My All-Clad pans have long handles that stay cool, but the small lid handles get hot. These rubber gadgets fit tightly over those lid handles (and small side handles on stock pots) and allow you to handle them without potholders. While you can take the covers off for use on other lids, it's better to have several and just leave them on all the time. They happily travel through the dishwasher still attached to the handle and don't have to be removed at all.

I found myself using the same two lids all the time because they had these cool touch handle covers on them, but finally decided what I really needed to do was get more. I had to do some searching, but finally found them. I can't recommend them highly enough.

These probably would cost $2 if you found them in a dollar store, but I don't get out much and added them to an order that qualified for free shipping.

They will fit handles from about 3/8" to 5/8". they aren't any good for 1/4" wire-like pot lids or side handles.

They are just the ticket for all-clad type pot lids and handles. I use them on a tri-ply Tremontina stock pot.

Simple things these rubber covers yet I love them because hot side handles and hot lids are a big thing when I'm cooking and have lost my pot holders in the mess I just created or when I can't seem to find my pot holders even when they are in plain sight. These covers are not flimsy and you just slide them on they stay put and you just leave them on and forget them just wash the pots and lids by hand like normal. The only thing wrong with these covers for meis that they are too big or my pot handles and lid handles are smaller than normal. I am okay with this because they still do the job I'm just glad not to burn my hand or food. I plan on buying more of these as they come 3 to a package.

It is an good idea, and I am glad I found these covers, but unfortunatly they do not fit propper and move around my stanless steel lid handles, even when I have a tight grip on them. I have to be very careful that the lid do not flip on me, and still burn me. I wish they would fit tigher.

The 'orginal' rubber seal on the cooker had cooked its last roast. The rubber seal was shot, and would not maintain a seal when cooking. My first thought was to throw away this rather old cooker, but thought I'd try to find a replacement seal. A few key strokes and checking the model number on the cooker, to what Amazon had on screen, and I was ordering a new seal. The wait time was less than expected and we had the new one "in hand" before the next Sunday's dinner.

Now putting it ON was a challenge. Of course I cleaned the lid of the cooker, making sure it was completely clear of any of the "old" rubber seal.

Next installing the new seal. You ever try to put a 15" tire on a 14" rim. That's what it was like. AS I would work the seal into the groove in the lid, the last inch or so would move away from where I was working. After a lot of effort, maybe a little cussing, and lot of frustration, I was ready to send this darn seal back to from where it came from.

One more effort, first: went to the work shop and brought back a couple clamps. Put the 1st clamp at the last point I'd worked the seal to, and secured it. Placed the second clamp at the other end of the bulging seal and clamped it. Then I tried to squeeze the bulge into the lid. After several more attempts, I realized that I had to allow the seal to "back up" as it was being installed. Sprayed some cooking oil on the lid, reinserted the seal and used only 1 clamp and it (seal) FINALLY went into place.

I immediately put the lid on the "pot" and twisted the lid into "lock position". Then set down and had a cup of coffee. Whew! No, it wasn't easy to install, but dinner that Sunday was worth the effort.

Our daughter loves to watch the Food Channel and she wants to have her own restaurant when she grows up! She really wanted a chef's hat, and had asked for months. We finally saw this set and got it for her birthday. She absolutely loves it.

The apron can fit must kids probably up to 5' tall. The mit is like a real oven mit. You could really use it on hot items. The only thing I don't like about the set is the hat. The hat is meant for a small head. While the apron will fit your little chef for years to come, the hat will not.

From the time we got it, we had to really stretch to try to make this hat fit her head. I am not Suzy Homemaker and am not very creative with rigging things. I'm sure you could get creative and sew some elastic or velcro on the back to make this hat fit your child as their head gets bigger. However,I have yet to be that creative.

Other than the hat issue, we love this apron set. I would recommend it, but letting you know about the hat ahead of time, so as to let you make an informed decision.

Well made and solid. It does have a tendency to list a bit (off balance) when lifted by the handle (assuming you could, in fact, lift it when full).

This works great on open fires, grill, gas and electric burners, and especially our induction cooktop. I can cook corn on the cob for a whole party (and have on numerous occasions). Its great for gobs of chili too.

Haven't used it for deep frying. Too much oil to fill it (i.e., haven't had the need yet).

This would be a great product, if you can actually get one UNDAMAGED from Amazon. I received the first pot, with a small crack in the lid, so I requested a replacement from Amazon (Ohh and the first pot had been returned and re-sent to about a half dozen people, as indicated by the half dozen different UPS labels all over the box.. Beware of Amazon resending damaged goods!)

The second pot came in, RUSTED and with a HUGE crack down the entire side. OK, Amazon, get a clue. Obviously the thin cardboard box these 50lb pots come in is NOT enough padding to prevent shipping damage.

You can get these same pots for the same price from Target or Home Depot, so maybe I'll try there since all Amazon would do is refund my money after pot #2 came in damaged..

These pots are not pre-seasoned, which is a bit of a pain (and hence, my 2nd pot came in with lots of rust.)

And, Amazon, re-shipping damaged goods to other people, hoping they won't notice the "small" crack, is really unethical.. Buyer beware of Amazon :< I never realized they would do something like that, and it really dropped my opinion of Amazon.

This is great heavy duty pot for a very low price. I've used it so far to cook a pineapple upside down cake on coals and stew. It worked very well, even without the usual camping legs. This made in China pot has many minor pits and defects in the cooking surface but cooks well after two rounds of seasoning.

Here are a few minor issues I had with the pot that caused me to give it 4 stars. The lid has a loop handle that is really set up for a lid lifter. Removing the lid with a pot holder is risky, since the lid is so very heavy. The pot comes coated with wax to prevent rusting in shipment. It is very hard to fully get the wax off, requiring several cycles of heating and soapy rinse. The thin wire handles are the only secure way to lift the pot when full but its awkward and painful.

The pot is great but the difficulty of the first cleaning has me looking at preseasoned pot for the future.

This dutch oven is made well. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the thickness on the sides is a little inconsistent. It appears to be a little thicker in some areas. This doesn't interfere with the use of the product nor the quality of items cooked.

I make natural hair and body products from home and I was nervous ordering this double boiler since I had never used one before. Well, I never knew it could be so easy to melt my mango, kokum and cocoa butters. And it is so easy to clean, I love this thing and wish I had another. The Norpro Stainless Universal Double Boiler insert is exactly what I needed. I did need a larger stock pot to set the insert into, but that was no problem as I had one on hand.

The only downside I saw to the item after I recieved it, and I do admit I kind of had a feeling it would be the case when I was ordering it, but I wish that the handle had been rivited into the bowl.

One thing I wish sellers would do is show better close-ups of areas like where to components come together to show how the are attachedrivited, welded, fasteners, etc.

The reason I was buying a new double boiler, was because the set that I had before ALSO had the handle in what appears to be a 'metal press' way of attaching it to the bowl.

This is not real practical in that when a person is cooking in the bowl, its gonna get heavy...and over time and washings, the 'joint' that they have holding the bowl and handle becomes weak and one day when you go to lift the bowl out of the lower stock pot, the handle breaks off.

I may take my Norpro to a friend of mine and have him put a few tacks of weld on it to help re-enforce it. Other than that, I am very pleased with the product and it will serve me well for many years.

It's only ok because I should have measured my pots before placing the order. The description said it fits 6-8 inch pans, and that's what I have.....BUT mine are not quite deep enough and the double boiler touches the bottom of the pan. So....my fault that it doesn't fit right.

This product shouldn't honestly have ZERO stars. It is a piece of crap plastic that does not make stuffed burgers. No matter how much pam you spray, no matter what you do, beef will get stuck inside it and you will have to dig it out. Once you finally get somewhat the shape of the top, you're supposed to make another one. Then there is a sealer on the other side but I promise you, does not work. You can't even get a decent square burger out of it. This was a waste of money. Don't buy!

DON'T Spray with Vegetable Oil, it didn't work. Burger gets Stuck. I tried wax paper on top and bottom, the burger didn't stick, but the paper didn't give enough and the "Stuff" side impression was too Shallow.

What worked:

I laid down wax paper.

I made 4 oz meatball, using a kitchen scale.

I laid a sheet of Glad wrap over the meatball and pressed "Stuff" side down.

Hold the Glad wrap , peeled off the press, leaving a burger well, with some extra burger edges.

After adding cheese and onions on one side, topped with a second "Stuff" side, covered again with Glad wrap and used the "Seal". There was some extra Burger edges than I smooshed into the burger sides with a table knife.

Cooking took longer than a regular burger, I used indirect heat and verified it was done with a thermometer. A few Burgers leaked out some cheese, but it was delicious!

I look forward to more stuffing experiments.

There are two pieces in the box, one piece is the two-sided stuffed burger press and one piece has a round burger press on one side and a small square, perfect for sliders on the other. Use the Glad Wrap for those presses also.

I like that it's made in USA. Nordic Ware should have really included some better use instructions. I went to the web site and it was not helpful.

This is to second another review here. This item, while beautiful, is not up to the usual Le Creuset standards (and I own 8 or 9 other Le Creuset pieces, with which I am quite happy). The lid on this casserole is loose, and however arranged, is never even close to a snug fit. If I hadn't thrown away the box, I would return it.

How to make perfect roast chicken in the perfect little pot: I use kosher chickens because they taste yummier. I take the skin off the chicken, which is disgusting, but really worth it. Preheat the oven to 500F, Put a little olive oil in the bottom of the pot, and make a basting sauce of a couple tablespoons of olive oil and a couple of tablespoons of fino sherry wisked together with a couple of grinds from the pepper grinder. (You don't need salt because kosher chicken is salted.) Rinse the chicken in cold running water, especially in the cavity and pat it dry with clean paper towels, especially in the cavity. Put the chicken breast side up in the pot and grind some pepper over it. Dribble most of basting sauce over it and flip it so the breast meat is in contact with the bottom of the pot. Grind some pepper over the second side and dribble the remaining sauce over it. Roast in the oven for about 25 minutes until the breast starts to brown. Baste the chicken at 10 minutes, a baste and check for brownness at 20 minutes. When the breast looks crisp and brown, flip the chicken and turn the oven down to 325F. It won't need much longer in the oven until the thighs are about 160F. The pot is light and easy to handle while it's hot, and cleans up with a little scrubbing from a 3M scrubby sponge and a night in the dishwasher. Quite a perfect little pot!

My wife an I have purchased many pieces of Le Creuset cookware over the years but I think we may need to start looking elsewhere. This piece of stoneware cracked after about 12 months of normal use (and frankly it's happened to several of our recently purchased Le Creuset pieces) the quality doesn't seem to be there any longer not sure if they are cutting costs or what but it is really a disappointing. These stunning canisters came the day we were moving, so it was PERFECT timing. I didn't get to open them right away until I was unpacking the kitchen things. WOW! Was I surprised! These are SO much prettier than the image given here and heavy. I filled the smaller one with a whole box of Red Rose tea and still had room for more. These canisters are are indeed lovely to look at-super classy, a little rustic and old timey. The shape is graceful and the raised pattern is well proportioned to fit each size. But they are also very functional. The lid has a soft plastic gasket to help seal it. If the gasket ever breaks, it will be easy to replace with a wide rubber band. The handle on the lid is large enough to slide fingers under. This ensures that it won't slip out of your hand accidentally. Large, medium and small will hold a 5# bag of flour, 5# bag of sugar and a box of corn meal easily. Or use then like I do: cookies, nuts and candy.

Brand new stainless steel stock pot has 2 ugly stains & black spots stuck on the inside on the pot's bottom after paying $100??

Also, everywhere I read, Tramontina is made in Brazil or the U.S. Didn't know that China was in either country. For less money, I could have bought a 12qt multipot made in China without the stains. Also, the pot's interior looks cheap as if a overused wirebrush cleaned it.

Just got this cast-iron grill pan and have already made amazing steaks and grilled veggies. Leaves beautiful grill marks on everything. This pan is extremely heavy and is of great quality. Takes a bit of effort for clean up and maintenance, but worth it for the food it cooks up.

For size reference, we were able to grill 2 16oz NY Strip Steaks with no problem.

The pan looks nice, the box it high quality and makes you feel liek you bought a good product. Then I opened it and pulled it out and the handle was all wobbly right out of the box. Not sure what happened there, but it might explain why a good brand name product was so cheap. Not sure if returning it is worth it considering how much shipping costs since the pan it so heavy, but I hate the wobbly handle. It probably wont be long until it breaks off completely.

I bought two of these: One for my "6-Quart Lodge Color" Dutch Oven & one for my 5.5-quart Tramontina Dutch Oven. My Lodge is an older model. I believe all the new Lodge Dutch Ovens are now shipping with this stainless knob. The knobs fit perfectly & can go in to an oven up to 500 degrees (perfect for making "no-knead bread"). Both my Dutch ovens came with the hard black plastic knobs so only safe to 400 degrees. I know this, because I experimented with my original knob in a 500 degree oven & it cracked & made a very bad smell.

The knob is a generous size (2-inch diameter) & is easy to grasp with oven mitts or a hot pad.

All you need is a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the old knob & screw on the new stainless knob.

My older lodge cast iron enamel pot came with a plastic knob that was not safe to use at higher oven temps. I bought this so I could bake at higher temps. I mean, I've dealt with my fair share of knobs. What girl hasn't? You spend enough time in the kitchen, you get to know your knobs. You spend a lot of time pulling on knobs, lifting knobs, sometimes you're a little rough with your knobs.

Sometimes someone warns you that your knob will explode.

(... apparently, if you put it in the oven above a temperature above which you very frequently use your Lodge dutch oven. I didn't test this theory as exploding knobs are not really my thing.)

So while I'm no expert on the subject of knobs, I knew I needed a new one. Exploding knobs are not good knobs to keep around, even if they're quite nice, as the Lodge "default" knobs tend to be. So I ditched my old knob and bought this shiny wonder. It's fantastic. Doesn't explode. Helps me lift the lid to my dutch oven with ease. It's a great knob. I intend to keep it around for a good long while.

I love this mixer. A lot of the reviews I read made me feel a bit hesitant to purchase this, but so glad I did. I had a cheap had mixer for years that was difficult to use always wanted the luxury of a stand mixer that could also double as a hand mixer. This fits this bill perfectly. I'm not a fancy baker, I like making box cakes or mixing simple recipe items, it works great. If you are someone who loves making bread, not sure that this would be heavy duty enough for you. I never tried it although it comes with the attachments to make it, possibly a small batch would work. It looks great on my counter with all my other stainless steel and I didn't have to spend all that money on a big fancy model that I really didn't need. This was an excellent value for the price.

I bought this mixer more than three months ago and hoped I would find something a few levels above what's typical at outlet stores, something of a high quality. Its not perfect but definitely the quality you'd want in a mixer. I've made four cakes and two pies to date with this mixer and can tell you there is nothing "flimsy" about it. Getting down to the business of it: the bowl you receive is designed to fit perfectly on the movable stand but does not give your beaters the best access to the bottom sides of the bowl due to an odd ridge in the bowl itself. Simple fix: use a spatula. Problem solved, seriously. The six speeds feel more like 3 with the "high" "medium" and "low" each having a step-up before its speed. You really don't even need six speeds but its nice to have that control. Because the stand rotates the bowl can turn by itself. Its hard to say why it does this but you won't find it as a huge issue. I've heard someone else complain about gaps in the grate of the mixer or it being hard to go from the stand to your hand or this, that, and the other. I'm no food gadget geek, just a guy who needs to bake a cake once or twice every couple of months, and I used this thing with little difficulty (just takes a little getting used to).

Bottom line: you want a mixer that can do it all? Have $300 ready. Want a mixer that looks nice in the kitchen, looks professional, has a nice amount of power, won't give you an issue while making a cake, and simply gets the job done? Then this mixer shouldn't do too badly. There's a slight learning curve but I'm never deterred from making my favorite recipes with this mixer. There's nothing wrong with it, it won't fall apart as you take it out of the box, no right-off-the-bat noticeable flaws, nothing that'll make you feel like you just wasted your money. I've really come to enjoy it and would only consider buying a heavy duty one as my next mixer.

I received this as a gift and had my suspicions from the beginning. It mixes adequately with the regular paddles. The dough hooks do not work well. Even when following the mixer's directions to a T, I couldn't get cookie dough or bread dough to mix evenly. Two dough hooks doesn't make sense to me in the first place. I haven't used the whisk, but I'm sure it's fine. It's hard to mess that up. I do like that the top is removable. However, it isn't needed since you can pretty much use any bowl with the stand. There is no locking mechanism. This also causes spinning if you don't hold the bowl still. I also think that the speed starts out too fast. I like a slower speed when adding dry ingredients, so they don't poof everywhere. I'm sure you would get the same effect, except a slosh, when making whipped cream. My advice is to either buy a cheap hand mixer, which is exactly what this is, or buy a real mixer.

I got this mixer one year ago and it was nice while it lasted. The adjustable bottom was useful to mix the batch evenly. I've made a few batches of cookies, brownies and bread, however, it broke in about 9 months. I probably used this less than 10 times. i haven't dropped it and it was working when i had last put it away so it seems the motor just died for no reason. There is no warranty so buyer beware.

This is a reletively "OK" mixer, it mixes medium to large quanties very well however, small quanties won't be mixed as well as you would hope. I tried to beat some egg whites and even when the top was nice and firm the egg was still clear and runny on the bottom. Not a very good mixer
