I had 8 sets for over 15 years, and wanted another 4 sets... They arrived timely and in perfect condition, tho the mugs were slightly rattling around when I opened them. No visible damage, all of them were in boxes made for the set, tho 3 of them were additionally wrapped in protective bubble wrap, the fourth one was not, and was placed on the outside instead of between two of the bubble wrapped ones... but they all made it OK. The newer ones are slightly whiter than the rest of the set, but you can only tell that when they are stacked together. Not sure if they've changed the makeup of the white, or if time and usage causes them to darken... but they arrived in great condition and we're loving using them now!

The picture shows exactly what I received. I did not expect a tea cup and saucer since it was not shown in the picture and list. I ordered 6 place settings. The dishes came in a box that was very battered but everything was so well packed that nothing was broken. The dishes arrived in a timely manner and this was a great price. I am giving these as a present for Christmas and I am thrilled at what a nice gift this is for the amount of money I spent.

Service was fine. Helpful, after an original big glitch. The dishes were not the quality of what I already have. Mine were made in Portugal, and the new Dansk place settings were made in Thailand. They are not as nice, the paint on edges not the same. Poor reproduction of earlier producd Dansk place settings. I will keep them, but not so pleased.

Theses dishes are great! Nice and heavy while still having an elegant look. They hold the heat well with hot foods as well as cool down when you put cold food on them. Great for a "Bistro" set, everyday or entertaining. Very happy with them.

Cheap Cast Iron 3-Quart Round Dutch Oven with Lid

I was very nervous in ordering this pot. I had no idea who Paderno or World Cuisine was and was quite nervous that this might be some made in China junk. I am glad to say that I was wrong. The pot is made in France, by a cast iron foundry that has been around since 1924. The enamel is clean and the color well balanced through out, the interior on the yellow is a creamy vanilla white. The edges of the lid and the lip around the pot are not enameled, this may hamper the life of the pot, but after cooking a few meals in it I am very impressed and would happily give it more than 5 stars. A great looking pot and a good price.

I bought this unit from a Department Store, $180 so a bit more expensive than this one. Same type though mine was yellow.

The first time I used it I was making a pot roast. The pot was in the oven. I took it out to check on my roast and as I put the lid back on, the lid broke!!! I had to cover the pot with aluminum foil to finish cooking my roast.

My boyfriend glued the lid back together and although I wasn't happy with the fact it broke, I was happy it was fixed.

The second time I used it, I was making a stew and as it had been cooking on the stove for 10 minutes, it broke in pieces SPILLING BOILING BROTH ALL OVER MY STOVE. I was shocked. Thankfully my dog wasn't in the kitchen where she usually walks by otherwise she could have been burnt!

DO NOT BUY this dutch oven. It's not safe. See for yourself in my pictures.

I am very pleased with these bowls. They are perfect for all sorts of things that the teeny, weeny bowls that come with a service of this china are too small to accomplish (must be a European thing.) The bowls are a nice size for tossed salad, soup, stew or pasta (of course.) They are very pretty and arrived extremely well packed with not a scratch on them.

Don't buy these for the Lodge Logic LPGI3 Pro 20-by-10-7/16-Inch Cast-Iron Grill/Griddle. The spacing of the grooves don't fit the grill, rendering them useless. Gave this two stars because the material feels like it can withstand high heat.

Just used them when the grill/griddle was slightly hotter than warm...melted. Thus the review is now one star.

I've used cast iron for 35+ years and found these scrapers great to scrape away little crusty bits, esp. in the curves of a pan. Remember, no dishwashing liquid should touch a cast iron pan--just scrape and scrub with a stiff lodge brush, rinse and thoroughly dry. I then rub a little cooking oil on the inside, mopping up any excess with a paper towel.

Do not order this if you plan on using it with the Lodge Logic LPGI3. The notches on this scraper do not fit hte grooves in the grill side of the Lodge Logic LPGI3. That was specifically why I ordered this product and the product description does not mention this at all. Maybe it will work for others, but it did not work for me.

I use these with a Lodge cast iron grill pan. The scrapers have two rows of scraping notches at different widths, presumably to accommodate the different pans in Lodge's product lineup. These are great for cleaning up grill pans without removing the seasoning just use them in the sink with hot water (no soap!) and soon your pans will be clean and ready for oiling. Before these I had been using those green scrubbing sponges which 1) didn't clean the pan very well, 2) sanded through the seasoning in some "hot spots", and 3) shredded the sponge in no time. These scrapers have no such issues. They're rigid but slightly flexible and comfortable to hold and use. And you can toss them into the dishwasher with impunity.

I would suggest one improvement: put a narrow "U" shaped notch on the back edge of the scraper to scrub off the top edges of the ribs on the pan. As it is, these scrapers are better for cleaning out gunk that's fallen into the valleys between the ribs. But not a big deal. I've had nothing but outstanding experiences with Lodge products. Nice to see that continue even with a little item like this.

This package contains two identical scrapers. Each has two grooved sides of different spacing, and a rounded edge. These work well for cleaning the Lodge L8SGP3 grilling skillet, and can be tossed in the dishwasher afterward. Alternatives would be using a wadded up paper towel or a stiff brush. This tool gets a big start on the cleaning and then you might have to pick a few remnants off.

Inexpensive and useful. Give one to a friend!

This is the only enameled cast iron grill pan that actually has the cooking surface of the dimensions on its label! You actually get a 17x10 cooking surface. The Le Cruset double burner grill (only from their website) is much smaller than claimed (really a single burner size). Ditto on the Chasseur on Amazon, which comes slightly warped so that it rocks back and forth on a cooktop.

The enamel here is soft, resting it on an edge did press it off. If I encounter problems with long-term use I'll post an amended review.

With great anticipation I unboxed the fancy Staub Cast Iron 17 x 10 Grill Pan, Black but was shocked to discover that one of the ridges had the enamel already rubbed or chipped off (about an inch long). The enamel is about half a millimeter thick and it looked like the full thickness was gone. There were no apparent bits of enamel in the box, and the box didn't appear damaged in any way, so it was probably defective when it got put in the box. For such an expensive pan it seems there was poor quality control and the factory packaging consisted just of the printed cardboard box with some pamphlets thrown in. Not even a plastic bag or wrapped in paper. I'd be curious to find out if this is the expected packaging for Staub, or if the product I got was a poor re-pack of an open box item that had been damaged. This is going back to Amazon for a refund.

In contrast, before this purchase I had been at Macy's in person and saw the Emeril by All-Clad E6019764 Cast-Iron 2-Burner Reversible Grill / Griddle Cookware, Black. The packaging included bubble wrap inside the box and the surface of the pan looked perfect but I suspect the enamel is very thin. I guess I'm going to try that one instead.

The Non-Stick pan is above average, but not as good as the Emeril Stainless steel pan. I figured it would be the same pan with an Anodized/non-stick coating on it, but I was mistaken. It does not heat as evenly around the pan as the stainless steel Emeril pan, nor is it as heavy duty. The non-stick portion is pretty good, but it will scratch VERY easily (just like any non-stick I think). However, it is a decent pan and far better than any generic/disposable pan you would get at Walmarts or Sears. I would say it is about the same quality as a mid-range Calphalon pan. Which is surprising, because this pan is actually made by All-Clad. For he price you can't go wrong. I certainly wouldn't pay over $40 for the pan though. If you are looking to pay more than that, I would recommend a Higher end Calaphalon or All-Clad pan.

In short, you would be hard pressed to find a better non-stick pan for $40 or less. However, you can get better quality if your willing to fork out the bucks. If you don't absolutely have to have non-stick surface, then get the Emeril Stainless steel pan (also around $35/$40). FAR better quality for the same price!!

First one showed up with broken glass lid. Second one arrived a week later.

I have used this about a month, I use it about 3 or 4 times a week. Coating is already showing signs of wear. My old cheapy 12 inch was a full 12 inches at the top edge, the inside was 10 and a quarter inches. This unit immediately curves in to 11 and a half inches where the lid sits, and is only about 8 and a half inches where the food sits. That's a chinzy design for a $40 skillet. I would not buy this again.

I love this frying pan. I researched trying to find the "greenest" pan without compromising quality, and settled on Emeril's series. I got this pan for making curry dishes and other fun sauce-based creations. It is just right for that purpose, and looks good, too! It is fairly easy to clean-Sometimes I need to use one of those nylon scrubbers, but clean-up is quick.

But, I put it in the dishwasher to clean it and the gloss red outer finish was removed and now I have this drab red finish to observe. It is now the freak of my collection of cooking apparatus. Well, I should say my wife loves it. We wanted a "non-stick" pan that didn't use Teflon or other coatings that can leach into the food. This one fits the bill. Be careful, though, it is not as "non-stick" as the coated pans, but if you learn how to cook with it (the secret is lower temp), it's a pretty nice compromise. The quality is outstanding. Pricey, but we expect it to last a long time.

This deep covered casserole dish is perfect for serving large amounts of stew or soup. I use it when I have my family over or when I host my girls club lunches. It safely holds a maximum of 24 cups (or 160 ounces) this maximum amount leaves enough space to accommodate some sloshing without any spilling.

I cook stews and soups on the stove and use this dish to finish simmering or for warming in the oven while finishing details before my guests arrive. It is classy looking enough to serve at the table or on a beautifully decorated buffet. It can be tricky to safely maneuver in and out of an oven if you have it more than half full. My solution is to I put it in a large stainless steel baking pan to increase stability and make oven transfer easy. If you using oven mitts or potholders to move it from counter to table (and there is no condensation) you will be fine. I would strongly suggest using a pan underneath to move it in and out of an oven especially if filled to 20-24 cup capacity.

I also use a flat silicone lid like Norpro 413 Silicone Universal Suction Lids, 3-Piece Set when baking or warming something in the oven because the lid is very tall and I don't have to remove as many oven racks to accommodate the height. I love this product and the amazon.com price was a lot better than department stores.

I too added a circular piece of masonite to the bottom to give the bag a little more protection from the oven legs. My lid stand and spoon fit in the bag as well but the 10" model does not fit my lid lifter (I think it would fit in the 12"). Really worth having, cast iron is surprisingly breakable (doesn't seem like it would be but it is). These cases are padded. Each size case is generously sized for the DO that goes into it, so it's "frustration free packing." Not a hassle. I believe the padding also acts as insulation, though I've never put a hot DO in it. I think a warm one would likely be fine, so that would be perfect for transport. For me, lifting merits comment too. The DO is centered in it so it's a balanced carry-along. The legs don't seem to poke through, making you paranoid that it's going to rip. Well constructed. Not sure if it retards moisture for rust, but I think a DO would be better off in one of these than stored naked. Definitely worth having if you take your iron with you camping or to meets. Last but not least, it makes you feel like you're respecting your cast iron, snuggling it into a good case. And those of us who pamper and season our iron over the course of years... well, iron pieces deserve all the respect we can give them. I like vintage iron personally, but vintage DOs are hard to find, and Lodge makes pretty darned good DOs, considering. Yeah, I think you ought to buy one. It's really not a fru fru purchase. See how good I am a rationalizing spending money?

I bought this for my 2-yr old niece, because my sister has one exactly like it and my niece has shown an interest in helping her in the kitchen. Since my niece is really petite (even for a 2 yr-old) I thought this would be HUGE on her after reading some of the reviews, but since the neck and back ties are fully adjustable, it fit her just fine. Plus, since it is intended for slightly older kids, it's nice that she'll be able to wear it for years. The material is really really thin, which I wasn't too impressed with, but since it's so cute, it's easy to overlook that part.

I've been wearing Jessie Steele for three years, and I'm happy that my daughter finally has one too. She's 5 years old, and with the adjustable ties, she can easily make this last several years.
