Poor product Poor customer service Would not buy again for half the price

Warning: First time reviewer here, but I use the reviews of products exclusively on whether or not to purchase products on amazon.com. I do not want any other users to go through the same poor customer service I did only to gain nothing.

I have purchased a set of Berghoff Scala Ceramic coated frying pans. I used the main 12" pan for about a month. As time progresses the pan started to stick. I contacted the customer service dept. that told me to deep clean the pan with baking soda and water. After it was dry add oil to the pan while slowly reheating it. I did this several times to cure my pan as suggested by the customer service rep. He assured me that it would take some time for this to work. This took place over 4 months after purchasing the set. I then got preoccupied when moving into my renovated kitchen. After dealing with my renovation I found the pan again. It was now 12 months since purchase. I had a new representative that made it sound like the guy I was speaking to previously did a poor job and was let go, which he was very rude. She stated they needed to find my files and reopen the review of my pan. She advised me to send the pan in so the warranty dept. could look at the pan. I had to pay shipping both ways but I figured they would at least get my pan back into good condition. Berghoff never called or emailed that they had my pan even though I sent a letter with the pan. After waiting a month I decided to email and see if they received the pan. The last customer service rep I had was now gone and I had a new one again. She had to find the pan again and pull up the files. After a reply from the newest customer service rep she stated that my pan was not covered under warranty. WHAT?

She explained that due to the color of the bottom of the pan I had overheated the pan and that the warranty was now void. I the dirt she cleaned on the bottom of my pan was on all our pans we had. We have a glass top range that we cool all our meals on. It does get dirty at times. I simply took a nylon scrubber to clean one of the other pans I had just to see how hard it was. I emailed back stating that her suggestion was not the case and that I wanted to speak to a supervisor. Three weeks later still no response. I called and was directed to the same person I was dealing with my emails. She said she brought the pan to her supervisor and stated that she agreed while refusing to allow me to speak to her supervisor.

The facts: Not once did I ever cook with the pan over ½ heat on my range top. I primarily cooked eggs, sausage, warmed up veggies, and cooked some fish. Mind you that I only used the pan 1 month. I hand washed it after every use. At first everything would slide out of the pan. The pan got to the point where I had to scrape it each time after use and then let it sit in soap water. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN AFTER 1 MONTH OF USE!

Due to the numerous customer service representatives, poor service, and average pans I would never recommend anyone buy from this company. They did offer me a deal though, 50% off their retail of a new pan. That was almost the same price I could buy it off of amazon.com.

Pros: nontoxic ceramic coating for healthy cooking. A true non-stick surface: the food does not burn, but cooks rather evenly. Cleaning also is a breeze, no scrubbing required!

Cons: Not dishwasher safe! However as I mentioned before the food does not stick to the surfaces and comes off easily .

Excellent quality for the money, I highly recommend it!

I enthusiastically bought this set of BergHOFF EarthChef pans that did not use the usual non-stick chemicals.

After three or four uses, the pans were no longer non-stick. I called BergHOFF and went through

reconditioning the pans, sending in photos, etc. to find that the company does not back its product

and would not honor the one year guarantee good luck frying with these pans if you cannot turn the

flame beyond simmer. I love the idea of a healthy non-stick pan, but this is not it.

Honest reviews on BergHOFF Earthchef Acadian 10-Piece Cookware Set

We have had these over a year and the saucepans are still nearly flawless. Nice knowing we are getting no chemicals in our food. Unfortunately our daughter used cooking spray on the skillet and it was worthless after that. We have other ceramic skillets that are so so due to staining. Highly recommend ceramic saucepans.

I'm very happy with the quality of these, I can't comment on durability as I just got them but I'll be sure to update the review if anything changes. Everything looks very solid and the design (lid and handles) are VERY similar to all clad and high quality.

Reviews of Prime Pacific Stainless Steel Roasting/Lasagna Pan

Prime Pacific Stainless Steel Roasting/Lasagna Pan

This pan is too light. The bottom buckles and twists. I used this to slow-cook a roast the first time and sprayed it with cooking spray first. I cooked the roast at 325 without using the rack. The roast was fine. The pan was not. I thought I would never get it clean (in fact I never really did). Grease and frond stuck to the pan like glue. Back to using foil for me.

very cheap material, very thin and poorly built, changed color after one use. I had a cheap pan I bought at Walmart years ago that I recycled before this came in the mail but I should have kept the old one instead.

A good sized pan for roasting with a rack included. Made well and should give many years of good service.

Honest reviews on Prime Pacific Stainless Steel Roasting/Lasagna Pan

I bought this for baking bacon. Less fat, less mess. The metal could be a little thicker. Although it is not too thin, and I am sure this will last for several years.

The pan itself was well made and of good quality in relation to the price. However, thewire rack inside is flimsy and lightweight. The legs on the wire rack are too short and do not hold the meat high enough off the bottom. The wire rack tends buckle a bit it you are cooking a heavier piece of meat. This causes the meat to cook in its own fat as opposed to having the fat drain off.

I have had one from thermos brand so was hesitating to buy this one. It perfectly works well. My tea stays hot for upto 9 hours. Haven't used beyond that time so maybe it works for 12 hours as the label says. Pouring is very easy and safe as it doesn't let spill.

Update: 05/24/2012

After using it for almost an year, it started acting weird. When I would wash it after using it for tea, dirty water would keep coming no matter how much I would rinse it. It was driving me nuts. Eventually I discovered that the content was leaking into the vaccum space. I realized there was corrosion in the bottom which I had been thinking was dried stains. Thats why the trapped left over tea would leak back to contaminate the rinsing water through the corrosive holes. Obviously its of no use anymore. Very disappointed.

For the first month or two we used it, and it was fine if we didn't need the water to stay warm long. Keep in mind it is not a thermos.

However, when we realized the inside had filled with corrosion we returned it and Amazon as always handled the return professionally. So if you want chemically enhanced lukewarm food or drink, this barely 'vacuum insulated bottle' that isn't a thermos is for you!

I've been using this thermos for a couple months every weekday for cold drinks. Works great for my purpose. Normally I use the contents anywhere from 3 to 6 hours and my drinks are always still icy.

Honest reviews on Trudeau Mirror 17-Ounce Vacuum Insulated Bottle

It works and just what I was looking for. I had one before this order that I purchased at a street fair. But it must of taken a beating in my bag so I got rid of it and purchased another. I believe this one is better, attractive too. It actually keeps my tea hot for many hours. I purchased 2, so that I can give one as a gift. Now I just need to get off of Amazon and find a friend to give it to.

For a little over $10, when I bought it in June 2011, not bad value for what you get. It just recently developed a leak which I can only determine is due to the rubber gasket having gone past its useful life. Too bad you cannot just get a replacement gasket, because it does do a good job of keeping my coffee steaming hot till I'm ready for that second cup.

It was good for what I needed it for when I bought it, but I think I'll try a different model/manufacture this go around to see if I can't get a little more life out of the next one.

As stated in a previous review, this rack has to be mounted directly into the wall studs. Unfortunately, the limited space in my small kitchen and the location that I wanted to mount the shelf did not allow for mounting the shelf directly into wall studs. The solution.....I attached a 24" X 36" piece of 3/4" birch plywood into the studs using eight 3" drywall screws (it's a good idea to countersink the screws into the plywood). To the plywood, I laminated a 24" X 36" stainless steel backsplash (available at Lowes or Home Depot for about 30 bucks) with liquid nails and four screws (holes are pre-drilled on each corner). I could then mount the bookshelf rack into the plywood/stainless steel backsplash without having to worry about mounting the unit into studs. You can also add some trim around the edges of the plywood/stainless to hide the plywood edges. My Cuisinart Mult-Clad Pro cookware looks great displayed from this rack. The mount is rock solid.

If this solution exceeds your carpentry skills, I would recommend hiring a handyman to complete the job. It should take no more than one hour to complete the mounting. I would also recommend going to the hardware store and purchasing four American-made lag bolts and four stainless steel wood screws (the bolts provided with the shelf are metric and cheaply made). My total investment in the project (not including the shelf) was $39.50 and well worth the additional expense. I would love to include pictures with this review but I keep getting a message that Amazon is experiencing technical difficulties uploading pictures. I will however, keep trying and update this review with pictures. In closing, I would even use this method for mounting if I didn't have issues with the location of the studs. The plywood/backsplash protects the wall from cookware dings and looks great!

UPDATE: Finally got a couple of pictures to upload. My my next Amazon purchase will probably be a good digital camera!

Looks very nice with a brushed stainless finish and compliments stainless steel appliances perfectly. Quite heavy. Keep in mind that to mount this unit safely on sheet rock walls that you must screw it into the wall studs. The unit has two mounting holes drilled at 32 inches, which is correct if your builder has spaced the studs properly on 16 inch centers, [ good luck on this if you live in the Atlanta area as we do].

The wood screws supplied with this unit are of the cheap import variety and snap easily when torqued down. One of them broke off in the wall , forcing us to drill it out of the wall and replace it with an oversized screw. Save yourself the headache and buy four U.S. made screws and toss the others away before you begin.

Lastly, the hook hangers that come with this unit are all of equal length and hang at a bit of an angle. I didn't think that made for the most efficient use of the space available and I got my husband to shorten and bend a couple of them in order to hang pans at varying heights. The hooks are made of heavy gauge stainless steel and are VERY tough to cut and bend. If you wish to do this you'll need a good vice and a strong arm.

Very happy. Comes with 12 hooks, so there is not need to get additional pit hangers. Fairly easy to install, and the bolts that came with it worked fine. You will need a drill, a level, and a stud finder to install. No issues so far after three months and multiple compliments from friends!

Honest reviews on Cuisinart Chef's Classic 36-Inch Rectangular Bookshelf Rack

I mostly followed fyurguy's instructions but I have a few tips to add as well:

Supply List:

-Cuisinart Pot Rack (as shown here)

-24x36" stainless steel backsplash Broan SP3604 Backsplash 24-Inch by 36-Inch Stainless Steel Range Hood Wall Shield

-24x36" 3/4" thick birch plywood (this part is tricky, I will explain below)

-x5 1/2" #8 Stainless Steel Screws

-Box of 3" Course Thread Drywall Screws (don't bother with the fine thread)

-Flat Black Spraypaint

-x1 squeeze tube of liquid nail

-x1 cheap paint brush (its just to spread liquid nail... I used an old paint soaked one. It doesn't matter)

-Metal Boring bits for your drill

OK to begin, the Plywood is probably the trickiest thing about this setup. Most stores won't have a prefab cut of plywood in 24x36. You can have a lot of places cut a Longer sheet down, but their tools they use to cut it are used for rough cuts and not the precision you need. If you don't have the equipment to cut sheets of plywood, have the store get it as close as possible then with a jigsaw clean up the edges. You need the backsplash (which is EXACTLY 24x36) to be flush with the Plywood

Once you have your plywood cut and ready to go, take the spray paint and paint all the edges with a few coats to make sure they are good and covered in the little crevices. I sanded down the edges of the plywood to make the suface look a bit cleaner for the end product. Let this dry for as long as you can, you don't want this rubbing off on your wall when you are taking your stud measurements.

While the pain is drying, take a studfinder and find your mounting points. Always check (in a spot that will be covered) by hammering a finishing nail into the wall if it sticks than you got yourself a stud. In a lot of buildings there are things in the wall that may interfere with the studfinder's capability to accurately represent whats behind the wall. You stud locations need to be precise, mark off on the wall both side of your studs that you find for the plywood.

Once the paint is dry, hold the board up to the wall, make sure everything is plumb, and mark where the studs are on the plywood. Draw a line all the way up and down on the board to mark off your screwing region -trust me, this helps. Now take the board down and pre-drill counter sinks into the plywood. When someone is holding that board up on the wall, you want to be able to just slam those screws in as fast as possible. It also helps to take a very fine drill bit and drill a guide hole if you have hardwood studs like I have in my old house. The counter sunk holes make sure that your screws will be flush with the plywood once they are in place.

Once you have the counter sink holes, line the backsplash up on the plywood. Find the dead center of the board and bore a small hole in the back splash. You want a fifth SS screw in the center to make sure that the backsplash stays put. After you have the center hole drilled, take your plywood to the wall and mount it in. I personally used 5 screws in each stud and 4 screws directly into the drywall (just for poops and giggles). Always double check that everything is plumb with the ground before screwing this in... once its in, its in... You can't really try this again.

Next step: cover the plywood (that is now on the wall) with liquid nail.. You want ti to be spread out and not globbing. It is more effective the more even the coating is. Take your 1/2" SS screws and screw that puppy in. Make sure everything is lined up perfectly because you will be screwing close to the edges of the Plywood. You don't want to split the wood. Drill a tiny tiny guide-hole if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Congratulations! You now have a SS backsplash weigh anchor mounted on your wall!

From here you follow the Cuisinart directions, but I will still tell you what I did, and the order I did it in:

Tightly bolt the arms of the unit onto the shelf unit so it looks like the finished product (keep the wire rack out of it though). Have someone hold the unit up to your backsplash and find the position you want it in. I put mine at the very top, but it really is just personal preference. Mark the screw holes on the unit (there are 4) with a piece of chalk or a pencil (chalk is easier to see and cleans off better). Pre-drill the holes with a metal boring bit so all 4 are ready to go.

Take the arms off of the shelf unit and set them aside. Mount the shelf part onto the wall first with the supplied SS lag bolts and washers, but attach it loosely DO NOT RATCHET THESE DOWN TOO TIGHTLY. Bolt on the supplied arms and use the supplied lag bolts to post them into your pre-drilled holes. Line everything up while you have it loose and then tighten all your bolts. Again, DO NOT over tighten the bolts, they will likely just be going into plywood and maybe a bit of stud if you have lined it up this way. tighten it too much and it will strip the hole.

Finally, slide in the SS grate and you are done! Voila!

Post comments if you have any questions!

I bought this on eBay for 89.95 + free shipping a few days ago. I'm VERY happy with this purchase, and it's probably worth what Amazon is selling for if you can't find at a lower price. This shelf/rack looks great in any kitchen and it's very sturdy. The holes are spaced for 16" studs (32" apart). If you can get them into the studs (if your space allows), your pots that are hanging as well as whatever you put on top will not faze the shelf/rack at all. I have an entire set of heavy anodized aluminum pots hanging from mine as well as the large pot and all of the lids on top and there appaears to be no strain at all. I have no concern at all that the weight limits of the rack are even being tested! It comes with 12 hooks, and you probably wouldn't have room for much more than that. It's heavy, so you will probably need two people to install. This is all to say that I highly recommend this product, buy with confidence that it looks great and very sturdy!!

The stock pot arrived on time and in good condition. I have used the stock pot twice since it was delivered. I find the pot distributes heat very evenly and is great for making large quantities which I then freeze in multiple containers. I would recommend this pot to anyone that likes to make a large quantity of items like soup for freezing for later use or for a large party.

When we built a new house a few years ago, we opted for an induction cooktop. Day to day pots had been replaced immediately, but we felt the lack of a large pot for doing "big-group" sized stews, etc. When this pot arrived last week, it was immediately put to the test when I made a triple-sized batch of green chile pork stew.

That recipe calls for browning the pork in the bottom of the pan. I was particularly pleased with the excellent heat distribution across the bottom of the pan a good match for the 11" circle on our induction cooktop.

Review of Mastrad All Silicone Spatula

Mastrad All-Silicone Spatula, Green
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

I am a great fan of this spatula. I've owned plenty of spatulas in my time, with nylon heads or silicone heads, but nothing quite like this one. Have you ever pulled the handle out of a spatula head and seen all the blackish crap that grows in there? No risk of biological overgrowth with this smoothly contoured bundle of wonderfulness. With all the benefits of silicone (heat resistance, non-stick, flexible) and none of the bio-risk, I'm sold. I've bought three already and plan to invest in more.

I have the green version which the photo show as a bright neon green. The actual color is more mute, but not quite olive (which I actually prefer see photo).

Best Deals for Mastrad All Silicone Spatula

I had gotten tired of all the spatulas I had getting gunk around the wooden handle, or the handle eventually falling out. This Orka spatula was the perfect solution! I have two and have been extremely pleased with them.

Honest reviews on Mastrad All Silicone Spatula

Haven't had it long, but love it so far. I've long hated the fact that spatulas trap gunk inside the handle slot, and there's not much you can do about it, short of dis-assembly, and gunk retrieval with a knife, which shortens the life of the spatula quite a bit, and makes them trap even more next time.

This ends all that, and it works well as a spatula, to boot! I've run it through the dishwasher several times, and it comes out well every time, with no film, as I get on some cheaper spatulas I've had. LOVE the silicon, since I can now use it for flipping eggs, and stirring soups, etc on the Teflon pans.

I've agreed with some who wished for a longer handle, right up til I put them in the dishwasher, when I was glad for the length they are, as any longer, and they won't fit in my silverware slots, or my drawer, for that matter. Also love the slim handle, as many spatulas take up too much room in the dishwasher with their fat handles. This one's perfect.

I got two, one skinny, and one standard size, and both are flexible enough to scrape, but not too flimsy to stir. Good texture, good strength, and good length for me. If they hold up over time, I'll be handing them out for Christmas gifts next year.

UPDATE: 3 months later: I still love all the things I said about it, but the one negative is the smell/taste. I'd hoped that would ease up after a while, but it really hasn't. It's not an overwhelming smell, but it is there, and it affects the taste of foods when you are trying to taste test. I don't think it's imparting anything to the actual food, but if you lick the spatula to taste your sauces, you will taste the spatula more than you want to. I've had to go back to tasting from a spoon, and just use the spatula for stirring. I also don't leave it in the food just stir, and remove. Too bad. It would be PERFECT if not for the taste/smell.

I cook and bake. A lot. Everyday, multiple times a day and this spatula is perfect. One piece, so nothing comes apart, silicone so nothing leeches into our food, soft enough so that it can get into crevices, but firm enough that it can do some heavy duty doughs. This will be my present to any baker or for any wedding shower!

This item part 50332 is the 3 piece weight set needed to convert a Presto 16 or 23 quart pressure canner from a gauged to a weighted canner. However the picture used here and the description are grossly inaccurate. This is a 3 piece weight set of 5-10-15 pound weights. 2 parts are rings (only one pictured) that slip on to the 3rd stemmed piece which sits on the steam valve. It is an excellent product for those who do alot of pressure canning. Too bad the photo and description are so misleading as they will only create confusion and cause lost sales.

I have the presto 23 qt. canner and was always busy fiddiling with the flame on the gas range to keep it on 10 psi as reccomended on a lot of recepies. as the 23 qt comes only with the 15 psi regulator. this one has 2 rings that each adds 5 psi you remove one ring and the canner will keep on the set psi. works well as you can see it on the dial of canner.

Best Deals for Presto Pressure Canner Pressure Regulator

I ordered this part to use with my 23 qt canner, and it makes canning so much easier! No more getting the pressure gauge checked every year. No more standing and staring at a dial for hours. Just pop this piece on, with the proper number of rings for the weight I want, and when it starts jiggling I start timing. For less than $20,I have made canning 100% easier.

Honest reviews on Presto Pressure Canner Pressure Regulator

I honestly don't understand why Presto doesn't package this as standard with their pressure cookers and pressure canners instead of the fixed 15 pound weight. This weight lets me choose between 5 lb, 10 lb, and 15 lb. It is perfect for me. When I can tomatoes at 11 pounds, I use the 10 pound weight and it works perfectly. The pressure rises to 11 pounds and starts releasing. This way I don't have to be quite as diligent with my flame since it will exhaust the excess without generating excess pounds. BTW, I process/can tomatoes with a pressure canner instead of water bath because it's faster (uses less natural gas) and the pressure canner fits on the stove better than the big water bath pot, especially when I'm using the other burners.

If you have a Presto pressure cooker or pressure canner, you really need this. It's a shame they don't include it instead of the fixed weight that comes with their equipment.

Also, I should note that my Presto pressure canner has a port for the weight as well as the dial gauge. I recommend the canner with a gauge. That way, you can use the weight to regulate while also viewing the pressure so you know exactly what is going on. You are also able to tell that your gauge is calibrated or not based on how it reads with respect to the size weight you are using.

If you are buying a pressure canner, make sure you get the model with the gauge. It's only a few dollars more. Be careful, the model at WalMart may not have the gauge. I bought my canner on Amazon. It's a model 1755.

I bought this for my friend as a housewarming gift. She is a ShopBop girl and she seemed to really like it. It is more of a 'topper' type thing--definitely not a thick, serious apron. The towel that is included is also pretty thin. It arrived 20 minutes before I was leaving for her party and was really not able to get a thorough inspection--those are first impressions. I'd buy one again for other gifts, and maybe down the line, one for myself.

It's a cute apron that I feel is more for show than actual work. I love the idea of having a towel attached but as other reviewers have found, it is a thin terry towel. I have been using the Angela's Garden Full Aprons so I may just be used to a heavier construct. What I do like is the pattern...very chic for a hostess apron. It is well made except for the button that holds the towel is loose already from use but I can just sow it back on if it falls off so it's not a problem for me. I think it just depends on what you are looking for and what you will use it for. I still use it from time to time if I'm having people over for dinner because it is cute!

Best Deals for Jessie Steele Bib Gigi French Toile with attached Towel

This set is really cute and sewn well. I gave it a four because I expected the fabric to be thicker. It is a "light" canvas. The apron is still nice and I don't regret the purchase. The little towel attaches to a button on the side and is very handy for wiping hands. The towel is very thin but matches well. The design of the apron is very pretty and more like you are wearing a cute dress! Can't beat that! It also comes all folded up in a small square plastic bag...not appealing to open, yet it is attractive and fun for an apron.

I have made many a nice meal in it, including Spicy Sicilian Chicken which requires a full 5lb chicken among many other things and that was no match for my lovely new pot!

Clean up is a so easy, no stains, the pot literally wipes right up! I use my pot on my Ceramic stove top and it really is perfect for it. It fits nicely on the burner. I love that it is stainless steel so as not to mess up my foods tastes or leach any harmful chemicals into my foods!

I feel this is the best bargain for a pot in this category! Its an awesome pot that anyone would be proud to own. Use, then store or display, it looks nice on my ceramic stove top and functions perfectly. Couldn't ask for better.

Do be aware of your dimensions regarding clearance from your stove top to whatever maybe above your stove, your microwave, range hood or kitchen cabinets. We have a microwave above our kitchen stove top and although the clearance is plenty fine, when removing the lid I still banged into the microwave's base of the door a couple times.

This is a great stock pot! The bottom is thick and it is great for low heat. Making chili or stewing a turkey after Thanksgiving/Anytime, so wonderful for soups. lid fits snug and it is a heavy duty pot just the best for making slow cooked items, want spag sauce, there you go, anything where you want to make a lot of something and cook it slow, this is your pot. Got it and gave it to my daughter who is a vegetarian and she makes the best soups you can imagine. The cheap, thin pots are simply not worth the money, this will last you and your family for years. Instead of a chicken in every pot, I would say a pot for every chicken! Add dumplings as needed!

I've used this pot twice. At $79 it is a good buy. I don't know why the handles are a concern as to whether they are rivets or welds. As you can see in the picture these handles are spot welded. There is a metal strap that covers the actual handles and that is welded in 8 spots. There is no flex in the handles when lifting the pot.

I used the pot for making beer wort. This requires 1 hours of boiling each time. So far I have made 2 batches. After emptying the pot I rinsed it out and did a fast wash. There are not stains so far.

I heated aprox. 3 gallons or so. The pot seems to boil this evenly. I carried the pot from the gas stove, down cellar steps and then outide to a cooling bath. The handles are fine and strong. The pot is holding up well.

I'd say this is a great pot that cleans up easily, is tough, and doesn't stain or rust. I'd buy it again.

I use this pot whenever I need to make large quantities of meals for myself. It's just the right size and is very heavy-duty. I've used it several times, it fits in my dishwasher and looks just as good as it did when I got it. Highly recommened for those of us who cook a lot.

This product is made of pine and will most likely warp and rot over time. A hangiri made of cyprus would be unlikely to warp or rot.....ever. Cyprus hangiri are also much more expensive but will last forever. You get what you pay for.

This is not a real Hangiri. It is a cheap knockoff. The copper bands are merely decorative and immediately fell off as I took it out of the package. While it is still functional, the question is how long will the glue last thats holding this thing together. Dont waste your money here if your buying this for making sushi rice.

This sushi bowl was purchased for my mom's birthday. We weren't sure if this product would measure up to the one we got from Japan over 30 years ago. It's a perfect match and works great. It's the quality of the wood that helps make perfect sushi rice and this product is excellent. The shipping was great, arriving before the specified delivery date and no damage at all.

Honest reviews on Wooden Sushi Oke Hangiri 13in #ck33

I certainly recommend this bowl for when making sushi. It is great for cooling rice rapidly to give it that shiny appearance. It also helps remove any extra moisture to allow the rice to stick together.

This set of cookware replaced my Farberware set. The skillets are deeper than what I had. The handles are easy for me to hold on to (I have arthritis). Nice looking pans and seem to be durable so far.

We rec'd a set of pans for our wedding and we thought they would be amazing, nope! Anyway we have now bought these pans and love them. They cook evenly and seem to clean very nice.

I have used these since Christmas 2011. I bought them to replace an aging T-fal set. The T-fal non-stick is better than these even after hundreds of cleanings. For some reason, the non-stick is rougher than most other non-stick. Also, I heard cracking from the lid for the fryer when I cooked with it. The noise is no longer there but I won't use it much anymore. I don't trust it now. I have an electric stove. The smallest pan does not sit flat when empty. It looks like the handle is too heavy for small pan's size and weight. The problem is, that size is the one I use the most. For the price, I'm disappointed. I will use them for now but I would never buy this set again. I would probably go for a higher end T-fal or Farberware.

Around the begining of June 2012 we decided to look at purchasing pots and pans, we googled the make that we were told by commercial chefs that we know ,were a very good product for us to look at buying

Amazon had these particular pots and pans we were after, we ordered and paid for these online via Amazon from the United States, within a couple of weeks we recieved our purchase

I have purchsed other items from America online via Amazon and as usual there service is excellent quick and always very reliable and packaged very well to protect the purchase during the shipping, also at the New Zealand end they deal with a very efficient courier company that always gets the purchase to my door quickly and efficiently

I can very confidently recomend Amazon for any online purchase

We replaced a 10-year old set of Cook's (JCP) cookware earlier this year, with the Oneida 10-piece set. I'd go along with virtually all of the other reviews reflected here. The cookware seems to perform very well. Good heat distribution. Cleans easily. Good finish and non-stick properties. Good, heat-isolating handles. I'd say that the only limited drawback has been the relative sizes of the cookware especially the large skillet and the large stockpot. For larger entrees or bigger recipes, both the skillet and stockpot are pushed to their maximum capacity in terms of their ability to accommodate large recipes and actually be able to stir the contents safely, without spillage. Overall, this a great set for the price, but if you do larger quantities, you may want to invest in a larger individual stockpot purchased separately.

So let's be honest, this is a dumpy little microwave omelet maker.

That said, I love it. Mine broke pretty early on and now is just two seperate pieces, but still works great. I use Egg Beaters and pour some in with some veggies, toss it in the microwave for a few minutes, go get dressed, and when I come back i've got breakfast. And i've even tried making the traditional omelet with cheese in between the two parts and it's not a problem at all. Best part is, if you want you can eat it right out of the pan.

Cleanup seriously takes about 15 seconds: water, soap, scrub, done.

This product is why I can actually eat eggs the way I want every morning.

This is my favorite kitchen "gadget" by far. I can easily mix up 3 eggs in a mixer, pour the egg into each side of the omelet maker and cook it for 1.5 minute. When that part is done I put a slice of cheese on each side (while it's still open) then I microwave it again for about 30 seconds.

I take it out of the microwave and shut the omelet maker cheese stays in the middle and there's no spilling. I can either eat my omelet out of the omelet maker or slide it (it really is that non-stick!) straight into a plate.

It's very non-stick. I wish more things were like this. Super easy cleanup, even when the cheese spills over.

Purchased a few months ago and it's still in great shape, we use it at least 5 times a week.

Well worth the money!

This is a GREAT microwave appliance; it makes very good omelets with no fuss, AND it cleans up easily afterward--an important consideration.

Great for elderly and/or disabled people who have problems with other appliances. The omelet is a good single-serving size, and takes a decent amount of "fillings."

Just remember to make the omelets without the usual cookbook directions calling for added milk/water!

Honest reviews on Progressive International Microwavable Omelet Maker

First mixed in water with the eggs and the times they suggest worked perfectly. But the eggs tasted a little bland so tried mixing in 1/2 and 1/2 with eggs and voila!! best omelets I've ever had! Needed to adjust the times lower and am using 70, 45, 20 instead of the 90, 60, 30.

Ooops almost forgot to mention, I'm only using 2 eggs. Not the 3 the directions recommend.

If you really mix (very vigorously) the cream and the eggs, this will fluff into an omelet like no other. This thing is just incredible. No more slow cooking it on a stove, no more worrying if you'll be able to flip it over without losing half of it. If you have the toppings ready, the fully cooked omelet will be ready in less the 5 mins :)

Wanted to Add: (9/01/11), there's an easy way to get these out of the omelet maker, if you haven't already thought of it. After the last step (with it closed), place it on something like a cutting board and open it up. Leave open for 20 to 30 seconds and let it cool down.

Then, with it open, put one hand underneath the part that has the omelet in it. Quickly (as these things are still hot) put your large flat plate on top of the part with the omelet. Now just flip both over quickly. Voila! perfect omelet everytime!

The price is right for this, so by all means check it out for yourself... you really have nothing to lose.

But in my opinion, I didn't love it. The cooking times included in the instructions came nowhere close to cooking the eggs in my microwave. Also, when you get to the stage where you fold the thing closed, pretty much every single time for me the eggs just stuck to both sides and had to be scraped out when finished.

And lastly, and most importantly, the eggs just didn't taste very good from this thing. Rubbery, tough, just not good.

But again, a lot of people seem to like this thing, so maybe it was just my microwave and/or my preparation skills. Try it for yourself.
