I use my bag for storing the oven Nuwave 20322 Pro Digital-Controlled Infrared Tabletop Oven, Black since I can't keep it out on the counter. The oven sits in the bag assembled and it fits neatly and snugly, even with the extender ring. The bag is a must have for road trips. We like to take ours with us when we stay in hotels so we don't have to eat out if we don't want to. I pack my paper goods, seasonings, and other miscellaneous cooking items that I may need inside the base of the oven so it's like having my own little portable kitchen!

The bag is sturdy, and I think it is a good investment.

I am most pleased with the carrying bag for my Nuwave Oven. I use it after every cooking and take it to the campground when we go camping which works out very handy. I think everyone should have one of the carrying bags.

My girlfriend had been giving me a hard time about the teflon coating peeling from the bottom of my old cookware and we decided to go stainless. What a great decision. Over all they require less heat and cook more evenly. Clean up is easy with no threat of ruining a non-stick coating and we are both more relaxed about the potential hazard of teflon coatings.

These pots and pans are what I wanted. Now to the review complaining about stainless steel being stained, you have to wash them or at least rinse them out promptly if making tea or any other thing like that. If you do get a stain, use bar keeper's friend and it comes out or like the pamphlet says boil some water/vinegar mixture.

We got stainless because it's healthier than non stick and the one time we had a non stick set the non stick peeled off. Really happy I got what I did for 149 bucks.

We have been using this set for over a month and it it is very nice looking, very nice to use on the stove, and the maintenance is quite simple, but there will be the need to keep white vinager and baking soda at hand to keep the pans looking as new. We like really this set.

Months ago I started researching glass storage options after making the decision to completely move away from plastic food storage and this Pyrex glass storage bowl set was exactly what I was looking for.

Pros:

-Both the bowl and lid are freezer, microwave, oven, and top rack dishwasher safe.

-Bowls are made right here in the US.

-They're truly airtight & leak-PROOF, not leak resistant like a lot of other storage containers on the market.

-No clicking and flipping of flimsy plastic tabs to hold the lid to the bowl.

-Pyrex 2-year warranty.

Cons:

-If you have several of the same size bowls, like I do, be aware that they don't stack very well. I wish they would do a slight re-design and "flute" the first inch or so of the bowl so it would allow them to stack/nest into each other.

As has probably been the experience of many others on Amazon, I've had all glass containers, and I've had all plastic containers. And I've used plastic containers like margarine/butter tubs so that they weren't wasted. I've had just about every brand of those plastic matching container sets, including the inexpensive ones and the thicker ones.

Unlike some of the reviewers of the all-glass Anchor Hocking square storage containers, I come from a generation where everyone used those little 'refrigerator' dishes and I realize those can't store air-tight. I have some of the newer, much more expensive Anchor Hocking deco-inspired glass containers and I enjoy and use them all the time. But--they don't seal air-tight, and they are also quite heavy.

Pyrex makes two types of these glass storage containers with see-through tops. One series has a plastic see through window on top with a little tab for venting so that it's microwave safe. Mine like that have blue soft rims to seal the glass bowl. The other type, the ones here, have a glass top insert with red silicone plastic rims to seal to the all glass bowl.

I bought a Pyrex brand measuring cup a few years ago that has a red silicone ring on the bottom, and a red silicone lid to cover the cup. This cup has been used almost daily, dropped countless times, and been through the dishwasher even more. It looks, still, like the day I bought it. That was what motivated me to buy these containers.

They are heavy, but in no way nearly as heavy as the Anchor Hocking containers. Heavier than any of the plastic ones, though. Because the lids are silicone they can even withstand baking in an oven, though why someone would choose to do that is beyond me. Naturally, they're freezer, fridge and microwave safe also. They go through the dishwasher perfectly well, and so far mine have, as with the measuring cup, shown absolutely no wear.

I was just getting creeped out by the way that my plastic containers were looking. I don't know if 'etching' is the proper term, but they certainly were showing use--and I have a bunch of them.

There's no doubt that these are more expensive than plastic. But I don't store as much as I used to and a couple of sets of these are proving to have the best of both worlds--the inertness of glass with foods, and the superb sealing quality of silicone rims.

I just got these recently. I bought them because I wanted to get some non-plastic containers that were microwave and dishwasher safe and liked that these are also oven safe and leak proof.

My main complaint is that the size description is incorrect. They are supposed to be 2 cups, but when I got them they definitely looked smaller. So, I tried measuring out 2 cups of water in a Pyrex measuring cup and pouring it into the container, but I had to stop because it would have spilled over. I had read some of the reviews that these were small, but I bought them anyway, because I thought 2 cups actually meant 2 cups. That's unfortunately not the case here. :(

Honest reviews on Pyrex No Leak Glass Container Set with Lid, 6-Piece, Round

These bowls are a great size for lunch. I do disagree with the No Leak in the product name. The lids do get loose over time, so make sure you pack them upright in your lunch bag.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Pyrex No Leak Glass Container Set with Lid, 6-Piece, Round

I'm not going to bother talking about the dish itself, because it's just your standard Pyrex dish that's been around since the dawn of civilization. The important part is the lid.

Most Tupperware-style lids seal around the outside of the dish. That's fine for plastic dishes, because the dish can flex a bit as you pull the lid off, so the lid doesn't have to stretch in order to come off the top of the dish. Glass, obviously, does not flex -and yet, every airtight glass dish I've seen until now has used a lid that seals around the outside, just like the plastic dishes, except that the lid has to stretch to come off. That makes the lid harder than heck to remove, and it inevitably cracks after a few uses.

What Pyrex has done is something that needed to be done a long time ago. They designed a lid that seals INSIDE the dish, so it can be pulled off easily, and the airtight seal doesn't have to stretch at all. AND, they used silicone to make the flexible part of the lid, so it will basically last forever, because silicone is inert to everything. It's even safe to use in the oven, though I can't think of anything you could actually cook in an airtight dish in the oven -but if you tried, at least the lid wouldn't melt.

I bought a couple of these to test, and so far they've passed with flying colors. The most important test I could think of was the Upside Down Hot Water test -I filled the dish with steaming hot water, put the lid on, turned the dish upside-down in my sink, and shook it vigorously -the lid didn't pop off, not even from the increasing air pressure as the hot water heated the air in the dish, and the seal didn't leak at all. I've been waiting years for glass dishes like these.

I received the Talisman Beechwood Salad Set as a gift and what a perfect gift it has been. Not only is the set great looking, durable, easy to clean, and a fun conversation piece, you don't have it use it only for salads. I have mine stored in my utensil holder right by my stove. I find myself reaching for them all the time when cooking. The beechwood will not scratch or harm my pots or pans. I've found them to be my favorite cooking utensil. It's the perfect gift to receive and will be a great gift to give.

Talisman makes the cutest items. I was searching online for a unique salad set and found the Talisman products. I ordered them and it's amazing how many uses I have for them. They are not only adorable but durable. They hold up great under several washings. I use them for tossing various food items. Most recently I used them to toss olive oil and parmesan cheese over my Kale pieces that I make into chips in the oven. Several guests have asked me where I got them and I referred them to Amazon. I also received a catalog in the shipping box and there are several items that I will order from Talisman. Beechwood is a durable and ecological wood that I highly recommend.

I gave the "Phrases" salad servers to my roommate as a gift and was so impressed with how cute they are. They're plain and classic so they go with our kitchen really well, but they're also kind of spunky and cute with their little sayings on the handles. We're two 20-something ladies with a funky-cute kitchen and these are a great addition! Easy to wash too. They were the perfect gift by being cute and packaged nicely but not costing me too much. Definitely recommend!

I was a little hesitant to purchase any Easistore products after reading the "easiburn" review here. But, I needed to purchase cookware that was able to be used with an induction stove, was interested in an eco-friendly product, and I wanted to get a nesting set because I have very limited storage space. And, boy, do these nest! The amount of space saved is amazing. No more wrestling 2 or 3 pots out of the way to get to the skillet.

There is absolutely no design flaw with the lids. They do hold the moisture in and "seal" well. There is a small round hole in the steel rim of the top of the lid. This allows a tiny amount of steam to escape, just enough to allow for simmering without a rattling or bumping lid. I cooked applesauce in these and did not lose any moisture. I think you would be able to steam vegetables or rice with this, but as they teach in Home Ec 1, the right tool for the right job. Get a rice steamer if you really want to steam. Besides, you can't have a lid that seals that tightly or you have a closed expanding system -that's the reason you have those wingnuts on a pressure cooker. To keep the lid from flying off! Basic physics. The second hole is actually a cut out in the interior rim of the lid and does not allow moisture to escape as it is entirely within the pot when the lid is on and is not a hole to the exterior as long as you do not line it up with the handle (only applicable in the larger size). There is an arrow engraved on the top of the lid to easily identify where this opening is. It is there to allow for closer stacking -lets the handles through from the smaller pots.

The second design flaw claim does have a bit of validity. However, it is one pan out of the set the 3 quart. No tight sealing lid, outside a pressure cooker (see above), is going to prevent boilover. My first reaction to boilover is to lift the lid to release the pressure, which usually stops the boiling over. If you do lift the pot, I could see that the handle might be hot. Knowing that this is a possibility and reducing boilovers makes this a non-issue in my opinion.

I have found these to be quality cookware and have not had any problems with them. Glad I bought them. Amazon does not always have the lowest price. Check motherearthnews.com they had them 50% off in November. Only giving 4 stars because these are made in China, not locally in the US.

I was excited to buy this product, I loved the looks and the e-use of materials. But the design has 2 big cooking flaws. First, the lids have vent holes in the top and side (I assume the side hole is for draining out cooking liquids) which prevents them from being tight-fitting, steam retentive lids. No cooking rice or steaming anything with these. One of the things they teach in Home Ec 1 is to buy a pan with a tight, moisture retentive lid.

More serious is the larger pan, the bottom one of the nest. It has a handle that extends straight from the edge of the pan, and the handle is trough-shaped, with a hanging hole a couple of inches from the end. Problem is, if you have a boil-over in this pan, the scalding liquid travels past the pan edge (no tight lid to stop this) and right up the trough, then exits at the hole. Any cook knows a first reaction to this occurrence is to pull the pan off the heat, which puts your hand in the path of the scalding liquid exiting the hanging hole. Unexpected and unsafe.

I bought these for my Mom, who has very limited storage space. She loves them. They nest, they are heavy duty and cook well. The only issue we have is we can't get anyone at the company to respond to our request for a replacement part. (My brother cooked the pot knob, and we'd like to replace it.) Outside of that, the pots really do nest well and cook well.

Honest reviews on Natural Home 10 Piece Easistore Nesting Cookware Set

This is not 'green' cookware. I ordered some pots and the glass & steel lids have a plastic knob (verified by the manufacturer) that wraps into the inside of the lid. If you cook with the lid on, the moisture condensation will expose your food to a significant amount of plastic. If you want to avoid possible toxins from plastic cookware, this product is not for you.

I paid $10 shipping for this product and to return it, Natural Home insists I pay the return shipping too. So I either keep the pots and don't use the lids, or I return them and am out $20-$25 shipping costs for nothing but wasted time and money.

My 2 quart sauce pan leaks through the welds where the rivets hold the handle in place. I didn't notice until my return time had expired and I haven't been able to find any way to contact the manufacturer online about what I can do to replace the defective pot. The only reason I didn't give it a one star is that the other pieces seem to work for now. Again, I think the concept is great, they just need to be made better.

UPDATE:

I finally found my package insert with the customer service number (don't know why but I couldn't find it on the net). They couldn't replace the 2 qt pan by itself so they sent me a new 2 and 3 qt set free of charge. I can't help but say customer service was exceptional. The new pan works great, no leaks!

After searching extensively for a BPA-free steamer, I stumbled across this one made in New Zealand. Though I would have preferred a ceramic steamer, those are impossible to find in a convenient size (this would be a great business idea for someone).

The delivery was in reasonable time. There are no instructions for steaming but I found that adding about 8 ounces of water and using the vegetables option in the microwave does the trick. For those who do not have it, try steaming for about 3-4 minutes. Layer firmer vegetables in the center and softer ones on the periphery.

I portion my vegetables before putting it in the fridge and wash and steam it at mealtime. It is quick and convenient and great for people on diets (I think vegetables should be a part of any balanced meal).

I am going to order the smaller version for work and travelling.

Received my steamer yesterday and was very pleased; serving approximately 4 to 5 people. It can easily handle a whole head of cauliflower to give you an idea of size. The base of the steamer is like that of Rubbermaid bowls (I don't think it will easily crack if dropped on a hard surface). The vegetable colander has holes around the top rim and slits around the inside perimeter making the steaming process more efficient. There is also a spike handle inside for easy lifting of vegetable colander. After microwaving, I would make sure you push in the pressure release value located on top of the lid to avoid the steam. In addition, it has this great locking system on all four sides with lift-off tabs molded at the corners making the lid easy to remove from the base. Dishwasher safe/freezer safe/made from lead-free materials -what could be better!

I decided to go on the Cabbage Soup Diet, which uses a lot of vegetables. Unfortunately, I am not not a cook and not very patient. So, I bought the large steamer from Ebay, because it was BPA free. It is incredibly easy. I use frozen and fresh vegetables, add a little water and microwave.

I just bought a second large steamer from Amazon, after noticing that they are stackable. BTW, the Amazon was much less expensive for the same article. Now I can cook separate dishes.

They are made in New Zealand and are very durable. The only problem is that there are no directions. I just emailed the company and asked them to put directions on the website.

Honest reviews on Sistema Microwave Steamer, Rectangular, Red

I absolutely love this steamer. I've had them all and this is finally the one I've always hoped I'd find. I got the Medium size which is perfect for one person who wants to cook for more than one meal, saving the second portion.

I usually put about a half cup of water in the container. Potatoes take about 6 minutes, corn about 4 minutes, asparagus about 3 minutes or less. I like my veggies a bit cooked so judge accordingly. No cooking instructions come with the item and their web site doesn't have any either so it's a matter of learning on your own. Just start with a couple of minutes on high and go from there.

The basket is not too hot to lift easily from the container with a bare hand, though I don't know why. Cleanup is a snap.

Still a beautiful green. Tastes like fresh. This will be used almost daily by me. A few instructions would help people who don't cook very much.

This looked like the perfect solution for replacing the previous cracked Plastic lid Handle but it may be a health hazard now. At first I did not notice anything peculiar....it was during the over night cooking of collards that I notices a mysterious red stain in a vent indention of the crock pot. This had me wondering. It was not until I cooked soup and later squash that I noticed where the red stain was coming from. Apparently the screw used to tighten the handle down is seeping a chemical or rust. You may want to avoid purchasing this item or get it yourself and look at the the screw head after a cooking session.

Fast delivery and great replacement knob. I wish it came in white though. However, this is well made and safer than the original knob/handle that came on my crock-pot.

Thank you.

Best Deals for Amico Kitchen Replacement Cookware Pot Lid Cover Knob Handle

Instead of buying a new lid I bought the replacement handle. Product arrived within the time frame posted & works beautifully. One drawback is that it is difficult to get the screw to thread into the handle. It's very small & took us 20 minutes to do. But other than that it does the job it's intended to do.

Honest reviews on Amico Kitchen Replacement Cookware Pot Lid Cover Knob Handle

The handle will work, but with the following potential issues:

1. The screw may or may not work. I was able to make it work with my Rival crockpot lid, but it took some gentle coersion to make it work.

2. There is no seal for the screw. After the first use, there was a lot of condensate that got collected between the thin metal plate and the glass lid. Also the screw rusted severely after the first use. I had to remove teh handle from the lid in order to clean all the condensed liquid from a pot of chili and make sure it was sanitary.

I tried installing it without the thin metal plate didn't work very well. So being a nerd, I filled the void area between the glass and the silver plate with high temperature silicone to seal it and keep the steam from whatever I am cooking from getting trapped in that void space and becoming a health hazard. I also took time to visit several big box hardware stores and find a stainless steel version of the screw. Now it doesn't rust.

For all the trouble I went to, I could have just fabricated a home-made version of a handle and skipped buying this.....

We used the stainless steel screw and washer from our broken knob to attach this new knob. Initially it worked well. After about 3 meals, we were surprised as we started noticing a rusty colored liquid that dripped onto our food from the knob. Turns out, it's not just the screw that rusts. My point here, which I hope is helpful, is that even if you replace the accompanying screw with one made of stainless steel, the inner threads on the knob will still rust and metallic nastiness will seep through the threads and find its way into your food. No bueno.

If you are into enjoying making authentic dosas (South Indian crepes), I highly recommend DeBuyer organic, mineral, environmental friendly, good for health iron pan (not cast iron). Masala dosas made on this pan is so authentic, reminded me of my mom's dosas in my childhood. Even my mom doesn't make such dosas these days because she also uses non-stick pans :-)

This is a "one size fits all" pan, you could use this pan for multi purpose, like making Indian wheat breads (rotis, parathas), for crepes (dosas) and for any shallow frying.

If you plan to get it follow the instructions for seasoning before getting started. It says the more you use it gets better with its non-stick properties. I haven't tested it yet as mine is very new. As it says on the mini instructions booklet that comes with it, it is supposed to be good for health as it adds iron value to the nutrition with its pure/natural iron property.

BonAppetite!

This pan is amazing. Beautiful smooth cooking surface. It truly is non stick. You can prepare scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, etc. and there is no sticking. Omelets were a dream to make. Easy cleanup. Handle does not get hot when used on the stove top. A solid pan, not too heavy. Should last a lifetime.

Heat up time is extremely quick compared to regular stainless steel pans or non stick pans. You can get a nice brown sear on food very quickly. Pan also goes from the stove top into the oven or under the broiler to finish your dish.

You won't believe how fast the cooking time is with this pan.

Best Deals for DeBuyer Mineral B Element Iron Crepe Pan, Round

My wife got a DeBuyer Mineral B frying pan for her birthday. I was very sceptical about an iron pan without non-stick coating: I was sure stuff would stick and it would be a pain to clean. But I was wrong, very wrong. Preparing the pan for first use was very simple: just followed the instructions, it took 10 minutes. And NOTHING will stick to these pans, I've never seen a non-stick pan perform this well. The DeBuyer frying pan is by far, hands down, the best frying pan I've used. This is why we ordered this crepe pan too, which turns out to be just as good.

The crepe pan has a low rim which makes it easy to flip the crepes. The pan is light and therefor easy to handle. It is sturdy and the bottom of the pan is extremely flat. I don't see this pan warp unless abused. The handle is coated to prevent rust, but it will get warm/hot. Nothing sticks to the pan, it's really impressive.

Honest reviews on DeBuyer Mineral B Element Iron Crepe Pan, Round

We got rid of our coated non-stick cookware many years ago, and switched to using only stainless steel. We've had good luck with the Emeril stainless cookware, which has been durable and useful. For example, when using butter in the stainless Emeril pan, I can cook an omelette and have it release by just jostling the pan. Not really non-stick (stainless never is), but it worked well enough.

Until now, that is. We're cutting back on our use of butter, and have taken to using a light mist of oil (like grapeseed) in our cooking. However, using oil on stainless simply does not impart the same slippery effect as butter (or lard), so eggs and other foods stick instead of releasing.

After some investigation, I found these DeBuyer iron pans, which are thinner and lighter than cast iron, but which claim to have exceptional non-stick capabilities without any added polymer coatings. And they work GREAT. These are less heavy than cast iron, but are still quite substantial, made from very thick and durable iron.

They come with a coating of bees wax, which prevents rusting during storage and shipment. Removing the bees wax is a bit of a pain, and I resorted to filling a sink with boiling water and submerging them to melt off the wax, then wiping away any residual coating. Even though this initial cleaning is pain, it's a one time thing and it's a natural coating, so still preferable to polymer-based non-stick cookware.

The next step is to season the pan, which involves putting a shallow layer of oil in the pan, heating it until the oil begins to smoke, then pouring it out. This step was relatively easy, and again is a one-time thing.

After that, the pan is ready to use. The first thing I made was a thin, five egg omelette, cooked with only a thin misted layer of grapeseed oil in the pan. The eggs released easily, cooked evenly, and the omelette came out perfect.

The manufacturer recommends cleaning with hot water and a sponge (no soap, no abrasives, etc), and they clean up well that way. Then, similar to cast iron, you wipe a little oil on them and put them away until the next use. The oil prevents rusting if you don't use them for a while. These pans are similar to cast iron in that they season as you use them, and the non-stick properties get better the more you use them.

Are they as non-stick as teflon? Not quite, but close enough to work for almost any typical cooking need. Are they more trouble to clean and store? Yes, they do require a little care and feeding. Can you put them in the dishwasher? Well, you can, but it will strip the seasoning and encourage rusting, so you don't want to do that.

However, they are made of iron, and that's it. No polymer coating to flake off and ingest. No poisonous fumes to emit and cause harm (check the warnings for using non-stick cookware around birds, for example). And we're able to cook everything with a thin layer of misted oil, and so far nothing has stuck even slightly. We highly recommend this cookware, particularly if you're looking to get rid of polymer-coated pans due to potential health issues.

Update: The bad news is that after 11 months of regular use one of our two pans warped. The worse news is that I was unable to find any US-based support contact info for the manufacturer, and their offices in France never returned my calls, online requests, or emails. The good news is that I contacted Amazon to see if they had US-based support contact info, and they offered (unsolicited) to replace the pan for me. So, I'll call that a push and leave the five star rating, but watch out for warping and be sure to never introduce sudden temperature changes to the pans.

I prefer a non-toxic pan for cooking which is why I purchased this glass cookware.

For cooking vegetables and items that don't stick really badly, the Visionware has been great. I use this particular pan mainly to sautee or steam vegetables and to fry bacon.

It cleans up nicely when you soak it and scrub it out with a plastic scrubber. I then place it in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning.

I have used Visionware for about 22 years, including this frying pan.

The frying pan has never failed or exploded on me.

However, there have been some complaints about exploding Visionware (Google is your friend).

Some incidents can be attributed to thermal shock such as running cool water in a hot pot, or placing the hot item on a cool surface, or putting the cookware on a heat source with no water in it.

Also, if you have chipped, cracked, or scratched cookware, it is recommended that you discard it.

I would recommend carefully checking your cookware and discarding it if it is damaged.

You will want to avoid scratching it with metal utensils.

I have several of these pans because I tend to batch cook.

Corning no longer manufactures this product.

I purchased these pans for our boat, as space is limited. As I said, they cook well and stack neatly, but my concern was the handle. On my boat I can use three pans at a time, so when it comes to removing the pans from the burners you have to swap the handle with each pan. Well, the handle is much more difficult to use and position in the pan receptacle than one would think, so I contacted the manufacturer and tried to purchase another handle. The manufacturer, actually the importer...Made In China, told me they could not supply additional handles. I asked what would happen if I broke the handle, or worse yet, lost the handle, could they not supply a replacement? NOPE...no replacement, the only thing I could do is purchase a new set. This is a nice set of pans, but the complete lack of support on the part of the manufacturer/importer makes me question the wisdom of my purchasing decision. An $80.00 set of pans is dependent on a $5.00 handle. Hmmm....

This is a GREAT cookware set to have for the family camping trip! It's made of chef-quality, yet lightweight, stainless steel which makes it very easy to lift and easy to clean as well. It also stacks nice and neatly together so I'm able to store it a cabinet in our tent trailer the cabinet being on the small side and not very deep. On our last camping trip, I was able to cook more than enough food for our family of six, which includes four very hungry boys :) We even prepared a wonderful egg and pancake breakfast, using the smaller pots as mixing bowls (they have slightly rounded bottom edges on the inside making mixing and cleaning very easy) for the pancake batter and scrambled eggs, and then used the 3-quart pot along with the universal lid as a pancake warmer, and boy did that keep them piping hot on a very chilly morning. I highly recommend this set for a family looking for a quality camping cookware set that stores very easily!

This set is awesome. High quality stainless steel, handle is heavy duty, I would use this set in my home, if I didn't like it so much for camping.

It's definetly too heavy for backpacking, but for car-camping, it's just right.

We have used these pans now for 2 years on multiple short and long trips. The pans are great, they stack so nicely. We often just take the large pan, the small, the lid and the frying pan. The problem is the handle. As one reviewer noted, to put it on you have to turn it at a 90 degree angle to the pot. You also have to pull back on a spring latch. We don't have to deal with a campfire as we use a gas cooking stove but just maneuvering is a problem. Overlooking that (which is not easy), when the handle is attached, if you try to pur something out of the pot, it swings in the direction of the handle so you have to be incredibly careful of someone had a lap full of hot food. The swing is only about 30 degrees but it an issue every time you need to pour out of a pan with the handle. I have searched for a different style handle and used my primus one but it is too small. I don't want to have to replace these but I also am tired to fussing with them.

This cookware set is a wonderful set of stainless cookware. It has a very heavy gauge metal, great brushed finish on the interior that is easy to clean and doesn't cause the food to stick like a cheap shiny easily bent stainless pan from a budget dept store. The metal on the outside is polished so the cookware looks like it came out of your nice kitchen set. The only cheesy part of the set is the "multi-lid" which fits all but the largest 2 pans. The handle that everyone comments on is stable and functional but does have a moving part... which means it may break sometime...but that's ok because the pots can be picked up with a cheap $2 Coleman pot holder, available at nearly every budget discount store that sells camping supplies. The cheaper pot holder version fits easily into the designed holder mount on the pans as well as along the rims of the smaller pans. So, in short, I wouldn't worry about the handle problem. Not having handles allows this entire set to be easily stacked/nested inside the 2 largest pans. I was so impressed by the quality of the set I bought 5 more sets for my scout troop. It's that nice, and that affordable.

I am very happy with the Multiclad Pro cookware in general. This is a heavy pan (to be expected due to its size) but if you need a large saute pan this is a great size nice and deep. The rolled edge makes pouring very neat (it just takes 2 hands for me until most of the extra weight is removed thank God for the helper handle, a wonderful feature). It heats quickly and cleans easily but, as mentioned in other reviews, it does discolor on the bottoms interior turns blueish, exterior turns brownish from the application of heat (this is not an issue for me as I was looking for cooking ability not asthetics.)

One big beef I have is that the bottom is NOT flat and it wobbles on my glass top range. I have no doubt that this effects the even-ness of the cooking. We are planning a move and I am switching to a gas range otherwise I would have returned it and tried another one. (not a different brand)

I am an advid, experienced cook making most foods from scratch and I would recommend this product just be aware of some of it's limitations.

I do highly recommend the Multiclad Pro line it is a great product at a great price especially when compared to other "professional" quality cookware.

I think this cookware is a really great alternative to All Clad Stainless. I have three pieces of the Cuisinart Multiclad and they are all comparable to the All Clad in terms of performance. Careful you have to take care of these pans. Don't put salt in them unless there is boiling liquid or the pans will pit and I wouldn't recommend putting them in the dishwasher. Another comparable line is the Calphalon Tri-Ply.

Overall 23" (handle to handle). Pan 12.5" x 3.25" 5.5 quarts.

The size and depth is perfect for stove top or oven casseroles/stir-fry to feed a large family or for plenty of leftovers. Plenty of pan room to fry up to four hot sandwiches/French bread, 6 to 8 or more burgers, pancakes, fry an entire chicken with room to spare, etc.

The long handle is nice and the helper handle is a big help to maneuver a large fully loaded pan. Measure your oven to make sure this long handled pan will fit in your oven if you need it to.

This needs a 13 inch splatter screen. Many styles of screens, some with four 'feet' formed in the rim, and a style with tri-feet extension of the handle under the screen.

A splatter guard is nice, too.(three sided 'wall') Norpro-2063-Nonstick-Splatter-Guard. I use one like this all the time. My stove top is built in with a sit down bar behind it. Keeps the grease spatters off the bar.

As an addition to our newly renovated kitchen we purchased a set of Cusinart Multiclad Pro Stainless. The addition of the 5 1/2 quart saute pan has already been put to the test with the sauteing of five pounds of onions. The large surface area and the heavy bottom produced an excellent result with even cooking and no burning. We could have spent much more but I doubt we would have achieved any better result. The rest of the set also performs well.

I must say that i am thoroughly pleased with this saute pan great heat transfer and it is easily cleaned. Even if you leave it till the next morning, a short soak in water will release all of the remains on the surface. Good fond development, deglazes easily, making sauces is a snap. looking to get the 3qt version someday for samller tasks. After spending thousands of dollars over the years on calphalon products, I am now a cuisinart man. Too bad everyone except all-clad manufactures in china. really a shame. if you dont have the scarole for all-clad, this is a very good buy.

I love this utensil crock. Previously I went through other utensil holders, but because I cooked a lot none seemed wide enough to keep all of my utensils easily at hand. This one is easily the largest one I've found so if you have a LOT of utensils, this is the crock for you. I use this for quite a range of utensils from oversized spatulas to thongs to mini spatulas and the height works well for all.

I also appreciate that it is easy to clean. It's dishwasher safe and unlike a lot of utensil holders on the market, it doesn't have a ton of nooks and crannies that make it difficult to clean.

It's also a great buy if you have a set of Le Creuset cookware because it is made in the same colors so you can find something to match.

This is a great size for holding quite a number of utensils. The color is white, but not dead-white, so it blends in well. Like all Le Creuset products, it is fairly heavy so it won't tip over. The Le Creuset name only appears on one side, so you can decide whether you want to display that or not. I gave this as a gift and the recipient loved it.

I absoulutely love this crock!!! Since I love purple I'm always on the look out for anything purple. This is a very high quality stoneware. It has some weight to it, so it won't break easily. This is a great size to put in a good amount of untensils. The purple is shaded from top to bottom. It looks much better in person, the quality is excellent!!!!

Purchased: March 2013

Pros:

well made, good finish

attractive way to handily store utensils,

adequate size for several utensils,

recovers drawer space.

Cons: costs more than some other, but for me was worth the price.

Observations:

I have a Townhome with a fairly small kitchen, so space is at a premium. I bought this as a way to recover some drawer space. That worked out worked well, and I've found I prefer having those utensils on top of the counter right next to the stove so I don't even have to open a drawer.

I just love this crocket. It's heavy and large enough to hold a multitude of utensils. Comes in a lot of different colored but I love the classic white and it looks fabulous on my counter. A must have for all gourmet kitchens.

This Cuisinart Chef's Classic saute pan has quickly become my favorite pan. It's huge a full 12" across which makes it very versatile. The pan conducts heat extremely well and is oven safe to 500 degrees. The handle is very sturdy, reasonably comfortable, and stays cool (outside of the oven, of course). The lid fits tightly. Both the interior and the exterior are very shiny and attractive. All this and it's easy to clean. Yet this pan sells for just a fraction of the sexier brands like All-Clad or Calphalon.

The chief reason for the great price is due to the construction. This is known as a "disk bottom" pan because it has a highly conductive aluminum disk embedded in its base. The really expensive brands feature "cladding", where a layer of conductive metal (usually aluminum) is embedded throughout the entire pan. Although the cookware industry loves to say that disk-bottom pans are inferior, test after test proves this claim is untrue. After all, we don't cook on the sides of a pan; we only cook on the bottom. See Cook's Illustrated magazine, May/June 2003, for a great discussion of this.

There are a few reasons why this pan might not be right for you. This pan's size makes it fairly heavy, so if you have arthritis or weak hands, you might want to opt for a smaller pan. Similarly, this pan might not fit on those tiny stovetops or ranges that you sometimes see in "galley" kitchens in apartments. But if you want a large, durable, high-quality saute pan at a fraction of the cost of the big-name brands, this is the pan for you.

I'm tired of those non-stick pans that eventually lose their coating and thought that I'll try stainless steel pan for almost everything but frying an egg. Boy did I pick the right pan to start with! This pan, besides being beautifully made, is the perfect size for almost everything I cook. It's very heavy, but the helper handle helps. It conducts heat very well, so I no longer use the high setting on my gas stove or the food would burn. Despite being made in China, the quality is excellent. I'm sure it will last decades. My only complaint is that sometimes I wish the stainless steel cover is made of glass so I can see through. But, I'll still give it 5 stars because I'm very very happy with the design and quality.

All my Chef's Classic cookware looks and cooks wonderfully well and is normally a breeze to clean up. This Monster pan is no exception. Weighing in at close to 10 lbs., it is the senior edition of the highly rated Cuisinart 3 1/2-Qt. Saute Pan. If you have a small range, the size of this (a full 12" accross) may crowd out some other burners, so beware.

I discovered thet the dome cover for the shallow Cuisinart 12" 'everything' pan also fits this pan and thus makes it a good candidate for a dutch oven.

Now for the bad news: Amazon did not see fit to ship this within a padded box. As a result, the pan arrived with a dent in the 'dripless' rim. I will likely not return it, but will give Amazon some 'direct' feedback.

(9/15 Update): Amazon made a very positive and 'generous' response to my complaint. Thank you Amazon! Also, both the 3 1/2 Qt. and 5 1/2 Qt. saute pans are on 'super' sale. Do yourselves a favor and buy both.

(9/23 Update): Because of the lower 'super' price (currently $27.99), I ordered two more as gifts. One shipped with the Cuisinart retail box packed in a nicely padded Amazon box and the other was shipped only in a Cuisinart retail box that had split open. Fortunately there were no dings or dents since this is a very sturdy, hefty item. I wonder if Amazon owns the warehouses its goods ship from? If it does, Amazon needs to try for consistency in its packing.

02/09/06: Here's an oddity: After several 'hefty' price hikes, Amazon is now hawking this 'monster' pan for $5 less than the 3 1/2 quart pan. Go figure!

Honest reviews on Cuisinart Chef's Classic Saute Pans

I purchased this product as well as several other Cuisinart cookware products to replace nonstick T-Fal cookware. The stainless steel mirror finish is beautiful and the pan just feels solid. I sauteed some fish and true to the description very little heat was necessary to heat the pan. I found this out after applying a little too much heat and crusting on some burnt cheese. Cleanup was a breeze with just soap, water, and a dishcloth. The handles are securely fastened and I expect them to last for years. This pan is sized so that you may use it for frying with almost a 10 in diameter or as an additional pot since the sides are nearly 3 inches deep. This was a good decision and a nice product at a good price.

I was reluctant to consider this pan based on it's low price. I'm glad I took the chance! I already own a couple All Clad stainless pans, which I love, but when I priced their 5qt saute pans I balked. In my research I came across this pan, read the stats and figured I must be missing something. The All Clad stainless 5 qt. saute is like $200!! This pan with similar features was $40. I ordered it from Amazon thinking I could easily return it if it didn't pan out. Well I haven't returned it. It's quality cookware. It's heavy, cooks evenly, has 2 riveted handles and comes with a tight fitting stainless lid suitable for use on other pans. I am shocked at the value this pan offers.
