I recently bought two of the Island Bamboo silicone products (this spoon and the basting brush). I like them, and I've replaced my old wooden spoon with this one.
+ The silicone heads pop off, so you can wash them in the dishwasher without the handles (the silicone would also be easy to hand-wash)
+ They're inexpensive
+ They look pretty good
+ The handles are relatively lightweight
I definitely prefer this spoon to wooden or nylon spoons. It's hard to believe that a person can actually get excited to use a spoon, but this thing is great! NOTHING sticks to it. Nothing! It's easy to clean, can be used to stir hot, cold, sticky, or dry food, and just keeps looking brand new. The handle is really firm and comfortable to hold. It's so great, I went back and ordered several more different size spoons, a spatula, and a basting brush. They're all fabulous.

Buy Noritake Colorwave Sugar Bowl with Cover
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $50.00
Sale Price: $38.02

I bought the whole set of Noritake Colorwave in chocolate, and I love, love, love the set! The outside is a dull finish, the inside has shine, and the two finishes complement each other perfectly. Food doesn't stick, yet the dishes aren't slippery to the touch. They're pretty to look at and sturdy as well. Everything arrived in perfect condition and in a timely fashion. I couldn't be happier.

If you have already purchased the noritake colorwave dish sets, then this sugar bowl is a great investment. The only downfall is not having a place for the sugar bowl spoon. I was hoping to not have to set a spoon next to the sugar bowl for every serving, but it really isn't that big of a deal. Otherwaise, this is a good product I would not hesitate in purchasing a second for family or friends.Sunday, November 16, 2014

This is an awesome and functional set for a family, and my last set (identical to this one except for the lids) has lasted more than 8 years.
I recently picked up a few new T-fal pieces and really like the new glass lids that are included with this one. Maybe I'm a nosy cook, but being able to see inside is a huge advantage.
The pans are are practical sizes, and the set gives you almost everything you need for a kitchen. The one pan this set is missing is a Saute or Chicken pan, but those are hard to find I had to buy mine separately. However, until I found one (T-fal, of course), I used the deeper pot.
The key to using T-fal is to make sure you never heat it on anything other than a medium flame. A higher temperature will cause the T-fal to burn and you will slowly erode its ability to be nonstick. Also, if you use a dishwasher, you will need to season it again after using it a few times. The dishwashing soap will also cause your exterior to lose its gloss, although it won't impact the nonstick nature.
Also, while it is possible to use metal implements on it, it can get scratched over time, so I recommend wood or plastic.

I got these as a gift for myself and I am really enjoying them. I've only had them for a month, but I use them every day for everything from making crepes and pancakes to stew and steaming broccoli. This was one of the Gold Box REAL Deals that looked so good and was the "Right Price" so I snatched it up. My son and his wife need a good cookware set in place of their yard sale bit and piece set they had settled for. I was planning to surprise them with this new shiny set for Christmas ( as well as other stuff, too). My order came so fast I did not have time to remember on what day I had ordered it. I was expecting a good heavy Stainless steel set, a set that would not warp on the bottom, I just hate those cheap pots and pans that spin or wobble on the eye of the stove. Guess what, I received exactly what I ordered in a very light weight box, I mean I have an iron skillet that weighs more than this whole set including the box and all the packaging. Guess the price was too good to be true.
SAVE your money, go to WalMart pick up a set there cheaper than what I paid here, better yet do like the kids did and pick up really good pieces at yard, estate or Divorce sales. They might not match, but they will cook much better and evenly than this imported set of imitation cookware. Besides who really cares if one pot is red or stainless as long as the tops fit!!
The lids are heavy tempered glass. Stainless does not mean non-stick. I use Pam to fry and it passed the fried egg test, no sticking LOL. The set is from China, so what else is new. Even famous Brands are manufacturing in China. It is in fact a good looking, working copy of High end Stainless cookware. Stainless requires a little more scrubbing on the outside after a while. I use the metal scrubbers available in stores, but cleanup is easy. If you watch TV chef programs you'll see Professional Chefs using Stainless pans with gloves or towels, when the handles are hot. (Emeril), yet I have cooked with this set and the handles are warm but have not gotten burning hot. My last set of Stainless lasted me for years and I even passed it on to a friend.

Don't buy this item! I bought a set and my skillet got very warped while frying a hamburger with the this piece of junk. The metal is very thin and chinzy.Best Deals for Cuisine Select Landon 7-Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set
I've read the reviews on this set by other buyers who stomped on this set as being cheap and awful, yet most kept it. I've spent over thirty dollars for one stainless steel saucepan, so what quality should I expect for a set??? Well first of all, the measurements are posted correctly. It is a small set. It is medium weight Stainless steel with encapsulated bottoms. It is meant for low to medium cooking. Although it could easily take high heat, even the high priced Pieces will eventually darken a bit with high temperatures or even warp. My (real) T-Fal began to darken and became unusable in less than a year. The lids are heavy tempered glass. Stainless does not mean non-stick. I use Pam to fry and it passed the fried egg test, no sticking LOL. The set is from China, so what else is new. Even famous Brands are manufacturing in China. Buy Cuisinart 66-10 Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 10-Piece
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $400.00
Sale Price: $134.86
Today's Bonus: 66% Off

I bought the 10 piece Cuisinart set about a month ago and ever since I've been expecting it to fall to pieces, burst, turn to dust, explode, vanish in thin air, etc. etc... anything that would give me a reason for the low price of 140$ which is 400$ in stores. The truth is, it's too good to be true. But it is! This is the best cookware set I have ever seen by far. Nothing will ever be able to stick to these lovely pots and pans, no matter what you do, so be ready to say goodbye to all the non-stick sprays, oil, butter and soaking and scratching. They don't even need harsh soaps for a moderate cleaning up. It is true that they can burn food, but the instructions say that these are not meant to be used at high stove-top heats anyway, use a low to mid heat and everything will turn up wonderful. They are really good for slow cooking and can also go in the oven up to 500 degrees, which is required for some food I like to make. The glass lids are useful when making rice or seeing the color of vegetables but they can spill if nor handled properly due to the design, which could certainly improve since they are, unlike the pots, not very easy to clean. My handles have never got too hot unlike my previous Faberware set. I adore the small skillet which is just the right size for a 2 egg french omlete, in general, the sizes are logical and all come in handy. It does say they are metal utensil safe, which is not exactly true since it's OK with a fork or spoon, but any hand held electronic gadget can scratch the interior a little. Also, although the dark gray outer finish is beautiful, it seems that the colour will be wearing of in time.
To sum it up, if you're willing to give some extra attention to this good-looking set (drying after hand washing, preferably hanging and keeping the lids clean) this is a deal you must not miss. BTW, It arrived very quickly and was packed great by Amazon. You won't be able to use any piece in this set at high stove top heats, so get a cheap large skillet for that kind of job, give away your old set and buy this one like I did. I doubt anyone will ever regret it. I would give 4 1/2 stars if I could due to the not-so-good lid design facor. Still, I love my cookware set, will probably be using it for at least 10 years to come and recommend it fully to anybody.
EDIT AFTER 6 YEARS
I've just gave away this set after 6 years of daily use. So, they didn't last for 10 years as I was predicting in my initially overly psyched review, but I still think it was a great deal for the price. Now that I have more money to spend and need a more professional level cookware set, I've replaced them with stainless steel Fissler pots and pans, which in my opinion, are the best you can get for any price, anywhere.
My main complaint with the Cuisinart cookware is they heat up very quickly due to the thin 3 mm thickness. The fry pans are the weakest items of the set. After side-by-side comparisons against Emeril's All-Clad Hard Anodized, I much prefer the Emeril brand. The Emeril pans are 5 mm thick and seem to cook more evenly and are not near as temper-mental as the Cuisinarts. They also have a feel of quality, unlike the Cuisinart pans.
For not much more money, I would look at the higher quality Emeril Hard Anodized 10 piece set (retails for $200); and sorry Amazon, the best deals for Emerilware are currently using one of those 20% off coupons at Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens N Things.
Pros:
Excellent heat conduction. Stays hot, cooks evenly, and transfer from oven to stovetop and back is very convenient. Good, tough pots and pans at a great value. I like the large skillet and pots, especially.
Cons:
The nonstick coating is not really there anymore for the two frying pans. Though these have never been in the dishwasher or been scrubbed with anything heavier than a sponge, the nonstick coating has slowly burned off in patches, and now, though it hasn't peeled or flaked, there are spots where the food will stick and nonstick spray or oil must be used. Unless I use some kind of spray, pancakes, for instance, must be made in the large 2-handled skillet.
This is a pity because I was very careful not to overheat the pans--they have really been babied. I will probably buy Cuisinart again, but these two pans will need to be replaced within a few months. They are not really useful anymore for anything except veggie burger patties.
Quantanium is not safe over 500 degrees F. It does contain PTFE, the same chemical in Teflon, which is potentially carcinogenic. Fumes from cooking are harmful to animals. And lastly, the non-stick layer is very thin, and will eventually come of. I bought my set thinking I was getting hard-anodized aluminum for a steal, but it seems you DO have to ante up for Calphalon or a more expensive brand to get the real stuff.

I have had the similar 7 piece set for about a month and have had a chance to use them enough to have an opinion. They are well balanced and perform well, especially the sauce pans and stock pot. The 8 quart stock pot is large enough for a family of 4-6. Cuisinart advertises you can use metal utensils, but when you read their recommended use card, it says metal utensil will scratch the surface. That is a misleading marketing gimmick in my opinion. My main complaint with the Cuisinart cookware is they heat up very quickly due to the thin 3 mm thickness. The interior of the pans is NOT anodized aluminum, but "Quantanium". It's an excellent non-stick surface, and so far my set works fine. However, if you're concerned about overheated Teflon and the chemicals being released into your food, you'll have to pay more to get a real anodized aluminum set.Quantanium is not safe over 500 degrees F. I'm actually buying one for my neighbor because she's looking for a good press.

You get what you pay for was never truer. This very flimsy item broke on it's fist use. The turning mechanism broke easily and the screw would not turn the blade inside, so the patties stick inside and need to be scraped out. It could still be used as a big cookie cutter.Sunday, June 15, 2014

The whole design and idea is very cute, but what I didn't like was when I poured the egg into the mold, the egg didnt just say in the mold like the picture, but sorta "leaked" from little parts from below the mold didnt lay completely flat on the ground. Other than that I am happy with my product :)

Discount Fox Run 5-Piece Stainless Steel Biscuit Cutter Set
These are wonderful! I use one size constantly for biscuits. They take abuse, do not lose their shape & clean up in the dishwasher.
As an experiment, I used all 5 sizes for a batch of biscuits. There was no difference in height between the smallest biscuits and the largest biscuits. I kept reading to make biscuits smaller to get them to rise more, and this just isn't true from my experiment. Use whatever size you need for the biscuits you want to make. I usually use the second large biscuit cutter as it is a responsible serving size and a nice sized biscuit.
The cutters are thin enough that they cut well pressing straight down with no twisting, and sturdy enough you don't have to worry about them flexing.
The largest cutter in the set might be barely large enough for a breakfast sandwich, so you might shop for just a 3" or larger cutter by itself if you are looking to make sandwiches.

I really like this biscuit cutter set not only for its appealing design and utility but also for the fact that it takes up very little storage space in the Teeny Tiny Kitchen. I use the little metal chain clasp that came with it to keep the set together so that the pieces don't get separated and lost.Best Deals for Fox Run 5-Piece Stainless Steel Biscuit Cutter Set
Professional set. Sturdy stainless steel rings. Lots of sizes to choose from. A real hit with the wife. =PHonest reviews on Fox Run 5-Piece Stainless Steel Biscuit Cutter Set
Nice quality stainless steel, come in a wide variety of sizes. My only complaint is I don't see the smallest 2 or 3 sizes being useful. I would prefer the larger cutters only and save a little money.

This Chef's pan is identical to the Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-Inch Wok with Dome Lid except the Chef's pan has two short handles instead of one short and one long handle; the Chef's pan is 5 ply instead of 3 ply like the wok, and the Chef's pan weighs 13 ounces more than the WOK.
This Chef's pan weighs 4 lbs and 14 ounces. The Wok weighs 4 lbs and 1 ounce.
In short,
Chef pan = 5 ply, 2 short handles, weighs 4 lbs 14 oz.
Wok = 3 ply, 1 short handle, 1 long handle, weighs 4 lbs 1 oz.
I own both the wok and the chef's pan. If I had it to do over I would have bought another wok instead because it is lighter in weight. The advantage of the Chef's pan is that there is no long handle to get in your way. I really wish the company made a Chef's pan in 3 ply instead of the heaver 5 ply.
Both pans are nice and at this price point well worth the investment.
The packing, delivery of the product were all impeccable.
I love to just look at it and I love to use it. It sits solidly on my stove top as kitchen decor yes, it is that pretty.
I read the other reviews before I bought it, yet I didn't realise that it would be too large for a one to two-person meal. Silly me.
Although it is a big pan, for me, it is a plus that there is no long handle to encumber the rest of the stove-top space.
Wish they would make a smaller version of it though.

I use this as a wok and it works great with my induction range. It heats up fast. As some reviewers say, it is a little on the heavy side. I have stir-fried tofu in it and some of it does get stuck on the bottom (but they stick to non-stick pans too). So far, (I've been using it for only two weeks) cleaning up is not a problem. Soaking, boiling some water in it, scraping with a non-abrasive sponge, using non-chlorine cleaners like Bar Keeper's Friend products all do a good job. I am happy with my choice. The packing, delivery of the product were all impeccable.

heavy, solid, quality pan that works on my induction cooktop!. Also ordered two of the 13 inch steamer basket that fit perfectly. I steamed a complete meal for 6 people composed of veges and diced potatoes around a center bowl of rice with water on the bottom steamer and salmon steak with a olive oil rub, s/p, chopped scallions and thin lemon slices on the top steamer. Perfection!! have also steamed homemade tamales and embutido! So glad I ordered these!Honest reviews on Cooks Standard NC-00238 Multi-Ply Clad 5-Ply Stainless Steel Chef's
Bought this for stir fry but it has so many uses and I find it is the first pan I reach for most nights. It has deep sides to prevent getting "popped" when cooking at the high temps required for stir fry or deep frying. It's 5-ply stainless perfectly conducts the heat, and doesn't make the pan too heavy to lift. It has a flat bottom, and I love the well fitting domed lid. It truly is an all-purpose pan, and makes the perfect wok for use on my ceramic top range. I hand wash all my pots and pans because i want to keep the finish shiny, but it is listed as dishwasher safe. The handles are sturdily riveted and secure. I owe several other Cook's Standard pans and you can't beat them for value and longevity. I highly recommend this pan to anyone wanting a wok or very versatile chef's pan. It would make the perfect wedding gift or housewarming present.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Cooks Standard NC-00238 Multi-Ply Clad 5-Ply Stainless Steel Chef's
