I am not sure why the other reviews are complaining about this set. I have had the set for over a year and am very happy with it. Why waste your money at williams sanoma for ridiculously over-priced all clad cookware? This set is basically the generic version of the all clads, and the stainless steel is fine. I have never heard of butter turning steel black or rusting it, and "everything sticks"? Use some oil! Many of the complaints in reviews I have read are a result of user error.

These are decently heavy and have a nice thick bottom. The lips on the sauce pans allow for easy pouring. The lids are glass, so you can see inside while cooking. My friend is a professional chef and uses the same wolfgang puck cafe set in his own home, except his is the older set with the cheaper handles. The handles on this set are a drastic improvement and stay cool on the range.

My only complaint would be the rivets that hold the handle to the pot. They are not stainless and have dents and scratches on them (like I care). I have read other reviews that say they corrode when left overnight with acidic food in them. It seems pretty obvious that this is a bad idea no matter what kind of rivets the pan has. I have soaked these in the sink overnight with dish detergent and water and never had a problem.

Overall this is a great value for how much you get. These are not the top of the line pots and pans but they work perfectly fine for home cooking. The utensils that come with it are a little thin and bendable, but they are all stainless and I guess a nice little bonus. This set comes with a lot for the money. Just because a celebrity chef slaps their name on a product, or it comes from china, doesn't always mean its going to be poorly made.

My wife and I bought Wolfgang Puck's Bistro series a few years ago and were very impressed. So impressed that we bought a smaller Bistro Elite set to round out our cookware inventory.

The Bistro series were made out of true 18/10 stainless steel and one piece, tri-ply bottom, blanks. They were also fairly heavy gauge steel.

Recently she bought this set for a house we are renting in FL. After reading the box I wasn't sure but for $100.00 I figured we could try them.

These are what he calls the Cafe series. They are not 18/10 stainless and will probably corrode without diligent care. They are a much thinner guage of metal. My biggest concern was the bottoms. They are not an integral part of the piece but tack welded on to the finished pot. Also the aluminum disk inside has been reduced to a scant 4mm.

After using them for a month I will say they perform better than expected. They do heat up quickly and evenly so cooking with them is a pleasant experience. They are NOT non-stick but no stainless is. On the down side because they are so thin the handles do get hot very quickly. It's not a big deal as long as you remember to test the handle before grabbing it or use a pot holder. I have had no trouble cleaning them and haven't experienced the staining others have mentioned.

When you consider a similar set from All-Clad would be around $1500.00 I guess they're not a bad deal. Just realize you are not going to get All-Clad quality and durability and you should be happy. I would recommend them for someone who absolutely cannot spend more than $100.00 for a decent assortment of cookware. It you're looking for top quality performance and lifetime durability then look elsewhere.

When I first read reviews for this product I thought I would never own it. I pictured the set being just plan junk. My wife and I were not in the market for replacing our old Lynn's stainless steal set until we came upon them in one of the retail stores here in Reno. I picked them up and found myself just plan surprised with how heavy duty they seemed. I decided to buy the 10 qt stock, the 8 qt stock, the 6 qt stock, a 10 inch skillet and the 1.5, 2 and 3 qt sauce pans. After using them for a month I now have purchased a full set, including wok, two mini casserole pans and a Pizza serving plate. I really love this cookware.

I would say while it does not compare to my fathers American Made Emeril-ware set it is spot on when comparing it to the Emeril-ware now made in China. It is put together very well and the only problem I have is finding a good spot to store all the glass lids. The pots, pans and skillets I have hanging on the wall off of a pot rack but the lids just take up a ton of space for items I do not use too often. I wish the lids were more of universal sizes so that I could get rid of half of them.

I have cooked many different dishes over the last 3-4 months as I have a cooking website called . We have made red wine sauces, soups, pasta, stir fried, roasted a chicken and made many other things without any of the defects I saw people complain of. I use a little olive oil and preheat my pans just as I have always with any stainless set with out a problem. The lids hold up well and the rivets hold tight! I can not see going wrong with this set if you like to cook and do not want to fork out a few grand for a professional set.

I hope you enjoy these pots and pans as much as we have! And if you figure out a better way to store the lids give me a heads up!

I have had my set since 2005 and the set works great. The wok pan is a little thin but works fine, but overall, it is a great set that I love to use. You can't complain about the price either.

When we bought this pan the salesperson promised us the moon, stars and eternal life.

They lied.

The diamond coating is under the non stick surface to help bond it, but the nonstick coating is still a fragile surface that does not hold up in

daily use. Our's didn't.

The pan was great while it lasted, so good that 3 months later we decided to buy an entire set of pans from Woll.

The first pan we bought while traveling, the rest online.

At 6 months the nonstick coating began to fail on the pan we used daily. At 12 months it looked like something purchased at Walmart in the markdown bin.

Not what you expect for over $100

The pans we don't use at all look great. If you must own these,

plan on replacing them out of pocket frequently if you use them. If you want that long life expectancy promised by the salesman. I suggest that you don't use them.

Not using the pan should prolong the life of the non stick finish indefinitely. Sorry about the sarcasm but I'm really disappointed in both Woll and the pan.

I tried contacting Woll several times to try and get instructions on how to warranty the pan but have never received a reply.

It's been really upsetting.

Take a minute and Google their warranty service yourself, before purchasing. Couldn't find it? Me neither. I finally sent some Emails to

Corporate pleading for them to be redirected to the customer service or warranty dept.

It's been six months since my last attempt at warrantying the 12 1/2 fry pan. That's long enough to wait for a return email.

I'm sure not providing a way for someone to return their products for warranty saves the corporation a lot of money but it

sucks for the consumer.

I've gone to local shops selling Woll products and they have refused to honor the warranty for us because we did not purchase our pans there.

I can't really blame them.

Anyone want a ham, cheese omelet with just a hint of nonstick coating in it for that special flavor?

Save your money. Someday someone will create a durable nonstick pan, but it is not this one.

Got this to replace my favorite "giant" Calphalon non-stick stainless skillet, which finally needed to be retired after a decade of moderate use surface at last became too worn and scratched for safety. Thought I could at least continue using the 12-plus inch glass lid (fully 12.5" as measured with metal rim). This first-class advanced nonstick monster seemed just the ticket... But alas, the Woll is actually OVER 12.5" a generous 32cm INTERIOR measurement translates to more like 12.7"/ a full 13" exterior width, and without the Calphalon's sloped sides, the old lid just neatly drops straight down past the rim to its perfectly flat bottom surface. So I had to order the expensive Woll stainless & glass lid afterall at least it should last a lifetime anyway.

Though heavier and more shallow than it would seem, based on the photo (probably depicting their smaller sized model?), it sure does appear to be as durable and functionally advanced for hot water rinse and paper towel wipe cleanup convenience for many years to come. Though not the super-slippery Tfal coating some people expect, this is a far superior nonstick material than all those "new" ceramic surfaced "Green" cookware products boast about. If that's what you're looking for, you'd do much better just getting an old-fashioned porcelain-on-cast-iron skillet like grandma used; I have tried to make an "Orgreenic" pan work as advertized and there's just no way (stickier than unpolished stainless!). We'll see how it holds up, but so far, this pan works brilliantly for all my giant skillet needs.

This is a fantastic pan! The pan is thick (10mm) but it's light because it's solid aluminum (BTW, don't let self-appointed health "experts" convince you that aluminum gives you alzheimer's disease. The growing body of evidence proves it does not). There's no PFOA (which IS quite harmful) because they found a way to infuse the non-stick coating right to the metal directly. That means it'll withstand the scratches and heat and abuse better than most non-sticks. So far, that's entirely true. I scraped the tines of my fork hard on a spot towards the rim of the pan and it didn't scratch off the nonstick. I also took my heavy spoons and spatulas and tapped them firmly against the rim like I would when I'm cooking to see if it'd ding up and leave marks. It did NOT. By all accounts, the diamond-plus pans are incredibly durable. The vendor claims that even if it discolors a bit or gets scratched (which I haven't been able to accomplish by being rough on it), there's no harm because the non-stick coating is fused to the metal. Gotta say I'm loving it so far. Time will tell if they hold up like this in a year or two. I'll report back.

It also cooks incredibly evenly and heats up/cools off quickly because of the aluminum. For example, on my old crappy pots and pans, if I turn the burner on high with an inch of water in the bottom, there'll be like a ring of bubbles right where the elements are or right where the warped pan bottoms touch the heating elements. But in THIS pan, the heat is transferred evenly and thus the entire surface bubbles evenly showing me that the whole bottom is the same temperature. Things fry the exact same way in this pan...there's no "hot spot". I fried up a bunch of sausage (without greasing the pan at all first) and after each turn, they all had the same browning level which told me the sausages on the edge had the same heat under them as the sausages in the middle of the pan. Finally! I was tired of having to rotate them to different spots in the pan so there weren't burnt ones and raw ones.

The pan is incredibly flat and precise. There's no rocking when it's on a flat surface because the bottom was turned with precision. Now, if there is a fault with this pan (and I don't know that this is the fault of the pan) its that the super shiny underside picks up stains quickly and they're hard to scour off because of the texture. On the other hand, that texture makes it nice and grippy so it doesn't slide around on my flat glass range. On my old pans, the slightest touch to the handle can send it spinning all the way around in a circle or send it off the glassy burner altogether. THIS pan absolutely does not. Something about it grips really well to the glass surface I've got.

I don't want to get sucked in by the hype of the "making of" videos, but so far this is performing fantastically and just as advertised. But as I've heard others mention, almost ALL nonstick works great at first. It's not until you use it for a year or two before you find out what it's really made of. I'll keep everyone posted with my findings as time goes on.

Honest reviews on Woll Diamond Plus Fry Pan

...because this is the most perfect nonstick small skillet/egg pan ever! Much better price elsewhere on the Internet; but I can't imagine a better designed & manufactured piece of essential cookware. Balance/weight, range of temperature, ease of use/cleanup, and adaptability with existing 8" glass lids and all heat sources (except induction) make this the "holy grail" of daily necessity cookware for me. Woll is unbeatable and well worth even this premium price, as far as I'm concerned. As my last essential utility nonstick pan, a 9.5" sauté, rapidly approaches its nonstick end I'm impatiently looking forward to replacing it with a Woll Nowo Titanium one. Don't even think about trying newfangled ceramic nonstick surface "experiments" they DO NOT WORK. Woll seems to have perfected ultimate practically indestructible rinse'n'wipe cookware technology! Will just have to see how it holds up but I'd wager it will continue working like new for a decade or more. Couldn't be happier!

Take it from one who does the pan cleaning, nothing sticks to this pan. It is so nice to basically rinse this pan under the sink faucet and EVERYTHING just falls off. A quick wipe with a sponge and you're done. Heating is even and unless you want it burned, it surely won't do that.

I'm glad the other reviewers have had such a good experience with this pan, but that's not been my experience, I wish it was but it wasn't. I purchased this (not from Amazon) for the reason most people do, trying to go green and stay away from chemicals. On that basis I guess its fine, but to call this pan non-stick is a real stretch. I would describe it as Non-Stick for a short time in the beginning or almost Non-Stick on some type of foods or Non-Stick for cooking eggs if you add lots of butter or oil to the pan. The pan does clean up easily thou and that's good cause half your cooked egg will still be there when you wash it. I own many Cuisinart products and have always been impressed with their quality and value. But this item does not even come close to meeting my expectations.

I bought this because I have an induction range and needed new non-stick cookware. I really love this skillet! The non-stick finish is the hardest I've ever seen and the pan is heavy and heats evenly. Packaging is recycled. The handle is made from recycled steel. It's safe to put in the oven. It is petroleum free, PTFEand PFOA-free.

Now I'm here to purchase the 12 inch version.

Highly recommended.

I love this skillet...wish I had a 10" one as well, and even a 12". No matter what the product, scrambled eggs stick a little. So it is with this one. However, it isn't really stuck, it just isn't incorporated into the eggs that come out of the pan. A quick wipe with a paper towel and the "stuck" eggs are gone.

I also like the fact that if you preheat it (don't get it too hot) it doesn't emit toxic fumes like standard non-stick materials.

The price is right, the product is awesome.

Needed to find a pan to use on my new glass cooktop. Delighted to find this Teflon substitute which is made without the bad chemicals of other non stick pans. Liked it so much, I bought another one in a bigger size.

I looked for quite awhile trying to find a small nonstick pan that didn't have Teflon or other carcinogens. This pan works extremely well better than expected. I cook eggs with NO oil and they slide right off like in infomercials. The handle is at a good angle, the pan is attractive, and it works! Highly recommended!

Staub La Theiere Round Teapot Reviews

Staub 1 Quart Round Teapot, Black
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

This teapot was at the top of my wishlist last Christmas (except in the color "le bleu"), and I was thrilled to find it under the tree! It is, by far, the most beautiful and interesting teapot I've ever seen and it dresses up my stove and kitchen even more than I had imagined. It is always one of the first things admired when someone new walks into my kitchen. It has an almost asian aesthetic which I find incredibly unique, and I love the way the handles fold down to allow you to remove the whole top. Not only is it sooooooo cool, but it's also nice to be able to get at the inside of the teapot to clean it. All the other ones I've owned had a very small top which made it difficult to clean off those hard water spots! But while this is the most beautiful and unique teapot, it is certainly not the most practical and it falls a little short in the function department. My complaints with it are the following:

1)Its terribly small girth: I have a professional Thermador rangetop with massive burners and this poor little teapot gets swallowed up by them. I have to have the burner on medium-low to low as to not have flames lopping up the sides of the teapot. This, coupled with the fact that cast iron is slow to heat up anyway, makes the task of heating up water take WAY longer than my old stainless steel model. Also, the small size is generally fine for everyday use, but if you are trying to boil teawater for more than a few people, then this teapot cannot accomodate your needs.

2)Its weight: Don't be fooled by its petite size, this is one heavy teapot! It doesn't pose too much of a problem for me, being that I'm still relatively young and strong, but if I were much older or had arthritis or other joint problems, I don't think I'd be able to handle this teapot!

3)Hot handle: Now bear in mind that this has always been a problem with every teapot I've ever owned, but those stainless handles get super hot. So hot, in fact, that it requires the use of oven mitts to handle, but again, I expect that from a teapot.

4)No whistle: The last teapot I had whistled, which I found to be a very handy feature. It has been a difficult transition for me without one, b/c I used to rely on the whistle to let me know when the water was at a boil and now I tend to forget to check on the pot.

All that being said, I still wouldn't trade in this teapot. I am so in love with the look of it, that I am willing to compromise on the function department. It may not have all the convenient features of my old teapot, but it still serves its purpose. It does boil water after all!

So for beauty and aesthetics this teapot is off the charts (5 stars all the way), but it earns 3 stars in the function department, leaving me with a final rating of 4 stars. If you can sacrifice a few comforts associated with some other models in order to gain a striking and unique teapot that is sure to become a conversation piece, then I wholeheartedly recommend this teapot to you!

No doubt staub makes a beautiful pot. The problem is poor design. Why? The metal-chrome-plated handles are attached to the pot in a way in which the handles form a loop around a peg on the pot. As part of the pot, this peg is ceramic coated cast-iron. As the metal handle opens and closes, the chrome metal rotates on the ceramic painted pot. You don't need to be an engineer to figure-out that chrome-metal rotating on ceramic paint is clearly an area of high-wear which will rust-out in the long run. Mine started to wear with only 3 openings of the handle. Hope they fix this design. This pot gets five stars for aesthetics, one star for functional durability for the reasons just noted.

Best Deals for Staub La Theiere Round Teapot

This is not only the most beautiful teapot I have ever used but the most useful. Being cast iron core with a luscious eggplant deep purple hue it heats fast and the water stays hot longer. The handles drop down to allow the cover to be removed, Talk about a piece of Zen art.

It looks beautiful on ones stove, or table and literally everyone who has come into the kitchen and has seen it on the stove has remarked what a beautiful teapot I have, and then inquired where they could obtain one. Nice thing is they come in a colour to suit just about any decor.

And because it is so hefty and well made it will probably become an heirloom in many families like French made Le Creuset and Emile Henry which in my family gets handed down generation after generation and is sought after as a gift or requested in a will.

This makes a great gift for a male or a female, for a birthday, wedding shower, mothers or fathers day, graduation or just to say thank you. Yes, the price is a tad steep, but consider the quality, artistic and long life positives. It may be the only teapot one ever will own.

The only caution I would share, is this, for someone with arthritis or difficulty in lifting since it does weight more than a stainless steel or metal teapot.

Honest reviews on Staub La Theiere Round Teapot

This is a Teapot not a Tea kettle. You can both boil your water and brew your tea in this pot because it is cast iron, but the boiling water part is not the point of this teapot. Therefore it does not have a whistle because you are not meant to stick this on the stove and walk away.

Staub teapots follow the Asian Villagers (for example Japanese Tetsubin teapots) way of making tea where you watch the water boil, dump the leaves in and serve from a sturdy cast iron pot that will keep the tea warm for an hour. The cast iron is traditionally meant for a woodstove, stone hearth or firepit. Imagine being by the fire in a cottage in the woods on a crisp fall day, then this would be your pot.

This is an excellent interpretation of the Asian village teapot. It is larger and therefore has many more applications such as making Chai Tea (where you boil the spices and tea), mull wine, apple cider or even make a rich vanilla sauce or warm berry compote for your desert. The round shape is perfect for your whisk and the pouring spout is convenient. It is pretty enough to be brought to the table and the cast iron keeps the sauces warm for round two.

The interior is a dark grey shiny porcelain glaze (not matte as decribed). The cast iron shows through the Sunflower-colored glaze around the spout and makes the pot look a little dirty or unfinished. I would recomend getting this in a darker brighter color to avoid this.

It is also cast in a slightly thinner cast iron than their pots.

This is a beautifully designed tea kettle. Not only can you steep tea in this pot, you can heat your water (or milk, etc.) in it. The design is fantastic and if you care for it properly, like all other cast iron (i.e. wash and dry it as soon as you are done with it) it should last a life time. With all cast iron it really is important to not leave water in it or it may rust.

This is our first piece of Staub. I am generally a big fan of All-Clad and Le Creuset, but when I saw this pot a few years ago, I fell in love with it. We've get the blue one and it really compliments our other kitchen equipment and dishes (Polish pottery with lots of blue).

This is a very functional fondue set (3 in 1, as advertised) it is hard to find alternatives, even in a large price range. If you don't care about looks, but need functional, this is it, if you can swallow the price.

The bad news:

The quality of this set if sub-par.

The copper plating is cheap very cheap. In fact, 3 replacements later, I gave up (the thin copper plating was marred, burned, or completely scratched off out of the box)

The steel is also thin not necessarily a problem, but the unit could easily warp, and doesn't hold as much heat for as long as ceramic/iron sets.

2 stars, given the price (thin steel sets can be found for far less, this copper plating and even the simple ceramic insert doesn't justify the price)

This Swissmar fondue set is excellent. I love how stylish it is. I looked on Amazon and other sites looking for a flexible fondue set that could do:

cheeses

broths for meat

chocolate

Flexibility is what I was looking for. The 3 in 1 is perfect for doing cheese to start with, when done with that course, remove the ceramic bowl, pour the water out of the copper pot, and put in your broth. Although I haven't used it for chocolate yet, I'm sure it will work well for that. Using this setup for cheese is better than ones that have the burner directly heating the bottom of the bowl instead of water between the pot and bowl which more evenly distributes the heat. Others tend to burn on the bottom unless you constantly stir. Of course if you're into the tradition of Swiss fondue cooking, the "thick" part in the bottom is the tasty part for your special guest!

The burner is hot enough to keep your broth simmering unlike another I have used. Also it holds enough fuel to keep things going throughout that course. You will need to refill it between cheese and broth of course make sure it's extinguished and cool before doing so. I used bottled gel purchased from a local cooking store.

An excellent purchase I am very happy with it.

The metal is what you need for the temp. of oil I read. I did a lot of research on this. I ordered two of the lausanne ceramic bowl inserts so each of the 3 courses I did not have to clean it in between. they fit in the Swissmar Lausanne 11 piece copper fondue set perfectly. I use the ceramic for the cheese and chocolate courses . The size is perfect. I had these half full with each course ( cheese, oil, chocolate ) to feed 4 adults. There were left overs with all but the chocolate of course. These are the products to get for sure. So worth the price! Get yourself some extra color coded fondue forks also. This set is so stunning.

Honest reviews on Swissmar Lausanne 11 Piece Copper Fondue Set

We LOVE this fondue set because it allows us to have cheese or broth fondue AND Chocolate fondue!

It's a pretty sturdy set, the only thing I would say about it is that some of the slots for the forks in the splash guard are a little tight and hard to get the fork in and out but that's being very picky. And the first time we ordered it, the ceramic insert was broken but they shipped us a new one the same day!

We always preheat ours for a few minutes and cook everything in a pot on the stove top before we add it to the fondue pot so we can enjoy immediately instead of it taking forever to melt down off of the flame. But, once it's up to temp, it does a great job at keeping everything warm and melty!

I don't know much about cookware. Generally I just pick up pots and pans from Ross or Target at the lowest price. In turn, over the years I've grown used to having to open the lid of my pot after cooking something and dumping it into a colander, and heaven help me if I didn't have a clean one available ("I guess I'll just put something on the lip while pouring out the water and...no, no, don't fall out ACK!") After my well-worn pots finally gave up the ghost I decided to take advantage of my Amazon Prime and look outside of basic retail for a solution. And lo and behold, a pot with a colander built into it. Add to Cart? Whyyesthankyou!

After using it for a few weeks now, it has certainly lived up to expectations. The built-in drainer is simple yet brilliant in its design, making cooking more efficient and hey, having one less dish to clean is no water off my back!

I have glass pan lids and wanted something to keep them standing in. This works however, I wish that they would stand better on their own as they tend to lay a bit on each other when you use ever slot. It holds 8 lids. I have calphalon cookware that I use this with and it works fine.

While no one lid storage rack will work perfectly due to the different lid handle sizes, this one has low and wide enough dividers to do the job better than others that I've tried and discarded. It's a very economical solution to a messy storage problem.

Best Deals for Organized Living Lid Organizer, White

The design of this has a fatal design flaw. each lid will rest against the one next to it. ONLY the two on the ends have something to rest against.

I was able to modify mine to be useful and will upload a picture. only every other slot holds a cover, but now they are completely independent and the rack works as you would hope it would.

once modified, it's quite useful. i only had to use my hands (with gloves; it takes a LOT of force) to make the modification.

Honest reviews on Organized Living Lid Organizer, White

This product is just so-so. Pretty flimsy. I think to make it work for a lid rack the prongs should come up higher. The way it is now the lids flop around and aren't held upright. I'm using it for now because I don't want to pay to return it, but I wouldn't buy it again.

I have a simple "scale" for reviewing items.

3 stars = meets expectations

4 or more exceeds expectations and of course

1 or 2 = fails to meet expectations.

So I got this because it looked like it would work. Unfortunately its a terribly designed product. Look at the picture I uploaded. My first complaint is that the uprights that hold the lids are WAY to short causing the lids to stick together. Secondly the unit has 4 "feet" which are nothing more than loops of wire. This makes the unit impossible to secure if you want a permanent in drawer solution, more importantly since it doesn't have any rubber tabs or anything the unit slides around in a drawer. I bought this to put into a very thin drawer that is only 10" wide and since it slides when you pull the drawer out you would always have to adjust it. I put up with it for a few days then just returned it.

I just bought this White Wire Lid and Plate Holder

Its only a few dollars more and its a MILLION times better. (just look at the uploaded comparison pic.

To start off its taller has rails on the bottom where I can put a couple of screws to secure it to my drawer. AND its a thicker gauge metal wire not the cheap wire hanger material.

I researched for a long time for a rack that would fit my space but still have enough storage space. I was very happy with this purchase. I ended up having to use it as the small size and it still has tons of storage. love my rack and love how much space is freed up in my small kitchen with not alot of space for storage. It was a little bit of a pain to put together but it was worth it. There a few steps that you almost have to have a 2nd person to hold as you piece togehter. I paid about $20 more at Kohls but thats okay it was the cheapest I could find it at the time. I have owned this for about 4 months and I am very happy with it.

The only true negative with this rack is the anchor styem. I had to call the company twice and they do not answer questions about the Toggler anchorsyou have to call a seperate company. I also had to call a plaster specialist about advice weither or not the Toggler could be used in my ceiling. The Toggler is meant for HOLLOW wall space. After talking a plaster guy and told him about my wall space and year built it was determined that I do have hollow space and could use the anchor system. make sure you aviod beams cause it will not work. After drilling 1/2 inch in my ceiling I put the anchor in and I must not have broke it off correctly because it was stuck and not in the correct position. I again called the company and asked for advice. They sent me TWO new togglers and there apologies. When they arrived, within only a few days, I was told to just use something to push the old one up and into the ceiling and put the new one. So I did and once again it broke incorrectly!! Frustrated and down to my last Toggler I gave it more shot and SUCCESS!! It was a bit of a pain to get up but I love it. Make sure you just KNOW where are gonna hang and have read ALL the directions, especially realted to togglers, before hanging. If you do this you will be much happier. But if you make mistakes, like I did, know the company(s) are very helpful and will do anything they can to help you figure it out!! I thought the togglers seemed flimsy at first but after now fully understanding the designed, they actaully are pretty ingenious and I have no doubt that they will hold the weight they claim. The rack does shift weight when take off and put on new pots/pans, made me nervous first time it happens but its just redisributing weight and once again NO PROBLEMS. I know its a long review but I wish I had known the info and i help someone! All and all a great purchase on a budget, looks great and works great!!

This is a great pot rackespecially for the money. We've owned it for ~2 months now, and it has changed our kitchen. We had very little room, and loved that this one is expandablealthough we currently have it on the smallest setting. I ordered this rack and the grids to go with itbut when it arrived, there was a bright yellow star printed on the box that read: Now with Grids! so I unfortunately had to go through the exchange process to return the gridswould've been nice to know that up front, but heyat least I got the grids!

We have an entire set of Cuisinart pots and three cast iron pots hanging from it, and all the lids on top of the gridand there are no problems with the weight load.

Pros:

-Great rack for the money

-Easy to install (no need for studs)

-Expandable

-Came with grids!

Cons:

-Would be nice to know whether or not it comes with grids

-The grids were a little precarious at firstsliding back and forth. We found a position in which they are sturdy, but had to play with it a couple minutes.

-Would be nice if it also included the ceiling hook-covers too :)

I would most definitely buy this product again and recommend it to a friend.

Great and easy to install. Comes with 2 grid pieces so basically the only accessory needed it the covers to make the ceiling look good.

This rack looks great, was easy to install, and a fraction of the price of some of the others that I looked at. Make sure that you purchase the Trim Ceiling Covers too (sold seperately).

Diamond Plus 11" Square Grill Pan Reviews

Diamond Plus 11' Square Grill Pan
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

Bought the Woll Diamond Plus set and added the grill pan to my order. I had preferred the assortment offered by Swiss Diamond but was scared off by too many negative reviews which included poor customer service. Woll was absolutely worth the extra cost as it looks like they will last forever. Getting great results with all types of food types that I have tried. The pans tolerate high heat well, show absolutely no sign of abrasion with metal utensils and the clean up is fast and easy. "Greenpan" ads demonstrate cleanup as just as easy on the cooking surface, but Woll has the same non-stick coating on the outside as on the inside and the pans are heavy enough that it doesn't feel you're cooking with a child's toy set. The bottoms have a flat, grooved and polished disk which is kinder to the pan and kinder to the burner rack than the diamond embedded cooking surface would be.

Very glad I got rid off every other pot and pan I collected over the years other than two high capacity stockpots.

I think the extra cost was equalled by the value of the product. Would have been wonderful had thee been available years ago. Would have saved me from investing in at least three inferior cooksets.

When you dry the pot with a paper towel the towel is turns black. Washed the pot with strong detergent and boiled it several times but each time the paper towel turns black when drying the pot. This pot is made in China and is not safe for food preparation. When wiping a stainless steel pot there should be no residue left behind on the towel.

It is really too tall for my stove and sink, but I can still use it just fine. I like the way the base works in terms of spreading heat and cooking well. Pops popcorn very nicely.

However, it began to corrode just a little around the top edge on its first use. It hasn't gotten worse, but I still don't like that. The lid fits poorly on the spaghetti insert, which is useless for spaghetti. Without the insert it is not a bad spaghetti pot. The spaghetti insert is poorly shaped as well, that's why the lid fits poorly. The lid fits fine on the pot itself.

UPDATE 03/19/2013:

I think this review got more helpful votes than any other I've written. Thanks for those who noted that.

Anyway, I still use the pot, though not for popcorn. It has not corroded any more than it did right away. I have burned stuff in the bottom and scoured it clean again. The lid continues to fit poorly, almost to the point of falling into the pot. I rarely use the strainers, though I do steam veggies in it sometimes, and that works fine.

So it is a cheap workhorse pot, poorly made and low quality, but functional. I wouldn't expect to have it for many years or anything, as I plan to replace it with something better when I get the chance.

the cookware works great, have'nt tried the steamer basket yet, waiting for those fresh summer veggies... the cookware is heavy duty, only con i found are those spot welded handles, would rather see riveted handles.

Honest reviews on Excelsteel 12 Quart 18/10 Stainless Steel 4 Piece Muti-Cookware Set

I was truly impressed With this pot. Well built Heavy stainless steel w/rivited handels not spot welded. Glass lid is vented and fits well. Stainless steamer fits nicely and has built in lift handels. Stainless collander fits pot w/ steamer on top w/ glass lid on top. All fits satisfactory. I washed cookware before use and after use with no problem what so ever. Not a spec of dark residue or any problem w/ cleanup. Great product at a great price. I have pots like this one that are at least 22 years old.

Heavyweight bottom, good construction, multi-purpose: cooks soup or pasta or steams veggies. Great price. I use it ALL THE TIME. As a gift to my daughter, I had been searching for this 4-pc product in stores with no luck: either not fully multi-purpose or flimsy metal or priced $200. This Excelsteel product has a good heavy bottom, is well-made, and is extremely affordable. Great gift to new householders. This is a GOOD DEAL.

I've had this wok for many years and it's as excellent now as it was when I got it. Like any pan with thick walls, it takes longer to heat up but maintains a constant heat better. My experience with this led me to purchase two Swiss Diamond saute pans, which are also excellent.

This is a great product. It cooks evenly, food doesn't stick and it's very easy to clean. The heavy, flat bottom of the wok is ideally suited for our electric stove top. Highly recommended.

I wrote the Swiss Diamond company and asked for an explanation of what the nano-composite material was made of.

After a week or so, I received a polite reply from Allan Wolk, an employee in the U.S. His email informed me that, "Our patented nonstick surface uses a nano-composite of real diamond crystals and PTFE; it is applied using a computer controlled plasma gun at very high temperatures."

Naturally, my attention was immediately drawn to the PTFE. The acronym sounded familiar. What was PTFE?

A quick search of Wikipedia provided the answer: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PTFE)

As Wikipedia explains:

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a fluoropolymer discovered by Roy J. Plunkett (1910-1994) of DuPont in 1938. It was introduced as a commercial product in 1946 and is generally known to the public by DuPont's brand name Teflon®.

Huh? Teflon? Wait a minute. Didn't the Swiss Diamond website just claim that the product contained no Teflon?

If you look back at the Swiss Diamond website screen capture, the careful wording of their answer now becomes clear. It states, "The Swiss Diamond coating does not contain any Teflon taking into consideration that "Teflon" is a trade mark, made and owned by DUPONT."

So the pans don't contain Teflon, they just contain the chemical called Teflon. It's like saying a nuclear warhead doesn't contain any plutonium, it only contains nuclear fissionable material.

For the manufacturer to insist the Swiss Diamond pans contain no Teflon whatsoever when it is made primarily from polytetrafluoroethylene, the chemical widely known as Teflon, is extremely deceptive. In fact, the intent of the Swiss Diamond company seems to be to deceive consumers by omission of the facts. The FAQ document on the Swiss Diamond website, for example, does not bother to say something like, "But our pans do contain PTFE, the chemical known as Teflon." It simply insists they contain no Teflon and moves on to the next question.

It seems that Swiss Diamond goes out of its way to give the impression that this product is free of Teflon chemicals and is surfaced primarily with diamonds. That's the impression I got, anyway, and I read the promotional materials several times before purchasing the pan.

Consumers have been hoodwinked!!!!!!!

Don't be fooled by the price as I was. First off this Sushi Oke is made in China!

I have no problem with items made in China, practically everything is, however, I was looking

for a genuine Oke from Japan.

I ordered this item because it had copper bands, which by the way, are used to hold the

Oke together because you they don't use glue on a genuine Oke. I even took the time to

email Amazon and have them verify that is was copper bands and not the cheap plastic bands used

in the twenty dollar Okes. The picture shows the the thick bands as used in a genuine Oke.

What you actaullay get are loosely fitting, non-functional, super thin copper band. These are nailed on one side.

I can fit both blades of a scissor on the other side (see pics). I can only conclude that because they are non-functional

the sides are glued. With what? Who knows, but I don't want my food touching it.

If you are looking for a genuine Oke to make Sushi, this isn't it. I am definitely returning this item

and spending twice the price for a real one.

I bought this item for my roommate it a great wooden sushi maker we use it often it great if you are having a Sushi dinner party.

Honest reviews on Wooden Sushi Oke Hangiri 14in #ck36

I haven't used it yet and didn't see anywhere on the item stating the material it was made from. I specifically ordered this bowl because it descripbed as being made of spruce and not of pine, I hope that's the case. I was hoping it would be a genuine Japanese made bowl, but I'm not sure of that either.

I would recommend shopping around and reading more about the product if you're looking for a more specific bowl.

Pretty nice Hangiri for making Sushi rice. The copper rings are more for accent than for holding the bowl together. It was attached pretty loosely to the sides. I felt it was a little overpriced, but when looking at the prices for professional hangiri bowls, found this to be a deal. Have used it three times and am happy with its results.
