Wow! This cookware is absolutely beautiful and a joy to cook with. The quality is top notch, not thin or flimsy in any way. I wasn't sure about the cooking without at least a coating of nonstick cooking spray but cooked a 3" steak as my test run. It turned out perfect to my amazement!

This was my first experience with ceramic coated cookware. I was concerned that I stained them (I know that's impossible) when I made my homemade spaghetti sauce but cleanup was effortless. I can't say enough good things about this set of cookware. In fact, I was so WOWed, I bought the red set for my mother.

Didn't work for what I was gonna use it for (I was trying to make a stencil but I suck at cutting things cleanly with an xacto knife); otherwise the product was great, I can use it to wrap stuff in the freezer!

I loved my green set so much and was so impressed with the quality and how pretty they are, I logged on after using them for the first time and bought these for my mother (before they sold out!).

Mom can't say enough good things about the quality of this cookware. She called me on the day she got them and twice in 2 days since cooking with them. She and I agree that the ceramic coating heats up quicker and more evenly than the teflon non coating and her pot roast in the Dutch oven was done to perfection. She rushed out and bought all new cooking utensils just to make sure there was no chance of scratching these. Mom and I agree: Top notch set of cookware!

My wife and I just " LOVE " the non-stick surface!! We only wish the handles were metal so we could use the pans in the oven as well. A VERY HAPPY COUPLE.

I have gone thru 3 Black and Decker steamers. I love that you can set a timer on a steamer and walk away. But I use them so much they do not last! I decided to go with Universal steamer made by Circulon, because all my pots are Circulon, so this is a good match. Plus it's stainless steel, as I'm trying to get away from plastic!

I cannot just walk away and the timer go off, so I set the timer on my stove to go off, for the amount of time I need it to steam. This has been working for me just fine! Perfect size for cooking for two!

This is exactly what I was looking for in a steamer: well made, doesn't stain or tarnish, holds the steam in well and yet easy to remove.

I steamed beets, kale, and small lobster tails with this steamer and it worked wonderfully for all three. It's stainless steel and feels very well made no loose handles, no easily bent, and didn't stain with the beets.

Tatung Induction Cooker with Stainless Steel Pot - 1500 Watts(BLACK) Reviews

Tatung Induction Cooker with Stainless Steel Pot - 1500 Watts(BLACK)

This cooktop is a great way to try induction cooking. It is very fast. The heat control is precise and responsive like gas; maybe better. The pan is a nice bonus. Warning, it may not work with all of your pans, especially if they are all aluminum or copper-clad stainless.

It's portable and lightweight. It will be excellent for home canning. It will also provide an additional side burner for holiday meals.

The fan makes a little noise, like a small microwave. Some pans make a slight whirring sound as current is induced through them. I think this is cool but some may find the sound disconcerting. Both of these attributes are typical of these units.

I'm building some ECO cottages with kitchenettes; therefore, my interest exceeds even that of the typical homeowner. Induction cooking is the most efficient way to cook, so with "eco" cottages, I love the technology and fully intend to use it.

Built-in nduction cooktops cost a mint, so I wanted to try this, plus if you're doing something in the kitchen that doesn't require its use, you can put it aside in the corner of the countertop or even store it in the cupboard. Alternately, you can pull the spare from the cabinet and have two running, no problem.

These are very common in Europe but just catching on here. In 10 years, I predict these will dominate U.S. cooking. Why? Simple, the direct control of gas with the ease of care associated with a smooth electric cooktop. Induction is actually superior in easy care because the cooking surface doesn't get hot, so the overflow from your pot will not create a baked-on mess on the cooktop surface.

I've been testing the Tatung TICT-1500W (which I very happy with--responsive and heats well--but the fan noise is a little more than I'd like), so I'll grab one of the Rosewills from NewEgg and definitely report back.

Works with my basic stainless steel pots I bought from Macy's years back. It's a bit noisy there's high pitch sound at low heat settings. Quiet down at higher settings though. It heats things up very fast, and very easy to clean afterward.

Honest reviews on Tatung Induction Cooker with Stainless Steel Pot - 1500 Watts(BLACK)

Just got this tatung cooker to try out induction cooking for the first time. So far I'd say I'm happy but there will be a learning curve to master...

Pros:

Does indeed start heating very quickly

Responsive to power level changes water will start/stop boiling within seconds of a change

Seems to work with my existing pans (including the T-Fal stainless steel with copper in their bases I have an old set which looks a bit different from what you can currently buy)

Large surface copes with my biggest pots

Cons:

Noise this is probably typical for most of these devices but there is a high pitch whine while the pan is on the cooker, what's a little more disconcerting are the lower power levels where there is a click-click-click as the coil turns on and off

Although per above the power control is responsive, the lowest two power levels turn the coil on and off every few seconds (like a microwave on low power) rather than reduce the power going to the coil this means getting a precise simmer is a little tricky

Supplied pan is ok, though not very thick metal

In summary, it seems fine for high heat applications (like boiling) but will need some getting used to for lighter cooking.

My husband bought this cooker over two years ago, I believe I do have more experience to say something about this cooker. Actually we love it, I designed to use it in backyard cooking because no smoke and not afraid of wind blowing all the flames, and it has been true all the time. My mom use it cooking outside a lot and doing some yardwork in the same time. it is very durable, reliable, we leave it at outside all year around, it still works on matter rain, hot or cold weather. it has controller for power adjustment.

Sometime we carry it to camping side as long as it has electricity.

The only drawback of this cooker is you do need a steel pot to react with the induction, alumina or others does not work. maybe most of non-sticker pot are not made from steel, just be ware of that. I did buy one non-stick pot made from steel especially for this cooker.

hopeful can do some help.

I love it, it gives a quick and accurate read. The back light is nice and bright and comes in handy when i BBQ at night.Only negative is that it is bulky and will not fit in the side pocket of my chef's jacket, so i cannot use it at work. The probe is long and slim and leaves a small puncture hole which is another positive. Buy it for home use.

We have had it a little over six months and have used it perhaps once or twice a week successfully. It now shows the three L's. The instructions say that the temperature is out of range when you see that. In my case it shows the L's when I open it and shows the temperature when I close it making it unusable. I wrote to Taylor and got no response...so much for customer service. I am sending it to Taylor under the one year warranty and will update this when I get a result, good or bad.

As promised here is the update:

First: I changed my rating to a five star because of the wonderful return experience I had with Taylor. Sometimes things just break, the sign of a great company is how they deal with it. Taylor immediately shipped me out a new thermometer and the turn around time was great...Hooray for them. They have a customer with me. You can depend on them to stand behind their products.

Just tried this on a weekend of BarBQing, and it performed accurately. Saved having to reheat and cook some more if too rare, and avoid getting things over done. Couldn't be happier.

Honest reviews on Taylor Connoisseur Digital Folding Probe Thermometer

As a young man, I was trying to perfect my grilling ways and this thermometer seemed like it has it all, and it does. The thermometer's temp settings help out a lot to be able to get the perfect level of doneness for everything from steaks to chicken. However, the thermometer's accuracy is not always perfect and takes a few seconds to get to the right temp. In whole, if you are looking for a thermometer that can even teach a novice the difference between rare and medium, then buy.

I bought one of these from Lowe's this past summer, to go in the RV while camping. It works so well, that I found myself "borrowing" it from the RV when grilling at home. To make sure I don't forget to return it before our next trip, I decided to buy a second one for the house. I especially like the bright LED indicators that tells me when the meat is rare-medium-well, in addition to the digital temp readout. Lowe's doesn't stock these right now since it's winter time, so I was happy to find one here on Amazon.

Le Creuset Stoneware 26-Ounce Cassoulet Bowl, Cherry
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

I purchased this cassoulet bowl in cherry and flame just to see how they would be for soup bowls. I think these are perfect for dinners where soup is the meal (chili, chicken and dumpling, etc.) They are a very nice size, for a generous portion. We don't fill them to the top, but about 2/3rds full, and it's a meal. I use the salad plate in the same color (or swap them, as all the colors in Le Creuset are compatible) as the liner for the bowls and it makes an attractive setting on the table. They wash very well in the dishwasher and no problems putting them in the microwave. I plan on getting at least four more as I can afford it. (These are not cheap!) The flame bowl came with a large chip, but it was replaced promptly. So far, no marks left by silverware on the inside of the bowl. Very pleased!

These pots and pans are excellent quality and weight. They are better than the photo. They are beautiful. Please note, however, that it is not mentioned, but these are are "waterless" cookware and compare to the famous "Salad Master" cooking sets that are sold in home demos for $3000. These are very healthy to cook in...great recipes and info online but be sure this is what you're looking for. I don't know why they don't mention it in the title and descriptions. I took a chance on this item, hoping it would work with my Anolon cookware... it does! The various graduated rings fit both my 4QT stockpot (approx 8" diam) and my 3QT saucepan (approx 7" diam). As an added bonus, the glass lid from my 4QT pot fit the steamer. Great for steaming jumbo artichokes and just about anything else. Can now throw away that cheap folding basket steamer that always tipped over and dumped the food into the water.

I bought this steamer in hopes that it would fit my 9" pot. It fits as if it came with the pot. It also gave me a lid for this pot which was lost in one of the different location moves. Tired of waiting for your coffee to brew? this system kicks butt! it will brew a pot in @2 minutes,of HOT delicious coffee. don't think, buy it, it blows all other makers away, no cheap garbage here.

I ordered this Bunn coffee maker for at home even though it is a commercial grade unit because I got tired of all the other ones I've had breaking within a few months. Everything on this coffee maker is quality, even copper plumbing. You never need another one ever again, every part is able to be repaired or replaced and cleaning it is super easy. I would buy one again even though I will probably never need another one.

Best Deals for BUNN 33200.0015 VPR-2GD 12-Cup Pourover Commercial Coffee Brewer

We purchased this unit for our church, as we needed to quickly make coffee for events and meetings. As is usual for commercial Bunn coffee makers, this makes a pot of coffee in about 3 minutes. This one does not have plumbed water lines, so you must fill the receptacle from the top. CAUTION: Make sure you have a carafe under the drip housing because there is no ON switch. So as soon as you pour in the water, the coffee starts making immediately. The lighted switches you see only control the burners. Also, there is not automatic OFF feature either. You must manually turn off the burners or unplug the unit. I do recommend buying a curved pot cleaning brush to clean the carafes. Someone forgot to turn off one of the burners one day and by that evening we had a burnt mess. If we had not ordered the special brush, cleaning the burned on mess would have been very difficult. You may also want to consider keeping a pitcher nearby for pouring in water, so you don't have to tie up your carafes. Overall, it works great and makes a consistently good cup of coffee.

I'm just a guy who likes to cook. The Berndes teflon sauce pans that I've been using for years were starting to deteriorate, and I knew I wanted to replace them with a set of stainless steel clad cookware. As much as my ego wanted All Clad or Demeyere, I just couldn't justify the cost. After a lot of research and store trips, I decided on the Calphalon Tri-Ply set. Deciding to make one last attempt to kill any buyer's remorse, I made one more trip to Bed Bath and Beyond just to be sure. That's when I spotted the Emerilware Pro-Clad set (this is the fully-clad line, not the original line with the heavy disk welded to the bottom). I should say I'm not really a fan of Emeril -he's just another TV personality to me. I rarely watch his shows, and I've never eaten in his restaurants. If anything, I'm the kind of person who would avoid celebrity endorsed products.

Enough with the caveats. I wasn't crazy about the handles on the Calphalon set. Too skinny and short for my hands. When I grabbed the Emerilware sauce pan, it was instantly very comfortable in my hand. The handle is much beefier than pretty much any other SS cookware I picked up. Performance-wise, the handles stay cool on the stovetop (I have a glasstop). Even the loop handles on the stockpot were cool enough to pick up and drain a pot of spaghetti. Love the handles. The pieces have a slight heft to them without being unwieldy. I have a couple of old monster fry pans, and these are very easy to manage in comparison. Good weight and balance. Also, liquids pour nicely off the rolled lip.

I've had no problem adjusting to SS after using teflon for a lot of years. I use olive oil or canola oil, and have had no problem with food sticking or burning. I love the saute pan for searing steaks, chicken, and pork chops, then throwing it into the hot oven to finish. Back on the stovetop (using a pot holder, duh), a little bit of chicken broth or wine deglazes the pan and makes a quick an easy sauce. I find that I use all of the pieces in the set on a regular basis. The steamer is useful as we prefer to steam our veggies. If you follow the instructions and keep an eye on the heat, these things clean up with absolutely no problem. Any residual discoloration or stubborn bits come right off with Barkeepers Friend.

I deducted one star for the following small gripes: I would have preferred SS lids instead of glass, even though I haven't run into any drawbacks with the glass. Next, the Pro-Clad line is somewhat limited compared to other brands. I picked up the largest (3 qt) saucepan to round out the set -I would have preferred a 4 qt with an extra loop handle, but it' not offered. I'm hoping the manufacturer adds other choices to the line over time. It would be nice to have a matching saucier or wok, for instance. Lastly, I've noticed that the frying pan is warped very slightly, maybe 1/16", so that it rocks a little bit on the glasstop. I didn't notice if it came out of the box this way, or warped slightly from the heat of the stove. It doesn't seem to affect the performance anyway. All of the other pieces are perfectly flat on the bottom. I inspected all of the pieces for burrs, and found them all to be perfectly smooth.

In summary, my wife and I are really pleased with our purchase of the Emerilware Pro-Clad set. It works great and looks great. We expect them to give us many years of great food.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I was reluctant to get a stainless set because of the reviews of those who found it easy to stain their pans -a fear reinforced by the pamphlet that came with the set warning of possible pitting from salt and discoloration from too high heat! And, sure enough, on about the third or fourth use, my wife cooked up some salty canned soup and one of the sauce pans looked like an oil slick with blue and pink hues that would not wash off. So, I hit the Internet and learned about Barkeeper's Friend (which I ordered) and vinegar. While I was waiting for the BarKeeper's Friend, I put some white vinegar in the sauce pan with some water. Almost instantly, the pan -which seemed cosmetically damaged beyond repair -was looking as good as new. I did heat the water, but I believe the stains were gone as soon as I added the vinegar to the pans. The pamphlet writer evidently didn't know the vinegar trick!!

Cook with less heat and wait until the water is hot before adding salt -the combination will ensure that the pans continue to look new after repeated use. Lower heat and the use of the covers (there's a reason for having them -and you won't even get a false scare.

Barkeeper's Friend -a less abrasive version of a cleansing powder -works well to remove minor stains from both the inside and the outside of the pans with no scrubbing required beyond that you can do with a sponge.

But, it's not about the pan's looks -even though it was great to find that the looks can readily be maintained. It's about the even heating. There are no hot spots. The reason you're paying extra for these pans is that their heat distribution is simply excellent, something you may never have experienced with cheaper sets. If you haven't experienced cooking with even heat, you don't miss it. But, once you do, you'll never want to go back.

I'm happy with the set and delighted that the complaints encountered about stainless steel picking up stains are misguided. Yes, with too high heat, with salt being added to cold water, or with some canned soups, the pans may appear damaged and will not respond to just anything. But, the vinegar trick is totally effective with discolored pans and the Bartender's Helper dispatches little black marks that may show up with ease.

Finally, if food gets burnt on to the pan, throw some water into the pan and bring it to a boil. The food can be easily scraped loose with a plastic spatula and Barkeeper's Friend will dispatch dispatch any relatively stubborn spots.

With reasonable care, the good looks of the pans can be retained indefinitely. And, should there be some staining that I haven't encountered, the pans will continue to do their jobs well anyway. It's stainless steel. Nothing will leach from the pans into your system. Teflon isn't necessary. Warm the pans before adding food, and the food doesn't stick with a little cooking spray or oil to help things along.

Best Deals for Emeril by All-Clad E914SC64 PRO-CLAD Tri-Ply Stainless Steel

I'm not one to take much time with giving reviews (very busy!), however, without the reviews of others who have gone before I would have had a much tougher time making the very big decision on what cookware to buy for my new induction stove. I researched for two weeks! So for those who are researching, here's my two cents: If you don't already know, only certain cookware will work on an induction cooktop (magnetic stainless steel, cast iron, enameled steel if a magnet sticks, it'll work, but it should stick firmly for best results). I Purchased an entire set of Emeril Pro-Clad Tri-Ply stainless cookware and LOVE IT! (I did purchase one piece of Emeril's clad-bottom cookware to test first, and it didn't perform as well as the Pro-Clad Tri-Ply. I think that line might be more suited for gas or electric burners?). This cookware is the result of a collaboration between All-Clad & Emeril, and for the price it is an incredible value. Heats evenly, handles don't get hot, they clean up easily (thanks to all you folks who recommended Barkeepers friend it really works)and the glass lids allow viewing of the contents while cooking. I wasn't really a fan of the glass lids, but I'm liking them a lot now. I'm not a professional chef, but I can see that the cookware heats very evenly and like the cooking results I've achieved so far. In addition, it is substantial and heavy enough to work on induction without being too heavy to lift. Seems very well made (there is not much difference in weight or looks between this and the All-Clad cookware I looked at) and it looks as though I made the right decision! The experience of this home cook is that this product is superb!

Honest reviews on Emeril by All-Clad E914SC64 PRO-CLAD Tri-Ply Stainless Steel

If you want All-Clad quality for a reduced price, this is the set to buy. If you buy this set, its also a fantastic opportunity to get Amazon Prime essentially for FREE. When I bought this a month ago, you got a free 12" pro-clad skillet and 10" cast iron grill pan if you bought $300 or more in emerilware. I did, and the shipping for all pieces came to $65 dollars. I looked at amazon prime, and I bought a year's subscription for $70 dollars, and got 2nd day shipping of the pans for free. :)

As for the pans themselves... This are stainless steel tri-ply pans. All-Clad makes them for emeril, and they bear the quality of all-clad pans. Its a terrific value, even without the freebies above. You're not going to find any major differences when it comes to the shortcomings of stainless steel when comparing to other brands, more expensive or not. All stainless steel pans will rainbow with extreme heat, and will watermark, and tarnish, and will be harder to get baked on bits Off compared to nonstick. The trick is knowing the cleaning tools to make like easier. In the previous reviews, the two essential products were covered. Barkeeper's friend: cookware version, and distilled white vinegar. I definately recomend the cookware version of barkeeper's friend over the standard, as it does not contain abrasives that will scratch your pans. Since I started cleaning my stainless steel with BKF, I have no issues with tarnishing. my pans stay looking new. Its all about having the right tools for the job.

I also will never dishwash a pot or pan, nonstick or not. They deserve handwashing treatment for prolonged life. Never let them soak more than a few minutes to get off grease. a good way to loose your pan to the elements is let it set submerged in water covered in grime.

I love the ability to cook on the stovetop, then switch to oven. Stainless steel is meant to trap all those bits of meat on the bottom for the purpose of deglazing to make sauces or gravies. lets see a traditional non-grooved nonstick pan do that. I still use nonstick, but for certain tasks. stainless steel just doesn't do eggs right. :) and if you say it does, you're most likely deep frying them from the grease you need to use to keep them from sticking, don't own a nonstick pan, or can't admit stainless steel isn't good for all jobs. :) I keep my old trusty 10" nonstick just for sunday mornin' Eggs. :)

I got these for around $50 and I think it's a great deal, since most other cookware sets are around 100 dollars. They also came with some utensils and 4 glass bowls. I don't love the utensils because they're not in the best condition and it's too bendy for me.... I haven't used the glass bowls yet but they're not the fresh seal kind of lids so for now I'm sticking with Rubbermaid containers. But overall the pots and pans work wonderfully. Easy to use and easy to clean!

Honest reviews on Basic Essentials 17 Piece Aluminum Cookware Sets

This was purchased as a present for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. Great item.

Appearance:

Items look exactly like you see in picture. Color does not fade or scratch easily.

Functionality:

These items are used every day 2-3 times. They are in perfect condition after a month of every day use and wash. No scratches, dents, or broken pieces. I absolutely love this set and I am happy it was so cheap. The utensils are not flimsy. Yes, they bend, but what doesn't if you provide enough force? They do not bend easily, but if you plan on using one as a javelin to fling yourself over a pole, it's probably going to break. But be real, what 100lb steak are you going to be cooking?

Overall:

BEST pots / pans / tools ever purchased from anywhere and I recommend them to anyone looking for a cheap but legitimate cooking set.

5/5

I bought this cookware set for my g/f, it is a basic cookware set with a few extras. The utensils are not going to last long as they are thin plastic. i have not used the glass bowls yet but they seem like they will do the job. The pots and pans are on the small size, so if you are regularly cooking for a family of 4 or more I would not recommend. Overall, good bang for the buck, but if you cook often and for more than 3 people I would get something else.

After using these for about 6 months they completely fell apart at the seams. Had to throw them out. Great Idea but not worth the money I paid for them.

I had planned to make something like this myself, but found these online and decided it would likely be cheaper to buy them instead. And I'm sure I made the right decision. These are so elegantly simple -they're perfect for almost all sizes and shapes, just short of a stock pot. We use them for woks, 6 inch frying pans, and pots ranging from 2 7 quarts... and cheaper than buying the materials myself. They seem durable to boot, but I have only had them a few weeks. Highly recommended!

They didn't last well. The seams pulled apart and curled up. I got some from Pamperd Chef for my mother and after 5 years are still in great shape.

it was nothing like the picture...it was pink foam cutouts . What I ordered was as pictured, doubled the order and gave them to my daughter for Christmas. i was horrified when she opened them and saw they were not the same as pictured !

I gave these 4 stars rather than 5 because of the white dots. Perhaps they make the protectors prettier, but they are painted on and have a tendency to stick to the pan when I pick it up. They do what they are supposed to do, protect the pans, and I also use them between glass bowls.
