This gadget has really hooked us on popcorn as a snack. We had been getting wonderful microwave popcorn from Yoder Popcorn (on the Web), but it got expensive. Then I noticed that they said that the Presto popper could be used with any of their bulk popcorn -at much lower cost. What amazed us was how much better their already outstanding popcorn tasted with the Presto! And the ability to make it with the oil of our choice (we like olive oil) or no oil at all is a great bonus. Entering "presto powercup concentrator" in Google turned up a number of sources (including Amazon) for this essential insert -we ordered ten packs to save on shipping and are sure we will use them in a reasonable time.

The size is great for us -just about as much as a standard microwave pack per popperful. I do not see it as very feasible for more than four or maybe six people at a time, however.

While the Powercups do add to the cost, it still is cheaper than the microwave packs. Using the Yoder popcorn as an example (since the same popcorn is available either in bulk or microwave packs) and assuming that one gets 3 pops per Powercup (half of what Presto says is feasible) the cost comes out about as follows:

Premium white or yellow popcorn, 3.5 oz = $0.13

Olive oil, 0.5 oz = 0.10

Powercup = 0.08

Amoritization of popper = 0.02

Total = $0.33

By contrast, a 3.5 oz microwave pouch of the same popcorn costs $0.65 in bulk.

Actual final costs will be greater for both due to shipping charges, of course, but these do not favor one over the other.

I *love* this device! I experimented with it in my particular microwave and learned that the standard load of 1/3 cup of popcorn (you can use *any* kind) cooks perfectly at 3 minutes, 12 seconds. Any less than that, and some of the kernels don't pop. Any more than that and some kernels begin to burn. The directions say you can use oil inside it, but I don't, because I want the little cardboard inserts to last a long time. I empty the popcorn into a different bowl, then I melt butter in the microwave (3 tbsp. is about right), pour it over the popcorn, add salt and stir well. You can also pour anything else you want over the popcorn, like parmesan or other dried, grated cheese, or herbs and spices. The popcorn this device produces is really, really tasty. Far better than that from microwave popcorn packets, and without the horribly unhealthy trans fats they add to them, too.

I love popcorn and have about 4 or 5 different poppers of various types. I've also tried various homemade methods of popping corn in the microwave. None compares to this simple appliance. It's just a bowl, in which you place a special cardboard cup to hold the kernels. That all sits on a special base and you put the whole thing in the m'wave. You can use oil or not, up to you.

If you want light popcorn, especially if you want air-popped popcorn, there is no better method out there. I had a batch the other night using Jolly Time kernels and I only had 7 duds. The texture is excellent too.

The only drawback is that it's sometimes hard to find the special cups you have to use but luckily they have them here on amazon.

My mom gave me this popper several years back (I'm talking, SEVERAL, when microwaves were still a novelty) and I still use it. I normally don't leave reviews, but I'm in grad school now, without a microwave oven, and looking for an air popper and saw that some folks had not given this popper the love it deserves, so I must point out it's beauty.

Let me start by telling you that I use zero oil, so the concentrators, I bought two little bags of ten (they were a couple bucks each) and I've only ever used about three of them. As long as they're clean and dry (no oil) you can use them over and over again.

Its bowl shape allows for easy storage. Pop the concentrator disk out, dust it off, wash the bowl and dry it, store the disk back in the bowl and you can even stack other bowls inside it. Nice!

I also have to tell ya that I hate plastics--I won't drink from plastic water bottles, I don't store my food in plastic containers, etc, but this is a dry product, with very little condensation on the lid to make the popcorn soggy.

In all, I find this thing absoluetly great! It's easy to clean, lasts forever, if you get a pack or two of the disks you'll probably never run out. (I used one disk maybe 30 times)

One downside: you need to have a microwave that's above the 500 watts the little dinky ones are--if you can call your oven "medium" sized, then it will work. I had one of those low low wattage ones and it never could pop the corn.

Worth every dime. Healthy popcorn too--no oil/fats/butter etc.

Takes 2:50 in my oven--and there's never an old maid!

Bought this product many many years ago and it made perfect popcorn every time. The concentrator cups would last around 15 times each. In September 2008 I purchased two Presto Power Poppers as replacement for myself and my mother after our original Presto poppers developed cracks. We each use this popper about 5 times a week. Both of these new poppers got holes and scorched the concentrator cup and melted the plastic lid the first time we used it. This plastic bowl and lid is MUCH thinner than our original. It makes me very sad they have cheapened this product to the point it is no longer usable. WOULD NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER AND WILL PROBABLY RETURN THESE!

Meaning that the design is great for pouring off excess liquid. The lid has holes on 2 sides for using with the pour spouts on the side of the pot. The holes on each side are of different sizes to permit choice of drainage according to size of food pieces. This is the best design for sauce pan I have ever used. Then add the non stick, easy care, I don't mind not being able to use a dishwasher -using a dishwasher on this pot would be overkill. It just needs hot water with a bit of detergent and a wipe to be clean .

I put "cast iron cookware" on my Christmas list last year, and my husband got me this. First off, it's not very smooth, even after a year of continual use. I very carefully clean and re-season my cast iron after each use. Still, if I rub a paper towel over any of it, I'll have little bits of lint stuck all over it. My two Lodge pieces, which are newer, don't do that they're much smoother. Also, this stuff is made in China. That doesn't sit well with me (I frankly can't believe my husband got me China stuff when we're trying so hard to get rid of chemicals and questionable items like this, but there you have it). Until someone can tell me that there is 100% absolutely no lead or other crap in there that the Chinese don't seem to mind tossing into things to make a buck or two, I'll always wonder. I'm slowly replacing all my Stansport stuff with Lodge for the above reasons. So I basically gave this stuff three stars because it holds my food well as I'm cooking. My two Lodge pieces are different sizes than the ones in this set and I use them whenever I can. I'll slowly switch out all these pieces too. And no, I don't work for Lodge. I happen to own the two brands and I like Lodge better for the aforementioned reasons.

One of the items listed in this set is a 5 quart chicken fryer. This chicken fryer is not large enough to hold a chicken and in fact only holds 2.5 quarts. This is decieving and wrong. I measured the volume with water and rust appeared in the fryer and dutch oven after I measured them. The seasoning was not complete. The handles are very short also. I now understand why the set appeared to be a good value. It's a good price, but you don't get what you think you're getting. I'm going back to Old Mountain cookware.

I was really impressed with these. I loved the easy clean and the way they cook. More expensive pots and pans have a certain evenness in the heat when cooking. The metal core of the pan/pot dissipates the heat evenly. I've bought cheap pans that will have certain areas of the pan that burn food while other areas do not get hot. These work just as good as expensive copper core pots/pans at a bargain price. My only beef was that the must have been sitting a for a long time in some dirty warehouse. They arrived pretty dirty. Not a biggie though. I cleaned and seasoned them. Gonna BBQ with these this Summer! :-)

These are OK they get the job done but they are not great. They warp every other time they are in the oven, which does not fill me with confidence. Also, I have had these baking sheets for about 2 years and they have started to rust. Water collects in the rolled edge and can't escape fast enough to have it dry instead of rust. Luckily I'm getting married soon and can register for a new set of more heavy-duty baking sheets to replace these.

I bought 2 of these sets hoping to replace too many old and mismatched ones that don't stack and take too much of my limited cupboard space (I can't afford a kitchen remodel). HOWEVER, DESPITE WHAT ANOTHER REVIEWER SAID, these cookie sheets ARE DEFINITELY NOT `heavy duty' so they didn't keep their shape or withstand higher baking temperatures or prevent burning. I realized that even at such a bargain price THEY'RE NOT WORTH OUR MONEY IF WE NEED TO REPLACE THEM TOO SOON DUE TO WARPING, OR WE NEED TO BUY AN ADDITIONAL BETTER SET FOR HIGHER TEMPERATURES, OR IF THEY SABOTAGE/BURN OUR BAKED GOODS because this also wastes our valuable time and energy to prepare the dish, plus the food and the money we spent to buy it all, and the wasted energy to run the oven. My second paragraph details my bad experiences but the actual baking results were bad enough that I'm saving up to replace these after only one use. I have 1 Wilton non-stick baking sheet that REALLY IS heavy duty, it has remained flat and sturdy even at high temperatures, hasn't overcooked or burned the bottom of what I've baked, and has even remained non-stick and easy to clean. I'm hoping that a new Wilton set will be as heavy duty and made as well as my old one because I've finally learned that it's far wiser and cheaper in many, many ways to pay more for GOOD cooking and baking tools that will last and function well for decades.

My experience was: 1The largest of these sheet pans had both warped when I was merely greasing them to season them, BEFORE I had even put them into the oven for the first time (YES, even non-stick pans needs seasoned before their first use). The middle sized ones warped in the oven the very first time I used them and my jelly-roll came out too lop-sided (I'm surprised it didn't spill over the edge and make a big mess in the oven). 2I was concerned that each of these pans weighed less than any of my other equally sized sheet pans because the weight (and material) of a pan makes a significant difference in heat absorption and heat distribution. So, although I took the precautions of pre-heating the oven and rotating my pizza's and biscuits on the oven racks ½ way through the baking time, the bottoms were STILL nearly too burned to salvage. 3I think it won't be too long before the first two reviewers have their pans warp or realize that inadequate pans contributes to their baked goods coming out overdone or burned on the bottoms due to chincy pans. 4Like too many persons nowadays, I'm also on a limited budget and I took a gamble to try to stretch my money, so it's worth repeating that I've finally learned it's far, far wiser AND CHEAPER IN MANY WAYS to wait wait until I can afford to invest in genuinely good, durable and well made cooking and baking tools that will last and keep functioning well for decades.

These pans are no exception. I was getting tired of seeing my wife contnuing to use some older pans that were really getting ratty. Purchase a couple sets, washed them and then baked tarts. They turned out great! Completely nonstick, the tarts came right out and cleanup was easy. They're not thin either so they will retain heat well and not get dinged when I drop them in the sink. I would not put them in the dishwasher, but that's my preference. Highly recommended.

The Calphalon Double Pot Rack Hook works well on the "cross beams" of the Calphalon wall rack and hanging racks. You can use them to hang two omelet/frying pans back-to-back or as Calphalon suggests, a pan with its lid. For the wall rack, I recommend buying 2-4 double hooks; for the hanging racks, where you have more room, buy as many as you think you might need. I just moved to a new place and needed a set that wasn't very expensive. This definitely fit that criteria. It's pretty thin but serves the purpose well in most scenarios. I went and bought a non-stick skillet as no amount of oil or pam could keep things from getting stuck to the skillet included in this set... I use all the other pieces though and they work perfectly fine.

I only own the pots that you see in the pic here. I use them mainly to make spaghetti and soups and only once have I had my pasta stick to the bottom but that was due to my error. There was a layer of charred food on the bottom but I let it soak for 15 min in warm soapy water and I was able to easily clean it. I have owned it for a year now and the pots have no stains or burn marks whatsoever. The food stays warm for a long while after you have turned off the heat and frankly, I haven't experienced something negative with this brand.

Mostly I love this pan. I love how it looks, the see through lid, it cleans up easily and the depth of it means if you make gravy in it, you are in no danger of slopping over the sides while stirring vigorously.

However, What I didn't like at all is because it has two handles (rather than one long handle) which look so attractive and is one of the things about it that first caught my eye it takes both hands to pick it up and pour. Sometimes I like to keep the lid in place and use it to "strain" the solid food and be able to pour out any grease or liquids and with this skillet, you can't do that unless you have a second person to help you.

Yes, I could just get out a colander and strain that way but it's just one more dirty dish and after being married for over 20 years, I'm a bit tired of doing dishes and so avoid dirty-ing any extra if at all possible.

One good thing about the two handles is that if you have small children, they are safer in that they don't hang out where a child might be able to grab ahold but I don't have small children so this isn't really a benefit for me.

I'm going to keep the pan for now and will just use it for foods that I won't need to strain.

I don't mean to be overly critical but just thought this might be info that someone would find useful because it never occurred to me until after I'd used the pan a couple of times.

At the last minute before Thanksgiving 06, My Mom decided she had to have a brand new Table cloth. She ordered two from one of those junk mail catalog that arrive monthly. Those cloths came in and were the wrong sizes. She returned those cloths and I went online to hunt down a replacement. I stumbled upon the Reflections 70 Inch Round Tablecloth. We had a tough time choosing a color! We settled on the Stone Blue. We placed the order but when it came down to selecting shipping, we didn't want to pay for overnight service. For some reason it was processed that same day. Amazon got this cloth to us within 3 days (not the 7 to 10 days they told us it would take). Amazon did an outstanding thing by getting this item out and shipped to us so it was in our hands so we didn't have to worry about what we were going to do about a TableCloth. Thanksgiving day were put this beautiful blue table cloth on our table for thankgiving dinner. Mom was to happy that we found suck a nice cloth that did not cost an arm and a leg. She was very happy she didn't have to spend a ton of money getting it here. Our Thanksgiving Dinner was terrific!! Nothing stained or damaged this cloth! Plastic. For those of you trying to avoid it touching your coffee, I have done you some legwork! I called the manufacturer before ordering this product and they claimed there was no plastic on the plunger. Well, this is technically true as all plunging parts are stainless steel, but the lid liner which comes down over the spout and has an additional, unnecessary screen IS plastic. The good news is all you have to do is unscrew the top ball, take the lid off and pull out the whole plastic piece. Then reassemble and you have a TRULY plastic-free pot! For others who are saying it is hard to clean, like all french presses, you must unscrew the bottom portion of the plunger and run water over all the screens. After it is dry, reassemble. It is simple and not a big deal. I can't imagine trying to clean it altogether! And for others still who say it isn't a thermos, well, is that what you expected? This item keeps the coffee hot for about an hour. It's biggest plus is that it won't crack like the glass ones. If you are sick of breaking and replacing the glass carafes in your other french presses and you don't want plastic, this is a great little pot. I made my first pot of coffee in it this morning after removing the plastic top and it worked great, just like the one I bought in Italy 2 years ago for $30 more (still using that one, it is for my husband, and now, after breaking yet another glass one, I bought this one for me.)

I purchased this in January 2012... quite excited to have a french press that was insulated and that I expected to last. Just this week (at less than 4 months old) the handle fell off. Thank goodness it was not full of hot coffee!

Although both welds pulled away from the body of the carafe, the bottom weld came completely off as I was taking it from the counter to the table. My 1 y/o niece was under-foot at the time (aren't little ones always under-foot?) but the sudden break of the handle's weld cause piping hot coffee to spill on her!

For the price I paid, I would expect more than (5) months use!

Bought this as a replacement for a "Starbucks" brand press and couldn't be happier. Unlike our previous insulated french press, this one has virtually no plastic and does not have any rubber pads. This means throwing it in the dishwasher is not a problem. Durability is excellent...like the all metal construction of the press the "close" feature prevents bitter over brewing. Keeps coffee hot for 30 minutes and warm for an hour.

I was skeptical about ordering a non-stick surface griddle for health concerns, however, when I read the description of the surface that was provided with the packaging, I was very pleased. This product is next-generation non-stick, and is not a safety hazard in the the way the old-time non-stick was. The griddle itself is a work of art, especially the part that makes contact with the stove, so I hang it on a hook with the bottom facing out, and it looks like modern, Mexican art hanging in my kitchen. Plus, the griddle works great with my ceramic cooktop stove.

well, I grew up in Russia and am used to crepes being buttery...but with the excellent frying pan you dont really need butter... ironically it makes my favorite dish not as appetizing...go figure... but the pan is very nice

I've used much more expensive cookware, but I think T-fal can't be beat for ease of cleanup and even heating. This is the only brand I will consider now.

New I'd love the slicer, have used them before. Ordered one a few months ago & recently gave it to my elderly mother, so I needed a new one for myself. I think it's much easier for her than a hand held slicer. If you entertain or go to a potluck or picnic & slice cheese, you absolutely need this type of slicer!!

My friend's mom has a similar one (not marble) & she thought the marble would be a nicer/better looking option for just about the same price.

I read the bad reviews and ordered it anyway. It arrived with the wire broken and a crack in the marble. While Amazon cushioned it well in the mailing box, Fox Run needs to secure the handle so that it does not jiggle during shipment that is what breaks the wire in my opinion. A small piece of tape should do the trick. Even so, I replaced the wire and still found that the design does not work well the handle does not stay in and the wire is not taut. I also ordered the Prodyne butcher block cheese slicer and it appears to be better made. I will use it a while and write a review later.
