The lid was the quality expected from Berndes and it fits other 9.5 inch items that I have. I was hoping it would fit the crepe pan; however, it is slightly to big to fit properly. S&H was high and out of line with similar size and weight items I have purchased. I will try to limit my purchases to items sold by Amazon to make use of Amazon Prime (best deal since sliced bread)

I bought this pay because I like Kitchenaid product and for now I like this pan. It is a good size pan about 12" acrossed the bottem with a 3" deep side. With two easy grip handles. I have only had this pan for a few months. It had paid for it self in those few month. Love the coating on the inside of this pan. Need very little oil to cook with.

The 'orginal' rubber seal on the cooker had cooked its last roast. The rubber seal was shot, and would not maintain a seal when cooking. My first thought was to throw away this rather old cooker, but thought I'd try to find a replacement seal. A few key strokes and checking the model number on the cooker, to what Amazon had on screen, and I was ordering a new seal. The wait time was less than expected and we had the new one "in hand" before the next Sunday's dinner.

Now putting it ON was a challenge. Of course I cleaned the lid of the cooker, making sure it was completely clear of any of the "old" rubber seal.

Next installing the new seal. You ever try to put a 15" tire on a 14" rim. That's what it was like. AS I would work the seal into the groove in the lid, the last inch or so would move away from where I was working. After a lot of effort, maybe a little cussing, and lot of frustration, I was ready to send this darn seal back to from where it came from.

One more effort, first: went to the work shop and brought back a couple clamps. Put the 1st clamp at the last point I'd worked the seal to, and secured it. Placed the second clamp at the other end of the bulging seal and clamped it. Then I tried to squeeze the bulge into the lid. After several more attempts, I realized that I had to allow the seal to "back up" as it was being installed. Sprayed some cooking oil on the lid, reinserted the seal and used only 1 clamp and it (seal) FINALLY went into place.

I immediately put the lid on the "pot" and twisted the lid into "lock position". Then set down and had a cup of coffee. Whew! No, it wasn't easy to install, but dinner that Sunday was worth the effort.

This is a good-sized pan. It comes with a nice lid that seals if desired (using steam to form the seal).

It heats evenly, and stays very warm even after sitting away from the burner for a while.

The quality of the stainless steel is great and the pot is easy to clean in that it is stainless steel.

But, it does have its flaws. The negatives have to do with the rivets, especially on the lid, which are large to the point of absurdity, especially for a pan of this size. I was raised with riveted pots and pans, and the rivets were never an intrusion back then.

The lid's rivets make it more difficult to clean. The way they're attached on the outside is sloppy, and unnecessarily bulky. They stick up, and catch on sponges and cloths. This irritates me no end.

This is not a cruel and unusual complaint, but a statement of fact. I am surprised that a company like Cuisinart would be so careless in design. I own another item from a different line of theirs, the Everyday line, and it's the best pot I've ever owned, and that includes my Le Creuset ware.

If it were the only pot available in this size and quality of material, I would buy it again...just because it's hard to find a one and a half-quart saucepan with a lid, for some unknown reason. There are myriad one-quart pans available all over the place.

The price is fabulous! Really fabulous!

Postscript to this comment: I use this saucepan nearly daily. I actually have come to like it very much. If I could rate it again, it would get a four. If it weren't for the annoying rivets, it would be a five star item. The overall quality is unquestionably excellent.

Cuisinart Classic Stainless is the next best thing to All-Clad that you can get according to Cook's Illustrated (makers of the PBS show America's Test Kitchen). They're very beautiful, shiny, heavy, and best of all---they perform wonderfully. They hold a simmer very well, and my food doesn't burn.

Most of the Cuisinart Classic Stainless pots and pans go for WELL OVER $100 EACH at stores like Bed, Bath, and Beyond as well as Linens 'n Things. Buy these at Amazon! I was delighted to see most prices from Amazon were between $20-40 instead of $120-150 at the other stores. Then consider no tax, no shipping costs.... what a bargain!

I have just about every piece in this line and I love it..the pans all cook evenly and with less heat than any other cookware I've used. Keeping it shiny and beautiful is easy..just follow the instructions that come with it. A little bit of white vinegar after washing keeps it sparkling. I don't have a dishwasher and it's easy to clean. The ONLY drawback is that you have to use a towel of pot holder to lift the lid when they're on the stovetop because they get hot. I've recommended it to friends and they love it, too. You can go from stove to oventop. It's very versatile. Buy it! You can't beat this price.

I'm really glad to have replaced my non-stick with the Cuisinart pans. I have been increasingly concerned about the safety of non-stick. I was really scared that they would stick and I would have to scrub them, but they've been really good so far. I'm not crazy about the hazy look that the bottoms get inside, but I know it's because I cook on med-high heat and I need to get some Barkeeper's friend. Overall, really pleased with this purchase, and I'm still adding to my set.

Like the Chef's Classic set I'd bought from Cuisinart through amazon.com, this is a BEAUTIFULLY made piece of cookware with a snug-fitting lid. The bottom is thicker than the walls. It's so beautiful out of the box you hate to use it! But when you get around to breaking it in, you'll find that the heat transfer is fast and EVEN. The snug-fitting lid is a genuine delight, after a lifetime of using crappy cookware I realize what I've been missing. If you love to cook, this saucepan will put a BIG smile on your face! This has worked very well for filleting Chinook (King) salmon and Dolly Varden -takes and holds a nice edge, balances well; perfect blade shape for filleting large or small fish. If you aren't in the habit of keeping a sharpening steel handy, the included little sharpening tool works well, too. Insert knife into sheath carefully as the blade is thin and flexible and can slip between leather and liner. As ever, I suggest a mesh protective glove if you are doing lots of fish or are particularly tired or a bit of a klutz like me.

I am dating a chef at a fine dining seafood and steak restaurant and he had mentioned that he needed a fillet knife so I got on line and with the help of these great reviews I chose this one. He was very surprised and happy when it shipped to the restaurant. He said that I could not have done any better, that guys he has worked with would try and carve their knifes to look like this one. It is a very sexy knife and gets right under the skin. This knife is definately made with quality and balance in mind. It is very comfy in the hand and very flexible for even the most delicate fish. This knife is super sharp and one should respect that, if you are accident prone I would recommend some fillet gloves. I have bought $20 fillet knives all my life, but they just don't last. I purchased this based on the photo and description of product. You cannot tell on the photo but there is a sizable handle on one side. The description states it is 12" so it should have fit in my Convection oven but it does not. The label says it is 12.25" and when I measured it actually comes up to 13" which will not fit in my convection oven. A little tired with Amazon telling me to drop off another box at a ups drop off box which is in a completely different town because of incorrect descriptions. The size should have been better noted so it wouldn't have been ordered in the first place.

This steamer insert fits my 4 quart Cuisinart saucepan really well. It's not perfect and does lose a bit of steam between the pot lip and the steamer, but that's to be expected since it's a universal insert. I like that it has two loops instead of one long handle like many of the others. The loop handles aren't very big, so they can be a bit difficult to hold if you have thick oven mitts on. It is not as thick and heavy as the Calphalon insert I've had for my Calphalon pans, but a lighter insert can be a good thing. I haven't had any issues with denting, though I've only had this for 2 months. Please note that it does not come with a lid.

I measured the closed bottom max width as 5 3/8 inches. It stands on three 7/8 inch long legs. These dimensions mean it will fit about any pot with a top rim diameter opening of 5 and 1/2 inches.

The center post and ring have not yet been too hot for me to lift the steamer from a pot. I then fold out the sides so I can slide off the steamed vegetables into whatever dish I'm preparing. This item replaced a Black and Decker steamer. The capacity of which I no longer needed, particularly it's rice cooking ability, having bought a separate unit for that.

This collapsible steamer has made kitchen life easier for this live-alone grandpa.

This steamer works GREAT in small & large saucepots or in fry pans/skillets. Only a small amount of the liquid of your choice is needed to steam all your favorite vegetables, shrimp, clams, etc.

The ring on the post in the middle of the basket is especially helpful for lifting the steamer out of the cooking pot. However, the ring & post are removable for items needing more room, like corn on the cob or whole heads of cauliflower. The steamer folds compactly for easy storage. I use mine frequently and it still looks new after 20 years.

I never had a dutch oven before and now I don't know how I lived without it. I use it stovetop to make my tomato sauce, in the oven to make brisket, etc.It's a perfect size for my family dinners. The cleanup on the pot is so easy. Even after baking in the oven for hours, I could just wipe out the inside and it would be clean. Using the mitts are essential though, it gets very hot.

I have many All-Clad products including a set of the original anodized aluminum over stainless steel that is still in very good shape. Quality is usually extraordinary.

This Dutch Oven cooks evenly and heats up quickly. Purchasers should realize that it has integral aluminum handles that heat up which means that you must use the included oven mitts.

This is the only non-stick pot that I own (which is why I purchased it). The coating is inside and outside for easy cleaning. I loved it for three months. Then I noticed a very small area on the inside bottom where the non-stick coating had worn off. Three months later and the worn area is spreading like a rash. This in spite of the fact that I have been exceptionally careful. No metal has ever been anywhere near the inside of the pot (only nylon utensils) and I have cleaned this exclusively with a sponge. No harsh cleansers.

This is disappointing because it is such a great pot, particularly for the money.

I am a big lover of LeCreuset and have many of their pots I also have many All Clad pots. When I saw this pot on SurLa Table for 39.99 free shipping I thought I'd give it a try. I was leary when I got it very light and wondered how it would compete with the cast iron. Yesterday, I made pot roast INCREDIBLE results. Today, pulled pork in the oven same incredible results. The pot is light, non-stick, cleans easily and very very nicely priced. Don't have to kill myself lugging the huge LeCreuset anymore for small roasts this will be my go-to pot. Going to order another now for my sister-in-law who just had her kitchen remodeled. Highly highly recommend.

For the price it's OK. The product looks just as it does in the photos. It's described as heavy duty aluminum, but that's not how I would describe it. If your looking for a cheap set that you don't plan on using much, this set should be fine. I was looking for something the kids could use throughout scouting and feel like this set may last a few summers at best.

I have not used this bakeware but I know I will enjoy this for a long time. The handles are big enough for my hands. If you have big hands, they maybe too small for you to grab.
