This China made pot is 8 quarts which wasn't be described. Some one rated it was a perfect size because some are too big or some are too small. But I think 8 quarts is too big for the family of 2. The bottom is thin. It's OK to use as a steamer and pasta cooker. But with the price of $29.99 for all of these are good. I haven't used yet so I am not sure about the quality after being used. Shipping was fast.

Update: After the first use, the rim of the lid got rust. At first I thought the pot had rusted, but actually it came from the lid. So disappointed. Not recommend.

Chose this because it was stainless, not aluminum. Noted previous reviews that complained it was too thin bottomed, but that is normal for a pasta pot so not a problem for me. Was the perfect size, most of the others I found were either too large or too small. This one was just right....lol

Bought these for my daughter and she was bugging me for my smaller one. I use it often so I decided to look for one online for her. Found this one at a great price and got it within three days of ordering it. Good construction and I actually like it better than my own which is kind of thin (I keep it because it was my mother's). I would definitely buy another one for myself!

I really like the design and the ease of use of this sauce pan. However, the handle fell off after just 6 months of regular home use, due to rust! The pan is supposed to be dishwasher-safe so I am very disappointed. I'm sending it back to Amazon. According to their policy I should at least receive a partial refund.

About 2 months after buying this the non-stick surface has started to come off. It says it's dishwasher safe, so it shouldn't have been that. I use silicone or sometimes wood utensils with my nonstick items, shouldn't have been that.

I tried contacting the manufacturer (Good Cook) and have not heard back from them.

Edit : I've heard back from the manufacturer. They're rectifying the situation. --nov. 10, 2011

New one is working just fine. I might be ordering another pot of a different size soon

I eat a ton of eggs. I like to fry them, so it's important for me that the spatula itself be sturdy, but that the tip is flexible so that it can slide underneath the egg without breaking it. I guess I didn't read the other reviews carefully enough, but looking at the picture, I thought that was the case. In fact, the entire turning part is made of a hard plastic. It's still possible to flip eggs with it, but they don't turn out nearly as nice as with my old turner, which recently broke. In addition, the first couple times I used it, the egg was sticking to it, making it difficult to make scrambled eggs as well.

The construction of the turner itself seems sturdy enough though; if you're looking for just a hard piece of tapered plastic on the end of your turner, you should be fine with this one. If you cook eggs, I'd go with something else.

I love this spatula! It's sturdy, not flexible and flimsy. What sets it above all the rest is its edge. Comes to a smooth, super-narrow point all along the turning edge, which means it'll scrape anything off a pan with ease. I'm ordering more like this and getting rid of all my other spatulas.

This is a great turner if you need a firm, non-flexing blade with a sharp edge. I find it excellent for tasks such as browning chicken or other meats that may stick a bit to the pan. The sharp edge of the turner makes it easy to get under the meat and flip it over, and scrape all the stuck pieces off the pan. It's made of nylon, so it won't damage a nonstick coating.

It's not the best choice for flipping delicate items such as eggs since the blade has virtually no flex to it. But for other uses, I find it works very well. It's about as close as you can get to the functionality of a sturdy metal turner but still protect the nonstick coating.

The build quality is better than I expected for the price (under 4 bucks). The turner end measures 3.5 inches wide and 3.75 inches long. The handle is plastic and comfortable to use, and has a nice indent for your thumb so you can get a good grip. The handle also has an eye hook at the end if you want to hang it. The handle is 9 inches long from where it attaches to the blade. It's 12.5 inches end-to-end.

Very nice and highly recommend.

The product description claims that it is heat resistant yet the edge of the spatula melted a bit after normal use and started to flake. I had to scrape off the loose plastic. Now I'm very careful not to expose it to heat for very long.

Also, they are called pods but they are just bags without strings and the individual wrapping of each one seems wasteful.

I have not tasted the tea. I did multiple searches on Amazon for Tassimo teas and this tea came up every time. Will not work in any pod coffee maker. Just a plain old teabag without a string.

I sometimes wonder if these reviews are all about the same item. This serrated knife is great. It isnt like it was $100 so while you cant expect $100 value in a $9 knife, I think it is worth 3x the price. I love serrated knives for some reason. I read some reviews and saw someone say they could cut veges thin with it. I have to think she was using a different product because I have zero problem cutting things to a transparent thickness. I actually love it for cheese. I also love it for meats. I hate those little steak knives that come with the sets. At least this one feels like you have something in your hand and it gives you great leverege or however you spell that word. I use it for everything from cutting a tomato to cutting rolls and meats and cheeses. I actually liked it so much that I just bought more of them. I dont see how the tip breaks off like a couple people said. I do clean mine by hand and dont put it in the dishwasher but I dont see how that should matter. I never had a very expensive serrated knife and now I dont see why I would ever need one. I would just as soon buy another one for the lousy $9 if something happened to the ones I have. These reviews make it so tough to rely on as I am looking for something in a different area and things have 300 5 star reviews and than 10 people give the product 1 star and it throws off your thinking. It makes it very tough to buy things based on reviews. Not many things have all 5 star reviews, if any. So when every product has both 5 star and 1 star reviews, you have to wonder if they are talking about the same product. Not counting the broken out of the box problems because I suppose that can happen. Oh well! I think this knife is fabulous especially for the price

It's hard to go wrong with any Henckels knife. That said, I read other reviews and thought that this knife would be an improvement for cutting vegetables for my salads. Wrong. The serrated blade tends to shred mushrooms rather than cut them thinly, and my tomatoes, also fairly soft, get mushy in the cutting. So, for softer items, this knife loses a star with me. On the other hand, it slices firmer items just fine, such as bread, sandwiches, meats, onions and celery and semi-ripe avocados. Again, though, I had no luck slicing anything thinly with this knife. Here is information from the tag which is helpful: (1) micro-serrated edge; (2) heavy weight stamped; (3) triple riveted handles with stainless rivets; (4) fully visible tang construction; (5) breakproof, dishwasher safe (handwashing recommended); (6) made in Thailand; (7) contour black polypropylene handle and (8) fully guaranteed against defects in material and/or craftsmanship. The label also includes a website if you have other questions. I like the weight of the knife in general, and the handle is substantial, balanced and easy on my hand.

In the event that there are any material problems with the knife, I know from personal experience that Henckels has a terrific guarantee. I recently contacted them about a paring knife that was over 25 years old with a bent blade. I mailed the knife back to Henckels, and they sent me a new knife; all I paid was the cost of the postage back to them; they gave me the new knife and paid the postage back. So, I already know that if this knife does not hold up over time, Henckels will stand behind their product.

This is my 2nd one of this specific knife.

I bought a second because it is the ONE knife I use for almost all my cutting and prepping.

Interestingly, my first one I purchased about 7 yrs back was from Japan.

I have never had to resharpen this knife. EVER!

This one is from China. I tried to compare and find a flaw but the knife is perfect.

Super sharp and extremely well balanced in the hand.

Japan vs. China.... I don't see any difference.

They must still be following the Henckel manufacturer's strict specifications.

I would recommend this to any intermediate and professional chef.

It is very sharp and unforgiving for a very beginner cook so be careful.

I just got this and have already cooked chicken which comes out crispy golden brown on the outside and juicy on the inside just like it says it will, and pork bbq ribs, which I used to cook the pork until almost done, then switched over to my crock pot where I added bbq sauce and cooked slowly for 3 hours. PERFECT!

It's easier to clean than I thought it would be it really does just rinse out with a quick swish. I got this model because I wanted the manual control knobs rather than the digital and I have no problems with them at all. It is quiet, only the timer and fan make noise and they are both really quiet.

I was most surprised at how quickly and perfectly that golden brown crust formed on the chicken and the pork. I also cooked some steak fries and they browned quickly and cooked quickly as well.

I plan to get one of these for each of my kids to use as well.

A friend of mine has a Flavorwave Oven and he loves it. He uses it daily. After seeing it in action myself on several occasions and eating the beef, chicken and fish cooked in it I decided to get one of my own. I searched Amazon.com and found this Secura Infrared Tabletop Turbo Oven Pro S-777MH. It looks very close to Flavorwave Oven but costs only 2/3 and with a free Extender Ring. It has a five star review, though only two reviews. I decided to give it a try.

I have made beef, chicken, pork loin, sausage rings, chicken thighs and fish in here, as well as some veggies. The meat/fish/chicken is so juicy, flavorful with no fat or oil when it comes out of the cooker the first time. Re-heated in the cooker still yields a moist piece of meat, not like what happens when reheated in a microwave or regular oven. Processed foods like pizza rolls and breaded butterfly shrimp turned out perfect in about 10 minutes.

The glass bottom cleans easily in hot soapy water when needed; many times, a wipe-down with a wet paper towel is all that is needed to clean the inside sides. I keep a foil on the bottom, so that's easily removed and replaced. If you're cooking something really splatters, you can line the entire bottom with foil, up to within an inch of the brim.

The free expander ring adds a couple of inches to the height of this unit and makes it look very decent.

All in all, I am very glad I got it. It is an awesome, stylish and healthy appliance.

I bought this oven in July 2010 and loved it. We use it probably 2-3 times per week, sometimes more. I had a NuWave turbo oven for 3-1/2 years prior to the Secura and the plastic cover cracked. Since it couldn't be replaced we searched for one with a glass cover. I did a lot of research and found good reviews on this oven so I got it. Last night, I put in burgers to cook and when I turned the unit on it started making funny noises. I was still standing there but by the time I could reach out to turn it off it started sparking and caught fire. By the time I reached over to unplug it I had flames and smoke(at least the glass contained the fire). I called Secura today to notify them and see if it was covered under the manufacturer's warranty and they said "nope". That is all they would say!! I'm out $100 bucks for something that didn't work for even 1 year and the company won't stand behind their product. Even though the NuWave has a plastic cover I'm going back to it. At least it lasted over 3 years! This may have been a fluke but beware. It caught on fire so fast! I am so thankful that I was standing right there.

Received the oven approx. 8 weeks ago.

Shipping was OK, whole handling of order was w/o any problems.

I was impressed: nice glass bowl, whole setup of good quality.

One small problem I noticed initially : Cooking recommendation were in Degrees Celsius, but oven top showed Degree Fahrenheit. I would recommend that the manufactures changes that ( should be easily done).

First time use : cooked some chicken : cooking was o.k, meat came out juicy, nice browning.

So far so good , oven seemed to be as promised.

But then at second time use : .... nothing the lamp was not working/ no heat.

Contacted Lafraise , they responded immediately and addressed the problem. After review I received without any problems a brand new replacement unit. I am impressed and this unit now works works fine.

Some tips for convection oven cooking in general you need lower temperature settings.

I would recommend as a general guidelines to start with 325 F , then play around with time features and settings ( high or low rack) . It also helps to get a convection oven cookbook (if you never cooked with this type of oven before)

As a conclusion : the oven gets 4-5 stars as I use it as a second unit for smaller meals -

but Lafraise gets 5 stars for their customer service and this is for me the most important factor. There can always be a glitch in a manufactured product but this was easily solved as the company stood behind their product.

Ordered the Secura to replace our older Morning Ware. Love that it is made of glass instead of the plastic that cracks after a few years. Simple to use but the directions are in C and the temperature guage is in F so you will have to do some conversions. In case you do not know here are the formulas C = 5/9(F-32) and F = 9/5C + 32. I checked out the Flavor ware and the nu wave but they were a lot more expensive and were not made of glass. So far everything works just fine.

Just got this cast-iron grill pan and have already made amazing steaks and grilled veggies. Leaves beautiful grill marks on everything. This pan is extremely heavy and is of great quality. Takes a bit of effort for clean up and maintenance, but worth it for the food it cooks up.

For size reference, we were able to grill 2 16oz NY Strip Steaks with no problem.

The pan looks nice, the box it high quality and makes you feel liek you bought a good product. Then I opened it and pulled it out and the handle was all wobbly right out of the box. Not sure what happened there, but it might explain why a good brand name product was so cheap. Not sure if returning it is worth it considering how much shipping costs since the pan it so heavy, but I hate the wobbly handle. It probably wont be long until it breaks off completely.

the dry wall anchors they supply are useless, if you plan on it holding any weight other than it's own. So, unless, you have wooden studs to screw into, plan on making a trip to the hardware store. Also it's a pain to try and mount it on your own, so I'd recommend having a friend on stand-by to help out. Other than that it's a decent pot rack and has really helped with the clutter in my small kitchen.

When it is time to make a delicate sauce, this is the pan I use. I save this small pan for melting chocolate and cooking delicate sauces that normally require a double boiler. It has a heavy bottom for slow heat transfer and curved sides for whisking the contents.

I use heat in moderation and have never burned anything in my All-Clad pans.

Having said that, I'd buy it again, but just know what you're getting.

This a sexy little pan. The weight is impressive for such a small pan, evident of their 'Handcrafted in the USA' label. It seems All-Clad has always purchased steel from USA based companies and uses local manufacturing with the exception of very little outsourcing on 'non-bonded' items like utensils, etc.. So it is great to see a company still making the bulk of their products here!

We have a gas burning stove and this pan fits perfectly on the burner. I do, however, notice that when it is sitting on a flat surface and there is nothing in the pan, it can rock just slightly, so I am not sure how this would do on a flat surface stove. Other than that, it cooks very uniformly and feels great when holding it.

Great minds think alike. I bought this set for my daughter for Xmas and oddly she bought the exact same set for me for Xmas.

To begin with I was in love with this set. But I am keeping a close eye on it. It seems that the more I use the pans, items are beginning to stick to the bottoms.

I have never put these in the dishwasher....always washed by hand and dried immediately. I have also never used any type of cooking spray on them as I find this tends to ruin pans and make them impossible to clean.

I am hoping this doesn't become a problem in the future, as I really do like the set. It seems well constructed and well worth the money. My pans are calphalon also and I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Cake pans are small ones and so are the bread pans...not full size.

I got all the shapes I needed for a low price. The 8" round cake pans almost look like pie plates so they're a bit smaller than I expected but I didn't need any bigger. The loaf bread is 9" by 5", which I hope helps because I was wondering about the size before buying and I couldn't find the details anywhere. I'm happy with my purchase, they all work great and after baking my breads and muffins just come right out of the pan so the nonstick works great. I wash them by hand and getting any food residue from them is very easy too. They look sturdy, not like other cheap products that seem sheet thin. These are great for regular home baking.

After just one trip through the dishwasher these pans rusted and they rusted quickly. Sadly, I'm into day 40 of owning them and Amazon won't take them back. My only hope is that Calphalon offers a return. After grabbing the muffin pan and having a a few tablespoons of rust water drip from being trapped in the rolled edge my confidence in the product is at zero.

There is rust visible on the rolled underedges, the seams (muffin pan) and already eating away at a small scratch I accidentally put in the cake pan. I have always heard that Calphalon was a great product, this was my first purchase and boy was I disappointed.

I hope it's just a problem in this batch, I will update my review when I hear back from their warranty department.

I've been eyeing this product for a long time before I finally bought it. I do quite a bit of baking and this is a perfect carrier for cakes and cupcakes. Most carriers are either cake carriers or cupcake carriers. The great thing about this product is that it carries cakes or cupcakes. It also works for mini or standard cupcakes. The other wonderful thing about this product is that it's collapsible so it takes up less space. Most carriers that are similar are not collapsible or can only be used for one or the other (cakes or cupcakes). I highly recommend this product.

I got it for $19.99 at Ross and they also sell it for that price at Marshall's. I'd be willing to pay a little more for this product since it's a useful product for a baker to have.

This is a great invention and very versatile as well. It is nice that it folds down to store or to just carry a lower item like a pie. I have not used it yet but it is replacing an old larger cake carrier as well as a pie carrier. Two for one!!

I know two other ppl who have this sharpener and they love it. It is specifically designed for Japanese style narrow-angled blades, but it will work on other knives too. I took this thing out of the box and used it on a bunch of my cheaper, older, dull knives and it worked very well. They feel sharper than they ever were brand new.

The sharpener is easy to use but the box means it when it says don't apply too much pressure. The blade will get stuck or the stone won't turn right so the proper light pressure and smooth back and forth motion is important.

I just got this in the mail yesterday. I had not sharpened my 12" Global Chef Knife since I got it two years ago. It was hurting and it would not even slice thru a tomato's skin! I followed the directions to sharpen it and after eight back and forth motions over each wheel, I cut thru a tomato with no effort at all!

Not sure how long it'll stay sharp, but this product is so easy to use I don't really care!

I even used it on my German knives and it worked real well on those too.

I purchased one of these several months ago after reading a favorable review. It's great, super, fantastic . . . I'd add more superlatives but I'd rather you read the rest of this review. I have other sharpeners and a selection of diamond-surface sharpening devices both hand held and the larger 4" x 10" units. I was skeptical that this small unit could live up to the hype. I was wrong. This little thing is incredible. The instructions understate how many times the knife should be run across the blades especially on a dull knife (make sure you always have water inside the device per the instructions). On a dull knife, double the recommendation of cycles.

You will quickly find that some of your older non-serrated knives can cut just as well as knives costing a lot more. If I'm going to be cooking for a while, I always get this out, so I can make sure my knives are re-sharpened (in case my wife or college-age children have used the knives in the meantime and dulled them a bit). The price is reasonable (considering how well this device performs). I assume at some point the ceramic wheels, which do the hard work of removing hardened steel so the knive blad is sharp, wear out, but I have not yet gotten to that point, and I've sharpened a bunch of knives, including a bunch of large kitchen knives for friends. I assume when the ceramic blades wear out, the device is to be tossed, or that's what the manufacturer wants, because there is no information in the box or instructions on how to get replacement ceramic blades. Even so, this device is a bargain. I was ready to purchase a new set of kitchen knives and this device made it apparent my current knives are more than adequate.

It actually sharpens the knifes (without scarring them up)and is easy to use. Way cool! I found out about it in an article written about Gwynneth Paltrow's kitchen.They spoke about how sharp she keeps her knives and that this is the do-da she uses, just fill it with water, stroke the stones inside, and in less than a minute you can hold a piece of paper and slice it in the air!

Works great, is easy to use. Not the ultimate answer to sharpening your knives forever, but it does the job on a regular basis. Would purchase again.

The design is great, ....just do not leave sitting in water when you are through, as all the joints rusted on 2nd use when we left sitting in the pot of water overnight. This, of course, should not have been left in the water overnight by us, but I really did not expect that to cause it to rust at the joints. Will now need to buy another one.

I needed a canning rack for small jobs (3-4 jars) and this seemed to fit the bill until I realized that I'd still need a rather large (in circumference) pot, since the handles get in the way if the pot is too small. A better choice is the Ball Home Canning Discovery Kit, which comes with 3 jars, complete directions and some great recipes.

The smooth cook top only has a 9 1/2" burner and a regular water bath canner is too large. Besides it says on the canner 'not for use on ceramic cooktops'. This is great since it fits in my tall pasta cooker. I can actually do more than on jar at a time, which is great because at altitude processing takes sooooooo long!!!!
