I was going to buy this, during the gold-box deal, but went to another web site selling it for $140 not on sale and found it was made in China and that the bottom is aluminum.

After a few of the comments I received I went to All Clad and they told me if I was concerned about it being made in the USA then buy the D5 line, haven't looked at that yet as I was just looking at gold box this morning. They told me they monitor the products made in China if that makes any one feel better.

A very nice sized pot, good for steaming and cooking pasta without having to use a much larger pot (I've got their stock pot, but it is a monster). IT IS INDUCTION CAPABLE since a magnet will stick to the bottom (but not the sides).

This steamer is a real hit with my wife who loves steamed veggies.. Flawless design and finish is the hallmark of All Clad and this steamer is no exception.

Honest reviews on All-Clad E8979064AMZ 2-Tier Stainless Steel Steamer with Locking

Owning the D5 Set of pots and pans gives me an appreciation that this set isn't as well built so I took off a star given that the prices is still steep for the All Clad name. The set is I'm sure going to last me and performs well. I just don't see the quality I see in the other products I own from All Clad, but understand I could have shelled out more and got a D5 equivalent. I didn't. I'm displeased as well that this is not USA made. Foreign import and the workmanship shows it. However, it goes to the price I paid.

I cannot review the performance of this item because I returned it unused. The reason I returned it is that it is too big for my needs and my storage space. At this time, the dimensions on the product page are stated as 8.2 x 8.0 x 5.3. The only way I can get any measurement near 8" is by measuring the area on the bottom of the pot that touches the stove. The top rim of the pot is about 10.25" in diameter and measuring from handle-to-handle is about 13.5". From top to bottom with both inserts and the lid, the stack is about 10" tall if you store the lid inverted. It is a really nice set and the tongs are wonderful, too. If I had a large family and a bigger kitchen I am sure I would enjoy this. I am a fan of All-Clad, but this set is just not right for me.

It is very poorly made and the non-stick surface starts to flake off after the first washing, and by the 10th washing, it starts to rust.

I purchased a couple of these and the paint on both the broiler pan and wire rack flakes off after about 5 uses. I, too had to throw it out. I am real disappointed!

Best Deals for Nordic Ware Toaster Oven 2-Piece Broiler Set

The rack doesn't fit into any type of a groove & when food sticks, which it does, the whole rack comes off. You are constantly having to hold the rack with a pot holder to flip or remove food. It began to chip & flake after a few months and we tossed it in the garbage. Not recommended.

Honest reviews on Nordic Ware Toaster Oven 2-Piece Broiler Set

This thing is a sin. Admittedly, as the good reviews note, this is a non-stick Toaster Over Broiler Pan. As such, it does do what all the good reviews say it will. But of course it does, all non-stick toaster oven broiler pans will.

But that's not the point. The point is to review THIS pan, and as I noted above, this pan is a sin. It does all the good things the other reviews note, UNTIL about an hour after you receive it when the non-stick coating starts to flake off. Wash it, and it gets even worse. The point here is simple, as others noted, the non-stick coating won't even stick to the surface of the pan, and therefore it ain't non-stick for long.

I haven't found another effective solution for my toaster oven yet, but I can tell you that this certainly isn't one. In the words of the immortal Pet Shop Boys: It's a, it's a, it's a... It's A Sin.

With all the news around about ingesting teflon and the hazzards of this cancerous material, this product should be taken off the market. The first time I washed this item, alot of the black coating came off. And that was withoiut scrubbing it. I can't believe the FDA hasn't pulled it off the store's shelves. Where are they when such a dangerous condition exists?

I was very hesitant to buy this pan because there were no reviews on the product page and the price was better by far than any other sites I had searched. Their product photo was small so I thought they were hiding something. Then I decided either I wouldn't get a lid or it would be one of the lid's that used to be made in China that didn't fit well. I'm just being honest because in most cases I probably would have been afraid to take a chance. The company feedback on other items was very good. In the 12 hours I took to try and decide whether to go for it 2 of the 3 available pans sold so I decided to take a chance.

This pan is truly perfection. I am housebound and had never seen the D5 in person and wish I had many more pieces. I do have the copper core set because I had enough points to get a 7 piece set without paying cash plus it was the only set the site had in all clad. Both the copper core and D5 arrived on the same day. I really like the look of the brushed D5 and will be searching for a 3 qt. in it because I use that size saucepan most frequently. I made a french vanilla bean custard for homemade ice cream in the D5 yesterday and it was pure pleasure. Prior to last Friday, I had only inexpensive non stick saucepans I bought years ago from qvc plus odds and ends non stick specialty pans and one all clad older stainless skillet. There was no comparison to the control I had over my gas heat in the D5 compared to a similar french vanilla bean custard I made the week before in the older stainless non stick. I will probably find I like the copper core better for some cooking and the D5 better for others. It is substantial, looks beautiful with stainless in the kitchen and will be cherished. I received it in a manufacturers box very quickly. It's so nice when a seller and the product are better than you imagined and I wanted to be sure this review was available for anyone else that may hesistate.

This pan is all you could ask for--well balanced, heats evenly, cleans easily. All-Clad is expensive but worth the extra.

Honest reviews on All-Clad d5 Brushed Stainless Steel Saucepan with Helper Handle

Yep, these ain't cheap but if your serious about your cooking and enjoy your time in the kitchen whisking up your favorite recipe you should consider investing in high quality cookware.

For years I hesitated and settled for good quality imitations such as the Emeril's cookware but finally decided to treat myself to the real thing and find out if they are worth the high prices. Yes they certainty do. No hot spots, better results at lower heat, tight lids that allow even lower heats due to fantastic heat retention (just use a higher initial temperature put the lid on and reduce to low/medium and you get a better result than having to use med/high on other less efficient wares)

I got the same satisfaction than when I decided to buy chef quality knives ... Once you cut and dice with a "real pro knife" you know why it cost $250.

I think of these pots as an investment and a heirloom to pass on to my kids. These things are so well built that you know they will last forever (proper care of course)

I read reviews stating that you will do just as good with the classic trii-ply stainless but these are truly a step ahead. How can two layers of aluminum not be better than one? It keeps a uniform heat over the entire surface and sides at lower temperatures, perfect for braising, slow cooking, stews etc and also quickly searing and pan frying without hot spots trying to shuffle the food around so that each gets a shot at it ... With these the heat is uniform all around, just don't crowed the pieces during the searing process.

Yep I did pay a small fortune for a custom hand picked set but these are worth every penny.

Btw don't get drawn into buying the "sets" you don't really save much except if you really need the huge 8 and 12 qt stock pots and prefer frying pans over skillets.

I selected the 11 and 13 inch skillets with lids, the 1.5 and 3 qt sauce pans, the 3qt casserole steamer combo, the 4 qt sauté pan, the 6 qt deep sauté pot and 6 qt fry basket. That's the equivalent of 16 pieces for the price of their advertised 14 piece set. FYI I keep my Emeril's 6 qt stock pot that I will use for deep frying on my induction portable burner (it has a copper core and I won't suffer if it gets stained with grease frying at higher temperatures)

I prefer skillets and after researching realized that the 13 inch can also be used as a paella pan as they are similar except for the handle.

Word of caution, these are heavy, best suited for men or strong women not afraid to handle them.

Purchased as an adaptable and affordable alternative to expensive ($1,000+) teppanyaki griddles. The griddle is delightfully heavy and makes a fine heat sink. It is used over two 75,000btu burners with two perforated simmer diffusers sandwiched between. The heat is nicely distributed and allows slower cooking. My interest is in Japanese-style cooking: okonomiyaki and yakisobas mainly. (Yes, there is enough room for an onion volcano if you must.) The set-up is used in the kitchen (not the standard kitchen). Now I can cook two Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki and have space to fry the noodles that are part of the recipe AND the two required eggs without wishing I had another burner and pan. Very Nice. Keep in mind that it is NOT designed to fit the typical wimpy range found in the usual kitchen.

The cast iron MUST be seasoned, but can be done on top of the burners, no oven required. The cast iron MUST be heated slowly to prevent distortion and cracking. Remember, there is a lot of thermal mass here. One bit of advice, sand the cooking surface to remove the lumps and roughness from the (I presume) sand mold. An orbital sander and successive grits works fine.

The griddle meets my requirements beautifully. The cooking is fun and efficient. Cleaning is ridiculously easy. Sure, it is not laser-flat, but close enough. My only surprise was that it survived shipping in the incredibly thin packaging.

This could have been a really good grill that would have lasted a lifetime. However, the first one I recieved had deep groves in it from poor casting. Amazon replaced it with another. The second grill had the same grooves and large deep divits created from someone trying to use a grinder. I dont recomend this to anyone since you will be disapointed with a grill that could be great if it was manufactured properly.

This is a bargain. It is the most inexpensive piece of new metal/pound I ever brought. There are some minor grinding marks on the outside edge, but they are gone with the first couple of uses and seasoning. The griddle and frying finish are fine. Plus, you can't beat the price. I don't normal write reviews, but this desires a good solid rating for its workmanship, cost and free shipping. Just be mindful at 28 inches long, it is big it's size surprised me somewhat.

Good sear marks and flavor, along with very fast cooking !

Lot's 'o realestate for cooking

It's very hot to handle after cooking, but I found, that a pair of welders gloves solved that problem nicely!

This is a great product. The packaging was not good..but that was to be thrown away anyway. I also purchased the two eye grill stand and they work great together. the stand does however need to be at least a foot taller and I am only 5'3. My husband is a chef so he is used to huge grill areas. The cast iron is heavy..but has been smooth and seasoned from the beginning. I did re-season it with some solid shortening and putting it on a low heat gradually adding heat. I then wiped it clean with paper towels after letting it cool down naturally. I always clean it after using and add a layer of cooking oil to keep it nice. We use a piece of sheet metal to cover the grill and leave it on the stand instead of having to take it in and out. This grill cooks really good. ...the length is good ...but I do wish the cooking area was about 6-inches wider. It has a drain area around the edges and that is nice but takes up space on the actual cooking area. This would also be a great grill to load up and take camping if you are into that.

Just got this cast-iron grill pan and have already made amazing steaks and grilled veggies. Leaves beautiful grill marks on everything. This pan is extremely heavy and is of great quality. Takes a bit of effort for clean up and maintenance, but worth it for the food it cooks up.

Honest reviews on Bodum Chambord Enameled Cast Iron Grill Pan, White

The pan looks nice, the box it high quality and makes you feel liek you bought a good product. Then I opened it and pulled it out and the handle was all wobbly right out of the box. Not sure what happened there, but it might explain why a good brand name product was so cheap. Not sure if returning it is worth it considering how much shipping costs since the pan it so heavy, but I hate the wobbly handle. It probably wont be long until it breaks off completely.

I use this weekly for making fresh and dried pasta, and for cooking batches of stock and soup. If you have problems with splattering or spillage while performing these tasks, this pot will help make you less of a messy chef!

It's particularly good for delicate cream based soups and sauces, which burn quickly & easily on inferior cheap disk bottom stockpots. (unless you have a dedicated sous chef to stir for hours on end) Although it's true that, if all you're going to do is boil water, you can get away with a cheaper piece of cookware. But if you like to use your kitchen tools for as many tasks as possible, it is hard to go wrong with this. Made in USA, too!

Also, the pasta insert that is included with the pasta pentola version of this pot seems highly impractical. As someone who has worked in professional kitchens, a "spider" type strainer, or even a smaller chinois (conical strainer)is an easier, cheaper, and much less messy way to cook multiple batches of pasta in the same pasta stock. It will take up much less room in the dishwasher, too.

Calphalon Contemporary is as good as All Clad or any other cookware line on the market, and better than most.

Great heat distribution and extremely high efficiency. You actually have to learn to cook with less power than what you're used to.

Can be used with any cooktop, electric coil, flat electric, gas and induction. (These are downright amazing with induction!)

Doesn't scratch or lose its surface like any non-stick will do

Can use metal or nylon utensils

Non-stick results if used according to directions.

Easy to clean if you use Barkeeper's Friend.

Will be the last cookware you'll have to buy.

I also got the wok, and am thinking about getting another. With two of these woks, I could cook anything and rule the world.

Unfortunately, Amazon is currently out of the woks, so I have to wait for them to restock.

Unfortunately right now Amazon is not the price leader. They often have a $30-$50 discount from the retail $499, but as I write the review the price is back up to list.

Other sources also offer additional free pieces, gift cards, etc. You'll have to weigh that against Amazon's no sales tax.

If you shop hard, you can usually find a 20% coupon elsewhere, plus extra items. I hope Amazon sharpens their pencils soon.

Also, a lot of the Amazon listings under Calphalon Contemporary are for external vendors, so if you see above-list prices, keep on scrolling down to find the Amazon entry.

By the way, even if you don't get these from Amazon, avoid Macy's, who lists this set at $549 plus tax.

Notes after ten months of use (December 28, 2011):

If you can't tell, I really like this stuff, so I got the 8 quart dutch oven for Christmas 2011. I cooked a beef roast and roasted vegetables for Christmas dinner with excellent results.

So in addition to all the cook tops that it works with, add "oven".

You can cook eggs without sticking. Make sure you use PAM or butter and remember that these pans need lower heat than you're used to with aluminum or whatever you've been using.

To remove stains and anything you've managed to "bake on", use stainless steel scrub buds (not steel wool, which scratches!) and Barkeeper's Friend. Most heat discoloration can also be removed with distilled vinegar and a scrub sponge.

Amazon's price is still at list, but they have listings from Amazon store front vendors fulfilled by Amazon at significant discounts, so you can get a good price, no tax, and Super Saver and Prime shipping are applicable.

Notes after about 20 months of use:

Nothing bad to report, still works great, no damage or wear. I'm still cleaning with stainless steel scrub buds and BKF and there is no visible scratching. Have had some of the pots dry out and food burn and blacken when I or my wife have gotten distracted when there was something cooking. An overnight soaking followed by a liberal application of elbow grease have gotten them 100% clean. A pot with a nonstick coating would have been ruined.

We all have had kitchen mishaps/nightmares that we chuckle about, and rarely do we let anyone outside the home know about them, but here goes.

I received this set of pots one year ago, and I have put them through a testing regime that even Calphalon would cringe at and would rightly void any warranty on. Before I start this story you should know I have a Wolf stove restaurant grade, so it puts our more heat than the normal home stove and has an extreme ventilation system (thank goodness).

First disaster One dinner I placed some sauce in a pot to thicken and then we had a crisis happened at the back of our property that made us rush out of the house to address forgetting the pots on the stove. Six hours later we returned home the sauce was gone and charcoal remained at the bottom of the pan. I thought the pot was shot. A little Bar Keepers and elbow grease and (to my amazement) the pot was as good as new.

Second disaster both my hubby and I were exhausted from work and put some food on to boil (I use a Foodsaver so it's the ol' `boil in a bag' meal bag in those instances), but we both fell asleep waiting for dinner. At 3AM when I woke up (Hubby still snoring) the water was long gone in the pan and the bag had turned to charcoal way beyond the melted bag stage try `fused to the pan' stage. OK, the pot is a goner nope, with elbow grease and Bar Keepers as good as new.

Third disaster dinner's back on the stove and one of our horses went down at the back of the property. Back out the door we went forgetting the pots. When we returned to the house we were so exhausted we went to bed forgetting about dinner. In the morning (approx 8AM) we went out to the kitchen for breakfast finding our stove still on and the pots had all turned to a tan color. OK, now the bottoms have to melted out of them and they have to be shot. Nope, a little more Bar Keepers and they all were just like new.

You all have to be thinking at this point why hasn't this person burned down the house yet...I'm asking the same question...I'm lobbying for an in-home cook now, but Hubby isn't hearing of it (chuckle). In over 30 years of cooking I've never had disasters like this, but I'm amazed these pots have handled it.

All the above stories my family is chuckling around the table about these days but it's the reason I'm writing this review. Over the years I've cooked with Teflon, cast iron, copper, etc and this cookware is the best I've ever used. Teflon flakes, cast iron needs caution handling (plus it's heavy), copper needs `babying' to keep it looking good this product is bullet-proof. Through all my abuse it hasn't warped, tarnished, and so on. This product is truly AMAZING and well worth the money. The thing that still amazes me is through all my disasters this year I was still able to pick up the pans without a pot holder the handles were cool to the touch. All I did was place the pot off to the side (away from the heat) until it cooled down, then added water and heated it again, and finally scrub it with Bar Keepers and they all went back to their new shiny pot-state AMAZING! So, I'm hoping for no more disasters like these in 2012 (more than I've ever had in my entire life). If you are looking for the `Sherman Tank' of cookware that you don't have to baby this is it! I'm now a die-hard Calphalon fan. I hope you all get a good chuckle out of my `disasters' I (and my family) swear they are all true (to my embracement which is now out there for everyone to see).

PS Before we purchased this set we read all the reviews and I wasn't sure if this was what we should buy. I was nervous that they may need special care, some unique needs for cooking in, etc. Heck, from the reviews you should be able to tell they are a beautiful cookware set that can be hung up for everyone to see but from my experience you can determine they can handle everyday use (no babying) and end up being a 'hand-me-down' for generations to come. If they survived me this last year they'll probably be around for generations to come kinda like the cast iron cookware from years gone by.

Best Deals for Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Cookware Set

I've been cooking quite a bit with this set and do recommend them to the casual cook and/or the professional.

The major thing I've noticed is the amazing heat distribution of these pans. I cooked at friends house a couple weeks ago on a crappy electric range and the tuna steak we were cooking turned out perfect like I was cooking at home on my gas range.

Also a notable achievement is the easy clean up of these pans. The smooth design seemed cosmetic at first but I've been grateful for the rounded interior edges, they've saved me hours of clean up.

Great investment! Lifetime warranty is no joke either. Worth the price.

Honest reviews on Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Cookware Set

We just bought and opened this cookware. It had received several positive ratings so we were pretty excited about it. Unfortunately, the lids have some manufacturing quality control problems. The lids are glass with a stainless steel border that goes all of the way around the edge of the lid. On three of the lids, the seams (where the edges of the border connect to each other)are messed up -not aligned, not quite finished or smooth, and in one case, the seam edge is rough -to where it could possible catch on a sponge or finger. Amazon is great -offered to replace or discount the set, and that's why we love Amazon. But, they couldn't just replace the couple of bad lids. Pack it all up and haul 28 pounds of cookware to UPS or settle with a discount? We're still trying to decide but are really disappointed in Calphalon's quality here.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Cookware Set

We've been quite pleased with this set. The construction is solid and it is quite attractive.

What I like best is the even heating. With previous cookware, to give one example, I've always had a hard time getting olive oil to distribute completely and evenly around a pan. That is no problem with the frying pans in this set. I'm able to actually use less olive oil and get a complete coating with no trouble whatsoever.

I also like the glass lids. It gives us the capability of keep an eye on what the status of simmering food is without constantly lifting the lid to check it. Very helpful.

Because of the multi-ply construction, food truly does cook just as well at lower temperature settings than we are used to using. I still use a high setting to bring something to a boil of course, but simmering and sauteing both happen very well with about two thirds of the heat setting we are used to cooking with. One advantage of this is there is a greater margin of error if you become distracted before something may start to burn, if it even would at all. We have yet to have anything burn or stick while using this set. I would stress that you should read the instructions and follow them to have the same experience. If you just throw food in one of these skillets on high heat and no light oil/butter coating distributed first, I'm sure you could have a bad experience very quickly. LOL So read the instructions and don't use the set incorrectly.

I'm going to make updates to this review as we use the various pieces for different cooking tasks:

* I just made a pot of chili using the stock pot. I've simmered the chili for three hours on low without the first bit of the chili having to be scraped off the bottom. I've never even had that happen with a pot we have which is coated with a supposed non-stick surface. Plus, I was able to fit a really large amount of ingredients in this pot with three inches to spare from the rim. And let me tell you, with the top on no steam at all escapes. The glass lids have a rubber seal around the edge that I assume gets the credit for this. The chili has just as much moisture left in it now as it did when I started simmering it. I'd have had to add water to our old pot a few times by now to keep it from getting too thick (and I'm sure this is a major reason that nothing is sticking to the bottom). I'm very happy with the stock pot and its performance.

This cookware is a good value at Amazon's price. We got it on one of the daily Lightening Deals, and that was an outstanding value for the money spent. The set will serve us well for the rest of our lives.

Highly recommended.

As suggested by other reviewers, we went slow and were careful to get the assembly done right. After loose assembly of all components, we used a Phillips screwdriver and a socket wrench to tighten the screws and nuts. The finished rack is sturdy and is now holding three iron dutch ovens, two skillets, and a bacon flattener. It looks fantastic!

As a professional chef I run across all sorts of products that are supposed to be the next best thing since sliced bread. However, this pan just so happens to be the next best thing, and I picked it up at my local Le Gourmet Chef in Hagerstown, MD.

Simply put the ultra smooth non-stick surface is smoother than glass; thus cooking requires little if no oil and clean up is a breeze with a simple rinse and wipe. As long as you stay away from aerosol sprays you will have an enjoyable experience with this cookware or any cookware for that matter. If you must spray in your oil then I suggest you buy an oil mister because spraying from a can simply adds residue that ruins pans and takes away from the flavor of your food after buildup occurs. The best feature for all you home chefs is that this pan is 100% DISHWASHER SAFE! It's also oven safe to 500 degrees.

The clear glass cover rounds out the entire package deal and is equally easy to clean. It's nice to be able to cover your pan while cooking and still see what is happening inside without lifting the lid and loosing heat or worse causing a steam burn. Last but not least, the cookware is guaranteed for life, so what are you waiting for, go get one and start something new and exciting in the kitchen!

The difference between my old nonstick cookware (Culinary Essentials brand purchased at Costco over 10 years ago) and this Calphalon Unison cookware is like night and day. The food cooks evenly and absolutely does not stick. The pan is weighty without being too heavy and the handles stay cool. The glass lids are also nice. This Unison cookware is one of the few choices that is dishwasher safe and guaranteed for life, a selling point for me. So far, though, I've hand washed it. A few seconds is all it takes to come clean.

I don't know if I just received a bad item, or if the other reviewers treat their pans like crystal, but mine developed lots of scratches (some rather deep) after only one use. I followed all the instructions for what to do before the first use, and I only used plastic utensils. I was stunned the cheap pans from Walmart didn't get scratches that fast. I had to return it.

Bottom of pan is not perfectly flat so it is useless for

a glass stove top. It cooked beautifully the first

few times but the bottom became uneven very quickly.

No. I did not use high heat.

Probably OK for a gas stove but a definite NO for

electric smooth top.

I'm afraid I have to agree with others who have had bad experiences with these pans. Calphalon sent me one of these as a replacement for a Calphalon One Nonstick (what they previously called this line, which, before that, was called Commercial Nonstick) that didn't hold up well in heavy use, but not abuse.

I was shocked to see imperfections in the surface right out of the box, but figured if they were only cosmetic, I'd put up with it (though this never happened with Calphalon "back in the day"). But the nonstick surface has been scratching off when used with soft plastic utensils at medium-low heat.

Maybe there's a lot of variation in quality, now, but these pans (now made in China) are not what they used to be. Not even close. And if you get a bad one, it's really junk! Not remotely the quality that I used to associate with Calphalon.

If they keep replacing every bad pan, they may be able to keep some customers coming back for more, but they'll eventually go out of business. How does the higher profit (bottom line) of low labor cost hold up when the revenue (top line) dries up? Calphalon isn't the only American company making this mistake. The problem is not *who* or *where* the product is being manufactured, it's the level of quality that the company is not getting, but *could* if they were willing to pay for it (I know for a fact that there are outstanding facilities in China that make products that are just as good as products made anywhere else at any cost). This greedy drive for profit will backfire, and we'll all be the worse for it.

Sad to say, I don't buy or recommend Calphalon anymore. I don't know if they really deserve only one star, but I felt it was important to bring the average down as a warning to others.

I am updating my Kitchen and needed to add some sliding organizers for pots and pans. The units are heavy duty as noted by other reviewers and are better quality than the ones at the home supply stores. The slides have quality bearings in them which makes usage easy no matter the weight in the organizer. The only thing that keeps this from a 5 star is the difficulty of installation since the organizer cannot separate from the slides. I was going to put one under my sink but I was concerned if I had to get to the plumbing I would have to uninstall the entire unit.

These are easy to install, solidly constructed, and do a good job of allowing the utilization of deep cabinets. However, the pictures provided of the product show the sliding rails vertically oriented and connected to each other as part of a sub-frame for the basket. That would have been a great and sturdy design. But the actual product has the rails horizontally oriented, which means the basket droops significantly when fully extended. We used these for our pantry, but unfortunately we can't load them with anything dense like cans due to this dumb design. I would have returned them for this reason if I thought I'd have another free weekend coming up soon to install a different product.

I ordered these for my pots and pans cabinet and they have made a HUGE difference in accessability! They are heavy, very sturdy, roll very smoothly and also very easy to install. I know these will be with me for years to come. The full-extension is great and they are able to accomidate the many skillets and saucepans that I use reguarly. Amazon's price is about the same if not less that others, but with the free shipping you can't beat it!

Honest reviews on Household Essentials Extra-Deep Sliding Cabinet Organizer, Chrome

I installed two of these in our cabinets. The instructions were reasonably clear, though a template would have been helpful.

These are of sturdy construction, and the (full) glides are smooth.

I gave only 4 stars because the quality assurance could have been just a little better. They are about 1/8" inch wider than the claimed 14-1/2, which could make a difference if the cabinet opening is a little smaller than usual. On very close inspection, the shaping of the wires is not exactly even in the vertical plane, so there is just a little bowing in the top wire. It does not detract from the appearance or function, it might even add strength, but don't expect close tolerance on the dimensions.

I purchased 3 of these drawers to go in a pantry that I had to nearly empty every time I needed something in the back. These drawers installed easily and glide smoothly. The baskets DO come off the track if you want them to for installation purposes. I installed 3 and didn't do any of them the same way twice, but I'm no carpenter and managed to do just fine.

One of the drawers contains all of my baking items: sugar, flour etc and is holding a substantial amount of weight. That one glides just the same as the one with pastas and boxed items.

I found the price on Amazon better than these items that were selling locally but I still hate spending that much money on something so "practical". They solved my frustration from digging through my pantry every time I cooked though, so I guess it was all worth it.
