I bought this shelf for a very specific use in a confined space. It is sturdy and fit like it was custom made, so I paid the price. For general use I would have bought a less costly version that is every bit as sturdy, I tried to do that, but they were no longer available. Nothing special about this to justify the cost, unless you just happen to have specific dimensions to satisfy. It would have been 5 star, but the cost is exorbitant and I downgraded it for that reason only.

Best Organized Living Large Cabinet Shelf, Nickel Deals
I can't decide between this and the Deep Jumbo Storage Shelf by Panacea Products so I ordered both. By looking at the picture and the title, you'll think it's made out from a Nickel metal but when it arrives, it's just a wire coated with epoxy coating, the Nickel is the color of the epoxy coating. Not really a big difference between this and the cheaper Deep Jumbo Storage Shelf by Panacea Products other than the color and the Panacea is even a little bit longer.

I love Calphalon products because the quality is usually top notch. These lived up to that expectation. All the tools are very strong and I think will last for years. The wooden spoons are some of the strongest I've ever seen. My favorite part is that the stainless container can hold another 6-10 items so you could fit the remainder of your tools in it as well.

Just upgraded to the Calphalon cookware and purchased this as well. GREAT starter set! We love it so much, we purchased one for my husband's son who just returned from Iraq and loves to cook. This set is especially durable when using gas cooktops...handles the extra heat-source better than our other utensils. Highly recommend. Just wish it came with more options!Best Deals for Calphalon 7-Piece Cookware Mixed Utensil Set
The edges of the spatulas melt and deform with little use and medium heat levels. The wooden one cracked. I've tossed out all the spatulas within weeks. Still have the spoons but I've hardly used them. Cheap but expensive as disposables!Honest reviews on Calphalon 7-Piece Cookware Mixed Utensil Set
The product is okay as long as you don't use the plastic pieces to mix something a bit firmer (like a thick spaghetti bolognaise sauce) in which case the center pieces "pop" out. The fact that the center gray-colored pieces aren't "joined" to the main section is a bit worrisome as well as food pieces could get behind them even if they don't pop out which isn't very sanitary.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Calphalon 7-Piece Cookware Mixed Utensil Set
We received this utensil set with the purchase of a cookware set. The nylon spatula started peeling and deforming after only two uses--both times it was with medium heat and short usage time (grilled cheese sandwich and patty melt). I've already thrown it out. If you get them free, use them while you can, but I would not recommend paying for them.Saturday, December 20, 2014
Discount Calphalon 1836836 Nonstick 4-Piece Pizza Pan Set, Mini
My wife and I love making homemade pizza from scratch. We make the dough and the sauce from fresh ingredients. We normally use a large version of these pans that you can find just about everywhere but we always had several pieces leftover. I saw these pans in time for Valentines day and bought them to make a stay at home pizza date night for us. The pans are the perfect size for individual servings and are just enough to eat for us. The non stick coating on them is one of the best I have cooked on and the perforations cook the bottom evenly to make a light crispy crust. They cleaned up in a matter of minutes by hand and stack/store out of the way due to their size. The beautifully browned mini pizzas just slid off of them onto the plate. I cannot recommend this pizza pan set highly enough! One note: because of the wonderful non stick coating PLEASE wait till you get the pizzas on the plate to slice them. Make that coating last!

We like to make personal pizzas with the kids and until now we've just cooked them on aluminum foil on a cookie sheet. That worked fine, but one day Amazon recommended these pans and I took a flyer on them. So glad I did. The difference in the crust is night and day. Now our pizzas come out with a perfect golden, crispy crust. We were all amazed at what we'd been missing.Best Deals for Calphalon 1836836 Nonstick 4-Piece Pizza Pan Set, Mini
These pans are wonderful. I make pizzas in them and put them in the freezer and when I am ready to eat pizza I just take one out of the freezer and put it in my toaster oven. The directions that I received with the pans indicated that the pans shoud not be oiled but the first set that I made stuck to the pan so now I just spray the pans with Pam and the pizzas just roll right off when I am ready to eat them. I also use these in my Secura Halogen oven rather than using the toaster oven. This is a wonderful product and well worth the price.Honest reviews on Calphalon 1836836 Nonstick 4-Piece Pizza Pan Set, Mini

Best Ikea Kavalkad Frying Pan Set of 2, Black Teflon Classic Non-stick Deals
Like most people are, I was sceptical about buying this because it was so inexpensive but I'm glad I did. I've made eggs, bacon, French toast, and a bunch of other food items in these pans and nothing will stick to them. Be very careful about the utensils you use because metal will scratch these easily (minus one star) but if you use nylon then there should be no problem. These are built sturdy also unlike a lot of other inexpensive pans. I recommend giving these a try before dropping large amounts of money on other pans.
The larger pan is shipped with the screw in it and it appears to be ok.

I put "cast iron cookware" on my Christmas list last year, and my husband got me this. First off, it's not very smooth, even after a year of continual use. I very carefully clean and re-season my cast iron after each use. Still, if I rub a paper towel over any of it, I'll have little bits of lint stuck all over it. My two Lodge pieces, which are newer, don't do that they're much smoother. Also, this stuff is made in China. That doesn't sit well with me (I frankly can't believe my husband got me China stuff when we're trying so hard to get rid of chemicals and questionable items like this, but there you have it). Until someone can tell me that there is 100% absolutely no lead or other crap in there that the Chinese don't seem to mind tossing into things to make a buck or two, I'll always wonder. I'm slowly replacing all my Stansport stuff with Lodge for the above reasons. So I basically gave this stuff three stars because it holds my food well as I'm cooking. My two Lodge pieces are different sizes than the ones in this set and I use them whenever I can. I'll slowly switch out all these pieces too. And no, I don't work for Lodge. I happen to own the two brands and I like Lodge better for the aforementioned reasons.

One of the items listed in this set is a 5 quart chicken fryer. This chicken fryer is not large enough to hold a chicken and in fact only holds 2.5 quarts. This is decieving and wrong. I measured the volume with water and rust appeared in the fryer and dutch oven after I measured them. The seasoning was not complete. The handles are very short also. I now understand why the set appeared to be a good value. It's a good price, but you don't get what you think you're getting. I'm going back to Old Mountain cookware.Best Deals for Stansport Cast Iron Set Pre Seasoned
I was really impressed with these. I loved the easy clean and the way they cook. More expensive pots and pans have a certain evenness in the heat when cooking. The metal core of the pan/pot dissipates the heat evenly. I've bought cheap pans that will have certain areas of the pan that burn food while other areas do not get hot. These work just as good as expensive copper core pots/pans at a bargain price. My only beef was that the must have been sitting a for a long time in some dirty warehouse. They arrived pretty dirty. Not a biggie though. I cleaned and seasoned them. Gonna BBQ with these this Summer! :-)Honest reviews on Stansport Cast Iron Set Pre Seasoned

The pan is solidly constructed, and looks attractive. It heats up quickly also, and washing is easy. The only problem and annoyance is that the handle for the glass lid gets very hot, as does the main handle after a while. Having a glass lid is convenient, not being able to open and close it without getting a potholder or kitchen towel is very interruptive.Best Deals for Calphalon Simply Calphalon Stainless-Steel 1-Quart Saucepan
It works, it cleans. I use the it almost every day and it stays in excellent condition. What more could you want from a 1 qt. saucepan? People complain that the cover gets hot. I've never had a saucepan cover that didn't. Gotta invest in a potholder. I do like the glass lid can see in without taking off the cover saves wear and tear on the potholder! And it fits well.Honest reviews on Calphalon Simply Calphalon Stainless-Steel 1-Quart Saucepan

Purchased this recently and after two meals I already know it's the best sautee pan I've ever owned. It's weighty but not unwieldy, feels great, and spreads heat perfectly. It's also already responsible for the best omelette I've ever made and is in immediate full use as it's a huge upgrade from "the usual". With a lifetime warranty, I doubt I'll ever own another sautee pan.
this is the best pan I own. It is a beautiful piece of cookware. It sits on the top of my stove begging for me to heat it up until the oil begins to shimmer and toss in fresh sea scallops until they are a beautiful golden brown.
It cleans up easily, heats evenly, can be transferred from the stovetop to under the broiler, and because it isnt nonstick you can produce a nice fond after cooking a protein that can be deglazed and turned into a nice pan sauce.
Buy with no remorse. I recommend this brand to anyone interested in investing in quality cookware. I plan on replacing most of my old nonstick with the rest of the Masters collection line.
I like the long arched handle, although it can make a heavy saute pan seem even heavier.
One of the big selling points was that it had a copper layer. The copper layer is actually quite thin (see my uploaded image). The pan cooks great, but I think I was expecting a little more copper to help justify the high price.
The pan is not marked with the country of manufacture, but the cardboard box says it is made in China.
I would buy it again.

Best Deals for Culinary Institute of America Masters Collection 10" Sauté Pan
Solidly constructed weighing in at 3 pounds, 1 ounce. The sides have a mirror finish and the interior as well as the bottom portion that contacts the stove have a brushed finish. The brushed finish is rougher than the brushed finishes on most stainless skillets. I was concerned food might stick to it, but was pleasantly surprised. Food cooked great and cleanup was easy!I like the long arched handle, although it can make a heavy saute pan seem even heavier.

What first caught my attention were the removable handles: my storage is tight; so this is a bonus. These pieces have a substantial, well-balanced feel. The very best feature is that they conduct heat so efficiently that for the very first time my stove was able to maintain a low simmer without either burning or losing the boil. I was able to make a brilliant cream sauce with stove and pot behaving brilliantly. Am very, very pleased!I really wanted this cookware to work on my induction cooktop. One could argue they do work, but not very well. I have other induction cookware so I conducted a test with one pint of water to see how long to bring to the boil. Result: all the pans take nearly 5 minutes to come to the boil whereas my stainless steel pans take about 2.3 minutes. So there is the dilemma. I like the pans, they are well made and have a very nice 'feel' and they may work very well on conventional cooktops. But they are supposed to be suitable for induction and people buy induction hobs for the speed not just to work. Reluctantly I think I will have to send them back and look elsewhere.

Discount Artland Iris Highball, 17-Ounce, Set of 4
We like glasses made of thick glass that kind of resemble the crackle glass styles of old. I think the price is reasonable: $5 apiece. We had another set of the amber color that have been our everyday glasses for over five years. They still look out of the box new. This glass doesn't seem to scuff like the cheap thin glass does.
Very disapointing.

I'm in love with these cups! They are stunning in person. Not your typical glasses (which I love). They arrived on time and well packed. To me the glasses are thick and they have some weight to them. They not not likely to get chipped or cracked if they get hit softly. Overall I do recommend. The color matches the online photo. I've had these glasses in red for over two years now and they still look beautiful! They are durable, very thick with a heavy base. They have a bubble effect, which looks great! They transition well from everyday to slightly formal dining. They have a mark on the bottom that I think is from being hand blown. Because of this, they are all just barely different heights, which you only notice when you put them away in the cabinet. If you are looking for glasses that won't break easily and look amazing, look no further!Saturday, September 27, 2014

This steamer insert fits my 4 quart Cuisinart saucepan really well. It's not perfect and does lose a bit of steam between the pot lip and the steamer, but that's to be expected since it's a universal insert. I like that it has two loops instead of one long handle like many of the others. The loop handles aren't very big, so they can be a bit difficult to hold if you have thick oven mitts on. It is not as thick and heavy as the Calphalon insert I've had for my Calphalon pans, but a lighter insert can be a good thing. I haven't had any issues with denting, though I've only had this for 2 months. Please note that it does not come with a lid.

Basic Essentials 5-Quart Polished Pressure Cooker Reviews
I got this pressure cooker at thanksgiving 2010. I use it at least every other day since then. If you follow directions it is the safest and easiest pressure cooker I have ever used. I have used all types. antique screw downs, huge ones, prestos, and this is the best and I have never had anything stick to the bottom like my last 2 prestos before this one. I always make sure to wash and immediately dry my gasket after each use and make sure it has no oil on it. It is now time for a new gasket, but everything else on mine is in perfect working order. Since the gasket replacement is about 1/2 the cost of a new one I am opting to buy a new one at this point. It has beyond paid for itself 10 fold in time savings. It says something when you are a repeat customer. I am very familiar with pressure cookers but have recommended this to friends that have never used one at all. I always recommend staying close to it though for anyone. Also helps us eat healthier. You can have 2 bags of frozen turnips or lima beans ready 20 minutes after rocker starts rocking. Make sure to add a little oil so it will not foam up.
Follow UP: this is not the pressure cooker I bought before. this is the recession version. I struggled with this pressure cooker 2 hours to get it to work. It is too tall and skinny. Previous version was wider and not as tall and metal was thicker. Ok so after it boiled over and foamed out of the top three times and i had to cool and totally wash lid and liner and dry reheated for it to do it again. I had to add at least 8 tbsp oil (usually add 2) to meat for it not to foam. ok I have a GE Profile electric stove and on high it took 13 minutes to rock, and the old one took 7. with the old pressure cooker after that i would lower temp (stove has dial 1-9 then high) to 7. with this one you have to lower temp to 5 for it not to foam or spew liquid from around handle. i hope this follow up saves you the couple hours to figure it out yourself. once we got it worked out I am thinking this may be a good pressure cooker for frozen veggies. Buying a new gasket for my old model. I don't forsee doing a bigger roast in this one. it is too skinny and narrow.
UPdate: in new market for another pressure cooker. there are no gaskets for replacement on the market for this kind. My hubby even went to ace hardware and out of the many ones they have he couldn't find anything close and I even mailed a check to company that had address in users manual and they sent back the check saying they had no idea what i was even talking about and they didn't carry it either. ALSO this pressure cooker may be the most dangerous i have ever used. ONLY let the temp from naturally. if you cool under the sink hot liquids squirt out of the sides at full blast and have twice burned me even though i was not even touching the pressure cooker.
Unless you cook entire chickens or large hunks of meat, or cook for 4 or more people, it is a bit large for a cup of rice or beans. In that case there is an identical 3-cup version.

Discount Rachael Ray Hard Anodized Nonstick 15-Inch Oval Grill Pan, Orange
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $39.99
Sale Price: $32.99
Today's Bonus: 18% Off

I bought the pan because I was in the market for a griddle type pan, and I was really interested in the new oval shapes in cookware. I enjoy Rachael Ray's show and follow quite a few of her recipes, and that orange trim really caught my eye, so I bought it.
Other than the fact that I wish the handle were on the shorter end rather than centered at the widest point, (because maneuvering can be tricky unless you have a huge rangetop), I'm pleased with the way it cooks. I'm lucky enough with a large enough kitchen that I can leave it out, because it's rather eye-catching, (I bought the saute' pan too, with the lid) and I find myself using it more and more often. It's great for searing. I made wonderful porkchops last night. I recommend it if you don't want to spend a fortune, but still want those nice grill marks in a pan.
But the key point is simple: this works pretty well. Once the weather gets colder, I begin to use grill pans a lot more. For small jobs, I have a nice 10 inch circular grill pan. But when I have to grill chicken or pork chops or fish for several people, that pan just doesn't do the trick. And there is where Ray's grill pan comes into play.
My recipes for grilled chicken and fish for three (or sometimes four) people calls for a larger grill pan. The oval pan here is just the ticket. I put it over two burners (maybe I'm sinning in doing this) and grill the food. The end result is pretty good. The nonstick surface seldom leads to what's being grilled sticking (some nonstick surfaces aren't nonstick!).
All in all, then, I really appreciate this grill pan. If my experience is typical, then this is something that those wanting a good grill pan might think of acquiring.

I actually bought this pan on extreme impulse...to make a flank steak philly cheesesteak something-or-other that I caught on the Rachel Ray show (demonstrated on this very pan,of course). The size is unique and very useful for long cuts of meat or to set things off to the side like a real grill. It is truly non-stick and cleans up very easily. It's heavy gauge, even-cooking, and decently priced. I find Rachel a little annoying to listen to generally...but I'm glad I listened to her this time!Best Deals for Rachael Ray Hard Anodized Nonstick 15-Inch Oval Grill Pan, Orange

Rachael Ray's recent cookbook has "orange" in the title, because, as she puts it, it's her favorite color. This grill pan, as one might guess, has a characteristic orange handle. But the key point is simple: this works pretty well. Once the weather gets colder, I begin to use grill pans a lot more. For small jobs, I have a nice 10 inch circular grill pan. But when I have to grill chicken or pork chops or fish for several people, that pan just doesn't do the trick. Replaced Cuisinart lids with this and am very pleased with the quality.
It is vented and the plastic handle doesn't get hot when on the stove top. It's also nice that the lid is clear so you can watch the progress of the food cooking without having to remove the lid.
