Based on the photo of the product I thought I was buying a roaster oven with a lid. When the lid arrived I thought they had shipped the lip separately, WRONG.

What I bought was an extremely overpriced "Lid".

I requested a refund and was directed to seller, who issued a refund.

The cost of the UPS for the return was not provided and I spent a lot of time and money on what I feel was a misrepresented item.

In all the years I have been an Amazon customer, I have never experience and problems buying and returning items and certainly not something which I feel is really close to "bait and switch".

I will make sure I carefully read any future purchase.

I am surprised that Amazon let this product be sold with existing photo.

This brand name was recommended by a friend and I love it. Can be used on the stove top and then popped into the oven. Large enough for a small turkey or a casserole to serve 6-8 people. Incredibly easy clean up. Will plan to purchase more pieces of the set.

I put "cast iron cookware" on my Christmas list last year, and my husband got me this. First off, it's not very smooth, even after a year of continual use. I very carefully clean and re-season my cast iron after each use. Still, if I rub a paper towel over any of it, I'll have little bits of lint stuck all over it. My two Lodge pieces, which are newer, don't do that they're much smoother. Also, this stuff is made in China. That doesn't sit well with me (I frankly can't believe my husband got me China stuff when we're trying so hard to get rid of chemicals and questionable items like this, but there you have it). Until someone can tell me that there is 100% absolutely no lead or other crap in there that the Chinese don't seem to mind tossing into things to make a buck or two, I'll always wonder. I'm slowly replacing all my Stansport stuff with Lodge for the above reasons. So I basically gave this stuff three stars because it holds my food well as I'm cooking. My two Lodge pieces are different sizes than the ones in this set and I use them whenever I can. I'll slowly switch out all these pieces too. And no, I don't work for Lodge. I happen to own the two brands and I like Lodge better for the aforementioned reasons.

One of the items listed in this set is a 5 quart chicken fryer. This chicken fryer is not large enough to hold a chicken and in fact only holds 2.5 quarts. This is decieving and wrong. I measured the volume with water and rust appeared in the fryer and dutch oven after I measured them. The seasoning was not complete. The handles are very short also. I now understand why the set appeared to be a good value. It's a good price, but you don't get what you think you're getting. I'm going back to Old Mountain cookware.

I was really impressed with these. I loved the easy clean and the way they cook. More expensive pots and pans have a certain evenness in the heat when cooking. The metal core of the pan/pot dissipates the heat evenly. I've bought cheap pans that will have certain areas of the pan that burn food while other areas do not get hot. These work just as good as expensive copper core pots/pans at a bargain price. My only beef was that the must have been sitting a for a long time in some dirty warehouse. They arrived pretty dirty. Not a biggie though. I cleaned and seasoned them. Gonna BBQ with these this Summer! :-)

After having made arepas by hand for over 40 years, and refusing to use any machines, I have to admit I was wrong. My family gave me the Miallegro Arepa maker for Christmas, and as soon as I used it, I decided I will not make them by hand any more!

I plugged it in and proceeded to heat the Arepa Maker as indicated. Meanwhile, I mixed the arepa meal as usual and filled every space and closed it to heat up. My whole family was observing the cooking time (I set it to 15 minutes) in anticipation. Taking out the arepas once they were cooked was easy and hassle-free.

Surprise, surprise: The exterior was cooked to perfection, nice and crunchy, and the meal inside was totally cooked, also to perfection. Big applause, everyone took an arepa and filled it with grated gouda cheese. You should have been there to hear all the Uhhhmmms and Ahhhs!

Did 2 more batches (family of 6 hungry men) and the results were always the same. I have since been using this Arepa maker twice or more a week, and I am very satisfied with the end result.

Perhaps the only issues that could make this Arepa maker better are: 1. Make the Round time setter more rugged, for better grip. 2. Put a bell so that it rings when it's done!

Our sons plan to buy the Miallegro Arepa maker, to use it in college. They love it! I love it!

The shape of the arepas in this thing is great, nice and thin, and it cooks fast too. There are only 3 cavities that I would consider to be "regular size" arepas (same size as other 4 cavity units), the other 4 cavities are considerably smaller (maybe 65% the size of a regular arepa). The good part is the heating system, from a cold start, I had 4 arepas ready in approx 10mins, its got plenty of heating power, also the arepa molds are a nice shape, very flat on top and bottom, not dome shaped like other units. There are a few flaws with this unit that I think are deal breakers though. The main one is the latch, it is made like junk. On an arepa maker, the latch is very important, as it keeps the plates in tight contact with the arepa so it cooks quickly and evenly. The first time we used the unit, once it started heating up and the arepas started to expand a little bit, the pressure broke the latch retainer, which is a thin piece of very brittle plastic that is designed for high temperature (but cracks like it is made of glass). The other weak point is the blue knob on top, its really a mechanical timer that turns the heating on and off. Very sloppy and low quality. Overall this thing is built like &*#@. The unfortunate thing is that most of the better made units (ie Oster 6 cavity, Bene Casa 6 cavity, etc) are really unavailable at the moment (no one has stock and doesn't know if/when they will ever get more), so this thing is pretty much one of the best large unit currently available (I've heard the IMUSA has issues where it does not cook fully, the Brentwood is not as good as the oster), and there are not many other choices which is really sad because I could not honestly recommend this unit.

This product is cheaply made. It makes nice thin arepas but I used it maybe 7 times only and the knob broke. It smells terrible when its heating, releasing what smells like toxic fumes. The saying "You get what you pay for" well describes what you get when you buy a Miarepa. I do not recommend buying this. It went to the garbage bin.

I have owned and used 3 Presto Pressure Cookers in the past 35 years, they are the best! I owned another brand for a short time, it did not perform the way my Presto does, so I gave it away! I have never had any problem with my pressure cooker's, Presto is very easy to use, just be sure to use the right amount of liquid with whatever you make, after time you will be a pro and will be able to make up your own recipes, it is fast, and makes the most toughest cut of meat super tender! I usually cook my 7-bone roast for 45 minutes, and the meat just falls apart! Great for cooking Artichokes too, add 1 1/2 cups of water, your Artichokes, place the lid on and when the cooker comes up to pressure, reduce heat to a slow rocking (the pressure regulator you put on the top of the lid) and cook for 15-17 minutes depending on the size of the Artichoke, they will be perfect! Do your own experimenting and enjoy the cooker, you will be hooked just like me!

As some others aparently couldn't figure out, this pressure cooker has a cleverly designed safty interlock in the cover that will prevent you from opening it if there's still pressure in the pot. This is so that you won't burn all the skin off your face with high pressure steam. If you want to open it right after cooking, you have to run cold water over it to cool it, which reduces the pressure.

As for it's cooking ability, it's amazingly fast. Things that normally take several hours to cook (e.g. dry beans) take only 1/4 the usual time, or less. My only complaint is that it's not big enough for large meals -you can't fill it more than 2/3 full.

Our 20+ year old 4 quart Presto pressure cooker has had at least half a dozen gasket replacements. We're pretty old, so I thought it was time to get my 79 year old cook, and lovely wife of 55 years a bright new pot instead of just another gasket.

The old one worked well for all these years, and the new one already has a dozen or more cooking cycles on it and appears to do as well as the one it replaced.

BTW: we replaced a 6 quart Presto at the same time and the comment is the same on it.

My 4-qt. pressure cooker arrived (Presto Mod.#01241), and the handle that attaches to the pan has one center screw. Unable to tighten securely. I then ordered a high temp./very strong brand of lock tightener (cost more than the pressure cooker). No help. Very disappointed. The handle that attaches to the cover has two screws, making a very secure fit. Could Presto re-design the lower handle to attach like the upper onewith two screws? I hope so, because the Presto brand is otherwise the best of the lot.

I bought this knife to replace it's relative, one that was just in the price range below this one. The difference is obvious in the heft and balance. I recently ordered this knife in lieu of purchasing the J.A. Henkels knife block set that runs about $169. Boy, am I glad I did. This knife is sturdy, SHARP, and definitely forged, not pressed like the knives in the block set. The balance is very nice and you will notice the difference in the amount of force needed to slice vegetables. I will be purchasing the other knives from this line over time.

used the broiler pan one time to broil a steak and the non stick started to come off. this was the first time using this pan and I am not going to use it any more. This is a waste of money when you can only use it one time and then have to stop using it for fear of getting the non stick coating in your food.

The products made by Barazzoni are the extreme best in the world. Fabulous heat rendition, at low inputs, quick cooking, easy cleaning (except the exterior). I rather enjoy cleaning and polishing the exterior copper after each use the pans looks so spectacular when cleaned. This works equally as well in the oven, up to 450F, when cooking racks of lamb and other roasts. Absolutely worth the very high price for a piece of total quality.

Have been using for a while now and it is exactly what I wanted. Keep wine in refrigerator and then set on frozen doughnut which you keep in freezer. We use almost daily and keeps wine cool all during dinner. Very handy down here in Florida.

Beautiful styling and very practical. We've had this for about 9 mos and we use it for cucumber water at the dinner table several nights a week. I put the carafe and lid in the dishwasher with no problem. Simple enough for everyday but elegant enough to serve wine/mimosas for dinner/brunch guests. Also purchased one as a gift for a friend and she loves it. The ice base seems to help keep the contents cold for an extended period, but we don't usually use it for more than an hour and we haven't tried it outdoors in the heat of summer.

The dish was delivered in time in perfect condition. It is very good for cooking and can be compared to Le Creuset Dutch ovens that we are also using. This is great value for money. The finish, size and appearance are good. We will have to check longevity though. We are happy with the product.

This is the size I wanted and at least it is not boring white or brown. I like the red, but I don't like the way the lid fits. It slides too much. That's really my main issue with it, but at least it has a lid! I like my food hot and I need a lid to keep it that way! I thought when I ordered it that I would not be thrilled with the "handles" and I was right. I ordered it anyway, because it was one of very few 1.5 qt casseroles and the best of what I saw. However, it works just fine for me, even if not absolutely perfect, and I would recommend purchase if you need this size (medium) casserole. If Paula Deen had made one at 1.5 qts (hers are 1 and 2 qts) I would have gotten that instead they are cuter and I love the Paula Deen 1 qt that I also ordered. However, Paula also does the brown (ugh) but fortunately does the green also and it is a pretty green. Well, next year the colors will no doubt be different. Sorta like the weather in New England it'll change pretty soon.
