I have had this set and individual pieces associated with this set for quite some time and I love it. I'm someone who brings my lunch with me to work daily and absolutely love the ease of these products. The sizes are just right for an entree and one or two sides. I use the mugs for chili and soups, the bowls for entrees, french onion soup, pumpkin pudding and a laundry list of things in between. Just last night I made chicken pot pies. Baked, frozen and later on today they'll be microwaved. Perfect for those who enjoy cooking, enjoying leftovers, bringing lunch to work and easy clean up. Staining and retaining odors does not happen with these, as it can with other storage products. They certainly win hands down over plasticware with regard to its versatility.

The cups a great for soups and other dining liquids. The bowls are Great also. I take care of my 82 year old grandmother & she just love how she can take a can of soup and poor it into the cup, cook it in the microwave then what she does not finish she can up the lid on and put it in the refrigerator. When she wants it again just take out of the frig. and put it directly in the microwave. Clean up is good also only on problem with them and that would be the lids. After a little time the plastic exsorbet a red tint from tomato based products. Other then this I'm buying them for all my friends as Christmas presents.

Love these pieces for reheating. I do wish they could make the small bowls with a handle so it isn't so hot to pick up after reheating. The lids fit a little snug (which makes it hard to get them off without spilling the contents) so I just don't snap them all the way down in the microwave. The bowls clean up beautifully but the lids stain easily.

I've been using these crepe pans for a little over a month, for once-a-week weekend crepes. After about 4 times use the non-stick coating on both pants began chipping, and voila my crepes consistently stick and burn to these spots.

Secondly, while the handle was meant to be designed as a cool handle on a hot pan, the hardware bolts on the bottom of the handle get scorchingly hot and burn your fingers consistently. I thought that I'd get used to grap the handle in a certain way to avoid burns, but I have not used it often enough to remember. And now with the non-stick chipping away, looks like I'm not going to.

These are excellent potsthe nonstick surface is an improvement over regular old Teflon and they're heavy and spread the heat well. Gotta love the splendid red color, too!

I find these cook a bit slow, but that's a good thing; I haven't managed to overcook and mangle a single thing in these pots. The heat spreads well and stays consistent, I haven't had any "cold spot" problems. They're also a snap to clean, I like an OXO Nylon bristle dish scrubber. Nothing sticks and pots almost wash themselves.

I wish they made a 12 inch skillet; but this is a perfect starter set and easier to use than a lot of fancy pots are.

The item description did not state that if you use these pans on a ceramic/glasstop stove the pan may "fuse to the stovetop requiring replacement of the stovetop". If you don't have a glass cooktop this is a very nice set for the price.

This is great cookware, I am wondering if anyone is actually reading all the directions???

About glass top stoves, etc, it just states do not slide your pots all over as to scratch, and NOT to cook an EMPTY POT on a hot glass top stove or the damage could happen, NOT with normal use!! You are never supposed to leave a hot empty pot cooking anyway!!

So, don't let that scare you from getting this great cookware!

Finding a good cooking fork is hard. Finding one for nonstick pans is even harder. Sharp tips easily pierce and hold. Not made for lifting a turkey, but will handle most anything else. Those fancy forks with the large grippy handles can fall out of small pans, This fork Won't. Tips are a bit flexible, but we'll see how it lasts.

I have a nylon meat fork, but the tines are a bit wide and thick for piercing or turning thinner meat cuts. The tines on the Amco fork are not strong enough for piercing or lifting solid roast cuts, etc., but then I can use the older fork for those. This fork works fine for what I wanted and I like the design sleek and easy to clean. It's a nice length and has a nice weight being neither too light or too heavy. If you need a fork for light duty turning and lifting this should serve you well, but don't expect to lift a roast or ham (even small ones) or the tines on the fork will probably cave on you.

I got this knife as a gift and had my doubts that this could be so great. In my experience, any sereated knife cut bread pretty well. Boy, was I ever wrong. This knife slides through a loaf of bread, hot from the oven, like a hot knife through butter. Usually you have to let bread cool some before cutting or you get this crushed mass of food. With this knife I can cut it straight from the oven in 2 easy strokes and leave it looking like a slice of bread any professional could have done. My husband and I want to cut our own bread so we can use the knife ourselves! Who would have thought it could be so much fun? The heft is good and it's a decent size. I love it!

I really wanted this cookware to work on my induction cooktop. One could argue they do work,but not very well. I have other induction cookware so I conducted a test with one pint of water to see how long to bring to the boil. Result: all the pans take nearly 5 minutes to come to the boil whereas my stainless steel pans take about 2.3 minutes. So there is the dilemma. I like the pans, they are well made and have a very nice 'feel' and they may work very well on conventional cooktops. But they are supposed to be suitable for induction and people buy induction hobs for the speed not just to work. Reluctantly I think I will have to send them back and look elsewhere.

The first dish I received came broken in several pieces. Sent it back right away with UPS picking up next day and Amazon shipped out another same day. Because I have prime, I had my new dish within another 2 days. Then they sent an email when they received the broken one back. Very easy to work with. This is a very nice dish. Food scrubs right off making it easy to clean. The only reason gave it a 4 was because I could see the sides are not straight, they are bent in a little. That's probably why amazon has them, but it still is a great dish, I love these styles.

This is a perfect crock for my small kitchen. It holds a substantial volume and my small hand very easily fits, although I use a chinese soup spoon. I purchased this item to complement the Rachel Ray Hard Anodized set that I already owned. While in the pictures they look the same the plastic handles on this item are made of a different material and feel cheap and plasticy (not a word). These handles also get very hot while cooking unlike the other pots from the set. The metal is a little bit thinner than the pots from the set as well. However, overall it looks close enough to make me happy and gives me that extra pot which I desperately needed.

We recently purchased two Lyon-line dutch ovens from Tramontina. The quality of this product as it is intended is superb in performance. It does all it says it will do. However, the whole unit heats to the same temperature throughout its entire surface, including the cover and cover handle. For someone who is accustomed to cooking with other products, cookin with the Tramontina Lyon becomes a dangerous task if one forgets to pick up the silicone mitten to open it of move it. Instinctively I reached for it to uncover and it gave me a little taste of its temperament. I already burnt myself twice and my wife refuses to venture into cooking with it. It's hard to comphrehend that a product so good and expensive couldn't have merited a thought into safeguarding the handles and the cover handle to shield the customer from burns, reason why I only rated it with three stars. I thought about getting a silicone brush but believe me there is nothing like the real thing, that is real brush hairs to absorb liquid and brush on your food, it just feels better and more natural.

I purchased this from another site, paid $93 (now listed at $97). A big part of my decision to purchase it was because they said it had riveted handles -they're NOT -they are welded. Amazon doesn't say this. It's a nice pot. Nothing stuck when we made chili like it usually does in my other pot. However, I would like it to have the mirror finish like Farberware pots do. The "point of sale" box that it comes in leaves MUCH to be desired. Our pot was dented. This is the second one I ordered that came dented. The first (a different brand), I purchased from Costco and sent it back. We kept this one because we wanted to use our pot and the dent was not severe. I'm only giving it a 3 star because the finish on the INSIDE could be nicer (seriously -I could care less about the outer finish -I'm cooking my food on the inside of the pot!) and the packaging was JUNK! It did, however have some bubble wrap which is more than I can say for the one from Costco which had a little bit of paper on the sides of the pot -no protection on top or bottom.

Though a small sauce pan is not something I need for every meal, it comes in handy on many occasions. You just can't beat Nordic Ware for quality and workmanship. I'm not cooking for a family so have no need of a larger sauce pan, although I plan to get the 2 1/2 quart in the near future. I suppose this pan would do well for sauces if I did such things but it's perfect for a can of veggies or soup. I'm replacing every piece of cooking/baking equipment I have with Nordic Ware plus adding pieces of their wonderful Bundt pans. I may not make the best tasting cake in the world, but it sure looks pretty! Every order has been well packaged and delivered quickly. I can't see myself buying anything but Nordic Ware. If they don't manufacture it, I don't need it.
