This is basically the same pan as the 3-quart saucier, for less money and with more convenient handles. I love it. It's my basic stir fry/saute dish. The high sides keep food, especially greens, from flying all over the place. A perfect pan for someone like myself who doesn't tend to be cooking huge amounts of stuff. Good for baking as well.

Another example of All Clad's outstanding quality. I have used this for different rice dishes so far with excellent results. If only doing white rice, 2 cups raw plus the water is about maximum capacity of this pan. No scorching experienced.

"Skillet dinners" or veggies --probably holds 4 servings. I plan to use this a lot cooking for less people now.

I like the side handles--just set the hot pan on a trivet or into a basket, and bring to the table.

They should have named this "small everything pan", in my opinion.

I have been quite a keen home baker now for several years and must have used miles of baking parchment and greaseproof paper over the years as well as numerous baking trays etc. I have been wondering about buying a reusable silicone baking sheet for a while but thought they were maybe a bit of a gimmick. How wrong I was (I'm very pleased to say !) This sheet, tray, mat or whatever you want to call it is fantastic. I have used it to bake bread rolls, cookies, biscuits and even a small pizza and so far everything has turned out just right. I wasn't sure if it would bake the base properly but it does an excellent job. The things come out of the oven with a lovely crisp even bake and nothing has even stuck slightly. This is the first silicone baking mat I've tried and boy am I glad. I've always enjoyed baking but the hassle of having to scour sticky remnants off aluminium trays held me back from doing more. Now this isn't a problem any more. I just give my mat a good wipe with warm soapy water and it comes up clean with a minimum of effort. The mat itself is a nice, attractive, vibrant color. As for its performance,cookies and pizzas and even quick things like battered chicken bites for the kids, they all come out of the oven with an even crispy bake. I've even got my young daughter interested in baking now and we're both looking forward to seeing how different things we try will turn out with our baking mat. I ordered this as a gift for my wife and we really have both enjoyed using it tremendously! This high grade quality professional baking mat lives up to its name in every way. My wife used the mat initially to bake cookies for our family. We were both surprised at how easy it is to use... just place the mat on the baking tray instead of aluminum foil. With no grease and no additional sprays the cookies baked evenly and cooled nicely without sticking to the mat or leaving any piece of the cookie behind. Next I used the mat myself to bake a tray of tater tots for the kids. With no mess or fuss the tots baked evenly all over and rolled right off the mat onto the plate. I've been using silicone baking mats instead of aluminum foil for the past few years since learning about the health risks of aluminum, and recently needed to replace one of my mats. I found the BrightSpring mat to be well made with a brightly colored border and name as shown but otherwise plain. I was disappointed it is not dishwasher safe, but many others are not dishwasher safe either. I will update later as to how it wears with time!

the lid looks great and fits great. Only thing is, the rotating steam vent used to adjust the amount of steam that comes out the top was faulty. It didn't fit correctly together, so it just rotated freely and didn't adjust the steam at all.

The Swiss Diamond pan covers are GREAT! I have purchased them for all of my pots and pans that they fit, saucepans, saute pans, dutch ovens, etc. The feature that sets them apart from all other covers is the steam-escape knob. You can dial it for an air tight cover, or for a little or a lot of air to escape. This allows for far fewer boil-overs and more precise simmering temperatures. And since they are glass you can monitor what's happening. I recommend them to everybody.

A high-quality Creuset product! I love it, I've made great dishes with it and its easy to clean with no discoloration/deterioration after mutliple uses. But be warned Creuset products are on the heavy side. I've been looking for a roasting rack that would last solid stainless rather than chrome plate or Teflon coated. I ordered this in size small and it's just what I wanted. Sturdy, dishwasher safe, and the shape supports a roast or chicken nicely. The adjustable ones always collapse on me, I like that this is a solid one-piece unit. While designed to use with the Scanpan, the small fits my standard 9x13.5" stainless baking pan with a little space around it, and is sturdy enough to support any roast that would fit in the pan. I plan to get a larger one for my larger roasting pan, for the next time I cook a turkey.

Update Jan 2013 I finally got the larger size, they were out of stock when I tried before. The box gives the dimensions of the large as 17 1/4" x 12 1/2" x 3". I measure it at about 13 3/4 x 11 1/4 x 2 1/2". The smaller one I measure at about 10 1/4" x 7 3/4" x 2 1/4". The large is sturdy enough for a large turkey, which is what I was looking for.

The rack pictured is not the one you will get now. I have the original and waited a long time to order a second one. Imagine my surprise when the box showed the correct rack, but inside was a cheap imitation. It is square, flat and lightweight. It weighs half the weight of the original. It may be stainless steel and it may not. The original is a work of art and worth the price. I use it all the time. Sent the cheap imitation back. Tried twice; no luck. The picture in the listing is right, the picture on the box is right, but the rack is a very cheap imitation. Buyer beware!!! Have notified Amazon, but they have not corrected listing.

Amazon customer service was helpful and processed a refund and a pre-paid return label. Great service, but, still a disappointment. Also wish customer service was in the U.S. rather than outsourced.

I expect that this will prove a useful and sturdy, little roasting rack. Note, however, that it is supposed to be a "large" rack. The dimensions on the box state that it is 17" x 12" x 3". The true dimensions are much closer to 13" x 11 1/2" x 3". The only dimension that measures 17" is the diagonal!

That said, it fits a Calphalon roasting pan. I like that the handles do not extend up (and beyond) the sides of the roasting pan. While it will make it difficult to raise the bird from the pan still sitting on the rack, it will make it much easier to use lifters to remove the bird from rack and pan.

The Spano vertical poltury racks say they're non-stick, but the coating wears off VERY fast and is very hard to clean. This rack is "as-advertised" and really does clean up easily. Also, since it disassembles, it is much easier to store. Here is a case of less-is-more!

The Stainless Steel Colander arrived one day earlier and it is not a delicate one either. It definitly has muscle. Meaning. You don't have to baby it when washing it in the kitchen sink. Have you noticed how the other colanders that claim tto be stainless they tend to rust. So far i've been lucky. The colander has a round base ideal for placing it in the sink.

The best feature of this colander is that, the thing has holes and no elongated openings just holes and fettuccini,linguine,spaghetti and vermicelli won't go through the holes and there's no elongated openings.

This looked like the perfect solution for replacing the previous cracked Plastic lid Handle but it may be a health hazard now. At first I did not notice anything peculiar....it was during the over night cooking of collards that I notices a mysterious red stain in a vent indention of the crock pot. This had me wondering. It was not until I cooked soup and later squash that I noticed where the red stain was coming from. Apparently the screw used to tighten the handle down is seeping a chemical or rust. You may want to avoid purchasing this item or get it yourself and look at the the screw head after a cooking session.

Instead of buying a new lid I bought the replacement handle. Product arrived within the time frame posted & works beautifully. One drawback is that it is difficult to get the screw to thread into the handle. It's very small & took us 20 minutes to do. But other than that it does the job it's intended to do.

The handle will work, but with the following potential issues:

1. The screw may or may not work. I was able to make it work with my Rival crockpot lid, but it took some gentle coersion to make it work.

2. There is no seal for the screw. After the first use, there was a lot of condensate that got collected between the thin metal plate and the glass lid. Also the screw rusted severely after the first use. I had to remove teh handle from the lid in order to clean all the condensed liquid from a pot of chili and make sure it was sanitary.

I tried installing it without the thin metal plate didn't work very well. So being a nerd, I filled the void area between the glass and the silver plate with high temperature silicone to seal it and keep the steam from whatever I am cooking from getting trapped in that void space and becoming a health hazard. I also took time to visit several big box hardware stores and find a stainless steel version of the screw. Now it doesn't rust.

For all the trouble I went to, I could have just fabricated a home-made version of a handle and skipped buying this.....

We used the stainless steel screw and washer from our broken knob to attach this new knob. Initially it worked well. After about 3 meals, we were surprised as we started noticing a rusty colored liquid that dripped onto our food from the knob. Turns out, it's not just the screw that rusts. My point here, which I hope is helpful, is that even if you replace the accompanying screw with one made of stainless steel, the inner threads on the knob will still rust and metallic nastiness will seep through the threads and find its way into your food. No bueno.

I wanted to leave a note that the width of these is misstated in some of the descriptions they're 9" wide at the base (8.5" wide at the top.) Unfortunately we ordered two to go into a single 17.5" drawer, and they won't fit, so we'll have to return them.

The knife tray looks great the pictures here don't really do it justice. This one seems to be better for holding large or long knives, but we ended up going with the Wustof knife trays because of size, and they do a better job of holding small knives, so it's a bit of a tradeoff between the two.

The reason I took one star off is because this tray is very cramped if you want to put similarly sized knives next to each other especially Shun knives with the fatter, rounded handles compared to classic German handles, which tend to be thinner, but taller. We have a mixture of Japanese and German styles, and both are too cramped in this tray for my taste, so keep that in mind when figuring out the layout you'd need use. If you can alternate long and short knives, you'll have plenty of room, if not, I think you will have a harder time than you'd like pulling a knife out of this tray.

Great minds think alike. I bought this set for my daughter for Xmas and oddly she bought the exact same set for me for Xmas.

To begin with I was in love with this set. But I am keeping a close eye on it. It seems that the more I use the pans, items are beginning to stick to the bottoms.

I have never put these in the dishwasher....always washed by hand and dried immediately. I have also never used any type of cooking spray on them as I find this tends to ruin pans and make them impossible to clean.

I am hoping this doesn't become a problem in the future, as I really do like the set. It seems well constructed and well worth the money. My pans are calphalon also and I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Cake pans are small ones and so are the bread pans...not full size.

I got all the shapes I needed for a low price. The 8" round cake pans almost look like pie plates so they're a bit smaller than I expected but I didn't need any bigger. The loaf bread is 9" by 5", which I hope helps because I was wondering about the size before buying and I couldn't find the details anywhere. I'm happy with my purchase, they all work great and after baking my breads and muffins just come right out of the pan so the nonstick works great. I wash them by hand and getting any food residue from them is very easy too. They look sturdy, not like other cheap products that seem sheet thin. These are great for regular home baking.

After just one trip through the dishwasher these pans rusted and they rusted quickly. Sadly, I'm into day 40 of owning them and Amazon won't take them back. My only hope is that Calphalon offers a return. After grabbing the muffin pan and having a a few tablespoons of rust water drip from being trapped in the rolled edge my confidence in the product is at zero.

There is rust visible on the rolled underedges, the seams (muffin pan) and already eating away at a small scratch I accidentally put in the cake pan. I have always heard that Calphalon was a great product, this was my first purchase and boy was I disappointed.

I hope it's just a problem in this batch, I will update my review when I hear back from their warranty department.

I bought this to replace a older Circulon wok that we used for many, many years and as an alternative to a large stainless steel wok which is heavier and my wife does not like to use often. We later found out that if we wash it in a dishwasher, water will accumulate inside the handle since there is an opening between the wok and the handle. I think it is a design flaw or an afterthought to allow the water to drain? Anyway, it is an inconvenience and a hassle when you have to wipe out dishwashing residue coming out of the handle while you are ready to cook!

I recently bought my husband an entire set of Circulon Contempo in the hard anodized. He is the cook but I do the clean up. He loves the pans and I love the clean up. He needed a pan like this as our set did not include one and the one from the former set we had was really needing replacement. Unfortunately, it only comes in the stainless and not the hard anodized. So I decided to buy it anyway so we could get rid of the other one. He likes the pan but wishes it was a little wider at the bottom. So far I have had no issues with keeping it clean. The inside (of course) cleans up like a dream. So far the outside has not needed more than a scrubby sponge. I hope it stays that way.

I ordered this griddle to replace my Teflon one trying to replace all my teflon cookware piece by piece. I'm VERY happy with it. It came pre-seasoned and ready to use, and I've used it a dozen times already; for pancakes, for quesadillas and most recently, for grilled cheese sandwiches. It does take some "getting used to". It is very heavy for one. And it takes a while to pre-heat, because you don't want to heat it up too fast. I usually start it out on low heat (around 3 or 4 on my electric range). I pre-heat for about 5 minutes. This way, the heat gets evenly distributed. If you start cooking too soon, yes, it will be unevenly heated. Once you bring it up to heat, you need to watch it to make sure it doesn't get too hot. I leave it on 3 or 4, closer to 3 for pancakes, closer to 4 for grilled cheese and it has cooked everything perfectly. Cleans up like a professional non-stick item and is tough, tough, tough. I use my steel pizza cutter to cut through quesadillas right on the griddle before serving them something you definitely CAN'T do on Teflon!

Admittedly, a few drawbacks the weight, the long time to pre-heat. But once you get used to it, you will love it just like I do.

I have a collection of Lodge pans in the kitchen "tool box" so it was a no brainer that getting this griddle would be an exciting addition. It showed up in perfect shape and was even pre-seasoned. I was sure that cooking would be a snap but was quickly very disappointed. After mixing up some delicious home made pancakes, I quickly ruined the first pan full by the pan burning the ones in the middle and under cooking all the others. We use a state of the art G.E. gas stove with very good ratings. The burners all are very even and heat perfectly. After shifting the griddle around to other burners, there was no change. This problem usually stems from poor materials and inconsistent construction. For any other griddle, I would take it in stride but for a Lodge product, this was surprising and unexpected. For comparison purposes, I put on the large skillet and cooked up a perfect set of pancakes. I've never had such an experience and couldn't believe it! This shouldn't stop you from buying their skillets but I can't believe the handling of this griddle. Very disappointing. Very unexpected.

I wanted to love this griddle because I have other Lodge pans and the size is great. That said, even with preheating, this griddle does not heat evenly the center gets much hotter than the corner areas. For pancakes, I rotate them just to have some even browning. A disappointment.

Okay, it's a square griddle. And it's Lodge Logic.

Both of which are good things it's bulletproof, pre-seasoned, and nothing sticks to it. I've got plenty of Lodge Logic cookware and love the stuff.

However, like most griddles, it's significantly hotter in the center than at the corners, at least on an electric range. Making a consistent batch of, say, hash browns, is possible only with attention... just like any other griddle. I'd really hoped for a thicker bottom with enough thermal mass to give more even heating over the entire surface.

That said, I like to use it in the oven unheated for garlic bread and mini-pizzas to keep the crust from browning before the cheese, and pre-heated for fries and such to minimize/eliminate the need for flipping them exquisite browning, no oil required. In these applications, this pan surpasses anything else available.

For most things on top of the stove, I'd be more inclined to use my 12" round Lodge Logic skillet.

If I had to pick *one*, I'd choose the 12" round skillet over this griddle... but if you really want a griddle, this one still works better than ordinary non-stick and does some amazing work in the oven.

I thought this would perform like the Lodge skillets that get glowing remarks but this is a griddle which to me makes a difference.

Positive:

Sits flat on gas range (doesnt rock) and it has a smooth cooking surface (no bumps that need grinding)

Negatives:

Food sticks to the surface even though I only use it to cook bacon over low heat. I have to use a spatula and scrape under the bacon in order to flip it over which tears the bacon and makes a mess. And yes I always season the pad with oil after cleaning it.

It doesnt heat evenly, even after 1/2 hour on low to medium heat. The middle gets hot, the sides and corners stay much cooler, so the bacon gets burnt in the middle but is still fatty on the ends.

I wanted a flat cooking area of 12"x12". The entire surface area with the lip is 12x12 but the flat cooking area is only 10x10. Not technically wrong but something you should be aware of
