very cheap material, very thin and poorly built, changed color after one use. I had a cheap pan I bought at Walmart years ago that I recycled before this came in the mail but I should have kept the old one instead.

Reviews of Prime Pacific Stainless Steel Roasting/Lasagna Pan
This pan is too light. The bottom buckles and twists. I used this to slow-cook a roast the first time and sprayed it with cooking spray first. I cooked the roast at 325 without using the rack. The roast was fine. The pan was not. I thought I would never get it clean (in fact I never really did). Grease and frond stuck to the pan like glue. Back to using foil for me.

I have had this set for about a month and have had a chance to use them enough to have an opinion. They are well balanced and perform well, especially the sauce pans and stock pot. The 8 quart stock pot is large enough for a family of 4-6. Cuisinart advertises you can use metal utensils, but when you read their recommended use card, it says metal utensil will scratch the surface. That is a misleading marketing gimmick in my opinion.
My main complaint with the Cuisinart cookware is they heat up very quickly due to the thin 3 mm thickness. The fry pans are the weakest items of the set. After side-by-side comparisons against Emeril's All-Clad Hard Anodized, I much prefer the Emeril brand. The Emeril pans are 5 mm thick and seem to cook more evenly and are not near as temper-mental as the Cuisinarts.
For not much more money, I would look at the higher quality Emeril Hard Anodized set; and sorry Amazon, the best deals for Emerilware are using one of those 20% off coupons at Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens N Things.

As always, you will never find a perfect cookware. This Cuisinart 7 piece is no exception. It is great but not perfect. Its light weight is very impresive and handle isn't that hot after long period of cooking time. Easy to clean. The non-stick surface is better than other brand. It takes very short time to heat up stuff too. However, couple weaknesses, the lit does not have a small hole to release pressure which we have to watch out for overheat spill. Plus the lit is not the same design as the pot itself, it heats up really quick. So be careful. It is not a good idea to buy plastic handle with the lit, it will deform and loose after a while. Over all, it is better than what I expected even though I have owned this set of cookware for 4 weeks.Best Deals for Cuisinart 66-7 Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 7-Piece

The coating of these pans started to come off after two years. The cuisinart customer service was good and replaced 3 of these pans already. However, the coating in one of the new ones is starting to come off again. The Cuisinart pots were given to my granddaughter down in Oregon so I don't have a clue what they are like??? Our son-in-law likes to cook and it was from him that we got the recommendation for hard-anodized pots. DorisDoris Melberg

for those of you with glass or ceramic stove tops: this pan does not stay flat! It is fine when cold, but once heated (even to medium), it starts warping. Still fries fine, but the heat will not be distributed as evenly as one would wish...
Otherwise nice looking pan and seems like a nice non-stick surface.
The only thing so far that surprised me is how HOT the handles get. This is only true of oven use, but bear in mind the handles STAY HOT long after the pan itself has cooled and you need to handle them with a pot holder, or two as was the case for me. I also am not attempting to clean the pan until it has fully cooled off so ensure no warping or buckling of the metal or premature flaking of the non stick surface. Speaking of cleaning, what used to take me 5 minutes of heavy scrubbing or much longer with other pans, is now a non issue! This beauty cleans in less than one minute and looks brand new afterwards.
So is this worth the asking price (currently 50 dollars) ? You bet it is! I consider it a bargain and if this skillet lasts more than a few years then I will have got my money's worth many times over. HIGHLY recommended!
REVIEW UPDATE 11-21-2010: After using this pan for more than a month I am still 100% satisfied! I have cooked whole roast chickens to perfection in this with enough room to use the lid. The non stick coating remains perfectly intact with no damage to the finish from heavy oven use and cleans up with just soap and water and a soft dish cloth. A truly fine piece of kitchen equipment.....
ANOTHER UPDATE 8-3-2011: One last progress report. This pan has held up beyond my expectations to constant and sometimes extreme use. It has been in the oven repeatedly for hours on end, cooking chops, potatoes, full chickens and even a turkey. The non stick surface has not worn off one little bit. It still comes perfectly clean each time with little to no effort and looks 99% new except for a very slight baked on grease discoloration on the handle. No warping of any kind and the handle grip looks and feels the same as the day we purchased it. Honestly, this really is a great piece of cookware and I am planning to add more Calphalon pots and pans to my kitchen.
The only con I have is that the smaller handle still gets a little hot and the rubber grip on that handle seems like it might come off one day if not careful. Other than that, we use this pot very frequently (several times a week) and enjoy it very much. If using this pot, I highly recommend cooking with bamboo or wood utensils so you won't scratch up the non-stick coating. I would recommend this pot to others and would buy again.
Normally, the problem with most fry pans is that they are not deep enough for cooking chinese food. When you stir, the food comes out. On the other hand, the pans that 'tall' enough for real chinese cooking are normally have a very large and flat bottom. That's not good because the sauce does not contact the material well (in most chinese dishes, you start with just a little sauce by mixing vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, salt etc. it's not that much to cover those gigantic flat bottoms). Don't get me wrong. This has flat bottom too. But it's not that large. It also has a decent thickness for heat conduction.
Overall, this is the best choice I can find under one benjamin. Certainly gas range with *round* bottom fryer/pan is the best for chinese cooking. however, since not everyone here has gas range (i have never seen a non-gas range in China), we have to settle for this, don't we?

I never thought I would be writing a review for a frying pan, but this pan has inspired me to do so. We needed something in our kitchen that could be at home on the stove or in the oven and clean easily. This pan fits the bill and then some. I have been using it now for about 3 weeks and so far it has perfectly cooked anything I have put in it. Pork Chops? NO problem and NO sticking. Turkey Legs? Tender, juicy and again, NO STICKING at all. I have not had to use ANY oil or grease to aide in browning. The lid fits like a glove and let's you see the food on the other side. This pan is deep enough to trap all the meats natural juices and using the cover you can get a good self basting action out of it as well. The only thing so far that surprised me is how HOT the handles get. This is only true of oven use, but bear in mind the handles STAY HOT long after the pan itself has cooled and you need to handle them with a pot holder, or two as was the case for me. This is the pan that you can cook anything in. Great for cooking stir fry or pan fry dumplings. The non-stick coating is excellent. Easy to wash and clean. Well-made hinges. Good quality pot. Love that it comes with lid. The pot is not as heavy as I thought, which makes it easier to wash in the sink. The only con I have is that the smaller handle still gets a little hot and the rubber grip on that handle seems like it might come off one day if not careful. Honest reviews on Simply Calphalon Nonstick 12" Jumbo Fryer
I'm actually doing research to replace this pan,and was surprised to see it got such high reviews. I've had it for three years and as all the other reviewers said, it is awesome for function and nonstick-ness in the beginning. I love it and use it at least once every other day. However I feel it didn't last very long at all for the last 6 months it has been performing poorly and is no longer nonstick. Not peeling, just the layer of coating is very thin, discolored and sticks horribly. I never put it in the dishwasher, don't use abrasive pads/cleaners, never use anything but plastic/wood/silicone utensils but the coating just didn't last. I don't see anything else out there that seems to perform better so I may just buy this pan again and consider it is the price to pay for 2 years worth of use. Just wanted to add this review as someone who's had it for a while. It is the exact same "Simply Calphalon" but I bought it from Bed Bath and Beyond.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Simply Calphalon Nonstick 12" Jumbo Fryer

This was one of the Gold Box REAL Deals that looked so good and was the "Right Price" so I snatched it up. My son and his wife need a good cookware set in place of their yard sale bit and piece set they had settled for. I was planning to surprise them with this new shiny set for Christmas ( as well as other stuff, too). My order came so fast I did not have time to remember on what day I had ordered it. I was expecting a good heavy Stainless steel set, a set that would not warp on the bottom, I just hate those cheap pots and pans that spin or wobble on the eye of the stove. Guess what, I received exactly what I ordered in a very light weight box, I mean I have an iron skillet that weighs more than this whole set including the box and all the packaging. Guess the price was too good to be true.
SAVE your money, go to WalMart pick up a set there cheaper than what I paid here, better yet do like the kids did and pick up really good pieces at yard, estate or Divorce sales. They might not match, but they will cook much better and evenly than this imported set of imitation cookware. Besides who really cares if one pot is red or stainless as long as the tops fit!!
The lids are heavy tempered glass. Stainless does not mean non-stick. I use Pam to fry and it passed the fried egg test, no sticking LOL. The set is from China, so what else is new. Even famous Brands are manufacturing in China. It is in fact a good looking, working copy of High end Stainless cookware. Stainless requires a little more scrubbing on the outside after a while. I use the metal scrubbers available in stores, but cleanup is easy. If you watch TV chef programs you'll see Professional Chefs using Stainless pans with gloves or towels, when the handles are hot. (Emeril), yet I have cooked with this set and the handles are warm but have not gotten burning hot. My last set of Stainless lasted me for years and I even passed it on to a friend.

I've read the reviews on this set by other buyers who stomped on this set as being cheap and awful, yet most kept it. I've spent over thirty dollars for one stainless steel saucepan, so what quality should I expect for a set??? Well first of all, the measurements are posted correctly. It is a small set. It is medium weight Stainless steel with encapsulated bottoms. It is meant for low to medium cooking. Although it could easily take high heat, even the high priced Pieces will eventually darken a bit with high temperatures or even warp. My (real) T-Fal began to darken and became unusable in less than a year. The lids are heavy tempered glass. Stainless does not mean non-stick. I guess I shouldn't have expected more from a cookware product that only costs $29.99. I'm not sure what I was thinking. I opened the box and immediately placed them back in and sent them back the next day. The truth is you can get this type of cookware at a Family Dollar for 1/2 the price because that's about all that it is worth.Monday, September 1, 2014

These are so cute! A little smaller than i expected but a great size! Kiddos love it when i make them the bear shaped rice! :) Thanks! These were much smaller than I expected them to be. I can eat about 5 or 6 of them for lunch. Other than that they are wonderful! I love putting them in my lunch. The bear doubles as a frog if you put the pupils of his eyes on the bears ear.

After reading some of the other reviews and of course watching the infomercials I was epxecting miracles. I didn't get them.
To be frank I've only used one of these pans once but the results merited this review.
I don't expect the preformance to improve with time.
I did season the pans according to the directions and used the larger one to make a large omlet. I expected the omlet to simply slide out of the pan. It did not and required a bit of encouragement. I was a little surprised at the "residue" that stayed behind in the pan.
The pan was placed off to the side away from a heat source.
After we finished the meal (omlet was fine but no different than any other) I immediately went to the pan fully expecting to wipe it out with a paper towel. That didn't happen either.
I ended up having to soak the pan for a few minutes and then scrub it out with an all putpose non-scratch type scrubber sponge. A few places required a tiny bit of work.
I guess the pans are OK but in no way did this one live up to the hype.
I consider it to be middle of the road non-stick cookware at best. I've used many other non-stick pans that I liked better.
Honestly I regret the purchase and wish I'd stayed with stainless or cast iron.
And incidentally although Stoneline calls this is a "German product" on their website, I find this deliberately misleading.
The pans are made in China.
I'm not a culinary professional but a good home cook. Pan was used on a high-end gas range.
Saw the ads for the Stonedine and balked at buying a whole $300 set.
One review I read stated that the Stonedine and Stoneline pans are made by the same manufacturer. So I gave the Stoneline pans a try. Stoneline WX-9176 2-Piece Fry Pan Set
It took a looong time for them to arrive, but I have to say they under-promised and over-delivered as the items arrived well before the original estimated ship date.
Received my pans in excellent condition and could not wait to give them a go. So after washing and seasoning according to directions, I made a two egg cheese omelette in the small pan with absolutely no oil in the pan.
Once the eggs set up a bit, I was able to flip the omelette with a flick of the wrist. I purposely let the cheese weep out of the omelette a bit and then let it brown. The whole shebang slid out of the pan and onto the plate with ease. It was easily the best I've ever made, and I've made tens of thousands of them.
Oh, and once done with my snack and the pan had cooled a bit, I cleaned it with a soapy PAPER TOWEL, not that it even needed that.
I am thoroughly impressed and can't wait to make pancakes in it.
Although, obviously, I can't speak as to the durability of the coating, it seems pretty robust and time will tell. If one doesn't have to pry food off the bottom of the pan to turn it or use a scouring pad to clean it, it seems to follow that the surface should last indefinitely. Best fry pan I've ever used.
That being said, I can't imagine why one would need the stock pot or some of the other offerings with this coating. The fry pans, however, are a home run.
2. I assumed that the pan was made in Europe but the label on the box said China. Amazon
should indicate if a product is made in China. I do not want things from China.
3. I,ve used the large pan a lot and after about 6 months, I noticed small bumps on the
frying surface like air bubbles. I,ve always rinsed the pan in hot water and scrubbed
it down with a soft sponge. The bumps have increased in number after each use and I
have rubbed the pan down with oil and paper towel and bits of coating have been coming
off on the paper towel. The pan in the area where the bumps were is now turning into
a big white splotch.
4. I am still using the pan although I am not sure if it is safe to do so. The pan did
perform well for 6 months or so but I will be looking for a new pan soon.
5. For the price I paid, I do not recommend this pan to others.

I bought my stoneline pans a year and a half ago. The larger one is used more often and has many scratches. I have only used plastic or silicon utensils and always washed with a sponge or rag. There are bubbles which I can only imagine come from the medium-high temperatures. I read another review just now that also had the bubbles on her large pan. Lastly, once I made a dish with either paprika or red tomato sauce the pan never came totally clean again. It is discolored much like plastic that goes through the dishwasher after spaghetti night. My smaller one looks great, but in a family our size we rarely use the tiny pan. I wouldn't be so annoyed except that they cost so much most and promise so much.Honest reviews on Stoneline WX-9176 2-Piece Fry Pan Set

Cheap Calphalon Unison Nonstick 8-Inch and 10-Inch Omelette Pan Set

Nearly 10 months ago I purchased this item at the same time as another product, Cuisinart FCT22-20NS French Classic Tri-Ply Stainless 8-Inch Nonstick Skillet, specifically to compare them and guide my future purchases. After extensive daily usage of both products I can share my perspective and hope it helps others. I will be comparing only the 8 inch Calphalon pan to the 8 inch Cuisinart.
The Cuisinart product is a classic pro-style pan that seemed perfect for what I was after. That said, I was drawn to the Calphalon product by the attractive pricing and decent product reviews I found here on Amazon and elsewhere on the web. I am an avid appreciator of omelettes and there is no better task to test the sticky-factor of a pan than with omelettes especially as I am a flipper, not a folder.
I found both the Cuisinart and Calphalon pans to have good feel to them. The handle design and the weight of the pans is slightly different. The Cuisinart handle arcs higher which I preferred a bit more. The slope of the sides of the pan on the Calphalon is steeper leaving a larger cooking surface area on the bottom. For an omelette flipper the Cuisinart's less dramatic slope made it easier. That said, after a couple weeks of use I could achieve the same results with either.
Both pans perform well as a non-stick surface product. Very little effort to keep things from sticking and it required little to no butter or oil to get that result from both. These surfaces on both pans seemed to perform better once "broken in" even though that's not generally a characteristic of this material.
Now for durability. I invest way too much in cooking gear to use sharp tools on them. So I stick with just plastic tipped tongs or a silicone spatulas. Period. Regardless of my efforts, both pans are showing signs of scratches on the cooking surface a very disappointing finding. The Cuisinart looks to have held off scratches much better than the Calphalon. I expect that to start affecting the non-stick capabilities in a couple years as the scratches worsen. Both items are labeled as dishwasher safe and I did take advantage of that and it worked out well. The external surface of the Calphalon is easier to care for than the stainless surface on the Cuisinart.
So, it would seem that for half the price the Calphalon performed very well against the Cuisinart. The longevity of the Cuisinart will likely be the differenciator in the long run. But since I received two pans for pretty close to the same price in the Calphalon offering it really does win my vote in the end.
I was walking past a kitchen ware store in northern Florida, when they were offering this set at a greatly reduced price. We went in and for some strange reason, price probably, as well as the finish of the non-stick which seemed really nice, we bought the set. We were in the mood for nonstick, and our non stick All Clad omelet pan had died what I thought was an untimely death for a pan that was over $100. So we thought, what the heck. At this price, if it dies in a year, oh well. Now you can color me converted. We use this 10" on our boat (no dishwasher) and another in our condo (we don't put it in the dishwasher but maybe 1/4 of the time). We've had them for over a year now, and I can tell you that not a day (that we use it) goes by that my wife and I don't remark to one another, 'this is my favorite pan'. Even heat. Food slides around effortlessly, and a joy to clean with a simple sponge and dish soap. NO signs of wear on the non stick. I have to confess that we treat this pan with respect. We use high temp rubber spatulas, bamboo, and (carefully) metal tongs. Mostly washed by hand (why not, the difference between rinsing and washing this pan is so slight). You're already washing your good knives by hand, right??
The second set I received also had the scratches as the first (one again, more scratching on the 10" than the 8"). The 8" pan this time had discolorations in the finish, which are likely caused by poor application of the finish at the factory.
Overall, I'm not impressed, and certainly not for pans that are "list priced" for 200 dollars. In my opinion, Calphalon should package these better in the first place. 1/3 of the pan isn't protected by the packaging at all. Not good when you're dealing with non sticks, where once the finish is damaged, you really shouldn't continue their use.
I'm sorry for my mistake, and if I mislead anyone. I'm delighted with the pans!

I bought the set direct from Calphalon before it appeared elsewhere. The finish is wonderful, the food actually does slide from the pans. My warranty says they can be washed in the dishwasher. I like the weight, they seem to be more like the old made-in-USA Calphalon bought years ago and passed on to family as I have cut back in cooking. I needed good omelet pans (you'd be surprised how many eggs seniors eat (smile)) and these more than satisfied me. A cover I already own fits one pan and I have ordered a cover from Calphalon for the other pan. That's because I tend to use these pans for almost everything I cook, stir fries, sautees, sauces, meats, veggies, I just made BubbleNSqueak in the large pan yesterday and needed the cover for that dish to tenderize the cabbage. I recommend this set without hesitation. I am sorry I wasn't able to buy it from Amazon, I am a died in the wool customer of Amazon. I will buy more in the Unison line and it will be from Amazon.Best Deals for Calphalon Unison Nonstick 8-Inch and 10-Inch Omelette Pan Set
Let me start out by saying I hate Calphalon. I've hated it from the get go, as I have issues with the whole concept of cooking on aluminum. I have been an All Clad fan for years (except that I can't say much for their black LTD finish which died). Color me stainless with a copper sandwich.I was walking past a kitchen ware store in northern Florida, when they were offering this set at a greatly reduced price. Honest reviews on Calphalon Unison Nonstick 8-Inch and 10-Inch Omelette Pan Set
I don't know if these pans were damaged or if they were just poorly finished, but I returned the original and the second set that were sent to me for the same reason. The first set had numerous scratches or dents on the edge of the pan along where the non stick surface finishes onto the anodized back. The 10" pan had the most. The 8" pan had that and a large dent smack in the middle of the cooking surface. The finish looked fine where the dent was, which leads me to believe it may have been like this out of the factory. The second set I received also had the scratches as the first (one again, more scratching on the 10" than the 8"). The 8" pan this time had discolorations in the finish, which are likely caused by poor application of the finish at the factory.

I bought a Pedrini frying pan, and after just 3 weeks the non-stick coating on the inside of the pan started to peel off. This while only using a wooden spoon with it. Cheap China crap. Don't buy. "Made In China" label conveniently hidden under a tag on the bottom of the pan that can't be seen unless you rip it off.
I ordered this because it's only me, so now I don't have to get out the large frying pan to cook 1 egg, and clean up is a snap.
Could not beat the price. This little pan is just right for 1-2 eggs, a hamburger, pancake, grilled cheese etc.

Used for over a year. Excellent pan for 1-3 eggs. Just a little butter before cooking and cooks quickly and evenly and superb non-stick and very easy to clean. Only drawback is that the colored under-surface became discolored quite quickly and bottom of pan looks terrible.Tuesday, June 24, 2014

I don't care where this is made, so long as it's a quality product and it is! Unlike all the glass/metal units, it retains heat, thus making a really fantastic cup of joe. The screen makes a tight seal and last night was the first time I understood the admonition to press down slowly on the press. My previous French Press had no resistance and the filter would just slide down. Furthermore, the holes in the screen were large and grounds always escaped up the side. I also purchased a Sears Burr Coffee Grinder, that has a separate review, so we are fresh grinding our whole beans. My husband was amazed at how rich, smooth, and not bitter the coffee was. Making French Press coffee is more labor intensive then other types of brew but it is so worth it. I'm so glad I got this for Christmas. Thanks Mom!
Earlier this week, I woke up to make my coffee and sadly found my beloved french press sitting in the sink in pieces (it had been on the counter when I went to bed). I'm guessing that wind from the nearby open window knocked it over, but I will, unfortunately never know.
Disgruntled and upset and *way* undercaffeinated, I came to Amazon and was delighted to see this french press. I've been considering Le Creuset products anyway, and have plans to replace my pots and pans over time. I am soon to no longer be the only coffee drinker in the house so the size was especially appealing.
I love the feel of stability and solidness it has. Wind won't be blowing this over any time soon. I love the rich color (color is good!), and it's nice to have coffee sitting in something that isn't going to get cold all that quickly.
I still have to figure out the right ratios of coffee to water to make *my* perfect brew, but I know that will come. In the meantime, even my slightly diluted cup yesterday tasted delicious.

My quest for good coffee took a step forward when I got this beautiful press. I like the heat retaining quality of heavy ceramic vs. a glass beaker press. Grounds do not find their way into my cup because the tolerance of the press is surprisingly close. Looks great on my counter. Cleans easily. One note of caution: 27 ounces MEANS 27 ounces! The press volume is actually greater than 27 ounces (more like 35-40), but due to the design of the spout, if you add more than the stated volume of 27 ounces of water, grounds will either leak by the press screen or spurt onto your counter. If, however, you do not overfill, and press evenly, this press works perfectly. I wish it were a bit bigger, but I do not think I will ever go back to a glass beaker (Grosche or Bodum) after experiencing the benefits of this well-built ceramic press. I pre-measure my water (27 ounces), use a Breville Smartgrinder set on course grind, raise water temp to 195-200 degrees and take the guesswork out of making my brew taste the way my wife and I enjoy our coffee.Best Deals for Le Creuset Stoneware 27oz. I learned of the awesomeness that is french press brewed coffee a while ago (10 months or so?), and purchased a (relatively cheap) french press. It was glass, and it serviced me well until one morning when I went to use it, and found a hairline fracture curving around the bottom of the carafe. I was upset and ordered a new one. This one was also glass, but it was a style I had been eyeing for a while...and...I didn't need a "big" french press as I was the only one drinking coffee. As another reviewer mentioned, this does not have a copper bottom, but on a gas stove it works well in spite of its relatively light weight. Be sure to use low to medium heat. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the cooking surface is 10 x 10, not 11 x 11 inches as advertized. But its performance gets 5 stars.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Anolon Nouvelle Hard Anodized Nonstick 11" Square Griddle

I'm replacing all my cookware with Lodge Logic. This little pot seemed like a luxury item, since I expected to use it to melt chocolate and butter or scald milk. But I cook and bake a lot so decided to treat myself to a specialty item.
It was delivered a few minutes ago, and I can immediately see a lot of uses for it, including: reheating gravy, heating a single serving of vegetables or other side dish, warming a 14 oz. serving of soup. And of course, melting chocolate and butter.
It has a pleasing shape, and the handle is a good length. Spouts on either side will make pouring easy and neat. Another winner, Lodge!
I am not disappointed. It only takes a few minutes for the water to boil and a minute later I am eating, as opposed to the length of time it took before, about four times the time to boiling. Not only that, but after the eggs come out I drop in a broth cube and have some "egg drop" soup before I eat my eggs. I plan on using it to make a single serving eggnog (I drink the good kind that risks salmonella but it's worth it completely different from the carton in the dairy section!)
I do have to say that the bottom is not wide enough to intercept direct flame from a regular gas burner no doubt if it was the time to boiling would be cut even further. But I am still saving 3/4 of the gas and water, which is no longer dumped down the drain since it is the right amount for a cup of broth.
I think I also like the flexibility of cast iron. If I suddenly have a whim I can put it on the grill or over a wood based campfire. My non-cast iron has been retired.
I also enjoy the gentle pour spouts on each side. I'm left-handed so chances are if there was only a spout on one side it would be the wrong one.
I agree with P. Callen that it was not packed well, however. Mine was just tossed into the bottom of a much larger box with some of those air bags so it was jostling around. I was lucky that it came from the amazon warehouse that is only 30 miles from my house but I imagine if I had to travel, and be handled, more it would have been at peril. Just going from my UPS hub (the same one for the amazon warehouse) to delivery the box was already showing wear.
I purchased this little guy for 1 main reason and I have not been disappointed. I cook a lot of Indian dishes things like dal and meat/veg curries. A common technique in Indian cooking is to heat some fat in a little pot and quickly add spices, chilies, ginger, garlic, etc. for a minute or so. Then you dump the mix into another pot which has cooked the main ingredient things like lentils, beans, etc. The technique is called "tarka" and is an easy way to add a lot of flavor to a dish. This little pot is the perfect size for this not too big, not too small.
I have since discovered another use for the pot. It is perfect for cooking one egg! You need very little water to poach and the small size keeps the egg compact. It's great for frying too since the egg doesn't stick to the properly seasoned cast iron.
The only problem I have with the pot is that the bottom diameter is a bit too small. I have a hard time keeping it stable on my gas burners. I fix that problem by placing a small cast iron trivet between the pot and the burner.

I bought this thinking it would get used once in a while to melt some butter or heat up some syrup. I find that it is the most used cast iron tool in my arsenal. It has almost eliminated the use of my microwave which is a good thing. Left over soups, chili, and just about anything else that is liquid or semi-solid gets heated in this thing. It is the perfect size for leftovers and being quite small it heats up quick for cast iron. It keeps your syrup warm on the table until your last pancake and you can pour it from the pot without a mess. It cleans easy, nothing sticks to it and doesn't take up space. This is a must have for any collector of fine cast iron cookware or anyone that cooks for that matter.Best Deals for Lodge Mfg LMP3 PT Cast Iron Melting Pot
I have been using a lodge logic skillet and 5 quart pot and love them. However, I live by myself and eggs are my main source of protein. I love soft-poached eggs and it was bothering me every morning and night when I boiled two inches of water in the 5 quart pot because it was so wasteful of water, natural gas, and vegetable oil. So I took a chance and ordered this to poach my eggs.I am not disappointed. It only takes a few minutes for the water to boil and a minute later I am eating, as opposed to the length of time it took before, about four times the time to boiling. I usually use high quality pots and pans, some of which are very expensive. However, I bought this little guy because there are times that all I need is something this size. I got it mostly for one-egg omelettes but I can also see using it for a quick sauce or to warm up a small side dish.
The quality is about what I expected for the price and as little as I'll probably use it I'm sure that it will last for quite a while. I would rate it 4.5 stars but since we don't have half stars on Amazon I will give it 4. I hope that you enjoy my quick little video.
Works very well...to make MY Egg M?Muffins. I wish it had a lid..but it does not and so I use a small plate to cover.
T-Fal...are you listening....how about a simple cover...with a simple handle... thanks :) This would give it 5 stars.

Love this little T-Fal baby! I make bagel or bun sized eggs without folding endlessly to make the ingredients fit on the bun. Perfect for a side of sautéed mushrooms, onions or anything you want to do on a small scale. It fits a perfect serving size for one person (or two eating light). I pushed the envelope and put two large eggs in it and it performed OK, however cooks better with one egg if you're putting extras in the pan with it. One swipe of a paper towel and it's ready for the next mini cooking task. This little thing has made my life so much easier because I'm not a confessed hand pan washer except for the ones I HAVE TO this one I do because it's so easy. No more big pans sitting in the sink and no more lazy lunches! I work at home and can fry up tofu for a salad, eggs for my hubby, onions for burgers, garlic for sauces . . . sometimes we just don't need a big pan to do those big flavor items! I'm ordering three more for gifts after using mine every day for a month. Love the non-stick too.Best Deals for T-fal Specialty Nonstick One Egg Wonder Pan
I like this one egg wonder pan very much. It's easy to clean and perfect for just the one egg. However, be aware that it measures 4/34 inches across the TOP and so the bottom is even smaller. I blieve the ad could have been a little more clearer about whether the measurement was across the top or the bottom, as many pans are measured across the bottom. Therefore, I was slightly disappointed, but just slightly. All in all, I like it.Honest reviews on T-fal Specialty Nonstick One Egg Wonder Pan
This was not a need but a want. I am a gadget freak and I also like good quality kitchen appliances.Works very well...to make MY Egg M?Muffins. I wish it had a lid..but it does not and so I use a small plate to cover.
T-Fal...are you listening....how about a simple cover...with a simple handle... thanks :) This would give it 5 stars.

This little gem is perfect for the one egg you want for a quick sandwich or light breakfast. It heats evenly and quickly, and best if you use a medium-heat setting on your stove. It will clean up faster using only cooking spray instead of butter or oil. Bon Apetit!
