I bought this braiser with doubts in my mind, as I usually prefer to purchase pots & pans from a brick & mortar store, where one can assess the quality. However I bought this, based on the other reviews. And I am glad to report that this was a good decision. The braiser has a thick base so no worries with any burning or overcooking.

I was looking for a mid size alumunum pot and this 8 qt. Braiser was just what i was looking for.

This pot is made with a good thickness of aluminum and heats evenly for searing.The lid is a good fit.

The interior is well pollished and easy to clean up. The handles are of heavy aluminum and held on with large heavy rivets.

I would reccomend this pot for it's quality and size.
