Orderd these to replace some aluminum based non-stick ones that were wearing out. I've converted all my fry and sauce pans to stainless steel they wear better and you don't have to worry about the aluminum leaching into your food while you cook. So far they work very well no sign of non-stick coating loss, and the heat transfer is excellent. They also have a nice sturdy feel to them. They are an excellent buy for the price highly recommended.

I have the Circulon Commercial set (Costco) at one house and I had to have another set for my other house (next a set for the motorhome!)I am spoiled...;-) The commercial set is now 8 years old and still works great.

I have had Farberwear (cheap, thin, too easy to damage) and All-Clad which I found to be a huge ripoff. The all clad non stick not only stuck to all foods, it had the worst heat distribution using a glass cooktop. Literally would take 15 mins to warm up on medium to fry an egg.

This stuff is heavyweight and the non stick works well. It cleans up good in the dishwasher too. The new set has nicer handles than the Commercial set.

After owning my old icky cheap cookware for over 15 years, I decided it was time to invest in something decent, and I was willing to pay some bucks for it. But what did I want? Stainless? Nonstick? Anodized? And I shopped everywhere: pampered chef, williams sonoma, bed bath & beyond, costco...etc.

I am not a chef and didn't think I could handle stainless. And I didn't think my husband could handle nonstick as he does the dishes and I frequently catch him scrubbing pots or putting them in the dishwasher.

So I called my sis in law (who is a great cook) and asked her opinion and she suggested these. Only $200? But that doesn't feel very prestigious to me! I was ready to spend like $1000 on cookware! Let me tell you, you don't need to!

Here's what I love about this cookware:

--grippy handles that stay (mostly) cool (I have a gas cooktop and so this was a big deal for me)

--because of that gas cooktop, this cookware heats very evenly in the saucepans, which for a novice like me was important.

--grippy handles on the lids

--see through lids

--EASY cleanup! I can't get anything to stick to these pans! Even with my worst disasters, a little hot soak and they're good to go!

--no discoloration, not for me so far anyway

I still can't believe I paid so little for this set when I almost bought a set that costs 3x this at another store. It's not as beautiful as stainless or copper, but it does exactly what I need it to do, which is cook food and clean up easily.

My sis in law had a lid crack from her set and circulon sent her a new pot/lid no questions asked.

I don't think you can go wrong with this set.

This set is truly non-stick,they cook very evenly. You can cook with out oil or butter, but I cook on low or medium and allow the pan to warm slowly. They are dishwasher safe but if you use them right they clean up easily. My only dislike is the frying pan set come with no lids that fit but I just use what ever is close in size..

Honest reviews on Circulon Premier Professional 11-Piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set

If you have always wanted something great to cook with, look no further. We have had this set for over 2 months now and enloy it more each time we use it. A friend has a set he got a a gift 10 years ago, he is a trained chef and he lets no one near his. his set came from Costco, ours thru Amazon. After reading all the reviews we opted for the Circulon Premier Professional as there were no negative write ups and justly so!!!! Spoil yourself. BUY A SET!! UNBELIEVABLE

I love, love, love this little contraption. I have a Black and Decker steamer, which works well too, but I can't stand the cleanup on those things. You have to take it apart, try and get all excess material out of the grid, try to wash the base without immersing the electrical cord...even with the metal in-basket steamers you come across the same messy cleanup involving two or three pieces and/or pots and pans. Which, I suppose, wouldn't be a problem for someone wanting to make several servings of steamed veggies, but when it's just you...you don't want the hassle. With this little steamer (which is about the same size as most cereal bowls) I can make individual portions of veggies in a matter of minutes in the microwave. Which is good because I like to shake it up a bit on my seasonings and this gives me the flexibility of making different flavors each time. I just sprinkle on the toppings before zapping the items. Cleanup is where it really, really shines. The slits in the plastic aren't as hard to clean as a grid or those metal steaming baskets that seem to trap everything in their folds. Just immerse in water and clean like a regular bowl. And with only a tablespoon or two of water added before cooking, there's less chance of "drowning" your food. Always a good thing. Can't say enough good things about this steamer.

I bought this for using at work to have a healthier

alternative to the cafeteria. It does the job and makes

the right amount of steamed vegetables for a single serving.

I'd estimate it takes at least about 1 1/2 cups raw veggies by

volume if not a little more. I followed the directions and

put inside the measured amount of recommended water, but now

I just turn on the faucet and put in what looks about the same

as the measured amount. I also reduce the power on the microwave to a medium high and follow the recommended minutes for the different veggies. I wrote on the bottom with a permanent ink pen the recommended times and water amount as a reminder for myself. After microwaving the directions say to keep the steamer closed for a few minutes. So far I've steamed broccoli/cauliflower/carrots and green beans in it with perfect results. Made in China

This is a great product, especially for a smaller family. I would have given it 5 stars but the directions are a little lacking. It has to have a fair amount of water in it (not just a couple of tablespoons) but it works very well.

Honest reviews on Progressive GMMC-46 Mini Microwave Steamer, 2-Cups

This is a great microwave personal size steamer. The steamer insert has an inside diameter of 5 inches and is 2 1/2 inches deep. It can hold about 8 ounces of carrot or zucchini slices, 2 mini-cobs of frozen corn, about 9 1/2 ounces of peas or chopped broccoli or spinach. You might be able to squeeze a little extra above the edge of the insert since the lid has a depth of 1 inch. As everyone says, it steams perfectly and clean up is a breeze.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Progressive GMMC-46 Mini Microwave Steamer, 2-Cups

I have had this steamer for one year and I use it several times per week for steaming vegetables in the microwave. It is a small steamer that only holds about a cup and a half of vegetables so it is perfect for two people. The water heats up very quickly so it typically steams the vegetables within three minutes. The steam basket comes out and it is easy to use as a small strainer for cleaning strawberries or raspberries. The best part about this steamer is that you can throw it right in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. I love this steamer and I would never go back to using a pot with boiling water.

The skillet is heavy and well-casted. It has broad pour spouts which are more realistic than the tiny pour spouts on similar sized skillets. The thickness and shape of the handle has no rival in today's cast iron skillet market. Even the old masters Wagner and Griswold didn't do nearly as good a job with their handles. It makes all the difference. With a substantial, well-formed handle, you can more easily pick-up and maneuver a heavier skillet. I've owned my skillet for about a year and it is now virtually non-stick. Why did I not give this product 5 stars? The pig iron used may not be of the highest quality and/or consistency. That said however, this is a most used skillet in my kitchen.

After much research looking for a 2.5 quart capacity sauce pan, located this one (and others with prices over $70!). Ordered this one because it sounded 'decent' for an everyday pan--

this pan is great--non stick coating is excellent. I have used this pan for over 6 months now and have NO complaints. Fair price, excellent functionality, even, quick heat-up, easy clean up. You can't do better in any way. I would definitely buy again.

I was looking for a three-quarter pot But couldn't find one So I ordered this 2.5 pot instead. I am so glad that I did This is the best pot I Have in my household. I just love this pot The nonstick is the best and I love the see-through top. I am always using this pot now. I would recommend this to anybody who wants a nonstick hot. I am going to order a Nother one.

After receiving this pan I thought it might not be good because it was fairly light, but after using it I really like this pan! The aluminum heats up quickly and cools quickly. The shape is unique, with the smaller bottom, and allows the food to come out easily. The non-stick coating is the best I have ever experienced. Search online for information about the Eterna coating and the Dry Egg Test. Another idea I like is the hole in the glass top, as it helps keep boiling liquids from bubbling up but keeps the heat in.

Great little pot, good for warming up soups or leftovers. Very lightweight but cooks well on medium heat or lower. Pretty color ans washing up is a breeze. Hope the non stick lasts.

I had a hard time deciding between this pot and the Cuisinart in the fifty dollar range. Couldn't really tell what the different was and figured that with nearly a twenty dollar difference in price, I'd try this one out first and if I didn't like it, I could always send it back. Happy to say that it has been used three times and I really love it. It feels very durable, yet is lightweight enough to pick up with one hand while full of liquid. I liked it so much, I just ordered another one. I have only hand-washed mine, so I cannot speak to how it holds up in the dishwasher. I suspect I will be ordering a third one very soon as all my old pots are about ready for donation.

While the price was very good, I was surprised, upon first use, when the inside bottom surface began to pit. I've used it several times, now, and the pitting has taken on a discolored appearance (black). I knew it wasn't burnt food, as I only boiled potatoes in it. It does not come clean. When I replace this pot, it won't be an Oneida.

Honest reviews on Oneida Stainless Steel Saucepans

Pot is of the same apparent quality of my cuisinart pots. Can't beat the price. Handle stays cool much longer than hollow handles of cheaper pots.

This has a great handle and lid, but wasn't as heavy as I had hoped. The extra mass holds and distributes heat better. This will do everything we ask, but I have a Duxtop tri-ply on order. We have been spoiled by a smaller Calphalon tri-ply purchased years ago at a very attractive price.

Bought for non-stick Wok. But use it for everything. Durable, does not stain, (even with tomato sauce).

Perfect for woking. When I recieved mine, the corner of the spatula was cracking so I had to peel back the crack and rub it on the corner of the table to dull it. Nothing that bad, just upsetting to buy something already messed up. Oh well. Excellent overall spat.

Best Deals for Joyce Chen 33-2048 Burnished Bamboo Angled Spatula, 14-Inch

I have to agree with another reviewer. The head of the spatula is too narrow for true wok cooking. I like the fact it is bamboo. The angle of the head is fine. The head should be at least an inch wider. I now use it when I boil pasta or anything else that need the bottom of the pot to be scraped while cooking...like congee.

Honest reviews on Joyce Chen 33-2048 Burnished Bamboo Angled Spatula, 14-Inch

Arrived with a splinter of wood on the side but that has not affected the function. It works well just not as thin as a metal tool but it won't scratch off the seasoning of the wok.

A few years ago I had purchased a bamboo angled spatual at World Market and absolutely loved it. It was sturdy and had a wide scraper area and best of all, it was like 3 bucks. Due to the material of bamboo, they have a tendency to wear down after long use moreso than rubber or metal, and when I went to replace mine I was frustrated to find that not only did World Market no longer carry it, I couldn't find one anywhere in stores or online. I came upon this one and thought I had finally found it, however upon arrival I compared the two and this one is almost half smaller in the scoop, which works but not anywhere near as handy as the width of my old one when scooping around in a big wok of food. My old one was probaly over 4" scoop width and this one is maybe around 2.5-3". Anyone who does much wok cooking knows the value in having a wide scoop. It works-I just like my old one better.

Bought two of these few yrs ago. While this one is good it is lighter in weight than the others. Very serviceable & I do recommend it.

I love these pots, but the lids are beginning to rust where the glass meets the metal. That's not really a big deal to me, but this shouldn't be happening. The pots are quick to heat and easy to clean. They are not too heavy to handle either. I would buy these again.

I bought two sizes, and so far, they perform well. Double clad on bottom, should be the norm. Would recomend. And they have ergonomic perfect handles, unlike painful broomstick handles on so many other ss pans. They look super, too. However, I believe they are no longer made. :/

The handles do not conduct heat and are safe to handle while cooking. This cookware is suitable for cooking on gas, electric and glass-ceramic cooktops.

It not common to get most of what you need for basic cooking needs, but this Paula Deen set will be nearly complete. Every piece for today's kitchen is featured in durable aluminum construction that heats quickly and evenly. That's what I like about this cookware no hot spots and burnt food.

The cookware set's long-lasting nonstick interiors provide excellent food release in a satin ivory finish that offers a unique alternative to traditional black nonstick. This is heavy cookware that can take on a lot of cooking chores. Make breakfast in the skillets, cook up Paula's Onion Relish in one of the saucepans and use the large stockpot for your family's favorite soups and stews. Most of the time the nonstick release require a quick clean-up with a mild dish soap and water.

With this Paula Deen Savannah Collection 17-Piece Cookware Set with Bakeware, the kitchen is ready and set for your next great snack, meal, or baked treat, with a bunch of help from Paula. There are a few extras that I'd include to make my kitchen cooking complete. I would add cast iron skillets of various sizes and stockpots greater tan 6 quarts. Also, lids are essential to keep in moisture and nutrients. So, I'd add an 8 and 10-Inch set of lids to complete this set.

Cleaning:

Standard Care, all cookware, before first use and after each use, wash pans thoroughly with mild dishwashing detergent and warm water. If food remains on the surface, boil a mixture of water and vinegar into the pan to dislodge the food particles. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program OK, I am a bachelor, I live alone with the cat. OTOH, I am actually a fair hand in the kitchen. However, my pots and pans are a collection of thriftshop bargains and hand-me-downs, no two of which match, and several of which aren't in very good shape.

So, when I had a chance to get this cool new cookware set from the famed KitchenAid folks, I jumped on it.

And, I am glad I did. This is a pretty "cool" set (and "cool" has a double-meaning here). Each piece is well crafted and solid. No thin cheapo stuff here.

You get two saucepans, a stockpot and a sauté panall with good solid glass covers with the neatest silicon rubber seals I have seen. And, two fry pans.

The glass covers allow you to watch your food, while sealing in the heat and steam when needed. They also don't rattle.

They also come with a silicon rubber pad under the heavy handle. This means that a heavy pot doesn't cut into your hand when lifting, it decreases fatigue. It also protected my hand from getting burnt when I forgot the potholderNICE! That's the other "cool" part.

(Still, one should always use hand protection anyway. "Important safety tip. Thanks, Egon.").

They also clean up just fine, just about as well as "non-stick". Just a spritz of oil spray and they were spotless with little effort. I even "torture tested" one, leaving stuff overnite and it still cleaned up spotless.

Now, in this paean of praise, I do want to say one thingI still like my old inherited cast iron frypan (It's older than I am!). I think it does a better job even than these stainless steel & aluminum marvels for certain fry jobs, like steaks (And I do like a good steak!). But of course, seasoning and maintaining good cast iron is a long term process, and not for everyone. However, for me, for this set, I would have preferred one more saucepan and one less frypan.

Gorgeous set, perfect for as a giftwedding, housewarming or that bachelor you may know.

I have dropped off all my old stuff to the Salvation Army folks.... except my cast iron, of course!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program We were really excited to get this set.

Unpacking them, we thought these will be great to use:

The handles are sturdy and easy to grip

The handles have hard-rubber like material underneath that make them easy to grab and not so hot

The steel is brilliant and the finishing fantastic

The thickness of the metal makes them feel high class and very sturdy

The problem...

We were cooking some vegetables and put the lid on the skillet. Not an uncommon thing to do, but when we checked the pot, the lid was stuck!

It wasn't that easy to work with when the pan was so hot, so we let it cool thinking that the pan and the lid would come unstuck. Nope.

Big problem, we were going out of town the next day. So not only did we not have the food we cooked, we had to put the pan in the fridge to try to work on it when we got back from our trip.

This was not a good way to get going with the set.

Even when the pan was completely cooled, we couldn't get the lid off. We tried running it under cold water, hot water, we were pulling very hard to try to get the lid off, and no go.

Finally after getting back from our trip, we were able to fit the edge of a spoon between the rubber part of the lid and the pan and pry the lid off.

Whew. We'd be careful to not let that happen again...right?

Well, it happened again with one of the pots and the lid. The lid got stuck and wouldn't come off and we were trying to watch for to prevent it from happening!

The trick to getting the pans and lids unstuck, in case it happens to you, is to get the edge of a sturdy spoon, and to place it at the rubber part of the lid just over the handle of the pot, then you can use the pot's handle for leverage to pop the top off.

It wouldn't be such a big deal, but these are very nice cookware pieces. You'd think that this sort of thing would have been tested for.

So if lids suctioned to their pans is something you don't mind, go for. If not, get ready to pump some iron, er, steel.

Best Deals for KitchenAid Gourmet Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I couldn't be more pleased with this cook set. As I continue to use it I will update this review. There are a couple other sets out there that are close competition so I wanted to be clear on what makes this set different for me. I'm a single guy who doesn't always cook daily, but is not afraid to tackle "advanced" cooking techniques and real homemade from scratch food when I get the urge. I want to give a complete review so you understand what kind of cooking I do and how I use the cookware to best understand if it may fit your needs.

My background with cookware:

I'm normally a Farberware and T-Fal user, not the cheapest, not the most expensive and I've been eyeing upgrading my essential cookware for some time. Specifically-as my cooking skills advance I could use pans that can also go in the oven-which my current T Fal and Farberware cannot. Doing dicing in the pan is a no-go on the nonstick surfaces (I've ruined some, knowing I shouldn't do it, but needing to), so the French skillets in stainless in this kit was very welcomed.

What you get:

The description is accurate on "what & how many", but I wanted to outline the experience. From opening the box I was struck by the beauty of this cookware-very visually appealing, and could easily be displayed in your kitchen. If you have no option than to hang pans, these look really really nice. It's all very thick and durable, but at the same time does not feel too heavy at all. The weight seems just right, and well balanced from side to side. Even from sight, a pan on pan comparison left me ready to donate my old cookware for this set. Of course I didn't, and will continue to use th new set to see how well I like it.

The aluminum disc in the bottom of the pans is really a step up from what I'm used to (I attached a picture)-quite thick, and does do a great job of even heating. The handles and lids have silicone rubber seals and grips, which not only looks but feels premium and keeps the lid from "rattling" during heavy boils. Looking back, the T-Fal and Farberware were quite basic with hard plastic handles and lid handles that couldn't go in the oven. I guess you don't know what you're missing until you've experienced better!

The handles are extremely comfortable to use (picture attached), and I hadn't realized how this would make a difference over what I am using currently. The curve evenly distributes the weight of the pan across the whole palm of your hand as you grip it, as opposed to my current T-Fal which puts most of the weight at one end of your hand due to the straight through construction. With a straight handle you pick your shoulder up in the air so your hand accommodates the handle, instead of the handle accommodating to you. Very appreciated and easily overlooked feature.

The sauce pan and stock pan are wide topped to make it easy for in-pan whisking, as well as quicker reductions. I believe the kit calls this "windsor shape" which I wasn't familiar with.

Cleanup has been great so far, and as a kit you can fit every piece in a standard sized dishwasher in one washing (picture attached). I always say the real test of a pan is how well it cleans up when something gets a bit burnt on, or potatoes fog up the bottom of a stock pot. Neither has happened to me yet, so I'll have to report back in after that happens.

Comparison to other close matched 10 piece kits Amazon sells:

The Cuisinart 77 kit is 10 piece also, and can go 150 degrees higher in the oven, but does not have silicone grips or lid seals and windsor leans.

The Farberware Classic set is similar 10 piece, and is essentially what I own. The non stick pans scrape easily, handles are hard and can only oven to 350 degrees. Pans are thinner and lids rattle.

The Cuisinart Chef kit is well rated, but doesn't have premium handles, as deep of a frying pan, or rattle free lids.

The Rachel Ray kit is really nice, but hand washing is recommended. Major bummer in my book.

Warranty & Value:

The warranty with this kit is similar to others-to your door replacement first year, and send in for a similar replacement for life. A normal expectation with premium cookware. An interesting bit of research I did-the instruction and warranty envelope said "Thank you for purchasing Meyer Gourmet Cookware". Meyer Manufacturing makes Anolon brand cookware, which, if you compare, would yield this to be the best value Anolon cookware set available!

In summary, I've been pleased with the set and some premium features it includes over my existing collection of cookware. It looks nice, cooks well and cleans up well. It would make a great kit for the aspiring cook, for your first set of cookware if the price is ok for you, as a gift, or for someone who really needs to replace several items in your cookware collection. Of course if you're a professional chef, you'll probably prefer to build your cookware set piece by piece, but if you're in the market for a really nice set, I couldn't recommend any other options more than this one.

*I've attached several photos that have additional comments beyond the review.

Update 1: After some use, two new discoveries: The large stock pot and the skillets use the same size lids, so that's one less "trial" you have to do when reaching for one plus a lid. On the downside, the "tops" of the metal handles don't stay as cool as I want, and actually can get pretty hot. The normal grip of a lid is around the handle, so you have to learn to lift with the flat part of your hand and not grip around it. I disliked this feature enough that I docked it a star, down to 4 stars.

Update 2: Some more weeks in, I've had some food stick and it washed right away... no stains, no problems. Still just as pleased as I was originally. After update 1 above, I've mad just a tiny adjustment to how I grab the lids, and it's proven no problem again at all. I've left the review at 4 stars instead of 5 because I'd suggest a design modification for the handle style but other than that I'm still far more pleased with this kit than the Farberware stuff I had before.

Honest reviews on KitchenAid Gourmet Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM) Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This KitchenAid Gourmet Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set is a good solid product and a good value for what you get. Over the past year I have evaluated a lot of cookware and used pots and pans from 3 new cookware sets. Good cookware is a big investment. While this set is reasonable, it will be worth it for some people to invest a little more on an alternative.

PROS:

++ Good value for a stainless steel set

++ Variety of pots allow you to prepare many types of meals

++ Glass lids allow you to monitor your food without slowing down the cooking

++ Handle grips are cushioned to add some comfort when moving skillets or pots

++ Skillets have high walls for splatter or for turning omelets

++ Riveted handles provide greater strength and durability than the screws used in many entry level sets

++ Saucepans are functional

++ Awesome oversized stock pot is great for stews and soups

++ Non-stick surface heats up quickly and cleans easily, though clad performs better

++ Warrantee allows for free replacement within the first year

++ After the first year, you have to send in the cookware at your own expense if it fails

CONS:

-Does not specify the grade of stainless steel, which means it's likely not 18/10

-Thick aluminum core bases add a lot of weight

-For a little more, an entry level clad set offers much more in terms of quality and features

-Alternatives have metal lids instead of silicone ringed glass (could be a positive if you like this feature)

-Skillets are on the smaller side, limiting functionality

-While functional, saucepans are on the smaller side as well

-Pan walls are on the thin side

-Touted as "dishwasher safe," but the fine-print states dishwasher use voids the warrantee

-Many other warrantee limitations, so read carefully before first use

-Also touted as "oven-safe" though I advise against this (low heat rating, handle grips, etc.)

PERFORMANCE VS PRODUCT CLAIMS

Only a quick clean-up was required before the initial use. I found that cleaning up the pots and pans took longer after each use than my clad cookware. But the pans all heated up evenly, if a little slowly. One other note about this product is that despite the product description, plan to clean every piece by hand if you don't want to void your warrantee. While the set is technically "dishwasher safe," the fine-print on the included pamphlet states in no uncertain terms that they are not responsible for damage caused by dishwashers.

The skillets worked well, though the 8.5 inch skillet is a little small for my use. Even the 10 inch is about the smallest I would ideally use. An ideal set would include one 10 inch skillet and one 12 inch. The 8 inch is good for preparing single portions at a time, and is certainly good enough for omelets or small portions of pan seared meats. But I try to make as many meals using single pans, which is why I would tend towards larger skillets. Just one note: the product description includes the claim that these are perfect for making crepes. If anybody has the skill to make a decent crepe in a skillet, I bow down to you.

The large stock pot is really the nicest pot in this set. It's normal for sets to include slightly smaller stock pots, and the added size means this will be immediately useful as an addition to my many different pots. It's not oversized, but this is a great size for stews and soups.

THE ALTERNATIVES

This set is aluminum core cookware, which is why there are thick disks at the base of each piece. That helps them to heat evenly, but it also adds a lot of weight.

There are many advantages to a fully clad set such as the Cuisinart MCP-12 MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set I've been using over the past 6 months. Clad cookware heats up much quicker, has a higher temperature threshold, and is lighter to use. It's also a little bit easier to clean, though that distinction only shows up over long term use. The Cuisinart 77-10 Chef's Classic Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set or Cuisinart 77-17 Chef's Classic Stainless 17-Piece Cookware Set are also worth consideration, though I don't own that version.

Also, there is bound to be some concern about leaching from the silicone rings on the glass tops. I am not super concerned about that, as this material has come a long way. There is tons of silicone bake-ware that has to withstand much higher temperatures than this set. Still, Kitchen Aid has a number of similar sets that have metal rimmed glass or stainless steel lids. The KitchenAid Gourmet Distinctions Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set, KitchenAid 75826 Gourmet Essentials 10-Piece Brushed Stainless Steel Cookware Set and KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set all deserve consideration. I would definitely review them if that is an issue for you.

CONCLUSION

If you are looking for a gift for a housewarming or a young graduate getting their first apartment, this has to be high on the list of sets to be considered. But if you are looking for yourself and this is your first foray into stainless steel cookware, you may want to evaluate your options. Paying a little more now can help you avoid having to buy another set in the future. The Cuisinart Multiclad Pro is my favorite.

Happy shopping.

I didn't buy this set on amazon. As others have noted, the lids can stick due to the formation of a vacuum. A reviewer even had a lid shatter, but another counters that it only happens if a pot lid is used on a frying pan. NOT SO! If cooking pasta in any of the pans with a lid, the water can foam up. To avoid a boil-over, I took the pan off the stove and it instantly cooled forming a vacuum preventing the lid from being removed! I pryed the lid off with a screwdriver and placed the lid on the counter and instantly the lid is vacuum-locked onto the counter! Yikes! Not only is this super annoying, it can be dangerous. The distracted cook could pull hard causing a spill of hot liquid.

Update Partial Solution:

I love the set otherwise and would give it 5 stars, but this is a major issue. Kitchen-Aid could have a steam hole in the lid as does T-Fal. If you are handy, there is a homemade solution to modify the rubber lid edge. The rubber is easily cut with a razor, but this will leave an ugly cut mark. Instead, take a wood dowel and wrap with 150 grit sandpaper.

1. Prevent lid from sticking to the counter. Observe where the lid contacts the counter top. Abrade a small section removing about 1/16 inch. Check by placing the lid on the counter to see if there is now a small opening to allow air in. The result is invisible.

2. Prevent the lid from sticking to the pan. Observe where the lid touches the pan edge. Using the sandpaper abrade a small depression in the rubber at that point. This a little more awkward, but can be done with patience. The result is almost invisible.

3. Although the same process can be used to prevent the lids from sticking to the frying pans, a larger cut is necessary which will be easily visible. Or just remember to not use the lids there.

Its made for cooking or it wouldnt have the brand name on it, its worth the purchase you get a sturdy cake mode and alot with it you get a proper storage case or carrying case for it, you cant go wrong, I use it all the time, and its still holding strong, worth it, when baking its worth investing in your molds and carrying cases especially if you use them alot

The bundt pan is a little smaller than I expected. It's smaller in diameter than a traditional buntd pan, but I like the shape and the wavy pattern better than the standard bundt pan shape by Nordicware. The carrier is the perfect size for this pan and it mimics the shape of the pan. Overall I am pleased with it. I purchased it from Amazon.

At first I loved the Zyliss Mix-N-Measure Stackable Measuring Cup Set with Lid. It's attractive, it stacks, it pours well, and it's light weight. I have not used the lid, however I appreciate the inclusion as it would be useful for some people I'm sure. Now that I've had the set about six month, I am noticing that the red lettering (which is a little hard to see anyway) is wearing off. Up until now, my biggest complaint would be the red lettering. But I can see that the set will eventually be useless as far as accurate measuring is concerned. I'm very disappointed as I looked around a long time before choosing this set, which was not inexpensive. Also be aware that it cannot be washed in the dishwasher, nor can it go into a microwave. Needing to handwash was okay with me, but the microwave restriction was limiting.

I love these measuring cups! They nest perfectly and take up little space in the cupboards. They perform as advertised and make it easy to read the amount of liquid in the cup, while the cup is sitting on the counter. No more having to wait for liquid to settle down and level while you hold the cup in the air.

I bought these because I wanted a liquid measuring cup larger than 2 cups and the stacking ability appealed to me.

First it is a little strange to be able to peer down into the cup and see the measurement. The plus is that it is on the side as well.

The lid only fits the 4 cup measurer which for me was the cup I have used the least.

The most upsetting aspect of these cups is that the red writing has not held up. I have never washed them in the dishwasher and yet the writing on the most frequently used 1 cup measurer is now illegible which has made it useless for measure.

After this experience, I have decided that glass still makes the best liquid measuring cups.

Do not waste your money on this product.

Honest reviews on Zyliss Mix-n-Measure Set with Lid

I like Zyliss products. We have the garlic press, pizza cutter, chip clips, etc. But these measuring cups haven't held up. They're not microwave-safe, which is fine. But they do claim to be dishwasher safe. But after less than a year of regular use, the measurements are wearing off the cups. And apparently this isn't because we put them in the dishwasher, because another reviewer, who hand-washes his, is having the same problem. I'm disappointed. I've used both Pyrex and Anchor-Hocking glass measuring cups without a problem for years. They're not stackable, but they are microwave-safe, and the lettering has never worn off. Back to glass for me.

I did a lot of research on measuring cups first. I didn't want glass ones--too heavy and they can break. I didn't want cheap plastic ones either--they discolor and don't hold up. These Zyllis cups are perfect. You get 3 different sizes which nest together for easy storage. They are easy to read and made of high quality material. The handle design makes them easy and comfortable to use. They are also bright red which matches all my kitchen accessories. The only place I found them was on Amazon.com. I am really pleased with these measuring cups and would recommend them to anyone.

This pan is made in China. I was dissapointed to see that as I had purchased this thinking it was made in the USA. Turns out there aer a couple of companies using the regal name. So, be careful. It is a very nice pan though. An especially good value. Comapre to the Williams Sonoma Al Clad stuff at over twice the price. Good and heavy. The first thing I noticed was that I could keep a simmer at a much lower heat setting. That tells me the heat is being distributed effectively. Cleans up well. Some pans this capacity have the extra handle. That would be a nice addition when it is full. It gets heavy. Makes it harder to fit in the dishwasher though.

I just received this skillet as a gift and am delighted with it. Before, I was always burning butter, omelets, pancackes because the skillet would continue to warm up after I started cooking on my electric stove (yes, I always turn down the temp a little after I start cooking). It was just too hard to tell how hot the skillet was until the food started burning. No problem with this guy you can watch the skillet temperature rise and fall as you warm it up, add ingredients, or simmer. I liked this so much I ordered the 28cm version tonight.

The electronics use a standard AAA battery in the handle and it is easy to replace. I was a little worried about how heat might damage the battery, but found that as long as you put the skillet on a burner that's sized for the skillet, the handle stays comfortably cool. Heat spreads very evenly across the bottom.

Pros: Very simple to use. Easy to remove the temperature module for washing, dishwasher safe, the display has large, easy to read numbers, the temperature sensor responds very quickly to changes in skillet temperature, the display tells you the ideal temperature for 11 common foods, an alarm will beep if the temperature gets too hot for what you're cooking, and the walls of the skillet are nice and high, and the skillet, while sturdy, is not too heavy. The instructions are clear, although you hardly need them for basic operation. Lastly, because food isn't over-cooked, the skillet is easier to clean.

Cons: It would be nice to disable the over-temperature beeper if you know you will be watching the food cook. There was a clear piece of protective shipping plastic I didn't notice on the underside of the handle when I cooked the first time. It shriveled, but didn't burn or stick to the skillet or cause any damage, so just make sure you remove it when you unpack your skillet.

The 20cm (8") version is for cooking smaller items. If this is your first Admetior, consider the 24cm (9.5")or 28cm (11") size, which don't cost much more.

One of the greatest inventions. Makes it easy to cook food at the right temperature. Keeps you from overcooking and damaging the non stick coating which can be damaged by high temperatures.
