I was really excited to buy these, loved the color and loved the silicone handles. Unfortunately I have discovered the porcelain enamel rubs right off, even with just plain old water.Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>
After reading all of the good reviews I decided to get this pan. If I really liked it I was also going to purchase the chef's set of other pans. When it arrived I was so excited. I had been using a cheap omelet pan that all of the teflon had worn off and I was ready to invest in some good pans. Two things I found out. If you put veggies in your omelet and they touch the pan it will stick, but it cleaned up easily. I had to put a teaspoon of butter in. Second the rivets stick out and food collects around them so I have to take a toothpick to them occasionally. One of the rivets started moving, which I don't believe it is supposed to do. I called Scanpan 3 times so far and keep getting an answering machine. I leave a message but no one calls me back. I will try again today. I am deliberating if I should get the classic in the other pans but I hate the glass lids and this problem with Customer service is leaving me leery of making another purchase with this company.Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>
The shape of the arepas in this thing is great, nice and thin, and it cooks fast too. There are only 3 cavities that I would consider to be "regular size" arepas (same size as other 4 cavity units), the other 4 cavities are considerably smaller (maybe 65% the size of a regular arepa). The good part is the heating system, from a cold start, I had 4 arepas ready in approx 10mins, its got plenty of heating power, also the arepa molds are a nice shape, very flat on top and bottom, not dome shaped like other units. There are a few flaws with this unit that I think are deal breakers though. The main one is the latch, it is made like junk. On an arepa maker, the latch is very important, as it keeps the plates in tight contact with the arepa so it cooks quickly and evenly. The first time we used the unit, once it started heating up and the arepas started to expand a little bit, the pressure broke the latch retainer, which is a thin piece of very brittle plastic that is designed for high temperature (but cracks like it is made of glass). The other weak point is the blue knob on top, its really a mechanical timer that turns the heating on and off. Very sloppy and low quality. Overall this thing is built like &*#@. The unfortunate thing is that most of the better made units (ie Oster 6 cavity, Bene Casa 6 cavity, etc) are really unavailable at the moment (no one has stock and doesn't know if/when they will ever get more), so this thing is pretty much one of the best large unit currently available (I've heard the IMUSA has issues where it does not cook fully, the Brentwood is not as good as the oster), and there are not many other choices which is really sad because I could not honestly recommend this unit.Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>
I've been using this pot lid and the accompanying pot to brew beer. It has been a great brew pot as the aluminium has a much lower specific heat, which works much better on my electric range. It's huge and you really can't beat the price.Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>
This knife is a great alternative to those wheels that push the toppings all around. There's no reason to go into pizza cutting details, so I'll just mention some unexpected things. (1) This knife is VERY big, as it needs to be to do it's job, but good luck finding a place in the kitchen to store it. I wedge mine into the side of a cabinet. (2) My cutting board has a raised edge, and the knife contacts the edge, stopping it from coming down far enough to cut through the crust adjacent to that edge of the cutting board. (3) The little handle on top of the blade is just that, little. It works, but I would prefer a bigger little handle. Overall, I like it because it cuts the pizza without mangling it.Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>
I took a gamble in buying these pots thinking they would be a quick solution to some kitchen issues. (I generally make a habit of seeing items in store before buying them online at all.) The Color splash Pots although aesthetically pleasing lack quality. It is shown in they're thinness and lack of ability with handling medium/high heats adequately. On the upside all the pots stack neatly inside one another so it is good in terms of storage. Good for someone moving into a small place and only cooking passively....but as for the rest of us? Best of luck-you'll need it.Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>
It is a good product. I use it all the time. Price could have been little bit cheaper.Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>
This is a quality set. The least toxic of the non-stick choices. This 11 Pc set is specifically made for induction cooktops...meaning glass top ranges but can also be used on traditional electric and gas. The bottoms on this set is more built up and seems to conduct heat better or more even than the 8 piece version of the same brand sold here on Amazon. I have both sets but I use the 8 piece set only on a gas range.Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>
