They look very nice and are great for serving soups and stews. We pre-heat them in the oven for a while to help keep the soup hot when serving guests, but to avoid unpleasant surprises we do not pre-heat the lids (Lodge Logic L5MIC3 Miniature Lid). Be careful with what you put under these kettles if you pre-heat them, though; placing them straight on a plastic tablecloth may be a bad idea. (We use coasters we make from boards the kids break at tae-kwon-do.)

As is usual with this cast iron stuff, wash them ASAP and put a thin coat of vegetable oil on them to keep the seasoning healthy and the rust away.

This is my favorite bowl for serving soup. It keeps the soup hot down to the last spoonful. It is good for finishing onion soup in as it can handle being baked in the oven. It also can be used for small sides such as pork and beanson the grill. I have made individual round loafs of bread, individual meatloaf etc. My daughter has food allergies so I have even made her own personal serving of a hot dish minus the offending food and we all still get to eat the same meal. Wonderful dish. I have used mine for 20 years and still love it. Want to purchase some for my now married children.

I have two of these 1-pint iron pots (or "kettles," as Lodge calls them), having won them in a pizza recipe contest. The durability and longevity of cast iron is well known: as long as I keep them oiled and seasoned, they'll last for the rest of my life, and more. I live in an apartment upstairs from a family that has two little girls, and I love using these kettles to serve them desserts. A hot apple crisp is the perfect dish to make in these iron pots: fill each one with apple slices, sweetened with brown sugar and cinnamon; top with a crisp of mixed sugar, crushed walnuts or pecans, and butter; and heat it for 20 minutes in a 375 degree oven. We bought a few of these, and instead of making a big pan of chicken pot pie, I made individual servings in these pans. It didn't look like a very big serving until you started eating it. It was more than enough for one person. I put dough both inside and on the top of the pie. The only thing to watch is the legs. It's a little tricky to arrange the legs on the wire racks in the oven!

This thing is perfect for a cup-sized bean dip cooker/heater-upper. Super easy to clean. Nice addition to the kitchen and outdoor cooking supplies.

Definitely watch your level, though, as if you put an exact pint in this, it's likely to spill-over.

i.e. If using a standard 12oz. can of beans or soup, you should only put about half of the can (in) at-a-time.

The Nordic Ware Traditional Cookie Sheet, 13.5 X 14, is an excellent choice for those baking in today's better insulated, 30-inch ovens. I purchased this item after finding that my older, large AirBake cookie sheets went completely from front-to-back, if placed so the raised lip could be grabbed, in my new oven. This sheet fits the new oven well, but is only large enough to accommodate 9 cookies. Although imprinted with words indicating NordicWare classifies this as a large-sized baking sheet, the useable surface area is only 13" X 14." Personally, I would classify it as a medium-sized baking sheet.

I particularly like that the Nordic Ware Traditional Cookie Sheet is a nice medium weight. It does not take a weight-lifter to put it into or take it out of the oven. Nevertheless, it is still substantial enough so that it does not warp. Another feature, which is becoming difficult to find in reasonably priced baking pans, is the absence of any type nonstick coating. I use parchment paper on my baking sheets, but still prefer a traditional uncoated surface. Best of all these pans were manufactured in the United States.

If this pan had one drawback, it was that it had rough edges. Although these were not rough enough to scrape or cut the user, I felt this was a downside. This issue was easily solved by having my spouse buff them to a smoother finish. One of the raised lips was "dinged," but since performance was not affected I did not return it to Amazon or deduct from the rating.

I would recommend the Nordic Ware Traditional Cookie Sheet, 13.5" X 14", to anyone needing a quality, medium-sized baking sheet; I purchased two. For those preferring a larger baking sheet and who have an oven which can accomodate it, I recommend the Vollrath 14" X 17" baking sheet. I will be purchasing a second one soon that should round out my purchases of new cookie sheets.

Amazon shipped this with some other items on top of it, leaving it totally unprotected. The aluminum surface arrived with quite a few mars and scratches as a result, which is very disappointing.

After unboxing, I was quite pleased with how flat it was.

Sadly, that didn't last. After one test batch of cookies (11 minutes at 350), I pulled the sheet out and it was visibly quite warped. I set it down to cool and watched, amazed, as it writhed for almost a minute, flexing and snapping back, flexing and snapping back. I had the cookies on parchment paper due to the scratches, and they were actually bouncing around.

It has completely cooled overnight, and is now about 3mm out of plane. One use at a low temperature, and it's permanently warped.

I really wanted a flat aluminum cookie sheet, and took a bit of a leap on this one. It didn't specify the metal thickness anywhere in the product description, although several other reviewers describe it as "heavy." It isn't; I'd guess it is 18 gauge, which is probably the minimum acceptable thickness. For me, it's much too thin if this is the result. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Very nice sheet with great quality and made in USA. Used this sheet and one of my older sheets to make some sugar cookies and wow what a difference. Very even bake across the sheet unlike my other pan that had some hot spots and a darker cookie bottom. Whould buy another.

So I bought this to strain homemade yogurt. I already have two strainers but the mesh isn't fine enough to stop the loss of solids. So I researched it online and found I needed to have a "fine mesh" strainer, such as a bouillon strainer. Anyway, long story short... I bought this. It seems very durable and is really big... the mesh, however, is no different than any other strainer you'd find in any grocery/department store (save, that it is reinforced by an even bigger mesh).

As it stands, I'll never use this. Free to anyone who wants it I guess...

This is not really a non-stick pan at all.

All I did was attempt to fry some garlic in it once (not deep fry or anything, just saute in a little olive oil), the garlic stuck to the bottom of the pan, burned up, and would not come out wtihout scrubbing etc etc. and since then, whatever I try to cook to it, sticks to the bottom and burns, so I ended up throwing it out after only a handful of uses.

I bought this on Halloween, but I just recently started using it for quick things, like cooking beans, pasta, stir-frying vegetables, and the like. I've used this wok roughly ten or so times so far, and the nonstick coating is already peeling on the sides. I only paid $10 for this so I guess I'll just suck it up and buy a better quality wok, but this was very disappointing.

I just used this wok for the last time tonight. I was making a tofu stir-fry in peanut oil and the tofu stuck onto the pan like glue on paper. I even heated up the oil first. Using a silicone spatula to get it off broke the tofu into pieces and left the part in contact with the pan still stuck to the pan to burn. The tofu finally stopped sticking when the entire bottom of the pan was coated in burnt tofu/oil crust. Needless to say, eggs are a nightmare for this wok. The "nonstick" coating on mine is also damaged from wooden chopsticks. Mine is going to Goodwill, or the garbage; I haven't decided yet.

If you want a nonstick wok that will work on an induction cooktop (or any cooktop, for that matter), I recommend spending just a little bit more money and getting the Joyce Chen J22-0020 Pro Chef 9.5 Inch Peking Pan with Excalibur Non-stick coating. I have had the Joyce Chen wok for over a year now and I've used it almost every day since then, and it still looks likes new and could fry an egg with no oil at all, if I were so inclined. I bought this crappy one as a backup for when the Joyce Chen wok is dirty and I'm feeling too lazy to clean it, but I think I'll just get another Joyce Chen wok.

My husband is Mexican and is very picky about tortillas. We only eat corn tortillas and don't eat the preservative-laden tortillas in supermarkets. With a bag of Maseca, you can make as good tortillas as it is possible to obtain in the US outside of a huge Mexican enclave with a real tortilleria. We were stuck with an aluminum tortilla press for years and it's a total waste of time -you cannot get thin tortillas with it at all, because the press is simply too light. This one is terrific. You must use some type of liner, like a slit plastic bag ( a filmy produce bag works great) or wax paper to place the dough between, but you can get super, super-thin tortillas with it. If you have an aluminum tortilla press, give it to a kid to pretend making tortillas with Play-Doh and buy this one. You will not regret it. This is one of the best kitchen purchases I have made in the last ten years and it's an essential in our house.

I bought this item from target yesterday and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I use this to make Indian chappati/roti bread.

All you have to remember is to keep the dough ball inside the plastic sheets. This is also written on the box and the reason is very simple ... this is made of cast iron and if it is exposed to moisture it will rust.

Just remember that this is basically 6 inches in diameter !

This thing WORKS. My big drawback is it arrived in a HUGE box and arrived BROKEN the handles had been knocked off. HOWEVER, Amazon replaced it rather quickly, and the second one is great. As everyone else says, it is coated in oil, and that is all right. I washed it off and coated with with olive oil, like all my cast iron stuff (living in a humid environment, everything here needs a good coating of oil :-)). It works, and using the plastic bags is a good thing.

So, if you need one, and cannot live without fresh tortillas, get one. I missed Texas for a looooong time because of the tortillerias there....fresh tortillas at all restaurants and the food but now, I have learned to make salsa, fajitas, and a myriad of other good foods, so I am not so homesick :-)....especially since I can have my OWN corn tortillas!

I received my press yesterday and went right to work making tortillas. This was exactly what I needed.

Taking the advice of other reviewers here, I used a cut zip lock back with all sides split except for one to line the press.

The little dough balls need to be slightly to the back of the center of the press, closer to the hinge than the center.

Close the press, and wiggle the handle a bit from side to side to get them even thinner than just by pressing. I made both corn and flour tortillas and was very happy with my results.

The press had some sort of black grease on the inside of it, so when you first get it, wash it and carefully dry the edges that contact the plastic lining or any possible food! I'm sure they did that to keep rust down.

Perfect size for making chips or tacos or rolling up an enchilada. I think it should make nice pastry circles too perhaps for small pot pies. I played with one tortilla and one of the small corning rounds. It fit well.

I received my Imusa Victoria Cast Iron Tortilla press and it was in good condition. It seems like a high quality, well constructed item made of durable iron which looks to be chrome plated or coated with something because its a lot shinier and nicer looking than natural iron. I tried it out immediately after receiving it and was very impressed with how it worked. I saw other reviews that said people broke it when pressing tortillas but I'm really not sure how they did that. Its well made of solid iron with good hinge pins and takes practically no pressure at all to press even the thinnest tortillas. I knocked out about a dozen or so tortillas and it worked great on all of them. I would recommend washing it before use as it does arrive coated with oil or something but you should do that with any food prep devices anyway. I highly recommend this product. Definitely well worth the $$$

I used this for the first time this week. I wanted something rustic, so I decided to braise turkey thighs with some root vegetables. Preparing the dinner was almost as good as the finished product.

Because of All-Clad's technology, I didn't have to turn the range above medium to sear. There was ample space for browing both turkey parts. Adding color to the veggies was a quick process. Deglazing was very easy because the bottom was so roomy.

From the oven came evenly done, tender and juicy turkey thighs. Clean up was easy. Wiped it out and put it in the dishwasher. Didn't even need to use any polish.

My next task for this pan is a frittata.

This is the first silverware set that I just wanted to stare at rather than use. The finish on it is so shiny and perfect even months later they're just attractive! I will never settle for anything less than 18/10 silverware ever again. The difference is astonishing.

I would buy these again. I'd like to note that if you're doing anything "hardcore" like trying to dig ice cream out of a bucket, the square edges on the stem, while not sharp, will probably cause a degree of discomfort. In my opinion, the effect is minor compared to the positive aspects of this set.

I was excited to receive this pan and quickly tried it out. The cakes came out effortless with just a spirits of spray oil. However, the resulting shape wasn't really donut like because the wells of the pan are just to fat. It doesn't even pass off as a cute mini bundt pan look. If your not going for a donut shape or a mini bundt pan shape, it still doesn't look cute. It looks worse than a mini cupcake with hole in the middle. Good pan but not cute enough to use it over buying a real mini bundt or donut pan.

I've had my eye on this little pot for months before finally deciding to purchase. It's definitely less practical than a 1qt or 1.5qt saucepan, as it is quite small. But I'm so glad I didI use it all the time for heating up soup or leftovers (great alternative to microwaving, and absolutely quicker!), boiling just one or two eggs, and making hot cocoa or heating milk before frothing for lattesI LOVE the pour spout and it makes all of these jobs so much easier. I prefer the stainless line from All-Clad, and at this point don't like to deviate in order to keep the look uniform. It retains a mirror finish if washed correctly and really maintains its shine. But for some reasons the other All-Clad lines do not include the pour spouts in their version of this pot anyway, and the pour spouts are arguably the best feature! Now that it's fall, i may also use it to mull some cider for 1-3 people, make gravy and other sauces, or a quick cranberry sauce. It frees up my larger saucepans for other parts of a meal and takes up very little space on my pot rack. Would definitely buy again!!

Its All Clad, what else is there to say? These pans are wonderful to cook with. I learned about them when I took a cooking class at our local Chef School. If I had gas cooking I'd be in heaven, but I have electric coils so these work just fine. I love cooking with them and they are amazingly easy to clean, even when something gets burned. I use the same things I use on my Circulon non-stick pots and pans. If it discolors you just use a little "barkeepers friend" cleanser. I love that I can put these in a hot oven for the "finish cooking". I know these will last me a life time.

They arrive carefully packed in their own little soft bags. I felt like I had received a treasure.

I've been using these pans for about 3 months and I love them. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself, even if you decide to try just one pan. Well worth the investment.

So... Most folks would say your are nuts for spending the amount of money that All Clad charges for just one pot or pan. But then, these are also the folks who will spend $99 for a set of 10 pots and pans at a discount store and then end up replacing them often. They'll also complain because their food with cook unevenly, burn, the pans will warp, the handles become loose... well, you get the picture.

When you buy All Clad, you are buying for life. Really!

All Clad pots and pans have a lifetime warranty. Cook with them once and you'll wonder why you used anything else.

Ina Garten said that she herself uses All Clad pots and pans and Wusthof knives. She noted they are expensive, but they really are a one-time purchase that lasts a lifetime. Even she suggested you can start small and add to your collection as your budget and needs allow. That's what I did and I have no regrets.

All Clad heats evenly, is very solidly constructed and remember... If you ever have a problem, if anything fails, All Clad replaces it for you, for free, no questions asked. Who wouldn't like that?

You cannot go wrong with an All Clad purchase. The stainless steel is dishwasher safe, cleans up easily and cooks like a dream. There is a reason this cookware is used in professional and high-end kitchens.

Don't buy the cheap stuff any longer... Make the investment in quality. You'll be glad you did!
