I was looking for a 12" skillet, not for chicken-frying, but for those "meals in a bag" that I occasionally cook as weekday dinners. This fryer is perfect for that purpose. It is exactly the right size (no spillage of food over the edges, and the lid fits snugly over the food). As long as you prespray with cooking spray or use cooking oil, it is exceptionally nonstick, and cleanup is fast and easy. Oh, and it also works well as a chicken fryer.

It is light and easy to handle. Mine seems to be very sturdy, and I've used it several times a week for nearly six months. For the price, you really can't beat this.

A long time ago, I thought I'd do my husband a favor by replacing his orange, burnt, worn and to my eyes, ugly nylon spatula. Ever since, I've been trying to replace that thing and it's been at least 20 years. This comes about as close as I can get it. So in my book, it's a five star tool not too flimsy but soft enough to bend to scrape the bottom of a pot of bean soul yet firm enough to lift fish off the bottom of the pan.

One reviewer said this spatula was toy sized... well, I use it for 8 egg spinach omelets and 12 ounce burgers and big 'ol flapjacks and no, this spatula is not small. What are you cooking, brontosaur? It's honestly about the biggest spatula in terms of flipper area that I've seen, save for stainless fast food triple patty flippers.

Speaking of stainless, no, this model is not. It will melt if you leave it on the burner. Stainless steel would earn the last star, but come on its $2. That's fifty cents per star.

This is just what i wanted, and just what was advertised. a low priced, good quality spatula to use in my nonstick pan. i am pleased, i paid just a few dollars for all including shipping. it is slightly flexible (i hoped it would have been a bit MORE flexible, i like the really "bendy ones") but it is flexible enough. it claims to be high temp i used it this morning to flip some eggs and it worked well. it didnt scratch my nonstick pan and it is beveled very well to a thin point so you can slide it under a omlette or crepe just perfectly. not much more to sap about a 3 dollar spatula! :P

The best tea kettle I've ever had! I read all the different reviews for all the different Brands of stainless tea kettles & decided to take a chance on this one. I use it several times a day, EVERY day so far, no rust! I love the seamless shape (no fused bottom to worry about leaks or other problems). The stainless lid fits nice & tight (no worry about popping off when tilting the kettle to pour) & fully removes for a nice wide opening for cleaning. The shape is clean & timeless. I bought this tea kettle elsewhere but I wanted to share my experience. I used this kettle daily. Steam came out of the spout and at the water lid (I couldn't get it too tight or I'd never get it off) thereby decreasing the power of the whistle, which ended up close to non-existent. The bottom had begun to rust inside and so I had 'floaters' that had nothing to do with my tea. I only had it for a couple of months so kudos to the Chinese manufacturers that have put together another fine product. It's in the garbage and I'm shopping for another kettle.

Update! It appears Amazon or the vendor has updated the product listing to demonstrate that this is a spoon rest rather than a full sized skillet.

The description of this product is misleading...it is NOT a skillet but instead, might be useful as a spoon rest...assuming your are not using a very large cooking spoon. It's small...very small. It would make a cute wall decoration but forget using it as a skillet of any type. Frankly, given the size, it's not even that appropriate as a spoon rest since the shape omits use of larger spoons due to the upper curvature. Cute idea...if it were MUCH MUCH larger. Don't be mislead by the description. I've contacted Amazon Customer Service to see if it can be updated as this makes a fairly expensive and somewhat inadequate spoon rest and a completely dismal "skillet".

I bought this as a gift knowing it would be the size of a spoon rest. If you understand that up front, you'll be happy. Same Lodge quality you expect, just not a particularly functional size. Judging from the large number of reviewers who were disappointed with the size, maybe Lodge should start manufacturing a pan for all of us who'd love guitar shaped cornbread.

I really love this spill stopper, but while it works very well in certain conditions, it doesn't work in others and there are problems with its usage even working perfectly.

Yesterday I boiled a pot of kluski noodles that was filled nearly to the brim, and the spill stopper prevented it from boiling over, so it really does do what it says. The problem lies in when you go to test one of your noodles, or to otherwise view the contents of your pot. First of all, if you have your pot really full, it will sometimes boil over immediately when you remove the spill stopper. This can be remedied by perfecting the amount of heat you're using on the pot. Typically, my pots only boil over once and then settle down, but whatever temperature I was using the one time this happened to me must have been too high because the water was apparently in a constant state of boiling over. So that's one problem be aware that it may sometimes happen if the heat is too high.

The next is just getting the thing off the pot to test a noodle or when you're done cooking it's holding back lots of hot steam, so you have to be very careful when you remove it or you'll burn yourself. One reviewer mentioned using tongs, which to me is too fiddly. I usually grab both little handles with my hands and quickly bring them up to the center and pull it off. That way my hands are mostly protected by the silicone. It's worked so far, but be aware that you need to come up with some safe, easy method of removing it from your pot.

Additionally, it does not work on pots that have pouring spouts. This only makes sense as the pouring spout will allow boil over beneath the spill stopper, but it's something to be aware of if you haven't considered that possibility, as I had not. I only have one pot with a spout and I hate it anyway, so I'll just avoid using it with this. If your entire set of pots has spouts, though, this won't be a good buy for you.

The final issue I have with this spill stopper is that it's hard to clean. All the starch wants to stick to the silicone and you have to scrub pretty hard to get it off. The starch also wants to get stuck in the little ridges that form the pretty textured design on the top. There is also a ridge running down the center of the bottom of the supports that keep the little removable flower from wilting into the pot. This is the part that really bugs me because I can't understand why that ridge is even there. It seems to me like they could have just designed the supports to be flat, which would make them much easier to clean. Perhaps these cleaning issues are not a problem if you use a dishwasher to clean it, but I don't have a dishwasher, so I can only tell you how annoying it is to hand wash it.

Overall, I would definitely buy this again and would recommend it to others just as long as they're aware of the issues described above. To me, none of those issues are deal breakers, and they're worth it to have a product that does work at its intended purpose very well preventing boil over.

I tried this lid for the first time tonight on potatoes. I was able to cook them on a little higher temperature than normally used with no boil over. Everything contained on the lid. It does spit a little on the stove, but very minimal and not a problem Really happy with it and can't wait to try pasta next. Just be careful lifting the lid, use both handles and lift the whole lid. If you just peek under one side, steam burns, ouch!

I am so happy with both the small and large one. These are the best products for my pans. I had so so many spillovers and they really do work. You just leave the center in there when boiling things etc.

I have also used it for splatter guards (frying things) in which I remove the inside flower looking thing so now I can get rid of my old splatter guard I have now with the handle.

They store right on top of the pots so they do not even take up any extra space. I know they are little pricey but worth every penny.

I purchased these from a different retailer. My mistake, I should have looked on Amazon first. Since I'm a Prime member I could've gotten it cheaper AND shipped for free. I got ours just in time. We prepare pasta salad quite often during the summer months to bring for pot luck or as a quick meal. The worst part about it is having to clean up my cooktop from the inevitable boil over mess. It takes longer to clean-up than to prepare a batch or two of pasta salad. Who wants to clean if you don't have to? I have tried vented lids, putting the lid on with a wide gap over the pot but NOTHING prevented a mess. Who actually stands at a pot and waits for it to boil? I don't and I doubt you do either. It only takes a few seconds to go from just boiling to boiling mess. If you boil water or cook soups & stews on the stovetop, buy these. You will never have to clean-up a boil over mess again. Since it is silicone, you can fold it up and store it in the pot you use it in. I haven't done it yet, but I plan to use it in the microwave when reheating food. It stores easily folded/rolled up in any drawer even in the pot you use it on. It also has little handles you can use to hang it on a pot rack.

I have other silicone products and they vary in quality and thickness. These Spill Stoppers are well-constructed and sturdy. The center portion (looks like a flower petal shape) is thinner gauge than the rest of the product, but it has to be able to flip up to let the boiling water through & prevent the boil over.

As a previous reviewer has mentioned, be careful removing it from the pot. I use tongs to lift it off and have a plate within reach so I have somewhere to place the Spill Stopper when I remove it.

I will update after a more extended period of use to report on its longevity but so far, I'm completely satisfied. I've already ordered a set as a gift & plan to order more for upcoming birthdays and Christmas gifts.

I put "cast iron cookware" on my Christmas list last year, and my husband got me this. First off, it's not very smooth, even after a year of continual use. I very carefully clean and re-season my cast iron after each use. Still, if I rub a paper towel over any of it, I'll have little bits of lint stuck all over it. My two Lodge pieces, which are newer, don't do that they're much smoother. Also, this stuff is made in China. That doesn't sit well with me (I frankly can't believe my husband got me China stuff when we're trying so hard to get rid of chemicals and questionable items like this, but there you have it). Until someone can tell me that there is 100% absolutely no lead or other crap in there that the Chinese don't seem to mind tossing into things to make a buck or two, I'll always wonder. I'm slowly replacing all my Stansport stuff with Lodge for the above reasons. So I basically gave this stuff three stars because it holds my food well as I'm cooking. My two Lodge pieces are different sizes than the ones in this set and I use them whenever I can. I'll slowly switch out all these pieces too. And no, I don't work for Lodge. I happen to own the two brands and I like Lodge better for the aforementioned reasons.

One of the items listed in this set is a 5 quart chicken fryer. This chicken fryer is not large enough to hold a chicken and in fact only holds 2.5 quarts. This is decieving and wrong. I measured the volume with water and rust appeared in the fryer and dutch oven after I measured them. The seasoning was not complete. The handles are very short also. I now understand why the set appeared to be a good value. It's a good price, but you don't get what you think you're getting. I'm going back to Old Mountain cookware.

I was really impressed with these. I loved the easy clean and the way they cook. More expensive pots and pans have a certain evenness in the heat when cooking. The metal core of the pan/pot dissipates the heat evenly. I've bought cheap pans that will have certain areas of the pan that burn food while other areas do not get hot. These work just as good as expensive copper core pots/pans at a bargain price. My only beef was that the must have been sitting a for a long time in some dirty warehouse. They arrived pretty dirty. Not a biggie though. I cleaned and seasoned them. Gonna BBQ with these this Summer! :-)

A bird's beak knife it the absolute best way to peel any vegetable or fruit. And this one is the best one I have used to date. It is uber-sharp, and keeps its sharpness. It is light and easy to grip. The beak shape allows you to slide over the vegetable without digging into the "meat". Removing eyes from potatoes? Easy peasy. Can I say any more great things about this? with my henckels cermax they just scream quality so loud you want to fall down and cry yourself to comfort. with this wusthof it's like meh whatever ! the quality of this knife is like a screwdriver you buy from home depot yeah it does the job, but nothing to get excited about.

its comfortable. it does a good job peeling apples. i use it every day. i have no complaints with it regarding functionality.

but bragging rights ? well it IS a cool knife but only because of the cool shape. the quality though is average and that is obvious to the naked eye. i have a 8" chef from the same Grand Prix II line of wusthof and it has the same uninspiring average quality. My henckels twin four star II Chef has double the quality ( in terms of fit and finish ) and also cuts better due to having a thinner blade than the Grand Prix II Chef. but ok this is not a Chef's knife but i was making a point about fit and finish on the whole line did i mention it is average at best? on the Henckels Twin Four Star it is good, but i felt the Twin Four Star II handle shape was wrong for a paring knife.

as for my Henckels Cermax well just wow they are so in your face awesome that i never use them at all. i just know in my heart i am not worthy so i don't touch them. to use a Cermax knife to make dinner is like using a Hasselblad camera as a hammer ( well, maybe not quite hehe ). besides, i don't think that line has a bird's beak paring knife anyway.

but yeah i hope you get my drift here. get this knife if you want to peel some apples. if you want to make a present to that special somebody get a Shun or something. a Shun will cost more, it will probably work the same, and probably end up chipping the blade eventually, but at least it will be eye candy unlike this uninspiring blob of polymer goo with a blade stuck in it LOL

This 4 quart saucepan is really a must! Perfect for a pound of pasta, boiling veggies, a small batch of sauce, the list is endless. It is also great if you don't feel like pulling out a stock pot or if you are trying to save space on your stove. I love All Clad in general but this one is one of the best. The handle is perfect, the lid is great, it is just an all around great pan and super easy to clean. All Clad quality can't be beat. Once you try one piece you will be hooked too (that is if you are not already :). All Clad offers a lifetime warranty and each piece is superb quality and very well made. There is nothing like top quality stainless steel.

Cleaning Tip: If you should get something stuck to the stainless steel use a product called "Bar Keepers Friend" to clean it. Most supermarkets have it and Kitchen Etc. and Bed, Bath and Beyond carry it too. The container (like a Comet can) is gold with blue and white writing. All Clad recommends it for cleaning stainless steel and it works like a dream and is very inexpensive.

This is a must have pot for any cooking enthusiast that is planning on owning All-Clad's stainless line. The size is versatile, large enough to boil pasta, small enough to make sauces or puddings. I just purchased mine and love it. It cooks evenly and washes up nicely and it's beautiful to look at. I don't think this size comes in any of the sets. You must buy it separately. This comes with a lid already and has a nice grip handle that is easy to hold with one hand, while you are stirring or cooking in the pot. I prefer this one to the 4-quart pot with the two handles as this one is easier to manage at times, when stirring, etc. or when you need your other hand, as I find sometimes in a busy kitchen. If you're thinking of buying a few items of All-Clad, (since they are pricey), this is a must.

This 4 quart pot is one of the two pots I use the most (along with the 2 quart). It is a true workhorse. It's perfect for pasta, especially spaghetti, for up to about 4 adults.

One important note: buy the one with the loop! It's worth the extra money. As another commentator mentioned, this pot gets very heavy when full. My aunt pointed out that older people, or smaller women, might have trouble with this. Trying to lift and pour this pot can be quite a workout. I wish I had the one with the loop opposite the handle. (Better yet, I wish I had 2 loops instead of the handle. That one is called the 4 Quart Casserole.)

Like all All-Clad products, this pan is an exceptional product. The heat transfers evenly and it's great for candy making. Unfortunately, the handle is quite uncomfortable and pouring contents is incredibly difficult and uncomfortable. The handle is grooved and not substantial enough for the weight of the pan.

My wife is Asian and we spotted this online. We enjoyed many meals in restaurants over in Asia using these at the table. Unfortunately, in comparison, this item is truly low, low quality. Very thin metal... So thin we kinda worry it will melt or suffer some once heat is applied .

To be fair, we have yet to use this item, but simply from a 'feel' standpoint we feel this is definitely NOT worth the money. Better to go to a specialty shop to see and 'feel' the utility before you buy.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This pan has been very very good. It is very well constructed and has an even heat inductance. It's heavy, but has a very comfortable handle and the non-stick surface has been the best I've ever used. This is certainly the most expensive pan I've ever owned, so I cannot comment on its performance next to other pans in it's price range, but it FAR out performs my previous fry pan (a $50 Calphalon pan from Target). In the end, my only real concern is the price. So far, I really do feel it's been worth it, but only time will tell. If the pan holds up well under extended use then it will prove to be a wonderful product worth the high price.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I've owned a few Scanpan pans over the years. I also recently purchased a new ceramic glass top range and have slowly been replacing my cookware. Scanpan makes some of the best, long-lasting pans on the market. The IQ 10.25-inch fry pan is no different.

Quality and craftsmanship is something that Scanpan takes seriously. The pan is Pfoa-free and while it's safe for metal utensils, I've never used them on my non-stick skillets. I always use silicon or plastic utensils and I always hand wash them. Even though they almost always say dishwasher safe I just never like putting expensive items like this in the dishwasher. If you keep care of it, the pan will last a long time. With that said, the pan has gotten a bunch of use and has cooked all types of food. It has held up considerably well. It's not easily scratched and surface (inside and outside) maintains its finish.

I've not had any problems with food sticking in this pan or any other Scanpan that I've owned. Cooks evenly and works on smooth glass top surfaces (as well as most other cooking surfaces). Clean up is a snap.

The fry pan is oven safe up to 500 degrees. I find the weight of this particular pan to be of medium weight. Certainly not heavy, but not the lightest I've ever held. On the lighter end, somewhere in the middle. Of course, something of this quality is bound to have some weight to it, but it's still easy to handle and use. My only gripe with Scanpan are the sizes of some of their pans. At 10.25-inch, you'll likely find that most of your existing lids are not going to work.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a solid, heavy pan. Strange instructions to heat first then add oil. Not sure why. Heats very fast. Handle is comfortable but I don't love the plastic feel. Although heavy, I did acquire a dent pretty quickly...maybe one of the kids dropped it. The non-stick is excellent. I would highly recommend this.

Heats evenly, cooks beautifully with oil or dry -even made pancakes to test the heat conductivity, cooked them perfectly! Even better than my griddle designed to cook pancakes. This pan would be ideal for crepes also.

This is a fairly shallow pan, lower edges/sides than any other saute pan I have ever owned, I really love it -easier to remove eggs, pancakes and other delicate items. While the sides of pan are not deep enough to stir fry large amounts of veggies like fresh spinach or chard, it works great for most everything else including onions, asparagus, bell peppers, eggs and sauces.

The handle has a nice padded grip, easy to hold and the overall weight of the pan is very good, not so heavy it gives me carpel tunnel, but sturdy and solid quality -the thickness of the bottom of the pan keeps the base perfectly flat, even tho my oven burner isn't! And the non-stick coating may be the best quality I have ever used.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This has got to be the nicest non-stick surface I've ever used. I am not a master chef by any means. I like a lot of things extra well done and sometimes I accidentally burn stuff and have to scrub the charred food from my pans. The non-stick surface is like something that arrived from another planet. I can practically use one pass of a paper towel and get all the crud out of the pan. Unlike other non-stick surfaces, it's fairly easy to brown your food without adding a ton of butter. It's the only non-stick cookware I've ever used that advertises that the use of metal utensils is fine. We don't have an induction stove, so I cannot review that functionality but I've been very impressed with this light weight, but very durable pan. My other pans' lids fit this one perfectly as well. A fine piece of cookware for any kitchen.

I should have looked at the size before purchasing it. These make about 1 in tall rice squares. Haven't used it.

It makes tiny triangles of delicious sticky rice. I use sushi rice to ensure they stick together. Remember to use hot rice and the cubes unmold fairly intact.
