I've been married 34 years and only recently had to throw out my favorite 3.5 quart enamel pot received as a wedding gift. I use this size pot for everything from soups to rice, macaroni to mashed potatoes -and I needed a quick replacement. I liked the style of the Vasconia pot, as well as the fact that it was non-stick.

This is definitely not a high quality cooking pot. It is lightweight and when it arrived there were already scratches around the rim where the non-stick surface meets the edge. Something that the photo doesn't show, nor does the item description state, there is an open release valve in the lid of this pot. I'm not sure how it's going to work for rice with that unwanted feature.

The pot does sit and cook well on my flat cooktop, so it does have that going for it. But it's lack of weight and thinness of the metal sides concerns me. I seriously doubt it will last for more than a year or two. Luckily, the price reflects the quality of the pot.

You get what you pay for. This pot will serve it's purpose, but it's not a high quality product.

Vasconia 3.75 Quart Non-Stick Aluminum Caldero with Lid

I feel this is a good value for the money. It is neither too big nor too small for my intended purpose.Seems well-constructed,has a glass see-thru lid which is a plus. The only drawback to this little pot it the open vent (which I didn't realize it had).I would have preferred a sealable vent to help keep the steam in.I also highly suggest using hot pads as the handles get hot enough to "brand" and blister your fingers. But all in all I think it will serve it's purpose well.I would recommend it to others and would not hesitate to buy another if need be.

I have had these for a few years. After the first year one of the tips broke off. A couple of years later another tip broke off, this time cutting an apple.

I don't have the warranty to know where to return these to, so I am stuck with them, but seriously I just want some better knives rather than paying to ship the bad ones somewhere and wait for a possible refund.

Even through I prefer Wustof to Henkels on the high end stuff, we have a cheap set of Henkels stamped steak knives that seem more sturdy and cut better than these.

These are not what you'd expect from Wusthof. The Wusthof symbol on the handle is a STICKER (!!!) which bleaches out after washing. Also, after 1 months use and washing, we're getting rust spots. While these knives are sharp, they are not holding up appearance wise. Very disappointed.

Best Deals for Wusthof Gourmet 6-Piece Steak-Knife Set

I have a set of these steak knives and love them.

Unlike most inexpensive steak knives these knives are fine edge and not serrated. I like the cut of fine edge knives. They make clean cuts without shreading. These are stamped knives which are a lot less expensive than the forged Classic knives in my set but they look the same and for how much they are used they perform well at half the price of the forged knives. I have never had the rusting problem, but I hand wash all my knives. These are not stainless steel. I heard once that most of the time when knives rust it is because they are put in the dishwasher. The dishwasher leaves metal deposits on your flatware. When those deposits dry they turn to rust. Come to find out it is usually your dishwasher that is rusting when this happens. I never stick good knives in the dishwasher.

Honest reviews on Wusthof Gourmet 6-Piece Steak-Knife Set

These are quite flimsy and develop rust spots extremely easily. Not the quality one would expect from this company. We have several of Wusthof Classic's line (Chef's, paring, utility, etc) have found them to be sturdy, true, well-balanced in the hand and have held up very well over the past 3 years in our busy kitchen. We didn't expect these steak knives to be of the same quality, but they were suprisingly low quality for the brand and the cost.

These "fine" knives doesn't stay sharp as long my Chicago Cutlery steak knives and the handles crack at the rivets. The logo-labels peel off leaving the adhesive on the handle. If they had a different sticker on the handle, they would be one quarter the price. I have a full set of Wusthof knives and there is no comparison.

I love my R.R. skillets. They are the best skillets I have ever bought. No more

cheap teflon pans for me.

I can use pam spray when cooking an egg and it does wash great. No residue left

on the surface.

Thank you

This pan is perfect! The handle has a nice grip and feels just right. The pan works as one would want an egg (omelette) pan to, and it also cleans out very well both inside as well as the bottom of the pan. I am very glad I purchased it! Don't hesitate! :)

I bought this pan because I had the 10 inch pan and loved it! I find these pans to be very sturdy. The finish is very strong and non-stick. I hand wash them because I want them to last forever!

This is a nice heavy pan for the money! We use it very frequently and cooks eggs very well! A good value!

For years, I used all clad cookware, and then some modified all clad cookware, namely "Emeril cookware". One mark of a quality pan is the thickness and material the base is made of. Nice thick bases on pans distribute heat evenly, and generally require some preheating. My cookware is about 10 years old, and is still going fairly strong, although my smaller 8 inch pan was ruined when a friend ran it through the dishwasher, and thus my reason for trying something different.

The Rachel Ray cookware is fairly thin, and is not reminiscent of any quality pan I've ever used. The handle is very stylish and comfortable. Despite the claim of nonstick, I still need to use a light coat of olive oil, although I do not use any sprays as per the instructions. I do find in general that my heat needs to be turned down when using nonstick pans.

For $20, I would say this is above average, so I'm not going to bash the product. I think it's a decent buy for the money. Now, if you want to start comparing it against a $100 all clad, well that's a different discussion, but again, for $20.00 I'd say this is a decent buy.

For someone who doesn't want to spend $100 on a high end pan, I would say the Emeril brand is of better quality (stay away from "sets"), and comparable in price to Rachel Ray cookware. Another outstanding brand is Calphalon. They make a very nice 8" pan.

I recently bought a pressure canner and a 4 quart Presto pressure cooker. I have been using the cooker so often that I decided to see if an older 6 quart pressure cooker I used to use that had some issues could be refurbished and put back into use in my kitchen.

A lot of the people who recently purchased the factory replacement kit from Amazon have complained about getting the wrong size gasket, and the vendor being unresponsive. I decided to purchase that product from another vendor, and get a non-factory replacement as well, so I would have a spare.

This gasket fits fine (as does the other one). The pressure vent is a different design from the original. Instead of having a round end at the bottom and top of the stainless steel rod that goes through the hole in the rubber plug, it has a crosspiece on one end. To look at it you would have to insert the plug upside down to make it seal, but it seems to work fine that way.

This purple French Oven was a totally unexpected birthday surprise from my soldier son, who knew how long I'd wanted one and sent it to me for my birthday this year ~ needless to say, I cried buckets!! :) Not only did he remember, he took the time to go and order it from Amazon while in the midst of one of the most dangerous places on earth, Afghanistan. I could not get over it.

Besides the emotional aspect ... this covered French oven has turned out some of the most fantastic, delicious dishes I could ever hope for. I highly recommend it and routinely pack it into the dishwasher for cleaning, so that may be why it hasn't scratched as the previous reviewer stated I don't use any kind of cleaning pads on it, just a cloth to remove any solid bits, and it's come out clean as new every time, very happy about that also I make sure to use the Le Creuset silicone spatulas and spoons with it, which helps as well I'm sure. I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful piece of cookware!! :)

A few months ago, I was given this fantastic french oven and I still love it. It is a functional statement piece for any kitchen.

This french oven is really a dutch oven. I believe they call it a french oven because it's made by a french company but it performs all of the tasks normally performed by dutch ovens. This product is perfectly suited for soups, chillis, stews, etc. It heats evenly but be careful not to use too much heat because it's easy to burn food since it's made of cast-iron.

The color, Marseille Blue, is gorgeous. The outside of this french oven is covered in the vibrant blue enamel, while the inside is a tan color. The enamel makes it really easy to clean with soap and water (I've really put this to the test as I accidentally burned a lasagna in it).

My complaints about the product are as follows: because it is made out of cast-iron, it is really heavy to pick up, especially when food is in it. Secondly, you have to use oven mittens to hold it because it gets really hot as the handles, which are also made of cast-iron, retain heat just like any other part of the pot. These problems are not such a big deal to me but what really bothers me is that the black knob that comes with the dutch oven is only oven safe up to 375°F whereas the rest of the french oven is safe up to 500°F. The appeal of a french/dutch oven is that you can use it both on the stove and in the oven and this product, as it arrived, was not sufficiently oven safe for many of the meals I intended to use it for. Le creuset markets Le Creuset L9403-45 Stainless-Steel 2-Inch Replacement Knob that is safe for oven use and I purchased it but I like the look of the black knob better so that was a let down.

In the end, I rated this item 4 stars because despite the problems mentioned above, I love it. It's stunning. It cooks amazingly and clean up is a breeze.

I can't say it's the best French oven made since I haven't used every one made, but I have used Le Creuset cookware for years and I have never been disappointed. This one is a great size for casseroles etc for a family of 4, or fewer if you like leftovers. All Le Creuset enameled cast-iron cookware heats evenly and is a breeze to clean. They are heavy, but as expected for cast-iron. Yes, Le Creuset is expensive, but you get what you pay for. If you get one, likely you'll never be satisfied with another brand, so beware!

Review of Le Creuset Silicone Super Spatula

Le Creuset Silicone Super Spatula, Cherry
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

There are spatulas, and then there are spatulas.

You know the kind we grew up with? Plastic handle, plastic business end, frayed around the edges where they had melted a little in the dishwasher or being too near a hot pan, but useful for scraping the last wonderful bit out of bowls and jars. Not great for stirring -made your shoulders tired -so you used a spoon for that and just broke out the increasingly stiff spatula for its limited scraping operations.

Then there's this whole Le Creuset family of spatulas.

I don't care what size -they're all wonderful. First the handle -it's a very comfortable wood, well made, with a great feel, that almost effortlessly transfers the motions of your muscles to whatever its in. More economy of effort, less tiring -so yes, I do stir with it now, instead of dirtying a spoon as well.

Second, the head -oh my! Silky smooth, incredibly pliable, scrapes much more easily than those old plastic heads -a true joy to use. And the bigger the better -stirs more, scrapes more -I can scrape a huge mixing bowl in just 3 swipes. And it feels great.

Last, and most surprisingly, it cooks! Yes, use it to stir a stir-fry! to scrape the last of a simmering tomato sauce out of the pan! To retrieve that last sticky lasagna noodle from the bottom of the huge stock pot that was boiling merrily 5 seconds ago! Yes, yes, yes. And the spatula is still soft, silky and unmarred the next day to scrape out a batter bowl.

I had a large one of these from Crate and Barrel for a year and then realized it was my most cherished cooking tool. Seriously. Then I lost it for a while and was surprisingly upset. By the time I found it again, I had ordered 4 more in different sizes on Amazon, figuring correctly that the Le Creuset line was the same as my original. Now I'm throwing out all the old plastic ones with a sigh of relief. I even managed to flip pancakes with this beauty last weekend. :)

If you think they're expensive, ask yourself how long a regular plastic one will last in its pristine condition (unmelted, I mean, unscratched, etc.) and how much value you place on a tool that functions immeasurably better and makes you feel good at the same time. I think you'll convince yourself, and I'm sure you'll be glad if you do!

STRONGLY RECOMMENDED in all sizes.

P.S. To be honest, I never run into the problem of the separating head that the previous reviewer mentioned -because I just wash the whole thing, intact, in the dishwasher. Yes. Does it wear the wood out a little bit? Of course. Does the year-old one look a little less fresh in the handle than the brand new one from Amazon? Yeah... but do I care? no! The wood just looks a little more weathered, which is fine with me. It still feels wonderful in my hand. The new ones have all gone in the dishwasher now, too, and I expect they'll all do just fine. If not, it's my choice, and I'll just replace them a little sooner but enjoy both the luxury and the convenience in the meantime.

Le Creuset has done it: they have improved their previously superb spatula, two of which served me over a decade.

Now the handle is even better and the balance better, while the fabulous blade shape remains its marvelous self.

IMO, the best. Plain and simple. And the amazing high temperature astounds.

Best Deals for Le Creuset Silicone Super Spatula

Very good spatula, but its also very big, it won't fit into typical jars for scraping, It has a conventional flat blade profile that I like for turning veggies during roasting and sauteing, but the hard angles where the handle meets the silicone can need some extra care when cleaning.

I am a fan of the thicker, rounder, wooden handle, which seems less prone to warpage than the original flat wood handle

Honest reviews on Le Creuset Silicone Super Spatula

I own about ten of the Le Creuset silicon spatulas. I like them. Easy to clean, reasonably durable and able to withstand heat. That said, i found it really annoying when the spatula head would frequently separate from the handle during the cooking process. Those of us who cook know that this is never a convenient situation. I wrote to Le Creuset and described my concern and they were courteous and professional enough to reply. Basically, Le Creuset informed me that the product was designed that the utensil head is to be capable of being removed from the handle (not sure why this "feature" is of any benefit) although not with the frequency that I encountered. Essentially, an apology for my inconvenience and their thanks for my calling the matter to their attention. Okay. I am good with that insofar as that was their position, except it did not solve my problem. However, I have found success in keeping the spatula head secured to the handle with the introduction of a permanent adhesive (Super Glue) to the inside of the spatula and re-inserting the wood handle. This has worked well enough to where I now glue the spatula head when I make a replacement purchase and prior to using it.

unless you're trying to advertise you have the most expensive equipment in your kitchen, this brand just doesn't work as well.. we have stainless steel mixing bowls and the silicone spatula is tough to move around the bowl.. it almost sticks to it. But the biggest problem is that after only a year and a half of using it only to mix batter once a week, it split.. it was never exposed to high heat, it just split open near the tip.. so now it's trash. I could have bought 3 or 4 'cheaper' ones that would have lasted 5 times as long.

I received this set as a gift three years ago, and I really love the set. At the time, I was not much of a cook and just out of college, but I am now married and we cook all the time with these pans. They are super sturdy and feel hefty without too much weight. I appreciate the "strain" feature and use it regularly.

The company also stands behind its products and responds to customers via email. I was missing one of the lids to the pans after a move. I contacted them about it, and they helped me to replace the piece. It was great service on their part, and although I know these pans are going to last me for years and years, I will probably buy WearEver again.

The product PICTURED is actually a wonderful product and I would give it 5 stars. The problem is you do not get the items pictured. The 9-1/2-inch stainless steel saute has been replaced by two aluminum frying pans with non-stick coating. My child ordered this for a sibling's wedding gift and contacted Amazon after he did not get the items pictured. They have made no change in the image even though this is not what you receive. As a longtime customer of Amazon, I am truly disappointed that Amazon continues to sell this item with a misleading picture. This is truly false advertising. As a result, we have looked elsewhere to purchase the pan set for the wedding.

I recently upgraded my range from a gas model to an electric smooth surface cooktop (which I LOVE). I soon realized that a lot of my old (cheaper) cookware which had worked just fine on my old stove didn't work as well on my new one. Because of the nature of the design of this type of cooktop, the heat "transfers" to the cookware instead of the "direct" heat of conventional cooking. Bottom line is that your cookware needs to sit flat in order to perform well. Mine didn't. I bought this set because I wanted 4 things: 1)heavy-duty cookware to work with my new cooktop, 2)a non-stick finish in the fry pan only (but stainless steel in the pots); 3)a strainer built into the lids and 4)see-through clear lids. This is the only cookware I've found that met ALL of my criteria. I can tell a big difference between the new cookware and the old.

I bought this set over a year ago and am very happy with it. The set looks like it did when I bought it--and that with very little care! I have had a few occasions where I burned food on a pan and if you soak it, it cleans up very easily with steel wool. Many people have commented that they really like how they look. The double spouts on the pans make for very easy pouring, and I really love the strain feature in the cover. They also heat very evenly.

The photo shows all stainless. Two aluminum frying pans with non-stick coating were in the box instead of the heavy stainless pan. This in not what I wanted to order, as I already have a worn out set with peeling non-stick coating. I wanted all stainless with laminated bottoms, and not the cheap non-stick coating.

This is the fifth Johnson-Rose stainless steel pan I have purchased. As pieces of my other set wear out, I replace them with this brand. It is both budget friendly and extremely sturdy. It takes abuse and continues to look good. The bottom of the pan is very heavy so maintaining a constant temperature is easy to achieve.

The eight quart stockpot is a replacement for my five quart (same diameter but lower sides) pan that I used for cooking pasta and soup. Although I took pains to keep the flame on medium, after four years the bottom of that pan warped it simply wasn't heavy enough to withstand the heat. I returned to this brand knowing how pleased I've been with the other pieces I've used in my kitchen for the last two years.

The exterior has a shiny stainless finish under the lip about 3/4 of an inch in height and also about a 1/2 an inch on the bottom edge where the heavy bottom base begins. The remainder of the pan -the exterior middle -is brushed stainless. This is a subtle yet attractive design feature, and practical.

The stainless steel pans with mirror finishes are beautiful, but over time, scrubbing eventually mars the sheen. After a year of scouring and cleaning, the Johnson-Rose pan with its practical brushed finish still looks beautiful. The pan has a definite commercial cookware appearance but the style is enhanced with its textural variation. A note about cleaning Bar Keepers Friend is the perfect product to use to remove any stains or discoloration and keep the pan looking spotless. And remember to keep the heat at medium high or below.

The lip of the pan flares out so the solid lid that rests on that lip forms a good seal. The pans I own with glass lids usually splatter boiling water out of the pot. These lids keep the pot contents in the pot not on my stovetop, reducing clean-up.

The handles on the pot and lid are not insulated, so be careful to use a pot holder because they do get hot. Based on my experience with this brand, I know that it will be in service in my kitchen for many years to come. It is nice to find quality at a reasonable price.

We live over 1/2 an hour away from the closest pizza place. Makes getting hot pizza home difficult. Not anymore. The pizzas and all the extras fit into this very large bag. The people at the pizzeria were amazed, they had never seen anyone bring one in before, and they do not deliver. Really very happy with this purchase.

We live far enough away from most of the pizza joints that they don't deliver out here in the boonies. And if we picked it up ourselves it was barely warm when we got it home. The Thunder Group pizza bag has made a big difference in the pizza we now bring home. The pizza is still hot enough when we get home with it that we don't have to heat it up as soon as we walk in the door. It was well worth the $27.00.

Best Deals for Thunder Group Pizza Bags

Recently picked up two pizzas from a local pizzeria and this bag conveniently held not only the two pizzas but also the bag of other stuff we ordered (Fries, wings, etc.) in a nice strap that was on top. This also allowed me to carry all of this very easily with one hand instead of doing the old "Two hand butt-to-car shuffle making sure bag doesn't slide off / one hand on car door handle with the corner of pizza box on car roof and open the door" that I normally have to do to get the food into the car. If you know what I'm talking about, you will realize that this bag will not just get your food home fresher and hotter, but also make getting it by yourself soooo much easier!

Honest reviews on Thunder Group Pizza Bags

We had a pizza bag for over ten years that worked great, it kept my pizza hot while driving home. It somehow disappeared so wanted to replace it. After reading the different descriptions and comparing prices I purchased the Thunder Group 20 x 20 inch bag. What a mistake. It was described as having 1 inch foam...well I guess you could say that because it has a half inch on top and on the bottom but I would call that description very misleading. The insulation doesn't work at all. If I put it on the back seat with a couple hot pizza's by the time I get home 10 minutes later, the seat below and the top of the bag are hot, which means it's allowing the heat to escape. My old bag would be cool to the touch.

We should have returned it the day we got it, and certainly after using it once or twice but got busy and forgot and missed out on the return window. We use it, but we are planning on replacing it with one that works better soon.

Works very well and fits a large without problems! If you ever go pick up your pizza and have more than a 5min ride, I'd recommend trying this!

I had a Kuhn Rikon and still have a Presto pressure cooker. I got rid of the Kuhn Rikon. I love the Fagor Duo. The Kuhn Rikon design is a real pain if you have an electric stove. It is probably almost acceptable if you have a gas stove. The Fagor models work equally well on either type stove. Also, along the same lines, the Fagor and the Presto designs are much more forgiving. You better plan on watching a Kuhn Rikon very closely -especially on an electric stove -but also on a gas range. It can get to an over pressure situation easily. Granted you will likely just blow out part of your gasket (the safety measure) if you get distracted. Who needs that? You better have an eagle eye and fast reactions to maintain a reasonably constant pressure inside your cooker with an electric stove.

You do lose some steam with a Fagor though typically much less than with a Presto model. (You lose nearly no vapor with a Kuhn Rikon -that is about their only big selling point in my book.) The Fagor model uses a compressed spring to regulate pressure. The Presto uses a weight on top of a vent pipe -this combination is called a jiggler valve -to regulate pressure. To regulate pressure with a Kuhn Rikon you basically watch a rising spring loaded pressure indicator and adjust the heat as needed. Gas heat is more quickly adjustable than electric. You have to either hope for the best as you crank the heat up and down with an electric stove or play hop scotch between a too hot and a too cold burner. On the Fagor Duo there are two spring compression settings. You can cook at 8 psig or 15 psig. 15 psig is the normal setting used for most pressure cooking. For delicate foods, like fish, or if you are in no particular rush the 8 psig setting will come in handy.

Bottom line is I like the Fagor the best of the three pressure cookers I discussed, next I like the Presto. The Kuhn Rikon is built like a tank and it is an interesting design. I just don't like it as well as the Fagor's and I am a both a mechanical engineer and I cook for a hobby. I'd like to think my opinion is an informed one.

About eight years ago I purchased the Fagor Duo 8-quart pressure cooker and have loved using it since my purchase. The pan is made of heavy duty stainless steel which cooks evenly and foods come out tasting like they are supposed to. No off tastes just well prepared food.

Once the pressure cooker reaches pressurization the cooker quietly cooks a tasty meal in minutes. Once in awhile you may hear a slight hiss but that's about it.

And finally, I think Fagor uses a standardized gasket for almost all of their pressure cookers. You can check with Fagor to confirm this.

Another plus is the ability to rapidly depressurize the cooker by turning the the knob to steam release. No more taking the pressure cooker to the sink to run water over the pan to quickly release the pressure.

I've cooked pot roasts, porcupine meatballs, soups, stews, ribs, and even rice pudding in my Fagor pressure cooker. All turned out great!

Best Deals for Fagor Duo Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker

I use to own an electric pressure cooker, and after many scorched meals, decided to try a stove-top model. It was the best move I could have made! 18/10 stainless, surrounding aluminum on the bottom has kept every meal scorch-free. I feel completely safe using this pressure cooker. It locks easily, and the dial indicating if the pot is at pressure and if it is at high or low pressure is fool-proof. There is nothing complicated about using this pressure cooker. I just can't say enough about this pot. I have cooked professionally, and I have cooked for many years. I would not be exaggerating if I told you that this is the best-loved piece of cookware that I own. Fagor has produced an outstanding product.

Honest reviews on Fagor Duo Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker

Just got this pressure cooker a few weeks ago and we love it! Solid, well-built, easy to use/clean--if you're looking for a top-quality pressure cooker at a reasonable price, this is the one to buy!

We purchased a Presto 6-Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker from Amazon about a year ago for $48.99. We were looking for a decent stainless steel pressure cooker without spending a ton of money. While the Presto is reasonably well made and you certainly can't argue with the price, in our opinion the Fagor Duo is 5 times the cooker at less than twice the price of the Presto. We're really sold on pressure cookers (the flavor, the time savings, etc) so much so that we decided to do our research and get a quality pressure cooker this time even though it would cost more. After a lot of research, we decided on the Fagor Duo.

First, I'd like to address some complaints about this item mentioned by some other reviewers here. I truly believe that many complaints come from people who didn't read and/or didn't understand the owner's manual, and trust me, when cooking with a pressure cooker you NEED to read the manual!!

For example, someone mentioned that it was hard to tell when this unit came up to pressure, and I couldn't disagree more! There is a plastic yellow rod built right into the handle that pops up about 3/8" when the unit develops the desired pressure, plus, with mine any hissing from escaping steam also stops once the proper pressure is achieved. I find this style of pressure indicator MUCH easier to use than the old "rocker-top" style cookers. Additionally, once pressure is achieved and you reduce the cooking temperature, the Fagor Duo maintains pressure MUCH better than our Presto rocker-top pressure cooker--in fact our Presto cooker was so finicky in this regard (you have to verrrrry slowly reduce the temperature or else the rocker stops rocking and you have to increase the temperature again.....) that we decided to get one of the newer style pressure cookers like the Fagor.

Someone else complained about putting the lid on wrong and having it jam. First of all, it's EXTREMELY difficult to put the lid on wrong--Fagor even engraves a mark on the lid of this pressure cooker that you line up with the handle to ensure easy and proper locking of the lid every time. In fact, that was another thing we didn't like about our Presto 6-quart pressure cooker--lining up the locking notches on the lid on was always a bit of a struggle, but the Fagor Duo model makes putting on the lid very simple. Again, reading the owner's manual (or watching the included Fagor instructional DVD) is VERY IMPORTANT!

Some of the features that we like the best are: The Fagor Duo is much wider at the base than the Presto cooker which is not only more stable, but also gives you more surface area for browning meats prior to pressure cooking. The Fagor Duo comes with a nice stainless steel steamer basket, an informative instructional DVD on pressure cooking, a well thought out and comprehensive owner's manual, AND a nice recipe book that includes over 50 recipes! It also has a very handy steam release valve built into the cooker lid that allows you to quickly vent the pressure (in order to open the lid after cooking is complete) without having to lug the heavy pot over to the sink to run cold water on it, or wait the 5-10 minutes for the pressure to drop by itself. There's also two pressure settings (thus the name "Duo") so that you can cook/steam delicate foods like veggies, fish, etc at a lower pressure.

All in all we couldn't be happier with the Fagor Duo. We considered a Kuhn 8 quart pressure cooker, but the $200 price tag for the Kuhn combined with the great reviews for the Fagor Duo make our decision easy.

If you're new to pressure cooking, don't make the same mistake we did by buying a lesser unit to save money, just bite the bullet and get the Fagor. With it's build quality and 10 year warranty it should give you many, many years of great service!

The pressure cooker caught my eye after watching Iron Chef. I too wanted to cook faster with awesome results. This pressure cooker does that. I am amazed by the variety and possibilities the device has opened up to me. Potato Soup in five minutes, chicken stock in under 20 and stuff cabbages that are out of this world; all brimming with big flavor.

My recommendation is to buy it. I could not substantiate handles breaking or any failings from a cooking or manufacturing stand point. The pot is solid. It is super easy to use and seems as safe as any other pot. Check out the vid review to see it for yourself.

What a nifty little item this is and it has brought some peace to our tumultuous household, and indeed, marriage. I note it has been said that this is the ideal kitchen utensil to be use by children making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. This is quite true, but in our case, it is not the children who need the help and/or training, but rather me! I love PB&J sandwiches and snack on them quite often. It has long been a point of contention between my wife and me, in that I tend to get the peanut butter in the jelly jar and jelly in the peanut butter jar. Messy, messy, messy. I don't really mean to do this but it seems it is in my nature to make a mess of such things when I muck about in the kitchen.

My wife is an understanding lady; a lady with infinite patience; quite likly to become a Saint when the time comes, make no mistake, but after 47 years of ranting (this for some reason is a sore spot with her), she finally took action and purchased one of these little items for my use. I must say it works perfectly and since about a month ago I have not had to listen to one sarcastic remark, receive one lecture, or endure one of her dark and penetrating looks of disgust and distain. Shivers!

This Cuisipro Peanut Butter and Jelly Spreader performs just the way they say it will. Being color coded, I find that even I can remember which end to use during each phase of building my sandwich. The two food jars stay pristine and true to their original contents; no cross contamination or pollination or what ever you want to call it here, no, no, no! This makes her happy and certainly takes much stress out of my life.

The length of this thing is adequate and it allows you to make a nice even spread of the peanut butter, which as all lovers of this classic food know, is extremely important. The jelly, depending one what flavor is more problematic due to the consistency of the various varieties, but as I always use either cheap grape or more expensive elderberry, I have mastered those two perfectly. I doubt if I will experiment with other flavors of jelly due to the fact that after all these years I am a bit set in my ways so I am not going to worry about it. Let the younger folk, the more daring, find for themselves if this item works on strawberry preserves, marmalades and jams. My adventuresome days are over.

Clean up is a snap as a quick run under the water tap and wipe from a paper towel leaves absolutely no residue smeared on the counter top...something else that seems to throw her, i.e. my wife, into a state of extreme agitation. The one small problem I did find was the same that another reviewer here has already mentioned. If you use the jelly end first, then reverse for the peanut butter, then you tend to get jelly on your hand. Now it is a known fact that if you put the peanut butter on last, the sandwich simply DOES NOT taste right. I have found that simply licking the jelly off the fingers works best and is rather enjoyable. If my hands happen to be dirty at the time, then I let my dogs do it. They seem to enjoy it and I share my sandwiches anyway.

Now the 25 year warranties is nice, make no mistake, but for me that is rather moot as it is quite unlikely that I will make it to the warranty cut off date. It is comforting to know though that it will last longer than I will and I am safe from and spared her wraith.

I do highly recommend this product. If you share my traits in this area, it will make your life so very much more pleasant. Now....if I can just remember to reseal the bread and put the lid back on the two jars and place the jelly back into the refrigerator, or.....well, I will work on those things later.

In our family we give a "mystery" kitchen item each year. Everyone tries to guess what the item is used for. This spreader really had the group stumped, someone finally came up with it on the third day, with some minor hints. Since then my 11 year old has been using it to make sandwiches. She says it works great, but you need to spread the peanut butter first. This really is a gift for some one who has everything.

We have a family member with peanut allergies (a relative that does not live with us but visits often). I just like that we can designate a utensil just for the peanut butter and we know that none of our other kitchen items are used with it. It has been a great product for us and let's us try to be as safe as possible!

Honest reviews on Cuisipro Peanut Butter and Jelly Spreader

This peanut and jelly spreader is the greatest.. So easy to use, and no messy fingers when getting to the bottom of large jars... It is even color coated...a must have....

this is the cutest idea! It however is not the handiest thing I have ever used. If it were a few inches shorter you wouldnt get peanut butter or the jelly on your arm when you switch sides.

Never underestimate Amazon.com.I was so pleased to be able to get this replacement part for my 50 year old pressure cooker. My regulator accidently went down the drain and the handle broke off in the garbage disposal. Of course it works perfectly.Thank you amazon.com for making it so easy to find this part.

Pressure cooking is my preferred quick cooking method. My Presto pressure cooker was puchased in 1988. I lost the regulator weight when we moved into our present home six years ago. I tried finding one in stores and even purchased a new cooker hoping the weight would be interchangeable. This did not work, so I was very happy to find exactly what I needed on Amazon.

Mine does not match the picture and has a plastic top rather than a metal one. The plastic is much stouter than the original one that broke off. Very nice workmanship.

The description did not give enough information. I do have this presto cooker and lost the regulator and ordered this one and where it sets on the top cover my is not a square hole to fit it on. Mine is a little longer...

This quality of this griddle is fairly low, it is a rough casting and not preseasoned. But it is usable after some smoothing of edges with a file and a lot of seasoning.

The first one I received was so badly warped it was unusable.

But Goodmans promptly replaced it with one personally checked for flatness, and they suggested I not bother to return the bad one.

Unusual customer service and much appreciated by me! I can use the bad one as a stepping stone in the rock garden.

This being cast iron means it will last forever and always perform well. I am happy to get it as I love cast iron for cooking. One problem is that it is to short to be put on two burners.
