Sterno is great ... no fuss, no muss, it works all the time. I thought I was buying the larger size. I recommend the larger size (7oz). You can buy a two pack and carry less and burn more.

This is a very useful product. It is very light and small so it is easy to pack and carry. I use it to warm my tent, especially on a cold damp night. I use it to heat the canned rations I often carry, and, with a little imagination, I have used it to cook game when it is too wet to make a fire. I recommend carrying some of this just to be prepared.

1 year after having it:

I purchased this mug last fall, & was very happy with it during last winter because it worked great. It has the narrow bottom design to fit the car cup-holder. I only used it for 3, 4 months during winter & it sat in my cubboard until recently.

A few weeks ago, I took it out again to use it for my son. He told me the cup leaked as he carried it into his class. Turns out the close device under the lid is warped, and therefore, it leaks as he swang it arround while walking.

Last week, when I pour hot liquid in it, I start hearing this hissing sound. Then last night when I pour some hot apple cider into it, it hissed so loud & 1 spout shooted out from the bottom of the mug.

I do not know how that happened, because it looks like the mug is double wall, and the inside seems to be 1 whole piece. Since it's stainless steel, it has horrizontal line texture, & I wonder if that is where it hides the seam. As I write this review, I take the mug out & pour some tap water into it again, to make sure I am right before I submit this review. Sure enough, the thing leaks like a faucet.

I have to go today looking for another travel mug, and this MrCoffee won't be it.

Mug is good. Keeps coffee hot. Only fault is the lid. Cannot drink out of lid properly. Fits nicely in compartment in car.

Great cup to go with my new Mr Coffee single serve coffee brewer. It fits nicely into the single serve and into my cup holder! Looking at some of these fancy coffee mugs I noticed the price can get up there in dollar signs...this was a good price for a fully stainless coffee mug. Good quality and keeps my coffee hot for a good period of time unlike the plastic "double wall" mugs.

I'm a self-confessed cookware junkie and professionally-trained home chef. I have at least 60 or so different pots and pans, and actually use most of them regularly. I've been biased toward Calphalon Anodized (not non-stick) for nearly 20 years, and still love the line. I got into Calphalon Tri-Ply, which is superb, but thought I'd try this pan to see if the value was there.

IMHO, Calphalon Tri-Ply, Cuisinart Multiclad, and KitchenAid Clad all have far surpassed All-Clad for various reasons. Basically, All-Clad hasn't changed its design in ages, and has missed out on a number of very real improvements.

To Wit: the rolled lip that eliminates pouring drips and runs of liquid down the outside of the pan. A simple improvement, but a huge one for simplifying clean-up later, and for whatever surface you rest the pan on. So far, I think Calphalon has the best lids -glass, deep draw, and very nicely fitting. This Cuisinart pan's top fits acceptably well, but it's probably the weak link. As for strengths, this pan weighs in as heavy or heavier than either the All-Clad or Calphalon offerings of similar size, so that's a big win for heat dispersion and uniformity (All-Clad has become really thin over the years!). Unlike the KitchenAid, the exterior is matte finished except for the top 1/2 inch or so. This helps to ensure that the pan will look good despite real-world use. The shape is nice -not too tall and narrow, so it works well on a small burner.

Finally there is the handle. This doesn't have the cool-V design of the Calphalon, but it stays pretty cool anyway. I have a major problem with All-Clad handles, which are extremely uncomfortable for me, the way I lift pans (I have very strong arms and wrists, so I usually lift pans overhand, unlike many who go underhand to get the extra muscle leverage). Lifting overhand, the All-Clad handles dig into my palm in a very uncomfortable way. These Cuisinart (and Calphalon and KitchenAid) handles do not.

4.5 stars overall; 1/2 star docked for the lid being less than perfect (but still as good as all the competition except Calphalon).

UPDATE: Feb 18, 2009: I've compared the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro and All-Clad Stainless pans side by side, and if anything, the Cuisinarts are heavier duty, certainly not meaningfully lighter! The All-Clad LTD pans (some of them) do appear to be thicker/heavier than their stainless counterparts, but then we're comparing apples and oranges, and in any event it's pretty much gilding the lily to go much thicker than they are already. The pouring lip on the Cuisinarts is a huge in-use advantage as well (far less messy). On the whole, the Multiclad Pro line is an incredible bargain. Search my reviews for other comments about these vis-a-vis Calphalon etc.

This pan looks great and performs great. It's less heavy duty than All-Clad, but unless the kitchen is in the middle of a stone quarry it is plenty, plenty heavy duty enough. And it looks great, too. In addition to the price advantage, another lead over All-Clad is the turned lip. One disadvantage, though, is the handle. It's not a light pot, and when it is full it is simply heavy. The handle is not broad/thick/shaped enough, and there is no helper handle on the opposite side. It works, certainly, but the 2006 version could be improved.

Best Deals for Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless-Steel Saucepan with Cover

I thought I would love this pan. And I do love the multi-clad. And the handle's fine, along with the rivets.

The problem is the lid.

For some reason, the Pro and stainless Chef's lines use a lid that just sits on top of the pot rather than utilize the lid they provide for the non-stick Chef's line, one that has an underrim on it and is seated within the pan (like the Calphalon lids; and, like the Calphalon lids, the non-stick Chef's line lids are glass). The end result is that if and when the contents begin to boil, the steam begins to boil over, even if the contents themselves do not (and if it's anywhere near full, the contents boil over as well; either way, you have a mess). Therefore, unless you watch it like a hawk, or leave the lid off, the 1 1/2qt pan becomes, practically, a 1qt pan, and you may as well get the 2qt if you want 1 1/2qts capacity. Or go with the non-stick Chef's line. Or Calphalon (which, unfortunately, is nearly three times the price).

Honest reviews on Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless-Steel Saucepan with Cover

I bought this pan because of the similarities to the Calphalon Tri-Ply and the All Clad Stainless I own, but at a lower price. When it arrived today, I was delighted! Every bit as high quality as the much more expensive pans I own.

The interior and the exterior around the lip is mirror polished so very easy to clean. The bottom half and the base of the pan is slightly brushed so that it doesn't show scratches or fingerprints. It features a slightly curved out lip for dripless pouring that is identical to Calphalon. The handle is well balanced and doesn't get hot when cooking on the stove. The lid is a heavy gauge stainless and fits snugly.

It features the aluminum core that is sandwiched between 2 layers of stainless steel. Note that this is NOT the less expensive disc base you find on lesser products. It is smooth and seamless and provides superior heat conduction and retention. You will definitely need to use much lower heat if you've been using cheaper pans.

These do not have a non-stick coating but they clean up beautifully. If you ever burn something, use a little Bar Keepers Friend and your pan will look like new. It will also go into the dishwasher no problem.

I can definitely recommend this line so from now on, I will check All Clad, Calphalon Tri-Ply, and Cuisinart Multiclad Pro and then choose whatever's on sale because as far as I'm concerned, they are equally high quality.

This cookware overall is an excellent choice for the price. It heats uniformally cleans up well and looks great, I have them hanging on a pot rack in the kitchen. The handles do well on heat they don't get to hot unless they have been on the burner for an extended period of time but I've used more expensive pots that heat up much faster. If I have a complaint it's that they haven't expanded the line at all. I'd like to see more choices in the multiclad like like they have in their other sets.

I ended up giving the bigger pans to my sister who has 3 large boys I don't need them that big. I am keeping a look out for smaller ones as these are nice heavy pans.

The only thing I don't like about them is if your water is boiling and you have the lid on it causes the lid to rattle and splashes liquid all over the stove so it's hard to use thses pans for simmering your food.

One of these pots is 14 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 inches deep. The tallest pot is 13 inches in diameter and 9 inches deep. The "frying" pan is 12 X 2 and the smallest dutch oven is 10 inches in diameter and 4 1/2 inches deep. The smallest pot is 9 inches in diameter and 3 !/2 inches deep.

First time I used the "fry" pan for waterless cooking, I followed all instructions: Wash first in dishsoap and vinegar, cook without salt, cook only on medium or low heat, don't leave dry pan on heat, don't store cooked food in pan, etc... My food turned out perfectly cooked and delicious (mushrooms, red peppers, chard and garlic with 1/4 c water.)I had no burning or sticking whatsoever, and my veggies were actually sitting in water when done.

However, the bottom of the pan did not come clean. There are some faint brownish spots and a blue/brown swirl. I washed the pan well with soap and vinegar, but I'm thinking maybe it should have soaked and I should have really scrubbed them. They warn that if factory oils are not removed before cooking that brown spots will occur. They warn that if heat is too high the blueish cast might appear. I started with 1/4 cup water, used medium heat on my electric burner, added veggies and covered, then turned to low once it began to steam. Perhaps my medium is too hot.

I used the smallest dutch oven to boil pasta. It came perfectly clean. I like the set, but would not recommend to those who want perfectly spotless pans.

More instructions would really help. Also, no receipt came and the name of the product is not on the warranty or the page of instructions. Make sure to print out your Amazon receipt, as it is required for the warranty.

I love the stainless steel pans but I didn't realize just how large around each piece is. It would have helped if the dimensions of each pan were listed with the information. The tallest cooker is okay but the roaster that is shorter does not fit on my glass cooktop. I might be able to use it on an outdoor cooktop sometime. The lids aren't interchangeable and if you put them upside down in the pan you can't get them out unless you turn the pan upside down or put the plastic strips between them that came with the set. There also are no instructions but having had waterless cookware before, I am able to use them. They are beautiful pans but also heavy!

Honest reviews on HealthSmart 10 Piece Element Cookware with Thermo Control Knobs

Some of you may not know but this is a brand name pots and pans. These are not sold in stores. A lady who works for a company like Mary Kay, Avon, Pampered Chef, etc... came to cook my husband and I a dinner using these pans and they made the sales pitch after showing me the benefits and how to use them. Although we did not buy from her I love the products. They typically for a 10 piece set sell for over $2000. The reason there is not a lot of directions is because they are typical sold from an individual who knows how to use these rather than the internet. Don't get me wrong I will by from the internet because it is cheaper but I know how to use them with no questions asked. The brand is saladmaster, This company prides itself on being a safe and healthy cookware. When you cook in other pots and pans the teflon/ metals actually come into our foods. Also when you cook in water it dilutes the natural favors and nutrients which is why everything is steamed with these pots and pans. FYI it isn't stainless steal. It is titanium.

I am really happy with this pot rack. It looks fantastic and it hold all the pots and pans that I needed it to. I was concerned that there were not enough hooks but there are, I don't think I could add another pot if I needed to.

I love this item but had to visit the hardware store to replace it's ceiling hardware which I did not find practical. I bought 4 stainless steel hooks so I can screw them directly to wood stud in the ceiling. I didn't want to hang a potential 200 lbs items to the ceiling dry wall material. Better safe than sorry.

Honest reviews on All Clad 773 Magnatrack 36-Inch by 22-Inch Hanging Pot Rack with 12

We own All-Clad cookware and have for years, having first Ltd, but replaced them with All-Clad's copper core cookware to use on our induction range. We needed a new pot rack and after researching many racks settled on this one, not because it was an All-Clad rack, but because of its appearance and sturdy and functional design. It arrived promptly, ordered from Amazon. It was everything expected and was easily hung and accommodates all of our pots and pans so far. Its stainless steel design complements the overall appearance of the pots and pans. The magnetic hooks stay in place and makes placement and removal of the pots easy. It would easily service any type of pots and pans.

I highly recommend this pot rack.

This is a beautiful rack, that of course matches quite well the All-Clad cookware. I did not install as directed and as the online video suggests using the anchor bolts and not tying into the ceiling joists. Instead, I purchased replacement bolts with a wood screw thread, and tied them into cross "helper" joists I ran between and perpendicular to my ceiling joists. This way the rack is MUCH sturdier and able to support much more weight (not that I expect to put any more weight than recommended on the rack). Most importantly, I will not be worrying about whether my ceiling alone will support the rack. I should note also that my old home, built in 1922, has plaster and lathe for my kitchen ceiling, rather than sheetrock.

My wedding gift mixer (a Sunbeam Mixmaster) turned 33 a week before Christmas, and my husband thought it was time for me to have a new one. He gifted me on Christmas with the KitchenAid 5 Qt. Artisan in white. I love this mixer and leave it out on my counter, something I never did with the Mixmaster. I recently purchased the citrus juicer attachment from Amazon and am very pleased with it as well. I have not read all 109 previous reviews on this site, but I have read a few that were disgruntled because their Artisans did not mix well. I initially had the same problem with the beater/bowl clearance. It is very simple to remedy. There is a beater adjustment screw on the mixer and the manual describes how to make the adjustments. I got even better instructions by calling customer support at KitchenAid. The technician told me to drop a dime into the empty bowl, turn the mixer on (about setting 2) using the flat beater, and it should move the dime 1/4" to 1/2" each time it rotates around the bowl. This is the right clearance for the beater to mix everything at the bottom of the bowl, but not low enough to cause wear on the beater from constant friction with the bottom of the bowl during usage. I tweaked the screw setting 1/4 turn each time until I got that dime moving. At this setting, I can now beat a single egg white to stiff peaks in the 5 qt. bowl. That's impressive.

This mixer is as sturdy as a tank, and you can hear the quality as it mixes. Although I had previously purchased a KitchenAid mixer for my daughter as a gift, I would never have splurged on one for myself. I am so happy my husband thought I was worth it!

In short, don't be. Most of the relatively small percentage of negative reviews on this mixer fall into one of three explainable categories, so if you're considering it, follow along:

The most worrisome category of complaints about this mixer involves a very small number of stories about the food-grade grease that lubricates the internal bearings leaking out of the mixer and into the food-bowl. Although reported in only a tiny percentage of reviews, this was probably the one complaint that worried me the most, simply because if true, let's just say it: it's disgusting.

The first thing to keep in mind in evaluating this complaint is that EVERY electric mixer requires lubricated bearings. Changing models or brands won't change that, and although there may be design differences that make the possibility somewhat different across various models, it's just going to always be there to some degree on every mixer. It's pointless to waste time, in other words, worrying about something that is going to be a possibility on ANYTHING you can possibly buy. So that's the first category.

The second category category of complaints has to do with the mixer dying somehow, either arriving dead or dying quickly. It seems a lot of these complaints are dated from 2007-2009, so maybe there really *was* something going on, but those seem to have tapered off. For the rest, I can only say that speed matters: 2=LOW for dough, 4=MED for batter, and 6=HIGH for creaming. Speeds 8 and 10 are ONLY for whipping air into cream or egg whites with the wire whisk. Anything faster than 2 for kneading dough and you're literally playing with fire.

I can say this with the authority that only comes from wrecking a lot of motors. The quickest way to burn out an appliance is to exceed the available power with the requested load, so the number one way to kill a mixer is to simply add a large quantity of sticky dough and then crank up the dough hook while saying "if 2 is good, then 4 is better and 10 is best." Turning up the speed increases the load, leaving the motor with no reserve capacity as the dough gets tougher. The result is easy to predict.

The second way to kill an electric motor, surprisingly (and you won't be warned about this one by the manual) is to use it with an extension cord, especially a light-duty one. This is the appliance equivalent of running a race while breathing through a straw. You don't run your stove that way, you don't run your refrigerator that way, and you shouldn't run your mixer that way, either. Even WITH the recommended amount of dough, and AT the recommended speed (2), you can still kill it this way. (Please see the comments on this review if you're interested in more discussion on this).

Anyone who is unaware of either of these points will naturally and understandably blame the mixer when it starts smoking and burns out. I'm certainly not saying one of these types of abuse explains every single case of mixer failure--there have to be SOME manufacturing defects--but I'd be willing to bet one of these two things explains 8 out of 10 of them. If you really do need a mixer for large quantities of dough every day, then please invest in a commercial-grade mixer like a twoto four-thousand dollar Hobart mixer, where the designers KNOW the duty-requirements you have in mind. You shouldn't try to haul two tons of rock with a half-ton pickup truck all day and expect it to last, nor should you make the equivalent mistake with a mixer.

The remaining category of complaints seems to be some version of the beaters hitting the bowl. This is a simple adjustment that has been covered elsewhere, but if you missed it, all you need to do is place a dime in the bowl and use the adjustment screw (in the crook of the tip-up hinge) to lower or raise the flat beater until it moves the dime just 1/4 to 1/2 inch on each sweep. This is only end-user adjustment you'll ever need to make, and it likely solves the entirety of the remaining category of complaints I read about.

I decided to take a chance on this mixer despite the negative reviews, after thinking it through in this way, and I'm very happy with it so far (and wow, is it ever better than the old Sunbeam stand mixer I had for ages!) If it ever quits or I change my mind about it, I'll let you know; otherwise, the deal on Amazon is as good as you'll find. (UPDATE: That last comment was made back when this mixer was selling for $229, but the price has risen dramatically since then. The rest of my review still stands...)

This KitchenAid mixer is an excellent investment! I just love mine! The dough hook attachment is the greatest invention ever. No more kneading! I used this wonderful machine to make 4 pounds of Pizza Geina dough without breaking a sweat. Add your ingredients, turn it on and it does the rest! It has a very powerful motor and every part of this mixer is excellent quality and well made. It is simple to lock in the mixing bowl and it is also a breeze to clean. The different attachments are very easy to attach and remove. It would be impossible not to love it! Did I mention how easy the clean up is? I love it so much I bought the KitchenAid quilted cover for it. Once you use this mixer you will never want to use anything else! The Best!!!

Honest reviews on KitchenAid Artisan 5-Quart Stand Mixers

I have celiac disease, which is essentially an allergy to wheat protein, and I've been GF for 5 years now. (Why does that sound like I'm at an AA meeting?) When I first started baking all my own breads, cakes, etc., from scratch, the books said that I needed a bread machine. I bought one and it didn't work so well with the GF "funny flours." A book finally told me to forget about the machine, buy a stand mixer and use the oven. Brilliant!

I bought my Kitchenaid and haven't looked back. I use this thing at least twice a week, sometimes every day. I don't know how I lived without it. My mom just bought one after she saw me calmly measuring stuff and dumping it in while the mixer mixed all by it itself. (She's been suffering with a handheld all these years.) Stand mixers also mix more thoroughly than handhelds. They also can mix chocolate chip cookie dough all the way to the end of the flour additions.

I've had my Kitchenaid for about 5 years now, though 3 moves, and it's still as sturdy and reliable as the day I bought it. The paint is still perfect. Not a scratch. Certainly not a chip. It's beautiful and lustrous. I have Onyx Black. While I like the look of the Onyx a lot, it's obvious if there's a little flour dusting the top of it. This makes it convenient to clean, but if you don't use it very often but do want it out, you might want to choose a lighter color that won't show dust.

Caveat: It's heavy. B/c I use mine so much, I display it on my counter, drag it forward, use it, wipe it off with a damp rag, and push it back. (And wash the bowl, of course.) But it's worth it's weight in gold. They are a lovely appliance. Not like a frumpy toaster.

Also, a previous review somewhere said that it left dry ingredients in the bottom of the bowl and didn't incorporate them. There's an adjustment screw that you have to fine-tune before you use it. Instructions are in the booklet. I adjusted mine before I used it for the first time (I compulsively read instructions,) and never had that problem.

Buy yourself a proper mixer. You'll be so glad you did.

First, the mixer works great. Everything most home-bakers could ever want. But I strongly suggest you select a smooth finish. I got the Krinkle Gray. (Don't know if thats still available.) It looks very 'professional', but it's hard to keep clean. After the first batch of bread dough, the mixer was nearly white, and it took some serious scrubbing to get the flour off the textured surface.

As to the mechanics of the mixer itself, very few complaints. The tilt-head makes it possible to remove the bowl without dismantling the beater (unlike the lift-bowl models). I mainly use the dough hook, and have found that the motor tends to bog down just a bit on extremely heavy doughs. But as I always do the final kneading by hand anyway, its not a major issue; just a little more hand work.

If I ever buy another stand mixer, it will definately be a KitchenAid. Thing is, this mixer will probably outlast me by decades.

I am very clear about my criteria for cookware. Pans must feel substantial without being too heavy, must heat evenly, must be easy to clean, must be adaptable to a variety of uses, and finally, must look good hanging in my kitchen. This pan easily meets all these criteria! Since I received it (excellently packaged, as fine cookware should be), I find I use it often, always with excellent results. And I love pairing it with the CIA steamer insert. Now that I am retired and have more time to enjoy cooking, I have begun treating myself to cookware I can truly be excited about. I am so glad I decided to purchase this piece.

This is my first saucier, and I can say that it is a wonderful shape in which to cook. Whipping, or stirring with a silicone spoon, is so much fun when the shapes match!

This particular saucier seems to do its job very well, with even heating and good heat retention. It is also, IMO, very attractive in a utilitarian way. The 3-quart size is perhaps too large when making a bit of sauce for two, but quite nice for something like gumbo or risotto. I think someday I will get the 1-quart as well, and most certainly stay with this manufacturer. The top for this pan also fits 1 or 2 other CIA pots. There is also a steamer/pasta insert available.

I would also like to point out that the weight of the handle is NOT so much as to unbalance the empty pan, as happens with some of my All Clad pans that have difficulty laying flat on my electric stove.

I recently left an empty 5 qt. Calphalon saucepan on a burner, and ruined it. I searched and searched, but couldn't find a 5 qt. replacement anywhere (I had purchased it many years ago).

So instead I purchased this 4 qt. saucepan as a replacement, keeping my fingers crossed that it would do the job I needed it to do. Surprisingly, the Calphalon steamer insert that fits the 5 qt. also fits perfectly in this one. The Cuisinart lid also fits perfectly on the Calphalon steamer insert. They even look like a matched set, you wouldn't even know that they were two different brands.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this pan. It has all of the things I love about my All-Clad LTD, and some additional features that make it maybe even superior to All-Clad (? time will tell). It looks like All-Clad, seems as well made as far as handle rivets etc., is much lighter (which I find appealing, the older I get), and has a well-designed ergonomic handle that stays cool. Heat distribution is excellent, just like All-Clad. Unlike my All-Clad, the handle on the cover also stays cool, and the Cuisinart is dishwasher safe. Clean-up is a breeze too. Just for kicks, I left food in it overnight to harden on. The next morning, I filled it with soapy warm water and let it sit for a while. Soon, the formerly hardened and stuck-on food wiped right off with a soapy sponge. I noticed after the pan was washed that the inside bottom had some rainbows, but I spray some Pam in it and wiped it with a paper towel, and it is shiny and clear again.

I've decided to order a whole bunch of these as a New Year's treat and belated Christmas present to myself. Some of my other Calphalons have seen better days, and I've never really been happy with Calphalon's performance anyway. I expected more for the price they charge. This line will give me a fresh boost in the kitchen for a very reasonable price.

Oh, I should mention that I also really like how you can loop the cover's handle over the pan's handle, and leave them together to hang them on your pot rack. I can't do this with any of my other pans, I have to keep the covers separate in the cabinet. It'll be really handy to have the corresponding cover with the pot, when I'm doing things in a hurry in the kitchen. I may start to enjoy cooking again!

I got this to compliment my 12 piece set. All of the unlimited pieces are wonderful. Great weight, wonderful heat distribution and easy (dishwasher) cleanup. I recommend using a bit of non-stick spray or olive oil but if you don't, and food sticks, it still comes off easily if you let a little soapy water sit in it.

This pan replaces an older Cuisinart pan of the same size, that had a disk bottom and non-clad sides. The multiclad heats more evenly and sticks less. Part of this may be due to edges that are slightly more rounded than the old pan. It does not require much gas to keep things boiling. The handle is comfortable (unlike the ridiculous All-Clad handles), and neither the handle nor the lid gets too hot to hold. The lip makes for a dripless pour. It cleans very easily, and I am very pleased.

Honest reviews on Cuisinart MultiClad Unlimited Dishwasher-Safe Saucepan with Cover

Really needed a replacement 4 quart saucepan wanted quality and a pan that could be cleaned in the dishwasher, didn't cost a fortune and did not have any interior coating that would scratch as mashing potatoes over the years had trashed my old Millenium Farberware saucepan. This fit the bill perfectly and works great...keep the flame

under the saucepan low as it distributes heat well.

I ordered the 2-qt. size and am very pleased with how it cooks and how easy it is to clean. This is a versatile size for cooking soup or small servings for one or two people. The handle seems well-balanced and stays cool. I like the lip around the rim for pouring, which All-Clad lacks. Mine arrived with no apparent dents or defects. I was hoping to use my Progressive collapsible steamer basket in this pot, but alas, the pot is a little too narrow and the steamer leaves cannot open wide enough inside to stay below the rim. I think I'd need a 3-qt. pot to use my steamer.

I looked at different brands of stainless cookware before purchasing my LeCreuset and here are some of the features the others don't have that sold me on the LeCreuset. The pans nest evenly inside one another. The design of the handle allows the lid to fit into the handle. These pans are heavy the extra handle is a big bonus when you have a full heavy pan to lift or move. I love the stainless lids that come with this cookware. The steamer insert (purchased separately) fits THREE different sizes of pans, comes with it's own glass lid, too. All of the pots have measurements on the inside walls for easy measuring (especially when reducing liquid).

This cookware, heats and cooks everything very evenly. These pans are very easy to use and clean. I have experienced some bluish discoloration that I am not happy with, but I am assured that it is only cosmetic and does not adversely affect the cookware.

This is great cookware, designed to last a lifetime of good hard use in the kitchen. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for excellent quality clad stainless cookware.

The brushed stainless steel on the outside is very attractive. These pans heat very evenly because the 3-ply construction goes all the way up the sides of the pots, not just at the bottom. This cookware is NOT made in France, as you would expect, but is made in China. I don't see any difference in the quality, either visually or when I am cooking, so I guess Le Creuset exercises proper QC over the manufacturing process. However, having said that, I have only recently acquired my cookware. If the handles come loose or the set doesn't hold up well to ordinary wear and tear, I will write an update. I like the weight of the pans, not too heavy (like the Mauviel copper pans) and not too light (like the Calphalon tri-ply stainless). Overall, I am happy with the purchase. Shop around for the best price, because some places offer this same set for 40% less...

Le Creuset is taking a shot at the high-end stainless cookware market with an exceptional product.

I got a set of these from a major department store. The quality is excellent. The saucepans are heavy and similar to the All-Clad, with 3-ply layering that isn't just on the bottom, but all the way up the sides. The rims are designed for pouring without the contents dribbling down the side of the pan. The handle is comfortable, although the pan is heavy. The lids are snug fitting and the bottoms are nice and even perfect for induction cooking or any smooth-top surface.

They are dishwasher safe, but I'm going to hand wash them, at least until the novelty wears off :-)

I have only used them a few times so I can't say how well they hold up, but the well respected company offers a lifetime warranty.

They're beautiful and a pleasure to cook with.

I would recommend keeping an eye out for sales. I got my set on close-out at 50% off. I think Le Creuset is having trouble breaking into the high-end cookware market so you might get these for a steal.

Honest reviews on Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless-Steel 8-Piece Cookware Set

After shopping around for quality cookware, the most glaring negative about most of the big shot brands was the uncomfortable handles. Thankfully, Le Creuset stepped in with their perfectly designed handles!

This set contains all the essential cookware one would need. I don't have enough storage space for a larger set, but if I had to narrow down a more expansive set to five pots and pans, this would be the exact selection. The non-stick pan is perhaps the best non-stick pan I've ever used out of 15 or so pans. It's on the small side, but it's great when cooking for two. The sauce pans are also a good size when cooking for two, and the lip on the pans is very well suited for no spill pouring.

All the pans heat evenly on the stove, and the sides of the pans don't deviate too much in temperature from the bottoms. I would put this cookware up against any of the top of the line brands. I'm a bit incredulous that this set is not more popular. This is a fantastic cookware set for casual and serious cooks alike!

Requested a return

Inside dimensions were 14.5 inches at bottom and top measurement was just over 15.5 inches which is not the 16.5 inches in the description, thus too small for my needs. Pan is rated for only 400F, below my needs. Handles measure more than 20.5 inches which does not fit in my oven.

Looks nice and well shipped.

I have purchased FOUR of these! One for each home we have, one as a back up and a 4th one as a gift. I amm amazed at the quality of this pan. We use it for turkey, prime rib and lasagna! Easy to use, easier to clean.

The item arrived three days ahead of time, was perfectly packaged, and looks amazing. The picture and description did not do it justice. This pan is heavier than anticipated, especially the rack. NOT the usual cheesy rack that comes free with pans! Thank you amazon for offering something of this quality at such an astonishingly low price!

Honest reviews on Wolfgang Puck 16.5 Inch Roaster w/ Rack

I comes with a really heavy duty "V" rack that is also SS. Pan itself is a lot heavier SS than I expected. Should last me forever.

I prefer a non-toxic pan for cooking which is why I purchased this glass cookware.

For cooking vegetables and items that don't stick really badly, the Visionware has been great. I use this particular pan mainly to sautee or steam vegetables and to fry bacon.

It cleans up nicely when you soak it and scrub it out with a plastic scrubber. I then place it in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning.

I have used Visionware for about 22 years, including this frying pan. I don't know why Visions made a 10" and a 10 3/4" skillet but I have both sizes and I have several of each due to my tendancy to batch cook.

The frying pan has never failed or exploded on me.

However, there have been some complaints about exploding Visionware (Google is your friend).

Some incidents can be attributed to thermal shock such as running cool water in a hot pot, or placing the hot item on a cool surface, or putting the cookware on a heat source with no water in it.

Also, if you have chipped, cracked, or scratched cookware, it is recommended that you discard it.

I would recommend carefully checking your cookware and discarding it if it is damaged.

You will want to avoid scratching it with metal utensils.

A top quality cast iron item from a well known manufacturer I like to use it to make french onion soup-for-one The shape combined with a well fitting top allows for slow cooking as required.

If you want fresh cooked veggies or fried rice for

one or two people this is the wok to use. Coated

cast iron is easy to care for and has a nice glass

lid as well. Heats quickly, sits flat on the stove and cast iron creates an even heat that cooks

food nicely. This wok is also attractive and you

may want to leave it out between uses to enjoy it's good looks.

This Wok is very small. The quality is definitely there, but the very small size really limits what you can do with it. The advertised size is .5qt and it holds exactly that, which fills it to the brim. I am still trying to figure out a niche for this dimunitive wok, and if I do, I will update my review.

This little wok is perfect for stir fries intended for one individual -maybe for two with rather limited appetites. All in all, far too small for anything other than quick meals meant for a single person.
