Best Basic Essentials 16pc Stainless Steel Cook and Prep Set Deals
This is a decent little set for the money. But the accompanying instruction sheet says "handwash only." That little piece of intormation should have been included in the product description. I wouldn't have purchased these had I known. (Who wants to wash their pots & pans by hand?!)

Heavy duty, double coated non-stick, alum alloy...does not rust. Should last a lifetime. Very easy to clean just wipe with a wet rag and hand dry or air dry pan. My wife and I are tired of replacing baking pans that rust after a few years. I have another Chicago baking tray and it has taken a beating, but still looks new. I have had it for about 10 years. Ok to use in dishwasher if you are in a hurry or have room.
I think they have sent me the newer version, since there is 'II' mentioned on the pack. However, the pan is much, much better-looking than the image shown of the newer version.
The quality is really worth the money, just like the one by USA Pans, which also was bought from Amazon a few weeks back. Both the pans may be a bit on the expensive side, but they are an investment a serious baker should definitely go for.
Thanks, Chicago Metallic, for this lovely pan.
However, after 5 baking, muffins started to stick to the pan. I treated it with cooking oil before baking with no use. Right now, muffins sticks so hard that it is very difficult to remove muffins from it even with metallic spoon. I did not over-bake; I have baked muffins at 425 F for 15 min.
Now I use paper bake cups, but still it is very difficult for me to clean the pan, even after soaking it in water for a long time. The surface of pan is still slick and no good to handle it safely. Not a good choice with a higher price you pay. I rarely write a review, but I have to at this time.
People have said the coated pans lose their non-stick quality after a while. I have noticed that some with the bread pans, but only slightly, after heavy use. Some people said they had not used anything in the pans -no butter or spray -which I don't think is the best way to bake and not what non-stick is intended for. It is supposed to make it easier to get baked goods out of the pan, but not to replace greasing the pans in the first place. I have no trouble getting bread out of the pans. If the product has a high sugar content, you will need not only to grease the pan, but coat it with flour as well to get things out easily. That's just normal baking procedure. The non-stick surface helps make this easier. The last muffins I baked in these pans had a high sugar content and came out very easily with just buttering and without flouring them.
I am very happy with the muffin pans, as I am with the others. I hope to replace all my baking pans with Chicago metallic products. .

When I received this pan first, I noticed that its surface is very slick and expected highly its non-stick performance. During the first 5 baking, much to my satisfaction, muffins did not stick to the pan at all, even I did not pre-treat the pan with oil. I was very happy and took care of it very well by hand washing with sponge/mild cleaner. However, after 5 baking, muffins started to stick to the pan. I treated it with cooking oil before baking with no use. Right now, muffins sticks so hard that it is very difficult to remove muffins from it even with metallic spoon. These pans are heavy-weight, made for heavy use. I do a lot of baking for my synagogue and having good equipment makes everything come out better. In my opinion, you can't get better baking pans than Chicago Metallic. I also have 9x13 baking/roasting pans and 1 1/2 pound loaf pans that get a lot of use -I bake all our bread. They all stand up to heavy use and turn out a superior product.People have said the coated pans lose their non-stick quality after a while. Well constructed, more expensive than many others but worth it to have it around longer! Haven't used it a lot, but I'm certain it won't have to be replaced for a long time.Wednesday, November 5, 2014

List Price: $215.00

I have wanted one of these for years but never knew if they performed like folks claimed they did.
Well now I know, they are great, you have to learn how to use them, you can't throw them on the stove turn the heat up high and expect to quick fry a hamburger.
You have to keep the heat down to medium or below and allow the pan to heat up after that it will cook anything you put in it properly and at the correct temperature, the heat is distributed evenly through the whole pan, which is something I have never seen in an aluminum or stainless pan, there are always cooler areas even though the burner covers the whole bottom of the pan.
This pan cooks evenly and steady.
Even though it is ceramic coated I like to apply a little cooking oil to the pan after it gets hot.
I have cooked almost every day for the last forty seven years and I don't use pre-packaged processed food and have owned everything from Emerils cookware to all-clad, The best I have found in stainless is the Healthy Gourmet, that stuff is surgical stainless and is tough.
I can't wait to save up and get the Le Creuset dutch oven.
Easy to clean. Heavy iron.

Cheap Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles Pink Christmas 12-Inch Green
This Johnson Brothers Christmas platter is of very good quality. I bought four of these this past holiday for family presents. All reported they loved this old time design and used it throughout the holiday. I did buy it sight unseen and had them shipped to me first and I thought they were fantastic and sold at a fair price/fast shipping. Now I need to order one for myself! LOL!

Its made for cooking or it wouldnt have the brand name on it, its worth the purchase you get a sturdy cake mode and alot with it you get a proper storage case or carrying case for it, you cant go wrong, I use it all the time, and its still holding strong, worth it, when baking its worth investing in your molds and carrying cases especially if you use them alotBest Deals for ENTENMANNS BAKEWARE Bundtform Pan with Carrier

The bundt pan is a little smaller than I expected. It's smaller in diameter than a traditional buntd pan, but I like the shape and the wavy pattern better than the standard bundt pan shape by Nordicware. The carrier is the perfect size for this pan and it mimics the shape of the pan. Overall I am pleased with it. I purchased it from Amazon.Friday, October 3, 2014

amazing pan with good depth, intermediate weight, can easily manouever but not too heavy to lift ,good nonstick and heat retaining performance good bang for the buck will not disappoint
1) The pan cannot be easily manipulated because it is too close to the back wall.
2) The pan does not get nearly hot enough. Even on 8-of-10 (which is normally VERY HOT for most pans) this thing barely gets warm other than dead-center in the bottom of the pan, a 6" diameter area. The sides of the pan, which is the whole reason to get a pan of this style, stay cool enough that nothing cooks if it is not touching the middle center of the pan.
Maybe this pan works on other induction tops but definitely not ours. Sadly I cannot find the cardboard logo wrapper that was around the pan, so we dropped $40 on something that is useless to us. Maybe I can send it to my mother's place and it will work better on a standard electric range.
Sadly disappointed. It looks great, but I don't but pans to look at them... in fact they hide in the cabinets under the cook top, so this really serves zero purpose for us.
We've washed the pans by hand and in the dishwasher multiple times and have not seen any wear on the pans. We love them! Great price too!

This item says it is induction compatible, but not really. Our high-end Bosch induction cook top has worked with EVERY SINGLE PAN we have used on it (that is induction friendly) EXCEPT this one. Even the $10 Walmart generic pans work better. This pan only works on a single "burner", the smallest of those on the stove which is also closest to the wall. That means the over-sized pan has two major problems for us:1) The pan cannot be easily manipulated because it is too close to the back wall.
2) The pan does not get nearly hot enough. Even on 8-of-10 (which is normally VERY HOT for most pans) this thing barely gets warm other than dead-center in the bottom of the pan, a 6" diameter area. I dislike ordering sizzling Fajitas at a restaurant when they come out not sizzleing. I decided to order two of these pans and make my own. I use one for beef and one for chicken. I prepare the peppers and onions in a seperate pan and place them in the oven to keep hot. Meanwhile, I place the iron pans in the oven, top shelf under low broil, just to get the pans nice and hot. I prepare the meat. Once I am ready, I test the pans with a drip of water to see if they sizzle. At that point, I remove the pans, use a light spray of Pam on each and place the meat, chicken, peppers and onions on each pan and serve "sizzleing" right away. They taste better then the restaurant because they are prepared with TLC. You can make up your own sauce or use the packets. I use Baja Chipotle by Lawry's Serve with all the usual fixings.I like to cook fajitas and carnitas on the grill but the restaurant experience of having them served on a sizzling platter has always been missing...not any more. I still prepare the food in the same manner as always and a few minutes before taking the meat and vegetables off the grill I throw these pans on the grill to get them nice and hot. When the food is ready so are the platters. With the aid of a good grill mitt and the wooden bases the rest is easy...just dish up the servings on the platter and take them to the table. Along with a nice cold cerveza, you have restaurant style fajitas at home.

(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM)This "luxury" damask runner is a lightweight, single-ply, polyester runner with gold tassels at each angled end. The background is ivory, with a two-tone gold/beige floral pattern. Unfortunately, because the material is both slippery and thin, it can easily slip from its position unless something on top holds it in place. It does look nice, however, and it serves its purpose. I just wish it were heavier, either because of another layer of fabric on the back or a better material. Still, I got what I paid for.

I was looking for a heavy pot to cook my marinara sauce in one that wouldn't scorch so easily on the bottom. I make a huge pot of marinara sauce twice a month and I was tired of scorching the bottom and trying to salvage unburnt sauce into another pot, which really never works because the scorched taste is still there. Maybe I am not attentive enough, but this happens regularly with all my other pots, Calphalon, Cuisinart, Farberware, etc. I can't use my Lodge cast iron because it is not big enough for the amount of sauce I want to make. Since All-Clad is so expensive, I decided to try Cuisinox. OMG! I love it! It is heavy, heavy, heavy really substantial and my sauce doesn't burn. Mind you, you cannot walk away for 20 minutes while the sauce boils, but with a reasonable amount of attention, this pot gets the job done. I then purchased a Cuisinox Elite 7.8 Quart Covered Dutch Oven, and this weekend, I cooked beef burgundy in it to perfection! Cuisinox is a Canadian company and they explained that their Elite line is thick 3-ply stainless steel on the bottom AND the sides of each pot, whereas their Gourmet line is only 3-ply on the bottom. So, stick with the Elite line and you will a heavy stainless still pot that rivals any other top of the line cookware.

Light weight but solidly constructed, nothing rattles feels like the kettle is well put together. Could go into details about the spun metal construction, the aluminum plate at the bottom for more efficient transfer of heat, and how the handles and spout are spot welded to the main body of the kettle. But all that is just frivolous detail, though as is how the lid opening is rolled round and inward and you really have to feel around the rolled metal to find the edge which is rather smooth. It's a solid kettle and should stay that way unless it gets kicked or tossed about like a football.
Relatively easy to clean and fill with the removable lid, though a smaller hand than mine would make interior washing a bit easier. THAT feature is a plus for me as I like to be able to wash and inspect the inside of the kettle and make sure nothing is building up in there.
Seems to heat fast in spite of the large capacity, packaging claims it can be used on all stoves. Gas, electric, ceramic etc, so the kettle is compatible with any stove, no troubles there.
I've poured out a quart and a half of boiling water from this kettle, you should not have to worry about running out of hot water for your friends/co-workers unless there are a LOT of them, or they're VERY thirsty.
The only major knock against this kettle is that the handle gets hotter than hell while it's heating up on the stove, use a towel or oven mitts when taking this kettle off the boil otherwise you're going to get hurt, you've been warned.
The kettle comes with it's own nifty whistle/air raid siren. You will have NO trouble hearing it. Your going to know when the water is boiling, your family is going to know it, your neighbors and people passing by on the street are going to know the water is boiling as well. I rather like the whistle/air raid siren thing, as I tend to set it on the stove and forget it, which could be bad if the whistle wasn't so loud. I usually zip downstairs and turn the stove off before the whistle/siren cranks up to full blast and alerts everyone I'm making some tea. Whistle is obviously removable so you can boil water without waking the family or alerting the neighbors that you are doing so. Just don't misplace the whistle, it isn't attached to the kettle and you might need it someday should there be an air raid.
Good tea kettle, solid construction, heats up fast for its size, nice large capacity, easy to clean and comes with that nifty siren/whistle to remind you that, yes, you've put the kettle to boil. Rather expensive but I do not regret shelling out the extra shekels for the kettle.

Excellent, quality. The whistle is loud enough to hear from any room in the house, but not loud enough to annoy me.Best Deals for Cuisinox Elite Whistling Tea Kettle, 2.5-Liter
I went through 2 other kettles before I found this one. I have an induction stove and this is the only kettle that is well built and does not splatter water when it boils. Just one word of warning, as was mentioned by another reviewer, the whistle is LOUD. Even on the opposite side of my home, it's LOUD. The whistle does just pop on and off so you can easily remove it if it annoys you.Honest reviews on Cuisinox Elite Whistling Tea Kettle, 2.5-Liter
I love the style of this teapot. I heat up water for tea or coffee daily, so wanted something that would look nice sitting on stove. The little loop on the end of the spout becomes too hot to handle, so you need a hot mitt in order to open it for pouring. After less than 30 days it developed a leak around the bottom seal. For the price, I would definitely expect better quality.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Cuisinox Elite Whistling Tea Kettle, 2.5-Liter
I finally found a tea kettle that would work on my new Induction stovetop! I wanted more of a classic, rectangular shape and was a bit hesitant, but the round shape really does look great. I must warn you, the whistle on this kettle sounds like 10 fire alarms screaming. I removed mine so as not to alert my neighbors. Very nice product!Wednesday, June 25, 2014
Review of Beka Cookware Chef Eco-logic Covered Bekadur Ceramica Non-Stick
I threw out several teflon saucepans and frying pan and replaced them with Beka's enamel-coated ones. They are even BETTER than teflon with regard to non-stick and clean-up benefits. And, no concerns about teflon's problem at 450 degrees (heating an empty pan by mistake can quickly reach that temp).

Reviews of Old Dutch Angled Pot Rack Hooks, Satin Nickel, Set of 4
I hang my pots & pans with lids by their handles from a home made hanger made from a regular flat steel bar which I then drilled out in order to hang by chains from the kitchen ceiling above our island counter. These hooks were bought as they are shorter than those offered in retail stores plus the twist allows the pans to hang flat against each other. Obviously I use these shorter hooks to hang pots with longer handles so as I do not bump my head into them if leaning over the counter. As I also spray painted my pot hanger bar a copper color then these hooks would have gained an extra star or two had then been available copper colored. Even so they match my need perfectly.
