Buy 5 Tier Pan Organizer

5 Tier Pan Organizer

I bought this to put my Viking SS pans on. Not beefy enough to handle the weight. BUT ... I ended up putting it on it's back and it works great. Just takes up a little more cupboard space. Because the Viking cookware is so heavy, it is nice to not have to move a stack of heavy pans to get to the one I want to use. Bravo.

Not very stable, pans slide off easily, esp one on top which picture doesn't show one on top. Key is leaving a heavy pan on bottom, which then reduces the purpose of the product.

Honest reviews on 5 Tier Pan Organizer

I bought two of the 5 Pan Organizers. I use them in upright position. They hold large heavy iron skillets and regular metal skillets. Since the skillets are not stacked inside one another it is easy to get and put back skillets on the bottom. I can store many more cooking utensels in the cabinets now and the 5 Pan Organizer keeps the cabinets neat.

Love the styling and feels good in my hand. You know the reputation and its true. Cannot have too many paring knives.

I am a culinary student at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and part of our training involves the tourné cut. The standard straight-bladed paring knife is quite awkward for doing these types of cuts, and my Chef recommended a bird's beak knife for them. I had decided to try wusthof because of reputation alone and I am happy to report that this knife lives up to all the hype!

The blade is so sharp you can shave with it (I tested it on my forearm and there's a baby-smooth patch there now!), and it is so thin that it just glides thru whatever you are cutting regardless of the angle or curve you are making.

The handle is extremely comfy and easy to grip, and the bolsters (weighted parts of the grip) perfectly balance the entire knife. The entire knife is very durable and easy to clean and sanitize.

If you are debating weather to buy this knife, I can say that you should pick it up! I have owned a lot of knives and I liked this one so much that I a, buying the rest of the 9 piece set now!

Oh and as a student or traveling cook/chef, the standard wusthof paring knife blade guard fits this knife perfectly, so no worries there

Customer Ratings: 5 stars

If you wish to make the French pastry Canele de Bordeaux (also spelled/called Canneles Bordelais), the proper way to do it is using these traditional, tin-lined copper molds. Copper molds produce results that are far superior to that which can be achieved with Silicone molds by creating the requisite, carmelized, exterior "crust". Copper is an excellent conductor that is why copper pots and pans distribute heat so evenly and quickly. It is also why electrical wire is made from copper. Silicone is not a good conductor and accordingly does not transmit heat readily that is why oven mitts are often made from silicone and why, in electrical applications, silicone is sometimes used an insulator. As a result, silicone molds can produce a blonder or unevenly carmelized crust. In addition to that, copper molds are simply more fun to use than a floppy, synthetic mold. After all, the act of cooking can be enjoyable as well as eating what is created and these beautiful, copper molds help make it more so.

These molds are the traditional 2.1 inch (height) size. Smaller, copper molds are available, but this is considered the appropriate sized mold for Caneles. Be sure to season the molds before the first use coat interior with vegetable shortening (e.g. Crisco) and heat in oven at 350 for one hour; flip upside down and heat for five minutes to drain oil; leave molds in oven as it cools down. Then find a good recipe and create these wonderful, handheld desserts. Martha Stewart's "Baking", Paula Wolfert's "The Slow Mediterranean Kitchen" and Pascal Rigo's "American Boulangerie" all have recipes, each of which differs slightly from the others. It is worth noting that Martha Stewart's recipe for caneles in the book "Baking" is different than the Stewart recipe found online. Try using the "Look Inside" feature for the Stewart and Wolfert books on Amazon and run a search for "canele" to get a peek at the recipe.

Wash using water only so as to ensure the tin surface stays seasoned with oil (soap would remove it). Soak if necessary to remove hardened sugar crust from Canele batter. When the molds have been properly seasoned as noted above and are then oiled before each use with a mixture of beeswax and sunflower oil or just oil, the Canele should release, but if does not, gently go around the top edge and/or down the ridges with a toothpick or wooden kebab skewer to release any part of the crust that is sticking to the mold. Do not use metal since this will eventually scratch the thin coating of tin from the copper. If after much use the molds smell rancid, boil the molds and season then them as done when new.

The molds are expensive and given the long cook times (up to two hours), you will most likely wish to have at least eight molds, and possibly twelve or more, but after you produce your first batch of Caneles, you will quickly forget the cost. Pictures I posted in the customer Images section provide an idea of the results that can be achieved with these molds.

When I first tried Caneles, I was studying abroad in Bordeaux. Several years later, I ran across Paula Wolfert's recipe for these tasty treats and decided to try making them myself. Originally, I tried to make them with the silicon molds as $20 a piece seemed a high price (even with the Mauviel name attatched). I had a modicum of luck with the flavor of my French pastries made in silicon molds, but to be excellent, I knew that I had to use beeswax and real copper molds; otherwise the outer shell was neither crispy nor did they have the almost bitter taste of burned sugar.

I bought 10 of these molds as a serious investment in my favorite dessert and have been more than pleased with them.

I have made several batches in the past few weeks and every batch has been as good as those I remember tasting in France.

Be sure to properly season the molds before first use and equally important is to not use soap and water to wash out the inside after use.

These are a great buy and worth the money if you love caneles.

I really love this copper mold then the ones that I bought in a local store which the seller claims that it came from France. I bought 4 of them from Amazon and it works like wonders, it doesn't stick and my cannelés turn out nice and perfect~~even i am thinking about buying more to replace my other set~~A MUST BUY!!!!

Honest reviews on Mauviel M'Passion 4180.55 Canele 2-Inch Mold, Tinned Interior

Best canele mold. Tried silicone one and was very dissappointed with the texture. This mauviel mold makes the outside of the canele crunchy and the inside creamy. I own 12 of them and it's an investment but well worth it.

My son gave me four of these molds as a wonderful birthday gift! They are beautiful and their use resulted in a perfectly crisp, carmelized crust, with a creamy, custardy interior. As for baking with them, I highly recommend watching Albarock's YouTube video on making cannelés! (It is in French, but there are some English translations and you can get the gist of what he means, by watching.) He says to use lots of non-stick cooking spray on the molds and to be sure to tap the cannelés out while hot from oven. (Use oven mitt!) That technique worked perfectly for me! I didn't season the molds, the cannelés popped out and nothing was left behind. But go watch the video -it will make you confident and lead you on the path to making amazing cannelés!

The Waring Pro W050B Cordless wine opener is just fantastic. I received one when redeeming my points from my credit card. I was so impressed with it that I quickly got online to find where I could purchase more. Amazon directed me in the right direction. I have purchased 3 more openers, one for each of my sisters. All of them agree it is one of the better birthday gifts they have recieved. It works well, just as demonstrated on the Waring video I viewed before ordering. I did read reviews from other owners and that helped me make the choice of this product. I recommend this product for anyone looking for a wonderful gift or one for themselves.

The Opener itself worked great. The Charging base quit working 2 months after I received it. Called Waring and they would replace it if I send the whole product back costing me at least another $10 to $12 in postage (very heavy) for an already expensive opener compared to others. I was willing to spend more for what I thought would be a quality product. They would cover the postage of the replacement back to me. Resulting in me having over $50 in a wine opener that as far as I know could suffer the same fate in a couple of months as the first one. I feel they should have covered the return postage so I would not have had more invested and they could show they FULLY stand behind their products.

Will not buy ANYTHING from Waring again and advise anyone to consider this when they are ordering. I threw this one away and bought an Oster. Warranties that keep costing me money on the same item is no good to me.

If the battery gets below 2 volts you might as well throw the opener away, because it can not be charged! There is a design flaw that will not allow the unit too be recharged

This corkscrew does not work with plastic corks.

Once the cork is extracted you must use a screwdriver to wedge the cork against the wall of the opener to get enough traction to remove the cork from the opener.

I paid $75 on sale for this pan, and given that I wanted to be able to just make eggs without added fat, I took a chance as 2 chefs recommended this pan.

What a bust after washing, and even seasoning the pan with a few drops of oil, the eggs stuck like mortar.

Round 2 tried with a healthy 1/2 TB of olive oil, and a hot pan. Stuck AGAIN!

Trying to send it back...I'd rather go less eco friendly with a cheap Target teflon pan than waste money on a pan making claims that don't come through.

Buyer, BEWARE!

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I purchased three of these Berndes Pearl Ceramic coated cast aluminum open fry pans -an 8.5, 10, and 11.5 inch pan. The instructions that came with the pans say to use a small amount of oil before adding the food. A very small amount suffices as nothing adheres to the surfaces during cooking.

I routinely cook breakfast in a single pan, with the 8.5 inch pan being a favorite. A typical breakfast might be pork sausage, sauteed fresh mushrooms with scallions, two sunny side up Eggland's Best, and a cheese sauce all cooked successively in the same pan one after the other as I am on a low carb diet. Nothing sticks. Everything slides out, even the eggs and most of all the cheese sauce.

As they are made from rather substantial thickness of aluminum, they heat fast and evenly. These are neither light weight nor thin, but are substantial pans made to serve for many years of use. The 8" pan weighs 1 lb 7.2 oz clean, empty, and dry; the 10" pan weighs 1 lb 14.2 oz; and the 11.5" pan weighs 2 lbs 1.9 oz. I do use plastic spatulas or wooden spoons when cooking with them as recommended by the manufacturer.

The pans are a snap to clean, just wipe them out, soap, and rinse and you're done. Though I have put them in the dishwasher a time or two, dishwasher cleaning is not recommended.

Though I cook at home, these would be ideal for someone cooking in say a college dorm owing to their easy clean, nonstick and rugged construction. Ramen noodle omelets anyone?

I have heated canned chili in these pans with the same good results. No stains, no sticking, no red color left behind. I have been using these pans daily for two months, and they look like they just came out of the packing material as when I received them.

The pans are claimed to be oven proof up to 450°F, but I have not used them as yet in an oven.

My only complaint is that I do not have lids for them. Normally, when I cook my sunny side up eggs, I just put the eggs in the pan and turn the heat to low, cover the pan to hold in the steam, and set a timer for 4 minutes. This results in two perfectly cooked eggs with runny yolks but filmed over slightly and with tender not lacy or browned whites just as I like them. No turning the eggs is required for cooking the tops as the trapped steam cooks the tops of the eggs.

I have improvised lids from a variety of things, but find that an old aluminum pie pan works well for the 8.5" pan. I have checked the Berndes website but did not see lids offered specifically for these pans. I do plan to take a couple of them with me the next time I visit a Goodwill store to see if I can find something that will serve. Lids do not have to be fancy or match, as I am interested in function not form. The 8.5" pan has an 8" inside dimension and 8.5 outside dimension. The 10 inch (24 cm Bratpfanne) is 9.5" in/10" out and the 11.5" is 11" in and 11.5" out.

I highly recommend these pans as they beat the heck out of every previous nonstick pan I have ever owned. Unlike the nonstick pans in which the linings eventually come off and are invariably consumed in the cooked food, these do not seem to have that issue, nor will they ever have it.

A terrific investment for those who cook and want to avoid the PTFE non-stick coating contamination issue altogether.

I bought this silicone mold to make some festive jello shots that I found on Jelly Shot Test Kitchen (which were delicious). I haven't used it for baking yet, I really dislike the idea of ingesting something heated in silicone. But a little cooking spray before hand & the shots popped right out! Much easier than when I've tried to make them before in metal molds (which was completely unsuccessful.) Easy to wash, it can go in the dishwasher, etc. So, 4 stars since I haven't used the mold for it's intended purpose, but I imagine it would work nicely.

Nice mold for panna cotta. While the normal shape of a panna cotta is a sort of truncated cone, I prefer pyramids. Panna cotta are easy, can be made with vegetarian gelatin & coconut milk for vegan friends, or with cream and regular gelatin if you are not vegan. I like mine infused with vanilla bean and served with chocolate sauce or fresh raspberries. It's an easy dessert.

This plaque makes six puddings, plenty for a dinner party. You can also mold chocolate mousse in these, but the recipe needs added gelatin. Barbara Kafka has a recipe, which you can adapt for small molds.

I've heard some complain that their nonstick surface did not last as long as they would have liked, or that it actually became sticky. Those reading should know that you should only use a nonstick pan for cooking things that require it, like; omlettes, eggs, pancakes, etc. For sautes and normal cooking, you should have another regular (i.e. not a nonstick type) pan. This will ensure that your nonstick pan will last a very long time because you will not be prematurely wearing it down by using it for cooking it was not made for. Sautes cook much better on a regular pan anyway. You should only use plastic or wood utensils on it, never metal. Also, nonstick pans are NOT dishwasher safe! Dishwashers will damage the nonstick surface! Wash your nonstick with a soft sponge and soapy water only.

All Clad is probably the best cookware around. This is due to the layered metal design (and the lifetime warranty). It has stainless steel layers with aluminium in between. This works to evenly distribute the heat (even if you have a nasty electric element stove!) because aluminium is a great heat conductor. Also, this pan has the layers on the sides as well so the heat distribution is quite even.

That said, my feeling is that this pan is too expensive. It's very well made and works well, however for non stick pans, you will see very similar performace in the much cheaper Emerilware nonstick (also made by All Clad). The difference is that the Emerilware nonstick pan does not use any stainless steel. Instead, it uses anodized aluminium. Aluminium is a great heat conductor so this pan will perform just as well, for a much cheaper price. The outside finish may not look as good for as long as a stainless steel finish though so if you care about looks and don't mind spending the money, this All Clad is tops.

The Emerilware one still has the lifetime warranty and is of the exact same dimensions as the All Clad branded one. And I like the handle on the Emerilware even better than the handle on the All Clad.

With this All Clad, you are paying more for the layered stainless steel and aluminium, which require more labor to produce as well as more metel and materials.

Of course the choice is yours. If you want the best and don't mind spending the extra money, this All Clad is tops. If however you want nearly identical performance at a cheaper cost and the same lifetime warranty, the less expensive Emerilware pan would be a better match. I don't think you can go wrong either way!

I've been an owner of All Clad for 15 years. My non-stick fry pan however looses it's teflon coating every 12-24 months along the edges. Probably not good for my health. However, I would simply drop the pan in the mail, send back to All Clad and almost like magic a new pan would be shipped to me within 7 days. Since All Clad was bought in 2004 everything has changed. They give you a hard time about using there famous warranty, and make the process difficult with RMA numbers, having to write something to them and wait to hear from them with a shipping number. It took them 2 weeks just to reply and give me a shipping number. Now they've had my pan for 4+ weeks and they told me it may be another 2 weeks. What's the point of the warranty? I am done with All Clad. Such a bummer.

Best Deals for All-Clad Stainless 10-Inch Nonstick Fry Pan

My pan stopped being a non-stick pan about 18 months after I bought it. When I contacted All-Clad to have the pan repaired under warrantee I received the following email. All -Clad charges top dollar for their product.

Judge for yourself.

___________________

Dear Mr. Eisenberg,

We thank you for your email via All-Clad.com. We regret to learn that you have experienced any difficulties with your All-Clad cookware.

From date of purchase, All-Clad guarantees to repair or replace any item found defective in material, construction or workmanship under normal use and following care instructions. This excludes any damage resulting from improper use and care. Minor imperfections and slight color variations are normal.

We will be happy to provide a warranty evaluation. Prior to sending in your cookware, please review the following explanation of improper use and care that may have voided your warranty:

Most instances when the non-stick coating has lost its' non-stick properties, it is due to overheating of the pan. Cookware with non-stick coatings should be used on low to medium heat settings. Due to the superior quality of All-Clad cookware the cookware will heat up quicker and retain the heat. One indication that your pan has been overheated is that your non-stick has turned a brown or rusty color. Overheating of the non-stick coating will cause the non-stick properties to break down. As a result you will find that foods are sticking to the cookware. Overheating voids the warranty. You may try to clean the non-stick coating with a mixture of baking soda and mild dish detergent using a soft cloth. Depending on the degree of overheating, this may help return some of the

non-stick performance.

If there are digs, nicks or scratches to the non-stick coating from the use of metal utensils or sharp knives, this will affect the performance of the non-stick and will void the warranty.

Wearing away of the non-stick due to use of abrasive cleaners or scouring pads is not covered under the warranty.

If the non-stick appears to be flaking, but you do not see the stainless steel underneath, this may be due to residual oil build up on the pan. Oils hide within non-stick surfaces in places where they cannot be removed simply with soap and water. These oils burn during subsequent uses and create a layer that food can stick too and also can flake off. Sprinkle a bit of the baking soda into your pan. Add warm water and dish detergent to make a soupy solution. Use a soft cloth, plastic-looped scrubber, or a food-grade nylon scrubbing brush to agitate the debris in a circular motion. Rinse well with cold water and dry thoroughly to avoid spotting.

If you feel that the problem you are encountering is not a result of any of the above use and care issues, we will be happy to provide a warranty evaluation for replacement. Please package the product securely and include a brief note that explains the problem that you are experiencing with the item(s). Include in the note your name and return address. Please also mark the outside of the package clearly with the number 110416-000003. Send the return to the below address. Honest reviews on All-Clad Stainless 10-Inch Nonstick Fry Pan

This is my most-used pan. My only beef is that the non-stick coating degrades over time. The coating desn't flake off like cheaper immitations, but it does wear away. After a couple of years, it just wasn't working. Frying an egg is the ultimate test of a non-stick. They slide around the pan when the pan is new. I returned it to All-Clad, and they replaced it with a new one. I'm now on my second pan and after another couple of years, it's going the same way. I can't complain about customer service, as they gave me a new pan without any original packaging or a receipt.

I wash the pan by hand and I never use metalic utensils in it. I never use it inside the oven. I think as far as non-sticks go, this is a fine product. I just don't think there is such a thing as a non-stick that can last that long. If All-Clad are happy to keep replacing my pan, then I guess I'll stick with it.

I bought this set for our beach house after using cheap stainless reverware for way too long. What a difference it made in the food I cook. I knew I didn't want anything with the word 'non-stick' in it, so stainless or hard anodized seemed like my only choices. So glad I went with the HA product! It heats up quickly and evenly and allows a cooler cooking temp while still getting a proper sear on the food, plus it looks great on the pot rack. If you use it properly (preheating the pan and adding a bit of oil before the room temperature food) there is no sticking and clean up is easy peasy. I bought my set at the Calphalon outlet store nearby and it came with an Everyday Pan and set of utensils as bonus gifts so it was a really good deal in the end. I think the set pieces are really well thought out and I don't feel that there's anything missing. I didn't know I could love my cookware so much I want to marry it. Now I'm thinking about purchasing some hard anodized pieces for our town house where I mostly have copper and All Clad cookware.

Initially I was disappointed. I switched from no stick as I got tired of all the so called super no sticks that are supposed to be durable but aren't, and I wanted to get away from cooking with a chemical layer in my pots.

It cooks as well as advertised and other commentors say, but the clean up was appreciably more work. I know I made the decision to go away from no stick but I was still disappointed that I had to pay the price. Then I discovered that by soaking before washing, the clean up was as easy as no stick. One soak with a time proportional to the mess that I had made and the washing was easy.

I think that I have my lifetime set.

Many years ago, I purchased a single Calphalon pan it was the Commercial Hard-Anodized everyday pan and it really did become my everyday pan. I researched all the makers of cookware from All-Clad to Discount stores such as Wal-Mart and I kept coming back to this everyday pan so I decided to go with that.

This is an amazing set it is not non-stick..........matter of fact it is made for browning and searing and that is why I LOVE it. One can use metal utensils with it, and cleansers, etc. It is NOT dishwasher safe it is similar to cast iron in that it will get an odd white hue to it and then it will need to be seasoned but just an hour or so of soaking and food just wipes right out! They are truly amazing.

These pans heat evenly, are heavy (but not too heavy) and just feel right. You won't go wrong with these and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Honest reviews on Calphalon 13-pc. Commercial Hard-Anodized Cookware Set

This cookware heats evenly, cooks beautifully and the handles stay cool! This is not teflon coated but hard anodized metal so foods brown better. Cleaning is easy but treat these pans with respect. The directions say don't use spray oil, but regular oil or butter is fine. Use a mild teflon scrub pad when cleaning and if possible let it soak, but try not to burn in the first place. I also stack my pans with a small piece of bubble wrap between to avoid scratching. This set contains all the sizes one would need for an average size family except for the stockpot which is a little on the small size. My last set of teflon coated Calphalon lasted over 10 years and I think this set will go twice that long if not forever...

I can't say enough for Caphalon. I've owned their products since before they branded themselves as Caphalon. This equipment heats rapidly and evenly. You actually need to be careful because cook times will be shorter. Boiling happens faster. Pay attention!

One of the things I've always enjoyed about this equipment is that you generally don't have the problem of sauces burned to the bottom of the pan while not fully cooked at the top. Less stirring is required due to the even heat transfer up the sides of the pots.

I also enjoy the new handles on the lids and pots. They stay cool while cooking. They do warm up, but you can remove the lids without using a pot-holder, unless you are cooking at very high temps for a long time. The pot handles just stay cool. Great design.

So far the hard-anodized finish is nice and easy enough to clean. It isn't really a non-stick finish, but I've found that non-stick finishes tend to wear out faster. I wanted to try hard-anodized hoping for a longer lasting finish. The last set I purchased from them was in 1996 or 1997 and the usefulness of them far out lasted the non-stick finish. Seems like the non-stick finish began to wear out somewhere around 2004 or 2006. I finally decided to retire them to get something new this year, but we were still using them daily.

Seems like less than oh say $35 per year for great equipment is a bargain.

I have had this for two years now, its been fine, on electric and gas burners

I like it because the handle can be tightened with a screwdriver, unlike so many things you buy these days.

Still, not sure why the price went up so much in two years. Its more than double what I paid

I love the ceramic coating. It cleans so easily and if it looks stained, I use my glass stovetop cleaner on it and it comes out beautifully. It does seem like I need to use much lower heat settings when I cook with it, but I am getting used to that.

Cooks great but it comes with a list of rules for use and maintenance that almost make you afraid to use it!

Honest reviews on Tramontina Gourmet Ceramica_01 Deluxe Fry Pan

We just bought the 10-inch pan for cooking eggs bc our old nonstick was worn out and we wanted to give an "eco" option a try, and we have been totally amazed how eggs don't stick. I mean, at all. Like, it is hard to tell whether the pan has been cleaned because there is no egg residue left when you empty the pan. I should say we do use butter in the pan when we cook. Haven't tried it without. But it works better than our old nonstick pan (which we also used with butter), and our uncoated pans too, obv. We'll see how long the effect lasts. I will post an update if it stops working after 10 uses or something (have only used it a few times thus far)

I have used All-Clad since the early 1980's and consider it the very best, and best for the money, too, as it lasts forever, the company will simply replace any that you complain about (the LTD black surface wore off some after 15 years, which is why I switched to the stainless steel outside and inside and some copper outside versions (Copper Chef, by All-Clad Co.) and they sent a new one!). I have boiled over milk on high and it never scorched! The bottom of the pan was not even tan, much less any burned milk! That was a first for any pan for me! The Olympic Cooking Team uses these pans, by the way. And they look good on a rack, too.

I am very pleased with my set of All-Clad stainless cookware. The construction is superior to any other set I have ever owned. One of the nice things about the cookware is how cool the handles stay after being on the burner for an extended period of time. I was really surprised by that. I figured that since the handles were stainless steel they would get really hot but that is not the case. I have also found that the cookware heats up much more evenly than my old cookware. That really does help to reduce cooking time. While it may seem a bit pricey, this set should last many years if taken care of. My Mom always told me to buy the best quality item that I could and it will save money in the long run. She was right.....as usual. :-) If you love to cook you will enjoy this set.

In light of recurring news articles discussing the carcinogenic potential of Teflon, my husband and I decided to replace our current cookware. The set we had was in good shape minus a few scratches here and there. If you pay attention, however, these "minor scratches" honestly translate to a metallic aftertaste in the food, especially with boiled foods.

Anyway, after a long and hard discussion, we decided to purchase this set, specifically with the nonstick pan, since we'd be doing a lot of pan-frying. I have absolutely no complaints about this cookware. It is beautiful, sturdy, elegant, and is truly the way to go for healthy, gourmet cooking. It is expensive, but as other reviews have stated, it lasts the long haul.

The only thing is, now that we have the starter set, I've been eyeing other pieces to add to my collection. It's hard to resist. I am addicted to All-Clad!!!

Honest reviews on All-Clad Stainless 9-Piece Cookware Set with Nonstick Fry Pan

The All-clad Stainless cookware set is the best cookware set ever. I have only had my set for about 3 months and the way the aluminum core retains heat and evenly distributes it throughout the pots and pans has actually made my meals come out so much better. I was actually able to fry 4 eggs over easy is the same pan and they all cook evenly and were done at the same time. My old pan was always hotter on one side so the eggs were all done and ready at different times. Not good when you have family or friends to feed and you have to pick who gets to eat first.

If you are thinking about going to All-Clad stop thinking and do it. I was hesitant becasue of the price and a few negative reviews that I read but most the negative reviews were because the people were not cooking properly and they were upset because they ruined a very expensive piece of cookware which I understand but they would have ruined any cookware they were using doing the same thing. Pre-heating your pan before you put the food in it is very important. Also knowing your stove and what cooking on medium heat means also helps. The other complaint was about discoloration. I have made salsa which was very acidic, had it sitting it the pan for hours while I was canning it. I have also made a lot of salty meals. No dicoloration here.

I wish I would have purchased these pans before purchasing our new glass top range. My wife would have liked the range immediately if she had these pans. Our old set was stainless steel but thin and not magnetic. Although the old pans had copper it is only in the bottoms. Also, there are little imperfections on the bottom of the cheaper pans that marred the glass top, seemingly permanently. The All-Clad pans heat faster and at a lower setting. More than that the low boil bubbles form a perfect ring off the bottom of the pan--the old pans only produced bubbles on one side of the pan until it was a rolling boil. We couldn't be happier. They even clean up well, if you soak the baked on stuff for a while first. The long handles do require a bit more space and some strategic planning for storing.

Amazingly the 4 balti dishes i ordered from the UK arrived days ahead of items in the same order shipped inside the USA. Well done UK postal service. The product was way better than i had hoped for at such a low price and the dishes had great packaging, surviving the 3000 plus miles trip from the UK without a scratch. I am going to order more from this seller!
