I purchased a set of pans, the problem was the 8 inch skillet didn't have a lid for it. When I contacted the company to purchase a lid for the 8 inch skillet I was told I'd have to call Switzerland to get one! That's when I came to amazon and was able to find the Swiss Diamond 8 inch lid for my Swiss Diamond pan without having to call Switzerland. It fits perfectly. Obviously, this glass lid cannot take the heat, for when I removed it from the heat, it instantly exploded into thousands of bits.

What I was preparing had to be dumped, since it was full of glass, glass everywhere.

I purchased this set to replace several of the pieces from my original Berndes Signo Cast Set. I purchase a large set about 25 years ago from Williams-Sonoma.

This set has been through daily usage for over 2 decades and even survived teenage kids.

This set was no longer available at Williams-Sonoma-so I decided to look about for a new set. I settled on Calphalon Classic.

I purchased the Calphalon at a big box retailer and brought it home. There was a revolute in the family. I returned the set and began looking about on the internet.

Bingo--found exactly what I needed at Amazon.

Every cook has their own preferences, and mine is always Berndes SignoCast. I love the quality of the material, the way it distributes heat, the easy clean up....to name a few. Cons....well I don't know of any. Although expensive, these are by far my favorite pans to cook with. The only other pans I use are Cast Iron when I need to make rue or brown something really well, and all other cooking is done in a Berndes pan. I own all sizes of pans so I have one for every need.

I've owned the 12" pan for well over a year. Initially, I liked it very much, and it sat perfectly flat on my glass-top stove. Since then, the bottom has warped, although the pan has never been abused and gets only light-to-moderate use. That probably happened because the metal is quite thin, which makes for a lightweight pan, but also for one that will deform through use. Had I posted a review shortly after I purchased the pan, I would have given it the four or five stars that the majority of others here gave it. As things stand now, I award it two stars instead of one only because its non-stick qualities are good and have held up well.

I got a very poorly handle construction. when you cook, you will got a lot of smoke, make you don't want breath even you clean the wok well.After 6 month use, the inside coating is off. It is terrible.

This wok is ruined by a poorly constructed handle. After short usage the chrome "plate" was peeling off leaving razor sharp edges, and now the handle is coming loose and no amount of tightening of the inadequate screw will correct this.

Word to the wise, always look for a solidly riveted handle, and not this sort of cheap apology.

This wok is great for a healthier stir-fry. Because of the non-stick coating you don't need to use as much oil as other woks which makes for a much tastier and healthier stir-fry. I also really like the glass lid. After I get the meat all cooked up on high heat I can then bring it down to a low simmer put all the vegetables in and cover it for a few more minutes. This keeps the vegetables at a nice crispness. To top it all off, the wok can even be washed in the dishwasher for those times that you just don't have enough time to mess with all of the clean up. This is a great wok!

The thing that impressed me most about this wok is that it is truly nonstick. A lot of pots/pans/woks claim to be nonstick but require a lot of oil to really keep things moving. Not with this wok. I've made several curries and stir fries and everything slides around with ease, which means I don't have to overload the food with an unhealthy amount of oil. Also, it's lighter weight than other woks I've used, making it easier to handle. A good stir fry requires a lot of movement and stirring, and this wok allows that without making it feel like a chore. The shape and glass lid also make it versatile for things other than traditional Asian dishes. So far, I am pleased with this product.

Fits nicely on the wall in my teeny-tiny kitchen. I've got it set up to hold 6 pots and pans plus a couple of small items, and my cookbooks are up on top. It's perfect for about that amount of stuff (especially after I wall-mounted a lid holder next to it).

It's attractive, it's sturdy, and it was actually surprisingly easy to install. First off I would like to say that this rack was not difficult to assemble as some reviews have said. It only has about 6 pieces and there was really nothing tricky to it at all. I had it assembled and on the wall in less than 1/2 hour.

This rack does seem a little overpriced, but it is very good quality and quite heavy duty. This fit perfectly in my kitchen pantry and is holding five frying pans and two strainers. Plus I have a pressure cooker and a couple of mixing bowls on the shelf. My wife is thrilled with it.

One thing I should mention is that it really takes two hands to take a frying pan off of it. You really need to hold the hook with one hand and slide the pan off with the other. Otherwise the hook will come off the rack when trying to slide the pan off. I suppose you could crimp the hook down a little more to help prevent this, but seeing as we hung ours at a height where it is easy enough to hold the hook, it is really not an issue.

Great little rack that freed up quite a bit of cupboard space!

I want to like the rack. It is a good price. It is solidly built. It looks really sharp. It comes with nice hardware to let you hang it on a drywall wall without studs.

However, it is quite a pain to put together. I have a bachelors degree in Computer Science, so I generally think I am good at following directions. I have had great success with Ikea directions. However, the directions on this thing kicked my butt. I had to read most lines 10 times to understand what it meant. Then I would still miss some subtle detail and have to redo the step. Trying to get the sides aligned perfectly square so that the holes would be the prescribed 20.75 inches apart was very hard. You would adjust it one way, and it would lean the other way. So much harder to get square than it should have been. The bolts I was working on were also very soft, so after 2 or 3 adjustments they would be stripped out, and that was all the adjustments you can do.

The included hardware assumes no studs. So if there is a stud where you want to hang it, you are out of luck. The included hardware also assumes 1.75" of empty space behind the drywall. If both these conditions are met, it will work great. If you have less than 1.75" of space behind your drywall, you will need to find another way to mount it.

So in conclusion, if you are good at reading complicated directions, and want a sturdy pot rack for a good price, get this guy. If you are not very handy, you might be better off with a different one.

Purchasing the pan was a breeze the transaction went well and it arrived in perfect condition. I used the pan for the first time and was pleased with the nonstick performance and ease of clean up. The pan itself is made of thin aluminum, though and it suffers for it. Heat transfer is somewhat uneven because of its light construction. The handle has become a little loose after only two weeks of use, which is a disappointment. It's an OK implement for quick easy dishes, but I wouldn't use it for 'heavy' recipes or things where even heat conduction is essential.

the pan itself is great. It arrived with a small scratch and a loose handle. The handle can't be tightened and seems to be getting worse. I assume it wont last very long because of this.

I got one of these for Christmas and at first was doubtful about how well it could do at aerating the sauces I'd use it for. By the time I got finished using it for the first time, I was sold. It's especially useful for cheese sauces or anything where ingredients tend to stick to a pan's bottom no matter how careful you are. The flat build means you can get into those corners.

I've had my Rosle flat whisk for 10 years and it has held it's shape perfectly which is amazing given that I use it primarily as a dough whisk. I make bread several times a week and I use this whisk to incorporate flour and water into my sourdough starter, and to use it mixing the bread dough. Even using it on a heavy, multi-grain dough, it's strong enough to do the job. And because it's a wire whisk, it is super easy to clean (and anyone who deals with dough a lot will know how gunky it can get).

Of course, it's perfect for making pan sauces too. Highly recommend this product.

Works very well with my induction cooker!

I needed induction ready cookware. The price & appearance were very attractive, & it is used daily. I place frozen steaks or frozen hamburger patties in the roasting pan & place it on a GRANITE countertop to defrost them in less than 30 minutes ( a discovery by an earlier reviewer). An inexpensive granite table or slab can be purchased. Any THIN metal sheet can be used instead of the roasting pan. This is much better than a Microvewave & much faster than a refrigerator. We love this set!

Buy One Pair Stainless Steel Portable Travel Chopstick 8034

I bought a pair from JapanBargain so that they could fit inside my bento box, which is 6 inches long, too small for regular sized chopsticks. They shipped promptly the next day.

The first thing I noticed when opening the package was a strong, aluminum/metallic smell--not a big deal for me. What bugs me though is my OCD-nature and the fact that the two pairs do not match up evenly. One chopstick is a bit chunkier than the other, and I know they are not a perfect pair because the ringed edges do not match up either, one starts farther up and has deeper ridges, whereas the other has faint ridges that start closer from the tip. I've posted pictures if anyone is interested in seeing this.

They screw in nicely with its' counterparts however, and are sturdy so I'll keep them for now. Will not buy again, however.

I have no idea what others are using this rack for. I purchased it to put in the bottom of my pressure cookers when I need an iteam to be fairly high up off the floor of the cooker. For example, if I'm doing rice. I want the rice, in a separate bowl inside, to be separated from the boiling/steam water. This is perfect.

We have used this stock pot mainly for pasta so far and it has performed well. It is nice looking, lightweight, and very easy to clean. It is the perfect size for a full box of pasta or a soup or stew for the entire family. I am consistently impressed with Le Creuset products.

Update to my original review: I still love this pot but I did have to replace it. I accidentally dropped it in my sink and knocked off part of the enamel coating. The coating is a bit delicate and I am much more careful with my new pot.

This pot is great for cooking small amounts of pasta, soup, etc... when the 8 quart one is too much. We have not experienced the chipping problem another reviewer mentioned and we've had ours for well over 2 years. I recommend it highly but should you have a problem Le Creuset has one of the best warranties out there and I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem returning it for a new one.

I was so excited to get my Le Creuset stockpot and am very pleased with how well it cooks my soups and stews. However, I have only used it 3 times and the enamel is chipping off at the joint where the handles attach to the pot. It even looks like it has been patched there because the color of the enamel is lighter than the area around it. And this chipping is not just in one spot. It has chipped on all four joints of the handles.

I am not sure whether to send it back or keep it. I have not seen any review that mentions this problem. If no one else has chipped handles, I will probably send it back. But if it is a common problem, I will keep the pot. There would be no use in getting another one with the same defects.

Bought two of these. Both had the enamel chip off. One of them wore through to the inside of the pot and I had to toss it. When I contacted Le Creuset they said I could send it back at MY expense and they would EVALUATE if it was my error or theirs. Sounded like a losing proposition to me as the cost of sending it back is almost half the cost of another pot. BEWARE.... and listen to the reviewers who say it chipped. BOTH of mine did. I am very annoyed about it...especially the way that customer service handled my complaint. I was VERY nice about it and told them I own just about every other type of cookware they have including the big iron pot that costs over $300; bakeware etc. They didn't seem to care. Don't buy these.
