For the price, you can't beat this chafer. The metal is a little thin and not as polished as resturant quality chafers but for home use it is perfect. It only costs a bit more than two disposable foil chafers, making it a great value.

Great looking Casserole. Adds real personality to your stove.

We leave it out to display when not using it. It is as advertised

and pictured (don't understand the other reviewer's comments

unless they shipped them the wrong product tomato instead

of the apple maybe...)

Cooks well like any Le Creuset pot and is a quality item but not

cheap.

I was excited when I initially made the purchase, however, I was very disappointed when it arrived. The handle on the lid in the picture made it look like an apple stem, however the casserole that arrived had a simple common round lid handle, which made it look like a weird red pot. Needless to say, I returned it, and I am still waiting for a refund. Buyers beware.

This item is really light weight and the rack cant dent easily. It was not packaged well at all on first shipment and arrived very bent in several places. After contacting the shipper, we were mailed another one--but that took 3 weeks. The size is perfect for smaller kitchens and it looks great now that it is installed. Another tip: do NOT hang it like it is in the picture. Handing both chains on one eye bolt is a disaster. Use both eye hooks and hang one chain for each. Otherwise it is completely unstable.

This rack is relatively inexpensive, but even so not worth the price. A few months back I saw a VERY similar one at Aldi for $24.99 which would be FAIR price. THINK OF THIS PRODUCT AS "POT RACK LITE"!

The frame is constructed of VERY thin sheet metal, the grid and supporting chain from very small diameter rod and link.

In fairness, it's well made in terms of welding and painting... it looks decent enough. But again, it's strictly LIGHT DUTY. If you have mostly ALUMINUM cookware, fine and dandy. But don't plan on hanging your cast iron skillets or clad pans, or storing your heavy dutch ovens on top.

Finally, the single-point suspension system is a cost saving design that isn't STABLE enough for this kind of application. If installed as instructed, it will be prone to "spin" and "sway" when removing or hanging a pan; you'll be tempted to use one hand for the pan and the other to steady the rack. Any rectangular hanging rack should be suspended from at least TWO points (all four corners is even better.) Again in fairness, there IS enough chain to suspend it from all four corners.

I kept the rack rather than returning it; I actually found a use for it in my garage!

Again, it's not a bad product, but it's strictly light duty and in my opinion NOT worth its current price ($38 bucks at the time I purchased it. At $24.99 to $29.99, it would be a good VALUE.)

Very thin metal and pint looked as if put in box too soon. Be sure to hang from 4 points not one like shown in picture

Honest reviews on Fox Run Square Pot Rack with Chrome Chains and Hooks, Black

We just moved into a house that has one-third the square footage of our last one. We have somewhere between 20-30 pots and pans and no cabinet space for them, so this was a great idea for maximizing vertical space. We did not have hundreds of dollars to invest in a rack, so this was in just the right price range.

To get the most out of this product, here's what you need:

1. Four hooks rated to about 25 pounds each

2. Four anchors/toggles that can go into the ceiling and that are the right size for your hooks to screw into

Screw holes for the anchors, place them in the ceiling, screw the hooks into them. You want to have each corner supported separately by its own hook, because if you only do one or two hooks, when you remove one pan, everything else on the rack will slide around with the shift in gravity. This rack is a nice choice because it has a center grid, so you can stack pots in the middle as well as hanging them around the sides. Although the construction is lightweight, the joints are soldered, so it is strong. I took away one star because I had to supply additional hardware, there were no instructions, and the construction could be better to last longer. I've only had it for three months, but so far it has held up really well, in spite of lots of use and abuse.

Overall, for the price, can't be beat!

For one person this is a great item. French fries come out nice and crispy like they were deep fried but without the grease!

I put fries or tater tots on the tray and give them a quick spray with cooking spray, season them then just cook in the toaster oven. Pizza reheated came out great also and so did frozen chicken patties.

If there are two people look into getting the larger size for a stove oven, this tray cooks for one reheating pizza or cooking fries or tater tots.

Well worth the small amount it costs.

This is a good option to have for heating/reheating anything you want to have a bit of air flow around. Pizza, bread, biscuits and so on all seem to do well with it. It's gone through the dishwasher for us with no problems.

Best Deals for Nordic Ware Toaster Oven Pizza/Crisping Sheet

I love the crisping pan. I've only washed it by hand, even though it says it's dishwasher safe. I just worry about rusting on any metal pan. It has worked great for pizza and breads that I want toasted.

Honest reviews on Nordic Ware Toaster Oven Pizza/Crisping Sheet

Works great for small pizzas in my Cuisinart convection oven. It dose what it says; browns the bottom while cooking the top. Mini pizzas come out perfect.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Nordic Ware Toaster Oven Pizza/Crisping Sheet

Works great for french fries, taquitos, pizza rolls, french bread pizza. It's also the best way to quickly reheat a slice of thin-crust pizza and have it come out crisp. Sure, the size is small but people trying to be ambitious with toaster ovens are kidding themselves. My only disappointment is that the non-stickiness of the non-stick surface seems to fade (even without being scratched). I think it may have to do with being used a lot at higher temperatures, but that's to be expected with the kinds of foods you would crisp on this.

I got this set for Christmas, so I've had some time to use the cookware. For a stainless steel set at this price, it looks and feels like a more expensive set. They are visually appealing with nice elegant curves and a nice polished finish yet very sturdy and well built. They have a very solid feel in the hand and I will expect them to last for many years. I've always liked the quality of Cuisinart products and this set is no different. The aluminum base that is sandwiched in between the steel at the base makes for very even heat distribution. Cleanup with these are easy, I use Bon Ami to get off stubborn burned on food. I would not put these in the dishwasher, they can get small scratches and ruin the nice finish of the outside of the cookware. Overall you can't go wrong with a cookware set of this quality at this price.

I bought these about a month ago, after long months of research (it's hard to find a good set at this price!). I am very happy with them. First of all, they look gorgeous, which is an unexpected treat. Secondly, they cook beautifully as long as you never, never use them on any heat higher than medium high. I can actually sauté most things on medium with these pans. I do have to use enough cooking oil, and keep stirring--but this set is are not non-stick, and any stainless steel would be the same. If anything sticks or burns on, I use some powdered Bon Ami, recommended by the man where we bought the set.

Best Deals for Cuisinart 44-13 Contour Stainless 13-Piece Cookware Set

Because of other reviewers' input, I feel compelled to add mine. I LOVE my new pots and pans! I knew going into it there were no lids for the skillets, and I wish Cuisinart would fix that. It was also good to read up on care of stainless steel cookware--I think that has been and will continue to be the key to preventing discoloration of the beautiful shiny silver appearance! I am an ordinary person and I have managed to scorch and burn some things already (so preheat pans a little, use small amount of oil or Pam, and use lower heat than you're used with non-stainless cookware), but letting them cool a bit prior to rinse (to prevent warping) and/or heating plain water to loosen burned food, makes clean-up a snap. Use a stainless steel "scrubby" if you need a little extra muscle. I haven't used Ajax at all (and won't with these because of chlorine), I've washed in dishwasher, and I've even let them set in sink overnight. I also rinse after cooking acidic foods (spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, etc). It's obvious they're not brand-new-out-of-the-box, but they're pretty dang close. And I love, love, love cooking with them!!!

Honest reviews on Cuisinart 44-13 Contour Stainless 13-Piece Cookware Set

I like this set. It's pretty simple to clean and I'm getting used to cooking with it. It heats up more easily than my last set, but unlike some other reviews have noted, I haven't burnt anything so far. I just had to get used to cooking on a setting or two under the recommended because of the core that intensifies the heat.

I only have two complaints, and they both involve the lids. When I'm boiling something, sometimes the steam will escape from several sides of the lid. This may just be because I'm boiling at a higher temp. than necessary; not sure. The other complaint is that, unlike the handle to any of the pots and pans, the handles to the lids heat up quite a bit. I usually need an oven mitt to remove them.

Other than what has been mentioned, great set. I should also note that I'm a bit of a klutz and have dropped the same glass lid twice now on my kitchen floor and it still looks brand new, so I think we can assume this set is somewhat durable.

Enjoy!

I have to say, after reading some of the reviews I was a little scared to buy the set. I have 47 years cooking experience for a family of 6. I also have a Contour 12" fry pan my fiance bought for me & I have had no problems with it, in fact I love this fry pan! So I took the plunge & bought the Contour set! My set came & they were just beautiful! Not a scratch or dent to be found anywhere. I have cooked everything in them with no problems (sticking, cleaning etc.) no marks , discoloration or pitting like some people have complained about. Handles & lid handles are fine, don't get hot enough for use of oven mitts. I have cooked tomato sauce & meatballs & let them simmer on the stove & have no sticking what so ever. The instructions are very clear about cooking temps. & cleaning process. I take a lot of pride in my cooking & how my pots & pans look. Cleaning is quick & simple. No more time to clean than any non stick set.No scrubbing needed! And they look beautiful. As good as new! Please Do Not let the negative reviews deter you from ordering these pots & pans, I love mine & I am sure you will Not be disappointed in this purchase! Just remember: Read the instructions & you will NOT have any problems, A few old hints: lower heat & heat the pan a little before putting oil or butter in the pan & everything will cook fine. Cooking with s.s. is different than non stick pans. And if something does stick,( old hint) put on stove with water & boil for a couple mins. & it will come right out & Bar Keepers Friend will become YOUR BEST FRIEND. It takes 2 seconds to use & saves on dish soap! Also if you find shadows of what you cooked in the pan, use about 1/8 th cup of vinegar to a cup or 2 of water & boil on stove & shadows will disappear like magic!I only saw a shadow once & never again! Also make sure you dry the pans well, I use a microfiber cloth & they shine like new! LOVE MY POTS & PANS! Wish you all luck with them. I have had an excellent experience with mine! 1 more thing, my fiance said he paid big bucks in the store for 1 12" pan, so i found the price on Amazon to be very good as well.

I purchased this item to complement the Rachel Ray Hard Anodized set that I already owned. While in the pictures they look the same the plastic handles on this item are made of a different material and feel cheap and plasticy (not a word). These handles also get very hot while cooking unlike the other pots from the set. The metal is a little bit thinner than the pots from the set as well. However, overall it looks close enough to make me happy and gives me that extra pot which I desperately needed.

Okay, I admit it, I own many different styles of these pans -I am attracted to the various designs and high quality. Initially I was surprised at the price tag but as is often the case, you get what you pay for. Properly cared for, this pan will last a lifetime. The pan is particularly lovely because of the three different flowers -rose, sunflower and daisy.

Pan preparation is important so don't skip this step. Spray Baker's Joy (cooking spray that contains flour and is designed for baking) liberally in the pan to capture all details, then turn the pan upside down over paper towels to drain while you prepare the batter. The recipe that comes with the pan is delicious but a cake mix may be altered to work well in the pan. A dense cake, like a pound cake is the goal. There are many recipes on the internet recipe/cooking sites. In a search engine type in the words -recipe for bundt cake from mix. A typical alteration includes an additional egg and substituing yogurt or sour cream (if desired, non-fat versions of the dairy products also work) for the liquid. The thicker the cake batter the more detail in the cake. Before placing it in the oven, give the pan a good rap or two on the counter to release any air bubbles that might interfere with the finished design.

Be sure to let the cake cool upright in the pan for 10 minutes before unmolding. Right from the oven the cakes are too fragile to unmold and they can easily fall apart, but if they stay in the pan too long they begin to adhere and may stick. If too much batter was used and the cake has risen above the mold, after cooling, a serrated bread knife, held almost flush with the pan, can quickly remove the excess. Once cool, the finished cakes are distinctive and just a light dusting of powdered sugar will make the details pop. Lighter batters show off the design more clearly -white, yellow and spice cake. It is possible to scratch the non-stick finish, so do not use any metal utensils or harsh scouring pads on the pan.

These cakes are welcome during any Springtime, Easter or even a baby shower celebration. But, no particular event is necessary to brighten a mundane week with the special cakes made with this terrfic Nordic Ware pan.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

These are heavy-duty cast aluminum pans. The pan is very heavy and has a non-stick finish, six cavities in three different flower shapes: rose, daisy and sunflower.

Each cavity has a 1 cup capacity. I have had good results by filling with 1/2 C of batter. As it bakes, the batter will rise and fill the remaining space in the cavity. If you overfill, the bottoms will rise up and be rounded so they won't sit level(though you can also use a cake leveler to trim the bottoms flat to the pan before turning the cakes outthey sell these but I use a very fine gauge stainless steel wire which has each end wrapped around a 3-inch wooden dowel).

I have several styles of these panslove Nordic Ware cast pans. They will last forever if properly cared for and is an easy way to take your baking up a notch without really having to do anything special.

I have used cake, cupcake, quick bread and muffin recipes in these pans. I have never had anything stick. Just like with a larger pan, all I do is coat thoroughly using a non-stick spray like Pam. I do not flour the pan.

For quick breads, I use Cook's Illustrated's recipesthe yogurt in them makes the cakes very moist. I get about 8-9 of these mini cakes out of a recipe that would normally make one regular loaf. I usually double or triple the recipe if I am making these for an event. If they are just for home consumption, often I will do one pans worth of individual cakes and then a pan of mini muffins or a few jumbo muffins.

In terms of baking time, I start checking for doneness at about half the time called for in the recipe. In my oven, they usually take about 20-25 minutes to bake up. These heavy duty pans will leave a nice finish on whatever you bake in them. I like that the outside gets a tiny bit crispy without being hard and dryI feel like it seals in the air and moisture which is why everyone I make these for loves them.

I have also used pound cake, shortcake, and cupcake recipes in these. You have to watch the time because these do bake differently than just cupcakes or a whole loaf. Do make sure you wash thoroughly in between uses. I soak my pans for a bit and then use a soft brush to get into the nooks and cranniesthey wash up very easily that way.

Everyone loves theseeven without any frostingjust because the shapes are so unique and it is a treat to have your own individual cake. They look lovely with glaze over them and you can also get a little crazy and fill in the details with colored frosting, using the impressions as a guide. My kids adore these and will eat anything that comes out of themeven bran muffins or zucchini bread.

Another reviewer commented on the priceI was able to get mine using the 4-for-3 promotion which cuts down the cost a bit. I would have been willing to pay full price because I imagine these will be handed down through the family for a good couple of generations at least.

Best Deals for Nordic Ware Bouquet Pan

Nordic Ware baking pans are very pretty and of high quality. I own quite a few pieces by Nordic Ware.

The first one was an accident buy and became hooked with this brand. For the pans that have designs such as this one, I use a brush for easy cleaning.

I don't use them just for baking but for gelatin molds, ice molds, and a variety of food that can be mold into these beautiful designs pans.

Honest reviews on Nordic Ware Bouquet Pan

I love these! Made cornbread, poppyseed cake, and red velvet in these recently. Great shapes! My tip? DON'T FLOUR THE PAN! I used butter or shortening only so you don't get flour "mold" on the designs. The first time I tried flouring the pan the design was less pretty and I had to frost it to cover the floured edges. The cakes came out easy without the flour and looked lovely.

The pans worked perfectly! They browned evenly and released the cakes well. Here are some tips:

1. Use Baker's Joy or a similar spray with flour.

2. Don't over fill! Fill only 2/3 3/4 full.

3. Tap the pan several times to release bubbles.

4. Lighter cakes show the detail better than dark cakes.

I bought this to use for bulk yogurt culture with a Euro Cuisine yogurt maker.

It works very well. That unit has a low lid, so many other glass containers don't fit. This fits perfectly.

I have many different glass and plastic Pyrex and Anchor Hocking containers. This is my favorite.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I use the container for my soup in my lunch bag. Have used it for months and it never leaked. It can be heated up in a microwave with the lid on. One thing to watch is since the lid pushes into the container, you need to be careful to leave room for the lid, otherwise the liquid will spill over as the lid is pushed in. Another thing is that the lid seems to stick to grease more than plastic lids so the groove or gap on the edge of the lid is little harder to clean by handwash. So it is not "prefect" but it does function as advertise.

Best Deals for Pyrex No Leak Glass Storage Container with Lid, Round

I love that it is glass and even has a glass lid. The glass bottom is made in the USA which is always a plus. I wish the lid was not made in China -for a product advertised as being 'Made in the USA' it is frustrating that they would make the lid in China! (It states 'lid made in china' on the bottom of the lid') It is especially disappointing since the lid has plastic. I don't trust chinese plastic but it is impossible to avoid. If you are trying to minimize your families exposure to plastic -this is a good container. I would buy it again because I haven't found any others with a glass lid like this and I do like that it seals the food in. It's not perfect but it's close. If they had also made the lid in the USA with USA plastic then I would have given it five stars.

Honest reviews on Pyrex No Leak Glass Storage Container with Lid, Round

If you're like me, you've become paranoid about plastics. But at the same time you need something that's leak-proof to carry your soups and mushy lunches to work. This solves all your problems. There is zero plastic in this entire product--the lid is freaking glass! (and silicone). They are leak-proof, and can be microwaved. Supposedly the lids can even be used in the oven, though I'm not going to try it. Overall they just have a solid feel to them as well...at work the other day I actually got a comment that my container was really fancy.

Like so many of us, I am moving away from plastic containers. These bowls are attractive, the lids are perfect, and food storage is healthy and easy. I want more.

Very elegant, very fragile and when full, sounds like plastic when toasted. When empty, a nice ring but empty glasses are not often toasted.

So, overall pretty but not great. Who doesn't toast champagne? IMHO, a nice ring is important.

They are elegant pieces, but be very careful with them. I broke one the first time I washed it by hand. The stem snapped in half.

Best Deals for Lenox Tuscany Classics Fluted Champagne, Set of 4

I love these so much I bought four sets. I think I may need more...

The shape is perfect: The stem is long and graceful, the depth of the flute is ideal for sustaining bubbles, it has the appropriate capacity of about 6 oz, and simple lines showcase your beautiful champagne.

They feel very substantial--the picture is deceiving. While they are delicate crystal, they are not thin or light. Obviously they need to be washed carefully, but what stemware doesn't?

Perfect.

Honest reviews on Lenox Tuscany Classics Fluted Champagne, Set of 4

These are beautiful and look really fragile (and definitely are) but I've knocked more than one of them over taking dishes out of my cabinet and despite my fears, no breakage or even a chip. Obviously, I don't suggest careless handling and these are definitely "handle with care" glasses, but also of good enough quality to hold up to real-life conditions. I bought a dozen and despite feeling guilty about purchasing something I rarely need, I'm happy with my choice.

Presto Pressure Cooker Sealing Ring/Automatic Air Vent Pack
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

If you have an older pressure cooker, bought one on e-bay, or got it from grandma, this is the part that makes it work. The kit contains the gasket ring for the lid, and the rubber safety blow-out. It takes some time to get the ring to seat in place, and it will look like the new ring is way too big, but it is the correct one. Just keep working it into place until all of it seats in the grove. Some cooking oil helps. It must be pushed all the way down into the grove. After it is in place, it will likely still look a bit too large. After a couple of uses, it will look perfect, and should last many years. What a great way to make an older pot just like new.

Presto Pressure Cooker Sealing Ring/Automatic Air Vent Pack (3 & 4 Quart) Before ordering a new seal for an old pressure cooker I inherited (It's so old, Noah may have used it on the Ark!), I used Presto's look up tool. I put in the number on the bottom of the cooker and learned the product number for the seal I needed to order. When it arrived, I laid it out next to the cookers' lid. I knew I was in trouble when the gasket had a larger diameter than the lid itself. The neighbors and I spent several hours trying to make it fit (Warm soapy water etc.) without success, It was just too large. Being creative, I cut 1 and 1/2 inches out of the gasket and joined the ends back together with some high temp Form-a-Gasket (Used for automotive thermostats.). My fix worked. But, be warned. The gasket/seal you order may not fit some older cookers.

Replacement sealing ring fit my pressure cooker just like it said. Soft and supple when taken out of the box. You do have to know how to insert them into place. Looks at first like it doesn't fit but it does. Just start tucking it under the lip of the top and continue all around. Sticking in the last piece looks long but it isn't when it gets tucked in. Seals great.

I'll admit I was expecting miracles based on TV ads, the packaging, and reviews I saw online. All I can say is, you get what you pay for, and this is only a $19 knife.

My first clue that this wasn't the end-all came from the package insert. The list of what NOT to do with this knife is twice as long as what you can do. You can't cut with it against just any surface, so my glass cutting board was out. You can't twist or rock the blade for fancy chopping, and you can't press on the side of it (like when you smash/peel garlic) My Yoshi did not quite slice a tomato like butter, the way the TV ads show. The short blade also makes it impractical for larger potatoes, onions, etc.

That all said, once I got over the limitations I find I reach for it often to cut up smaller things like green onions, chili peppers, carrots, etc. It works just fine and is definitely not a bad little knife for the price. You just have to be careful with it, because the ceramic blade is fragile if mishandled.

I received the Yoshi Blade knife in June of this year, used it normally for vegetables and fruits, and then yesterday, September 23rd, 2010 it breaks inside the handle. I call customer service to explain that I have only had it for 2 1/2 months, and all I get for a response is "the knife is out of warranty." Is there anything else I can help you with today?

Are you for real? Defective product! Even more defective customer services (if you can call it that!)

My wife made the unfortunate mistake of buying another Yoshi Blade and the blade chipped in less than 2 weeks!!!!!

If there was a rating one could give allowing for MINUS STARS, I WOULD RATE THIS PIECE OF TRASH THAT WAY!

DON'T BUY THIS! YOU'RE WASTING YOUR MONEY!

For anyone reading this post who thinks it is somehow contrived, I can assure you it is NOT! Read the part about POOR customer service from Yoshi Blade, and you will know why I wrote the article to begin with. It's never just about a product that breaks. It IS about how the company handles it!

Best Deals for YoshiBlade Knife, Ceramic

Maybe I was lucky but we love our Yoshi Blade. Honestly for $19 how could you go wrong. If you look at all of pro ceramic blades you see that they are significantly more than the Yoshi Blade. Think of this knife set as an intro to ceramic blades. I have never seen the infomercial nor the ad on TV. So when I got it it was mostly a curious tool to use in the kitchen. All I can say is that this blade is amazingly sharp. It slices tomatoes, citrus, bread, cucumbers and other veggies amazing.

I am a vegetarian so I have no experience with this cutting meat. It does slice through tofu very easy. The minus 1 star is sometimes it is very difficult to get the knife to start a cut. I believe it is mostly due to the design of the tip. If you have any skill in the kitchen with cutting foods you will easily figure out how to properly use this blade. Also, the peeler is more of a novelty and I have only used it with moderate success on carrots.

Always use a wooden or plastic cutting surface. Almost 100% of dulling of blades come from cutting on inappropriate surfaces such as granite, steel, mica; this is true for ALL blades not just ceramic. Check the web for videos showing this. Hand wash this blade, dishwashers will destroy it.

Pros:

+ VERY sharp when cutting mealy foods

+ Lightweight feels plastic but this is how a ceramic blade feels.

+ cleans easily (does not retain any smell from foods (even garlic))

+ price are you kidding me? A ceramic blade for under twenty bucks?

+ slicing and dicing is fantastic its like a razor

Cons:

Cheap cover ( you should use it to protect the blade in the drawer)

not too enthused with the peeler.

Tip needs redesigning

Not sure how you could sharpen it (although if you take care of the blade it should stay sharp a very long time)

Summary:

If you do not own a ceramic blade you should look at this as a fine intro to the class of kitchen utensils. I love mine so much I am buying a full set of pro models for our family for the holidays.

Thank you for reading my review.

Honest reviews on YoshiBlade Knife, Ceramic

This is one of the biggest rip-off's of the year. I have returned it because it arrived chipped and then using it once, it chipped while cutting a tomato! Yes, a nice soft tomato!!!! I asked for a refund not a replacement. Should know better than to order something that is touted on TV.

I purchased the Yoshi Blade today at a local store and after opening package I went to cut into a lemon and it was like I was using the wrong side of the blade. I then had a few days old green bell pepper and again there was ZERO cutting. I actually thought I had the knife blade inverted but that was not the case.

I then took some $5 paring knives I got from Sams's and had sharpened with the Chef Choice XV and they sliced right through this older lemon and pepper. I tried other knives including a Henkels bread knife, WP Santoku, Chef's Knife and even an old "miracle blade" and they all were able to slice through the lemon and pepper easily.

I have not even tried the peeler as I have a Titan Peeler set that I am well pleased with.

Needless to say, my Yoshi is packed up ready to be returned to the store. I do not plan on exhanging it for another one.
