I bought the Innova Kitchen Basics 2-quart covered sauce pan a few weeks ago from Amazon. I'm absolutely thrilled with it. I use the 2-quart size almost daily. It's heavy, cooks evenly, has cool handles. I recommend this line of cookware. I am going to order the one and three quart sizes soon.

Reviews of Kinetic Kitchen Basics Series Stainless Steel 2-Quart Covered
For the amount paid for this pan, it was well worth it. I do wish I had waited and paid more for a heavier pan---the lid feels substantial but the pan itself is a bit lightweight.

I'm glad the other reviewers have had such a good experience with this pan, but that's not been my experience, I wish it was but it wasn't. I purchased this (not from Amazon) for the reason most people do, trying to go green and stay away from chemicals. On that basis I guess its fine, but to call this pan non-stick is a real stretch. I would describe it as Non-Stick for a short time in the beginning or almost Non-Stick on some type of foods or Non-Stick for cooking eggs if you add lots of butter or oil to the pan. The pan does clean up easily thou and that's good cause half your cooked egg will still be there when you wash it. I own many Cuisinart products and have always been impressed with their quality and value. But this item does not even come close to meeting my expectations.
Now I'm here to purchase the 12 inch version.
Highly recommended.
I also like the fact that if you preheat it (don't get it too hot) it doesn't emit toxic fumes like standard non-stick materials.
The price is right, the product is awesome.

I bought this because I have an induction range and needed new non-stick cookware. I really love this skillet! The non-stick finish is the hardest I've ever seen and the pan is heavy and heats evenly. Packaging is recycled. The handle is made from recycled steel. It's safe to put in the oven. It is petroleum free, PTFEand PFOA-free.Now I'm here to purchase the 12 inch version.
Highly recommended.

I love this skillet...wish I had a 10" one as well, and even a 12". No matter what the product, scrambled eggs stick a little. So it is with this one. However, it isn't really stuck, it just isn't incorporated into the eggs that come out of the pan. A quick wipe with a paper towel and the "stuck" eggs are gone.I also like the fact that if you preheat it (don't get it too hot) it doesn't emit toxic fumes like standard non-stick materials.

Needed to find a pan to use on my new glass cooktop. Delighted to find this Teflon substitute which is made without the bad chemicals of other non stick pans. I looked for quite awhile trying to find a small nonstick pan that didn't have Teflon or other carcinogens. This pan works extremely well better than expected. I cook eggs with NO oil and they slide right off like in infomercials. The handle is at a good angle, the pan is attractive, and it works! Highly recommended!Wednesday, December 10, 2014

This is just an AMAZING product, I have been cooking chicken, steak, and fish. Put it on the stove, high heat, let the pan get so hot that the water runs around like marbles, then put your chicken in sear that side for 4 min turn it over 4 more min. Perfect most juicy chicken ever. Clean up is good, but the cooking is amazing.Best Deals for Fissler Solea Frypan With Low-Fat Novogrill Surface, 11-Inch

Cheap Garcima 18-Inch All-Purpose Pan Lid, 45cm
This product is exactly as described and a perfect fit for our huge paella pan. Looking forward to properly cooked rice when forced to make paella indoors in the future.
BEWARE! This lid is so light (8.3 ounces) and thinly made that it bends easily. It is one or two grades above a disposable aluminum pan. It does the job of covering a 17" cast iron skillet, but it would have been better if it was domed more.

I was very hesitant to buy this pan because there were no reviews on the product page and the price was better by far than any other sites I had searched. Their product photo was small so I thought they were hiding something. Then I decided either I wouldn't get a lid or it would be one of the lid's that used to be made in China that didn't fit well. I'm just being honest because in most cases I probably would have been afraid to take a chance. The company feedback on other items was very good. In the 12 hours I took to try and decide whether to go for it 2 of the 3 available pans sold so I decided to take a chance.
This pan is truly perfection. I am housebound and had never seen the D5 in person and wish I had many more pieces. I do have the copper core set because I had enough points to get a 7 piece set without paying cash plus it was the only set the site had in all clad. Both the copper core and D5 arrived on the same day. I really like the look of the brushed D5 and will be searching for a 3 qt. in it because I use that size saucepan most frequently. I made a french vanilla bean custard for homemade ice cream in the D5 yesterday and it was pure pleasure. Prior to last Friday, I had only inexpensive non stick saucepans I bought years ago from qvc plus odds and ends non stick specialty pans and one all clad older stainless skillet. There was no comparison to the control I had over my gas heat in the D5 compared to a similar french vanilla bean custard I made the week before in the older stainless non stick. I will probably find I like the copper core better for some cooking and the D5 better for others. It is substantial, looks beautiful with stainless in the kitchen and will be cherished. I received it in a manufacturers box very quickly. It's so nice when a seller and the product are better than you imagined and I wanted to be sure this review was available for anyone else that may hesistate.
For years I hesitated and settled for good quality imitations such as the Emeril's cookware but finally decided to treat myself to the real thing and find out if they are worth the high prices. Yes they certainty do. No hot spots, better results at lower heat, tight lids that allow even lower heats due to fantastic heat retention (just use a higher initial temperature put the lid on and reduce to low/medium and you get a better result than having to use med/high on other less efficient wares)
I got the same satisfaction than when I decided to buy chef quality knives ... Once you cut and dice with a "real pro knife" you know why it cost $250.
I think of these pots as an investment and a heirloom to pass on to my kids. These things are so well built that you know they will last forever (proper care of course)
I read reviews stating that you will do just as good with the classic trii-ply stainless but these are truly a step ahead. How can two layers of aluminum not be better than one? It keeps a uniform heat over the entire surface and sides at lower temperatures, perfect for braising, slow cooking, stews etc and also quickly searing and pan frying without hot spots trying to shuffle the food around so that each gets a shot at it ... With these the heat is uniform all around, just don't crowed the pieces during the searing process.
Yep I did pay a small fortune for a custom hand picked set but these are worth every penny.
Btw don't get drawn into buying the "sets" you don't really save much except if you really need the huge 8 and 12 qt stock pots and prefer frying pans over skillets.
I selected the 11 and 13 inch skillets with lids, the 1.5 and 3 qt sauce pans, the 3qt casserole steamer combo, the 4 qt sauté pan, the 6 qt deep sauté pot and 6 qt fry basket. That's the equivalent of 16 pieces for the price of their advertised 14 piece set. FYI I keep my Emeril's 6 qt stock pot that I will use for deep frying on my induction portable burner (it has a copper core and I won't suffer if it gets stained with grease frying at higher temperatures)
I prefer skillets and after researching realized that the 13 inch can also be used as a paella pan as they are similar except for the handle.
Word of caution, these are heavy, best suited for men or strong women not afraid to handle them.

Great product. I have had it several years. Very heavy duty. High quality stainless steel still holds its mirror finish. I would definitely buy this product again. I love the pressure regulator and the two different pressure settings.
It has a side hole as a safety feature in case the pressure gets too high. It shouldn't if you do what I just suggested. I'm not worried at all that it would ever explode. The top latches on very securely.
This size is nice because even if you cook beans where you can only fill the pot half full, that's still a LOT of beans! And you don't have to worry about them foaming up to the top and clogging the steam escape hole.
I did chick peas in 25 minutes and lentils in 10-15 (depending on how mushy you like them). It's really easy to clean. The steam output mechanism just pops out once it's turned far enough. I recommend soaking everything immediately.
I also read if you're cooking beans, a tablespoon of oil will minimize foam.
The only drawback was that the manual did not give much information on cooking beans. I had to go online to find that information.
and the cooker worked wonderfully for this. It would be really convenient if this cooker
included a rack, rather than having to purchase separately, but the cooker worked good
on the ceramic top stove.

I purchased the Tramontina 6L HD pressure cooker as a replacement for one from another manufacturer (the lid had become warped). I just cannot say enough good things about the Tramontina cooker, which received the top rating from Good housekeeping in a head-to-head test of range-top cookers. This model is very well designed and fabricated, using 18/10 stainless throughout (except for the multi-layer baseplate and the handles). The locking and other safety features are state of the marketplace, including the easy-to-clean pressure regulator valve assembly. But the real proof of this cooker's superiority is in the using; the pot is quick to heat to pressure and extremely easy to control. (My previous cooker required some fiddling with the stove to maintain pressure; this cooker is set-and-forget simple to use.) Cleanup is a breeze and everything I've cooked has come out just as expected--which is to say, perfect! To top it off, the Tramontina is very reasonably priced. In summary, if you're looking for a truly excellent pressure cooker, the Tramontina offers superior workmanship and superior performance at an easy-to-swallow price tag.Best Deals for Style Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Base Pressure Cooker Size: 6.3 quarts
Outstanding value for the price! The dual pressure settings are very useful for cooking a wide range of items from vegetables to pulses.Honest reviews on Style Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Base Pressure Cooker Size: 6.3 quarts
I'm so happy with this pressure cooker. It's really easy to use, very sturdy, and made to last, though I suggest reading the book thoroughly and testing it as it explains. Because it doesn't spurt out steam like the old-fashioned kind, but the steam comes out steadily once it reaches pressure (when the red pop-up button stays up), I wasn't sure how much steam should be escaping. The directions were not clear. Finally I read something on a forum that said that once the pressure is reached, you should turn it down as low as possible and very little steam should be escaping. The more steam that escapes, the more water that will evaporate. If the temperature is too high, your food may also burn. Once the red button pops up, turn down the burner until the steam is only escaping slightly but the red button stays put and you can't push it down. Start timing as soon as the red button pops up.It has a side hole as a safety feature in case the pressure gets too high. It shouldn't if you do what I just suggested. I'm not worried at all that it would ever explode. The top latches on very securely.

i have this item and recomend it to anyone who cooks. very easy to clean, good weight and price is right. have it for a year now and no problems with it at all. those who do or did, don't know how to use or clean it. i have cusinart pots and pans from 30 years ago and they still function like day one. i also have the first cusinart food pocessor it still works perfectly. only replaced the nylon shaft sleeve after 25 years of use.
PTFE & PFOA free
All Natural
Cons:
Not as not stick as other non-sticks
I also bought a ScanPAn frying pan that is very non-stick, more than this one, but still employs PTFE, ugh. With that one, I didn't even need to use a spatula, a small shake released the egg I was frying, flip, cook other side, slide onto plate. Thomas' english muffin with taylor ham and a fried egg. Yay for breakfast. With this one, I still needed to pull out the spatula to gently scrape it off, though no traces of egg was left on it. It is also harder to clean. With the other pan, the instructions say to add cold water once done cooking to use the steam to loosen debris and then just rub with a sponge. It is really that simple without any warping. The Cuisinart still had some issue getting it clean after cooking a piece of meat on it. I don't use heat higher than medium. It is cheaper though than the scanpan which is why I got theirs in 8" and this one in 10". If scan pan's 12" were cheaper I'd get theirs, but I'll settle for this brands due to pricing.
Edited:
I had to come back and edit it after more time using it. It is horrible, beyond belief. The first time was acceptable and I fried an egg sans oil. I've cooked using oil and is still sticks. I need to let food soak with water after cooking just to get to clean it. I'm going to but PAM to use with this pan, though it should not need it. Most non-stick manufacturers will even tell you that it is not recommended as it impedes the not-stick surface from doing it's job, but in this case, it already isn't. I don't heat it past medium, I don'y use abrasives to clean it, and I've cared for it like a baby. Scanpan's stainless steel is so much better, too bad I got an 8" for it, gotta save for the 12" I guess. A well treated cast iron skillet works better than this garbage.

I love this pan! I've been cooking for a living for more than 25 years and this is one of the best teflon pans I've ever used. Nice heavy aluminum, not one that feels like it was made out of a pop can. Handle feels very strong and is comfortable to grip. Made my husband fried eggs without using any grease and the eggs came out perfect. You taste the eggs not the grease. It came clean with just a quick wipe. The enamel on the outside is beautiful, shading from light to deep blue. I am looking forward to getting more of this cookware.
I got this skillet in December 2011 (not through Amazon). I used the skillet with extreme caution so as not to damage the inside. I have used these types of skillets as long as they have been made and until now got years of service out of them. I NEVER put it or for that matter any metal skillet or pan in the dishwasher or used a metal utensil in it. After no more than 6 uses, the inside coating started peeling out in chunks up to 1 inch.
I contacted the company and was told I had to ship it to them (me paying for the shipping). They would then review the product and determine then if they would replace or if it had not been taken care of properly. I was also told it could take up to 12 weeks before I may receive a replacement. So I'm without a big skillet for that long--I only have 1 12-1/2 inch skillet. Would they actually replace? Who knows... I have spent all the money that I ever will on Rachel Ray products. No Rachel Ray for me and I would highly recommend you purchase something besides Rachel Ray, unless you like to gamble or wish to make an investment in the product (initial purchase, shipping fees to return and maybe get a replacement and be without a skillet while they decide if they will replace it).
I like the high sides and makes it that much easier to cook with. The teflon seems very durable and should last a long time.
The rivets are not coated and things can accumulate around them. Just clean around the rivets and you should be fine.
The paint job on this looks awesome...a two tone color that really looks nice...unless you got the one I did. I got one with a nick in it and someone had the nerve to color over it with a blue marker.
I have used this numerous times so far. It works great and as described. I can see the bottom wearing off first, then maybe the teflon over normal or high use.
With the price and happiness it has brought me so far, I would recommend it to all!
UPDATE 1/30/13: I would say that though this pan is still a nice pan, it doesn't seem to hold well with use. The Teflon already has scratches in it where other brands I use do not. It seems that the Teflon isn't as thick as others that I have. I would say long term, it may not hold up as long as I would have expected.

Much better than expected. This is wonderful for all the frying we do! Love it and will definitely buy it again if it holds up over time.Best Deals for Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick 12-1/2-Inch Skillet
I hardly ever do reviews on Amazon, but I'm doing this to save you the disappointment I have experienced.I got this skillet in December 2011 (not through Amazon).
Honest reviews on Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick 12-1/2-Inch Skillet
First I would say this pan is a pan. It is coated with teflon and works wonders. It is a bit oversized compared to the standard 12 in pan and makes me that much happier.I like the high sides and makes it that much easier to cook with.

Wanted this set...but when I saw the saute pan I couldnt resisit. I thought that the pan would have come with a top, but I guess I have to wait for the full set. Otherwise I love the color, this one is a two toned blue, some are just plain ole blue so it gives it a bit more of a design instead of boring blue. The pan is a bit heavy, but my hands arent that great due to sickness but I manage. Pan is great, non-stick, none of the color fading or washing off. Would buy other sets, if she came out with a lightweight set I would love it also.Tuesday, August 26, 2014
Best Kitchen Meister Silicone Utensils Set Includes - Spoon Spatula Deals
I ordered the Silicone Kitchen Utensils Set in Red to use with my OrGreenics non-stick cookware. It's a breeze to use these utensils because they are safe for the environment, and safe in my kitchen as well. I especially love the versatility of sizes as the smallest can be used to ice cakes or desserts, and the triangular one is good at getting batter out of the bowl. The other spatulas are equally good for me since my pans are not particularly large. They accomplish the task well without seeping odors into the product (like non-treated wooden spatulas) and it's great for scrambling eggs. You can also hang these up if you'd like since they have holes at the top of the handle. Great gift idea too for bakers or chefs in the family!

-FDA Food Grade Silicone

These utensils have to be the most attractive thing in my kitchen (besides my wife). Very high quality, and so far very durable. Ergonomically they fit well in your hand (comfortable). I do 99% of the cooking in my household, but yet I find that every time I go to find one of the kitchen meister utensils its in the sink or dishwasher. I have no explanation other than they are so attractive, and my family is drawn towards using them. I wish they would keep there darn hands off them, unless of course they actually start cooking for me (yeah right). It is quite irritating when you go to grab your favorite utensils and you cant find them. I have even found them in my daughters room which just blows my mind? I think I am going to start hiding them where only I know where they are at! Overall great product great price!Best Deals for Kitchen Meister Silicone Utensils Set Includes - Spoon Spatula
I have only used these a few times but have been happy with them. The variety in sizes and shapes is useful and they have a good firmness/flexibility combo. Not a five star rating because one of the tops came off right out of the packaging but went back on and seems usable.Honest reviews on Kitchen Meister Silicone Utensils Set Includes - Spoon Spatula
I use these all the time. They wash really easily, and I like the color. I use the second one pictured for scrambled eggs, and it does a great job of preventing that sticky layer on the bottom of my pan.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Kitchen Meister Silicone Utensils Set Includes - Spoon Spatula
I use the two different-sized spatulas the most and love it. The other day I had sticky dough stuck to my mixer bowl and the larger spatula couldn't pull it off. So I used the Triangular-shaped scraper and it worked great. It was sturdy and didn't break when I scraped the sticky dough. I would recommend this product for sure.Saturday, August 2, 2014
Reviews of Emeril by All-Clad E922SD73 Hard Enamel 13-Piece Cookware Set, Blue
We got this set (in a black color instead of blue) for our wedding two years ago. Every piece is FANTASTIC. I've used single pans that cost more than this entire set that don't perform like these, so don't feel like you need to spend $1000 to get the best cookware.
The nonstick layer still performs like the day we got it after two years of use as our only cookware. Nothing sticks to these pans, at all! And that makes cleaning really easy. The aluminum construction means that the heating is extremely even. Even though the handles are all metal and riveted to the pans, somehow they stay cool enough to handle easily even while cooking. The glass lids make it easy to monitor how things are going in the pan. The strainers built in to the saucepan lids are extremely convenient for making lots of things. We'll make one or two small servings of pasta and strain them right out of the pot into a serving bowl. We stir fry in the big frying pan, and the flat griddle makes delicious pancakes. The cast iron pan is great for deep frying.

I bought this to compare it to the Calphalon pasta cooker and steamer.Calphalon Contemporary Stainless 8-Quart Pot with Glass Lid and 2 Inserts
Both have an insert with holes for pasta and another insert that sits above it for steaming. You can use either or both with the stock pot. Thin spaghetti may escape through the holes of the pasta inserts.
Both have the same defect that you need to put in two quarts of water to reach the bottom of the pasta cooker.
The Excelsteel is superior in that there is a vent in the glass top. One reviewer of the Calphalon said her top exploded, although I have had no such problem in many years of use.
However, the Excelsteel steamer is too shallow. It is only 2 1/2 inches deep. The Calphalon steamer is four inches deep. Sometimes I want to steam a lot of vegetables.
Neither this product nor the Calphalon are good for an induction stove.
I find the concept of this product and the Calphalon very useful. I have one recipe which requires cooking pasta and then cauliflower in the same water. It is very easy to lift out the pasta in the pasta cooker, empty it, and then put in cauliflower in the same water.
If you cook only four servings or less of pasta, you will find the Fasta Pasta cooker used in the microwave more convenient than boiling a lot of water. The Fasta Pasta is also a lot cheaper.
Fasta Pasta The Microwave Cooker
But I love the steamer of the Calphalon.
Either this product or the Calphalon are much better than pouring into a colander when making too much pasta for the Fasta Pasta.
This is not going to compete with the professional, high-end cookware also available, but for simple steaming and cooking pasta this set is not only hard to beat for the price, but a wise choice considering that many of the higher-end pots and steamer sets would be overkill if all you want is to do light duty food preparation. Granted, if I were using this every day or even 3-4 times a week I probably would have spent twice as much for a more professional set.
I did not experience issues reported by other reviewers, such as residue, discoloration, etc. I've used this set at least ten times since I purchased it (about 3 times every two weeks), and have had zero problems or issues. I also machine wash it with no adverse effects.
If you do occasional steaming or preparing pasta this is a bargain that will give you a lot of bang for your buck. If you plan to use this on a daily basis or more than four times a week you may want to consider a higher-end set.

This pan is nice heavy duty (18/10 Stainless Steel) pan which I am very pleased with. The 4-Piece set has a large basket is great for pasta, potatoes, brussels sprouts and other vegetable you might fix a larger amount. The smaller basket works great for steaming squash and spinach. I almost never use it without one of the baskets installed. I think this pan with the encapsulated base makes this set much better than similar sets that are not this quality of stainless steel of base. Liked it so much, I bought one for my mom and she loves it too.Best Deals for Excelsteel 8 Quart 18/10 Stainless Steel 4 Piece Muti-Cookware Set

Honest reviews on Excelsteel 8 Quart 18/10 Stainless Steel 4 Piece Muti-Cookware Set
This vessel cooks pasta just fine, but after running thru the dishwasher the first time it showed signs of rusting in the inner lift-out basket. The interior of the main cooking pot is stained and spotting. This unit is made in China, and my guess is that it's made with cheaper materials. I would not recommend buying this product to anyone for their $34. price tag. At $19.95 yes, it's probably worth it.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Excelsteel 8 Quart 18/10 Stainless Steel 4 Piece Muti-Cookware Set
I bought this 8 quart 4 piece multi-cookware set for a couple who love to cook. I hear that this is not only great for pasta, but for other things as well. This is simply a great set. I was a little apprehensive that it might be thin, as some reviewers have complained. But such has not been the case with my friends. They are very happy with their pot :)Thursday, June 19, 2014

It actually works. I don't know why. I even looked it up. I still don't know why. Something about absorbing enough heat to prevent foam from forming on the top of the boiling water which can suppress heat release and lead to heat build-up and boil over. But regardless my eggs boil away in the pot without boiling over. It rattles just a little on the bottom of the pot but now that I know what that is it's no problem. Kind of amazing how simple and effective it is.

I loved this tool. We used to have this for boiling milk when I was a child and when I found this at Amazon I was very happy. If the pot is very full with milk after a while it might boil over anyway, but it takes a lot longer ... I also use for boiling noodles, etc.Best Deals for Boil Control Disc
I've had one of these for many years, and decided I'd like to find a couple more of them. Lo and behold, Amazon to my rescue! These little stainless steel discs are simply practical and do an amazing job. No more worries, of the potatoes or squash boiling over again; these discs do the trick. No more boil overs ever with this little metal trivet. I use to have a glass one but would forget it was in the pan; when I applied cold water the glass would then crack.
