It's so nice when a simple cooking device is done well. The heating is uniform, the pan is light (read: easy to hold while rinsing) but lies very flat (no runoff of liquids), and nothing sticks (we add butter for the flavor). I like the feel of the soft grip handles but it does get too warm to handle because our gas rangetop shoots heat across and around the edges of the griddle. It was a great way to get my husband to cook for me since there is next to no cleanup involved for his quesadillas and eggs. Lots of space for bacon too although the low rim will permit more splatter than a deeper pan. Enjoy!

Bottom line, you buy one of these mainly to make pancakes. The Anolon Double Burner Griddle is better than a traditional frying pan for pancakes because you can fit more on it at one time, which means less time in the kitchen and more time eating those tasty little crumpets while they're still hot. The kids also get less whiny when you can serve them all at once instead of doling out a few pancakes here and there or worse, serving them all at once when they've gone cold.

Turns out, it's also good at French toast, eggs, bacon, quesadillas and grilled cheese sandwiches. Added bonus: you only have to add butter or oil if you like the flavor, because after owning and using this thing for two months, I have to admit, it truly deserves to be called nonstick (unlike so many "nonsticks" that have disappointed me after the first few uses).

Some might point out that at 10 inches wide, this griddle is too narrow to fit all their breakfast items at once. Well get two, they're a slim profile and lightweight and at about fifteen bucks less than the Circulon, you can probably afford it.

My 22-year-old recipe for Frickin' Fantastic Pancakes:

1 cup Buttermilk, 1 cup flour, 1 egg, 2 Tablespoons oil, 1 Tablespoon sugar, 1 tsp. baking powder, ½ tsp. baking soda, ½ tsp. salt.

Heat your griddle to med-low. Mix ingredients in a large bowl with a balloon whisk until just a few lumps remain (no overworking allowed). Pour on the griddle (you know what size you like) and watch for the bubbles in the center of your pancakes to signal it's time to turn. Flip, cook a few more minutes, serve, and notice how much better this is than that mix stuff.

Works perfectly. We have a Wolf ceramic cooktop and so a decent griddle must be perfectly flat. This is. We've had it for months. It wipes clean in hot water with a once-over with a soapy dishcloth. Nothing sticks. Of course, we take care of it. We don't overheat it and we don't immerse directly into water when it is hot. Our stove has a bridge element between the two round elements and we get perfectly even heat across the griddle within degrees when tested with an infrared thermometer. The handles have silicone or something to insulate them so you can position or move the griddle without grabbing for a hot pad. There is a pour spout at one end for draining bacon or sausage grease. Cook breakfast for a crowd in nothing flat. You can manage 6 hearty pancakes at once or 6 fried eggs can be done to a perfect over-easy without overlapping or crowding. Suddenly I look like a seasoned short-order cook for a house full of company. Solid value. Easily worth more in my opinion.

I have owned two of these pans. The first wore out after several years of daily use. Note that the package says "non-stick" and not "non-stick forever". Eventually, all non-stick pans wear out. Out of the box, this pan is magic. Nothing will stick and it cleans up beautifully. The pan is also nice and thick. I have never had a problem with warping, however heating this pan really hot and then rinsing it in the sink could cause warping. To maximize the life of the pan, be sure to NEVER use aerosol oils such as PAM on the pan. The propellant in the can burns at a lower temperature than the oil, and ends up burning in the pores of the pan surface. It will not take long to destroy the non-stick finish. Also, allow the pan to cool COMPLETELY before washing it to prevent any warpage. No gritty cleaners either. The pan should last for many years and then you can buy another one.

I have a KitchenAid ceramic/glass electric cooktop that has the ability to combine two burners into a single oblong heated surface and have been looking to find a suitable griddle for this burner. This griddle is sized perfectly and seems to be highly recommended, so I gave it a shot. Granted, the manufacturer does not outwardly say that this griddle will work with an electric cooktop, but after reading a few reviews it seemed like a safe bet. Unfortunately the first one I received was warped very badly and did not sit flat on the cooktop (very important for a flat electric stove). I exchanged it for a second griddle, and to my disappointment, it was warped as well. I'm sending it back and will be continuing my search for a griddle.

One thing I think you will like is that the ceramic insert is easy to clean, even with melted chocolate on it.

Well, unfortunately I bought this beautiful EXPENSIVE double boiler. After 3 or 4 years time the handle leaks copious amounts of water out of the bracket holes. I am now told that's part of normal wear and tear and MY problem. At first they told me to mail it to France to have it fixed (from California!) LOL. They told me it needs to be retinned every few years too and that's why mine is leaking. I am very angry. Nobody told me this when I bought it. It also came with cancer warnings because of the handles. I will NEVER again buy any Mauviel product.

I grew up having stuffed bell peppers and then as an adult prepared them for my family. My Mom used a casserole dish to prepare her stuffed peppers and I did as well. It always bothered me that the peppers would fall over losing some of the stuffing, until recently when I read about the Stuffed pepper pan in a magazine. Wow, what an easy solution for making stuffed peppers that kept the stuffing inside. I went to my favorite online store, Amazon, and sure enough they had the pan. I bought 1 pan to try and see if I liked it. I not only liked it but I loved it. Now I am going to buy a second pan and my newly married granddaughter is buying her first Stuffed Pepper Pan. The pan does what it is supposed to do and, even more cleans up easily. Two more suggestions, most stuffed pepper recipies make stuffing for 10 to 12 peppers. First buy a second pan, because you will want one after you try it the first time. Second, don't cut your recipe in half, prepare all the peppers, baking only what you need for the meal and freeze the rest for later meals. If you work it will make your life easier. I have had many bakeware pieces over the years, but I can honestly say this one is my favorite. The price was great and the free shipping and handling was an added bonus. I was also pleasantly surprised how fast I received this item. This bakeware is very large and is perfect for large families and special occasions. All the bakeware colors are beautiful, but I decided on the green because this color would compliment all festive occasions. The clean-up is unbelievable. The first time I used the piece I did not spray with PAM and I thought I made a mistake, but the majority of the baked on food wiped out very easily. There were only a few spots, I used a nylon scrubbie, but there was very little scrubbing needed. The next dish I cooked I used Pam and everything wiped out of the baker without any scrubbing. Besides the easy clean-up, food seems to taste better. I am so impressed with the bakeware that I just ordered the 1 and 1.5 quart bakers. Love everything about the baker, but wish a cover for refrigerator storage was available.

I initially loved this baker, it was large enough for almost anything. However as others have stated some stains were difficult to remove. Also it was not something I would use at a temperature of 425 or more. I rated the item one star because after 5 months, I was baking some garlic bread in the baker and when I tried to pull the pan out of the oven the pan split in half. I never dropped the pan or put it in the dishwasher. The product is defective and I would not recommend.

I've seen the dimensions for this item and it's the same size as my 4.5 quart bubble and brown oval baker. I ordered it from another site, thinking it was a 3 quart as per their listing, but I was sent the 4.5 quart. Even the receipt said it was a 3 quart, but it wasn't. I kept it and I've tried getting the 3 quart size on several different sites and they are all listing this item as a 3 quart, but when you check the dimensions, it is indeed 4.5 quarts. I have a 2.25 quart which is too small to serve 4 people and the 4.5 quart is too large. I find it strange that a 3 quart is not available. Has anyone actually seen a 3 quart? I don't want to order it again and end up with another 4.5 quart. I'd like to know why different sites are erroneously listing this large baker as a 3 quart.

Love this bakeware, its gorgeous and a fantastic size for casseroles or just about anything!

Extremely versatile we've done everything from dips to casseroles to fries to homemade pizza (yep it worked really well) in this thing!

Notes:

it is large so it may be hard to find a place to store this if you don't have a lot of cabinet room.

It can also be tough to clean at times but it is dishwasher safe, I just find that if we've baked something with cheese or a batter that gets on the edges and such that you may have to hand scrub it even after a dishwasher session.

I plan on picking up other bubble n brown items when $ permits!

This was one of the Gold Box REAL Deals that looked so good and was the "Right Price" so I snatched it up. My son and his wife need a good cookware set in place of their yard sale bit and piece set they had settled for. I was planning to surprise them with this new shiny set for Christmas ( as well as other stuff, too). My order came so fast I did not have time to remember on what day I had ordered it. I was expecting a good heavy Stainless steel set, a set that would not warp on the bottom, I just hate those cheap pots and pans that spin or wobble on the eye of the stove. Guess what, I received exactly what I ordered in a very light weight box, I mean I have an iron skillet that weighs more than this whole set including the box and all the packaging. Guess the price was too good to be true.

SAVE your money, go to WalMart pick up a set there cheaper than what I paid here, better yet do like the kids did and pick up really good pieces at yard, estate or Divorce sales. They might not match, but they will cook much better and evenly than this imported set of imitation cookware. Besides who really cares if one pot is red or stainless as long as the tops fit!!

I've read the reviews on this set by other buyers who stomped on this set as being cheap and awful, yet most kept it. I've spent over thirty dollars for one stainless steel saucepan, so what quality should I expect for a set??? Well first of all, the measurements are posted correctly. It is a small set. It is medium weight Stainless steel with encapsulated bottoms. It is meant for low to medium cooking. Although it could easily take high heat, even the high priced Pieces will eventually darken a bit with high temperatures or even warp. My (real) T-Fal began to darken and became unusable in less than a year.

The lids are heavy tempered glass. Stainless does not mean non-stick. I use Pam to fry and it passed the fried egg test, no sticking LOL. The set is from China, so what else is new. Even famous Brands are manufacturing in China. It is in fact a good looking, working copy of High end Stainless cookware. Stainless requires a little more scrubbing on the outside after a while. I use the metal scrubbers available in stores, but cleanup is easy. If you watch TV chef programs you'll see Professional Chefs using Stainless pans with gloves or towels, when the handles are hot. (Emeril), yet I have cooked with this set and the handles are warm but have not gotten burning hot. My last set of Stainless lasted me for years and I even passed it on to a friend.

There's something really impressive about the stoneware that Le Creuset makes these cups weigh about the same as every other mug of similar size, but they're practically indestructible. These guys just refuse to ever chip, crack, or stain, and that is *awesome*.

My only sort-of-a-nit: These are just a little bit smaller than I was expecting. It took me a little while to adjust my pouring technique to avoid the cup overflowing, but it turns out that the end result is still a delightful cappuccino. Probably even better. :-)

Wanted some of the smaller ovenproof ceramic leftovers containers to throw directly (minus the cover) into microwave after refrigerator storage instead of the Tupperware or Ziplok plastics because these latter don't hold up well to oils in foods and become either mishapened or stained, even with 'lowest power' heating cycles, over time. We've had ORIGINAL Corning French White items for over 30 years and these have stood the test of time. These aren't those. This 'Corning' is actually just the purchased/leased trademark that World Kitchens is using (also Sunbeam, etc, I believe) to ride on the coattails of the original Corning Glass Works quality reputation. These have the rubber/plastic covers, too, but they are NOT sized properly to fit 'airtight' for effective containment. They are off measure by about 1/8th inch in the diameter too big. This is also the same problem with their 7pc set which I also purchased for someone else. One (the larger) of the two rubber/plastic covers for the two different sized casseroles was defective in this regard. See that review, too. Not worth the money, unless you don't care about using the covers. We're looking into Pyrex products for better satisfaction for our needs. Maybe Amazon should drop this company's products to avoid disappointing its customers?

I am pleased with my purchase. I use them for baking an egg casserole ahead of time and then take to work to reheat in the microwave. They are perfect for this. I rated it four stars as one was slightly chipped on the underside of the lip. This was not caused from shipping as they were packaged very well. I did not return it as it wasn't worth the hassle, and I might chip it myself through constant use.

These ramekins are just the right size for a generous serving of custard, etc.

The lids stay on, but are not tight, so liquid would spill out if a cup tipped over. Plastic wrap would be a better protection to keep the contents from drying out. The prices here seems to fluctuate.

I love the large sunflower lid cover. I hate using plastic wrap and foil. The person who said this product doesn't work is wrong. I put it on my largest glass bowl and the seal is so tight that it lifted the whole bowl. I want to buy one for all of friends and different sizes for myself.

I bought one of these in a local store and loved it so much I went back to find more. Not enough variety, so I went on Amazon and bought here.

Gave one to my sister when I went to visit. She said her husband was occupied for half the night trying it on various bowls/vases/cups... The amazing thing is that you just put it on the bowl and can immediately lift the whole bowl just by pulling up on the center flower, but if you lift from the edge, you'd swear that there was no seal at all.

Yesterday, my nephew and his fiance stopped by my sister's house to borrow a tennis racquet. My sister said he, too, spent 20 minutes playing with it. His birthday is coming up soon...

I haven't actually used it to keep food fresh yet, but enjoy looking at them hanging on the fridge.

The design of this product is awful. It's tacky, which means it attracts dust and dirt. But it DOES NOT WORK. this doesn't stick to any surface glass, metal, etc. I have tried a variety of bowls and glasses and it just sits on top it does not form a seal. The only use for this product is to cover foods in the microwave.

I was so excited to get this since it was so affordable, I thought! But you get what you pay for! This smelled like enamel, so I don't know what type they use. It didn't smell completely safe, though! It looks like only one layer of enamel and you can see the metal through it with imperfections in the iron peaking though. The edges are rough and uneven. I bought one 11" Lodge enamel pan for about the same price as this and it was worth that and more! The Lodge has excellent quality!

I bought this thinking it would be safer than the typical Teflon pan and easier to clean than a cast iron but after a month it literally exploded on the stove and I had to shove my daughter out of the kitchen to keep her from getting hit by the pieces.

I tried to return it but Amazon will not accept it back because it's been more than 30 days. I feel completely cheated. This was not only bad quality because it exploded but it was clearly cheaply made as it was very light (not like a cast iron pan should be) so I suspect there is very little cast iron in it at all.

DO NOT PURCHASE THISthe Lodge cookware, it may be more expensive at first but since I'll have to buy Lodgeware now to replace this hunk of junk I'm very sorry I didn't just buy it in the first place.

I purchased these pans about a week ago, and I've been making scrambled eggs in the largest one every single day since I bought them. This morning I put the eggs in like normal and walked over to the sink to grab a cutting board; thank goodness I turned away because I heard a LOUD POP and then another LOUD POP. I jumped out of my skin. The enamel had exploded off quite violently, and there was enamel shrapnel all over the stovetop and contaminating all of my food. I bought these pans to get away from using toxic Teflon but exploding enamel is hardly safer.

I purchased these in 2008 and one of the skillets exploded on the first use. There were tiny shards of glass all over my kitchen and in our dinner. I tried to file a safety hazard report with Amazon, but couldn't make it through all the legal disclosures. I wasn't able to return them as I waited longer than 30 days to use them. We threw them in the trash. I have several Lodge and Le Creuset enameled pans that I have used for years without any problems. I saw these today while searching for something else. I'm surprised they are still being sold. Please don't buy these.

I have three of the non-stick hard enamel frying pans from T-Fal now. It is deeper and has a lid but otherwise it is the same type of pan as this one: T-fal E6080862 Ultimate Nonstick Hard Enamel 12.5-Inch Fry Pan / Saute Pan, Black. I like it that it does not have Teflon but is still non-stick. It is a fairly heavy pan which does not warp like cheaper ones. You would expect that all cookware nowadays is dishwasher safe but it is not (including many T-fal products). However, this one is dishwasher safe. This pan is basically an extra deep frying pan with a lid. I find it as easy to use as a normal frying pan without the extra the depth. However, the extra depth is handy when I sautee bulky stuff like spinach. The bottom has a thermo-spot heat indicator which I never use and find a useless feature (it basically tells you that the pan is hot). In additon, the red heat indicator darkens over time and looses therefore its effectiveness.

T-fal makes good pans and I'm sure this one will perform well. However, I specifically chose this product because of the image (I never do this, but the advertised measurements were "13.8 x 21.5 x 10.6 inches"). Huh?! What were they measuring??!! Not one measurement given corresponds to this product.

What I need is a standard frying pan with a glass lid to steam/fry eggs. This one has fairly tall sides making it difficult to use a flat turner. ACTUAL dimensions are: 10" outside diameter (8.5" diameter cooking surface), handle is 7.8" long, sides are 2.3" high and perfectly vertical, overall height to top of lid handle is 5.75". I hope including these REAL measurements is helpful.

I would give this product 5 stars, but the poor measurements made it very difficult to select and now that I have it, I'm disappointed that the sides aren't sloped like the picture seems to indicate. I even went to the T-fal site and they had even less information so I don't blame Amazon at all.

This 10-inch fry pan with lid, from Amazon, makes it easy to create a perfect omelette. The lid fits tight so that the top of the omelette cooks along with the bottom. After a bit of practice I can now flip a six-egg omelette in the T-Fal without any breaks to the omelette. 6 eggs! That makes making an omelette fun!

Are you clueless about cooking but wish to impress your perspective mate?

Recently divorced, never had to do the cooking until now?

Just wondering, what the **** do I buy, there's so many choices!!!

If you are among the clueless-panless, I suggest that you get two pans: this one, for your eggs, omelets, pancakes, stir fry's, etc AND a nonstick, 2 quart saucepan (with vented lid) for your rice, ramen noodles, spaghetti, and macaroni and cheese. Make sure they have the coated handles so you don't burn yourself.

I accidentally bought this pan at 2am while I was drinking, in place of a covered frying pan. This one is like a frying pan only deeper. Sure glad I got this one though because those raised sides come in handy! 10 inches is the perfect size.

Ever since I moved in with the boyfriend, I instantly lost my ability to cook. I am a nonstick gal and he is a cast-iron man. Old pans went with the ex. The start of a burn-everything, question my ability era of culinary preparation. No offense to those who truly know how to handle a cast-iron pan, but I am the kind of cook who throws everything together in 5 minutes, heats that stuff up and hopes it turns out edible.

This new pan renewed my interest in cooking because it was so easy to use! The thermo spot tells you that you have to heat the pan before throwing food in it, not after. Who knew? The box also reassured me that no matter how stupid you are, you CAN use metal cookware. Better to use plastic, but you can get away with it. Doesn't like to be stabbed with a knife though, don't gouge the poor thing.

The first time I cooked with the pan, I went into a blank-stare trance for who knows how long and when I came out of it, the food wasn't burned and wasn't stuck to the bottom. Impressive! (-: yes, the batteries in my smoke detector are new, thanks for your concern :-)

Here's a recipe to get you started:

Couscous...it's a fun kind of food, little balls of joy

Some veggies...maybe red peppers, onions.

Portabella mushroom cut into chunks (or if you're not a vegetarian, get some precooked meat...salmon in a can maybe)

Braggs liquid amino

Olive oil

1. Put a splash of olive oil in the pan. Pour a cup or two of couscous in there and brown that stuff up.

2. Toss the veggies and mushrooms in, add some splashes of Braggs (not to much though, it's salty)

3. Add about a cup or two of water

4. Cover with the top, put on some Reggae, and cook for about 10 minutes until the water is gone. Stir a couple of times intermittently too.

Eat. This should taste ok depending on your standards.

I am thinking about spending some time learning how to really cook, now that the food doesn't stick and burn.

I really can't see anything wrong with this pan, it's perfect and much better than any other pan I've had in the past. Also, if you are so concerned with nonstick cookware and ingesting it when it flakes off down the road, just know that the company put a bunch of trees and green symbols on the box so that means it's ok. But seriously, they DID say that if you ingest it, it passes right through the body unabsorbed, like that Taco Bell you had last night. So don't get your panties all in a knot.

I have been using this pan for over a year and it has held up very well. T-Fal has lots of pans so look for the ones with the 'techno resist base' as they are a higher quality than some others. Look for the pattern on the base pictured with this product and you will be happy. I mostly wash by hand as I have read that dishwashers are very hard on non stick surfaces and want these to last. This pan was the first I tried and I went back to the big box store and picked up two others in different sizes. I use them every day. Read the instructions just cuz they are non stick doesn't mean they should be used without any oil. I put a small amount of EVOO in the bottom before I cook anything. I have retired the Farberware I received when I got married and am not looking back.

...you realize that the "X5" isn't a model number, unless you plan on wearing this out quickly or you have four friends that you need odd stocking stuffers for, because otherwise you'll be annoyed to find out it means "times five". I only needed one. Otherwise, it's a decent enough product...nothing fancy, just functional and durable.

I gave this a neutral rating (because you have to give one) but this is a comment, not a review of the product. I have been living in Russia for the past 7 years for work; they have blini's here which is the same thing as a crepe (as far as I'm concerned). Anyway, I have never seen them (Russian's) make blini's (crepes) with a tool like this. They have fast food type places here that sell blini's and you see them making them out in the open. They have them in the malls, and even little huts on the street; so I see this almost every day. Anyway, the tool they use to form the blini is similar to this, but rather than the front end being flat, it's round (like the handle of this one, only a little larger in diameter). My intuition tells me that the design shown here would cause the batter to pile up on the flat side (maybe even roll over the top, creating a mess); the round ones help to redistribute the batter (I think). I'm sure the design shown here can work but I it probably takes more practice than the round ones. You can find one like I have described on Amazon if you search using the word "Blini", but the seller wants like $9 bucks for it plus $4 for shipping (not Prime eligible)... pretty steep for a couple pieces of dowel rod stuck together.

Reading the reviews I see that there are mixed feelings about this crepe stick; some love it, some couldn't get it to work, one person hasn't used it but doesn't think it would work. As a pastry chef, I have worked a crepe station every day for a good year now, always with the T shaped spreader. Got decent results, pretty good results. One day the manager gets this other kind of stick. Huh. It dragged in the batter, made a mess...I didn't care for it but didn't want it to get the best of me. So I went on YouTube, and saw all these people using this product to make bigger, badder crepes than I was able to make with my old T stick. So I gave it another chance. With an hours practice, my crepes were better than ever! Bigger rounder thinner, more uniform in thickness--all this with the same quantity of batter. Better quality. You have to hold it at a different angle, and you have to move it a little faster, but the results are worth it!! I think it's worth the higher price and I hope they sell it in a metal version. (The wooden ones warp after a while.)

total waste of money. very difficult to maneuver to make an evenly spread crepe. When I purchased my crepe maker, a T shaped spreader came with it, and that one is much easier to use.

I bought this thinking that it would be ok for a 10" crepe pan but I didn't bother looking at the size first. I ended up having to cut them to fit my pan. Works great and long handle makes for easier wrist movement.

Can't speak to durability as of yet since we haven't had it a long while, but it is of good quality and can't be beat for versatility. I was a bit skeptical about buying cookware that I can not hold and inspect first. But the price was good and I decided to go out on a limb and try it. I have a family of 6 and am always using countless pots and pans to cook a meal large enough to feed the whole family. Well let me tell you this, this thing is big, and I mean big. The cooking area on this is amazing. You read about the size, but don't realize how big this is until you have in your hand. I can finally cook a meal all in one piece of cookware...I love it. I cook over gas and it cooks and heats evenly throught the whole pan, no hot or cold spots. I was able to brown and cook 6 breasts of chicken at one time, with room to spare. Yes the item is made in China, yes there is no Thermospot (however if you know how to cook not a big deal), but the construction seems good and the pan does have some good weight to it. This is definately a piece of cookware to have in you household if you need to cook large portion meals for a big family.

My T-Fal set of pots & pans didn't include this jumbo cooker, but right away I saw we needed this. It's great for big batch cooking like chili or stovetop meals. I like to cook up enough in one batch to save cooking later in the week.

This has most of the features I wanted: extra handle so you can use two hands to lift it when full, non-stick interior, even heat base, glass lid so I can see the progress of the cooking. I do wish it had the red dot in the center to tell me when the pan is properly preheated. You need to use plastic or wooden spoons or stirers with this surface.

This is a great pan for those of us who are not cookware snobs. If you go in with high expectations you might be disappointed; this is not a $100 pan and it shouldn't be compared to one. Yes, it is a little thinner and lighter than a top-of-the line cookware product, but so what. It works great and is perfect for everyday use. It is very versatile from frying eggs to cooking several pieces of chicken at the same time. It is very roomy in diameter and depth. The lighter weight of the pan makes it not too heavy to lift when food is in it. It cooks surprisingly evenly and because it is lighter weight, you can cook at a lower temperature = less electricity or gas = saving $$. The lid is a great addition to keep things warm and having two handles makes lifting very easy. There have been absolutely no problems with this nothing broken, nothing coming loose. The handles are riveted so there is nothing to come unscrewed. My only recommendation is to follow the instructions that come with it. Don't use metal or hard plastic utensils that will scratch, don't use scouring pads, and don't soak it with dishwasher detergent, which eats at the coating. I ordered this off Amazon because I had a gift card and got free shipping, but this pan is available in stores too. If you live in the Midwest, Meijer sells it for $25 and a couple weeks ago I noticed it on sale for $20. 4/30/2011

We purchased this 5 quart cooker based on it's size and the fact that it shipped with a lid. This pan has not disappointed us. It is quite large, in fact we had to clear out a special spot in our cabinets for it. Over the last three months it has worked as expected. The non-stick surface is functioning well and we have not had any issues with scratches or sticky food.

I don't miss the red dot that is on most of the T-Fal products mainly because I know how to cook and I know when a pan is at the correct temperature for what I am making.

I would have preferred a metal lid because I am fearful one day I will either drop the glass lid or it will break being banged around in the cabinets. Being able to see what is covered isn't a necessity because I know when my recipes are done. I don't lift the lid except when I am stirring.

If you are like me and prefer buying inexpensive cookware and replacing it more often (every 3-4 years) rather than over paying for expensive equipment and hope it lasts then this is a great pan for you. Granted this doesn't beat a comparably sized cast iron pan, but it is a nice addition when you want a non-stick surface.
