Love it! Even more beauitful than the picture! Possibly the most beautiful peice in the collection. Colors are clear and bright. Peice has a nice feel to it. It is small though. You're not going to be able to bake a nice big casserole in it to take and show off your gorgeous dish.

First let me say that this is a very useful dish for casseroles, and large dishes. It is ovensafe and dishwasher safe. I always try to spray it with Pam before I bake in it, but you don"t have to.

This is an exceptionally beautiful dish. The scallops and flowers are done in an extremely artistic way. This is a dish you would want to take to a covered dish party (Just be careful that someone doesn't take it when you are not looking!!) I just love the Lenox Butterfly Meadow Pattern products. I bought this because I am doing freezer meals now. I read the reviews on many stock pots and chose this one because it sounded like it was constructed well, and I wanted stainless steel. I wanted enough room to make many batches of stew at once or stock with several chickens. I am really happy with the quality, it has pretty smooth connections where the handles are attached, the handles feel good in my hand which is important because this is a heavy pot!!! The lid made funny sounds the first time I used it I was afraid it would shatter! But I think it was just adjusting the the handle. I have made 2 things in it so far and I love it! You will need a large storage spot, too big to leave on the stove. I keep mine in the linen closet.

So far so good for this behemoth! I just used mine for making a cooked brine and then submerged a 20 lb. turkey in it for our Thanksgiving Day feast which it accommodated easily. Worked and performed beautifully! The bottom is quite thick and sturdy. It is of tri-ply construction like its much more expensive brethren with a layer of heat conducting aluminum sandwiched between 2 layers of stainless steel. Also, like some of the MUCH MORE expensive stocks available on the market--this pot is not just made of "heavy guage" stainless steel, it IS 18/10 stainless steel. This is specified on the box it arrives in but for some reason is NOT listed on the product description here on Amazon which it should be! Why is that??? This was one of the key issues which caused me to repeatedly hesitate to commit to ordering it. If it had stated from the get-go that it is 18/10, I'm sure I would have ordered it immediately after doing only half as much research.

Anyway, I am more than pleased that I now at long last have a high-quality stock pot which will fill a variety of needs in my kitchen after having wasted money on a few cheaper stocks which only lasted once or twice before falling apart. Only one drawback that I can see so far: It is quite large but hey....it IS a 24 qt. stock pot so what do you expect? I DID absolutely make sure of course to measure the interior dimensions of my fridge BEFORE committing to ordering it as I knew it would be pointless to order it in my case if I couldn't find a way to squeeze it in there. I had to remove one of my side door compartments while putting it in and taking it out, but I expected that. Once it was in though, I was able to put the compartment back on the door and everything closed up just fine! So, if you are planning to use it to brine--just make absolutely sure you measure your fridge area first.

I will of course also have to store it in one of my closets when not in use as it will not fit anywhere in the storage kitchen areas---but that is a very small price to pay for such a high-quality kitchen item at a price that is a steel for what you get.

I see that a few others have commented on the looseness of the glass lid. Although I can understand the reason for this criticism, so far it really is not an issue in my short experience with it and seems purposeful in the overall design and construction. Perhaps this may be an issue later on, but I have so far used it for both hot and cold cooking and the lid has not been an issue at any time.

Order with confidence! GREAT kitchen product at a more than fair price!

Ok, given the pricepoint and the whole online thing I was not expecting a pot too thick but this one is amazing. Very thick at the base large perfect for brewing 5 gallon batches of beer. It came in one day when I ordered two day shipping and was an unexpected suprise.

I just can't rave enough about the quality. Just perfect, I have used a lot of large pots for different catering and events this one is head and shoulders better then the thin metal ones.

I love this griddle! The encapsulated/ribbed bottom heats evenly and nothing sticks! I have always had trouble with bacon sticking and tearing in other griddles, but not this one. It also works great for cooking burgers. I can cook at low temperatures to prevent over-browning, and yet it still cooks quickly and thoroughly. It is easy to clean and if there are any grease marks left over, I simply add a little distilled vinegar to the wash water. I don't mind that the encapsulated bottom (in the shape of a circle) doesn't go end to end, it covers plenty of space and doesn't have any ill-effects on your cooking or the outcome of it. My only regret is that I didn't find this griddle earlier.

My mother bought this for me after she bought one herself and loved it. She's a housewife and a crazy good cook, so she liked trying out the different recipes that the website offers. I am a college student and a pretty lazy/impatient one too, and this tray takes all the annoying parts out of cooking. I love crisp steamed veggies that you get at restaurants and this does a fantastic job of recreating that in my lonely apartment kitchen. I've even divulged a few times in making some entrees with it too. It's a big help when you want to eat healthy but just don't want to do the "cooking" portion of it. My favorite part of this is how delicious green beans and asparagus turn out when I use this steam tray. Crunchy, but not raw. Perfectly delicious.. I think it's a good buy if you're a poor college student who has to cook on their own, and also if you're a busy (or not busy, just love to cook) mom/wife/dad/husband who has to make food all the time for their family. I got this as a gift in Feb '13. For 2 months I loved, LOVED this product. Used it almost everyday.... I steamed things, baked things, it was so easy. Veggies were crisp, but cooked. Meats were juicy & tender. Cleaning (if you don't have a dishwasher is annoying). BUT..... at about the 3 month mark, it started to smell more and more "plastic"... a weird silicon-ish version. And then it made my Veggies pick up this taste too. #*$@&(##$*$$ SIGH!!! Thankfully they are letting me exchange it. But, they & I have no idea why it got strange in the first place. My only guess is that it says it can withstand heat up to approx 220C which is about 420F. Sometimes I'll cook meat in the toaster oven at about 400, but never more than that. Maybe it couldn't handle it?? **TEAR**

I am in love with Lekue. I bought this steamer in addition to the Lekue Ogya, which is unfortunately not yet being sold on Amazon. The design is so smart that you can easily strain out leftover water without having to open it up or burning your fingers: just tilt it to the side and the water will stream through the cracks.

I have not used the tray insert at all yet, because I use this as a regular dish: it fits two sliced apples or two sliced potatoes, so it's a bit lower than expected. The Ogya I have is green, but I bought this one in red and would recommend the red color if you ever plan on using tomato sauce with it!!

Quick recipes I love:

1: Thinly spread outmeal on the bottom, slice two apples and spread stevi or a Tsp of sugar over it, and nuke the whole thing for 10 minutes.

2: Slice 2 potatoes and spread out layers of potatoes, tomato sauce and ricotta, cover with parmesan cheese and nuke for 10 minutes.

3: Nuke sliced tomatoes for 5 mins, then add frozen salmon for a few more mons, drizzled with lemon and sauce of your choice.

Also, check out Lekue's incredible recipes on either their Youtube channel or on lekue.be. Incredible because you never thought you could do all this in a microwave, in such a short time!! There is no faster way to eat healthy!

I bought this springform pan based on the recommendation of several trusted sources, including Cook's Illustrated magazine. (They actually tested the model with handles--had that one been available I probably would have spent the extra money for it, but as it is I haven't found any significant inconvenience to the lack of handles with this model).

Although the quality and construction overall is excellent, the most obvious feature that distinguishes this from other springform pans is of course the glass bottom. I have been VERY impressed with this innovation! It overcomes a couple of the problems I've had with other (especially cheap) pans: the base's rolled metal edge that traps water & crumbs (which makes for quick rusting and difficult cleaning), and the tendency of the bottom to ding & bend, preventing a tight seal with the collar. This model seals very tightly--when I filled mine with water to check it, the majority of the leaking occurred not around the base but through the collar overlap (an inevitable weak point in the system). Batter of course is much thicker than water, and I haven't experienced any leaking problem when actually baking with it.

Baked products don't stick to it (either the base or the non-stick coated collar), and they don't need to be transferred from the base for cutting and serving, because you won't damage it by cutting on it--something all too easy to do with metal bottoms. The rimless glass bottom presents no impediment to a spatula when lifting out nice, neat slices. You can also look through the glass to check the browning of the crust as it bakes.

I do wish they offered other sizes, but if you're only going to have one size the 9" is the most practical. That's what almost all of my recipes call for, and if necessary you can bake a 8" recipe in a 9" pan (decreasing the baking time slightly)--but not necessarily the other way around.

I'm getting over my initial fear of breaking the glass. The truth is, when securely seated in the collar, the glass is quite well-protected. Probably the biggest recommendation for this is the fact that other manufacturers (including Kaiser) are now starting to copy the glass-bottom idea!

The Spano vertical poltury racks say they're non-stick, but the coating wears off VERY fast and is very hard to clean. This rack is "as-advertised" and really does clean up easily. Also, since it disassembles, it is much easier to store. Here is a case of less-is-more!

My husband is Mexican and is very picky about tortillas. We only eat corn tortillas and don't eat the preservative-laden tortillas in supermarkets. With a bag of Maseca, you can make as good tortillas as it is possible to obtain in the US outside of a huge Mexican enclave with a real tortilleria. We were stuck with an aluminum tortilla press for years and it's a total waste of time -you cannot get thin tortillas with it at all, because the press is simply too light. This one is terrific. You must use some type of liner, like a slit plastic bag ( a filmy produce bag works great) or wax paper to place the dough between, but you can get super, super-thin tortillas with it. If you have an aluminum tortilla press, give it to a kid to pretend making tortillas with Play-Doh and buy this one. You will not regret it. This is one of the best kitchen purchases I have made in the last ten years and it's an essential in our house.

I bought this item from target yesterday and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I use this to make Indian chappati/roti bread.

All you have to remember is to keep the dough ball inside the plastic sheets. This is also written on the box and the reason is very simple ... this is made of cast iron and if it is exposed to moisture it will rust.

Just remember that this is basically 6 inches in diameter !

This thing WORKS. My big drawback is it arrived in a HUGE box and arrived BROKEN the handles had been knocked off. HOWEVER, Amazon replaced it rather quickly, and the second one is great. As everyone else says, it is coated in oil, and that is all right. I washed it off and coated with with olive oil, like all my cast iron stuff (living in a humid environment, everything here needs a good coating of oil :-)). It works, and using the plastic bags is a good thing.

So, if you need one, and cannot live without fresh tortillas, get one. I missed Texas for a looooong time because of the tortillerias there....fresh tortillas at all restaurants and the food but now, I have learned to make salsa, fajitas, and a myriad of other good foods, so I am not so homesick :-)....especially since I can have my OWN corn tortillas!

I received my press yesterday and went right to work making tortillas. This was exactly what I needed.

Taking the advice of other reviewers here, I used a cut zip lock back with all sides split except for one to line the press.

The little dough balls need to be slightly to the back of the center of the press, closer to the hinge than the center.

Close the press, and wiggle the handle a bit from side to side to get them even thinner than just by pressing. I made both corn and flour tortillas and was very happy with my results.

The press had some sort of black grease on the inside of it, so when you first get it, wash it and carefully dry the edges that contact the plastic lining or any possible food! I'm sure they did that to keep rust down.

Perfect size for making chips or tacos or rolling up an enchilada. I think it should make nice pastry circles too perhaps for small pot pies. I played with one tortilla and one of the small corning rounds. It fit well.

I received my Imusa Victoria Cast Iron Tortilla press and it was in good condition. It seems like a high quality, well constructed item made of durable iron which looks to be chrome plated or coated with something because its a lot shinier and nicer looking than natural iron. I tried it out immediately after receiving it and was very impressed with how it worked. I saw other reviews that said people broke it when pressing tortillas but I'm really not sure how they did that. Its well made of solid iron with good hinge pins and takes practically no pressure at all to press even the thinnest tortillas. I knocked out about a dozen or so tortillas and it worked great on all of them. I would recommend washing it before use as it does arrive coated with oil or something but you should do that with any food prep devices anyway. I highly recommend this product. Definitely well worth the $$$

I fill this 2-Tier Bamboo Steamer with fish steaks, such as sea bass or halibut, and veggies, such as asparagus or broccoli. Then I place the steamer baskets with the lid over a wok containing a cup or so of water, and, in about fifteen minutes, dinner is ready. I put the fish steaks on top of plain white folded paper towels, so it is easy to wipe off the steamer basket when done. I store the baskets on top of a hanging pot rack. Because these baskets and lid are 10 inches in diameter, they work best on a small to medium-sized round wok placed on a gas ring. I have found this method works better on a gas range rather than on an electric or ceramic stove top.

Perhaps it was my fault since the website does NOT specify size. I assumed, wrongly, that I was ordering 6-inch steamers. Instead, I got 10-inch baskets which I did not want. Looking at the website again, it does not give the dimensions. In any event, I am stuck with them since it does not pay to return this low-priced item.

Moreover, I was disappointed to see that bright metal (copper?) staples, not shown on illustration, are used to hold the bamboo. I've been using bamboo steamers for 60 years from my early days in the Far East and never, never had seen metal used as a binding and wouldn't have wanted any.

Nota Bene: Amazon later did the right thing upon my complaint and refunded the total cost. Cheers to Amazon.

I purchased 4 2-tier bamboo steamers. They were reasonably priced and appeared virtually identical to another higher priced bamboo steamer. The steamers arrived in excellent condition and were put into service immediately. There was a recipe on the box for steamed pork dumplings which sounded yummy but I haven't tried to make dim sum yet. There were also instructions on how to care for the steamers. However, I purchased the bamboo steamers primarily as storage containers. Martha Stewart recommended using bamboo steamers as a much prettier way of storing vegetables and fruits, onions, potatoes, peaches, etc. that don't require refrigeration. Keeping produce in brown bags looks tacky. I placed two of the steamers in the garden window right over my sink. If you don't have a lot of shelf space, you can stack the baskets into a 3 or 4 basket tower. The other 2 steamers will be used in the pantry for the same purpose. The only limitation I have encountered in using the steamers for storage is that the produce can't be oversized, larger produce fits easily in the top basket with cover but only small to medium size produce fits into the other baskets.Fortunately, I like small potatoes, apricots, etc ... And, yes, I do plan on making dim sum some day.

I thought these pans would be cheap like other sold on tv products but they cook great. They are great for low fat cooking and searing meat. I have some all clad hard anodized I ordered around a month ago and they already had scratches after a few uses. I have used the stone dine to cook around 15 times now and after I clean them they look brand new. They heat up very fast and cook evenly. I really like these pans. Oh yeah they don't stick and are easy to clean. I would let them cool first even through on tv they spray them when they are hot that will eventually warp the pan. Only bad thing is they don't have lifetime warranty like all clad and other quality pans.

I bought this pan because it is all aluminum and no Teflon coating. I wanted it to make sugar water for my humming bird feeders.

I use it, but have to use a dipper to remove the sugar water less I spill a lot of it. I have ordered a stainless steel pan with a pour spout from Amazon.com to replace this one. We'll see how that goes.

I have wanted one of these for years but never knew if they performed like folks claimed they did.

Well now I know, they are great, you have to learn how to use them, you can't throw them on the stove turn the heat up high and expect to quick fry a hamburger.

You have to keep the heat down to medium or below and allow the pan to heat up after that it will cook anything you put in it properly and at the correct temperature, the heat is distributed evenly through the whole pan, which is something I have never seen in an aluminum or stainless pan, there are always cooler areas even though the burner covers the whole bottom of the pan.

This pan cooks evenly and steady.

Even though it is ceramic coated I like to apply a little cooking oil to the pan after it gets hot.

I have cooked almost every day for the last forty seven years and I don't use pre-packaged processed food and have owned everything from Emerils cookware to all-clad, The best I have found in stainless is the Healthy Gourmet, that stuff is surgical stainless and is tough.

I can't wait to save up and get the Le Creuset dutch oven.

Great quality. Cooks evenly with a lower heat heat requirement. Thus making food burn and stick if not on low heat. Need less oil too

this is a good pan but the food sticks to the black surface more than to the traditional white enamel of le creuset. we love the pan but will look for the light enamel interior for additional pans in our collection.

This skillet is all about quality. The size is perfect and very easy to clean. It is very heavy which makes lifting it to scrape contents on to a plate a little difficult.

I had to alter my cooking procedures slightly from what I did with my old non-stick surface. Using spray olive oil and heating the pan slowly before adding food but once you figure it out the pans work great and omelets and eggs come out perfect with virtually no clean-up. The pans heat evenly and look great on the rack.

I love this dutch oven. This is actually my second one. I used both last night to cook using charcoal and they work perfect. I have read some reviews that say these ovens are more likely to have hot spots, but I have not experienced that. They cook just as well as any cast iron oven I have used in the past. I love how light they are and the fact that you can wash them. Being aluminum, you won't have to worry about rust. No hesitation recommending this oven.

I've owned a few cast iron black pots for years, and I researched this particular item off and on during that time. I finally decided to buy this in order to lessen the burden of handling heavy equipment during some outings. What I really wanted to buy but haven't seen the offer for a while (I should've jumped on it back then) was the combo of the 12" and nested 10" set for just a few bucks more than what I paid for this one. It was a GSI item as well. Nevertheless, I found this item to be exactly what I expected. The price isn't bad either considering the impact of inflation over the years when I hesitated. Needless to say, Amazon's free shipping always adds value to an online purchase. The delivery was timely and the product was in great condition. (Sometimes with careless handling, cast metal pots get damaged and have to be returned). I cooked in it a couple of times already and all went well. Of course, the user has to keep in mind about the cooking charactistics of a cast aluminum pot versus a cast iron pot in order to accommodate a good experience.
