This oval-shaped stainless steel roaster is heavy duty, good-sized, and good quality for the price. It will hold up to a 20 lb. turkey. The roaster comes in three pieces--the bottom pan, the top/lid piece, and a wire rack that fits in either the bottom or the top piece. The top/lid piece has a thin (approx 1-1.5 mm) encapsulated aluminum disc on its bottom and can be used by itself as an oval skillet on the stove top or as a shallow roasting/broiler pan in in the oven. The top piece inverts to be used as a lid on the bottom pan. The bottom pan has a much thicker encapsulated aluminum disc on its bottom. Note: neither aluminum disc is encapsulated in magnetic stainless steel so neither will function on an induction stove top but will work fine in the oven. The oval shaped wire rack is solidly built and has swinging lift arms which rest against the handle sides of the roasting pan when raised. These arms also have notches built into them which allows the rack to be raised about 3 inches above the bottom of the roasting pan and locked there by hooking the arm notches onto the top lip/edge of the bottom roasting pan. This allows drainage after roasting or better air circulation (and browning) while roasting. If used for elevated roasting in this way the top lid will not fit. Pretty cool rack feature.

The top and bottom pieces have riveted hollow tube handles. The approximate interior dimensions of the bottom pan are 16.75"Lx11"Wx5.75"H. The top pan's interior dimensions are slightly smaller and it's approximately 2.75" high. The exterior dimensions with the lid on are approximately 21"L (w/ handles) x 12"W x 9"H. The bottom pan had a slight wobble on my smooth top stove which actually flattened out when the pan was preheated to sear the roast I cooked in it. Searing worked well. The top piece had almost no wobble and fit the bottom piece well as a lid. This roaster works well as a giant dutch oven. Good product at a great price.

Just received my Precise Heat roaster, opened it, and it is absolutely what I had hoped for! Being very particular, I had searched all over town for a stainless steel roaster with lid and rack. What I found in the local stores (and I live in a large city) was totally unacceptable. It is easy to see that it will be extremely functional, it's the perfect size for me, and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I now cook only with stainless steel, and this roaster is a perfect match with my other cookware. Typically, the turkey comes out of the oven with "company" watching me. I'll be proud to "show off" this Thanksgiving with my new roaster! To add to my my pleasure, it was received on the seventh day after I purchased it. You won't go wrong if you buy this product. I purchased two of these pans, one as a gift. I have a small house and like having one quality pan which can perform several tasks ( same reason why I love Emile Henry FlameTop). The base and cover can both be used in the oven or on two burners. The internal, removable rack can be adjusted to several heights. Besides using the pan for baking and roasting, it also makes an excellent steamer for a lot of vegetables or seafood. The cover, also, is beautiful enough to be used as a platter for the table or to serve appetizers or a salad.

This roasting pan with lid is phenomenal quality. It is heavy but very well made. We were looking for a large pan for our 20# turkey and came across this pan. Decided to give it a shot even though the wife was hesitant to spend this much on an unknown when she could have bought an enameled pan. Don't regret it one bit. This pan helped our turkey come out perfectly moist, even in the white meat. This pan comes with the roasting rack but to make lifting off the turkey, I recommend a set of poultry forks. The pan cleaned up easily by hand though I believe the instructions say that a dishwasher cleaning is acceptable also. We left the pan to soak overnight in the sink and washed it out in the morning with no scrubbing. You will be impressed by the overall quality of this pan. There is just enough space between the lid and pan to allow you to insert a meat thermometer but not so much that the heat escapes. Great pan no regrets at all. Can't wait to use it again for a smaller turkey or ham.

This received top ratings from America's Test Kitchen (Cooking Illustrated & Cook's Kitchen). I was skeptical because I have tried about a dozen different grill pans in the 18 months, but none have really worked. This is the best I have used yet.

One was a square-ish pan and the corners snapped and became unusable. A common problem with many pans; they are welded and not stamped or folded. The welds usually break due to the high heat in the grill.

My old favorite is a bowl style; it's decent, but the problem is the top is bigger than the bottom so there is not a lot of actual grilling space. As a result you either have steamed veggies or you have to keep stirring.

The biggest complaint I have about most grill pans is the holes. Either they are too big and things like cherry tomatoes and sliced onions fall through, or the holes are too small. Small holes have many problems: difficult to clean, too many and the food gets too charred, too many holes and the metal separating the holes breaks...etc.

This pan is the best pan I have used yet. It it made of one piece with NO welds; the sides are bent up to create a lip and give the user an edge to flip and turn food. Also, the holes are not actually holes, they are slits. This means that one does not have to worry about food slipping through the spaces; from time to time sliced onions get stuck, but not really a BIG deal. It works great for Portabella mushrooms though it is not just for veggies, it's great for fish. Another big seller is that this is stainless and easy-ish to clean. It's not going to be non-stick easy to clean, you will have to scrub, but with a Brillo pad and elbow grease it's not a big deal.

The only complaint I have is the size. I have a two burner grill (unless I can talk my wife into getting a new grill next summer) and the pan can be a little too big for this type of grill. This "complaint" is not that big of a complaint since I usually don't do veggies at the same time as the meat.

If Weber updates this pan, I would recommend making it available in a smaller size and upgrading the metal; it's a little light weight. It's not bad, a little more heft would be nice.

If you have a grilling fanatic in your family (even if it's you) then buy this pan. It's great! You won't be disappointed. Get this pan.

When I was growing up in the Midwest the outdoor grill meant only one thing, MEAT! Fortunately people are becoming more sophisticated in what they choose to grill. Now it is not unusual to find fish, shrimp, mushrooms, asparagus, you name it, cooking right next to burgers and steaks.

The only problem is, of course, smaller foods can drop through the grill and onto the fire. I have purchased screens and disposable grill pans before and they worked just okay. When I saw this pan and how reasonable it was priced I had to get it.

I like the build of this pan, very heavy-duty without being too thick. The raised sides keep the food from falling off and makes the pan easy to carry. It takes a little effort to clean (I use a SOS pad) but that is to be expected.

I use a small Weber--the Q200-and it is just big enough for cooking for 4-5 people. This grill pan fits perfectly on it but if I want to cook both meat and veggies at the same time I would need a bigger grill. I thought that I would make this little video to show the pan in action. Thank you!

This was chosen by the equipment testers at "America's Test Kitchen"/"Cooks' Country" and I saw it reviewed and rated on one of their PBS shows. They rated it highest. It is a really efficient way to grill vegetables. I just clean zucchini, peppers, mushrooms, asparagus, etc., toss them in a very small amount of olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper and fresh herbs. I arrange them on the grill pan for my husband to cook after he's finished cooking the meat or fish. The result is delicious, cooked just to the preferred doneness and without heating or steaming up the kitchen. The small openings in the bottom of the grill let the vegetables brown and carmelize just the right amount but keep them all together and out of the fire. (A tip, carry the grill pan on top of a cookie sheet to transport it back and forth from the grill; this keeps anything from dripping on the way to and from the kitchen.)

This pan saved our grill! We have a low-end gas grill that was given to me and my husband as a Christmas gift. No matter what settings we tried it would either burn the food or leave it raw. With this pan, we can turn the heat up to where it should be and the food doesn't burn! The only downside is that it is a bear to clean. Other people have recommended Easy Oven Off but I haven't tried that yet.

Did my homework and decided on a cookware set that did not have a frying pan. No frying pan. no problem. Why? I thought that the 2 inserts that came with the sets; that fit the pots perfectly was a more valuable trade-off, when I could get the frying pan separately. (I added the Duxtop 12 inch with lid, so I could fry 2 whole fishes at the same time.)

I loved the two-toned finish on the outside. (This was after liking the cuisinart set that had this feature)

Loved the measuring marks on the inside.

I loved the fact that the lids all had 3 tiny steamholes in them.

Loved the price for 12 pieces.

Loved the fact that ALL the pans had curves edges for drip-free pouring

Loved having the set with both a 1 quart and a 8 quart. (Each pot is twice the size of the one before...1, 2, 4, 8)

Loved the shape of the handles. (The handles are simple but I love the high curve. It looks "Frenchy".)

Currently love the weight/feel of the pieces.

Cons:

Starfrit does not have a frying pan sold separately that coordinates with this set. If they did, I would have purchased it, instead of another brand.

So far I have used the 1, 2, 4, quarts saucepans and the 3 quart sautepan. No need to use the barkeepers friend as yet. Had to use the water/vinegar combo to deal with white spots left after washing. I have used stainless pans before (not tri-ply) so I know what a stainless steel pan looks like after years of use. I bought this set without an amazon review. Went to a Canadian website for that. Very pleased with the purchase. Wish more users would review this item. I compared duxtop/american kitchen/cooks standard & cuisinart sets before I decided. Only looked at multi-ply sets, since I did not want any with the disc on the bottom. I called this set the sleeper set, because I think I found a hidden gem among the tri-ply sets. Cat Cora did too, but having her name on the set simply makes it cost more. The quality is still the same.

I'm not a gourmet cook. I'm a single male construction worker that likes to cook for my ladyfriends, and also want my kitchen and appliances/cookware to look nice. Not only does this set look great, but it really cooks quite nicely. Good, even heat distribution,and easy cleaning. Much heavier than any of the other stainless tri-ply that I looked at . I have several nice cuisinart pots but I like these better. I am very pleased with both Amazon and Heritage (stamped on the bottom of the pans). When I bought these, there was only one review and it helped significantly. I have had these for about three months now and have had no problems of any kind. I have recommended them to friends.

Love, love this pan! Great size and feel. The handles are great. Truly nonstick, cleaning is a dream! Eggs, pancakes, anything you cook inside slides right off. My other pans are Martha Stewart brand and are no where near as good. The fact that it is made environmentally safe for the planet and safe for us as well is fantastic. Buying "Green" products is extremely important. After weeks of using, the bottom hasn't turned brown like my other pans. It still has the pretty green leaves design :) Looks brand new.

I first discovered the Ecolution Artistry pans in my local grocery store. At that time, I was in need of a griddle pan, so I decided to purchase their Ecolution Artistry 11" Griddle. I was attracted to the eco-friendly non-stick coating on these pans--they use a water-based, Hydrolon non-stick coating rather than traditional Teflon/PFOAs--and I admit, I also loved the cute green flower pattern on the bottom! I wound up loving the griddle, so I was interested in purchasing other pans from the Ecolution Artistry line.

I have found my new Ecolution Artistry Chicken Fryer to be excellent as well. As compared to the previous chicken fryer-type pan I was using, the Artistry is more light-weight, which is convenient for transferring food. However, it is the same size and still a substantial pot for cooking chicken or any top of stove-top one-dish meals. But the BEST part about this pan--and the entire Ecolution Artistry series--is the non-stick quality. Foods slide around in the pan--there is absolutely NO sticking! And the Artistry pans are a dream to clean. Although they are dishwasher-safe, I prefer to hand-wash (to preserve the outer finish as well as the overall life of the pans). I could practically just rinse this pot or wipe it out with a paper towel, it is THAT non-stick.

The only issue that I had with this particular pot is that I did NOT like the included high dome glass lid. Unlike the lids that come with other Ecolution Artistry pots (see Ecolution Artistry 8-Piece Cookware Set), which are relatively lightweight, tempered glass with metal edges, the included glass dome lid for the Chicken Fryer is VERY heavy and does not have the metal edge. It does not match the other pots in this series, and it seemed too bulky to be very functional to me. Since the lid of my old fryer pan was actually more similar to the others in the Artistry series, I wound up putting the knob from the high dome glass lid on my old lid, and now the old one is almost an exact match. I suppose some people may prefer the heavier glass lid, but this was an issue for me, and it was the sole reason that I rated this product 4 stars instead of 5.

Otherwise, I am extremely satisfied with this pan overall! I highly recommend the Ecolution Artistry series, both for their excellent non-stick performance as well as for their eco advantage.

This is another great Ecolution pan but the lid has some problems in that it's really hard to tighten the handle enough on it to stabilize (you have to assemble the top handle to the lid upon arrival), and because the lid is so freaking heavy, the handle feels a bit loose when you lift it.

I'm trying to brainstorm a way to fix this situation. I might try an extra rubber grommet or something to help tighten it better.

Other than that, it cooks great and is VERY non-stick and I don't have to worry about 'fumes'.

I am very pleased with the way this pan cooks evenly. The pan also cleans very easily. I love that it has two handles for heavier food items. The only complaint I have is, the bottom of the pan has begun chipping already, pretty much after first use. I gave this a neutral rating (because you have to give one) but this is a comment, not a review of the product. I have been living in Russia for the past 7 years for work; they have blini's here which is the same thing as a crepe (as far as I'm concerned). Anyway, I have never seen them (Russian's) make blini's (crepes) with a tool like this. They have fast food type places here that sell blini's and you see them making them out in the open. They have them in the malls, and even little huts on the street; so I see this almost every day. Anyway, the tool they use to form the blini is similar to this, but rather than the front end being flat, it's round (like the handle of this one, only a little larger in diameter). My intuition tells me that the design shown here would cause the batter to pile up on the flat side (maybe even roll over the top, creating a mess); the round ones help to redistribute the batter (I think). I'm sure the design shown here can work but I it probably takes more practice than the round ones. You can find one like I have described on Amazon if you search using the word "Blini", but the seller wants like $9 bucks for it plus $4 for shipping (not Prime eligible)... pretty steep for a couple pieces of dowel rod stuck together.

Reading the reviews I see that there are mixed feelings about this crepe stick; some love it, some couldn't get it to work, one person hasn't used it but doesn't think it would work. As a pastry chef, I have worked a crepe station every day for a good year now, always with the T shaped spreader. Got decent results, pretty good results. One day the manager gets this other kind of stick. Huh. It dragged in the batter, made a mess...I didn't care for it but didn't want it to get the best of me. So I went on YouTube, and saw all these people using this product to make bigger, badder crepes than I was able to make with my old T stick. So I gave it another chance. With an hours practice, my crepes were better than ever! Bigger rounder thinner, more uniform in thickness--all this with the same quantity of batter. Better quality. You have to hold it at a different angle, and you have to move it a little faster, but the results are worth it!! I think it's worth the higher price and I hope they sell it in a metal version. (The wooden ones warp after a while.)

This is the best paring knife I have ever used. The blade is incredibly sharp and the handle is comfortable. And of course the color is fun and makes the knife easy the find in the drawer or the dish water. The case protects the blade in the drawer and makes it easy to take camping. The Kuhn Rikon Nonstick Paring Knife is a very good value for a quality knife. We own several of these knives in different colors for use at home and in our shop. The different colors allow us keep the ones we use to cut materials in our workshop from accidently being used for food products.

The blade is *VERY* sharp and holds it's edge very nicely. The nonstick coating on the blade is a real plus as it helps to keep the knife clean as well as to keep it moving through thicker items. The snug fitting platic sheath is a welcome addition to safely store or transport the knife.

My only complaint is the light feel of the plastic handle. It isn't flimsy exactly, just lacks heft. This might just be a personal prefference issue and it hasn't stopped me from buying more of them.

Overall this is a very good paring knife at a reasonable price. Recommended!

This is a very simple, yet "you've got to get it" kind of camping gadget. In a world that gets very hung up on tech -including camping tech -there are some easy to omit fundamentals that make camping what it should be, and Rome's Tripod Grill is one of those. Why so good you ask? Simple -the tripod is well-made: No thin guage metal involved. It's very simple to use: just put the poles together, pop them into the top, put the chain-hung grill on and you're cookin'. It's well designed: there is a raised edge that keeps food (such as hot dogs) from rolling off the edges. It also breaks down small enough to fit into a patrol (a/k/a chuck) box. The tripod was easy to assemble, although I recommend you put it together BEFORE you light the fire. The chain works great for hanging a coffee pot. The grill spins on the chain so you'll want something to hold the grill with when you turn your food, but the spinning can be an advantage since you can move the food over a hotter or cooler part of the fire to control cooking.

I've had a few grills of this type over the years for camping. The last ones were made by Coghlan's. they had a great tripod but the grill grate was cheap and sagged and warped after the first season. The Rome grill has a much better and heavier grill grate but the tripod is junk; small diameter tubing and difficult to assemble without the legs falling apart. I've mounted the Rome grate on the sturdy Coghlan tripod and am using that now.

When I set the product up you couldn't move it without it falling apart so literally we got a fire going and two of us slowly moved it over the oven. We proceeded to cook a dutch oven on it and it appeared to be fine, then all of a sudden one of the legs gave out and it fell over. Poor Design, Poor Quality.

I bought the grill and was really excited to put it up., Unfortunately at the day of my housewarming party, when I wanted to put it up I found out there are pieces missing. too bad. It looked used, too. I sent it back with no problems and got the money back right away though.

My in-laws have one made by Tombstone, and while this one isn't as heavy as theirs, it makes the pizzas in the same time and quality. This was well worth the money.

I bought these plates for their shape, size, color and great price. The plates are well made. They are thick enough to resist chipping and breakage yet not so heavy as to be burdensome when loading and unloading from the dish washer. They are consistent in shape and stack well. Also the narrow rim means more space for food for a given size plate. I bought them six months ago and have used them ever since without any problems. I originally ordered two boxes of twelve plates and one box arrived with a broken plate. Amazon replaced the box immediately, this time with the box of plates wrapped in bubble wrap within another box. Problem solved. I also ordered the Clinton Narrow Rim 7-1/4-Inch plates which arrived OK and are of the same fine quality as the 10-1/2 plates.

This china looks great on top of charger with a smaller piece on top of it due to its design. Used them at Easter for Easter table and they were terrific. I was fearful if the grandchildren had an accident and chip or broke them because the price point was right.

I bought this Bamboo Steamer because of the Fox Run brand. Other items that I've used made by that company have always been satisfactory. This was purchased Jan 9, 2013 and sat on my counter unpacked but unused. Today I picked up the top tray and the bottom just fell apart. Did not use it one time and the time limit for returning expired Feb 9. Any ideas for a bamboo steamer with a broken tray bottom? You sure can't cook in it.

I love this pot. It is great but buyers should understand that the label on this pot states that it is not to be used on glass tops, although the description of the items as shown on Amazon does not indicate this important fact. It is a great pot for gas stoves or electric burner stoves but not for glass top. Unfortunately, I have a glass top stove but I will not return this item because by the time I pay postage, this is no longer a good deal. I will give it to my daughter-in-law who does not have a glass top. She will love it because it is actually a good stock pot.

Pot will burn everything cooked in it if used on a glass top stove due to thin bottom. Great value and worked fine with previous stoves.

I expected to love this pot and would have but after initially receiving the wrong size sent to me, I then received this one which seemed to have some sort of defect at the bottom where the metal was corroded. Finally gave up on getting what we needed.
