I have been looking for a good chopping board for ages and this one is the best I've used so far. The wooden ones need good caring and I simply don't have the time to oil them so they've gone dry. I've also used a bamboo one but it cracked after a while and for me it's a bit too heavy to lift and wash. I enjoy the Epicurean cutting board immensely it's light, easy to carry around and wash, leaves only very light cutting marks and protects my Zwilling knives. Also it doesn't need oiling so it always looks fab!

The board is very light for its size and appears to be quite durable. And it's easy to clean.

But it has a very hard feel--more like cutting on glass or granite than on a traditional wood or plastic board. If you do any chopping, it sounds like machine gun fire. And if you do slicing/rocking with a curved chef's knife, it's still has a pretty harsh feel. I still haven't used it long enough to judge whether it really doesn't dull knives any faster than wood--but I have doubts, given how it feels.

Also, out of the box it had a horrible smell--like a wet dog wearing a wet wool sweater. But after a run through the dishwasher, it went away. Not sure if it will ever reappear (tho I note that Cook's Illustrated described the device as having a bad, lasting odor).

This is an excellent cutting board. It's nice to have a large board with a juice groove that is dishwasher safe. I prefer wood for cutting non-bacterial stuff like produce, but this is perfect for things like poultry. I also used it to carve a rotisserre chicken, and was quite pleased. The one minor flaw is that I have a granite countertop, and unless I place a towel underneath it slides a little if I'm doing some serious chopping. But as it's meant to be usable on two sides, I don't mind very much.

I've had this slate w/ black juice groove board in the 13 x 18 size for 2 years now. It is our only cutting board and we use it for cutting meat, veggies, and bread. Really, it had only the faintest of cutting marks on it up until a month or so ago. It was at that time a month ago that I started using a heavy meat cleaver to hack through turkey necks for our dogs' raw diet. Yes, it's showing considerable marks from hacking apart over 50 pounds of turkey necks with that meat cleaver, as you might have guessed.

It has no stains on it, though I suppose we don't really cut anything on it that would stain it, but I thought it worth mentioning that it hasn't discolored at all. It is a bit of a hassle to store it in our cupboards so we leave it out all the time, propped up on our counter. When we first got it I washed it a few times in the dishwasher but it does take up quite a bit of space so now we just give it a quick wash in the sink, easy breezy.

It still is a handsome cutting board even with those meat cleaver hacks and we'll continue to use it.

**UPDATE** Well, when I used the meat cleaver to cut apart 50 lbs of turkey necks with this cutting board, it survived. The same can't be said when my husband helped me out by hacking apart 30 lbs of turkey necks for our dogs' raw diet... he can swing the cleaver a lot harder than I can to cut through a turkey neck in one swing. The cutting board has met its end, the top layer has been chopped and marked up enough that it has peeled up, revealing a composite-type material underneath the pretty exterior. We'll continue to use this cutting board for raw turkey necks but we had to get a new cutting board for other tasks. So, to make a long story short, don't bring a meat cleaver down hard repeatedly upon this Epicurean cutting board. Yes, we should have known better. :)

We ordered two of these a few weeks ago, because we were tired of buying less expensive cutting boards and having them warp almost immediately (we took good care of them drying them immediately after washing, standing up to dry, but they'd still warp and separate). So far, we have had no problems with these whatsoever. No warping, they dry almost immediately after washing, and they don't nick and scratch as easily as wood cutting boards.

They are very smooth, so you might need to put some kind of mat underneath them to keep them from moving around if you're kneading dough or something, but other than that it hasn't been an issue. Highly recommend, well worth the price!

I needed and all-around skillet. My wife passed away and used to be the chef around here. I use this pan for everything I know how to cook, or at least try. Sausage patties and eggs in the a.m. Throw a steak on with some onions for dinner.

Before this squeezer I bought a pliers-shaped squeezer which is a disaster.

With pliers-shaped squeezers you can not get the whole juice from the lemon and they also squeeze juice from the lemon's peel which causes your juice to taste bitter.

I originally had the Norpro version of this juicer, and loved it. Over the years it got kind of nasty. So I ordered two of these to replace the Norpro. I use juicers a lot for cooking. The plastic bowls on these are getting horribly pitted and almost "scarred". I believe that the acids in the juice are actually eating into the plastic. I can't think of any other explanation. This is a concern to me. Are plastic chemicals leaching into my juice? I'm going back to the Norpro.

I have a key lime tree in the yard and this little juicer is perfect for juicing key limes which are smaller than regular Persian limes. This simple product does the job and it was at a very reasonable price. However, it's best to use this when you need to juice only a few limes -I don't recommend using this small juicer for big jobs, it's better to use an electric juicer if you have a lot of fruit to juice.

I love All-Clad and had wanted a double boiler set with a ceramic (not stainless) insert. This arrived quickly and in pristine condition ... carefully packaged, complete with a cloth cover for the pan. I've used it once to make custard. Turned out great BUT I realize the ceramic insert does such a good job of keeping the heat down, that it took me longer to make than I'm used to (took longer to thicken as ceramic doesn't get as hot as steel).

Having said that, this is a great buy and I'm so glad I found it. Will do wonders for ensuring I don't ruin sauces by overheating.

I've been wanting a double boiler for quite some time and finally took the plungeI'm not disappointed. The piece is in beautiful condition and came carefully packaged. The wall of the stainless steel base and the porcelain insert are both very thickeven the lid is heavy! The handles are solid and riveted to the body of the panvery solid construction.

I was hemming and hawing over the price ($180 for the porcelain double boiler vs. $50 for an average stainless steel double boiler) but I'm really glad I invested in the porcelain. I use it mostly for ganache bases and custards. It does take a lot longer to melt chocolate in this than a regular pan or even a glass bowl set in boiling water (which is what I used to do) but it's gentler and gives you better results. The risk of over heating and curdling custard is also lower because everything is slowed down a bit thanks to the insulation value of the porcelain.

Even though this is a great product and cheaper than the $255 Williams-Sonoma advertises for the same product, consider the use value carefully. If you're only needing a double boiler once or twice a year, you may be better off sticking to the old "glass-bowl-in-a-pan-of-boiling-water" method.

These are great spatulas. They have virtually replaced all of my other cooking utensils. I tend to favor the larger ones but will use the smaller ones in a pinch. I have to remember to pop the heads off to wash so the wood handles do not swell and warp in water. I do put the heads in the dishwasher and they come out fine. I have not had a problem with the heads slipping off during use if I pay attention to putting the larger heads on the larger handles. The red is BRIGHT!

I got these through a corporate gift program so they did not cost me anything...I question whether I would spend the money on them though. They are expensive spatulas!

I received this set as a free gift with the purchase of a French oven. It is very handsome, and the crock is well-made. The spatulas are made of very flexible silicone, which is really too soft to be of much use for anything but scraping thin batter. The spoon collapses under the slightest weight. I do not recommend this product to anybody. The whistle on this kettle is made out of cheap plastic. After around 2 weeks of use the whistle melted. This can possibly start a fire at your house if the melted plastic will come in contact with flammable materials. I used the kettle on a gas stove. You might be safe if you have an electric stove, since there is not that much heat radiated around the burner. However, this is defiantly a design flaw and I think the product should not be sold as it is not safe to use.

Mine developed burnt marks on the sides in under a month of daily usage (and no I never had the stove turned up to surpass the bottom of this pot.)

Visually it looks pretty bad with big burnt marks all over the sides.

When the time comes to buy a new one it will not be this one.

My dearest husband started collecting a range of dishes while living in Denmark. When we got married we expanded on his collection, adding the larger pieces. This bowl is so practical. For roasting veg I can pull this out of the oven and put it right down on the dinner table. I have also cooked smaller meat joints, fish and even shepherds pie in it! The best part about this dish is that it can hold up to six servings of veg in it. We have other oven to table dishes but this one is much lighter and the handles make it easier to hold. I wanted a gratin dish that was right-sized for two to four people. There were great items in places like Williams Sonoma (honestly one of my favorite stores) that had designs on them that would not have worked with my china, and were seriously overpriced. The reviews I read on this product and on all Pillivuyt stoneware were good, so I tried it.

Wonderful. Works perfectly, looks great on the table, easy to clean. I plan to buy more pieces (now there is the perfect measure of "liking"). Very well priced not the cheapest, but not ridiculous either.

Bought this size and a 20 Qt size at the same time and use the 16 Qt by far much more often. Actually got them for my Holiday Open House, when I usually serve 2-3 different soups. The bottoms of these pans make it easy to serve for this type of event the food won't burn! (Obviously you have to watch the level of heat and stir occasionally) Use the 16 Qt all the time to make marinara sauce, mac and cheese for a large group, and of course soups, too. HIGHLY recommend this product and especially the 16 Qt size unless you have more room between your cooktop and range-top than I do! Whatever size it's a GREAT product great find! If I could have rated it a 20 I would have!

I have been cooking and using stainless cookware for years. I cook almost daily, and needed a large stock pot for making soup and boiling pasta.

The 16 Qt. size is perfect for my needs. It seems well constructed and the lid fits tightly.

With that said, after only using the pot a few times, and for basically just boiling water, the bottom of the inside of the pot started to develop small rust spots. I tried to scrub them out to some success, but they just returned the next time I used it.

I had bought a calphalon stainless wok at the same time, which gets used much more often, that has none of these issues.

I contacted the seller, and they told me after the 30 day time period, they could not take it back. They did tell me however that they would send my information to the manufacturer and I would get a phone call from them. I did not get a call, and nobody ever contacted me about this product. I believe you should have decent customer service if you are going to sell products on Amazon. Most companies I deal with are a pleasure. It is a shame that these guys do not have their act together.

I rarely write a negative review, if ever, but I paid good money on a product that is not as advertised. I have had stainless cookware items that are lasting years without problems. This one did not last a few days without corroding. Unacceptable.

I love this little tool for frying and grilling when you need to melt cheese on hamburgers, chicken, grilled cheese, etc. It works better if you can squirt some water in the hole to create steam. The only downside is that it will get HOT and you have to use the end of a spoon or some kind of utensil to remove it so you don't burn yourself. Pretty handy item!

We have used this pan every weekend for a year. Don't bother making mix from scratch Hungry Jack's "just add water" pancake mix makes wonderfully light and fluffy Ebelskivers. We add blueberries and raspberries to our Ebelskivers (fresh in season, frozen but thawed in warm water the rest of the year).

Yes, it is nonstick but I find a little butter is necessary to keep the Ebelskivers from sticking if they have fruit in them, plus the butter is essential to taste, in my opinion. I add a small, thin slice of butter to the bottom of each Ebelskiver hole once it's hot (heat over low or medium low heat). Once the butter melts, add batter to each hole to just slightly below the hole's rim (beware, center hole heats quickest, so add butter to that hole last and add batter to that hole first). Now add fruit or jelly to center until batter rises to rim or just above the rim.

Once brown on bottom, use a small silicone heat resistant spatula to flip the Ebelskivers over. While the flip takes a little practice, it is easy to catch on to. Trust me, guests and family will be impressed with these unusual breakfast treats AND will be amazed at the taste! We top our Ebelskivers with real maple or blueberry syrup and a small dollop of whipped cream ("Reddy Wip" make not be haute cuisine, but it sure tastes good!).

NOTE ABOUT CAST IRON: We also own a cast iron Ebelskiver pan, which we hate. No matter how many times I've tried to season and oil the pan, the Ebelskivers stick which ruins the Ebelskivers. Plus, I have a bad neck which is irritated by trying to use caste iron, which is very heavy and difficult to use for making Ebelskivers. Just be sure to wash the nonstick pan by hand and don't use forks or other metal utensils to turn the Ebelskivers.

I was worried at first that I wouldn't be able to find an Aebleskiver pan that worked on a glass top range, but then I was able to find this Nordic Ware Flat aluminum pan at a specialty hardware store. My first attempt at making the tasty Danish treats was a huge success. Aluminum conducts heat very well, so I was able use low heat only 3 out of 10 on the dial, and it made perfectly round Aebleskivers in a quick amount of time. The non stick surface needs very little oil or butter, and was super easy to clean using warm water and a mild soap. I would recommend this pan for any one who has a flat glass top radiant heat range.

My son saw the infomercial for the Pancake Puff pan on TV. I know first-hand, coming from a Swedish family, that this is nothing new. My 97 year old Grandmother has several cast iron versions hanging in her home. I asked for one and she gladly handed it over. My father commented that he always thought they were egg poachers. We fired up stove but with the age of the pan and the natural difficulty of cast iron, my aebelskivers came out very poorly. So, I threw heredity to the wind and went online to find a teflon version. My son was so excited to use this. Any batter will work, but it must be a thinner mixture than what most normal boxed mixes result in. Anyone who complains that they can't turn these with absolute ease is not doing it correctly. The object is not to poke the aebelskiver and manually flip it. You are really just using the stick (or whatever you use) to spin it over so the uncooked side cooks. Just slide the stick under and sort of spin it under itself. It'll spin right around. We have a lot of fun with this. I also bought the cookbook that Amazon sold as a package with the pan. There are only a few pages of recipes that can be used with the pan. The rest are Scandinavian recipes every Grandmother has in her own recipe box. They can easily be halved; we are a family of 4 and always have too many leftover when we use the regular recipe.

I'm probably addicted to the entire Berndes SignoCast Classic line of cookware. Every time I see a really great deal on a piece, I grab it. There simply is no better non-stick cookware! The vast majority of my cookware is quality 18/10 stainless, including several pieces of All Clad. Generally, I prefer to cook without non-stick, because I don't care for the way meats brown in non-stick and, with some foods, that I know will adhere to the pan, I want to be able to clean with an abrasive pad. Yet, for eggs, pancakes, crepes, and other egg based preparations, I prefer a non-stick surface.

When I received my first piece of Berndes SignoCast Classic, I noticed the screw, holding the handle was slightly loose. To be certain it didn't have stripped threads, I removed it and, upon observation, thought it might be a bit short. I replaced it with a screw, one-eighth inch longer. I really don't think it was necessary, but in almost two years, it's not loosened a bit.

I've bought every piece I own at terrific sale prices, either from Amazon, Warehouse Deals, or another Amazon noted retailer. Watch for the sale prices!

A perfectly fine frying pan that has a major flaw -the handle. It falls off because it's improperly attached with a short screw. Not worth it.

Bought one of these pans many years ago for my wife and she absolutely lovves it. Says it is the best all around stove top pan she has ever used. Unfortunately, the coating became damaged (probably our own fault) and so I bought her a replacement. We will take extra care that we follow the care instructions carefully with this new pan.

I purchased this pan to replace another of the same pan which was about 8 years old and held up very well. This one is improved as it has the nonstick coating all around much easier to clean. Even heating, easy clean, great size, needs a lid which is easy to find on Amazon. Great product..

I love this pan. It heats up absolutely evenly, and has a very predictable heating and cooling rate. The non-stick surface is superb. However, I carefully maintain my equipment. I use only silicone coated tools, I wash only by hand, never overheat while empty, and cook only on a gas stove.
