I have been quite a keen home baker now for several years and must have used miles of baking parchment and greaseproof paper over the years as well as numerous baking trays etc. I have been wondering about buying a reusable silicone baking sheet for a while but thought they were maybe a bit of a gimmick. How wrong I was (I'm very pleased to say !) This sheet, tray, mat or whatever you want to call it is fantastic. I have used it to bake bread rolls, cookies, biscuits and even a small pizza and so far everything has turned out just right. I wasn't sure if it would bake the base properly but it does an excellent job. The things come out of the oven with a lovely crisp even bake and nothing has even stuck slightly. We all know sometimes the paper can catch on the bottom of your biscuits and you don't really want a mouthful of paper when you're munching away, but the items simply slide off this sheet effortlessly. It also cleans up very easily so no more tedious scraping baked on debris from my trays. So if you're undecided about getting a new silicone sheet don't wait any longer just buy this one, you will be glad you did and wonder why it took you so long to get one.

Incredibility fast shipping. I ordered this mat and had it in 27 hours flat without the expedited shipping option. This is the first silicone baking mat I've tried and boy am I glad. I've always enjoyed baking but the hassle of having to scour sticky remnants off aluminium trays held me back from doing more. Now this isn't a problem any more. I just give my mat a good wipe with warm soapy water and it comes up clean with a minimum of effort. The mat itself is a nice, attractive, vibrant color. As for its performance,cookies and pizzas and even quick things like battered chicken bites for the kids, they all come out of the oven with an even crispy bake. I've even got my young daughter interested in baking now and we're both looking forward to seeing how different things we try will turn out with our baking mat. Oh, and I think I can even leave her to do the washing up well it's so easy!

I ordered this as a gift for my wife and we really have both enjoyed using it tremendously! This high grade quality professional baking mat lives up to its name in every way. My wife used the mat initially to bake cookies for our family. We were both surprised at how easy it is to use... just place the mat on the baking tray instead of aluminum foil. With no grease and no additional sprays the cookies baked evenly and cooled nicely without sticking to the mat or leaving any piece of the cookie behind. Next I used the mat myself to bake a tray of tater tots for the kids. With no mess or fuss the tots baked evenly all over and rolled right off the mat onto the plate. Normally I'd have to scrape the tots with a spatula and many would end up broken stuck and unevenly cooked. This is now becoming a go to tool in our kitchen for all of our baking needs. I've been using silicone baking mats instead of aluminum foil for the past few years since learning about the health risks of aluminum, and recently needed to replace one of my mats. I found the BrightSpring mat to be well made with a brightly colored border and name as shown but otherwise plain. I was disappointed it is not dishwasher safe, but many others are not dishwasher safe either. I will update later as to how it wears with time!

I was not familiar with the Prolectrix brand it's made in China. Supposedly they make the same ones or components for other manufactures.

I have cooked 3 times in it and so far so good. Chicken and Beef turned out good and so did the beef stew. This is a stand-alone electric unit which adds a lot of safety to it as it controls its own temperature so less of a chance of boil over or overpressure. It also has some easy cook buttons like a microwave for Chicken, Vegetables , Rice and fish etc.

I am sure there are similar models made of more quality for substantially more costs.

Documentation Scant!

Water collector attachment feels a little loose. Works just doesnt fit as it should. May just be unique to the unit I bought.

Support I didnt see a red card or number to call for technical support.

Other than that it is definitely a good value. As this is a recent purchase and review I will update this in a few months after extended use.

The stockpot arrived on time, but the handle was badly chipped down to the bare metal. I feel the damage should have been caught at the factory level. I kept the pot since I did not want to hassle with shipping it back. Also this was when many companies were discontinuing carrying her product, so I felt replacement would be difficult.

I got this as a Christmas gift, and I christened it right away with a cup of tea! It whistles wonderfully, and it is absolutely beautiful. It heated very quickly and silently, with none of the popping or clicky noises that cheap kettles make. I wish I knew where Berghoff's products are manufactured, because I'm hoping it lives up to the company name. For now, it is very nice, and appears to be well made. The only tiny problem is that the removable whistle can be a bit awkward to get in, but you get used to it. I feel that this is worth the money, and I hope I can keep it in the family for a long while.

EDIT: On May 15th, not even 5 months after recieving this kettle, the handle on the lid snapped off. I'm not sure if this is just one faulty piece or if they are all badly welded, but I am quite upset as I really did love this kettle. Trying to contact the company is extremely difficult, and I don't know if I'm going to be able to get a new one.

EDIT #2: Tried very hard to contact the company, but none of their phone numbers work! I called Amazon customer service, and even though the product is 4 months past its return date, they sent me a new one and a return label because it qualifies as defective merchandise. Thank you so much, Amazon!

EDIT #3: The replacement kettle broke in the exact same way. That little handle on top is does not even have enough surface area to hold a good weld, and it just snaps right off with a little bit of force; how are you supposed to get the kettle open? It's ridiculous. Called Amazon support, but since it's almost a year past the return date, they could not do much. Got a little help for the purchase of a new one, but I'm very sorely disappointed in Berghoff. Will not be buying anything from their company in the future.

This is a beautiful tea kettle, like a work of art on your stove. I had purchased one of these several years ago (I think from Costco) and had a love/hate relationship with it. My biggest complaint was that the handle gets very hot, hot enough to where you really should use a pot holder to pick it up. I also didn't like that you needed two hands--one to remove the whistler before pouring. And the whistler was a pain sometimes to put on the spout because if it isn't aligned just right, it doesn't snap in. The plus about this kettle (still talking about the first one I owned) was the high handle. We use purified water for our hot beverages and fill up the tea kettle from a large jug with a spout. It fit easily under the spout and I never even thought about it. So after several years, I saw another tea kettle at Costco that had a silicone-coated handle and a lever for lifting up the whistle. This crock looks nice, but it is smaller than I envisioned and does not fit as many utensils as I had hoped. I have about 13 different wooden utensils in it and it could probably fit a few more, but I didn't want to jam it up with stuff. Still, the quality is good and if you have a small amount of counter space, this crock should fit the bill. But don't assume this crock is made in France, like many Le Creuset products are. The utensil crocks come from Thailand or China, which is a bit disappointing.

I use this to store dish washing brushes at the sink-side. It is solid and can hold the weight of several brushes. It measures 6" tall by 4" wide at the base. The center narrows slightly which reduces how much you can store of any item that sits upright in it however, I don't think it impedes the content significantly. The tapered center, ridges and "Crueset" name as design elements are a worthwhile tradeoff for the extra space. The yellow is a pretty color for the kitchen. It is much like the color of lemons.

I bought this thing for making french fries. It's nice that you can fit a medium sized potato in it, but the handle bent the first time I used it. I couldn't bend it back without tearing up the potato cutter further. I will likely be returning it.

I have used this handy kitchen tool several times per week for nearly a year now. I love this thing!

I have shredded cabbage with it, diced onions, cubed potatoes, sweet potatoes, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash; cut peppers, cucumbers, carrots and more. The secret to success is to only use firm, FRESH produce. If your produce is starting to get a little soft or rubbery, you'll be better off reaching for a knife instead.

So, when you first get that sack of potatoes, pull this puppy out to cut and freeze your own french fries! I toss them into ice water immediately after cutting, then double ziploc bag handfuls of them and freeze.

To dice or cube, make the first regular cut, then take those, rotate 90 degrees, reinsert and cut again. Safe, effortless, quick and easy meal prep for the home cook at a reasonable cost.

The unit sits comfortably and solidly on the counter with the base rubber grip. The stainless steel construction is not industrial strength, but not flimsy either, and is adequate for its purpose. Highly recommend.

I was excited to find a stainless model of the Progressive Potato Cutter but ended up disappointed by this unit. Although it's mostly metal, it still has a rather flimsy feel to it. I tried both potatoes and yam fries but found it too difficult to use. Larger spuds need to be cut down to fit, and it's just hard to get enough leverage from this design. Works okay on smaller potatoes but 2" fries just aren't as much fun to eat. Returned it, still looking...

This Cuisinart Chef's Classic saute pan has quickly become my favorite pan. It's huge a full 12" across which makes it very versatile. The pan conducts heat extremely well and is oven safe to 500 degrees. The handle is very sturdy, reasonably comfortable, and stays cool (outside of the oven, of course). The lid fits tightly. Both the interior and the exterior are very shiny and attractive. All this and it's easy to clean. Yet this pan sells for just a fraction of the sexier brands like All-Clad or Calphalon.

The chief reason for the great price is due to the construction. This is known as a "disk bottom" pan because it has a highly conductive aluminum disk embedded in its base. The really expensive brands feature "cladding", where a layer of conductive metal (usually aluminum) is embedded throughout the entire pan. Although the cookware industry loves to say that disk-bottom pans are inferior, test after test proves this claim is untrue. After all, we don't cook on the sides of a pan; we only cook on the bottom. See Cook's Illustrated magazine, May/June 2003, for a great discussion of this.

There are a few reasons why this pan might not be right for you. This pan's size makes it fairly heavy, so if you have arthritis or weak hands, you might want to opt for a smaller pan. Similarly, this pan might not fit on those tiny stovetops or ranges that you sometimes see in "galley" kitchens in apartments. But if you want a large, durable, high-quality saute pan at a fraction of the cost of the big-name brands, this is the pan for you.

I'm tired of those non-stick pans that eventually lose their coating and thought that I'll try stainless steel pan for almost everything but frying an egg. Boy did I pick the right pan to start with! This pan, besides being beautifully made, is the perfect size for almost everything I cook. It's very heavy, but the helper handle helps. It conducts heat very well, so I no longer use the high setting on my gas stove or the food would burn. Despite being made in China, the quality is excellent. I'm sure it will last decades. My only complaint is that sometimes I wish the stainless steel cover is made of glass so I can see through. But, I'll still give it 5 stars because I'm very very happy with the design and quality.

All my Chef's Classic cookware looks and cooks wonderfully well and is normally a breeze to clean up. This Monster pan is no exception. Weighing in at close to 10 lbs., it is the senior edition of the highly rated Cuisinart 3 1/2-Qt. Saute Pan. If you have a small range, the size of this (a full 12" accross) may crowd out some other burners, so beware.

I discovered thet the dome cover for the shallow Cuisinart 12" 'everything' pan also fits this pan and thus makes it a good candidate for a dutch oven.

Now for the bad news: Amazon did not see fit to ship this within a padded box. As a result, the pan arrived with a dent in the 'dripless' rim. I will likely not return it, but will give Amazon some 'direct' feedback.

(9/15 Update): Amazon made a very positive and 'generous' response to my complaint. Thank you Amazon! Also, both the 3 1/2 Qt. and 5 1/2 Qt. saute pans are on 'super' sale. Do yourselves a favor and buy both.

(9/23 Update): Because of the lower 'super' price (currently $27.99), I ordered two more as gifts. One shipped with the Cuisinart retail box packed in a nicely padded Amazon box and the other was shipped only in a Cuisinart retail box that had split open. Fortunately there were no dings or dents since this is a very sturdy, hefty item. I wonder if Amazon owns the warehouses its goods ship from? If it does, Amazon needs to try for consistency in its packing.

02/09/06: Here's an oddity: After several 'hefty' price hikes, Amazon is now hawking this 'monster' pan for $5 less than the 3 1/2 quart pan. Go figure!

I purchased this product as well as several other Cuisinart cookware products to replace nonstick T-Fal cookware. The stainless steel mirror finish is beautiful and the pan just feels solid. I sauteed some fish and true to the description very little heat was necessary to heat the pan. I found this out after applying a little too much heat and crusting on some burnt cheese. Cleanup was a breeze with just soap, water, and a dishcloth. The handles are securely fastened and I expect them to last for years. This pan is sized so that you may use it for frying with almost a 10 in diameter or as an additional pot since the sides are nearly 3 inches deep. This was a good decision and a nice product at a good price.

I was reluctant to consider this pan based on it's low price. I'm glad I took the chance! I already own a couple All Clad stainless pans, which I love, but when I priced their 5qt saute pans I balked. In my research I came across this pan, read the stats and figured I must be missing something. The All Clad stainless 5 qt. saute is like $200!! This pan with similar features was $40. I ordered it from Amazon thinking I could easily return it if it didn't pan out. Well I haven't returned it. It's quality cookware. It's heavy, cooks evenly, has 2 riveted handles and comes with a tight fitting stainless lid suitable for use on other pans. I am shocked at the value this pan offers.

It's amazing how something small like this can make cooking so much easier. All cookers that I know of come with a little metal removable plate in the bottom that keeps the food from sitting and burning directly on the bottom. However, that doesn't work for everything. For example, I like to pressure cook whole chickens, and do it quite regularly. I've been having to use one of those little petal-type steamers to keep the bird off the bottom. With this trivet, it's quite easy to simply place a bowl or small plate on the trivet, and put the bird on there. And actually, with my larger cooker, I can use an 8" pie pan and it'll catch chicken juice at the same time. This also has worked well for baking potatoes, where you normally wouldn't want the potato sitting in the hot water.

Someone handy at the tool bench could certainly make one of these if they had the right material. But I'm not that handy. I'm delighted Amazon sells this and as usual I got great shipping service.

This trivet seemed pretty flimsy looking, but has worked, as advertised, several times in my pressure cooker. There weren't many other options that I saw online, but it wasn't a problem because this tool works and is simple like it looks. I just set this trivet on the bottom of my cooker, add a tray and cook rice, pork loin etc. like a pro. It's a good deal.

This set had everything I was looking for in a set. I like the handles and the glass lids. They clean up easily, and do seem to conduct heat well, and it seems like I can use a slightly lower heat than I've done with T-fal.

The lids aren't tight fitting,but itt's adequate. One pot has a small area where the enamellooks "rough" or abnormal. One of the large pans has an extremely long scratch on it. It had to have come like that, but unfortunately I didn't notice either of these situations until the set was washed, dried, and the boxes put in recycling.It also seems that the enamel isn't very thick because I've already added a couple of scratches to it.

If you want a set that feels heavy and a thicker enamel coating, I wouldn't get it. But if you're looking for a set with lots of options at a moderate price, then I still think it's a good deal.

This is a great piece of cookware. It's excellent quality, dishwasher safe, and large enough to cook extra of anything. I am so happy I found it at Amazon and loved the price, too. [Edit 2/22/13] I saw some critical reviews due to this being "tall & skinny". I find that to be a plus. I can use this 8-qt with my 12-qt on burners that are adjacent. I wasn't able to do that before. Despite appearances, 8-qts is 8-qts and the pot will hold....8 qts. This is perfect for soups, stews, or anything else you want to make a big amount of. True, a turkey wont fit but don't you need a roaster for that?

Admittedly, my expectations were low, based on the performance of other cookware, and the mixed reviews of this item. However, I found the pan to be excellent. It does indeed work without any need for added fats. It cooks evenly. I can use a lower heat and get good results. It cleans easily-a little soap, a rinse, a wipe and it is ready to use again. I suspect those reviewers who reported difficulties with the pan after usage were putting it in the dish washer. No need for a dishwasher-it resists becoming soiled-and evidently the dishwasher CAN damage it.

I am very happy with this pan. I will likely buy more Calphalon cookware.

This little guy is the perfect size pan for an omelette. I don't want a pan too big for the task and this one fits the bill perfectly.

I would also use this pan for a glaze reduction because of the two-sided pouring spouts. It has a very nice non-stick surface and does not take up a lot of storage room. I ended up giving away all of my too big pans once the kids moved out. I can see making a small crepe in this pan too. Know that it is small and you might want to measure 8 inches across to be sure you really want this size. For me, it is exactly what I wanted. I love it!

I've used the baking sheet of this set maybe 10 times in my toaster over and the teflon is already flaking off. I was very suprised, since I've been careful cleaning it so as not to scratch the teflon, but the teflon is peeling off anyway. So, don't waste your money on this product.

Purchased this set and on the first use the non-stick finish, started peeling off. Not worth buying.

Very poor teflon quality-flaked from the first time I used them. The weight of the pan and design are nice though; too bad they didn't put a few more cents worth into the teflon coating!

"Non-stick" coating started coming off with first use. Rack is especially bad. Pans are rather lightweight and flimsy. Size is perfect, though. Wish I could find some good ones somewhere.
