I just bought this pan and started using it after it was seasoned. There is one issue that is bugging me about that pan. The bottom has a convex shape instead of a flat or even concave like a Chinese Wok. The net result is that the oil flows to the edge of the pan, so I find that I had use more oil to cover the pan.

Does anyone know if the DeBuyer pan have the same physical characteristic as far as the pan bottom goes? The pan is still useable, but I have to use a little more oil than I like.

My wife and I have become grossed out with peeling non-stick pans and tired of replacing them every year or two. I love iron frying pans (I buy antique ones on Ebay which are far better than any you can get new) but you can't saute or toss in a heavy iron pan. I bought this as an experiment gone well. The bottom is dead flat and the curved sides work well. It has seasoned nicely and is non-stick in the way a properly cared for iron pan is. I use it all the time. The handle is very long which is good for tossing and keeping your hand away from the hot part but the long handle makes it hard to fit in small storage areas. I expect it to last a lifetime just like the iron pans. I scrub it out with hot water and a plastic scrubber (no soap), dry it and keep a film of oil on it so it doesn't rust.

If you want a carbon steel fry pan, this is an excellent option. It's reasonably inexpensive, quite solid, and works well on the range and baked or broiled in the oven. This is a standard French/professional kitchen item that requires seasoning and good cleaning. But nothing stands up to high temperature cooking as well as these.

This is a really cool concept, poorly executed. The clear sleeve slides up and down on an aluminum cylinder. The top of the cylinder is a rubber gasket that seals the sleeve, thus preventing leakage between the sleeve and the cylinder. All of that works fine.

The problem is that at the bottom of the aluminum cylinder is a plastic ring of a larger diameter than the cylinder. This ring stops the sleeve from sliding below the top of the cylinder, and also acts as a foot so you can stand the measuring cup. Unfortunately, the ring is made from a fairly hard plastic, which can become brittle and crack. But it doesn't break away cleanly so you're left with a measuring cup that won't stand up straight. That might be fine if you're measuring things and dumping them straight into a bowl, but if you have to sit the thing down while it's full, forget it.

I received this set as a wedding gift two years ago and all three pieces work well. I especially like the spoons they save so much space by having multiple measurements in one spoon (as opposed to a separate spoon for each measurement). They are easy to clean and easy to use. The cup is good for peanut butter and shortening, but I don't use it for liquids. I really like my adjust-a-measure set and would recommend it to friends and family.

The sliding measuring spoons were very difficult to slide even for someone not having arthritis making this item not very user friendly. The big measurer did not easily expunge the food I was measuring and with having to grease the plunger to make it move easily added to prep and clean-up time. Liquids tended to leak. I think I am better off with a regular set of measuring cups and spoons.

This is my favorite pan and I have had it for at least a year. The trick to this product is to really not to wash as often as you can but to wipe it clean. Use a little oil if you must but it looks like the day I purchased it. I only wish it had a lid, but I make my own with aluminum foil then toss it after cooking. I have put it in the dishwasher and it comes out very clean and ready for use so please don't think I mean to not wash it often. I plan to purchase another one for sure.

I'm not sure about the reviewer who said the pan sticks. This pan is so easy and perfect to cook with. I have made fried eggs, fish, chicken, sauces, pancakes and more. I barely have to use any oil at all. Definitely love this and glad I took the chance to spent $100 on a pan.

As a home chef, cooking is a passion for me, and I'm fortunate enough to have a job that has me home by 3:00 or so every day, so I cook constantly. Most of my cookware is high end, so I have high expectations that it will all perform flawlesslay over time, from Le Creuset to All-Clad. Recently, my Silit ceramic pan began to stick when I cooked egg dishes, so I decided to look for something to use just for eggs. I finally settled on the Zwilling Thermalon 12" Fry Pan, and I'm glad I did.

I use induction cooktops, so I often encounter situations where the center of the pan/pot heats well but the edges do not. (Yes, even with All-Clad products.) Not so with this pan; a 3-5 minute pre-heat (at 250 to 270) was enough to have the rim within 20 degrees of the center. I think the aluminum core and the medium thickness of the pan accounts for this.

My first trial was to heat the pan, no oil or butter, and break an egg into it over a medium (350) heat. Cooked up fine with no sticking; my only problem was the pan was so slick I couldn't manage to get it to sit still to let a spatula slide underneath. I used a "pan flip" to turn the egg and had a perfect "over easy". Scrambled eggs were a cinch and I used a pat of butter only for flavor. After each egg dish, I only had to wipe the pan clean with a paper towel.

To keep this short I have used this pan to sear/brown the following before finishing in the oven: breaded and unbreaded chicken breasts, strips steaks, top round roast (for sauerbraten) and breaded fish fillets. In each instance I had no need to wash the pan after I had wiped it clean with paper toweling. I used a small amount of oil with each item except the steaks, and I've used only silicon utensils.

I don't know for sure why some reviewers found sticking issues after a short while, but I'd guess that they heated an empty pan too hot. That can cause a pan/pot to warp. If a fry pan warps, it can seriously damaged its non-stick. Nevertheless, this pan comes with a lifetime warranty, so if you like to cook (and know how to) and want great results with minimal cleanup, the Thermalon pan is made for you. I highly recommend it!

This steamer insert fits my Anolon Advanced 2-qt, 3-qt, 3-1/2-qt and 4-qt saucepans (the 4-qt saucepan lid fits the steamer perfectly), and it seems to be well constructed. I'm quite pleased with it.

I got this to fit my Kirkland hard anodized pots. The step-up sizing worked perfectly with 3 of my different sized pots. It is sturdy and washes up nicely. I would have given it a higher rating if it had included a lid. Luckily I had a lid from my set that fit.

There's something really impressive about the stoneware that Le Creuset makes these cups weigh about the same as every other mug of similar size, but they're practically indestructible. These guys just refuse to ever chip, crack, or stain, and that is *awesome*.

My only sort-of-a-nit: These are just a little bit smaller than I was expecting. It took me a little while to adjust my pouring technique to avoid the cup overflowing, but it turns out that the end result is still a delightful cappuccino. Probably even better. :-)

I got one of these for Christmas and at first was doubtful about how well it could do at aerating the sauces I'd use it for. By the time I got finished using it for the first time, I was sold. It's especially useful for cheese sauces or anything where ingredients tend to stick to a pan's bottom no matter how careful you are. The flat build means you can get into those corners.

I've had my Rosle flat whisk for 10 years and it has held it's shape perfectly which is amazing given that I use it primarily as a dough whisk. I make bread several times a week and I use this whisk to incorporate flour and water into my sourdough starter, and to use it mixing the bread dough. Even using it on a heavy, multi-grain dough, it's strong enough to do the job. And because it's a wire whisk, it is super easy to clean (and anyone who deals with dough a lot will know how gunky it can get).

Of course, it's perfect for making pan sauces too. Highly recommend this product.

First, the pan is smaller than I had anticipated. The actual inside dimensions at the bottom of the pan are about 8 3/4" x 13 1/4".

The pan is just awful. I bought it for a second home and would have returned it were it not for the fact that it would have been just about impossible for me to get that done during the day that I was there. I have purchased foil-based, one-time use pans at the grocery store that felt nicer. Really. I've been looking for another Revere 13x9 stainless steel pan that would last for years like the one I have at home. The pan is lightweight, the edges are folded over (again giving rise to that grocery-store foil pan feel. If I could have given less than one star I would have.

On arrival, I thought the pan looked and felt a bit flimsy. For the price I paid (less than 20), it was worth trying it out, so I decided to keep it. It's far exceeds my expectations. Yes, lightweight and thin, but a true positive addition to my cookware. Handles high heat, just the right amount of room for small to large roasting/baking, sides are the perfect height, and fits easily in sink for clean-up. Recommendations: 1. very, very lightly coat pan with oil before putting in food 2.do not put in water before it cools 3.soaking for an hour will remove just about anything 'stuck' to it, including burned bits and sticky foods. 4. never use overly abraisive products to scrub it; it doesn't need it and you will scratch the pan. Just a light buff with a brillo pad or plastic scrubby for the top rim will remove the splatter marks.

Every time I use it, I'm amazed at how well it does, and how easy it is to clean. I could have easily spent three times as much for a pan that size thinking it had to be some bulky, heavy, made to last forever type of pan, but I'm glad I took a chance on this one. Worth every penny and more.

Very nice stainless steel pan. It is a thin pan, but seems to cook really well and I think the thin design helps with heat transference. Food browns very nice in the pan without getting overly brown on the bottom.

I've used the pan for everything from scalloped potatoes to cornbread.

Easy to clean with a sponge that has a "soft scratchy side". If something really sticks which it doesn't usually, just use a little bit of barkeepers friend. The pan is really shiny and I think overall I'm going to get many years of good cooking use with it.

My mother taught me how to crack an egg and go back and forth between the 2 shell halves to separate the yolks. What a mess! Next, I saw a video online to use an old plastic bottle to separate the egg yolk. It worked! However now, the plastic bottles are being made with thinner plastic due to the environment so that does not work anymore! Desperate for an answer, as I am baking all the time, I found the Quirky Pluck Yolk Extractor! Our healthy minded family only eat egg whites. This little gadget has made removing the yolk second nature. In a small bowl, I crack open all the eggs a family member is going to eat, for example, the hubby eats four egg whites, and I take the "pluck" I place it over the yolk, one by one and gingerly squeeze it to picks up the yolk, I tip it on it's side to let the whites fall back into the bowl and wala I end up having pure egg whites. The first time I used it I broke the joke as I squeezed too hard. But you get the hand of it right away. I use it every day and I find its worth the $ and the effort. These are smaller than i'd expected when I ordered them, but they work really well when using them. I rinse mine with water before every couple of presses to keep the rice from sticking and tend to use flavored or fried rice with only a little bit of veggie in it with these, and because of their size it's really fun to dip them in sauces and eat them that way.

I've had it for some 4 months now, and use it to make large batches of soup. It has all of the characteristics I was looking for:

1. a reasonably thick wall so it maintains temperatures well

2. non-stick so you can simmer vegetables

3. a glass cover so you can keep an eye on the contents

4. insulated handles (although orange wouldn't have been my first choice of color)

5. just about the largest size I can use on my non-commercial stove

6. a reasonable price considering all of the above

The pricing on most of these big heavy duty non stick pots is just too high. This one is on target and the quality is quite good. I was hesitant to buy any celebrity products for obvious reasons but this one is okay. I owned some cheaper pots from QVC and one expensive one from Circulon and they all peeled badly in just a short period of time. This one appears to be worth the money at this point in time. I do not know how long it will last before the surface starts to flake. This is my first anolon surface but it looks good.
