The steamer does fit and I'm sure it will do the job, but basket is MUCH thinner than the Aroma Simply Stainless rice cooker pot. Both are made of "surgical grade 304 stainless steel," and by the same manufacturer, so I naturally figured the steel was of the same thickness. Sadly, I was mistaken. I was hoping for a higher quality product.

Be sure to season and put them in the oven as recommended by manufacturer. These pans are lightweight, do what they claim to do easily maintained and help you to cook healthier using less oil etc. The only drawback is they are not induction cooking compatible. I keep these pans at the house for cooking with gas and had to purchase Ja Henckles Zwillings "Spirit" pans for use with the induction cooktop I recently purchased.

I used Peanut oil in the first one.....stuck like Stainless steel, bought another one used Pam this time, same thing, bought another one used "Best Choice Vegie oil with the same outcome, I am begining to think this is just another scam, I also found these pans much cheaper at the Local "Fred's" store. I haven't givin up yet, I will Boil them in Dish soap and try again, they say that will bring them back to Factory finish. I'll let you know. Next day, I boiled 3 pans in soapy dish water for 30 min, reseasoned them with Veg oil as drected, still stick....I just don't know what to say now, I have Cast Iron pans that do much better at not sticking, save time and money invest in Cast Iron it will be here long after we are gone.

My wife bought me a combination Coarse Salt and Whole peppercorn grinder (squeeze type) for Christmas. It broke in half after about 4 months of use, rendering it functionally useless. Aside from the shoddy workmanship, the grinding mechanism left A LOT to be desired; everything came out coarse regardless of the setting you used. I was looking for a replacement and found these Salt or Pepper mills on Amazon. I bought one white and one black; for the obvious reasons (white = salt and black = pepper; for those of you in Rio Linda, as Rush would say).

They both work fantastically. They have twist-to-grind ceramic mechanisms, are made of glass and hold quite a bit of either salt or pepper. The coarseness dial is very adjustable and the price was just right. Buying two of these on Amazon cost me less than half what the double grinder my wife bought me cost so that satisfies my cheapness gene. I use them every day and have had them nearly a mont now. So far, not a single complaint to be made about them at all. They work as expected every single time I use them; the mechanism doesn't "gum up" with material, the coarseness settings work very well, and they look good on my table.

I have a cabinet full of salt mills -some never worked, some worked for awhile, some simply fell apart, and some -well, they "kind of" work. This one works! It works consistently, it holds a lot of salt, it's easy to clean and fill. What else can I say? It's also attractive, and I will be ordering one for my pepper as well.

This purple French Oven was a totally unexpected birthday surprise from my soldier son, who knew how long I'd wanted one and sent it to me for my birthday this year ~ needless to say, I cried buckets!! :) Not only did he remember, he took the time to go and order it from Amazon while in the midst of one of the most dangerous places on earth, Afghanistan. I could not get over it.

Besides the emotional aspect ... this covered French oven has turned out some of the most fantastic, delicious dishes I could ever hope for. I highly recommend it and routinely pack it into the dishwasher for cleaning, so that may be why it hasn't scratched as the previous reviewer stated I don't use any kind of cleaning pads on it, just a cloth to remove any solid bits, and it's come out clean as new every time, very happy about that also I make sure to use the Le Creuset silicone spatulas and spoons with it, which helps as well I'm sure. I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful piece of cookware!! :)

A few months ago, I was given this fantastic french oven and I still love it. It is a functional statement piece for any kitchen.

This french oven is really a dutch oven. I believe they call it a french oven because it's made by a french company but it performs all of the tasks normally performed by dutch ovens. This product is perfectly suited for soups, chillis, stews, etc. It heats evenly but be careful not to use too much heat because it's easy to burn food since it's made of cast-iron.

The color, Marseille Blue, is gorgeous. The outside of this french oven is covered in the vibrant blue enamel, while the inside is a tan color. The enamel makes it really easy to clean with soap and water (I've really put this to the test as I accidentally burned a lasagna in it).

My complaints about the product are as follows: because it is made out of cast-iron, it is really heavy to pick up, especially when food is in it. Secondly, you have to use oven mittens to hold it because it gets really hot as the handles, which are also made of cast-iron, retain heat just like any other part of the pot. These problems are not such a big deal to me but what really bothers me is that the black knob that comes with the dutch oven is only oven safe up to 375°F whereas the rest of the french oven is safe up to 500°F. The appeal of a french/dutch oven is that you can use it both on the stove and in the oven and this product, as it arrived, was not sufficiently oven safe for many of the meals I intended to use it for. Le creuset markets Le Creuset L9403-45 Stainless-Steel 2-Inch Replacement Knob that is safe for oven use and I purchased it but I like the look of the black knob better so that was a let down.

In the end, I rated this item 4 stars because despite the problems mentioned above, I love it. It's stunning. It cooks amazingly and clean up is a breeze.

I can't say it's the best French oven made since I haven't used every one made, but I have used Le Creuset cookware for years and I have never been disappointed. This one is a great size for casseroles etc for a family of 4, or fewer if you like leftovers. All Le Creuset enameled cast-iron cookware heats evenly and is a breeze to clean. They are heavy, but as expected for cast-iron. Yes, Le Creuset is expensive, but you get what you pay for. If you get one, likely you'll never be satisfied with another brand, so beware!

-Non-stick works really well; there is hardly any sauce left in the pot/pan after you simply pour it out.

-Lids fit well and are very high-quality.

CONS:

-Scratches easily.

-The bottom of the pots and pans are ribbed and hard to clean.

-We used the pans on a gas stove, and the non-stick wore off in approximately a year (not due to scratches but probably due to the heat). We are looking for a new set of longer-lasting cookware.

Love the pots and pans. The silicone handles don't get hot and it looks very nice. Cleans very easy and the price is fantastic! No matter where I shopped I couldn't find a better deal than Amazon. Now the down side, When I recieved the pots, on the dutch oven there was a manufactures defect on the bottom of the pot. The shinny, ribbed silver part was incomplete and it had some pretty deep scratches on it. I called the number provided in the Farberware box as directed by farberware and customer service so rudley told me they wont deal with it. Even though it was a manufactures defect, farberware won't honor thier warranty because I got the set off Amazon and they don't carry that set as an open stock item. So now I have to ship the entire package back to amazon to get a replacement of only the dutch oven. Amazon's customer service was great, farberwares on the other hand needs a whole lot of improvement.

I've been very happy with this set, especially the silicone handles as they really do stay cool. They're a huge step up from what we've been using (about 15 year old cheap and rather heavy cookware hooray for the student life). The only thing I might say is that they are quite easily scratched with metal utensils, probably a no-brainer I know but it was a little easier than I was expecting. Overall I love them though. They are made of aluminum so they are light and cook evenly, and the handles won't burn you.

The lids all fit wonderfully, it is indeed durable, the price is good, and while it isn't nearly as good as Farberware was in "the good old days" it is still a high quality product that will certainly last (so long as metal utensils are ALWAYS kept away).

My dearest husband started collecting a range of dishes while living in Denmark. When we got married we expanded on his collection, adding the larger pieces. This bowl is so practical. For roasting veg I can pull this out of the oven and put it right down on the dinner table. I have also cooked smaller meat joints, fish and even shepherds pie in it! The best part about this dish is that it can hold up to six servings of veg in it. We have other oven to table dishes but this one is much lighter and the handles make it easier to hold. I wanted a gratin dish that was right-sized for two to four people. There were great items in places like Williams Sonoma (honestly one of my favorite stores) that had designs on them that would not have worked with my china, and were seriously overpriced. The reviews I read on this product and on all Pillivuyt stoneware were good, so I tried it.

Wonderful. Works perfectly, looks great on the table, easy to clean. I plan to buy more pieces (now there is the perfect measure of "liking"). Very well priced not the cheapest, but not ridiculous either.

I was so excited to get this since it was so affordable, I thought! But you get what you pay for! This smelled like enamel, so I don't know what type they use. It didn't smell completely safe, though! It looks like only one layer of enamel and you can see the metal through it with imperfections in the iron peaking though. The edges are rough and uneven. I bought one 11" Lodge enamel pan for about the same price as this and it was worth that and more! The Lodge has excellent quality!

I bought this thinking it would be safer than the typical Teflon pan and easier to clean than a cast iron but after a month it literally exploded on the stove and I had to shove my daughter out of the kitchen to keep her from getting hit by the pieces.

I tried to return it but Amazon will not accept it back because it's been more than 30 days. I feel completely cheated. This was not only bad quality because it exploded but it was clearly cheaply made as it was very light (not like a cast iron pan should be) so I suspect there is very little cast iron in it at all.

DO NOT PURCHASE THISthe Lodge cookware, it may be more expensive at first but since I'll have to buy Lodgeware now to replace this hunk of junk I'm very sorry I didn't just buy it in the first place.

I purchased these pans about a week ago, and I've been making scrambled eggs in the largest one every single day since I bought them. I purchased these in 2008 and one of the skillets exploded on the first use. There were tiny shards of glass all over my kitchen and in our dinner. I tried to file a safety hazard report with Amazon, but couldn't make it through all the legal disclosures. I wasn't able to return them as I waited longer than 30 days to use them. We threw them in the trash. I have several Lodge and Le Creuset enameled pans that I have used for years without any problems. I saw these today while searching for something else. I'm surprised they are still being sold. Please don't buy these.

I went to the local kitchen supply to buy the Unicorn Magnum but did not like it. It was ugly and felt cheap. The deal killer was that there is no way to repeat the grind setting without trail and error. All respect to Adam in the equipment corner but there are more important criteria of a pepper grinder to me than just how much pepper it will grind per turn. This Peugeot not only looks good and feels good but it has the best adjustment of grind I have found. There are 5 marks on the base as seen in the photo. You twist the base to the marks or anywhere in between them to adjust, not the top knob as stated in another review (different Peugeot?). I am coarse and my wife is fine (typical right?) and we are constantly adjusting the grind. Haven't had any problems with it. Great!

This pepper grinder looks beautiful, works very well, and produces 6 distinct levels of fineness with ease. Unscrewing the top is easy, so refilling it is simple (my old pepper grinder required pliers to get the top knob off).

However, I found that the lacquer cracks easily on the base -the part you turn to select the grind. When I first received it, the grinder was cracked there. I returned this one and got another one in perfect shape. However with about 4 months of normal use (and only changing the grind thickness about 5 times) this one also has a crack in the base. From what I can tell this crack is only in the red coating, not the wood, but I am worried it will start flaking off eventually and look bad. If I could I would give it a 3.5 since it works so beautifully.

Excellent mechanism does a perfect job of grinding the pepper powdery fine if you hand-tighten the top screw and larger flakes as you loosen it. Such a difference between this and other brand names I've settled for. This mill comes highly recommended!

The magnetic knife strip I purchased was decent for the price, it was delivered quickly and was accurately described online. However, as many reviewers have noted, you will need extra hardware to hang this, namely, two anchors. The screws were just long enough to protrude through the back and into the anchors. To hang this you will also need an electric drill with the proper bit. I purchased the 18" and it securely holds up all eleven of my knives (which vary in size). Overall a good buy with a simple attractive design.

Bought the item to remove carving knives from the drawer, with the intention of mounting under cabinet/magnet down. The weight of individual knives proved to heavy for the magnet to hold in a horizontal position. I turned the holder upside down with the magnet on top and spaced it so that the blades slipped between the bottom of the cabinet and the top of the magnet so the knives now rest on the holder rather than suspended below it. Works great.

This magnet looks good and came with mounting hardware. Does a great job holding my large wide knives but smaller width blades will fall of if bumped because there is not enough surface area contacting the magnet to hold them securely. Wider knives have to be pulled off as they hold securely.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a well made well constructed pot. The narrow size allows to more rapidly heat water to a boil with no wasted energy heating up more water than necessary.

In addition to asparagus this pot could also be used for steaming many vegetables. Or for sauces, the narrow opening would limit evaporation (assuming you don't need to reduce the sauce this is a good thing).

The nonstick surface on the interior seems really high quality, though if used as a steamer it will never be necessary. It has ridges on the bottom on the interior as well. Sturdy but strange.

The one flaw is the insert basket, the gaps in it are too big, which limits the utility of the pot. Even some narrow asparagus will fall through. If it was a more complete finer mesh basket it would vastly increase the functionality of the item. Without that it will be limited.

This is an asparagus pot (and I love asparagus), but I think you can cook/steam anything you want. I will definitely try to cook broccoli, okry, corn on the cob, potatoes, cauliflower.

I love steamers, as food that is steamed tastes better than food cooked other ways (such as boiled, baked, fried, grilled).

I am a big steamer person, so now I will be eating even more asparagus.

I love this. Highly recommened if you are a veg/steamer person.

Around this house, we steam all our vegetables so this pot is a welcome addition to our house as it will come in handy and it matches our cookware which is Circulon.

I have been a Circulon owner for over 20 years and love it for its appearance, quality, even heating and balance, ease in cleaning, and moderate price. This pan has a quick release system which means nothing will stick to it and cleaning is made easier. A warm soapy washing should be the only thing needed to keep this pot clean and looking new. However, if this is used exclusively as a steamer, I doubt if you would ever need to do much more than wash it.

Despite the accompanying picture, this isn't a large pot. It is adequate enough to accomodate a bunch or two of asparagus. In order to steam the asparagus, you fill the pot with a few inches of water. I waited until the water reached a slow boil and then deposited the filled steam basket it the pot. I covered the pot with the snug fitting lid and monitored the cooking process until the asparagus was a bright green and tender yet not overcooked and limp. The end product rendered perfectly cooked and firm asparagus.

The stainless basket makes this a good steamer. It has folding handles which make extraction fairly easy. The riveted side handles are on the pot to stay. They are cool to the touch and makes this pot easy to move. Due to its size, this is an easy pot to store.

Due to its relatively small capacity, I'm not sure how this pot might be used in other situations with other foods. Since dinner here is usually dinner for two, I plan to use this for steamed fingerling potatoes, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, or two ears of corn.

The four of us usually eat at least 3 bundles (that little size premeasured in the produce department) when we eat asparagus. So I was thrilled to try this, but if you love aspargagus like us, this may likely be too small.

First, it's gorgeous...heavy metal, tall, high on design but actually small on capacity. The inner basket is cool, but the inside measurements (maximum stalk size) is just a smidge under 5" diameter and 7" tall. One grocery store bundle would fit nicely, two if packed in tight. Three, no way. So while it will likely keep the asparagus looking gorgeous as it steams, and cooks quickly because of the steam, you would likely need to make more than one batch.

However, if you are making it more as a pretty accompaniment or plan small batches, the asparagus looks very nice when it comes out, not battered and "thready" like when you saute in a pan. You can technically use it to steam other veggies as well, but I haven't tried it. Carrots will be next.

I also intend to try long green beans with the water already boiling and just dropping the basket in for a second. That could even work for corn on the cob (two or three maybe)....HMMM> Maybe there's more potential than I thought.

Circulon has a great rep and the thing is a design marvel, but it seems a bit overkill. Even the description is kind of silly, as it says the top is designed for easy storage. Sure, you just turn it upside down. Like, um, all my pots do. So whew! I guess I didn't know how cool and high tech my pots were.

You don't necessarily have to just steam asparagus, you can steam other things in there too but its shape makes it good for asparagus. As advertised, it is not-stick. The basket itself is pretty good. The only thing, as other reviewers note, is that if you have unusually small stalks, some might slip through the holes. Keep this in mind if you decide to steam green beans or something like that.
