And anyone can use it, whether you are right handed, left handed, or -like a politician -underhanded. It's Swiss quality! See that loop on the side? That gets the eyes of your potatoes, and cleans up pineapples without wasting any fruit! It even slices cheese into wafer thin slices, effortlessly!

I have 3 years buying this peeler and absolutely love it and will never use another as long as I can. It peels everything so easily, quickly and slices thin as well. Like coleslaw? Well this makes thin slivers of cabbage a breeze. The handle can be turned around to scoop out the guts of a melon, pumpkin etc... The notch on the side pulls out the eyes of potatoes easy as well.

I have arthric hands and cannot peel without causing me much pain but with this wide handle, I can for long periods of time without effort. I gift these to all the cooks I know and we are all in awe of this great product.

I will be honest and state that it does rust easily if you do not oil the hinge after every use (cooking oil is all that is needed), and is not dishwahser safe but it is worth the effort.

I've had this for over a year, and I love it. Everyone that ever used it in my kitchen also loved it.

Just be careful and don't use it for peeling small or round things like apples for example, or you'll cut nice thin pieces of your holding thumb just like I did.

This peeler is perfect for big potatoes, squash, carrots, cucumbers, or anything that's elongated.

Also, do not wash it in the dishwasher, or leave it in water. Just rinse it right after use and hang it to dry. You don't want rust on it, do ya?

Honest reviews on Swisspro Vegetable Peeler

I've been using the same peeler for at least 10 years. It is finally starting to die slowly. I never oiled it, washed it in the dishwasher all the time. It just kept working like it was new all these years. I bought it at a flea market in Stormville, NY for about $2.50. I sure have gotten my money's worth.

You know when you peel a pineapple with a knife and you leave all the bits behind? Use the eye, you pull the bits out the back. Use the same eye, you're gonna make really good french fries. You know why they're so good? They've got three sides, not four (that's how the French make them). They use less oil, and they cook quicker. And if you want to make them taste great, you leave the skin on the potato. You don't peel it, you wash it. Cook them like that with the skin on. And if you cook these yourself without trans-fat, you wash them down with red wine, you'll never die. You'll live forever.

I was tired of my frostings, custards and sauces that required an electric mixer use during cooking sloshing over the sides of the smaller double boiler I have.

I bought this one on sale at Amazon and it works wonderfully for my confections.

It is large with high sides. There is a ridge where it sits in the boiler pan that you have to pay special attention to when washing.

Shipping was speedy and I was able to use this for my cooking during Christmas.

I highly recommend this pan.

The bottom can be used for every day cooking and the lid is a nice bonus.

The pans arrived very quickly and were very well packaged. They are very attractive pans. I am glad I ordered this set. They look like they will be very durable and well suited for the intended tasks. I love buying from Amazon!

Honest reviews on T-fal A9099694 Specialty Stainless Steel 3-Quart Double Boiler

Love this product perfect for my needs. Keeps the chocolate wafers soft for hours while I'm dipping candy. If you use a microwave to melt your wafers, you only have about half an hour to work before the chocolate hardens. Easy to clean and nice even temperature. Very happy with my purchase. Would recommend it to my friends.

I purchased this for my mother who is starting to get into candle making and needed a double boiler to melt wax with. I bought this particular one because all my mom needs is a simple, inexpensive pot.

I was impressed with how sturdy and solid the pots feel. The melting pot sits snugly and securely onto the bottom pot due to a flange (ring) around the bottom of it. The bottom pot is non stick and can be used as a regular pot complete with glass lid. The handles are comfortable and feel sturdy in the hand.

Overall I think I got a pretty good value with this and my mom is happy as well :)

Well, since getting this Meatballer, I have played with it.

At first with meatballs and then with cake pops.

And even though I have different recipes for meatballs (I tried two varieties, one wetter one dryer) they both did not work. I tried just leaving them in this shape to see if they would magically end up round (I fried one batch, baked one batch) And my conclusion is that if you want OVAL with a definite indented line in the middle (think Macaroon halves put together)...this is for you!

HOWEVER, if you wanted "Round" Balls, without having to reshape them, then these are just a waste of time and money, in my humble opinion. Easier way? Use your cookie scoop, or use a scale to weigh them to get them all uniformly sized.

This product works well-although I don't use it to make meatballs. It's a great cake pop maker! It really helps to get the size consistent, and it was hard for me to find another 1.5" baller, which is what Bakerella sizes her cakeballs at in her book. Highly recommend if your as bad as I am at getting consistent sized balls!

Best Deals for Fox Run 278 Stainless Steel Meatballer, 1.5-Inch

The meatballer did not work at all. The meat stuck to the inside of the baller and I was not able to form into balls. If it would have stuck I don't think it would have compacted the meat enough to form a nice meatball. I ended up using my hands, so needless to say the purchase was a waste of money

Honest reviews on Fox Run 278 Stainless Steel Meatballer, 1.5-Inch

Works like a charm and the same size every time is great. Have to tap it a little to get the meatball out, but I think its worth it.

This baller is great and very well built. It is a bit heavier than I anticipated but it makes the utensil stronger to use.

The reason I gave 4/5 stars is because I was expecting it to be circular shape instead of cylindrical. I was hoping it would be a perfect (or near perfect) circle ball but it is not. The item is longer than it is wide. I anticipated using it for my cake pops, but we'll have to see.

As a meatballer it is perfect!

Just bought this Global GSF-46 paring knife for my wife for Mother's Day. I am a huge fan of Global's forged knives as I like a heavier knife that is wicked sharp. The blade is wicked sharp as expected, but unexpectedly wafer thin. Note the dimensions above (I didn't) at .02 inches.

I'd describe the handles as being about the same width as a butter knife or letter opener. That is not to say it's bad, just thinner than expected. Smaller hands may especially like this feature. The pictures don't convey this aspect at all and as normal, most Global descriptions focus on how Global knives are different from other makers, rather than the attributes of a particular knife.

Since we just started using it I'm remaining open minded to the new handle style (compared to the relatively cylindric regular handles). After using it to peel a wide variety of fruits and vegetables I am getting used to the new style, and may very well end up liking it better this the larger handles of the competitors conventional knives.

Most importantly, the blade is sharp and holds an edge like all other forged Globals. I am confident I'll have no problems sharpening it with the Global ceramic rod.

Overall, great little knife that easily usurped several of our lower quality paring knives in one fell swoop. I look forward to many years of dependable service.

I love this product I was so upset when mine broke because I dropped it. I looked in all the stores and could not find it then tried amazon. I'm so glad that they had it. Its a brick red color with a beige interior. Cleans really easy. Dishwasher safe. No more soaking a pan. My next purchase is going to be the pie plate and loaf pan.

This dish is a perfect size for a smaller casserole. I like the depth for cooking a small roast with a gravy. Cleaning is no problem, I spray it with Pam before cooking. If food is stuck to it, just let it soak in very hot water with liquid detergent and everything comes off. I would recommend this product to everyone.

We weren't able to try the product out because it arrived shattered in pieces. I was hesitant to purchase this based on a couple other reviews that it arrived broken, but thought I'd give them a chance. The dish looked pretty int he picture and the price was good, but now I'm regretting not listening to the other reviews. I hope the company takes the time to read the reviews and does something about their packaging so that this doesn't continue to happen to others. It's fustrating to have to return products.

I wanted this to boil potatoes, and it does that, but it's so hard to scrub the potato starch out of the mesh that I use a completely different mashed potato recipe. Buy the pasta insert instead with holes punched in a solid panel of metal, which should do everything you'd want from the mesh insert. By the way after years of professional and amateur bartending and catering I rate this as the BEST ICE BUCKET EVER. User-friendly and keeps ice frozen for hours, and doubles as a cooking pot the rest of the year. However, my recommendation to buy the hole-punched pasta insert still applies for the same reasons.

Seriously, though, BEST ICE BUCKET EVER.

Excellent pot for large batches of pasta or veggies or anything you want to boil. You could likely choose to use it to deep fry, as well , but I have the all clad deep frying basket for that. However, this one would certainly hold much more. And you can choose not to use the insert and you have the best priced all clad stock pot on the market. (The 8 qt stock pot currently runs $259.) As with all All Clad products, this set is very well made and will not disappoint. Excellent value rating from an All Clad lover and loyal user.

In our house, we're always fighting over the brownies at the edges and corners (no one likes the gooey parts.) With this pan, we all get what we want. Plus, I can add walnuts to my portion without impacting anyone else's part. I tried the banana bread recipe that came with the baker's edge this week and it's a very good recipe. You need to treat the pan gently, so no metal implements, and no metal scrubbers. I wish there were more products like this.

Oh, man, why didn't I think of this idea?! This terrific little item was my lovely birthday gift today, and I have delicious, chewy-edged brownies to show for it already! Yum, yum. They baked up perfectly and came out of the pan without a hitch. Even the drips popped right off, just like a nonstick pan should perform. The pan is a sturdy, solid hunk of aluminum that will no doubt last for years to come. Hand wash this pan and use the little included spatula, sized to fit through the channels. Can't wait to try other recipes. I promise you will love this pan, so get it right now!

I have to admit that I am not an edge brownie fan--I always will pull from the middle of the dish if possible. I was a skeptic until I ate my first cookie bar out of this pan. Even if you are not an edge fan, you will be a fan of this pan because it is the PERFECT solution for the uneven baking problem. I no longer have to throw away the edge corner brownies that are hard and that no one in my house will eat. I just bake the dish for slightly less time and I have no wasted pieces. I am and continue to be amazed at the quality of baking this pan provides. Not only is it the highest quality in construction but allows me to make dishes that are evenly baked and present nicely...EVERY TIME! Guests at my house get excited when they see that I have been baking in my Baker's Edge pan and I no longer have conventional 13X9 pans in my kitchen because the pan allows me the versatility of baking other things as well. Even if you are not an edge brownie fan or if you are also a skeptic...you MUST try this pan. I am confident that you will be the next one writing your review.

Honest reviews on Baker's Edge Nonstick Edge Brownie Pan

I read lots and lots of reviews before buying this pan (including many websites other than Amazon.com). For the price of this pan, I wanted to be sure it was something I was going to like before ordering.

I have only tried it twice -the 1st time with a Betty Crocker Traditional/Original Brownie mix and the 2nd time using a Betty Crocker Chocolate Chunk Brownie mix. The first time, I found it a little difficult to pour the batter into the channels of the pan without getting it onto other parts of the pan. The batter was thin enough that I thought I would be able to shake the pan and get it leveled out. I eyeballed it and, very carefully (so as not to get batter up the sides of the pan), moved some of the thicker areas of batter into the thinner areas. Although I thought I had it level, as it was baking and rising, I could see that I did not. When testing for doneness, I chose to bake long enough to get the thickest section done, with the end result being that the thinner sections were too dry. Even my husband, who thinks anything chocolate can't be bad, thought they were too dry. I removed them from the oven 2 minutes before the minimum baking time (per directions on brownie mix box).

The mix I used the 2nd time was far thicker than the Traditional mix, so everything that I found "a little difficult" before was 3 times more difficult. I worked and worked at getting it spread into all the channels, determined to get the batter level this time. I checked for doneness 6 minutes before the minimum recommended baking time, but they were not done until the exact minimum baking time (per box directions). This time they were not dry, but the thicker sections were too gooey and underdone for my taste.

After reading all the good reviews and ordering it, I had planned on buying 2 more later to give as gifts to my daughter and my daughter-in-law. Now that I have used the pan a couple times and am finding it difficult to level the batter, I have decided not to. I don't really want to give a gift that requires warning the recipients of the problems they are likely to have with it.

Right now, I DO think this pan bakes more evenly than traditional 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 pans (I never use 13 x 9 pans for brownies), but spreading the batter evenly IS a pain. I don't understand why none of the other reviews mention the problem of getting the batter even.

I WILL say the quality/construction/material of this pan is excellent. I didn't grease the pan or use any cooking spray the 2nd time I used it, and the brownies still came out of the pan very easily--more easily than the other (greased) pans/baking dishes I used to use. Also, you would think this pan might be hard to wash with all the channels, but not so. It only takes about 15 seconds (no pre-soaking necessary) and it's completely clean.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Baker's Edge Nonstick Edge Brownie Pan

I saw a review for this pan in the latest issue of Fine Cooking Magazine and knew I had to have it. I made brownies in it today and they turned out beautifully. The only thing wrong with the free spatula that came with it is that I am left handed and it is for a right hander. It is a perfect size to get through the channels in the pan tho. I think this is a great and unusual gift for anyone that bakes and for someone that might bake occasionally like me. Love it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program So, you are thinking about buying a nonstick cookware set? And you're wondering if you should buy a more expensive set or a less expensive set? Well, let's compare two sets to help you decide. We will use this less expensive Farberware set, and the much more expensive Anolon Advanced Hard Anodized Nonstick 11-Piece Cookware Set.

Okay, first, you need to ask yourself who will be using the cookware, and will anyone possibly mistreat your new pots and pans? For example, this Farberware set is suppose to be used with only plastic utensils, whereas the Anolon set can be used with metal utensils. But the Anolon is suppose to be hand washed, whereas the Farberware can be put in the dishwasher. Apparently, neither are suppose to be used with a really high heat setting on the range. ( And if you are worried about PFOA, which the EPA does not seem to be where nonstick cookware is concerned, never use the pans on high heat, and toss them if the nonstick surface begins to flake.) In the oven, the Anolon is good for up to 450 degrees, and the Farberware up to 350 degrees. Of course, the question here is who puts these type of pots and pans in the oven and why?

Next, how important is appearance and weight to you? The Anolon set is a truly beautiful black set. The Farberware not as pretty . . . only because it's much cheaper . . . but still a lovely brushed silver color. The handles on the Anolon are padded with silicone and are dual riveted. That means they are attached very tightly and you see no screws. The Farberware handles are not padded, and are attached with one visible screw. This means you can easily tighten any handles that become loose with a screwdriver. Now, for all you weight conscious cooks: The 10 inch skillet in the Farberware set weighs 1 pound, 2.8 ounces, whereas the 8.5 inch skillet in the Anolon set weighs 1 pound, 11.6 ounces. The 3 quart Farberware saucepan weighs 1 pound, 2 ounces, while the 1.5 quart Anolon saucepan weighs 1 pound, 1.2 ounces. One of the Farberware lids weighs 1 pound, 4.4 ounces, and an Anolon lid of the same size weighs 1 pound, 6.2 ounces.

Most importantly, does the much less expensive Farberware set work well on the range? Well, I have encountered no problems at all using a ceramic glass radiant range top . Nothing has stuck to any of the pots and pans, and I have used the highest heat to make omelets. I have also used the highest heat to burn the edges of bologna . . . a leftover childhood thing . . . only we didn't call it bologna back then . . . we called it baloney. I've also repeatedly washed the pots and pans in the dishwasher with excellent results.

So, which set to get? Well, if you have kids who you fear will destroy your nonstick cookware, you might want to get this Farberware set. Or, actually, you could get three sets of the Farberware for the cost of one set of the Anolon. Then, if a pot or pan is destroyed by the kids, you can just pull out an exact duplicate from one of the other two sets. (This will teach your children that they will not make you cry!) Or, if you really like beautiful, heavyweight cookware, you might get the Anolon set for yourself, and a Farberware set for the kids. Or, if you can't quite fit the Anolon set into your budget, have no reservations about getting this Farberware set. I don't know how long it will last compared to the Anolon, but the Farberware does a really good nonstick job of cooking, especially omelets in the 10 inch skillet. And after you finish cooking your omelets, you can just rinse the skillet and toss it in the dishwasher, along with the included plastic spatula ... which, by the way, weighs exactly 1.4 ounces.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program இ Fuzzy Wuzzy's Summary:

► Design & Features: ѾѾѾѾѾ Excellent 5-fuzzies rating

փ Positives:

փ Although there are other cookware sets with better heavier-gauge construction, the economy-level budget-minded pricing of this cookware set offers excellent value for the money.

փ The exterior "Champagne" finish looks nice and the glass lids have a nice fit and finish to them.

ჯ Negatives:

ჯ The 10-inch skillet is slightly too shallow for my preference.

ჯ This 12-piece cookware set is really only 9 pieces, if you exclude the 3 very-ordinary plastic cooking utensils that are included.

The first thing that I noticed about this cookware set, long before I even received the product, was its very attractive and competitive price. You can easily pay two or three times this much for another 12-piece nonstick cookware set. Now, having said that, I do believe that the "you get what you pay for" law of pricing economics still applies here. Most of my cookware is high-quality stainless steel, including some with copper bottoms. Stainless steel is the day-to-day workhorse in my kitchen, and I like the versatility of stainless steel in being dishwasher-safe and yet also oven/broiler safe. I also use anodized aluminum. But I only reach for nonstick cookware strictly on an as-needed basis because I try to maximize the longevity of its nonstick surface, whereas some people just have one set of nonstick cookware that they constantly cook everything in.

This cookware set was shipped in a very sturdy box with numerous cardboard inserts that kept everything in a pristine condition. I like the combination of the 1-quart and 2-quart covered saucepans, 5-quart covered dutch oven, 2-3/4-quart covered saute, 10-inch skillet, and the slotted turner, slotted spoon, solid spoon that are also included in the set. The exterior "Champagne" finish looks nice and the glass lids have a nice fit and finish to them.

Unfortunately, the Amazon photos for this product currently do not display everything that you get with the cookware set. The 12 "pieces" that you get are 5 cookware pots/pans, 4 glass lids, and 3 kitchen utensils. While I would have gladly traded the three kitchen utensils for two more pots or pans and one lid, this is a fairly common practice for cookware sets to include cooking utensils that are part of the "piece" count. Perhaps if Farberware included more pots/pans instead of the three cooking utensils, they would have had to increase the total price more. But this is one of my two gripes with this cookware set: I would gladly pay more to trade the three cooking utensils for a 3-quart covered saucepan and a 12-inch skillet (only a 10-inch skillet is included). The second of my two gripes with this cookware set is that the 10-inch skillet is slightly too shallow for my preference. Some 10-inch skillets are deeper than this one, and I prefer a slightly deeper skillet; your own preference may differ from mine.

The "Teflon Plus" coating on this cookware performed very admirably. I was able to cook a variety of egg and cheese dishes without the use of any cooking spray or oil and nothing ever stuck to the surface. Clean-up of both the interior and exterior surfaces was easy too; I did not even need to use the scrubber side of the kitchen sponge to wipe the nonstick surface. At most, for the stubborn food that was stuck on, I just let the cookware soak in a tub of warm soapy water for a short period before sponging the residues off.

Even though the box for this cookware advertises that its "heavy gauge construction distributes heat evenly throughout the pan and reduces hot spots", this cookware really uses a light-gauge metal. The cookware heats up quickly enough and it is totally sufficient for various egg dishes. The good news is that you can easily lift this light-in-weight cookware when it is all loaded with food. The bad news is that, contrary to the advertisement on the box, you will get more uneven heat distribution compared to a thicker heavier cookware set. If you turn up your stove burner to "High" under a thin pot like this, you will get hot-spots because the rate of heat coming into the cookware is greater than the rate at which the cookware can dissipate the heat across its surface, and thicker cookware allows more cross-sectional area for heat dissipation, resulting in a much more even temperature in all areas of a pot. But you can work with the thinner gauge construction of this cookware by frequently stirring more to manually distribute the heat better.

Some nonstick cookware *claim* to be oven-safe. I think that using nonstick cookware in an oven to 300 or 350 degrees may be okay (and this cookware is supposedly safe to 350 degrees), but some brands of nonstick cookware even claim to be oven-safe out to 450 or 500 degrees. Frankly, I do not want to risk the degradation of these highly synthetic PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) compounds like the Teflon that is used in this nonstick cookware set because the fumes from overheated PTFE are not healthy to breathe in. So I only use nonstick cookware when I *really* need its nonstick advantage (cooking eggs is a classic example), and I throw away nonstick cookware the moment that the surface coating starts to scratch or flake off, which it always does eventually regardless of how carefully I try to not scratch the surface. So I like to invest in high-quality stainless steel cookware, but I do not care to spend a lot for a top-of-the-line nonstick set when I know that I will eventually be throwing some of them away. And this is why I think this economically-priced is great for my purposes. If this cookware set was priced at over $100, I would rate this 4 stars, but when I also take into account its very competitive pricing, I rate this 5 stars.

Some pros and cons of this nonstick cookware set also apply to ALL nonstick cookware, regardless of price. For example, if your cooking requires prolonged high heat, do not use nonstick cookware because the surface coatings cannot withstand that. All nonstick cookware, and not just this set, is best suited for low to medium heat only. Nonstick cookware is also not good for searing and browning. The best searing/browning is done in cast iron, followed by stainless steel, followed by aluminum, and lightweight nonstick cookware like this ranks last for effectively browning and searing.

This cookware set includes a "Important Safety, Use, & Care Information" pamphlet that repeatedly emphasizes to never let cookware (any kind of cookware really) boil dry. If you have birds as pets, the safety pamphlet also warns that the PTFE/Teflon coating on nonstick cookware can emit fumes that can kill birds because the birds' respiratory systems cannot handle the fumes. This also applies to the overheating of cooking sprays, oils, fats, margarine, and butter, which can be toxic to birds. While overheating or boiling dry any kind of cookware is never a good idea, the health hazards, both for birds and humans, are more acute when using PTFE/Teflon-coated nonstick cookware. Even though PTFE/Teflon fumes can kill birds but does not kill humans, this still does not provide me with totally reassuring confidence to convince me that I can use nonstick cookware to cook all of my everyday meals. This is another reason why I use nonstick cookware only when I really need its nonstick ability. I emphasize this again because it is important: never overheat nonstick cookware. Overheating Teflon can cause the release of fumes that can cause flu-like symptoms in humans, a syndrome that is called "polymer fume fever". Additionally, the journal "Environmental Health Perspectives" published a study conducted by researchers from Yale University and Harvard Medical School where they found that the perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) used in Teflon are "associated with higher prevalence of osteoarthritis, particularly in women, a group that is disproportionately impacted by this chronic disease". Their analysis showed that women who had the most exposure to PFOA had twice the odds of developing arthritis compared to women with the lowest exposures; PFOS exposure was also associated with arthritis in women, but not as significantly as PFOA.

௫ Fuzzy Wuzzy's Conclusion:

Overall, I like this cookware set. I almost rated this 4 stars instead of 5, but when I also take into account its economy-level budget-minded pricing, I became less demanding of it; it is not fair to rate this cookware's performance compared to $300 cookware. But, then again, I also sometimes do not need to use nonstick cookware for one or two weeks. If your cooking really requires daily use of nonstick cookware, then you should look for a better cookware set with a heavier gauge mass than this one. This cookware set would make an ideal gift for a college student or a recent college graduate, or if, like me, you do not need to use nonstick cookware for every meal. Just be sure to remind yourself or the person to whom you are giving this to be careful not to scratch the nonstick surface and throw away a nonstick cookware the moment that its nonstick coating starts to scratch or flake off.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This set of pots and pans (with utensils) is ok for a starter set Someone who just got their own place, just starting out cooking on their own, college students, not sure how they will take care of them, etc. I would not recommend it for someone who is cooking full meals daily for their family. I don't feel this set offers the quality/durability to stand up to daily use. It reminds me of the cheap sets you can get for about 40 bucks or so.

I do like the color. It is like a pale beige color. It's different, neutral, will match any decor.

The utensils are your basic plastic/nylon(?) utensils. Cheap, but get the job done without harming the nonstick surface.

I like that the skillet is a bit deeper and doesn't have the slanted sides. The cook area is as wide as the brim of the sides, so grease, food, etc is less likely to splatter or slosh out.

The fry pan was a bit too shallow for my liking and seemed to have a small cook area in general. I found it hard to cook off 1 lb of hamburger in it without making a mess meat spilling over when trying to move it around for even cooking, etc. Alot of grease splatters.

The set is very lightweight, which some people may like for certain reasons, but I myself like a bit more heft to my pots and pans. These slide around way too easily on the burner while you're trying to stir or move around whatever it is you're cooking in them. It gets to be annoying. They have a "cheap" feel to them since they are so lightweight/thin. Handles are basic plastic. Lids are ok, with same plastic knobs.

I found the bottoms discolored easily even though not used on high heat. I have a gas stove/oven in case this makes any difference.

This is an ok set if you are on a budget, however there are other sets in the same price range that are more durable and have a better heft to them. For that reason, this is not a set that I would specifically recommend to anyone. I didn't find anything about them to be all that impressive. The non stick surface has me wondering how long it will last, as it is not your typical black coated surface. With as thin as the pans are, it makes me think the coating will "cook" off or bubble off etc. You can tell it is not a thick coating. It almost seems like a light layer of (powdercoating) paint.

If you like Farberware products and/or are looking for a great set under 100 dollars, I'd recommend this set http://www.amazon.com/Farberware-21391-Performance-Dishwasher-Nonstick/dp/B005DXPYNM It feels better in your hand, it is not as lightweight, the pots and pans aren't thin, they have that bit of heft/solid build feel, and the non stick surface is great. You can tell it's really coated.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program These pots, you get what you pay for. The price is low and the pots reflect that, but they are not bad for the price. The saucepans are VERY small, and I cannot see cooking for more than 2 people in them, and the frying pan bottom is so small it might cook one grilled cheese or 2 eggs, and it is also a very shallow pan. So, if you want something for a larger family, I suggest looking at other sets. That being said, these are of average quality, and they performed well. The metal is on the thin side (the plus side to this is that water boiled very quickly!,) and the handles are not substantial enough to feel "right" in my hand. The handles are flimsy and short. The tops fit well, but because of how the handles on the tops are shaped, you need to use a pot holder to remove them or else you might touch the glass with the side of your hand or fingers and will get burned. The handle on the stock pot cover was also loose and had to be tightened back down. A loop design on the cover handles would have made more sense. A big plus...the non-stick is truly non-stick! I cooked scrambled eggs, with cheese, and used no cooking spray or oil. Not one bit stuck to the bottom! I was highly impressed. The outside is also non-stick, which is a plus for cleanup. The rim of the pots is not non-stick, however, and it took some scrubbing to get the melted cheese off. The champagne color is a beige/gray, which I find different and pleasing. The plastic cooking utensils that come with it are low quality, but adequate for having something to start out with. These are also dishwasher safe, which most non-stick pots are not (at least not better quality ones) and they are oven safe to 350, which might be good for keeping something warm, but at least for me, I cook most things at a temp over 350 so I don't see a big use for the oven safe feature. I think this set would be great for a single person or a college dorm, but not something I would choose for my family kitchen.

They seem very sturdy; probably not as sturdy as other sets costing a lot more, but if you don't intend to use them every day, this set should last quite a while. I had two other sets (one of them over 30 years old) that are much more lightweight than these items, so this is definitely a step up. I also like that both of the lids supplied for the Dutch oven and the large skillet also fit the smaller (shallower) fry pan. I'll never use all three of those at one time, or need all three of them covered, so two lids for three large pieces is fine. Excellent value for what you get.

This is our first pot rack, and I must say that this one is well made. Comes with four chains and 4 mounting hooks so you can hang it as shown with 2 chains on one hook or with each chain on its own hook. I screwed all four into my ceiling so that the rack would maintain balance better when taking items off of it. Took less than an hour to install with a cordless drill and stud finder. It is made in China but is very sturdy and could not imagine ever needing anything more. We have over a hundred pound on this thing right now and it holds up fine.

Looks great on amazon, but when you open the box its a different story. First in comparison to the black picture, you will notice the Fo antique paint job which is really light brown paint spread across the metal so thick you can see the brush marks. This "paint job" is continued across the chains, hooks, and bolts. It is so tacky I would expect to see this sold at a craft fair for 25$. Next you will notice that the hooks do not fit into the center, only along the outside edges leaving a hole in the center while hanging pots. Lastly the welds are pretty rustic with the center hoops disjointedly not meeting on the other side. They mostly connect only with the weld. I fool heartedly tried to salvage the pot rack by sanding down the brown paint and repainting it. After about 6 hours worth of work, purchasing new chains, and new hooks to fit in the center the pot rack looks OK. I wish I had sent this back. This is very cheap craftsmanship for 100$.

I'm of two minds on this pot rack. On the one hand, you can spend as much ason a pot rack, and this unit costs only For the price, I suppose this isn't such a bad unit. On the other hand, you get what you pay for. Construction quality is generally poor, the welds are messy and the finish is awful. The threads on the ceiling hooks are the worst I've ever seen. Naturally any time you put a thread this large into solid wood, you have to appropriately pre-drill the holes. Even having done that, the threads were so dull and rounded I couldn't get them to bite. I could have possibly enlarged the holes somewhat, but, in my opinion, that wouldn't have left enough wood to adequately grip the threads (a full load of pots adds up to a lot of weight to support!) In the end, I threw the ceiling hooks away and replaced them with some heavy eye bolts with good quality wood screw threads. The pot hooks are adequate, but they sometimes require a bit of forcing to get them installed, and the finish on them is fragile. In the final analysis, the unit does what I need it to do, which is to free up cupboard space and get my pans where I can easily reach them. For that, I'm happy. However, if I had it to do again, I'd spend the extra money to get a better built, better finished product. I wouldn't recommend this pot rack to anyone.

This rack is precisely the same one I saw on far more expensive websites. We've hung it and I'm delighted with it. One caveat: the hooks have on them a rounded tip that's excellent for preventing items from slipping off too easily, but the knob also prevents me from using them to hang pots whose handles have narrower openings. For those I have to use hooks of my own.

This is a large pot rack that will probably hold more weight than your ceiling can support. Make sure you get the screws solidly into the joists.

The hooks have large balls at the end. Not all pot handles will fit over these (most of mine did) so for some pots you will have to get other hooks or put them in the basket. No complaint here; we have everything from old cast iron to All-Clad and there is not a good way to make hooks that will hold everything.

We use the reversible grill more than I ever imagined we would. No issue with the seasoning like some people said. Works great.

The products work very well, especially for a smaller apartment/cooking area. My only wish is that the griddle side of the grill did not have the recesses around the edge. When I cook eggs and do not get them exactly centered on the griddle, the egg rolls into the edges and gets stuck. Other than that, good product.

Honest reviews on Emeril by All-Clad EC8617063 Cast Iron 6-Quart Dutch Oven

I used this product to make a pot of soup and was very excited about cooking with cast-iron. After I completed the soup I started to clean the pot and lid. I found rust on the inside of the lid and rust along the sides when moisture did not connect with the cast iron. If it was not so expensive to send back because of it's weight, I would have already done so..unfortunately I am now stuck with it.

The cups look great and are holding up nicely. They only hold one shot each but are great for a single shot or a one shot con panna. If looking to make latte's or cappuccinos be sure to get the larger size. Seem durable and Le Creuset is a great brand, but I'm sure there are cheaper cups that are also nice for those who are on a tight budget.

This is an item that could easily be on that american sitcom Home ImprovementIt definitely is built with a guy in mind (sorry ladies! lol) its very VERY sturdy and is NOT a wire/steel mesh like so many of the others that just end up rusting or with tiny bits of food or shredded cleaning cloth inside of the meshTHIS IS PURE JOY to use on any pan or pot, I just enjoy frying stuff to see how great this stops the messy splatter or eruption of oil geysers, good price and great value

I cook a full breakfast for my husband and me every morning before we head off to work. Having gone through countless of those wire splatter guards that seem to tear within days of purchase, I was delighted to find the Calphalon 13-Inch Universal Splatter Guard online. It fits securely on any size pot or pan, is lightweight yet sturdy, and cleans up in a breeze through hand washing or in the dishwasher. I can see this lasting for years. A very good quality, well-designed product that I'm glad to have.

This Calphalon Splatter Guard is so much better than the splatter screens I had (which I gave away). This one size splatter guard will fit an 8, 10 or 12 inch pan. It is definately a quality item and has some weight to it. If your thinking about a splatter guard for your Calphalon or any other cookware, I would hightly recommend this one.

Honest reviews on Calphalon 13" Splatter Guard

I used to have a trio of mesh splatter guards: small, medium, large. They were not sturdy and they disintegrated within three or four years. Then I saw a single-piece stainless steel splatter guard at Williams-Sonoma, but it cost something like $55 for one size. Three different sizes would have cost me close to $150! No thank you.

Finally, I found this splatter guard. It's one, not three: so no juggling in the cabinet for the right size. It's not mesh: so no disintegrating or bending out of shape. And it costs closer to $20 than $150. Hooray!

I've tried this on four different Calphalon pans, and it has worked on each. No effort required, just settle the guard onto the pan and the rim kind of settles into place depending on the size of the pan.

Upon receiving the product, my one concern was whether the food would steam rather than fry, because the perforations in this product seem a bit small. But the product information that came with this splatter guard assured me that food would not steam. And, it doesn't.

Recommended!

I thought that I would really like this product, and I really wanted to. It is more solid than the screens (I always felt like those were fragile). However, the major issue with this product is that the holes are too large. Grease spatter will still make it through so that you have to wipe all around the stove top, just like you would have to do without using the product.

I wish I had kept the originally packaging so that I could return it but c'est la vie. I will be ordering a classic screen splatter guard to replace this one.
