This is a tough review I do like my dishes and use amazon to fill in the set when one gets broken or chipped I like the fact that I can "fill in" and that's one reason to purchase higher end and or patterned type dinnerware. But the downside to these dishes is that they mark up quite easily on the face of white of the plates and bowls. This marking comes from the silverware (and I have good Oneida flatware as well) and it leaves very visible grey scratch like marks all over that do not come off in the dishwasher or by hand, which in turn makes these look like bargain basement discount dinnerware rather than the $ 60-70 place setting they are. I use a product call Bar Keepers Friend (oxalaic acid) to get rid of the marks every 3 or 4 months, a pain in the rear but it does work.

Also the bowls, both cereal and rice type, chip pretty easily due to the thin rim design, it's just a trade off of design over function but they do chip the plates do not seem to have the same problem. I've had this dinnerware for about 8 years and use it as my everyday dinnerware.

We got these for our wedding three years ago, I chipped one recently on our granite counters. My wife made me buy another to replace it. I'm glad they are still available and reasonably priced.

This gravy boat is sturdy enough for everyday use, yet it is also pretty enough to use for nice occasions. I will still bring out my nice china on Thanksgiving & xmas, but this on has become my everyday sauce boat. The casual color is very festive and brightens the table.

This gravy boat is pretty much what you'd want from a gravy boat; it holds a good amount of gravy, typical ladles fit in it just fine, and it looks nice and is dishwasher safe. Only thing I sometimes wish is that it came with a little matching plate.

I searched high and low for a well designed yet reasonable tea kettle. My last one was great until I let it burn dry for about half an hour, oops. But this one looked really promising. A big enough opening so a man can get his hand in there to wash the kettle and a whistle. A must for me since I often go back to work while the water is heating.

All looked good until I tried it out for the first few times. In all cases the lid did not fit tightly enough to cause the whistle to blow when the water was boiling. All you got was a bunch of steam from all around the lid and no Whistle.

Another slight criticism is the trigger to lift open the spout. It has a rubber like sheath that slides on the the metal trigger to keep your finger form getting too hot or burning. It likes to slide off fairly easily. Not a big deal to slide it back on but you need to be careful about how much pressure you use on the trigger to open the spout.

The Silicon handle does stay cooler to the touch and works well. Seams and stainless steel quality seem good, so if you get one where the lid fits correctly you may end up with a quite serviceable tea kettle.

Amazon was great about returning the item and I ended up with a Farberwear Sonoma but alas that had problems of its own.

Am I really forced to buy a $100 plus kettle from England to get one that works without fail? I'll keep searching til I find one that simply boils water, whistles, and does not rust.

UPDATE:

Found the almost perfect kettle and under $50...............................NO Whistle though

Demeyere 4.2-qt. Stainless Steel Water Kettle, Resto

Heats fast, well made, no rust (owned since June and it is now Dec, some water in it all the time) Big enough to get your hand in (small to medium :)) to clean and looks great.

Not too hard to find. Amazon should pick the line up!

For the last five years I've been using a quite large kettle of a different brand. It didn't have a whistle so I had to carry my timer for my twice daily tea. As it was starting to look a bit long in the tooth I began looking around for a replacement and this one seemed to fit the bill. Large size and base, whistle, RED... Seemed perfect, and it almost is perfect, but not quite. I'm a male with XXL size hands and the top being right under the handle and latch make for getting it on and off a bit awkward. Someone with smaller hands would never even notice this. The base is very large which it great for stability and because of that I thought I could use the large burner on our gas stove, and I can, if I don't turn it up to high. If on high the handle gets quite hot, but really not a big deal as works perfect on small burner or set on medium on large burner. Another small flaw is that the latch/trigger is sheathed in rubber which is not glued in place. After using it several times the rubber almost slips all the way off and if I'm not thinking about it that trigger gets hot. Don't know if it is just the one I got or if they are all like that but I'll probably shoot in a couple of drops of super glue and the problem should go away. The last little thing is that the pot is so shiny and we have such hard water that water spots show on it something terrible. A quick wipe with a rag and it is fine but my last pot was textured and absolutely nothing showed on it so I guess I'm just picking nits.

Actually I'm very pleased with the pot. The large base makes it as steady as a brick, I love the red, the whistle is just loud enough to let me know it is ready but not so loud as to be a siren to wake the whole household, and the kettle holds a lot of water. Even with my little complaints I'm eminently satisfied with my purchase.

Update: I've now had the pot for about a month and still love it. The extra large pouring spout is great! Never realized how bad the small ones normally found on teapots were until I got to use this one. This is a huge check in the plus column. Apparently the rubber over the latch/trigger is heat shrink. After the first couple of uses it tightened up perfectly and has not been an issue since. No glue needed. I noticed one person complained that the paint wiped off but that has not been my experience. They may have had a defective pot. Another said that the whistle is "wimpy". As on any pot, do not fill past the neck/spout opening or the whistle will not operate correctly. My experience is that the whistle can be heard easily from any corner of our single floor home. With this pot I use medium/high heat on the large burner or high on a small burner so the handles do not get overly warm. Because of the large base and the shape heat does bleed to the non-rubberized parts of the handle, although the rubberized parts never get more than warm. Over the years I've had a lot of pots and this is my favorite of all of them.

Update: after 4 month of living with this pot I am still a bit conflicted. The manufacturer has to address a couple of issues. The handle is definitely too close to the pot and the rubber handle and latch covers are way too thin so they conduct far too much heat. I love the size, the wide base and the large spout, but the handle design is a grave defect. I'd still buy this one as I've not found another that meets my needs, but until these issues are addressed I'm not sure if I'd endorse others buying it.

Best Deals for Primula 3 Quart Soft Grip Whistling Stainless Steel Tea Kettle

This item is border line fraudulent. The "stainless" steel corroded around the lid and the top of the kettle in 30 days. The "insulated" handle keeps cool only if the kettle is half full or less, and the insulated tab on the spout cover lever slides off as you use it. Junk, pure & simple.

Honest reviews on Primula 3 Quart Soft Grip Whistling Stainless Steel Tea Kettle

Have been using this water kettle and love the color and design. Seems to work good and heats up just like any other water kettle I have used. I like the dark red color as it gives a great pop of color on my stove. The whistle is not quite as loud as I would expect, but I think it is because the top cover lid lets some of the steam out which in turn doesn't build up a lot of pressure for the whistle to be as loud as it could. I pushed down on it while I was heating some water up and the whistle got louder so I am pretty sure this is the case. The top does fit snugly(Please see my short video review); so I am not sure if it could possibly a minor design flaw or what, but I still like this kettle. I will update 3-4 months down the road to give a update of real life day to day use and how it is holding up. Look for my picture after I got done baking some honey oat wheat bread and you can see the kettle.

Gorgeous! Red is not my favorite color, but I may have to rethink my position on that after receiving this kettle. The deep red finish is beautiful.

It is a very attractive design, lightweight and easy to use. The center cover pops out easily for washing or filling. I was very pleased to find this combination of features in a stainless steel kettle--I don't cook with aluminum.

I personally had no problem with the sound-level of the whistle. After reading other reviews, I expected it to be some faint whisper that I could barely hear. On the contrary, it was quite loud enough for my use. I am in an apartment, not a large house, so I cannot speak to whether it would be audible if one were on a different floor or several rooms away. For my purposes, it is just fine.

I did just receive this today, so will have to wait to determine any long-term use issues. But, on first glance, I love it. It's a keeper.

To address complaints in less favorable reviews: I wash new kitchen utensils before using them, and washed the kettle before use. I also dried it with a paper towel. There was no evidence of any particle of finish rubbing off. Secondly, I experimented by letting the kettle remain on the burner more than a minute after it reached full boil and was whistling. While the metal pieces near the handle did become hot, I could still touch them gingerly & they were not hot enough to cause a burn if brushed against while grasping the handle. *Since first writing this review, I have accidentally touched the metal part of the handle (due to impatience & generally laziness because I reached across the kettle the wrong way to pull it off the burner). It WAS hot, but not enough so that I received a burn or blister. If I'd held on to it longer, maybe. Mainly, just exercise reasonable caution and hold the kettle by the insulated handle as intended. Still a 5-star item for me.

6/27/13: Still love it.

Crepes are incredibly easy to make with this pan. High quality, and the non-stick surface does what it's supposed to. They slide right off every time.

I have the original model of this Anolon Advanced crepe pan from years ago and it is still going strong. I just recently purchased a second one (the pictured item) to replace an old "Crepe Magician" pan that lost its non-stick coating. I like to have two crepe pans going at once when serving a group. The rubber wrapped handle eliminates the need for a hot pad on your hand. This is particularly useful in crepe making when one is moving quickly, swirling batter, flipping the pan, etc.

I was a little hesitant to purchase any Easistore products after reading the "easiburn" review here. But, I needed to purchase cookware that was able to be used with an induction stove, was interested in an eco-friendly product, and I wanted to get a nesting set because I have very limited storage space. And, boy, do these nest! The amount of space saved is amazing. No more wrestling 2 or 3 pots out of the way to get to the skillet.

There is absolutely no design flaw with the lids. They do hold the moisture in and "seal" well. There is a small round hole in the steel rim of the top of the lid. This allows a tiny amount of steam to escape, just enough to allow for simmering without a rattling or bumping lid. I cooked applesauce in these and did not lose any moisture. I think you would be able to steam vegetables or rice with this, but as they teach in Home Ec 1, the right tool for the right job. Get a rice steamer if you really want to steam. Besides, you can't have a lid that seals that tightly or you have a closed expanding system -that's the reason you have those wingnuts on a pressure cooker. To keep the lid from flying off! Basic physics. The second hole is actually a cut out in the interior rim of the lid and does not allow moisture to escape as it is entirely within the pot when the lid is on and is not a hole to the exterior as long as you do not line it up with the handle (only applicable in the larger size). There is an arrow engraved on the top of the lid to easily identify where this opening is. It is there to allow for closer stacking -lets the handles through from the smaller pots.

The second design flaw claim does have a bit of validity. However, it is one pan out of the set the 3 quart. No tight sealing lid, outside a pressure cooker (see above), is going to prevent boilover. My first reaction to boilover is to lift the lid to release the pressure, which usually stops the boiling over. If you do lift the pot, I could see that the handle might be hot. Knowing that this is a possibility and reducing boilovers makes this a non-issue in my opinion.

I have found these to be quality cookware and have not had any problems with them. Glad I bought them. Amazon does not always have the lowest price. Check motherearthnews.com they had them 50% off in November. Only giving 4 stars because these are made in China, not locally in the US.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I was excited to buy this product, I loved the looks and the e-use of materials. But the design has 2 big cooking flaws. First, the lids have vent holes in the top and side (I assume the side hole is for draining out cooking liquids) which prevents them from being tight-fitting, steam retentive lids. No cooking rice or steaming anything with these. One of the things they teach in Home Ec 1 is to buy a pan with a tight, moisture retentive lid.

More serious is the larger pan, the bottom one of the nest. It has a handle that extends straight from the edge of the pan, and the handle is trough-shaped, with a hanging hole a couple of inches from the end. Problem is, if you have a boil-over in this pan, the scalding liquid travels past the pan edge (no tight lid to stop this) and right up the trough, then exits at the hole. Any cook knows a first reaction to this occurrence is to pull the pan off the heat, which puts your hand in the path of the scalding liquid exiting the hanging hole. Unexpected and unsafe.

Best Deals for Natural Home 10 Piece Easistore Nesting Cookware Set

I bought these for my Mom, who has very limited storage space. She loves them. They nest, they are heavy duty and cook well. The only issue we have is we can't get anyone at the company to respond to our request for a replacement part. (My brother cooked the pot knob, and we'd like to replace it.) Outside of that, the pots really do nest well and cook well.

Honest reviews on Natural Home 10 Piece Easistore Nesting Cookware Set

This is not 'green' cookware. I ordered some pots and the glass & steel lids have a plastic knob (verified by the manufacturer) that wraps into the inside of the lid. If you cook with the lid on, the moisture condensation will expose your food to a significant amount of plastic. If you want to avoid possible toxins from plastic cookware, this product is not for you.

I paid $10 shipping for this product and to return it, Natural Home insists I pay the return shipping too. So I either keep the pots and don't use the lids, or I return them and am out $20-$25 shipping costs for nothing but wasted time and money.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Natural Home 10 Piece Easistore Nesting Cookware Set

My 2 quart sauce pan leaks through the welds where the rivets hold the handle in place. I didn't notice until my return time had expired and I haven't been able to find any way to contact the manufacturer online about what I can do to replace the defective pot. The only reason I didn't give it a one star is that the other pieces seem to work for now. Again, I think the concept is great, they just need to be made better.

UPDATE:

I finally found my package insert with the customer service number (don't know why but I couldn't find it on the net). They couldn't replace the 2 qt pan by itself so they sent me a new 2 and 3 qt set free of charge. I can't help but say customer service was exceptional. The new pan works great, no leaks!

After watching so many cooking shows where they featured All-Clad stainless steel products (and needing a 3-quart saucier), I went ahead and splurged on this little number. And, I will never go back to aluminum cookery again. So far, I've used it for gravies, tomato sauces, cheese sauces, etc., and it's an absolute joy to use. It heats so evenly on my gas stove, even on low heat. And, the shape is an absolute must for whisking sauces. It's also very stable and well balanced, with no tipping issues due to the long handle, even when empty. And, cleanup is a breeze. This is well worth the price and will soon become your favorite pan in the kitchen.

When it is time to make a delicate sauce, this is the pan I use. I save this small pan for melting chocolate and cooking delicate sauces that normally require a double boiler. It has a heavy bottom for slow heat transfer and curved sides for whisking the contents.

I use heat in moderation and have never burned anything in my All-Clad pans.

This pan works great for oatmeal, warming soup, and other small needs.

It cleans very well (get the Barkeepers for a great shine!)

I have had a lot of different brand name cookware, but none compares to All-Clad.

Honest reviews on All Clad Stainless Steel 3-Ply Bonded Dishwasher Safe Saucier Pan

This is a handy little pan, cooks well, easy to store, great size for quick small things and evaporates well for sauces. I use it frequently, but taking off 2 stars because the handle is too heavy for the pot which makes it tip over constantly. I suppose I could have taken off 1 star, but I'm trying to balance out the other reviews since no one else mentioned it and it really is a fairly annoying design mistake. Having said that, I'd buy it again, but just know what you're getting.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for All Clad Stainless Steel 3-Ply Bonded Dishwasher Safe Saucier Pan

This a sexy little pan. The weight is impressive for such a small pan, evident of their 'Handcrafted in the USA' label. It seems All-Clad has always purchased steel from USA based companies and uses local manufacturing with the exception of very little outsourcing on 'non-bonded' items like utensils, etc.. So it is great to see a company still making the bulk of their products here!

We have a gas burning stove and this pan fits perfectly on the burner. I do, however, notice that when it is sitting on a flat surface and there is nothing in the pan, it can rock just slightly, so I am not sure how this would do on a flat surface stove. Other than that, it cooks very uniformly and feels great when holding it.

I love this pan! I've been cooking for a living for more than 25 years and this is one of the best teflon pans I've ever used. Nice heavy aluminum, not one that feels like it was made out of a pop can. Handle feels very strong and is comfortable to grip. Made my husband fried eggs without using any grease and the eggs came out perfect. You taste the eggs not the grease. It came clean with just a quick wipe. The enamel on the outside is beautiful, shading from light to deep blue. I am looking forward to getting more of this cookware.

Best Deals for Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick 12-1/2-Inch Skillet

I hardly ever do reviews on Amazon, but I'm doing this to save you the disappointment I have experienced.

I got this skillet in December 2011 (not through Amazon). I used the skillet with extreme caution so as not to damage the inside. I have used these types of skillets as long as they have been made and until now got years of service out of them. I NEVER put it or for that matter any metal skillet or pan in the dishwasher or used a metal utensil in it. After no more than 6 uses, the inside coating started peeling out in chunks up to 1 inch.

I contacted the company and was told I had to ship it to them (me paying for the shipping). They would then review the product and determine then if they would replace or if it had not been taken care of properly. I was also told it could take up to 12 weeks before I may receive a replacement. So I'm without a big skillet for that long--I only have 1 12-1/2 inch skillet. Would they actually replace? Who knows... I have spent all the money that I ever will on Rachel Ray products. No Rachel Ray for me and I would highly recommend you purchase something besides Rachel Ray, unless you like to gamble or wish to make an investment in the product (initial purchase, shipping fees to return and maybe get a replacement and be without a skillet while they decide if they will replace it).

Honest reviews on Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick 12-1/2-Inch Skillet

First I would say this pan is a pan. It is coated with teflon and works wonders. It is a bit oversized compared to the standard 12 in pan and makes me that much happier.

I like the high sides and makes it that much easier to cook with. The teflon seems very durable and should last a long time.

The rivets are not coated and things can accumulate around them. Just clean around the rivets and you should be fine.

The paint job on this looks awesome...a two tone color that really looks nice...unless you got the one I did. I got one with a nick in it and someone had the nerve to color over it with a blue marker.

I have used this numerous times so far. It works great and as described. I can see the bottom wearing off first, then maybe the teflon over normal or high use.

With the price and happiness it has brought me so far, I would recommend it to all!

UPDATE 1/30/13: I would say that though this pan is still a nice pan, it doesn't seem to hold well with use. The Teflon already has scratches in it where other brands I use do not. It seems that the Teflon isn't as thick as others that I have. I would say long term, it may not hold up as long as I would have expected.

Wanted this set...but when I saw the saute pan I couldnt resisit. I thought that the pan would have come with a top, but I guess I have to wait for the full set. Otherwise I love the color, this one is a two toned blue, some are just plain ole blue so it gives it a bit more of a design instead of boring blue. The pan is a bit heavy, but my hands arent that great due to sickness but I manage. Pan is great, non-stick, none of the color fading or washing off. Would buy other sets, if she came out with a lightweight set I would love it also.

This tureen and lid survived an extended tumble down a long, steep, brick driveway, and emerged in perfect condition. Surely a lower quality piece whose ears and pedestal were not 'built in' to the main bowl would not have made it.

Most footed bowls seem unstable or awkward to me, but the heft of the pedestal keeps this one balanced so it seems to be glued to the table, rather than waiting for an opportunity to topple.

The detailing is precise. True to Pillivuyt's claims, these can definitely mingle on the table with fine china as long as your china is nice enough to stand with this functional porcelain; some of my vintage pieces are definitively out shined.

For those of you who want a review from a lover of cast iron that actually owns this...

I love all my cast iron cookware, except this one. The enamel coating on it is horrible. I'm not sure you should even season something that has been enameled, and I would be willing to try (probably ruining the griddle completely), except that this griddle really does not hold heat evenly. I am going to give this one back to my mother in law and buy a lodge logic.

sorry Emeril, you rock, just don't like this piece.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Well, I bought it at Macy's whilst browsing. I wasn't really looking for it, but when I hefted the box, I thought that this was a SERIOUS piece of cooking equipment. Emerilware has some real crap in its line, but this seemed promising.

Well, 4 months later, I really really like it. But it isn't a traditional "put stuff on it and it works" type of device. Nope, some learning about how to use it and more about how to care for it are necessary to produce maximum benefits.

The first has been mentioned, it must be sprayed with PAM before heating. Each and Every time. Second, it takes a long long time to heat up, think at least 15 minutes (like pre-heating an oven, start this before cooking). Third, it might not fit your burners the way you like it to (especially with gas burners) but with a little time and practice one can find harmony between surface flatness, even heat distribution, and stability.

I am still learning on the care/cleaning requirements, as the directions provided are laughably inadequate. That is why I can't classify it as a 5-star product.

But it unquestionably opens new cooking frontiers for quick dinners or large breakfasts. Maybe there's a better one, and I have seen the catastrophic failures. But it sure makes cooking and more importantly eating more fun.

I have used this product as a grill and griddle over the past month. The trick here is to heat up the grill or griddle, then, brush oil or butter on it. Pancake and eggs slide around. Steak develops nice grill marks.

I use stainless steel utensils with this product.

Clean up was easy when I allowed it to heat up then brush oil or butter.

I do not own this pan, but I am a lover of cast iron cookware in general, and thus feel compelled to respond to this earlier negative review.

First of all ALL cast iron pans, whether "pre-seasoned" or raw, need to be seasoned after you buy them. Several times for best results.('seasoning' usually means baking the pan with oil in it for a good period of time to seal off the pores in the metal surface). You will not get non-stick results out of the box, no matter what you buy. I own a "pre-seasoned" 8-quart dutch oven from the Emeril series, and the pan needed to be seasoned after I got it (as did my "pre-seasoned" 12-inch Lodge skillet). I also have a smaller Lodge skillet that I bought "raw" and it's worth noting that it took significantly longer to get it to non-stick level of seasoning. So pre-seasoning helps, but does not eliminate the need for the honorable task of seasoning your pan. Regardless of issues of seasoning, my Emeril dutch oven has performed beautifully, it is very solid, has classic lines and is well-made at an accessible price, which I very much appreciate. I can't imagine the grill pan is much different. Cast iron is pretty simple, and the Emeril series seems to do it right.

2) Cast iron is unique and awesome in part because it holds heat so well, but it does need to be preheated for several minutes for full effect to allow the heat to spread out and transfer to the entire pan. Obviously a pan that covers two burners is going to have hot spots to some degree, but allowing a good 5-8 minutes for the pan to preheat will significantly reduce this. I don't know if the previous reviewer allowed enough time for preheating, which may have contributed to his/her complaints about uneven cooking. Cast iron gives the most even cooking of any cooking surface out there, for the exact same reasons that people most often complain about it it's really heavy and it gets really hot and stays that way. Certainly cast iron cooks more evenly than the electric skillet the previous reviewer mentioned buying instead. I could be completely wrong, this pan may have horrible hot spots, and as I said, I don't own this pan, but this sounds to me like it could be a user problem.

3) You can't use a cast iron pan once and throw it in the trash! It may take a month or more to get the pan to a stage where it will create the beautifully browned, crisped non-stick results that cast iron lovers rave about. Patience (and turning a deaf ear to naysayers) is well-rewarded. In my experience it doesn't make a ton of difference which manufacturer you go with, in terms of the performance of the surface or metal itself. Cast iron pretty much performs like cast iron. Variations among brands have more to do with what shape or size you like, which design feels better in your hand. The thing that makes the biggest difference in the results you'll get from cast iron is in how you treat the pan. I cook sometimes in my job as a personal assistant, and my boss has a full set of very expensive Le Creuset enameled (and some non-enameled) cast iron that barely gets used, and it's not as enjoyable to cook with as a result. I would choose my five dollar raw cast iron skillet any day of the week. The results I get from the pan are stellar because it is used often and well-loved, and therefore has a fabulous well-seasoned surface.

So I will say, if you buy this pan and it's your first piece of cast iron, give it a month or two before you decide whether or not you like it.

Which brings me to the other reason I love cast iron so much because it requires a bit of effort and patience in the beginning, I've found I really have a relationship with my cast iron pans. I LOVE my cast iron pans! (maybe this makes me crazy, but if so, it's a very enjoyable form of insanity :) ) It's a simple, humble material that will last a lifetime remember that old phrase "wears like iron?" so I highly recommend making the leap into the wonderful world of cast iron, whether with this pan or another one. Just remember that it takes a bit of patience and a bit of doing, but you will be rewarded with a friend that is (almost) as reliable as death and taxes.

This pot came with my set and I really had my doubts as to how it would work out. Well, it is fanatastic. Cooking spaghetti, lasagna, crabs legs a pure pleasure, everything fits perfectly. I make my soups in it and no matter what I cook NOTHING sticks. I recently made a sweet and sour brisket surrounded by stuffed cabbage and everything came out perfectly. To my surprise I didn't have to use 2 pots to cook everything. I truly don't know why people are having trouble but I've found that you have to use a much lower heat setting as the pot conducts the heat quickly.

I ordered a spaghetti pot like this from QVC in early January. Thinking ahead (for once) to get a nice Valentine's gift for my wife. The QVC ad said it might take several weeks for the order to be shipped. After three weeks and with no delivery, I started to worry about QVC not delivering the item. I contacted QVC and they said there was a problem with my credit card and they cancelled the order without contacting me. At that time it was too late to order one somewhere else, so our Valentine Day was ruined. The product seems good, in fact, I bought an entire set, without the spaghetti pot from someone else after Valentine's Day in an attempt to make up for the ruined day.

This isn't really a review of the product but something for buyers to be aware of. I've been looking to buy a small copper roaster to match my 2.5mm Mauviel pans. I bought one from WS but it turned out not to be 2.5mm even though their site claims it is. I returned it right away. I found this roaster on Amazon also claiming to be 2.5mm. I ordered it figuring if it didn't turn out to be 2.5mm, I could return it. This is not a 2.5mm pan as advertised. Looking at the rim I can see the thickness of the metal is not even close to 2.5mm. I have a large Mauviel roaster that is 2.0mm and is quite heavy. I would say this pan may not even be 2.0mm but it's close. I've decided to keep it even though it's not as advertised. I suspect Mauviel doesn't make 2.5mm roasters anymore. This is going to be the thickness for the top end roaster. All that being said, it's a well made roaster. The cast iron handle really compliments the copper body. It will look even better when it develops a patina. My large copper roaster is almost too heavy. So this one will be more practical for regular use.
