I have had the 10 piece set for a little over a month now, and I can honestly say I love it! And let me tell you, I cook ALL the time 7 days a week, and at least 2-3 meals a day. So figure I have used these pots/pans at least 60 times by now. I have cooked everything from rice to steaks to vegetables, soups, pastas, sauces, and even things as delicate as eggs! The bottom heats very evenly, and quickly, and the handles DO NOT get hot, which was very surprising for me. Before I purchased, I was willing to accept the fact that I was more than likely going to have to deal with hot handles, as is the case with most stainless steel cookware, but with these I was pleasantly surprised. Even after being on the stove over high heat for a long period of time, the handles are still cool! But that is not to be confused with the handles on the lids I find that the handles on the lids may become very warm after prolonged exposure to heat, but that it is generally to be expected if lid handles are not rubber coated, but that doesn't bother me in the least.

To me, the weight of each individual piece of cookware is just perfect heavy enough to feel sturdy and durable, but light enough for me to comfortably lift and move them with one hand while cooking (assuming I don't have something heavy in them). That is something that was very important when considering cookware. I know a lot of people say "the heavier, the better, because that means it is better quality"...but seriously, I don't want to have to use 2 hands and develop forearms like Popeye just to lift a pan from one burner to another. Yeah, I need something durable and practical, and this set is it for me.

To the person saying that the lids do not fit correctly, I have had no problems with rice(or steaming vegetables and such)cooking properly. From my experience, the lids keep the moisture in very well.

And to anyone who has never owned a stainless steel cookware set, and is hesitating because of the "NOT non-stick" factor here is a tip that converted me to stainless steel forever heat the SS pan directly on the burner, and get it nice and hot to the point where if you put a drop or two of water directly in the pan, it will bead up and dance and glide around bottom. When it gets to that point, remove from the heat source, (or you can turn down the heat while it is still on the burner, but it will take longer), and let it cool off slightly enough to where it wouldn't burn butter if you added it. Return back to the burner and turn heat down to medium(more or less, depending upon what you are cooking), add your butter/oil, and whatever you are cooking, and Voila! non-stick! It has to do with getting the pan getting so hot that the heat causes the metal to microscopically expand and fills up the tiny pores in the steel that food would normally sink into while cooking (sticking). But then you have to to turn it down to your actual cooking temp so things do not burn, and while doing so, the steel will remain expanded until the pan is completely cooled. That is advice passed on from experienced, professional chefs.

Anyway, overall, this set is beautiful, functional, and of great quality. Even "if" this set wears out in 10 to 30+ years down the road, I will definitely be buying another one.

There are no words to describe how pleased I am with my new cookware. It is so much fun to cook again now that I have purchased this set!

Prior to my purchase, I did a lot of research on cookware to make the best choice for my cooking needs and my budget. I definitely made the right choice by purchasing this set.

So far, the performance of this cookware has been outstanding. Heating and boiling are much quicker than with my previous non-stick set (Calphalon), and the cooking is much more even.

My favorite part about this set is that there are pour spouts on some of the pans, and measurement markings inside of them as well. A couple of the lids have strainers, so if you are cooking something that needs to be drained (like pasta or vegetables), it's a one-pot job.

Even though this cookware claims to be oven-safe up to 550 degrees (lids to 350), I have not yet put any of the pans in the oven. Obviously, handles will be too hot without using oven mitts if you are going to cook in the oven, but as far as stovetop cooking goes, my experience has been that the handles remain cool to the touch.

I have seen a couple of negative reviews (on other websites) about some of the pots melting. There is a care sheet that comes with the cookware explaining that the pans can melt IF you place an empty pot on a hot stove for an extended period of time. There are plenty of other helpful tips included on the care sheet. In order to get the most out of your Emerilware, I suggest you read the instructions carefully. They are included for a reason.

I am also very pleased that this cookware comes with a lifetime warranty, and All-Clad will repair or replace defective cookware (excluding damage from misuse or abuse).

This cookware is prone to water spots when running them through the dishwasher, but the spots are easily removed by using a soft cloth and some Bar Keeper's Friend. That stuff is incredible. Get some after you purchase your Emerilware.

Get this cookware it's awesome. You won't regret it.

Emerilware Stainless 10-Piece Cookware Set

I have had a set of Emerilware for some time and loved it. I ordered the 10 piece set to get additional pieces to use. The style has changed and the lids do not fit well. The lids are loose fitting and allow too much steam to escape during cooking. The pour spouts with the holes in the lids seems like a good idea, but it allows food to pour out as well as excess liquid. Do not like the new handles and the new style is much lighter weight. Just not happy with the new style cookware.

Honest reviews on Emeril Stainless Steel Cookware Sets

This was my first set of SS cook wear after years of cheap non-stick pots and pans from different manufacturers and I'm sorry I waited so long.

The saucepan, as well as both fry pans, require far less heat to get the job done. The "brown bits" left after cooking fish, chicken or steak allow me to make a flavorful sauce with these dishes I could never do with non-stick.

Clean-up is easy and the pans look brand new after a wash and some Bar Keepers Friend. The bottoms of the pans heat evenly and I haven't had any "hot spots" on the cooking surface that would cause problems with my old set.

I've had to experiment a little with the correct heats to keep fish from sticking. Once I learned where I needed to be, sticking no longer was an issue.

The saucepan has a pouring lip and the glass lid has holes in the rim to allow for straining of pasta after cooking which eliminates the need to use (and dirty) a strainer. I've gone from stove top to oven with fish and steak and had terrific results. I've only had one instance where I forgot to use an oven mitt for the handle that was enough to help me remember next time.

Another nice little feature is liquid measurements etched into the inside wall of the saucepans so if your recipe requires a certain amount of liquid, you can just measure with the pot instead of dirtying a measuring cup.

Overall, I have found nothing to complain about and find myself cooking more than ever just to use the set. I wish I had bought them years ago.

I think this set is great for the price!

I switched from a set of Circulon pots and pans that I'd worn out over the last 10 years and decided to give the stainless steel a try. These pots and pans are great. They have weight to them and they hold heat very well. Frankly, I don't turn them up past medium, since they conduct the heat so well.

The glass tops are great. I don't have to take the lid off to check my food.

They're also not that hard to clean with the proper powder cleaner.

As for cooking eggs in the pans, I have successfully with butter to coat the pan and low heat. I'll probably still go with the non-stick fry pan I keep around though, it's a bit easier.

Can you find better pots and pans? Probably, but they'll cost you a lot more. So unless your a pro, or a pro wannabe these will do you good for a long time.

Wow! This cookware is absolutely beautiful and a joy to cook with. The quality is top notch, not thin or flimsy in any way. I wasn't sure about the cooking without at least a coating of nonstick cooking spray but cooked a 3" steak as my test run. It turned out perfect to my amazement!

This was my first experience with ceramic coated cookware. I was concerned that I stained them (I know that's impossible) when I made my homemade spaghetti sauce but cleanup was effortless. I can't say enough good things about this set of cookware. In fact, I was so WOWed, I bought the red set for my mother.

The Nordic Ware Traditional Cookie Sheet, 13.5 X 14, is an excellent choice for those baking in today's better insulated, 30-inch ovens. I purchased this item after finding that my older, large AirBake cookie sheets went completely from front-to-back, if placed so the raised lip could be grabbed, in my new oven. This sheet fits the new oven well, but is only large enough to accommodate 9 cookies. Although imprinted with words indicating NordicWare classifies this as a large-sized baking sheet, the useable surface area is only 13" X 14." Personally, I would classify it as a medium-sized baking sheet.

I particularly like that the Nordic Ware Traditional Cookie Sheet is a nice medium weight. It does not take a weight-lifter to put it into or take it out of the oven. Nevertheless, it is still substantial enough so that it does not warp. Another feature, which is becoming difficult to find in reasonably priced baking pans, is the absence of any type nonstick coating. I use parchment paper on my baking sheets, but still prefer a traditional uncoated surface. Best of all these pans were manufactured in the United States.

If this pan had one drawback, it was that it had rough edges. Although these were not rough enough to scrape or cut the user, I felt this was a downside. This issue was easily solved by having my spouse buff them to a smoother finish. One of the raised lips was "dinged," but since performance was not affected I did not return it to Amazon or deduct from the rating.

I would recommend the Nordic Ware Traditional Cookie Sheet, 13.5" X 14", to anyone needing a quality, medium-sized baking sheet; I purchased two. For those preferring a larger baking sheet and who have an oven which can accomodate it, I recommend the Vollrath 14" X 17" baking sheet. I will be purchasing a second one soon that should round out my purchases of new cookie sheets.

Amazon shipped this with some other items on top of it, leaving it totally unprotected. The aluminum surface arrived with quite a few mars and scratches as a result, which is very disappointing.

After unboxing, I was quite pleased with how flat it was.

Sadly, that didn't last. After one test batch of cookies (11 minutes at 350), I pulled the sheet out and it was visibly quite warped. I set it down to cool and watched, amazed, as it writhed for almost a minute, flexing and snapping back, flexing and snapping back. I had the cookies on parchment paper due to the scratches, and they were actually bouncing around.

It has completely cooled overnight, and is now about 3mm out of plane. One use at a low temperature, and it's permanently warped.

I really wanted a flat aluminum cookie sheet, and took a bit of a leap on this one. It didn't specify the metal thickness anywhere in the product description, although several other reviewers describe it as "heavy." It isn't; I'd guess it is 18 gauge, which is probably the minimum acceptable thickness. For me, it's much too thin if this is the result. I would not recommend this to anyone.

They warp when they get hot.... they seem to "stain" to the outline of whatever is baked on them. Scuff easily. I expected better. :(

Very nice sheet with great quality and made in USA. Used this sheet and one of my older sheets to make some sugar cookies and wow what a difference. Very even bake across the sheet unlike my other pan that had some hot spots and a darker cookie bottom. Whould buy another.

I have owned this pan for about 4 years and it is the most used pan in our kitchen.

It has been used to cook many of the meals it is designed for and others such as risottos. I've discovered it can cook other foods that some say you can't in such a pan. Yes folks, I have cooked a great fillet steak and a tuna steak in this fabulous work horse! Just quietly ;-) it will also do a good stir fry if you are careful.

As a casserole, it is so good, I don't bother using my Le Creuset anymore. In fact, I hardly use the oven to cook stews or casseroles thanks to this pan, it's that good.

Cooking with copper is like driving a car, it responds to changes on the cook stove heat like a car does to the accelerator.

Cleaning up is easy and handling thanks to it's two handles, is a breeze.

If I was forced to use just one pan, this would be my choice.

Highly recommended!

Honest reviews on Waring Pro DHR30 Professional Dehydrator

I bought this dehydrator locally because it was almost $20 cheaper, but at the time it was in my cart here in Amazon. I got this as a replacement dehydrator because the Nesco one I did have was just too noisy and got to the point that I didn't want to use it because of the noise level. The Waring Pro dehydrator is very quiet compared to other dehydrators I have heard in use. It doesn't take as long time wise for the drying to complete and is easy to clean up. Well built and very sturdy. My old dehydrator we had to use on the top of the stove because it would heat the counter top and left a dull mark, this one does not heat the counter and leaves no marks where it sits either.

I stalled for a long time making this purchase but my friend who also has a thing for all the latest kitchen gadgets kept insisting that I needed one of these. My old cheapies finally went into the trash and I got tired of cleaning stuck on scrambled eggs. I also ordered the 10 inch and am so impressed. There is nothing I've cooked in them that does not just slide right out, even cheese that spills out of the omelets.

My induction unit that sits on the counter is very fussy about what kind of cookware I use. These do work. I'm also impressed at the weight of the fry pans. They compare with other cookware that were far more expensive. I'm extremely happy that I finely decided to make the purchase.

I was so disappointed with my purchase of the stool. I paid $18.99 for a stool that was not what they advertised it. First of all it wasn't the size it stated: 7 3/4 " ht; 17 1/4" wide; by 13 1/2 long. I wear a size 12 shoe and only half my foot fit on the step stool. Also it stated up to 300 lbs and the sticker on the stools says way less. I wouldnt put a 200 lb person on this. The stool is more for a small child and made cheap. Also no rubber bottoms were on the legs. Don't waste your money! I found a better stool at walmart that was bigger and sturdier.

We have now been using this set for 6 months. When we first received and began using them, the pans were perfectly nonstick so that food including eggs could be cooked without any oil, and cleaning was fast and easy. Unfortunately this is no longer true -the pan we've used most often now requires oil in order than food doesn't stick, despite hand-washing and following the manufacturer's other directions. If no oil is used, the pan is like a traditional pan and not only does food stick, but the pan requires prolonged soaking and scrubbing to get it clean. You must also be careful not to stack the pans (chipping and scratching).

The pan handles do not get hot, but the lid handles do, so be prepared to use a potholder to move the lids.

The set must be hand-washed and handled carefully to avoid chipping, but this is not a problem for us.

I would have rated the set 5 stars had it retained its nonstick performance. The loss of the nonstick capacity and the subsequent difficulty with cleaning the pans drops my rating to two stars.

1/3/10 Edited to add: We've now been using this set for a year and I've noticed several minute to small chips out of the cooking surfaces of more that half the pieces. We do not use metal utensils (silicon only) and are careful with cleaning and storing. One piece has also absorbed the smell of the food that was cooked in it. I am now looking for a different set of cookware, and regret buying this one. While I prefer a "green," eco-friendly product, I think this one needs some improvements in quality and design.

My wife recently began researching possible harmful items in our home, and asked me to get cookware without Teflon. Having grown up with non-stick pans, and having had a bad encounter with stainless steel, I was expecting this change to be a nightmare. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised.

I researched healthy alternatives to non-stick and came up with ionized aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron and ceramic coated cast iron. None of these seemed like a great choice. I then went to Bed Bath and Beyond to look at pans and discovered the Cuisinart Green line. After seeing the cast iron, I realized we probably would somehow damage our new glasstop stove as it was so heavy, so ceramic coated aluminum sounded great.

I settled on either Calphalon One infused ionized aluminum or the Cuisinart line. However, Bed Bath and Beyond is a bit confusing with the Cuisinart line. They sell Cuisinart "Greenware" as a set and Green "Gourmet" as individual pieces. The Green Gourmet set is a bit more expensive, and I was advised by the salesperson not to buy GreenWare as it has a rough bottom that may scratch a glass top stove. He offerred to order a Green Gourmet set, but I decided to buy one Caphalon and one GreenGourmet frying pan and test them before investing in a set. I honestly didn't expect either to work as well as my non-stick pans.

I generally only cook breakfast on the weekends, so I cooked what I know how to cook. I took both pans and set the burner at the same setting (6 on my stove which is the setting I used for the non-stick pans). I made pancake batter and used an organic olive oil cooking spray. Interestingly, the Cuisinart pan was too hot at 6 so the pancakes burned and I had to set the stove at 4 to get the same results as the 6 on the Calphalon pan. Both pans were great with the pancakes--better than my non-stick pan and probably the prettiest looking pancakes I have ever made. The Cuisinart pan was very easy to clean, but the Calphalon took a bit more effort. On another day, I cooked eggs. Again using the same Olive Oil spray. The eggs immediately stuck to the Calphalon pan. Having read instructions on using cast iron and waiting for the eggs to "release", I waited, and waited and waited. What a mess! I couln't get the burnt eggs off the pan. Of course as soon as I put the pan in the sink with water, they popped right off so clean up was easy. I'm sure there is a correct way to cook eggs on this pan, but I couldn't do it after 4 tries. On the Cuisinart Pan, I had no problem, and surprisingly, the eggs seemed to be easier to turn over than on our old Farberware non-stick.

So after this, I decided to get the Cuisinart and ordered from Amazon which was $50 cheaper than the price quoted by the Bed Bath and Beyond salesperson who offerred to order it for me.

Best Deals for Cuisinart GG-12 GreenGourmet Hard-Anodized Nonstick 12-Piece

I agree with those who said that this cookware worked well only in the beginning. After only five months of regular use and following all manufacturer's instructions when caring for the set, the coating began to chip off. I sent one of the pots back to Cuisinart, but still haven't received a replacement. Whenever I call I am told that this item is currently not available and they don't know when I will get a new pot. I've been waiting for over five months already. For this amount of money I would expect the set to last more than half a year. If you need a "disposable" set, then I guess Cuisinart is a good idea. Also, do not expect Cuisinart to rush with the replacement. As for nonstick surface, well it's no longer so. Even though the idea of creating a green line cookware is something lots of us had been waiting for, the quality of this set is very poor.

Honest reviews on Cuisinart GG-12 GreenGourmet Hard-Anodized Nonstick 12-Piece

We've had this pan now for over a year. We bought it because we were trying to be environmentally and health conscious. Over that time, the pan turned from somewhat disappointingly sticky to a tragic mess. We seasoned it repeatedly, we never used harsh abrasives on it, but every time we use it, it gets worse. Grease sticks to it and the "safe" sponges and brushes do nothing to remove the residue. We simply can't get it clean. Food sticks to it like crazy --pancakes, eggs, potstickers, whatever I happen to be cooking.

It's come to the point where we're using as much or more oil than we would on a regular skillet, only we can't get this one clean. Avoid it unless you want to be buying another skillet in a year or two, like us. I really was hoping for a sustainable alternative to teflon, but this one just makes me angry.

The Cuisinart Green Gourmet Eco-Friendly cookware is great! Heats evenly, does not need heavy oils, butter, or sprays to cook in (once seasoned). Cleans very easily also with little effort. I would have given these products a 5 star rating, but 2 of the pans I bought from Bed, Bath and Beyond had to be return/replaced because they had some strange shading in the coating. I was unsure if that would affect the life or use of the product and returned for replacement. I have had no problems with any other of these pans that I have bought elsewhere, it may have just been the batch sent to that store, so I can definitely say I recommend this cookware. One note, if you are a "put everything in your dishwasher" kind of person, you will not like how these look or wear if you do that. I use to be that way and have now gotten use to hand washing these wonderful pans and my new set of knives to extend their life and use. Go green!

Whoever said this lid is sturdy is wrong! Mine arrived dented at the rim and when I tried to straighten it, my fingertip made a dent in the metal! It's not much heavier than tin foil. I chose this one because it had a heatproof handle but that is its only good feature. This thing would fly away in the wind if you used it outdoors. Don't waste your money. Shame on you Joyce Chen!

cheaply made. not what I was expecting considering the quality of the wok. They need to offer another lid choice of similar quality to the wok itself

Best Deals for Joyce Chen J31-0067 14-Inch Aluminum Wok Lid with stay cool

The lid which was suggested to go with the Joyce Chen wok does NOT match the quality of the wok. It is made of a cheap, lightweight metal which is not the same as the wok. Also, it is about an inch too small in diameter to properly fit the 14-inch wok! I accidentally dropped the lid and it fell from my hand to the counter top, I was surprised to see that the metal it was made of dented so easily with a simple knock. I would NOT recommend this lid, but I could not find another option to go with the Joyce Chen wok. Bad pairing on part of the manufacturer.

Honest reviews on Joyce Chen J31-0067 14-Inch Aluminum Wok Lid with stay cool

I wasn't as unhappy with the product as I was with the way it was shipped to me. Being that the lid was only $10 I was not expecting much in terms of quality. The issue is that the lid was placed in a box with no packaging material and ended up getting bent and dented in shipping. So much so that it was not usable. A few dents would have been upsetting but this was unacceptable. See images for a picture of what I received.

I purchased this saucepan because it was recommended by Cooks Illustrated and I wanted to buy a saucepan for life. I was very happy with the quality of the craftsmanship, however I have found the 4-quart size to be slightly awkward for cooking for just two people. For example, while it is an excellent soup saucepan for a couple, it is too big to cook just a few servings of rice rice (too much surface area), and too small to do pasta. I think that if I could do it again, I would purchase both a 3-quart size from another brand and the 2-quart size from this Cuisinart line.

Great heat distribution and easy to clean up.

I used to think non-stick was the way to go, but the non-stick pots and pans I've been using are all losing their coating. Is that a large black fleck of pepper or is it teflon coating?

The quality of this saucepan eliminates the need for non-stick. The rounded lip is really helpful for pouring into other containers without splashing or dripping.

I purchased the Multiclad Unlimited 2 qt and 4 qt saucepans based on Cooks Illustrated's rave reviews. These pans indeed perform wonderfully, but the coating on the outside has been a nothing but a mess. These are touted as 'dishwasher safe', and that is the only thing I can think of that has completely destroyed the outer coat. I have carefully hand washed with only cloth, or ran them in the dishwasher, but within a few uses, these pans looked like they were rubbed excessively with an SOS pad. Every time the outside gets wet, it leaves black behind on whatever it touches, dishcloth, dish-towell, etc. I have written to Cuisinart, but their customer support is abysmal. Since these function so well, I am keeping them, but they look completely trashy!

The "cladding" engineering on this pot works just as advertised food heats, simmers, and boils evenly and rapidly. The handles are not going to loosen, the lid fits nicely (and stores well because the handle is not super tall), and the pot looks great. For those thinking "price means higher quality", you might want to put aside that assumption and try this one out.

I had the standard Cuisinart Pro set for about 17 years and had been happy with it.

We got a new stove and either that or the fact that I cooked so much that the metal wore thin made the all of the cookware start emitting a really strange odor and smoking. I got worried that this was going to make us all sick or worse.

Because I do not want aluminum, I chose cast iron skillets to replace my old set. That left replacing saucepans. After doing a motherlode of research, I chose the MultiClad Unlimited.

I am so pleased with my choice!

These are heavy-duty, double walled, no aluminum touching my food, dishwasher safe (!), and cook like a dream. Also, compared to All-Clad or some others, they are pretty inexpensive. Considering that I had my old set for 17 years, I think the value is great.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I like to cook, and I cook a lot by combining raw ingredients and creating a meal (as opposed to simply heating up pre-made/frozen meals). So I value a quality set of cookware to be durable, easy to clean and that performs well. My mother had a Farberware cookware set that I believe she got as a wedding present in the late 50s. While the handles look the same still, this new set has nothing else in common. The old set was all stainless steel with no Teflon coating, and is still in use today.

So, that said, this is not a set for me, and let me give a few reasons why:

1) The set is made from cast aluminum with no extra material on the bottoms. The aluminum heats up quickly but unevenly, especially if you are using a gas stove. It's easy to burn things with this cookware.

2) The porcelain enamel exterior is easier to clean (with a non-abrasive cleaner), but should not be used on a glass cooktop. To quote from another web site: "Please also note that cookware with a painted, porcelain enamel or colored exterior must never be overheated on a glass/ceramic stovetop. Cookware of this type that is overheated may, in some instances, fuse to the surface of the stovetop requiring complete replacement of the stovetop."

3) Teflon really is not needed on pots as much as it is on frying pans. Teflon can release harmful vapors if overheated, and also reduces the production of 'fond' when sauteing that enhances flavor in some recipes. Teflon will also eventually come loose from the surface if used heavily.

I will say that this set does have a market though. I think the criteria would be that you have an electric stove with traditional electric burners, that you are on a tight budget and cannot afford higher quality cookware, and that you tend to use cookware to mostly heat up or combine and warm ingredients on the stove. If that is you, then I think this cookware will serve you well. However, if you are a 'serious' cook, then I would skip this set altogether and consider saving your money for a better quality set.

Personally, I have Wolfgang Puck's Cafe Collection cookware, which is heavy gauge stainless steel and I like it. This set would work fine if you have a induction, glass or ceramic cooktop, where you would want Stainless Steel cookware that is made with the full cap base. You could also check out the Cuisinart MCP-12N MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set for stainless, or a hard-anodized set like the Anolon Advanced Bronze Hard Anodized Nonstick 11-Piece Cookware Set, or a ceramic-lined set like the WearEver C944S564 Pure Living Nonstick Scratch Resistant Ceramic Coating PTFE-Free and PFOA-Free Dishwasher Safe 5-Piece Cookware Set, Champagne Gold if you like non-stick but not Teflon.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program First of all, I am assuming you are choosing this because you like the color. I found it to be very similar to the color shown here on Amazon.

The Dupont Teflon Select is Dupont's professional level of coating, and is among the sturdiest of all of the Dupont coatings. The porcelain coating on the outside makes even that easy to clean. Having purchased Farberware for years, I am especially pleased with this quality set from a name I already trust.

Please take a look at the sizes of the pans. The 8" and 10" Skillet's are pretty standard, as are the 1 and 2 quart saucepans. The 6 quart stockpot is just the right size for larger dishes, but does not reach the size needed for many canning jobs. Think of this as a cooking set, not a canning set.

But where this set REALLY shines is the inclusion of the 3 quart covered Saute. It uses the same size lid as the Stockpot, but sits about half as high. It is perfect for many of the dishes you make that are boxed stove-top recipes since the food can be cooked without slopping out the sides. It is also perfect for home-fried chicken. This is difficult to find in many sets, so if you are considering this over another set, be sure to compare this particular pan. It will become a favorite.

The handles are good in the oven up to 350 degrees, however the only one I have ever been tempted to use in my oven is the stockpot. With the others, the handles are unwieldy to use in the oven. I really appreciate the glass covers, and have chosen glass whenever possible, just for the niceness and convenience of being able to see inside of the pot. I noticed another review mentioned that they didn't fit correctly, all of mine were perfectly fitted. In fact, the lid for the stock pot and 3 qt fit well on the 10" fry pan. The only pan that doesn't have a fitting lid is the 8" fry pan.

This particular set comes with a slotted turner and spoon. I do want to mention that they are not of the highest quality. I have encountered similar ones before, and the spoon actually bends when you attempt to stir thicker items. So, while I think you will enjoy these pans (I do), you will want to purchase higher quality kitchen implements for long-term usage in your kitchen. And don't buy these just because they are included.

Great color, high quality teflon, and great sizes. A good choice.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program When I moved into my first apartment, my mom took me around the various neighborhood garage sales to find some cookware in hopes of me taking care of myself with home-cooked meals. Virtually ever garage sale has one or two pieces of vintage Farberware for sale and for good reason: the stuff is built to last. I've tried cheap pots and pans from Target and Wal-Mart, but they are easily destroyed if you accidentally overheat them or leave them on a burner a bit too long. Accidents happen, but I've not had to worry about it with Farberware cookware.

Happily, this new set maintains the standard of quality with the added benefit of matching, thereby making my home cooking endeavors appear more legitimate. I have a few All-Clad pieces and, yes, they are heavier, heat up faster, and probably cook more evenly. Each All-Clad piece also sells for about 50% more than what this entire set costs. If you don't have a ton of money to put into your kitchen setup, Farberware is a great option.

They came and they are perfect! Exact same color as shown in the picture! Perfect color and goes with my kitchen so well! Seem to be pretty good quality so far! But I'm sure to not use metal on them!

I bought this set after I returned a Cooks Essentials cookware set that I bought from QVC that was of poor quality. I was a little skeptical because the price of this set was only $79 which I thought was probably another cheap set. I saw that it had decent reviews so I took the chance and so far I think for the price it was a good option. The color is not really turquoise but it is a nice light blue. They are very easy to clean. I have burned stuff on them and I don't even need to soak them to get the food off. I am happy I bought the set. My only complaint is that one of the lids was slightly defective so the lid doesn't fully fit the pot but it wasn't a big deal for me.

I bought this to replace a broken old dish and as with all consumer Corning items it's definitely not an exact replacement. This is stoneware while the old one was high temperature ceramic (you can tell by looking at the bottom, if it's ok for stovetop use...it's the good stuff).

Anyway, it will work, but I miss the days of quality Corning items. I do still buy industrial Pyrex (NOT related to the cheap stuff sold as consumer items with the brand name Pyrex).

Packing was pretty good for an Amazon package, no damage to the dish. Odd, no retail box was provided, just the dish and lid.

The new design is more attractive, and just as useful. This is a replacement for another dish that we had for some time, and it fits our needs.
