the pan is sturdy and heats up well, was very disappointed with the size, the actual interior of pan is 5in, not six and quarter. the entire width of pan is six and quarter, thus making it too small for crepes or anything else for that matter. will be returning

I make homemade manicotti using crepes. This is the best pan I have ever used.

They cooked evenly and quickly without sticking.

Excellent!!

Love this for blintzes. Makes a small (5") blintz or crepe. perfect for brunches or dessert style crepes. make sure to "cure" it as directions state and then just wipe clean. NEVER use soap on this unless you're willing to re"cure" it.

This is a nice crepe pan for anyone who wants crepes this small. I have never made them this small, but I guess there is a first time for everything.

I really like this attachment and use it frequently. That said, I have some suggestions:

For users-

1. Use the KitchenAid mixing bowl to catch the juice, and place a large standard kitchen strainer across the bowl. This speeds things up a lot!

2. Rub some shortening on the aluminum shaft before inserting it into the brass sleeve. If you use your juicer a lot, this will greatly prolong its life.

For KitchenAid

1. The plastic piece that inserts into the mixer should be made out of metal, instead of plastic with a metal sleve. On mine the plastic is cracking away from the brass.

2. The aluminum shaft should be brass or steel. As it is, the bearing surface is a small area of aluminum that even when lubricated, is showing lots of wear.

Each week we buy a dozen oranges and a dozen grapefruits (organic if possible). This juicer attachment makes juicing them much faster. Then we freeze most of the juice and thaw it in the fridge for 24 hours before we drink it. It would be hard to go back to regular juice. We also have a dedicated juicer for carrots, apples and pears, but it isn't good for citrus. We store the juice in mason jars in the freezer.

Notes:

1. As in an earlier review, use the mixer bowl with a large strainer place across it instead of the strainer attachment which is pretty useless.

2. You don't need to seed the grapefruit using the big strainer.

3. Hold the fruit so that your hand is at the top (fingers facing upwards) and brace the top of the mixer with your other hand. This way the juice does not run down your arm.

Best Deals for KitchenAid JE Citrus Juicer Stand Mixer Attachment

I will repeat what everybody else says about the included strainer not being worth anything. It is small, easy to lose, ineffective, etc.

Otherwise this is a marvelous attachment for juicing all kinds of citrus fruits.

A note on technique. Many people attempt to juice fruit by simply pressing forward. This will miss a lot of juice. It is necessary after pressing forward to give a little squeeze so the sides get all juiced as well. Also, you will get less messy if you hold the fruit half by the top instead of the bottom, as the bottom is where the juice tends to come out.

A note on lemonade. The key is to mix the water and sugar together and boil them. This makes the sugar a super saturated solution instead of a suspension. The sugar doesn't settle. Add the lemon juice once the sugar solution (also called simple syrup) is cooled in the fridge.

Honest reviews on KitchenAid JE Citrus Juicer Stand Mixer Attachment

I was very pleased with the way this juicer attachment made it very easy to juice 10 lbs. of lemons for my homemade lemonade. (OK, Vodka Lemonade.) However, I wish I had thought of using a different strainer because I found it necessary to clean out the included strainer every 4 lemon halves.

If you are looking for new uses for your Kitchenaid Stand Mixer, this is a pretty practical one. This attachment doesn't take up a lot of cabinet space like some others do.

After the first few pounds of lemons, I heard a squeaking noise from the attachment. The shorting trick helped lubricate it.

I investigate most new products before I purchase, using Amazon, Circuit City, etc. The reviews on this product were relatively useless. People seem to be getting a little critical. This juicer is a great product contrary to what the first few reviewers had to say. I had no juice dripping down my arm, I used only the strainer provided which worked very well for me, & if you merely place a glass measuring cup under the spout you are not only collecting the juice, but measuring as well, which you need to do anyways if using the juice for a recipe. The juicer also really gets absolutely every drop of juice from the citrus. I don't understand all the problems some people found with such a simple to use as well as great product. My only negative points are that it does become another item to find space for, & having to wash several parts, & the directions putting it together are foggy. However, a simple rinse does it, you can store it in a Ziploc, & fresh juice is so much more delicious whether you're using it for recipes, like me or are avid juice drinkers. The speed, ease, taste, & maximum amount of juice extracted from your citrus makes this a great product-----plus it's from KitchenAid. Don't let negative reviews steer you the wrong way, you will love this item.

Cheese omelet, boldly browned? No problem: the omelet glides smoothly to the plate. Measured by non-stickness, this is the best pan I've tried, and I've tried a lot.

The pan spreads heat well. It feels kind of light-weight, so I'm not expecting to pass it down to my grandchildren. I've had it for only a month, but so far, it's a total champ.

Nicely made pan and beautiful color. The handle has a good grip and is not slippery.

The nonstick surface is very easy to clean

I am careful to use wooden tools and to

be gentle with the cooking surface.

Nothing sticks at all. I do preheat carefully so it does not overheat. Good browning occurs with med low heat on my glass top stove.

I cooked a salmon fillet with no fat at all and it did not stick.

Eggs almost leap out of the pan! Ditto cheese omelet. Yes, I did put a tiny bit of butter---

I do wish lids were available.

I have had no problem with buildup of any kind

and have used this pan almost daily for at least ten days.

Hand wash in a flash with detergent and a miracle cloth and hand dry.

Store where it will not get scratched by other cooking equipment.

I received the 11" fry pan through the Amazon Vine program, and I loved it! I ordered it because it is beautiful to look at. And I was so happy with that pan that I ordered this 8" version which I also love. The red color is really striking, and the fry pan performs as well as it looks. It is very comfortable to hold. The handle fits perfectly in my hand. There is just enough heft to feel substantial, but isn't too heavy to manage. It heats evenly. I've fried & scrambled eggs, fried halved-hotdogs, grilled sandwiches, sautéed zucchini (you get the idea) and nothing, but nothing not a bit has stuck to the pan. It wipes clean with a paper towel, although I do hand wash it with soap and water. I followed instructions and pre-oiled the pan before its first use, but since then I've given it no special care. You cannot go wrong with this one!

I got one of these for Christmas and have used it over and over since then. Popovers in 20 minutes. How wonderful. Releases great and cleans up great! I have not had a single failure. I am so impressed with this pan that I just ordered 3 more for gifts. This is by no means my first popover pan. I have been making them for about 20+ years so I am not new to them or easily impressed. Prior to this my favorite pan was the Chicago Metallic pan, which is a good pan, but this one is even better IMO. Please be sure and try the recipe that comes with this pan as it is much better than my old standard one I have used for years. I think the addition of more eggs and butter replacing the oil makes them just fabulous. I have tryed numerous recipes over the years and this one is better than any I have ever had. If you buy this pan and actually use it you will not regret getting your purchase.

I purchased the petite popover pan.The pan is well made and I made excellent popovers in it. I used a recipe that used bread flour because it rises higher. Also, I did not preheat the pan before pouring in the batter, because it causes the bottom of the popovers to overcook and distort. It is important to follow directions for oven temp.

Best Deals for Nordic Ware Popover Pan

They are small but just as tasty as the big ones; more outside and less inside. The mini-popovers are a fun change from bread with any meal. The included recipe says it makes two batches, but I just use half the ingredients to make a single batch. The pan is sturdy, as I expected from Nordic Ware, and washes up easily.

Honest reviews on Nordic Ware Popover Pan

I had used the 6 large popover, "teflon" coated version and it was useless. Batter stuck unrelentingly and it only made 6. This one releases the popovers easily and there are enough to serve up to 12. I don't know why the recipe makes a double batch dinner would be over by the time the 2nd batch was done but making 1/2 the batch is easy....and mighty tasty.

There is no way to describe just how wonderfully light and yummy fresh straight out of the oven popovers are. I make them all the time and they are not restricted to just breakfast. I love serving them with salads at lunch or with a big family meal featuring roast prime rib or a flavorful pork rib roast or even something as simple as an infused beef roast. There are no rules for what you can serve popovers with.

Because one pan just doesn't do it when I entertain a crowd, I just bought two additional pans. No problem with space because they nest beautifully.

Here's the scoop on this pan. They are well made and they have a narrower well than what I had used previously which results in a lot of individual baby Mt. Vesuvius like popovers which reach yummy brown peaks that are airy, steamy, doughy, and delish. I guarantee that no one can eat just one. They are addictive.

My old popover recipe was pretty wonderful, but I used the recipe which comes with the pan. Double wonderful! That recipe is way better because it is eggy and buttery. Face it, if you are going to indulge in popovers isn't the more decadent recipe going to be the right one for a splurge. My advice is follow the recipe that comes with this pan and follow it to the letter. This is the kind of goody that doesn't need to be messed with. When it is done, the popovers release with no sticking and clean up is a snap which is no doubt due to the butter in the batter, the evenly heated pan, or all that love that goes into popovers.

By far, these are the best popover pans i've used. They can also be used for individual lava cakes and even as baby tiramisu molds.

I do love these crocks, but there one characteristic which drives me nutty. The handles are hollow, with a small hole in the bottom. The handles collect water in the dishwasher. Because of the angle, the water is hard to get out. The handle will get extremely hot in the microwave. At $20 a crock, this is annoying. I purchased Le Creuset dishes because I wanted quality dishes that wouldn't get hotter than my food in the microwave.

Bitterly disappointed to open package & find 3 of the 6 ordered with handles broken off right at the bowl this was despite them being well packed in bubble wrap and enclosed in a good sized box for a tight fit. Close examination of the handles yep, they are hollow! Such a poor design which is amazing as Le Creuset is justifiably famous for manufacturing well designed cookware that lasts a lifetime. Sadly these little guys, although cute and red, have not been designed to withstand transit to Tasmania let alone normal use in a domestic kitchen. So, photographed them, packed them up to return and was told by our Australia Post that it would cost $50 to return them "due to new US border protection rules" so clearly not worth the cost. I have been investing in Le Creuset for over 40 years and would recommend their products every time with the exception of these little guys.

We purchased 2 of these and they are nice but the color is not the same deep rich gradient as other pieces described as Cherry or Cherry Red. They do gradiate in color just not as much as some lovelier pieces we have, these ones have more regular red than dark cherry. The bowl function is terrific, the capacity is large and the handles are what makes these bowls so great. They are heavy duty and durable and can go in the microwave and oven to melt/bake cheese if you like french onion soup. I am sure these will last a long time. I am considering getting 2 more so they will be like a "set" of soup bowls. These are super easy to clean up either by hand or dishwasher. We have had wedding soup, chicken noodle, vegetable beef, pea soup, chili with cheddar cheese melted-in, beef stew and even a large portion of oatmeal from time to time in these great bowls. Highly recommend.

I have had these pans for about 4 years now and i can honestly say these are great stainless steel pans! I noticed a single star reviewer complaining that everything sticks to these. My comment on that review is that they are NOT non-stick pans. I have a couple of non-stick pans that i use for eggs and other delicate items i don't want to cook with high heat. However, these pans are absolutely wonderful for browning and i love the big pot for pasta. My favorite pan is the large skillet. An example of what i use that for would be if i were cooking a meat sauce spaghetti i brown the meat lower the heat and add the sauce and when the pasta is done i can toss it into the meat sauce in that pan. It keeps me from making so much of a mess and having to do more dishes. With certain things you cook, there can be a fair amount of clean up with these pans (if you deglaze after browning you won't have nearly as much work to do). If you do end up with stuck on particles i found if you re-heat the pan up to high and add in some water most particles will come off with little encouragement.

There was another reviewer that said the handles leak. I have also not had any problem of that sort. In fact, i don't see how you could have that problem with these. They are very good quality, particularly for the money.

I have also found the spoons and such that come with this set to be very hardy and useful. They are a bit basic but i use them all the time and they still look as new as the day i got them.

I cook quite a bit and, in 4 years, haven't had an issue. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I purchased this set from Sam's Club and was looking forward to cooking many meals with them. Let me start by saying...they cooked GREAT, I could even fry eggs without them sticking. The problem was the handles, the two bigger pots both leaked water from the rivets. I was boiling macaroni and the water was under the rivets as it recommends, the foam from the macaroni is all that touched the rivets and that's all it took for them leak. I can only imagine how bad it would have been if the water would have been over the rivets. Sam's club was great, they gave me a refund without hesitation. If they changed the handles to non riveted, I would definitely buy it again.

Best Deals for Wolfgang Puck Stainless Steel 18 PC cookware Set

The Wolfgang Puck Collection is fantastic as a full set of stainless steel cookware, however, as others have said, you need to know to first use oil ( I like Grapeseed for it's high heat tolerance) and then a bit of butter if you want that flavor, ( such as for scrambled eggs, etc..) After you're done, put a little water in the pan, use the spatula to loosen debris, then wipe. IT will be easier to clean once cooled down later on in the sink. You can't just put butter and make your food, then let it harden, and expect to not have to soak, and still use a stainless scouring pad. Taking the minute or two to do the above will make it a breeze. Then using stainless scrubber is still good, you can shine it right up, including the bottom, but fast, with nothing catching in the scour pad, (yuck!) I always had to use a scour pad this way with Revere Ware when I was a kid, nothing different, but until Wolfie showed the water method ( used by cooks in restaurants for years by the way) I never knew! My opinion with Teflon: Not worth it, if people don't take care of it, it peels and is then toxic, can't use a high heat. Forget putting in oven. YOu can use a higher heat with all Stainless all the way around, just have to learn a few simple tricks. ANy fool can cook with teflon, but it's limited and they don't hold up. Wolfgang puck holds up 10 years like new.. and going!

Honest reviews on Wolfgang Puck Stainless Steel 18 PC cookware Set

Things I wish I'd known before I bought them:

The long list of "Do nots" on the care instructions. This cookware cannot be used on high heat, with high acid or high salt foods, or filled higher than the bottom of the rivets. This means if you don't want to void the warranty, boiling water takes awhile, forget spicy foods, and only use the bottom 1/3 of the pan. The rivets are located at midpoint, but very large so the bottom edge is quite a way down.)

The rivets are aluminum. They begin corroding IMMEDIATELY on exposure to liquid. Even when you only use the lower 1/3 of the pan, cooking steam causes pitting. I got rid of my previous set because of the possible negative health effects of aluminum in cookware, so I was not pleased to find aluminum leaching into my food from my new stainless steel cookware!

The total uselessness of WP's customer service. The pan I used most formed a "bubble" on the underside even though I was careful to follow all the instructions. I contacted customer service, who told me to send photos. When they got them, they said it was damage due to using high heat and therefore not covered. I told them I'd never used the pan on high heat, so they told me to send it to them for inspection. which cost over $10 They agreed that it was a flaw in construction, and would send me a new pan. After nearly 4 months of no pan, (not to mention the couple months it took to get them to agree to send one) I told them to just give me a refund for the pan plus my cost of shipping. The answer was that WP doesn't give refunds!

My husband told me "Take it back!" as soon as he read the care and use instructions, before I'd even unpacked the whole set. But they were pretty and well balanced, so I said "No, I'll just be careful with them." Before I knew about the rivets. Now I have to admit he was right!

So if you want a set that's pretty, well balanced, and will rarely be used, this is it! But be sure to keep some bartender's friend on hand, because even for occasional use of the pans, you'll need it. And don't use any seafood seasoning, lemon pepper, or anything of the sort, as this causes discoloration that can't be removed. I just designated one pan to use for fish or anything spicy and live with the speckles.)

I've had this set for nearly a year now, and find myself back to using old Revere Ware and cast iron for most of my cooking. Truly disappointed in a product and company I initially loved.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Wolfgang Puck Stainless Steel 18 PC cookware Set

I bought this set at Sam's Club. Unfortunately, the company (Wolfgang Puck) decided to make the rivets (which are the little metal circles that hold the handles on if you were wondering) out of aluminum instead of stainless. They say not to cook above the rivet line. I didn't know what rivets were so I made a casserole in one and stored leftovers in the fridge. The rivets started to corrode after one use! I called Wolfgang Puck and the guy I talked to said they would probably eventually break considering that after one used they already had little holes corroded into the metal. What good are pans with half the cooking capacity they are labeled as having??? In the long run what good are pans without handles!!! And aluminum isn't good for you to boot!

SAVE YOUR RECEIPT if you are gonna give these a shot.

They are cheap for sure...but they are CHEAP for sure.

I went back to KitchenAid they always use stainless for their rivets. I didn't know how important those little metal circles were!

My husband and I received a set of these Le Creuset stoneware dishes as a wedding gift. I was wary of using them, picturing burnt-on items, hours of scrubbing, etc. I'm the cook in my house, and my husband does cleanup. He automatically despises anything that can't be put in the dishwasher.

Now that I've used this particular dish for everything from casseroles to roasted vegetables, I know how wrong I was! Even the scariest-looking messes (like deep purple juices from roasted beets) come right off in the dishwasher -no soaking required (though my husband will still insist on a soaking if he feels too lazy to actually open the dishwasher door and insert an item). Food always looks lovely cooked in this dish -it provides very even heat and doesn't underor over-brown things.

Though I've used this piece at a variety of oven temps and also put it in the fridge, I've never frozen anything in it, so I can't speak to its freezer performance.

The size is perfect for two people and a few leftovers, assuming you don't have a humongous appetite. If you don't have self-control when it comes to sweets, I don't recommend using this dish for that purpose. It's not quite large enough to make sweets for a crowd, thus you might decide to just "polish off what's there" and then end up with significant guilt and stomachache. Not that I would know any of this from personal experience...

To sum up, this piece and all of the Le Creuset stoneware I own looks fabulous and timeless, but has modern properties that make cleanup a breeze.

I bought this piece on a whim, to see if Le Creuset is all it is cracked up to be...I have not been disappointed. Easy to clean, nice even baking. I am now putting together a wish list so that I can gradually upgrade my Corningware casseroles with Le Creuset.

I have several pieces of Le Creusent Cast Iron but this is my first Stoneware piece. I'd beeen using Pyrex for baking needs but after learning how unsafe Pyrex is (exploding) I decided to switch to Le Crusent Stoneware. I'm so glad I did. It bakes everything perfectly. Food seems to taste better and washup is so much easier than Pyrex. Washes easily by hand or in the dishwasher. I do wish it had a cover for storing like Pyrex does. It's more expensive but well worth it!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I like Chinese cooking and I actually own Norpro Deluxe 3-Piece Bamboo Steamer Set for five years prior to adding this newer bamboo steamer to my kitchen, courtesy of the Amazon Vine program. While you are right to think nothing can go wrong in a low-tech item like a bamboo steamer, there are actually a few things that may affect your purchase decision.

First is the size. The diameter of this steamer is 10 inch and is quite generous. Make sure you have a stockpot that is wide enough (11in) and tall enough (you need at least 8in in). The steamer itself is only six and a quarter inch high, but since you don't want water to touch the bottom of it during steaming, you need to raise it an inch or two above the bottom of the stockpot using a rack.

Second is the construction quality. I am happy to report that this is a high quality item. Kudos to Amazon for coming up with this. In comparison to the Norpro steamer, I find this one MUCH sturdier. In fact, I don't think anyone will pick the other if the two were compared in person. Things like Chinese steam cake can get heavy. While I don't think my old one will break under the weight too easily, there is no reason to want a light bamboo steamer.

Third is the lid of the steamer. One critical feature of a bamboo steamer is to avoid condensation dripping back into the food because it would dilute the taste. Bamboo is usually quite good at this BUT your stockpot lid may not. In other words, the bamboo steamer's lid must shield the water dripping down from the lid of the stockpot. This steamer's lid works well in this regard because it is tightly weaved and so any water dripped on top of it will get dispersed into the weaving. Again, a good design.

The bottom line is I consider this a better buy. Congrads to Amazon for coming up with this quality item at a competitive price.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I would have given 5 stars except for two small issues

> Splinters and small cracks in the bamboo on the bottom of the steamer trays

> The steamer does not seat tightly in my wok either the steamer or my wok is out of round. However it fits nicely over a 10-inch straight-sided saute pan.

I've had several steamers in the past, both bamboo and metal. The Chinese-style metal ones are made of aluminum and steam tends to condense on the lids and fall back onto the food, compromising flavor and probably adding traces of unwanted aluminum to the food. The stainless steel metal ones that unfold can be useful but they are designed to hold food directly and they usually have a stem in the middle preventing you from using a plate or large pieces of food. The Chinese-style bamboo steamers are designed not to directly touch the food. You use a plate or leaf or parchment paper under the foods to be steamed. The woven bamboo lid absorbs some of the steam and prevents condensation from falling onto the food. The steamer stays clean and the taste very pure.

This set has two stacking trays and a lid. The construction appears to be of good quality and the bottom is sturdier than usual (although a little splintery). The splinters are not really a problem, especially since the food does not touch the basket. I brushed off most of them and expect it will become smoother with age.

This size is probably best when cooking for one or two. Note that you should not put a plate larger than 8 inches in this steamer because you need to allow room for the steam to circulate freely and for you to be able to remove the steamed food safely. The plate will be very hot after steaming. The steamer is not large enough for most whole fish but a couple of fish slices will fit nicely. It does have two layers so you can cook two completely different things at once. Apparently you could even buy two sets and stack up to four trays I have not tried doing that so I can't report on the results.

Best Deals for Tom Douglas by Pinzon 10-Inch Bamboo Steamer Basket

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Before I got this steamer, I used to use a folding stainless steel one. the Pinzon is a marked improvement over that. It's considerably larger, and keeps the food farther above the boiling water. Of course, having two levels is convenient too. I've used it a few times, and it's holding up well. Its construction seems superior to the very cheap ones you can find in any discount store. I can't say anything about long-term longevity, but so far so good. Fits well on a 12-inch pan with sloping sides. I've not had the splinter problems some other reviewers mentioned. As for technique, I think the instructions are a little timid steaming food on a plate, as they recommend, results in a water-logged dish, especially if you're steaming fish. Placing the food on a piece of lettuce gives far better results.

Honest reviews on Tom Douglas by Pinzon 10-Inch Bamboo Steamer Basket

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I used to own a bamboo steamer, but it got lost when I moved, so I've been thinking about getting a new one. This steamer is well designed and seems to be average in quality. I didn't give it 5 stars because it did have a lot of splinters and sawdust inside, which was not the case with my previous steamer. To deal with this issue, I used the hose attachment of my vacuum cleaner to thoroughly suck out the sawdust and loose splinters from all the little crevices, and then I washed it in hot water (which you should do anyway before using it).

I was also surprised that it didn't come with even a basic instruction pamphlet. For me, this isn't a problem because I've used bamboo steamers many times in the past... but if you're new to steaming, and/or have never used a bamboo steamer, you may want to go online and look for methods and recipes.

There is a small piece of paper included in the box that talks about Chef Tom Douglas, and it also mentions that the steamer is dishwasher safe; however, I personally would not recommend putting it in the dishwasher. This just seems like a bad idea to me. I would worry about the dishwasher detergent or rinse aid being absorbed into the bamboo. Hand washing in hot water with a small amount of mild detergent would be the the safest bet, in my opinion.

All in all, it's a nice little steamer and the price is reasonable.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have previously bought a very similar bamboo steamer set. It is the same size, two layers with a lid the same as the Tom Douglas set. The diameter of these steamers at 10 inches are large enough to steam several Asian style buns, small dim sum dishes, smaller servings of fish, etc. Good enough for a 2-6 people, but it is sort of like preparing a grilled meal on a portable propane grill Definitely doable, but you may have to prepare 2-3 separate loads of food instead of a one time deal and that can become frustrating.

My first set of bamboo steamers is far more traditional. The bottom consists of thin slivers of bamboo tied together with organic grass-like threads. It is very traditional, but after repeated use the threads will work loose, break, and eventually you need to replace the steamer.

This Tom Douglas steamer does not have this issue. Thick bamboo sticks are interconnected with large cut out spaces, which is far more durable, but does not interfere with the primary purpose to let steam pass between the pot and the one or multiple steam layers in use.

On thing to remember is a wok is preferable to use with these types of steamers. The curved bottom allows for a good amount of water, while the bamboo cooking rings rests on the sides of the wok, which is perfect for steaming. It would not work with standard sauce pans or cookware, since the steamers would need to rest on something to avoid direct water contact.

Overall a great product, built with quality. It beats my old set hand down and is a good buy. The great thing is my old set is also a 10" ring, so now I can steam 4 layers at a time, which is pretty nice.

I bought this braiser with doubts in my mind, as I usually prefer to purchase pots & pans from a brick & mortar store, where one can assess the quality. However I bought this, based on the other reviews. And I am glad to report that this was a good decision. The braiser has a thick base so no worries with any burning or overcooking.

If you are looking for a good quality braiser/port at a good price point, you have found it.

Honest reviews on Thunder Group Aluminum Braisers

I was looking for a mid size alumunum pot and this 8 qt. Braiser was just what i was looking for.

This pot is made with a good thickness of aluminum and heats evenly for searing. The lid is a good fit.

The interior is well pollished and easy to clean up. The handles are of heavy aluminum and held on with large heavy rivets.

I would reccomend this pot for it's quality and size.

This is a wonderful frypan. It has a very heavy bottom which is good for even heating. Also, heavy bottomed frypans will not warp. I've looked all over for a frypan with a heavy bottom to replace my old one and I'm so happy to have found this. I will be shopping Amazon and TigerChef to look for a larger sized frypan in the same brand.

Actually I sent this to my son in Texas so I don't have first hand info on it. He did say he loves it so far and hopes to get other pieces of Marble cookware
