This glazed tagine is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. The dish is deep enough to accommodate veggies and meat, and the conical lid can be lifted from the top without any mitten. The hole on the cone allows the steam to get out but still keeps the moisture inside. What I love about this tagine is that it retains the heat long after I removed it from the stovetop.

The tagine arrived very fast and very well packed, but it did not contain any care instruction. Not a problem. A quick Google showed me that I needed to season it first. I submerged the tagine overnight in the biggest bucket I could find. The next morning, I rubbed the entire tagine (inside and out) with the olive oil before putting it in the cold oven. I turned on the oven to 300 degree for 2 hours. I let it cool down in the oven, then wash and dry. Now it's ready for cooking! I use my tagine with a heat diffuser (costs only few dollars) in a medium to low heat setting. The food is ready in two hours, from my stovetop to the dinner table -very simple and delicious. Highly recommended!

PS this tagine is considered "extra large." The company also offers "Large" size tagine for $10 less. If you are considering buying tagine, this one is a much better deal because the dish is deeper so that liquid won't seep out. (The other dish is more shallow.) Cleanup is a breeze! Make sure it's completely dried before storing away.

With a little prep work and research on the internet, we were able to make sure that our tagine was set to go. Be sure to follow some online instructions before you use it. It requires some soaking in water, covering in oil and heating (my girlfriend did most of the prep work). After three dishes made so far, it works like a charm and we've had no problems with it so far.

I cannot begin to express how disappointing this tagine has been. I ordered this as a gift for my husband. He has traveled the world and is always excited by any opportunity to try new foods. When the box arrived, I was impressed with the care they took in shipping. When my husband opened the box we were both impressed with how lovely the tagine was. It was very handmade looking and rustic (we appreciated this a lot). There were no instructions provided, however my husband is a planner by nature and obsessively researches everything. We spent time researching dishes and spices and how to season and prep our tagine carefully. The vendors own instructions on Amazon clearly state that it is for cooking ON or IN the stove. It also says that no diffuser is needed when cooking with electric or glass stovetops. Our oven has a glass top but we even went the extra mile and contacted the maker of our stove to find out the actual temperatures that line up with the number indicators on our burners. We were told that 5 is around 295 degrees. We decided on a Moroccan Chicken dish and cooked it slowly for 1.5 hours on 3 and 4. We turned down the tagine to the lowest setting for approx. 15 minutes before serving. When my husband removed the lid we saw a huge deep crack that went completely through the base. It was only after washing it that we saw the extent of the crack. It ran from the center to the rim of the base and even went around the base halfway.

We emailed the vender for a return. Their response was to ask what temp we cooked on and if the crack was leaking. We supplied the information and they responded by telling us that it is recommended to only use the tagine in the oven as it is not in direct contact with heat. I was flabbergasted! Why would you recommend this and not inform potential buyers of this information on the items page? They also stated that UPS will not pick up the package unless the original packaging was included. Of course we threw away the (plain) brown shipping box and bubble wrap along with all the other present packaging the day after Christmas. They then stated that they do not accept returns for used items (cooking once with great care is used?). They have offered to replace the base. We feel that isn't good enough. I wanted a tagine that we could cook on our stove and oven with and have flexibility. There are certainly tagines out there that can do all of that. We wanted something authentic and a fun cooking experience and instead we have ending up with a huge headache. I would certainly not recommend this tagine to anyone in good conscience!

I love this Tagine. We followed the marinating instructions and used a big tupperware storage container to soak the tagine in. We did have to open the hole on the top a little more since the glaze covered it. Every dish we cooked in the tagine has been fabulous. Since a lot of liquid is produced during cooking, I always leave out the addition of liquid if it calls for it in the recipe. I love combining my ingredients with William Sonoma's tagine spice or jars of tagine sauce. Only negative is that even though this is extra large, you can only cook for about four adults with this Tagine.

Other than being really low quality which is really to be expected in this price, I received the first set, where 2 of the lids just do not fit the pots, one of them (lid or pot) is not exactly round, you cannot close the lid. Amazon sent out a replacement, exactly the same issue in the 2 large pots. The small ones are fine, sort of, just cheap and not exactly tight fitted with the lids.

I needed a set of large casseroles, usually the sets come with at least 3 sizes and pans I do not need. I needed a large dutch over/casserole and purchased this because it was cheap but also because of the sizes. However I am really disappointed since this is the 2nd set that came and it's like they are all like that.

I am waiting to see what the 3rd one will be like... what a hassle.

Got my pans in 3 days, opened it and feel in love with it, its smooth and thick like a good pan should be! I haven't used it yet but I can tell it will work great and its not like the other black non-stick pans you get at stores that scratch easily, the coating is a mix of silver and black in the pan it feels smooth and sturdy. I feel these pans will last you a long time as long as you take care of it , use silicone spatulas only (Dollar Tree ones works great!)

November 2010I purchased this rack to replace another organizer that didn't work quite right. Although it is smaller than I had thought it would be, it has plenty of room to organize all of my stoneware and cookie sheets. The previous system I used didn't hold up under the weight of the stoneware pizza stones, but this one is doing its job beautifully.

August 2011After months of abuse this rack continues to stand strong. It is currently holding 2 pizza stones, a stoneware cookie sheet, a stoneware bar pan and numerous metal cookie sheets. I wish I had found this before and saved myself years of frustration.

I have hundreds of dollars invested in the best baking pans money can buy. For years I've had them sliding off shelves, stacked in cupboards, driving me crazy, but I've never found a rack that would accommodate them in an organized fashion.... until I found the Copco Adjustable Bakeware Organizer. I ordered 2 of these for my new over-fridge cabinet, and they have been great! The wires are good and sturdy; I have a LOT of bakeware and I fit all the cookie sheets and pizza sheets and pizza stones and thinner items in the different dividers, and put the muffin tins and fatter things in between the two units. You can remove a single wire to create an extra-large space, but this was a better use of space, to me. I haven't actually installed it, and it does not seem to budge on its rubber feet. I'd rather not have to screw into my new cabs if I can avoid it!

I chose to install the rack on the wall in a lower kitchen cabinet. My biggest complaint was that the base part of the rack was an inch or two thick and the very short screws were extremely hard to place since the holes were set in so deep. I was also missing a screw from the packaging, but I will admit that it still seems stable without the 4th. The shelves themselves seem very sturdy once they are installed. I think a couple of very small design changes could make installation much easier without compromising stability.

First, I realize this is adjustable, but I don't feel I'm getting the most bang for my buck if I don't get to use the whole product. The slots are very narrow, much to narrow for a cake pan or even a pie pan. It is nice for the flatter bakeware like cookie sheets. We bought several brands and this was my least favorite, I prefer the brands with wider bands. It is sturdy and heavy.

I grew up with a mother who baked pies. Cream pies were my personal favorite, plain and coconut cream. My mother made them from scratch and from my early youth I would stand at the stove on a chair stirring the cream custard in a double boiler, waiting anxiously for it to thicken. It seemed interminable then, in what I recall to have been a metal pot with an insert. In our marriage we have carried on the tradition and have had many different double boilers over the years, including aluminum and glass ones which we had up until the purchase of an induction range which precluded the use of glass. We have had All-Clad Ltd cookware almost since it was introduced, but it too had to be replaced, being mostly aluminum and not compatible with induction technology. We chose the All-Clad Copper Core induction compatible, and the double boiler seemed an extravagant, somewhat over the top purchase.

Now, I have been stirring custards for pies and ice creams for fully sixty years in double boilers, and having tried occasionally to do it without one, on the stove directly, I would do it no other way.

This double boiler with the porcelain insert is the best one I have ever used, hands down. I was a bit incredulous at first, but find it does the job both quickly and uniformly and without complications, providing a smooth custard every time. One must be cautious not to over fill the bottom pot to avoid splatter. The insert also does not seem to fit the nearly same size sauce pan, which is too snug a fit. As with all of the All-Clad line the workmanship is impeccable and flawless.

Is it worth the price? All my other pots and pans are already passed on to the second generation and still as good as new. With a little care, these items may well last forever. This set will undoubtedly outlast me.

The food prepared will only fail if the cook does. I highly recommend this product.

We bought our All-Clad copper-core cookware set from Williams Sonoma, and I wanted to add a matching double boiler to the set. I found the best price on Amazon and made the purchase. The double boiler matches my set perfectly.

The All-Clad copper-core double boiler, made in the USA, weighs 6 lb 11 oz when fully assembled and empty. The box contains a 2-quart sauce pot, dishwasher safe porcelain insert with stainless steel handle, and two stainless steel lids. The insert lid is slightly smaller than the sauce pot requires, so it's nice this set comes with two. Although, it would have been nicer if the double boiler was designed to work with one lid.

The sauce pot, identical to the one included in the set, is constructed copper sandwiched between stainless steel resulting in a durable pot with even heat distribution. Attached to the pot with rivets is a thick stainless steel handle. The heavy porcelain insert is about 5/8 inch thick and also has a riveted stainless steel handle attached to the bowl with a clamped band of stainless steel. The lids are made of thinner stainless steel with a riveted sturdy handle in the center.

All in all, the All-Clad copper-core porcelain double boiler is a nice addition to our copper-core cookware set. It's not a commonly used piece, so I like that I can use the sauce pot separately. However, when I do need a double boiler this one gets the job done. If you're looking for a double boiler to match your copper-core set or if you just want a quality double boiler, look no further. This All-Clad copper-core porcelain double boiler is a sure bet.

I know, I know, dimensions are always included in product descriptions, but I always have a hard time wrapping my head around what size something actually is. I've been disappointed before when items are smaller than expected, and I figured when this crock arrived I would have to throw out half my utensils. Not so! This thing is huge! It held all my stuff, with enough room left over that I don't drag half of them out when I try to grab a spatula. It's also plenty wide and heavy that it stays put when you pull out your utensils. I bought this and the spoon rest in gold, and the canisters in red, and I have that nice Fiesta look for a fraction of the price. Definitely a good buy!

The Signature tool jar, Sorrento pattern, is the perfect compliment to the canisters. I purchased this pattern in Ruby and the color is vibrant without being fire engine red. It is a wide mouthed jar, so will hold quite a few tools. I get compliments on this stoneware every time someone comes into my home.

Like another reviewer, I liked this tool jar, but found it was not the color pictured; in particular, it did not match the gold Sorrento canisters and spoon rest that I ordered. The others were a fairly uniform yellow Dijon mustard color, as in the photos, but this piece, also described as gold, was more of a slightly orangey gold color, like the old appliance color known as harvest gold. Otherwise it is lovely and of a generous size. I am disappointed that I have had to return it. It would be great if the manufacturer offered a set including the canisters and tool jar, to ensure that everything matched.

This does the job but you have to be firm with your thumbs to hold this against the pot and be sure there is absolutely NO gap between the pot and the strainer at the bottom because items will fall out. In my case elbow macaroni. I am sure it would be great with bigger items.

I have had this pot rack since 1985! It is still going strong. I just ordered an additional hook for a new pot. To me, this is one of the advantages of this system: after all these years, the items are still available.

The version I have has a wooden shelf on top instead of metal. The rack is VERY sturdy and endlessly adjustable. I now have 12 pots and pans on mine. Pots that are similar can be nested close together. I really like this oven liner. I put it on the bottom of my oven under the burner, and it is thick and heavy duty enough to lie flat. Spills wipe up easily, and because of the dark color if there are any stains remaining they don't show. I had previously used a much thinner oven liner that was a light tan color. It was so thin that it didn't lie flat on the bottom of the oven, and even though the spills did wipe up very easily, the light color showed any stain that remained. I expect this to last a long time.

I probably spent too much time researching this item. I think folks that have it stick to the bottom of their oven must have bottom coils. When i first pulled it out of the box it seemed very thin and flimsy. Yet it works great in our oven and is easily removed and cleaned. Troublefree for last 6 months.

Another use for oven liners is when you adhere Wonder Under or Heat n Bond onto fabric if you put the liner under the material you are ironing the fusible web to and on top of the material then the iron on adhesive doesn't ruin or mess up your iron or your ironing board. It is great to work with! I have not used this particular liner but I just bought a couple as gifts b/c a few people stated they are thin. Sounds perfect for my needs.

This is quite simply the best pan I have ever used. Beautifully crafted stainless steel, I don't know if it is worth $200, but if any pan is, this is it! I wanted them to replace their non-stick unhealthy skillet so we got them this. They have an old gas burner stove-top and the flame is pretty narrowly spaced so I was concerned that the 3-layer pan wouldn't heat even;y. Sounds like this one does heat evenly for them.

Yep, these ain't cheap but if your serious about your cooking and enjoy your time in the kitchen whisking up your favorite recipe you should consider investing in high quality cookware.

For years I hesitated and settled for good quality imitations such as the Emeril's cookware but finally decided to treat myself to the real thing and find out if they are worth the high prices. Yes they certainty do. No hot spots, better results at lower heat, tight lids that allow even lower heats due to fantastic heat retention (just use a higher initial temperature put the lid on and reduce to low/medium and you get a better result than having to use med/high on other less efficient wares)

I got the same satisfaction than when I decided to buy chef quality knives ... Once you cut and dice with a "real pro knife" you know why it cost $250.

I think of these pots as an investment and a heirloom to pass on to my kids. These things are so well built that you know they will last forever (proper care of course)

I read reviews stating that you will do just as good with the classic trii-ply stainless but these are truly a step ahead. How can two layers of aluminum not be better than one? It keeps a uniform heat over the entire surface and sides at lower temperatures, perfect for braising, slow cooking, stews etc and also quickly searing and pan frying without hot spots trying to shuffle the food around so that each gets a shot at it ... With these the heat is uniform all around, just don't crowed the pieces during the searing process.

Yep I did pay a small fortune for a custom hand picked set but these are worth every penny.

Btw don't get drawn into buying the "sets" you don't really save much except if you really need the huge 8 and 12 qt stock pots and prefer frying pans over skillets.

I selected the 11 and 13 inch skillets with lids, the 1.5 and 3 qt sauce pans, the 3qt casserole steamer combo, the 4 qt sauté pan, the 6 qt deep sauté pot and 6 qt fry basket. That's the equivalent of 16 pieces for the price of their advertised 14 piece set. FYI I keep my Emeril's 6 qt stock pot that I will use for deep frying on my induction portable burner (it has a copper core and I won't suffer if it gets stained with grease frying at higher temperatures)

I prefer skillets and after researching realized that the 13 inch can also be used as a paella pan as they are similar except for the handle.

Word of caution, these are heavy, best suited for men or strong women not afraid to handle them.

I have only rated it 4 stars so far simply because i haven't used it yet. I was super excited to receive it yesterday and wanted to cook something right away, but the girlfriend and i ended up going to Chipotle. Anyways, i'll tell you my first impressions. First off, it is super heavy. I played college football, and i have a tough time holding it even when it is empty and doesn't have the lid on it. I will gladly adapt to the weight of it cause i think it'll perform well. However, the weight and construction i think will be a testament to the durable quality of it. It has a lifetime warranty that i doubt it will need. It comes with instructions on how to use it, clean it, etc.. and i plan on following them so i can have this thing forever. But like i said, it is really heavy so if you are a 90 pound grandma, i recommend against buying this item. Can't wait to use it!!

Our only disappointment was the bell does not move smoothly as the swivel points are rough and will need grinding and sanding. Good value for the price but expect to do some work.

How do you assemble it? No directions and random parts thrown in the box? Like 5 nuts that don't fit any bolts? No idea!

This was a perfect example of what I feel was a bait and switch. Will always wonder what the Cajun Dinner Bell would of been like. Once burnt by that seller I will never know. I did not receive the Cajun dinner bell. Was switched to the Independence Bell 1776. If I would have wanted that bell I would of ordered it over the Cajun bell. (Independence Bell) Which is a cheaper bell, very poor quality, was bought for a gift and no way could you give this bell as a gift. The bell hung at a 15 degree list (tilt) in the cradle and the paint is coming off the product.
