I bought this because I don't have much cupboard space. I wanted to put ziplock bags and foil in it but the foil is too long. I ended up using it in my office supplies cabinet. The nickel coating is nice... looks like chrome if you don't look at it too closely. It doesn't look cheap like white does.

Great basket, a nice size that stores several small bowls

Beware of shelf thickness I thought it wouldn't be a problem, but apparently our pantry shelves are ever so slightly thicker than the brackets are designed for, which means the 'arms' stick up a little on the shelf above it. We strategically put plates around it so it wasn't an issue, but FYI!

One of the concerns we had was whether we were going to get the analog version as one of the reviewers mentioned rather than the digital one that was mentioned in the printed info and model number. I used the online chat to verify and was told the digital would be shipped. I suggested they change their photo. We did in fact get the digital version.

The convection oven we replaced was very loud compared to this, so that's been a nice advantage. One of the things we don't like is that you can only set the timer in 5 min. increments. It looks nice, but I ordered it thinking it was going to be as big as the one we had which took one of those long lasagna pans. What I didn't account for is that in the one we had, the dials were above. This one they are on the side so that took up part of the interior space also. Just wanted to mention this in case somebody else is measuring and not accounting for that as I did. Not a big deal, we purchased some smaller baking dishes.

Then we noticed that the bake feature without the convection option is for toast and not actually baking, so the only settings you get to use on baking is how dark you want the toast to be. That means there's no way to set it at 350 degrees for making cakes or something. That's a HUGE disappointment since we wanted to avoid using the bigger oven with this machine.

The two racks do not come out easily and in trying to tug them hard, you could have the plate / dish fall off the rack as you're struggling with it. Although it has two racks, there's so little space between them that you can't use both of them for most of the cooking you want to do. They would take two pizzas, but not two plates with food on each to heat up. We don't use microwaves, so we've always used the convection oven to reheat foods on plates. If you have enough room on the bottom rack for the plate, the top rack is too close to the heating / broiling element to get another plate in up there.

It's a really nice looking oven if you don't need to use it for anything but toast and pizza or one dish to heat up. But that doesn't fit our needs, so we're really disappointed and plan to return the item and begin looking again. I think this time we'll read the manual online which we can hopefully do at the manufacturers' website.

BUYER BEWARE!...Delonghi "Customer Care" (as they call it) is the absolute worst I have ever experienced....ever! (I apologize in advance for the length of my post. I've never done this before, but my experience with Delonghi has been SO BAD that I felt I had to report it....and in order to do so I wanted to be as thorough and exact as possible).

I purchased the top of the line Delonghi DO-1289 Convention Toaster Oven on Sept. 4, 2012 (which...BTW...has now been discontinued). Within a few months the control knobs became less responsive and it later became apparent the unit was going to need to be repaired or replaced. Not a big deal, these things happen....so I called "Customer Care" which (as you will read) has turned out to be an extreme exercise in patience.

My first attempt was on May 24, 2013 at 10:17am (central time...where they are located). After navigating their phone tree (which we are all now accustomed to) the recording told me my call would be answered in 2-3 minutes (great I thought), but after waiting 54 minutes (and never actually speaking to a live person) I figured something was wrong (or they were inconveniently closed on Fridays or something) and I hung up.

I called back on May 30, 2013 (Thursday) at 3:42pm (CST), but gave up after 7 minutes as I realized the 2-3 minute expectation they set was not going to be met and I did not have another hour to waste.

Third time is a charm they say, and on June 4, 2013 (Tuesday) at 1:35pm (CST), after waiting on hold for approximately 42 minutes (the total call time was 49 minutes) I finally reached a representative...things were looking up! I told the rep my problem and she created a case, told me the procedure, and sent me a confirmation email which reiterated the return procedure and mailing address.

Now here's the tricky part...their procedure is that you cut the cord from your Toaster Oven (rendering it completely useless), mail the cord to customer care and then wait for a replacement. (Why they don't immediately send out a replacement like other companies do (HP as an example) prior to sending in the defective unit is beyond me, but that's the procedure so I played along). We opted to wait two weeks until the kids were out of school before officially "cutting the cord". (Note: The cord was mailed using Tracking/Delivery Confirmation).

On June 21st, 2013 the severed cord was confirmed (by USPS) to have been delivered to Delonghi "Customer Care-less".

On June 26th, 2013 at 3:37pm (CST) I called Delonghi to confirm receipt of the cord and to get an update on when I should expect a replacement. The call took 21 minutes to complete...a vast improvement over previous calls, BUT....to my growing disappointment, the rep proceeded to tell me she could not find my case in the system and nothing had been initiated yet. After more waiting she was finally able to confirm they had received the cord, and that the unit was in fact under warranty...glad we got that behind us (again)! Not to worry, she said, she had processed the order and a replacement would be on its way shortly.

On July 9th at 3:07pm (CST) I logged another call (that lasted 54 minutes...again). It had been two weeks and NO replacement or correspondence of any kind. This time I am told the unit is out of stock and they don't know when they will have more units available. They offer to send me a lesser quality Toaster Over...to which I refuse. Completely frustrated at this point, I ask to speak to a manager, and it turns out the manager doesn't know any more than the service rep... so I insist the manager talk to someone at the corporate level who actually knows what's going on and to give ME a call back with an update as to when I can expect a resolution.

On approximately July 12th I receive a message from the service department manager letting me know that she still had not been able to determine when a replacement unit would be available and she suggested that I call back in a week to see if they would have more information at that time. (Seriously?)

On July 16th I place another call at 12:20pm (CST), which lasts 30 minutes. Again I am told the unit is out of stock and they have no further information on when they will be receiving more. I elect to continue waiting rather than accepting an inferior product for replacement.

August 6th I place a call at 10am (CST) that lasts only 12 minutes! (Hooray) The rep seems very knowledgeable and professional. She informs me that the Toaster Oven I have been waiting for has been discontinued and again she offers to replace it with the lesser quality unit...and again I refuse. I state that since you are unable to replace my unit with a like or better quality unit I would like a refund of my purchase price. She confirms she can do that and asks that I send her a copy of my purchase receipt (which they already have...but I send again via fax as requested).

At this point I think it's done and figure I can expect a refund check within 3-4 weeks...and Delonghi will soon be out of my life forever....but sadly the story doesn't end here.

On August 29th I realize I have not received the refund check nor any further communication, so I log yet another call at 12:33pm (CST) that lasts 19 minutes. This time I am told that the service department is no longer able to issue refund checks and that my only option is to accept a lesser quality replacement unit. I tell the service rep this is unacceptable and again I speak to the same (useless) service manager. After getting nowhere with her, and realizing the service department has no authority whatsoever, I ask to speak to someone from the corporate office. I'm told she is not allowed to give out that phone number (if that doesn't tell you something about the company I'm dealing with I don't know what does), but she will have someone call me...and then she adds "next week". I remind her that it's Thursday and I would like a call back today or tomorrow, as that should be plenty of time for her to relay the message and for someone from corporate to call me back...especially after everything I've been through. Today is Wednesday, September 4th and I have yet to receive a call from Delonghi Corporate to resolve this issue once and for all...so to you I say BUYER BEWARE!

As a side note, we replaced the DEFECTIVE Delonghi Toaster Oven with a Breville BOV800XL Toaster Oven and it is hands down a far better product!

Had a Delonghi for 10 years that recently broke. Bought this one as a replacement. 1. my first issue is that the toaster "feet" do not extend the entire width-front to rearof toaster and toaster "tips" spilling contents and creating severe burn hazard. 2. Toaster rack also "tips" because flanges do not extend fully backward into toaster interior. This also creates a severe burn hazard. 3. Toaster handle grip is poorly designed and very very hot. This results in poor grip on handle/door and is yet again a burn hazard. 4. External material of this toaster gets very very hot resulting in possible fire hazard. This toaster should be recalled and refunds issued.It is a painful burn and lawsuit just waiting to happen.

I have looked at reviews over reviews before I purchased this cookware set. I am happy with the purchase for $109. It is attractive and is truly non stick. However, from where I stand, it is not really designed for rough handling and very frequent, prolong cooking at very high temperatures. This will erode the nonstick coating inside and strip the outer color. For instance, I do not use it to fry chicken, I use a calphalon pot but will steam fish or vegetables with it. One must be mindful of different times of cookware for different functions. I opined, it is more suited for young professionals, students etc, not for very very regular use. I do not place it in the dishwahser, as it is easily washable. After a while, I have noticed little black buildup on the bottom and sides which is proving a little challenging to remove without damaging the color.

Nothing technical here, but this is the best grill pan I've ever used. I am an active home cook and have used several different grill pans. Hands down, this one is the best. Great grill marks, good heat distribution and amazingly lightweight. Clean-up is a breeze. The lid is a bonus, since most grill pans don't come with lids!

I would surely buy another analon advanced pan in the future should the need exist!

I use my non-stick 10" skillet everyday but found I was coming up short with the number of pierogis I could cook at a time. I have also learned not to invest megabucks in non-stick cookware. I settled on this pan after reading reviews in Cook's Illustrated and have been very pleased. It's become a staple in making and serving spaghetti sauce, egg dishes, and yes, pierogis. It is giving my 10" a run for the money. The light weight, the glass lid, the easy-clean surface just make for a great all round pan. One word of caution, it is not at all deep sided. Think of it as a big omlette pan. UPDATE: After using this pan for about 2 years now, I have downgraded it from 5 stars to 4 simply because I realize that I find the side handles not so user-friendly. They are a little small to grab hold of when you are trying to transfer contents of the pan to a bowl or whatever, and if your hand goes from the cushioned part to the metal part, it's hot. It's still a great looking pan, and the non-stick surface is holding up well. But I find that I will often choose to use other pans because of the handles.

I am very happy with this new skillet. I especially love the two silicone handles on the sides which do not get hot. That makes draining, etc. much easier than with the one-handled skillet I had been using. Also, the nonstick Calphalon is just great for clean-up and I also like the see-through glass lid which allows you to see what you are cooking, check progress, etc. For the money, I think this skillet offers great value and convenience. I would highly recommend it.

I already had a Calphalon 12" Everyday stainless steel pan that I loved, but I also wanted a non-stick one as well. I wanted to use the non-stick to brown meats on the stove top then transfer to the stainless steel one inside a pre-heated oven because it can withstand higher temperatures. I purchased the Cuisinart Chef's Classic 12" pan which I liked except it wasn't as deep as my Calphalon Everyday pan. While stirring food in the pan, some of it would occasionally fall out because the sloped sides were not quite high enough. The Amazon spec said it was 2.8" deep so I looked for something about 1" larger. This Simply Calphalon Nonstick 12" pan description said it was 3.9" deep, so I purchased it. Immediately after opening it, I could see it was barely 2" deep. If you put the lid on it, then maybe it was 3.9", but that is not the way a potential buyer would consider it. As a result, I will be returning this pan and maybe buying one in "gasp" an actual store where I can see what I'm actually purchasing. I've bought a lot of items through Amazon and usually it's been a good experience. There was another time I was sent something that was not as described, but I had no issues returning it, so I'm hoping it will be true again. If a 2" depth is not an issue for you, I would say this would be a good purchase for the price. I like how easy it is to clean the non-stick version and it browns meat as well as my stainless steel one. By the way it's not that difficult to clean a stainless steel pan, so don't let that stop you from considering that as well. Just keep a can of Bartender's Friend near by. That stuff is amazing.

In my quest to become a better cook, of healthier food, I have recently purchased some higher end pans. One thing leads to another, and an experiment with the recommended Simply Calphalon 10 inch fry-pan led me to the 12 inch Everyday pan. These two pans constitute my everyday cooking "wardrobe". I could not praise Simply Calphalon enough. The pans are beefy without being too heavy. They heat evenly and consistently. Foods, given a minimum of appropriate oils, do not stick, therefore both turning and clean-up are as easy as could be hoped for. The Everyday pan has the advantage of having no long handle, convenient for me as my cooktop fits 5 burners into a 30 inch space. Both pans transition to the oven with no damage to food or pan. Unfortunately for me, a number of expensive stainless pans are sitting in storage, while these reasonably priced pans are used constantly..

Seriously, these are the best LARGE non-stick pans. The red dot lets you know when it is hot enough to cook. Remember, overheating makes any non-stick pan lose the non-stick quality, use the dot! The extra handle is needed because these are family size, but with it they are easy to lift. I just bought three more, the one I found in my local store three years ago finally got overheated (my wife) cooking sausages. Why three? I am afraid they will stop making them in a couple of years when I ruin the next one.

A decent nonstick pan. Been using it for about 5 months and have a couple of tiny marks where the coating flaked off after I way over-heated the pans, other than that it has worked great.

The size of the pan is absolutely awesome for stir fry and/or cooking large quantities. 13.5" gives you roughly double the square area as 10-inch pan (143 square inches vs. 78). The pan and handles have are also solid and have been very durable.

This board is great for carving your meats, but is also a beautiful presentation piece. I use it every time I have a party or family visiting. The wood is beautiful and so durable. Just hand wash, dry immediately and use a little mineral oil to keep the board looking it's best.

The glove I received is around 16" long, not 13". It is way too big for my hand, and I have a hard time grasping anything with it.

As the previous reviewer pointed out, the tag says it can handle 450 degrees, not 650, but that doesn't seem to be a problem.

Unless you're a man with large hands, I recommend Lodge's Max Temp Handle mitt instead.

I'm generally pleased with this item, but am disappointed that it is NOT rated for 650 degrees as the Amazon description states. Rather, the tag states that it is only rated for 450 degrees. So, just take this into account before you buy.

I ordered this product, but am returning it.

The description here is wrong the mitt is about 16" long, not 13" cut straight across.

Which means it goes a long way up your arm not just covering your hand and wrist.

Which means you can't put it on if you are wearing a sweater or sweatshirt because the opening is fairly narrow.

Basically, this is for people who are only wearing shirtsleeves/shortsleeves who are reaching deeply into really hot ovens or over large cooking grills.

On the other hand, the mitt quality appears very high. If it were shorter, I'd keep it, but since I can't put it on because I live in New England and wear a sweater in the winter, I am returning it.

I bought a pair of these to use with my smoker and am very happy with them. I have seen complaints about the length of them (about 15") but that is what I want for getting a pork butt out of the smoker. I also like the fact that you can use them on either hand as the heatproof material is on both sides. They are thick and you don't have a rally good feel for what you're picking up but with one on each hand it is NO problem! I have never felt my hand getting warm at all when removing something from the oven or smoker. I would highly recommend these mitts!!

Great construction, solid materials, good padding, nice length, but narrower at the mouth than I was expecting. I might have to make a 2 inch cut at the inside seam to allow my hands to get right in, not that I'm Popeye or anything. Other than that though, very nice mitts.

As with all Le Creuset products, this is very attractive and made of high quality materials. I have two, and use them for hot appetizers/dips placed on either end of a large banquet table. It's also an elegant way, if not the most convenient, to warm up leftovers. I gave it four stars because the size limits its utility; if you know you want smaller casseroles, these are a good choice.

Love these little individual casserole dishes. I use mine for everything from individual potato's gratin to french onion soup or even salsa, guacamole or other dips. Really festive colors, but be careful, the little side handles are extremely easy to break.

I love using these 12-ounce petite oval casseroles because they are durble, wash up easily, and make for a beautiful presentation. This combination of attributes is what really makes them valuable because I can use them everyday without worrying that they will chip and break. I typically wash them by hand or in the top rack of the dishwasher and have not had any issues with fading or chipping.

I tend to use them a lot of serving soups and invidual portions of casseroles like baked macaroni and cheese or individual pot pies. They make my presentation a little more special and always earn me comments from my guests.

The one thing worth noting is that these are stoneware, not enameled cast iron. I realize this is stated clearly in the title but still worth repeating since the brand is known more for their cast iron products like dutch ovens and I would hate for someone to order this expecting cast iron and get stoneware instead. That said, they still do a pretty good job of retaining heat, but not nearly as well as the cast iron.

Overall these are fantastic and after owning them for over a year I have no complaints. I highly recommend them.

I dropped the lid just right over the bowl, and I do mean right above it.. and the entire handle broke off from the bowl.. I love their other items, but this is a bit too fragile, especially for the price!

I've collected a few Le Creuset pans in various sizes and colors.

The 2 quart french oven that I've had for years is used the most and I wanted another pan that was larger but not as large as my soup pot.

This one filled the bill perfectly. It has a flat bottom making it easier to use for roasting or browning than my soup pot. The sides are high enough to use it for stews, soups, rice or frying and I really like the Linen color.

The handles on this pot are larger than my older french oven so it's easier to get a good grip.

All in all, it's a very versatile size and shape. I expect to depend on it for many years.

My most used pot in the kitchen is the 5 1/2 quart Dutch Oven but sometimes it's too big, especially as I'm cooking for one these days. I always make my soups and pot roasts in the Dutch Oven and there is nothing better than Le Creuset. In case you are wondering, yes, it matters who makes it. We tried some off brands years ago and the enamel was cracking within weeks of use. I've had the same Le Creuset pans for years and they are still absolutely fine. The new pots have bigger stirrup handles so you can get a good grip, especially if you use silicone mitts.

This size is good for a stew, a smaller batch of soup, roasting small birds, or making a vegetable casserole or stew. I have the Cherry Red color which is bright and cheerful, but the newer colors are really stunning--especially the blue colors. (Back when I started buying Le Creuset, the colors were more limited.)

Over time, the inside enamel can get stained; it may discolor on the bottom over time but resist using anything that scratches as you can danage the finish. The enamel allows for quick clean up. If you burn the bottom by accident, one trick is to boil some water in the bottom with a good handful of baking soda. It lifts up the burnt material and you can then wipe it away. On that subject, you don't put these on the highest heat on your stove. The enamel doesn't like it, the cast iron conducts enough heat so you don't need to do that and this prevents burning the bottom.

A good starter set is the 5 1/2 quart and this 3 1/2 quart Dutch Ovens. I use these most often; other pieces like a grill pan or sauce pan I don't use very often at all, so if you are budgeting to buy good cookware, that's where I'd start. You won't need to replace these for years. "Buy once, use always." If you know someone getting married, this is a great wedding present.

After drooling over this new color for months..I found it at a great price on Amazon. It is my fourth Le Creuset..(have since sold the soup pot on ebay as it was to small for me).This pot is a perfect size for a nice dinner for two or three or maybe four..can do a small roast,chops or whatever. I LOVE the shape,flat bottom, straight sides..makes it much easier to cook over my old soup pot. easy to use and clean..makes anything you cook in it come out wonderful..a must for any good cook..if this size is to small you can step up a bit to the 4 1/2 quart..which i may have to add anyway...overall its a must buy and LOVE the color!!!

I own the Le Creuset Wide Dutch Oven in two sizes -the 6-3/4 qt and the 3-1/2 qt featured here. Although I really love the larger pot for creating large batches of soup in the winter, I have to say I am surprised by how much I grab this small dutch oven on a weekly basis. It's small size means that it's lightweight, comparatively speaking making it easy to heft in & out of the sink for a quick cleanup, which is ridiculously easy, by the way. A quick swipe with some hot water and a little dish soap, and it looks brand new. The shape is conducive to braising, sautéing just about anything, really. Great for spaghetti sauce. I've brought it to the table as casserole dish for 4-6 servings. The fact that it's cast iron means it retains heat and the food stays warmer longer out of the oven. Add to this that it's beautiful, and you have a perfect pot! Considering the price of most Le Creuset pieces, this one's a steal at $149. I may need another color.
