When we bought this pan the salesperson promised us the moon, stars and eternal life.

They lied.

The diamond coating is under the non stick surface to help bond it, but the nonstick coating is still a fragile surface that does not hold up in

daily use. Our's didn't.

The pan was great while it lasted, so good that 3 months later we decided to buy an entire set of pans from Woll.

The first pan we bought while traveling, the rest online.

At 6 months the nonstick coating began to fail on the pan we used daily. At 12 months it looked like something purchased at Walmart in the markdown bin.

Not what you expect for over $100

The pans we don't use at all look great. If you must own these,

plan on replacing them out of pocket frequently if you use them. If you want that long life expectancy promised by the salesman. I suggest that you don't use them.

Not using the pan should prolong the life of the non stick finish indefinitely. Sorry about the sarcasm but I'm really disappointed in both Woll and the pan.

I tried contacting Woll several times to try and get instructions on how to warranty the pan but have never received a reply.

It's been really upsetting.

Take a minute and Google their warranty service yourself, before purchasing. Couldn't find it? Me neither. I finally sent some Emails to

Corporate pleading for them to be redirected to the customer service or warranty dept.

It's been six months since my last attempt at warrantying the 12 1/2 fry pan. That's long enough to wait for a return email.

I'm sure not providing a way for someone to return their products for warranty saves the corporation a lot of money but it

sucks for the consumer.

I've gone to local shops selling Woll products and they have refused to honor the warranty for us because we did not purchase our pans there.

I can't really blame them.

Anyone want a ham, cheese omelet with just a hint of nonstick coating in it for that special flavor?

Save your money. Someday someone will create a durable nonstick pan, but it is not this one.

Got this to replace my favorite "giant" Calphalon non-stick stainless skillet, which finally needed to be retired after a decade of moderate use surface at last became too worn and scratched for safety. Thought I could at least continue using the 12-plus inch glass lid (fully 12.5" as measured with metal rim). This first-class advanced nonstick monster seemed just the ticket... But alas, the Woll is actually OVER 12.5" a generous 32cm INTERIOR measurement translates to more like 12.7"/ a full 13" exterior width, and without the Calphalon's sloped sides, the old lid just neatly drops straight down past the rim to its perfectly flat bottom surface. So I had to order the expensive Woll stainless & glass lid afterall at least it should last a lifetime anyway.

Though heavier and more shallow than it would seem, based on the photo (probably depicting their smaller sized model?), it sure does appear to be as durable and functionally advanced for hot water rinse and paper towel wipe cleanup convenience for many years to come. Though not the super-slippery Tfal coating some people expect, this is a far superior nonstick material than all those "new" ceramic surfaced "Green" cookware products boast about. If that's what you're looking for, you'd do much better just getting an old-fashioned porcelain-on-cast-iron skillet like grandma used; I have tried to make an "Orgreenic" pan work as advertized and there's just no way (stickier than unpolished stainless!). We'll see how it holds up, but so far, this pan works brilliantly for all my giant skillet needs.

This is a fantastic pan! The pan is thick (10mm) but it's light because it's solid aluminum (BTW, don't let self-appointed health "experts" convince you that aluminum gives you alzheimer's disease. The growing body of evidence proves it does not). There's no PFOA (which IS quite harmful) because they found a way to infuse the non-stick coating right to the metal directly. That means it'll withstand the scratches and heat and abuse better than most non-sticks. So far, that's entirely true. I scraped the tines of my fork hard on a spot towards the rim of the pan and it didn't scratch off the nonstick. I also took my heavy spoons and spatulas and tapped them firmly against the rim like I would when I'm cooking to see if it'd ding up and leave marks. It did NOT. By all accounts, the diamond-plus pans are incredibly durable. The vendor claims that even if it discolors a bit or gets scratched (which I haven't been able to accomplish by being rough on it), there's no harm because the non-stick coating is fused to the metal. Gotta say I'm loving it so far. Time will tell if they hold up like this in a year or two. I'll report back.

It also cooks incredibly evenly and heats up/cools off quickly because of the aluminum. For example, on my old crappy pots and pans, if I turn the burner on high with an inch of water in the bottom, there'll be like a ring of bubbles right where the elements are or right where the warped pan bottoms touch the heating elements. But in THIS pan, the heat is transferred evenly and thus the entire surface bubbles evenly showing me that the whole bottom is the same temperature. Things fry the exact same way in this pan...there's no "hot spot". I fried up a bunch of sausage (without greasing the pan at all first) and after each turn, they all had the same browning level which told me the sausages on the edge had the same heat under them as the sausages in the middle of the pan. Finally! I was tired of having to rotate them to different spots in the pan so there weren't burnt ones and raw ones.

The pan is incredibly flat and precise. There's no rocking when it's on a flat surface because the bottom was turned with precision. Now, if there is a fault with this pan (and I don't know that this is the fault of the pan) its that the super shiny underside picks up stains quickly and they're hard to scour off because of the texture. On the other hand, that texture makes it nice and grippy so it doesn't slide around on my flat glass range. On my old pans, the slightest touch to the handle can send it spinning all the way around in a circle or send it off the glassy burner altogether. THIS pan absolutely does not. Something about it grips really well to the glass surface I've got.

I don't want to get sucked in by the hype of the "making of" videos, but so far this is performing fantastically and just as advertised. But as I've heard others mention, almost ALL nonstick works great at first. It's not until you use it for a year or two before you find out what it's really made of. I'll keep everyone posted with my findings as time goes on.

Honest reviews on Woll Diamond Plus Fry Pan

...because this is the most perfect nonstick small skillet/egg pan ever! Much better price elsewhere on the Internet; but I can't imagine a better designed & manufactured piece of essential cookware. Balance/weight, range of temperature, ease of use/cleanup, and adaptability with existing 8" glass lids and all heat sources (except induction) make this the "holy grail" of daily necessity cookware for me. Woll is unbeatable and well worth even this premium price, as far as I'm concerned. As my last essential utility nonstick pan, a 9.5" sauté, rapidly approaches its nonstick end I'm impatiently looking forward to replacing it with a Woll Nowo Titanium one. Don't even think about trying newfangled ceramic nonstick surface "experiments" they DO NOT WORK. Woll seems to have perfected ultimate practically indestructible rinse'n'wipe cookware technology! Will just have to see how it holds up but I'd wager it will continue working like new for a decade or more. Couldn't be happier!

Take it from one who does the pan cleaning, nothing sticks to this pan. It is so nice to basically rinse this pan under the sink faucet and EVERYTHING just falls off. A quick wipe with a sponge and you're done. Heating is even and unless you want it burned, it surely won't do that.

The lids on these and the pouring spouts in the pans make this the easiest to use cookware ever. I have bought expensive cookware in the past and they held up no longer than the more modestly priced offerings. Just makesure you get the Italian line. It has the pour feature on the pans and the clear lid with and drain/steam escape option on the lid. Also a rubber top handle so no potholder is necessary.

Bought this for my daughter and she loves the no mess clean up. Best gift I have ever given her she said.Would recommend this to all who cook and hate the clean up time.

A friend bought me this set many years ago and we have loved it. Its so durable and truly non-stick. So when my son recently bought his first house, I knew this was going to be the first housewarming gift I was going to try and purchase for him. Thankfully Amazon carried it through one vendor! I recommend buying the large sauté pan and deep sauté pans as well to complete the set.

Honest reviews on Bialetti Collection, 8 Piece Cookware Set

The design and function is a bit better than the T-Fal series, but the non stick surface on these will wear away with regular use just like the T-fal series does. Depending on your luck you may get some pans with a better coating than others. In either case, it appears all these types of cooking products last only a few years before needing to be replaced no matter what name is branded on them.

While these may have a better design than the T-Fal series, you will pay extra for that better design. As usual, try and get these when they are on sale from time to time. These are engraved with "Made in Italy"

I recently bought two of the Island Bamboo silicone products (this spoon and the basting brush). I like them, and I've replaced my old wooden spoon with this one.

+ The silicone heads pop off, so you can wash them in the dishwasher without the handles (the silicone would also be easy to hand-wash)

+ They're inexpensive

+ They look pretty good

+ The handles are relatively lightweight

I definitely prefer this spoon to wooden or nylon spoons.

It's hard to believe that a person can actually get excited to use a spoon, but this thing is great! NOTHING sticks to it. Nothing! It's easy to clean, can be used to stir hot, cold, sticky, or dry food, and just keeps looking brand new. The handle is really firm and comfortable to hold. It's so great, I went back and ordered several more different size spoons, a spatula, and a basting brush. They're all fabulous.

I bought the Taylor Precision Products Connoisseur Series Chocolate Spatula Thermometer for my wife's birthday. The thermometer mounted inside the spatula cracked and broke on the 2nd use. The spatula is flexible while the thermometer mounted inside it isn't. This presents a major design flaw when stirring a viscous material like melted chocolate.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I don't know how much pressure the other reviewers were using, but I've used mine several times and it's still in one piece. The grey parts are flexible rubber while the white part is a hard plastic.

I love that the spatula and thermometer are combined, it's easier than trying to mix with a separate spatula and not keep knocking into the temperature probe attached to the side of the bowl... and the printed on guide to tell where the temperature should be is great since I keep forgetting what temperatures to keep it between for which kind of chocolate!

My only minor irritation is trying to clean itthe chocolate gets in between the thermometer and the spatula and it's kind of challenging to get it out... Oh well, lots of hot soapy water and it is all fine!

Best Deals for Taylor Connoisseur Chocolate Spatula Thermometer

This looked like a good design for melting chocolate. It worked well the first time. The spatula keeps the thermometer from touching the pan so you can stir and measure the temperature at the same time. However, mine also broke after the first use.

Honest reviews on Taylor Connoisseur Chocolate Spatula Thermometer

After 3 months of use all of the letters came off. I have a small candy business and use the product weekly, and temper chocolate, but lo and behold even the numbers on the side of the thermometer rubbed off. There are no other products like this so I'm not sure what my options are, but I definately want a replacement from the manufacturer.

I haven't broken mine yet but I immediately figured out how one could and decided that when I'm melting down my chocolate I would just use a much sturdier spatula...problem solved!

Best for roasting a turkey that I have ever found can lift the turkey out easily as well! Easy to make gravy in it and easy to clean

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I am a first time user of a roaster pan with rack. In other words, a newbie, when it comes to cooking anything. I determined to try and do a turkey this year for Thanksgiving but wanted to try and do it somewhat on a professional basis. Therefore having a utensil that a pro or semi pro would use. I ordered this roaster without the slightest idea as to what I was doing. It appeared on my doorstep in good order (Amazon is great when it comes to ordering and delivery...!). I found a recipe on the web on how to prepare and baste a bird and had at it. WOW! What a fantastic way to cook a turkey. It turned out great! Tasty and well done! I am doing another one shortly as well as a beef roast. I'm not sure as yet as to the durability of the unit but I did follow the instructions on how to prepare the unit by oiling it so we will see in time. Great roaster so far.

This pan is well designed. Because it has the handles on the rack are on opposite sides of the pan handles it makes lifting the roast out of the pan much easier.

Honest reviews on T-fal A8579784 Specialty Nonstick Dishwasher Safe 16.5 x 13.5 x

I spend several days fishing the back country waterways of Quebec....primarily walleyes and then we fry them in a round non-stick frying pan sitting on top of a "turkey frier" propane stand.......trust me, the round pan we used to use can't compare to this new rectangular one.......the pan I just bought fits perfectly on top of the stand and your able to fry several more pieces without having them all scrunched up.......I am perfectly pleased......clean up is a breeze......no long handle makes it easy to store and pack. This method is a lot easier then deep frying.

I was happy with this pan. Food definitely did not stick to it. It has only been used once, for roasting turkey parts on Thanksgiving. I wish that the handles didn't stick out quite so far, but other than that, it is sturdy and I believe it will last me a while. I probably wouldn't buy it again just because of the handles, unless all the other pans I was looking at were the same way, then I'd probably just buy this one again.

I used to work in a deli and have used my fair share of commercial slicers. When I decided to buy one for home use, I knew that I didn't want one of the large, cumbersome slicers that I had used in the past, and that this would mean some tradeoffs in terms of power and quality. After taking a long look around, I finally decided on the CC-630, and I'm glad I did. I believe this unit offers an excellent compromise between commercial power and everyday practicality.

Please don't misunderstand... you don't want this slicer if you're looking to open a deli or restaurant. You can feel the slicer slow down as it cuts through denser foods (like meat and cheese) that the commercial slicers would just pass right through.

This little unit is best suited to the home user who wants to be able to cut enough cold cuts for a day's use say packing lunches for the family. It's also great for slicing up roasts, BONELESS turkey/chicken, cheeses, and vegetables. Whatever you slice, slice only what you will consume immediately or at least in the next day or so. That's the secret to those deli sandwiches... cut everything fresh for the best flavor.

Of surprise to me was how well this unit handles bread. It needs to be a fairly flexible bread (no cornbread/biscuits) as it has to bend slightly to accomodate the shape of the slicer. If you make your own bread, you can now slice it perfectly at nearly any thickness.

Just be sure to let anything that you make yourself cool completely before slicing. A warm roast or turkey breast just isn't rigid enough to hold itself together against the moving blade. If you're looking to use this for your thanksgiving dinner then you'd be better off investing in a good sharp carving set (not the serrated kind, but the kind you can resharpen). For thanksgiving leftovers, the slicer is ideal. Just don't do anything silly like trying to cut through bones as they can get caught in the moving blade... a serious safety hazard.

Why only 4 stars? Well, this unit would rate 5 in my opinion if not for two issues. First, a safety concern: the unit has seperate on/off and thickness controls. So what? Well, that means that you can turn the unit off and still leave the blade in an exposed cutting position (and at thinner settings, this is almost imperceptable visually). This can lead to serious injury should someone try to clean the unit thinking that the blade is safely shielded. Not a good idea if you have children around, or even if you don't. A simple solution is just to get in the habit of turning the thickness to zero immediately before or after turning the slicer off.

My other issue is that the manual says that no part of the slicer is dishwasher safe. This is extremely annoying as there are several removable non-electronic parts that are difficult to clean by hand. It seems absurd that the heavy duty plastic and stainless steel that these parts are made of would not hold up to a household dishwasher.

Overall, I find this to be an excellent slicer and highly recommend for home use. Much better than the cheaper underpowered models that are nearly impossible to clean properly.

I owned this slicer for two years, and used it maybe twenty times at most--mainly for slicing ham. At first it seemed to work fine. Then I noticed it ran a bit slower with each use until it finally quit working entirely. I disassembled the slicer to see if it could be repaired. Inside I found a very small, burned-out electric motor. In my opinion, this motor is much too weak to last very long if used for slicing anything other than soft bread. The motor in my old Kitchen Aid blender is larger (and has lasted for many years under daily use.)

FYI, the EdgeCraft company which manufactures Chef's Choice does not sell replacement motor or gear parts. You must send it to them for repair. However, they don't make repair estimates. You must send the product to them and take your chances. Considering the price of this product, I feel totally ripped off. I will never buy another Chef's Choice product.

I read a review about a different slicer which recommends limiting use to under 10 minutes at a time. The tiny 100 watt (~1/8hp) motor in this slicer simply cannot tolerate extended use. It would probably work okay for slicing soft bread, but that's about it.

A few final notes:

* The Chef's Choice documentation clearly states the product has a 90 day limited warranty. Furthermore, you must pay all shipping charges to return the product and have it sent back to you. After any repair, the warranty is good for ONLY 90 DAYS AFTER THE INITIAL PURCHASE DATE, it is not extended after the repair.

* If you buy this product and the motor burns out on you, just remember you were warned.

If you like roast beef sandwiches from Arby's, this is EXACTLY what you are looking for. I bought this ham slicing blade [ http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000X6EHK/qid=1115663701/sr=1-3/ref=sr_1_3/002-0484266-3618452?v=glance&s=kitchen ] to go along with this slicer. The first thing I did was buy a sirloin tip roast at Sam's and slow roast it at 325 for 3 hours. I sliced the roast nice and thin, topped it with some horseradish sauce and -POOF-, I had the best roast beef sandwich I have ever had. I am so excited to cook my hams and turkeys now.

When I first turned it on, I thought it would be too weak to slice the beef, but it was not. It was like a hot knife through butter. Changing/removing the blade was extremely simple.

The best part about this slicer is the ease of cleaning. I was able to thoroughly clean and sanitize all of it in less than 5 minutes.

The only thing I didn't like was the power button. It seemed as though it should have been designed different. There were no problems with the button, it just seemed awkward.

You will thoroughly love this machine. It is very simple to use. I didn't even need to read the instructions.

Honest reviews on Chef's Choice 630 International Gourmet Electric Food Slicer

I am a professional Prep Cook in my opinion this is a good place to start if you are looking for a home slicer. I bought this slicer for roasts and cheese. It saves me $4.00 a lb. for sliced beef alone. I find that it is easy to clean and store. For those of you that think this machine is not easy to clean, I use a huge deli meat slicer on average 2 days a week for 5-6 hour a day. The slicer that I use at work takes 30-45 mins. to clean and the parts are very large and hard to handle. The 630 is a breeze to clean. This is my first home slicer and I did a lot of home work before buying the Chef's Choice 630. I am very happy with this product.

I have used this a few times a week for several months, and the non-stick surface is performing well. The large size is great for a full meal quantity.

The nonstick surface of the somewhat more expensive Cuisinart Greenware did not perform as well as the Ecolution Artistry.

I am giving it only 4 stars because the environmental attributes of the product are not very impressive. Hydrolon appears to be a patented acrylic material that is made from non-renewable fossil fuels.

Was looking for healthly choice in non-stick at a reasonable price; with good to better quality...i found it in this line of products. Beats competition with no questions. Was very pleased how well it is balanced and handling to flip foods and the non-stick is superb. The bottom/base is perfect and true to description--use on low, med and high heat with excellent results. I took a risk and it surpassed my expectations. Would recommend! (T-Fal, Cuisinart,P.D., Emeril, Ecogreenics, etc. are just a few I have tried)

I can't figure out about all this eco friendly stuff. This is a pan made of metal and coated with a non slip coating. I cook my sausage in it every morning. The reason I bought it was because of the 9.5 in size. Works great and has even heat.

Honest reviews on Ecolution Artistry Eco-Friendly Fry Pans

I bought this pan on Amazon in May '12.

I use the pan 4-5 times a week and it is a great non-stick pan. The non-stick coating is still like new, and the pan performs like the first day I bought it.

I wish I could say the same for the rest of the pan. The handle started to get loose after a couple weeks of use, and I had to add a washer to the bolt that holds it to the pan and for now that is holding well. The enamel like coating on the outside (sides and bottom) of the pan is flaking off and the aluminum is showing.

I have deducted one star for those issues, but the business end (coating) of the pan performs so well, I would still recommend it.

I have 3 different types of Ecolution cookware. I have this frying pan, griddle, and a medium sized sauce pan. I've had these for over 6 months now and they get used daily, sometimes multiple times in one day. These are seriously the easiest items in my kitchen to clean. I cook eggs almost everyday and have never had anything stick. They also heat evenly and just cook everything nicely. I always let the pans warm-up on low before setting the cooking temp and I believe that will help keep these staples in my kitchen for a long time. The bottoms are easily scratched, but hey, don't go dragging that thing on the burner then. As many times as they've been washed there is no sign of wear. I believe that to be a great cook, one must have great equipment. I'm glad I gave these a try.

I was disappointed with this lid knob, the screws were too short to fit through a glass cover, yet they advertise for glass. Second the quality is poor considering the cost. They should sell them for about $2.50 not $4.35. However, for those who purchased them and is now stuck with useless knobs, here is the fix. I went to a hardware store and puchased a 1 inch screw the same size. Of course 1 inch is too long, so for my need I cut 1/8 inch off with a hacksaw. Screw a nut on the screw before to make the cut so as you take the nut off it cleans any burrs left on the screw from cutting. So now instead of a 3/4 inch screw (too short) you have a 7/8 inch screw and it worked perfect for my glass lids.

Good Luck

Buyer beware. This knob has a major flaw in my opinion. The screw that is supposed to hold the knob on is too short. If the screw was only an eight of an inch longer this would have been perfect.

I am so glad I found this, I was ready to buy an entire new set of pans! This knob was easy to attach, it took me less than five minutes. It fit nicely and was very secure. It safely attached to a very heavy lid and I have been using it for close to 5 months now. ( slow at leaving my reviews)

I bought two of these to replace some 30+ year-old Revereware pot lid handles that had come off. I drilled the hole in the lid very slightly larger than it was, and screwed these on. They work great. I have been using them for about 6 months; no sign of loosening or any other problems. I thought about leaving off the lower piece, for a cleaner look, but decided to go ahead and use it for the safety of fingers being that much further from the hot lid. For a few dollars, I have two more useable saucepans again.
