I have CIA's 12" and 8" copper core non stick frying pans and they are absolutely the best pans I've owned. However the 8" pan is a little too small for the weight of the handle, so it easily tips over. Just be careful.

These pans are well built, heat up quickly, the non stick coating seems to last, no muss and no fuss with these pans. A real joy to cook with, everything slides off. They are a little pricey but well worth the price.

Once you cook with these babies, you'll never want to use anything else.

I have an Emeril Lagasse 10" non stick and less than a year the coating has already worn off and it takes forever to heat up. Easily the worst pan I've owned. Bam! Da Worst and expensive.

I own a 12" stainless steel multi copper core All Clad, it's pretty and shiney and everything but hate the ritual of having to heat the pan and heavily priming it with oil before cooking. If you don't, everything sticks to it. And the clean up is the worst.

I was tired of nylon and other plastic spatulas and turners. Most of them have a thick edge and are not sufficiently stiff to really scrape something out of a pan. Using a cheap plastic turner to flip hash brown potatoes in my cast iron pan resulted in a melted edge on the turner and bits of potato still stuck to the pan.

This stainless steel turner is the answer to that problem. It is stiff and heavy duty enough to handle pretty much any turning duty in my kitchen. If you need a flexible turner, this is not it. It has a non-slip material inserted at the holding end of the handle that makes it comfortable to hold. However, if you need to "choke up" on the grip and hold it closer to the turner you will be holding the edges of the turned over steel, which is not very comfortable. Being stainless steel, I don't have to worry about leaving it leaning on the side of my cookware and having it melt. The handle is a good length long enough to keep your hand away from the cooking surface but no so long as to make using it awkward. I used it to get the cookies off my cookie sheets and it worked okay for that, even if the edge could be just a little bit thinner to get under the cookies.

If you are looking for a stainless steel turner, this is a good one.

I've owned it for two years now (Jan-07 to Jan-09). It's still intact, no chips bends or breaks. Great investment.

*original review*

It's sturdy, well built and does the job. Slightly heavy, which is the thing I love about it

Best Deals for OXO Good Grips Brushed Stainless Steel

These OXO stainless tools are the best. Solid, well build, includes a hole to hang them. Unlike the Kitchen Aid which tip out of the pan due to their imbalanced weight characteristics, the OXOs are well balanced. It's slightly heavy which I like. Doesn't scratch very easily and washes nicely. This is my line of choice.

Honest reviews on OXO Good Grips Brushed Stainless Steel

Purchased these for use on cast iron and hard anodized aluminum cookware. It was actually looking for more Calphalon brand SS utensils, as I have two that I have been very pleased with, but it seems that the line I wanted had been discontinued. In comparison, these are not as sleek and polished, or as well crafted. However, they are half the price or less, and work well enough. Good weight and balance, good grip surfaces. For what they are, I'm well pleased and would purchase them again.

OXO's line of brushed stainless steel kitchen utensils are nicely balanced and feel great using them. My only complaint is that after putting them through the dishwasher, they have developed some surface rust spots. They scrub off, but I hate to have to worry about the rust each time. Must be cheap stainless steel composition.

The color really pops against my pale blue and cream kitchen. I have several orange accents and these match perfectly. The great thing about them is they are not just beautiful, they have a soft grip which does not slip (good for my 82 yr. Mom) They do have a warning that you should not leave them in a hot pan while cooking, I never do that anyway. They work painlessly, they easily lift, turn and flip, since they are slightly larger than my old turners they work better on pancakes. Can't go wrong with these. They come in different colors if you hang them and want that little extra zip.

Everything I thought it would be from this collection. Edges tapper for flipping thin items. Would recommend turner to anyone.

We purchased this along with the rest of the Rachael Ray tools and was excited until I used the "Turner" the first time. It is thick and heavy and in no way useful as an everyday spatula. Only good for using on heavy and thick items and only in a large pan. Looks and description is misleading, contemplating returning item. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because it is heavy duty and would handle most large and heavy foods.

I grew up having stuffed bell peppers and then as an adult prepared them for my family. My Mom used a casserole dish to prepare her stuffed peppers and I did as well. It always bothered me that the peppers would fall over losing some of the stuffing, until recently when I read about the Stuffed pepper pan in a magazine. Wow, what an easy solution for making stuffed peppers that kept the stuffing inside. I went to my favorite online store, Amazon, and sure enough they had the pan. I bought 1 pan to try and see if I liked it. I not only liked it but I loved it. Now I am going to buy a second pan and my newly married granddaughter is buying her first Stuffed Pepper Pan. The pan does what it is supposed to do and, even more cleans up easily. Two more suggestions, most stuffed pepper recipies make stuffing for 10 to 12 peppers. First buy a second pan, because you will want one after you try it the first time. Second, don't cut your recipe in half, prepare all the peppers, baking only what you need for the meal and freeze the rest for later meals. If you work it will make your life easier. By the way, I freeze the peppers I am not using in the pan and when frozen move them to a freezer bag.Chicago Metallic Non Stick Stuff It Up Pan

l like the 3 Qt size. It is probably the most everyday use pot in my house. Even better, it is induction compatible. Just to make sure you get the 3Qt one. There is a smaller version which is 2Qt but that is not induction compatible according to Circulon's website. Hope this help if this is important to you.

I received this saucepan this week, and it is beautiful. Very dramatic. I may purchasing the whole set to give as a Christmas present. In addition, the company who sent the saucepan (Giving Gifts) was very responsive when I called about some shipping damage. They immediately sent out another saucepan with no hesitation. This pot is a dream to clean up, even ofter cooking caramel syrup in it. It is heavy enough to hold the heat well, but not so heavy as to be a chore to work with. There are two sizes of strainer holes. All in all, this is a great pan.

This pan is so nice because nothing, and I mean, NOTHING sticks to it, holds heat a long time with cover on it and also is very STURDY, not flimsy at all. Easy to pour water off of cooked noodles, etc, it has a pouring spout with space built into cover to drain liquid. It should last the rest of my life, (I'm 58)

I have been cooking with this pan since I received it. It performs very well. It is in compact size with very nice capacity. And if you put a rack in the pan, you can use it to steam lots of stuff, thanks to the dome lid. Overall, I like this pan.

I do wish the handle could be a bit wider and thicker, so it would be much easier to hold when I need to pour things out. Although the handle stays cool, the lid gets hot quicklier than I expected. Also the pan came with very heavy machinery grease smell. I had to clean it really well before the first use.

This looked like a nice pan for the 5 minutes I had it. I ordered it because it says it is made of stainless steel and I bought an induction "burner" and this pan to go with it. Turns out that the pan is aluminum which won't work with the burner. Amazon sent the return form and it is on it's way back unopened and unused.

My wife wanted a ceramic pan but most of the ones I've seen were aluminum and I wanted a good stainless steel one since I don't cook with aluminum.

She uses a wooden spatula whenever using this pan but loves that she doesn't need oil to keep things from sticking and it has a nice size to handle most of the meals that she cooks for our 5 person family.

It cleans easily and has become her favorite pan. Highly recommended.

This is aluminum and not stainless steel. That said I figured if I didn't like it I could send it back as not as described. I love the aluminum pan! It is holding up well with no scratches in the coating. I use non-metal utensils only. If I were forced to find something wrong it could only be that it is too slick I often have trouble trying to get a spatula under the food I am cooking.

I just bought these glasses at a local store today. They are fine crystal glasses that have thin rims not the thick rimmed glasses that you would normally find in stores. You probably can't tell how fine and thin these are from just looking at the picture on Amazon. I have been looking for thin rimmed wine glasses with a good prices for a long time, like the nicer ones you find for $10 or more from Crate & Barrel. I am lucky to have got them at a great discount. On the bottom of each glasses, there is a very small classy etched Waterford logo and the round rim on the bottom is slightly raised. Love and highly recommend these glasses! However since these are not the cheap thick glasses, they may be more fragile them usual. I also like the sound it makes too. Press your finger to the rim while drawing it around the rim of the glass in a circle, you will get the nice singing sound.

These glasses are a good size and thin, which I like, they are also readily replaceable which I like because I have tile floors and glasses do not bounce

Honest reviews on Marquis by Waterford Vintage Classic White Wine Set of Four

These glasses are very nice just what I expected. I believe I bought them a little cheaper by Amazon Warehouse NEW or Like New. They arrived in perfect shape and good gift quality packaging that includes:

A blue outer box

Cardboard dividers for all four glasses

A care booklet

Snug tissue wrapping of each glass

Bubble Wrap under the tissue for the stem portion of the glassware

The only thing about the box that looks a little unexpected is the bright orange "SOLD as SET" sticker on the outside. There is also packing tape that taped it closed but I believe this is because I bought the set "like new". This is not a gift so it doesn't bother me (but even if it was.... the receiver probably would not care)

I am of thinking of giving two sets of these to my sister for mother's day (mom drinks red wine, and these are white wine glasses).

Okay, I admit it, I own many different styles of these pans -I am attracted to the various designs and high quality. Initially I was surprised at the price tag but as is often the case, you get what you pay for. Properly cared for, this pan will last a lifetime. The pan is particularly lovely because of the three different flowers -rose, sunflower and daisy.

Pan preparation is important so don't skip this step. Spray Baker's Joy (cooking spray that contains flour and is designed for baking) liberally in the pan to capture all details, then turn the pan upside down over paper towels to drain while you prepare the batter. The recipe that comes with the pan is delicious but a cake mix may be altered to work well in the pan. A dense cake, like a pound cake is the goal. There are many recipes on the internet recipe/cooking sites. In a search engine type in the words -recipe for bundt cake from mix. A typical alteration includes an additional egg and substituing yogurt or sour cream (if desired, non-fat versions of the dairy products also work) for the liquid. The thicker the cake batter the more detail in the cake. Before placing it in the oven, give the pan a good rap or two on the counter to release any air bubbles that might interfere with the finished design.

Be sure to let the cake cool upright in the pan for 10 minutes before unmolding. Right from the oven the cakes are too fragile to unmold and they can easily fall apart, but if they stay in the pan too long they begin to adhere and may stick. If too much batter was used and the cake has risen above the mold, after cooling, a serrated bread knife, held almost flush with the pan, can quickly remove the excess. Once cool, the finished cakes are distinctive and just a light dusting of powdered sugar will make the details pop. Lighter batters show off the design more clearly -white, yellow and spice cake. It is possible to scratch the non-stick finish, so do not use any metal utensils or harsh scouring pads on the pan.

These cakes are welcome during any Springtime, Easter or even a baby shower celebration. But, no particular event is necessary to brighten a mundane week with the special cakes made with this terrfic Nordic Ware pan.

These are heavy-duty cast aluminum pans. The pan is very heavy and has a non-stick finish, six cavities in three different flower shapes: rose, daisy and sunflower.

Each cavity has a 1 cup capacity. I have had good results by filling with 1/2 C of batter. As it bakes, the batter will rise and fill the remaining space in the cavity. If you overfill, the bottoms will rise up and be rounded so they won't sit level(though you can also use a cake leveler to trim the bottoms flat to the pan before turning the cakes outthey sell these but I use a very fine gauge stainless steel wire which has each end wrapped around a 3-inch wooden dowel).

I have several styles of these panslove Nordic Ware cast pans. They will last forever if properly cared for and is an easy way to take your baking up a notch without really having to do anything special.

I have used cake, cupcake, quick bread and muffin recipes in these pans. I have never had anything stick. Just like with a larger pan, all I do is coat thoroughly using a non-stick spray like Pam. I do not flour the pan.

For quick breads, I use Cook's Illustrated's recipesthe yogurt in them makes the cakes very moist. I get about 8-9 of these mini cakes out of a recipe that would normally make one regular loaf. I usually double or triple the recipe if I am making these for an event. If they are just for home consumption, often I will do one pans worth of individual cakes and then a pan of mini muffins or a few jumbo muffins.

In terms of baking time, I start checking for doneness at about half the time called for in the recipe. In my oven, they usually take about 20-25 minutes to bake up. These heavy duty pans will leave a nice finish on whatever you bake in them. I like that the outside gets a tiny bit crispy without being hard and dryI feel like it seals in the air and moisture which is why everyone I make these for loves them.

I have also used pound cake, shortcake, and cupcake recipes in these. You have to watch the time because these do bake differently than just cupcakes or a whole loaf. Do make sure you wash thoroughly in between uses. I soak my pans for a bit and then use a soft brush to get into the nooks and cranniesthey wash up very easily that way.

Everyone loves theseeven without any frostingjust because the shapes are so unique and it is a treat to have your own individual cake. They look lovely with glaze over them and you can also get a little crazy and fill in the details with colored frosting, using the impressions as a guide. My kids adore these and will eat anything that comes out of themeven bran muffins or zucchini bread.

Another reviewer commented on the priceI was able to get mine using the 4-for-3 promotion which cuts down the cost a bit. I would have been willing to pay full price because I imagine these will be handed down through the family for a good couple of generations at least.

Best Deals for Nordic Ware Bouquet Pan

Nordic Ware baking pans are very pretty and of high quality. I own quite a few pieces by Nordic Ware.

The first one was an accident buy and became hooked with this brand. For the pans that have designs such as this one, I use a brush for easy cleaning.

I don't use them just for baking but for gelatin molds, ice molds, and a variety of food that can be mold into these beautiful designs pans.

Honest reviews on Nordic Ware Bouquet Pan

I love these! Made cornbread, poppyseed cake, and red velvet in these recently. Great shapes! My tip? DON'T FLOUR THE PAN! I used butter or shortening only so you don't get flour "mold" on the designs. The first time I tried flouring the pan the design was less pretty and I had to frost it to cover the floured edges. The cakes came out easy without the flour and looked lovely.

The pans worked perfectly! They browned evenly and released the cakes well. Here are some tips:

1. Use Baker's Joy or a similar spray with flour.

2. Don't over fill! Fill only 2/3 3/4 full.

3. Tap the pan several times to release bubbles.

4. Lighter cakes show the detail better than dark cakes.

Over the years, we've discovered that no matter how much you spend on a non-stick pan, they all degrade. So, our new approach is to buy cheap and replace often.

We are careful to not use metal (unless we need to) and we can't be bothered to hand wash. Whatever doesn't make it through the dishwasher we throw away! :)

Bought this one because it was very low price and it works great! Will definitely consider re-purchase when it starts to degrade (unless we find something lower price!).

The picture doesn't quite do the coloring justice. The bottom of the pitcher is much darker than the top, ranging from a deep brown/red to a beatifully vivid fire-engine red at the top. The size is just right for sangria for four or a dozen dahlias. As a pitcher, the handle is large and comfortable, and the spout is well-designed and prevents those irritating drips that happen with shorter spouts. As a vase, it'll win you a zillion compliments. My cats have managed to knock it over a couple times, even though it's quite heavy, and there's not a chip to be seen. (This says more about the determination of the cats than about the weight or balance of the pitcher.)

Let me start off and say that these pitchers are two-tone. You can't really see it in the picture amazon gives you, but my "Citrus" pitcher is actually a beautiful orange on the bottom, flowing into a vibrant yellow on top.

It is a large and somewhat heavy pitcher, but this is because it is constructed well. It pours very well, with only a little spillage when its very full or very empty. More than enough to keep a couple in water during a large meal.

Be careful with it however, I think that it probably can't take too much abuse. I had to have mine shipped to me three times before I actually got one that wasnt shattered in shipping. It is dishwasher safe, and I suspect that it isnt prone to chipping and cracking from the dishwasher, but my guess is if you "bonked" it on anything, you might break it.

I have been using a Creuset dutch oven for twenty-plus years and it is still like new. With this respect for the company products I was curious about their stoneware line. This pitcher was my introduction; I was not disappointed. This is a heavy piece of pottery and it makes the perfect alternative to the boring utensil crocks that the other companies offer. The color has the nice shine to it, just as the enameled pieces do. I have since gotten a pie plate and ramekins.

If you are familiar with the Creuset line, you will not be disappointed with this pitcher.

Does Cusinart look as good, yes, is it as good, hmmm, well I am not a professional chef and certain cooking shows state a quality stainless steel product the food won't burn as quickly on bottom and will cook more evenly. Well I didn't see a whole lot of difference between my stainless steel version of Cusinart, but again, I am not a professional Chef, soooo...

If Cusinart still stated their stainless steel products were 18/10, which they stopped doing probably a year or so ago and if they made their products in USA and they were still approx the same price as they are now (so much cheaper than All Clad), I would buy Cusinart, they look great and cook just fine for me on stove and in oven.

I tell anyone how much my Cusinart cost, but daren't say anything on how much I spent on the All Clad, ridiculous really, but I do like my kitchen pans :)

I bought this product at Sam's Club the other day. The product is great and I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in a rotisserie. Having a regular toaster oven and a convection oven in the same unit is a great bonus! The unit comes with two wire shelves, two pizza racks (like cookie sheets but with holes in the bottom; great for Hot Pockets) that fit on top of the wire shelves, a 1" deep backing pan, a wire rack that fits inside the backing pan, two rotisserie forks (for holding the meat on the spic), a rotisserie spic, and a rotisserie handle (for lifting it out of a hot oven).

Installation: A piece of cake. The unit comes packed in Styrofoam with the shelves and pans inside the unit; the rotisserie accessories came loose in the box but bagged in plastic. All I had to do was to wipe it down, wash the racks, and plug the box in.

Performance of the toaster oven: It toasts but boy is there a lot of room in here.

Performance of the convection oven: Never having used one before, I was surprised by the fans going off in the oven. But it did its job well cooking a pair of Hot Pockets to crispy perfection in just a little more time than the microwave. Homemade pot pies also cook very well.

Performance of the rotisserie: Great! I've cooked a beef roast and a Rock Cornish Hen and they came out so flavorful, tender, and juicy. The fat melts off this way and the drippings end up at the bottom. Make sure to cover it with a piece of foil. The unit says it can do up to a 7 ½ lb. bird, but I've only tried up to 4 lbs.

Cleanup: The bottom pan slides out for easy cleanup.

Overall I recommend this unit. Although I've never had a rotisserie or a convection oven to compare it to, it is world's better than my toaster oven. It is also ½ the price of the George Forman unit plus adds more. How can one go wrong?

Actual rating 4 1/2 stars. A half point deduction for door misalignment. The door doesn't seal like it's suppose to. It's not really a seal but a much larger gap than allowed. Either the the frame or the door is slightly warped. A minor error, however, as it still bakes near perfectly and I didn't detected any real heat escaping. I still consider the build of the oven very good.

I tested all features and they work excellent. Convection is very good and cooks much faster and is quiet. Much more quiet than the Toastmaster convection which was extremely noisy! This feature is also handy for quick warm-ups or making bread rise. The rotisserie also works very good. You must tie the the chicken up well, however.

The timer does not exactly stop on zero. It seems to go on 2 minutes or more. Again, a minor thing. Just compensate for this. It could be because the timer is also the on\off switch.

Using a drugstore temperature gauge I found the reading between the gauge and the oven off by about 25-50 degrees. However, everything cooks excellent using the oven degree markings. No undercooked items. In fact, this thing cooks much faster than recommended time in most recipes, sometimes much faster! For instance, on its rotisserie feature I found a 3 1/2 pound chicken could of been done about 15 minutes (or more) earlier than the recommended 2 hours! A roll recipe I found bakes about 25% faster than the recipe called for and I didn't even use the convection feature for either! (Note: The oven degree reading and the drugstore temp gauge reading were the same when using the convection feature.)

One caveat: I did find the the broil feature slightly weak for red meats, (it more like bakes it) but it did cook the fish nicely (crisp skin) at near exact recommened times.

When using this oven over 400 degrees the sides and top of the oven gets hot, including the controls! I must note this oven has no insulation of any kind. It also has no oven light, but one is not really needed, but it would be nice.

Includes a pamphlet type cookbook that is only a guide, but it does give sample recipes for every feature. Enough to get you started on what it is capable of. Includes two racks, a roast pan with separate grill rack, and a aluminium pizza pan with small holes througout. For handy cleanups the bottom of the oven can be easily pulled out and washed.

To give you some idea of its size, it can handle a 12" pizza, two if you have another of its pizza pan. (Though I never tried it). The rotisserie can handle up to a 5lb chicken. The oven a 7lb roast chicken. The oven interior is about 12" front to back (not including curved glass door), about 13" side to side, and about 10" from top burner coil to bottom burner coil, with each coil about 1/4" to 1" away from the metal surface respectively. The roast pan that comes with it has an inside dimension (excluding the lips) of about 11 1/2" by 9 3/4".

Overall, a very good small oven for the price.

This is not a $500 Cuisinart, but then it's not $500. I found mine at Macy's for about thirty percent less than most retailers, and at that price it was certainly worth trying. I bought mine to replace a fifteen year old toaster oven that I often found myself pushing beyond its limits. (It also caught fire while toasting frozen lumpia, but that's another story)

Plusses? Inexpensive, large capacity, room to cook a small turkey or a couple loaves of bread without heating up the big stove. Minuses? It's kind of lightweight. The rotisserie won't handle much of a load. It's slow to heat up, especially compared to the typical toaster over. And it won't make toast.

But overall, it's not a bad deal, and if you entertain with a small kitchenas I doit's pretty useful.

Followup: I've had this oven for two and a half years now, and it's still in almost daily use. You can't say that about too many inexpensive products these days.

Pros: This oven serves me quite well for all of my baking and broiling needs. I like that you can choose between bake and convection bake so that you don't have to use the convection feature if you don't want to. When using convection the fan is nice and quiet. I like having a timer so that I can leave the kitchen and not worry about burning something. The timer bell is perfect one solid ding that you can hear from another room. Having two racks is great since you can have two things going at the same time. My oven is on a cart at eye level and several people have commented on how good looking it is. The way the crumb tray slides out easily without even opening the oven door is the most convenient I've ever seen. I've had my oven for 2.5 months and so far I am as happy as can be with it. I've made all kinds of things homemade rolls, Christmas cookies, Mahi-Mahi fillets, pizza, roasted veggies, just to name a few, and everything turns out good.

Cons: The instruction booklet is laughable, it contains no useful information at all. I want to buy a convection cooking cookbook, mostly to learn how to dehydrate stuff. If you are a toast lover you will need a separate appliance for that because this oven is too tall to cook both sides of a slice of bread at once.

My oven came with one pizza pan, one baking/broiling pan with rack, two oven racks, and the rotisserie kit. I have not used the rotisserie feature yet.

UPDATE May 19, 2007 here it is well over two years later and the oven is still working perfectly. So glad I picked this one.

July 24, 2009 Still going strong as my only oven! Only one thing showing wear and that is the door handle. It's loose but still attached. I hope it holds on!!

By the way I can make toast with this oven after all I use the top rack in its highest slot, set the oven on "broil" and when the top of the bread is toasted I turn it over to do the other side. It would be easier to have a toaster but my kitchen is so small I don't know where I'd put one.

I love this oven! You can reheat fried foods with the convection oven to get things nice & crispy instead of soggy, like a microwave. In fact, it is good enough to fry without oil, such as spraying sliced potatoes with Pam & then convectioning them until they are crisp outside & tender inside.

The Rotiserie is a little small (it only holds 4 pounds) and you need good cotten string to tie wings & anything else that may flop when turning. But the food comes out a nice golden brown while being juicy inside.

However, you can sit a 7 pound roast on top of the roasting rack and still have vegetables in the roasting tray.

The Pizza tray also works well with cookies, but make sure you flatten the pizza dough just before cooking if you plan to use the convection setting instead of the bake setting, since it makes breads rise higher as well as cook faster.

My only complaint was the instruction manual. Having been advertised as having a "Toaster" feature at Sam's, it didn't have instructions for making toast. I called the help number & learned that after preheating for 10 minutes, you can 'broil' bread on the top shelf for 2 minutes, turn over & cook another 2 minutes for toast. You seem to need to preheat the oven for 10 minutes for most cooking tasks. The Outside of the oven becomes hot enough to melt plastic left on it while cooking, so only set metal on top of it (like its accessories).
