Well, since getting this Meatballer, I have played with it.

At first with meatballs and then with cake pops.

And even though I have different recipes for meatballs (I tried two varieties, one wetter one dryer) they both did not work. I tried just leaving them in this shape to see if they would magically end up round (I fried one batch, baked one batch) And my conclusion is that if you want OVAL with a definite indented line in the middle (think Macaroon halves put together)...this is for you!

HOWEVER, if you wanted "Round" Balls, without having to reshape them, then these are just a waste of time and money, in my humble opinion. Easier way? Use your cookie scoop, or use a scale to weigh them to get them all uniformly sized.

This product works well-although I don't use it to make meatballs. It's a great cake pop maker! It really helps to get the size consistent, and it was hard for me to find another 1.5" baller, which is what Bakerella sizes her cakeballs at in her book. Highly recommend if your as bad as I am at getting consistent sized balls!

Best Deals for Fox Run 278 Stainless Steel Meatballer, 1.5-Inch

The meatballer did not work at all. The meat stuck to the inside of the baller and I was not able to form into balls. If it would have stuck I don't think it would have compacted the meat enough to form a nice meatball. I ended up using my hands, so needless to say the purchase was a waste of money

Honest reviews on Fox Run 278 Stainless Steel Meatballer, 1.5-Inch

Works like a charm and the same size every time is great. Have to tap it a little to get the meatball out, but I think its worth it.

This baller is great and very well built. It is a bit heavier than I anticipated but it makes the utensil stronger to use.

The reason I gave 4/5 stars is because I was expecting it to be circular shape instead of cylindrical. I was hoping it would be a perfect (or near perfect) circle ball but it is not. The item is longer than it is wide. I anticipated using it for my cake pops, but we'll have to see.

As a meatballer it is perfect!

It is not easy to find a great stainless steel roasting pan that is induction compatible. One needs a pan that can be used on the stove top to deglaze it or make gravy on an induction range. All stainless steel roasters are not induction compatible. They must react to a simple magnet or they will not function on the induction range. It will work fine in the oven, but not on top of the range. Here is the perfect roasting pan which will function in both places. Although the rest of our pots and pans are All-Clad copper core, their roasting pan is not induction compatible so this pan is a great alternative. Although it is not made in America, but Indonesia, it is sturdy, three ply construction with riveted handles and comes with a non-stick rack. Its sturdy construction looks like it will maintain a flat bottom which is essential for induction ranges. It is larger in overall size than my old Ltd anodized aluminum and non-stick roasting pan which will now be passed on to the next generation. With a rounded lip it pours easily with less dripping than the old straight sided pans. The handles face inward and do compromise the internal dimension slightly, but this would only be a problem for the very largest imaginable roast or turkey. This pan is also non-stick which I actually prefer for roasting. I purchased it through Amazon at 50% off suggested retail price which is a good deal.

This is a great roasting pan.

I bought this particular pan because I needed one that I could heat on my induction cook-top and this really fit the bill. Nice construction and performance.

My only slight quibble are the handles, which I feel could be a bit wider.

I got this for Christmas and was very pleased with it. The pan is very well made, and the non stick rack cools off very fast. The rack can move a little bit in the pan, as most do, so be aware of that before you hold it at an angle and the meat slides, other than that it's extremely well built and should last for a long time.

Honest reviews on Viking 16x13x3 Inch Stainless Steel Roasting Pan with Nonstick Rack

The product was shown and described as the Viking Professional Roasting Pan with Stainless Steel Rack by Metro Kitchen. They sent me a pan with a non-stick rack. I did not even open the box as I use NOTHING with non-stick ever ! That is why I ordered one with a stainless steel rack ! The Metro Kitchen just shrugged it's shoulders and told me Viking no longer makes it with a stainless steel rack and that I could send it back. It cost me $25.00 to send it back which is wrong, wrong, wrong ! I never would have ordered a non stick item, ever ! I had to pay the price for THEIR mistake. It makes me furious. I will NEVER order from Metro Kitchen again !

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my gorgeous 7-ply Viking cookware made in Belgium by Demeyere. I bought this roaster on a great sale before the holidays thinking it was the same thing. It is NOT. It's a wonderful roaster, and certainly well worth what I paid for it ($99). But it's 3-ply instead of 7-ply, is made in CHINA instead of Belgium, and is very obviously not the same quality. My roaster came with small imperfections (dents) on two edges, and I called MetroKitchen (Amazon's sub-contractor) to report the problem. MetroKitchen does not have good customer service anymore. A few years ago I bought several things from them and dealt with the same young man every time and they were (he was) great. This time they were super un-helpful. A woman answered who was argumentative and difficult and refused to do a return in time for holiday cooking. I ended up keeping it. No big deal. As I say, it's certainly well worth what I paid. But don't be fooled: this is NOT the glamorous high end 7-ply Belgian line of Viking cookware. It doesn't have the finish or sheen, and it doesn't clean up as nicely.

Buy Progressive International Collapsible Cupcake and Cake Carrier

Progressive International BCC-1AZ Collapsible Cupcake and Cake Carrier in Amazon Exclusive Protective Box
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
I bought this a few weeks ago because I'm always making cupcakes and never have an easy way to bring them anywhere. Most cupcake holders hold 12 cupcakes or crush the frosting. The other problem is that most holders take up so much room when you need to store them that it's not worth having them in the first place. This holds 24 cupcakes and has enough headroom to prevent frosting mishaps. It also has an ingenious collapsible design to allow it to take up less than half its original height. I'll break down the positives and negatives:

POSITIVES:

Collapsible, space-saving design

Holds 12-24 cupcakes you choose! Use one tray for 12, 2 trays for 24.

Included cupcake trays are nice to look at, easy to clean, and have finger-holes to allow easier removal of individual cupcakes

Cupcakes have enough headroom on both levels for mounds of frosting or decorations

Use it with cake instead of cupcakes if you want by just removing the trays altogether.

NEGATIVES:

The included cupcake trays don't interlock with the base in any way. They actually slide around quite a bit until you put the cover on. This creates a problem for loading and for unloading. If they had made a small groove that the tray could have sat in or a way to lock them in place without the cover, it would have increased the stability of the trays for loading and unloading. NOTE: They don't move when you put the lid on, only with the lid off!

I doubt the handle is going to be strong enough for holding heavy cakes. I don't honestly expect to hold a cake caddy by the handle, though some cakes can weigh a lot and I'm not going to trust a handle with my time-consuming precious baked masterpiece. I always carry from the bottom. Still, the handle has the very important job on this cake caddy of being able to expand the thing from collapsed to full.

Requires a fair amount of strength to uncollapse.

Kind of ugly. The red band is really not a nice color. I would have preferred it in white. It really goes with nothing it's not Christmas red, it's more of a maroon, but even then, it's not REALLY maroon, either. It's just not pretty and it looks dated now, it's going to look even more dated in a few more years.

Cupcakes could flip sideways/over if you're not careful. I had no mishaps bringing cupcakes where they needed to go because I was very careful, but bringing the cupcakes home I was less careful and some of the leftovers flipped on their sides.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this. The trays are made of high-quality plastic that doesn't stain (black food coloring sat on it for 7 days and came right off without even any soap). The locks feel secure. The space-saving design sets it apart from every other cake caddy on the market. And it can hold 24 cupcakes without much trouble. Even though it's ugly and the trays slide around initially, I think it's a pretty good product.

If you buy this carrier, replace the handle even if you don't plan to carry it by the handle. The provided handle is a tragic accident waiting to happen. Just make sure that the replacement handle is designed so it wont slide down into the carrier and drape in your frosting.

The carrier is cleverly designed, but it's cheaply made. The raised cupcake tray stands on slightly wobbly stilts, attached to the lower cupcake tray. The lower cupcake tray doesn't actually attach to the base. As a another commenter pointed out, the situation is stabilized by the lid being in place, so it shouldn't be a problem if you're careful while loading it up.

The collapsing action is okay. The red rubber in the middle folds down so the carrier is only half height for storage, but it's firm enough that it shouldn't accidentally fold down and crush your baked goods, though you should not try to rest anything on top of the carrier. It would have been better if there were stabilizers to keep this from being an issue, but it's a small risk. (I haven't been using it long enough to know how much the rubber will soften with use.)

The only terrible feature for me was the one that left me standing in my driveway mourning ruined cupcakes when the cheap handle broke the first time I used it. It wasn't even full. There's really no excuse for this. The carrier is designed to be carried by the handle. With a replacement handle, the carrier is a good one. If not for the lousy handle, the carrier would have been worth another star or even two, but as it is, it is a product that has ruined many people's days and will ruin many more.

I probably wont buy any more products from Progressive. I wont trust that they don't have any other vital and stupid flaws.

I bought this for a cake decorating class I was taking. I used it twice and when I was carrying my beautifully decorated cake out of class the second night the carrier handle broke and the cake dropped to the floor. If I would have known the handle was made so badly I wouldn't have bought this item. Don't waste your money!

Honest reviews on Progressive International Collapsible Cupcake and Cake Carrier

I wasn't into cupcakes until a little challenge came up at work about 18 months ago and since then I've been experimenting ever since with about 400+ cupcakes baked under my belt. I realized I needed a carrier for transporting cupcakes to work and parties since the hobby seemed to be sticking to me for more than a minute. I preferred the collapsable design but the mixed reviews of this carrier prevented me from purchasing it until about 6 months ago.

I have to say I'm very happy I did. I have not had any signifigant issues with this carrier. The cavet is though, I've never tried carrying it by the handle and double, triple check the locks. I would recommend not carrying this by the handle.

I have used this close to 20 times to transport cupcakes to work and parties. Cupcakes are very easy to manage in this carrier I have not had any lost "frosting" or decorations ruined and I'm known to load the frosting and decorations on the cupcakes! I even used the carrier (minus the cupcake trays) to transport a petite wedding cake (high top cake for bride and groom). I used this for my cake decorating classes all summer too. Every time it worked as designed.

There are two issues I have with this carrier I would share with someone contemplating purchasing this. First, as noted by others, the cupcake trays do not lock into the bottom of the carrier. It's snug once the carrier is locked but I did have an almost wreck when the cupcake tray moved a little on me when I was filling the bottom tray. The second issue would be the "collapsable" feature and this is more of a worry / concern. I've been watching it very carefully and the carrier does not show any wear; however, I'm nervous this material will eventually give preventing its use and/or comprimise the structural integrity of the carrier. I try not over "collapse" / store without collapsing it if I'm going to use it within a week which goes against the main reason I purchased this one. Again, this is just a fear at this point.

I would love to have seen this with a mini-cupcake tray option too. They have been pretty hard to transport without lossing a few each time.

Overall I would recommend purchasing this carrier if you're a frequent cupcake / round cake baker with the disclaimer don't carry it by the handle and double check the locks whenever you start to transport something in this carrier.

First off I DO agree that the handle was in retrospect rather cheap as it broke for me too... BUT not until I had transported at least 3 heavy fully decorated cakes and several times with cupcakesI fully agree with many here that mentioned that you would (or should) NEVER rely on the handlea plastic one at thatto transport something that you spent SO much time and love on and that is basically irreplaceable unless you SOMEhow have the time to start alll over again :) I am SO sorry for those of you who experienced such a nightmare! But I have always tried to learn a valuble lesson from such disasters! This is a very very heavy dutyand heavy carrier so the handle clearly wouldn't be enough to hold it when full of something so heavy and dense as cakes/cupcakes....I always (thankfully) held it by the bottom and used the handle to help hold it upright and steady. My handle DID however break though when my husband used it to pull out the top from the collapsed state. I say above that I wish I had read these reviews to know this would certainly happen so we could have 'babied' it for a bit longer. He assures me we can fix it as you do need something to pull it out from the collapsed position.

HOWEVER, this is most certainly better than any other carrier I have tried myself and I've had severalthey just don't carry so many cupcakes or ones that have piles of beautifully decorated cupcakes without compressing and messing up all your work! The stands are great for display as well if it's not a particularly fancy eventif so I would transfer them to a tree etc...but quite nice for taking to your office etc.can just take the top off and they are beautifully ready for people to take them out one by one without messing up the others due to the finger cutouts that others mentioned.... and Yes a cake WILL slide around and ruin your work as well as cardboard certainly slides on plastic but I have found this to be a concern on any carrier and I just cut out a piece of rug backing or the same design of shelf liner or the like. It works perfect and you don't see it!!

All in all I give this at least 4 stars and the only reason it's not five is because for five stars I expect shear perfection :)

Hope this helps!!

psnot sure why one person said it was ugly? I don't really care what the cover looks like to begin with but I will say that I have actually gotten several compliments on it! :)

5 Stars for Amazon customer services, 2 stars for the lid, and 4 stars for the pot itself. Here is why.

I have exchanged this pot 3 times, each time there were heavy scratches all over the lid even they were all brand new.

I exchanged again and again, and finally got tired of it, so I contacted amazon customer service hoping they can could do something about the rest of the pots in their warehouse. Sure they did, they filed the report, and had someone helped me check the lid before shipping it out to me. The last one I received still has some minor scratch on the lid, but it was a lot better than the first few. The pot itself however is excellent, it's easy to clean, non-stick, dishwasher safe, holds temperature well, I couldn't be happier.

We had a hard time finding pots that work well with induction cooking. (Try rice in a stainless steel pot not good.) This pot was pricey, but it turned out to be absolutely perfect. We can cook rice, anything and it comes out flawlessly.

The non-stick is NON-TOXIC and makes cleanup a super breeze.

You can also use metal tools, but we don't. The construction was meant to last generations, and the non-stick is super welded so that it will probably last forever, too.

The only minor little thing is that the handles are a tad bit bulky and large, like a pair of big ears. But, they seem to remain cool, so perhaps that's why they're large. But the pot is fairly lightweight, easy to handle.

We tried the same size with the long handle but traded it in for this model. We now have the Scanpan frying pan and this pot that's all we need besides our outdoor MSR stainless campware that we also totally love.

Wish we had these Scanpans from day one... They're the perfect pots for induction cooking can't be beat. They are also incredible for conventional gas and electric stoves as well. Totally versatile. Nontoxic nonstick super durable. A+++++. I can't ever seeing buying any other type of pots.

And also, induction cooking is totally cool. In more ways than one. : )

Best Deals for Scanpan CTX 5.5-Qt. Covered Dutch Oven

I have been enjoying cooking with this. I like the product's look and feel. My old steel pot used to cause food to burn in one spot due to uneven heating. This new one is not posing that problem. I am very happy with it overall.

I am holding back one star because the design leads one to believe that the clear transparent lid would allow one to look at the food inside while cooking. But the reality is that the moisture in your food condenses on to the lid and there is nothing you can see. Given that this transparent lid is ineffective, and noting that the manufacturing of the lid would be more complex on account of having to seal the transparent part to the metal and multiple parts to manufacture, I feel that the designers of Scanpan should stop manufacturing the transparent lid and make a robust metal lid that will make the product more sturdy overall. If the lid falls down by accident, I would have more confidence in a full metal lid with minimal number of parts.

Honest reviews on Scanpan CTX 5.5-Qt. Covered Dutch Oven

I've tried one scanpan and now have 6 pieces. Simply THE BEST! Cooks very well, easy to use, and cleans well. The best nonstick coating I've ever tried. It browns and sears as well as nonstick. I highly recommend.

This cookware is exemplary. Only moderate heat is required to use these pans as they conduct heat more efficiently than any other pan I've used. Heating on medium-high will bring water to a boil more quickly than other pans used on high heat!

The non-stick surface truly is non-stick! It cleans up with a quick wash with a soapy sponge. And the stainless steel exterior stays pristine with a quick wipe and occasional light scrub with Bar Keeper's Friend stainless steel cleaner.

After reading some of the other reviews and of course watching the infomercials I was epxecting miracles. I didn't get them.

To be frank I've only used one of these pans once but the results merited this review.

I don't expect the preformance to improve with time.

I did season the pans according to the directions and used the larger one to make a large omlet. I expected the omlet to simply slide out of the pan. It did not and required a bit of encouragement. I was a little surprised at the "residue" that stayed behind in the pan.

The pan was placed off to the side away from a heat source.

After we finished the meal (omlet was fine but no different than any other) I immediately went to the pan fully expecting to wipe it out with a paper towel. That didn't happen either.

I ended up having to soak the pan for a few minutes and then scrub it out with an all putpose non-scratch type scrubber sponge. A few places required a tiny bit of work.

I guess the pans are OK but in no way did this one live up to the hype.

I consider it to be middle of the road non-stick cookware at best. I've used many other non-stick pans that I liked better.

Honestly I regret the purchase and wish I'd stayed with stainless or cast iron.

And incidentally although Stoneline calls this is a "German product" on their website, I find this deliberately misleading.

The pans are made in China.

I'm not a culinary professional but a good home cook. Pan was used on a high-end gas range.

I am a retired food service professional with over 23 years experience.

Saw the ads for the Stonedine and balked at buying a whole $300 set.

One review I read stated that the Stonedine and Stoneline pans are made by the same manufacturer. So I gave the Stoneline pans a try. Stoneline WX-9176 2-Piece Fry Pan Set

It took a looong time for them to arrive, but I have to say they under-promised and over-delivered as the items arrived well before the original estimated ship date.

Received my pans in excellent condition and could not wait to give them a go. So after washing and seasoning according to directions, I made a two egg cheese omelette in the small pan with absolutely no oil in the pan.

Once the eggs set up a bit, I was able to flip the omelette with a flick of the wrist. I purposely let the cheese weep out of the omelette a bit and then let it brown. The whole shebang slid out of the pan and onto the plate with ease. It was easily the best I've ever made, and I've made tens of thousands of them.

Oh, and once done with my snack and the pan had cooled a bit, I cleaned it with a soapy PAPER TOWEL, not that it even needed that.

I am thoroughly impressed and can't wait to make pancakes in it.

Although, obviously, I can't speak as to the durability of the coating, it seems pretty robust and time will tell. If one doesn't have to pry food off the bottom of the pan to turn it or use a scouring pad to clean it, it seems to follow that the surface should last indefinitely. Best fry pan I've ever used.

That being said, I can't imagine why one would need the stock pot or some of the other offerings with this coating. The fry pans, however, are a home run.

Best Deals for Stoneline WX-9176 2-Piece Fry Pan Set

I bought my stoneline pans a year and a half ago. The larger one is used more often and has many scratches. I have only used plastic or silicon utensils and always washed with a sponge or rag. There are bubbles which I can only imagine come from the medium-high temperatures. I read another review just now that also had the bubbles on her large pan. Lastly, once I made a dish with either paprika or red tomato sauce the pan never came totally clean again. It is discolored much like plastic that goes through the dishwasher after spaghetti night. My smaller one looks great, but in a family our size we rarely use the tiny pan. I wouldn't be so annoyed except that they cost so much most and promise so much.

Honest reviews on Stoneline WX-9176 2-Piece Fry Pan Set

1. I bought the 2-piece fry pan set because of all the positive revues on Amazon.

2. I assumed that the pan was made in Europe but the label on the box said China. Amazon

should indicate if a product is made in China. I do not want things from China.

3. I,ve used the large pan a lot and after about 6 months, I noticed small bumps on the

frying surface like air bubbles. I,ve always rinsed the pan in hot water and scrubbed

it down with a soft sponge. The bumps have increased in number after each use and I

have rubbed the pan down with oil and paper towel and bits of coating have been coming

off on the paper towel. The pan in the area where the bumps were is now turning into

a big white splotch.

4. I am still using the pan although I am not sure if it is safe to do so. The pan did

perform well for 6 months or so but I will be looking for a new pan soon.

5. For the price I paid, I do not recommend this pan to others.

6. I have bought many items from Amazon and this is the first time that I have been

dissappointed.

This is one of 2 items I have purchased from Amazon that is of poor quality in nearly 10 years of shopping. I was looking forward to it so I could prepare multiple healthy meals on the weekend for a busy work week.

The metal finish of the base unit was dull and easily marked. The black portion of the unit also was very cheap appearing and easily marked. There are no lights on the unit to tell if a pot is off or on.You plug it in and adjust the dials. You could easily get burned.

The pot and lids were fine but the base really takes away from the product. The unit is also quite lengthy. It takes up alot of counterspace. It easily could have been more compact. Also, the cord had a sticky white substance stuck to it that took nearly 30 minutes to peel off in little pieces, YUK!

It is too heavy and bulky to return.

I will try it but most likely it will go to a good cause. Next time I will pay more attention to the brand name.

I recently had a massive clumsy moment and dropped a three piece cookware set, shattering into many large chunks as well as hundreds of slivers of glass. Concrete garage slabs are not very conducive to absorbing harsh impacts. I began searching for a replacement set and came across some articles that led me to further research. The bottom line the Simax is manufactured in Europe using borosilicate glass (a much stronger glass than soda-lime glass). The Simax cookware is a bit more expensive than what is otherwise available but much more durable, stronger and safer. You can research borosilicate versus soda-lime glass and make your own decision. I'm certainly comfortable with the one I made. (I'll be using this same review for the Simax 1.5 quart glassware)

I was so excited to get this since it was so affordable, I thought! But you get what you pay for! This smelled like enamel, so I don't know what type they use. It didn't smell completely safe, though! It looks like only one layer of enamel and you can see the metal through it with imperfections in the iron peaking though. The edges are rough and uneven. I bought one 11" Lodge enamel pan for about the same price as this and it was worth that and more! The Lodge has excellent quality!

I bought this thinking it would be safer than the typical Teflon pan and easier to clean than a cast iron but after a month it literally exploded on the stove and I had to shove my daughter out of the kitchen to keep her from getting hit by the pieces.

I tried to return it but Amazon will not accept it back because it's been more than 30 days. I feel completely cheated. This was not only bad quality because it exploded but it was clearly cheaply made as it was very light (not like a cast iron pan should be) so I suspect there is very little cast iron in it at all.

DO NOT PURCHASE THISthe Lodge cookware, it may be more expensive at first but since I'll have to buy Lodgeware now to replace this hunk of junk I'm very sorry I didn't just buy it in the first place.

I purchased these pans about a week ago, and I've been making scrambled eggs in the largest one every single day since I bought them. This morning I put the eggs in like normal and walked over to the sink to grab a cutting board; thank goodness I turned away because I heard a LOUD POP and then another LOUD POP. I jumped out of my skin. The enamel had exploded off quite violently, and there was enamel shrapnel all over the stovetop and contaminating all of my food. I bought these pans to get away from using toxic Teflon but exploding enamel is hardly safer.

Please be aware that the size shown on this site includes the handle -so the pans' actually usable space is much, much smaller.

I purchased these in 2008 and one of the skillets exploded on the first use. There were tiny shards of glass all over my kitchen and in our dinner. I tried to file a safety hazard report with Amazon, but couldn't make it through all the legal disclosures. I wasn't able to return them as I waited longer than 30 days to use them. We threw them in the trash. I have several Lodge and Le Creuset enameled pans that I have used for years without any problems. I saw these today while searching for something else. I'm surprised they are still being sold. Please don't buy these.

I'm replacing all my cookware with Lodge Logic. This little pot seemed like a luxury item, since I expected to use it to melt chocolate and butter or scald milk. But I cook and bake a lot so decided to treat myself to a specialty item.

It was delivered a few minutes ago, and I can immediately see a lot of uses for it, including: reheating gravy, heating a single serving of vegetables or other side dish, warming a 14 oz. serving of soup. And of course, melting chocolate and butter.

It has a pleasing shape, and the handle is a good length. Spouts on either side will make pouring easy and neat. Another winner, Lodge!

I bought this thinking it would get used once in a while to melt some butter or heat up some syrup. I find that it is the most used cast iron tool in my arsenal. It has almost eliminated the use of my microwave which is a good thing. Left over soups, chili, and just about anything else that is liquid or semi-solid gets heated in this thing. It is the perfect size for leftovers and being quite small it heats up quick for cast iron. It keeps your syrup warm on the table until your last pancake and you can pour it from the pot without a mess. It cleans easy, nothing sticks to it and doesn't take up space. This is a must have for any collector of fine cast iron cookware or anyone that cooks for that matter.

I have been using a lodge logic skillet and 5 quart pot and love them. However, I live by myself and eggs are my main source of protein. I love soft-poached eggs and it was bothering me every morning and night when I boiled two inches of water in the 5 quart pot because it was so wasteful of water, natural gas, and vegetable oil. So I took a chance and ordered this to poach my eggs.

I am not disappointed. It only takes a few minutes for the water to boil and a minute later I am eating, as opposed to the length of time it took before, about four times the time to boiling. Not only that, but after the eggs come out I drop in a broth cube and have some "egg drop" soup before I eat my eggs. I plan on using it to make a single serving eggnog (I drink the good kind that risks salmonella but it's worth it completely different from the carton in the dairy section!)

I do have to say that the bottom is not wide enough to intercept direct flame from a regular gas burner no doubt if it was the time to boiling would be cut even further. But I am still saving 3/4 of the gas and water, which is no longer dumped down the drain since it is the right amount for a cup of broth.

I think I also like the flexibility of cast iron. If I suddenly have a whim I can put it on the grill or over a wood based campfire. My non-cast iron has been retired.

I really love this little pot. It is a perfect size for so many uses. It is very impressively made, as are all the US-made Lodge products.

I also enjoy the gentle pour spouts on each side. I'm left-handed so chances are if there was only a spout on one side it would be the wrong one.

I agree with P. Callen that it was not packed well, however. Mine was just tossed into the bottom of a much larger box with some of those air bags so it was jostling around. I was lucky that it came from the amazon warehouse that is only 30 miles from my house but I imagine if I had to travel, and be handled, more it would have been at peril. Just going from my UPS hub (the same one for the amazon warehouse) to delivery the box was already showing wear.

I own lots of Lodge items, but won't bore you with the merits of using cast iron especially since I don't think a pot of this size really demonstrates all the strengths of cast iron cookware.

I purchased this little guy for 1 main reason and I have not been disappointed. I cook a lot of Indian dishes things like dal and meat/veg curries. A common technique in Indian cooking is to heat some fat in a little pot and quickly add spices, chilies, ginger, garlic, etc. for a minute or so. Then you dump the mix into another pot which has cooked the main ingredient things like lentils, beans, etc. The technique is called "tarka" and is an easy way to add a lot of flavor to a dish. This little pot is the perfect size for this not too big, not too small.

I have since discovered another use for the pot. It is perfect for cooking one egg! You need very little water to poach and the small size keeps the egg compact. It's great for frying too since the egg doesn't stick to the properly seasoned cast iron.

The only problem I have with the pot is that the bottom diameter is a bit too small. I have a hard time keeping it stable on my gas burners. I fix that problem by placing a small cast iron trivet between the pot and the burner.

It is the CUTEST honey pot I have ever seen it's the perfect size to leave on a table or kitchen counter and it is very practical . I usually put the pot in a microwave for a minute before use( yes, it is microwavable!), and honey comes out so easily. I have Le creuset canisters and butter crock, and this honey pot sits next to them on my kitchen counter .. and it looks just so adorable. Although my canisters & butter crock are in cherry red , this honey pot has the same gradualness of the color shades ( deeper color at the bottom) and they look so good together. Very satisfied with this honey pot.

This honey pot may seem too small at first glance, it easily fits in your hand, however, it holds a LOT of honey in it and it is super cute as well! Its size makes it easy to keep on a counter without cluttering up the place and also easy to move from counter to table or wherever your cup of tea happens to be. the silicone dipper is also great, the wood handle doesn't make any scratchy noises on the pottery while the silicone lets the honey slide off without worry that you are going to have to scrub out the grooves at a later time to maintain efficiency {a problem with the old wooden ones in my opinion...but perhaps I am just being OCD}. I have decided to get one for all the honey lovers in my family! I prefer the yellow...nice and bright, but I like that it also comes in a classy white [perfect for those who don't like bright cheerful colors or whose kitchens would clash with yellow]. It also came well packaged and quickly.

This is a great little honey jar, if a bit pricey. I bought it mainly to go with my other Le Creuset kitchenware. The jar and lid are stoneware, and dishwasher safe. There is, as you'd expect, a notch in the lid for the dipper to poke through. The dipper is silicon with a wooden handle. (I can't see that the silicon makes any difference in honey dipping, but it is very cute and has the Le Creuset logo). Overall, this is exactly what I expected to receive when I placed the order.

Honest reviews on Le Creuset Honey Pots

This item lost half of a star because of its country of origin. So, that does not change the fact that the pot is cute and of good quality. But for the price and the company's reputation, it should be made in france! Otherwise, i would have given it 3.5 stars. There was some uneven glaze in a few spots. Now all I have to worry about is if it has lead or beryllium in it........

The Le Creuset Honey Pot is a hit with my wife and three teenage children! They adore this little, yellow, honey pot. My family enjoys a myriad of teas and hot water with lemon and honey. They also enjoy unrefined honey. Getting the honey out of the big jar is always a pain, but sweetly rewarded. This honey pot is the answer. The pottery is finely crafted and serves its purpose well. My daughter affectionately calls it Winnie. The "ladle" holds honey well with a slight spin and easily drips when motionless. This little honey pot has solved all my problems of the "how do I get the honey from there to here" sort. And little did I know, the Le Creuset name and quality were so on my wife's bucket list.
