Just bought this a few days ago after reading and looking extensively. Used initially for only espresso and so far, so good. Next weekend it will get it's chance to show what it can do with french press. The fine setting yields consistently fine grounds. The reservoir for beans and ground coffee are both generous and hold enough to keep you 'jumpy' for quite a while. The smallest yield is 2 cups but that's too much for one espresso. It would be nice to yield just enough for one double espresso shot but that's a minor quibble. The machine does not vibrate or spray coffee grounds and you don't have to hold anything down while in operation. It's much quieter than the Krups blade grinder I've used for years and quieter than most others I've seen even much higher priced items. I also have the DeLonghi espresso machine so visually they make a nice pair.

I've been using this grinder for a few weeks for my daily espresso. It's reasonably priced and works well, very easy to use. To make less than the minimum 2 cup setting, just hit the stop/start button. It usually takes about eight seconds to grind the perfect amount for a double-shot in my espresso maker.

This grinder has the usual problem with plastic grinders. It builds up static electricity and the coffee both sticks to the grind holder and will also fly all over you and the counter. The square holder makes it unusually difficult to extract the coffee.

The range of fine to course doesn't generate course enough coffee for a French press. Be careful to follow the instructions for pre-cleaning and putting back the components. It needed a clean prior to use.

Honest reviews on DeLonghi KG79 Electric 12-Cup Burr Grinder, Black

Great Coffee Grinder! Works great, the only thing is it creates a little static in the plastic coffee grounds box. Not bad just tap it a little and most all of it falls off the sides. My coffee taste so fresh now and smooth. For a normal coffee maker I set it at one click to the right of medium. This seems to be perfect. The timer you just have experiment with. It sits still when it's grinding. All I can say is this is a great grinder. I also have their espresso maker and work perfect also. DeLonghi Great Company!

Overall my wife and I have been rather pleased with this grinder. While other reviewers encountered too coarse a grind, we had the opposite problem couldn't adjust it coarse enough! If you're at all handy, though, this can easily be remedied, by following the instructions at and removing the little tab that stops the adjuster (this will, of course, void the warranty, but hey, you want a perfect cup of coffee, right?). Once I could rotate the adjuster past the "coarse" setting, we were able to achieve a perfect grind.

Reviews of Nordic Ware Microwave Vegetable and Seafood Steamer 11 Inch by 8.6

Nordic Ware Microwave Vegetable and Seafood Steamer 11 Inch by 8.6 Inch
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

I try to do things with as little effort as possible, so I got tired of cleaning small food particles from the folding, metal steamers that are made for use in a pan on the stove top. I steam small frozen vegetables (corn, peas, carrot cubes, etc.) quite often. I started looking for a way to steam frozen vegetables with easier clean-up, and came to believe that the available microwave steamers would be a better way to go. (I have found that microwave steaming also leads to better flavors than stove-top steaming.)

Recently I bought both the Nordic Ware microwave steamer (Nordic Ware Microwave Vegetable and Seafood Steamer 11 Inch by 8.6 Inch) and the Progressive International microwave steamer (Progressive International Microwavable Fish & Veggie Steamer). I've used the Progressive steamer maybe 5 times, and I've been quite happy with it: it is easy to steam small vegetables and clean-up is easy. It could be a little sturdier, but it is OK. Tonight, I used the Nordic Ware steamer for the first time, and I found steaming small vegetables to be more difficult, primarily because there is no lip around the edges of the steaming tray, which allows small vegetables to easily spill off of the tray. They spill off of the tray as I'm loading it with vegetables, and spill-off of the tray as I'm transferring the vegetables from the tray to a serving dish. Clean-up is still pretty easy, though not quite as easy as with the Progressive steamer.

The base of the Nordic Ware steamer seems a little sturdier than that of the Progressive Steamer, but the Nordic Ware's lid is somewhat flimsy. I suspect that the Progressive steamer will last longer than the Nordic Ware steamer. (I hand wash my vegetable steamers; both steamers may be OK for use in the top rack of a dishwasher.)

For steaming large vegetables and/or fish, which I don't do, the Nordic Ware steamer might be better because steam might circulate better around the edges of the tray when a bunch of the holes are covered, although I have little certainty about this.

Most reviewers of this item are talking about the benefits of steaming which i agree is great but this steamer is not good. After the tupperware steamer I had for years got damaged in the dishwasher I bought this hoping it will last atleast half as long. Only after a few weeks of using it the steamer looks dull and dingy. The transparent lid is turning yellow. The plate provided to keep the vegetables inside the steamer looks slightly twisted and dull. All this after good care during washing and also I used it only a few times for light steaming less than 5 minutes. I am ready to throw it and buy a tupperware steamer again. By the way the tupperware steamer lasted for nearly 4 years for me and would have lasted more if it did not fall off the top of the dishwasher rack and got burnt by a coil in the bottom of the dishwasher.Do not buy this item the quality is very bad.

I've heard that steaming vegetables is much better for you than cooking them otherwise. This does a great job at it. It makes vegetables taste great, and works well. Easy to clean.

I bought this steamer for my daughter and when she used it the first time, it worked great, but afterwards she noticed a large crack going all the way across the bottom of it and she had to throw it away.

Update 12-27-09..I bought one for my son also and while he was visiting on Christmas day I asked him how he liked his steamer and he said that his was cracked also and wasn't able to use it. I'm so disappointed that these were poor quality and my kids didn't get to use them.

This sauteuse is pleasing to the eye and more importantly a pleasure to use. Much, much lighter than my other (Lodge) cast iron pots and pans. Bamboo handle is easy to hold and is "stay cool". Pan is easy to clean and and conducts heat evenly. I also have the 8" skillet and the 12" skillet.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program They cook evenly. Pretty sturdily made with with rivets and they are lightweight without being flimsy. Easy to clean. Bottom of pans did not distort when heated. The padded handles for the lids and the pots are a sort of rubber or silicone which make for easy gripping and are cool to the touch (especially for the lids unlike metal handles). The colors are fun. The color is a an orange gradient that mutes the brightness of the orange color.

Why not a five star rating? I would like to see the layer of non-stick material to be thicker for more durability, but note that the pots and pans do come with a lifetime guarantee.

Good value for the money.

Also, note that these pots are not recommended for glass top stoves (per manual) as the ceramic bottom of the cookware could melt to the glass top.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program An attractive cookware set that covers the basics. The well-made pans offer a good cooking foundation, but are a little too lightweight.

I've been cooking elaborately for years and have used a wide variety of kitchen gear. Like most seasoned cooks, I have my favorite pans and pan-types, and habits in how I use them. I was pleased to see several of my "usual" sizes included in this set, including the 3qt saute pan, the 6qt dutch-oven style stockpot, and the 10" skillet. The 2qt saucepan is adequate, though I usually prefer a 2.5qt. The sides of the saute pan are high enough to stir a thick pasta sauce, the stockpot has a wide enough base to allow meat to brown.

The one omission is a heavy-bottomed 12" skillet, something I use regularly for frying and searing.

Less useful is the 1qt saucepan-there's not much I'd make in a 1qt that wouldn't be fine in the 2qt, and the 8.5" skillet is too small to be useful-it's fine if you want to fry an egg, or saute garlic (or a single shallot) separately, but I prefer to do that in the larger pan with the rest of the ingredients, the better to meld the flavors (and to have fewer dishes to wash). Most things that you would sear, toast, or saute will benefit from being in contact with the pan's cooking surface, making a small surface area less useful. But four (out of 6) useful pans is a much better ratio than most sets.

Caveats: Unlike my Calphalon pans, the handles on these are only rated oven-safe to 350F (rather than a more useful 450-500F ceiling). After 3 months use on a glass-top electric range, the 10" skillet (the piece I've been using most) has dark mars on the bottom (bad if you hang/display your pans).

The largest caveat is that these pans are entry-level thin. They do heat up quickly, but the thinness makes them bad for cooking dishes where the pan temperature needs to stay low-but-even, or where you're going to be adding cold items to the hot pan (eg, searing-these are far too thin to retain heat when you plop down a New York Strip).

For the beginner cook who doesn't have their own preferences or existing collection, this is a nice set to get them started, and it look nice too-a good choice for a gift. This 10-piece set is a bit expensive (versus other entry-level sets) and has a couple of "filler" pieces, but is a well-rounded package. Recommended with caveats.

UPDATE NOV 2012: These pans continue to hold up surprisingly well after a year of solid usage, and I've grown increasingly fond of them, so increasing my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. The outer surfaces have gotten discolored/stained from such regular usage but the interiors remain flawless, and I find I reach for these pans more often than some of my heavier old-school pans.

Best Deals for Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick Cookware Set, 10-Piece

I have had this set for almost a year. We use them every day. They look beautiful hanging in my kitchen and they just make cooking a little more fun. They have held up perfectly. I have a glass top stove so I was a little concerned when I read in the manual that they arent ideal for that type of stove, but I have never had an issue.

They are light in weight, but not in durability. They clean up easily and beautifully. I have used an SOS pad on the outside and it doesnt scratch. I have also found them in the dishwasher when my children have to clean the kitchen and they have remained scratch free. They actually look almost as good as the day I bought them! I am now ordering sets for my friends for Christmas!

Honest reviews on Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick Cookware Set, 10-Piece

I used some points from my credit card company to purchase this cookware set but wasn't completely sold on the orange color. A year later I am so glad that I didn't let the color keep me from getting this set. The one downside is that they are not dishwasher safe. On the other hand the nonstick works so well that it is effortless to wash these by hand. I have made sure to use utensils that won't scrach the coating, but these work great for everyday use. In the very distant future if I have to replace this set, I will definately buy again.

I received this set in green for Christmas this past year from my husband. I have some other RR products and I really liked them so he thought he was picking a good gift for me, however he didn't know they would leak! The pans leak where they are riveted together at the handle. Every time I make something in them it leaks out. It also happens when I wash them. (I know you can put them in the dishwasher, but I never put pots and pans in the dishwasher!)I was really disappointed in the quality of the item. I would have returned them, but before I used them I through the box and all the invoices away. I guess I learned to keep all receipts!

Really bad customer service!

"Hi, I purchased my swiss diamond wok from Amazon.com in Aug 2011. Only used for several months, the wok started to stick, scratched, even peels. Even the ads saying I can use metal spatula, I ONLY used plastic ones as I really want to to take good care of the wok. However, with great disappointment, it doesn't seems to last as it has been promoted. I paid for the wok with premium price ($160) and now I would like to demand either a refund or a replacement. Please advice."

3 Responses from Swiss Diamond....."#1. Not under warranty. Overheating. #2. Per Switzerland your pan is not covered under our warranty due to overheating. #3. Please see attached use and care instructions that come with all pans. You can see that it talks about using medium to low heat on our pans".

I wonder who would use a wok with low to medium heat?

My recommendation: buy a cheap one from Chinatown & it does the job.

World Cuisine 14.12-Inch x 2.5-Inch Black Steel Paella Pan Reviews

World Cuisine 14.12-Inch x 2.5-Inch Black Steel Paella Pan
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

It is what it says it is, a very solidly built pan, nicely deep, which I happen to prefer over the shallow paella pans. I seasoned it by wiping the interior with canola oil and putting it on the fire, moving it around so that all areas got very hot and darkened nearly to black with repeated applications. You can't rush this. It just takes several application and heat treatments of just enough oil to coat the surface. Upon cooking my first batch of paella in it, I got the expected and desirable crust on the bottom, but some hot water and just a dish cloth cleaned it up fine. It heavy enough steel that the heat is pretty well distributed. I'm very happy and looking forward to the better method of cooking paella on the grill. I did have some areas where the seasoning looked to have been substantially removed after the first washing, but a couple of rounds of oil treatment filled them in.

We have used this pan often since Christmas. In fact it has become one of my favorite pans. You do have to put a small amount of oil on the inside so that it won't rust. It is functional and looks good too.

Best Deals for World Cuisine 14.12-Inch x 2.5-Inch Black Steel Paella Pan

I am not a certified paella master but I know my way around a kitchen, and this sure seems like a pretty decent pan, especially for the money. It has higher sides than some paella pans but this is a good thing, no spills or boil-overs when you first pour the broth in. Like any steel or iron pan it takes some curing with oil to make it non-stick, but with some time and patience it will happen. I would never want Teflon on a paella pan, given the temperature you need to get the "paella crust" (at high temperatures Teflon and other nonstick coatings can release toxic compounds). I find that this size pan makes a paella for about six normal adults, or four ravenous ones.

Honest reviews on World Cuisine 14.12-Inch x 2.5-Inch Black Steel Paella Pan

I've only used this once so far but it produced a really good paella with a crunchy bottom, exactly what I was trying for. To be honest, the seasoning of the pan took longer than the actual paella, but once done worked perfectly. It's just exactly what I wanted. Love the handles. If you love kitchenware as I do, you won't be disappointed in this pan.

Perfect size for up to 6 or so people. The rice cooked perfect. I've even used it on the grill for a different taste. The seasoning of the pan is very straightforward. Highly recommended.

I purchased this Ovente KS93 electric kettle in December 2011. It is attractive, sturdy and does the job quite loud, though. However, the product began failing after less than 90 days of use. The "ON" toggle switch will not stay down, so the kettle will not heat unless you place something on top of the switch to keep it in the on position. So much for convenience, and certainly not safe.

Save your money and buy a better quality kettle.

Yes it is beautiful, but it only lasted for 2 rounds after which the on/off switch did not work anymore. I am on my way to UPS to return it. Pity about that, it is a very sleek little kettle!

I have had this kettle for a few weeks now and am very happy with the performance. The tab to turn the kettle on is easy, the pour spout works much nicer than my other kettle, and I like being able to see the water level. It has a nice large capacity as well. So far so good! The only thing is that there is some plastic in contact with the boiling water.

Honest reviews on Ovente Cord-Free Stainless Steel Electric Kettle , 1.7L

I saw the other reviews about the bad switch but also saw all the other positive reviews and thought I would give it a try. The kettle looks, good but the switch did not work from the very first try. Now I have to try and get my money back from an Amazon re-seller. Advoid this product.

I read all the reviews. I saw the number that talked about on switch failure. I banked on getting a good one that would not fail. Unfortunately the kettle lasted less than 6 months before it would not stay on without holding the switch down. I used it maybe once a week. Pretty expensive Kettle for so little use. Don't waste your money like I did.

I had to make cupcakes the minute I got this as a wedding gift thank you Amazon wedding registry!

I walked into a BBQ with it and people were in awe and couldn't wait to dig into the cupcakes. It was a very hot day, so I took the bottom layer and filled it with water and put it in the freezer by the time I was ready to go, I put the ice cube layer on the bottom and the top two tiers with my 24 cupcakes and the cupcakes stayed fresh and did not melt at the BBQ!!

The only "warning" I have is to make sure you have the base the right way up don't spend an hour thinking your cc carrier is broken, just flip the base the right way up (ha ha yes I am an idiot!!)

I don't make cupcakes a lot, but I saw this and wanted it immediately. I'll even make cupcakes to justify the purchase.

I had to take a bunch of cupcakes to school and was able to use this. The courier itself is big and bulky. If you have limited space you may want something different.

The cupcake holder is deep, I find it is a bit too deep if your cupcakes don't rise a lot and you have frosting all over it -you'll get a bit of frosting on your hands trying to get it out of the holder.

The holder is also pretty heavy for me so if you have to travel via walking, it may be too heavy and I found the handle not that comfortable. Short trips should be fine.

Overall, I really like this carrier and it received a ton of compliments from people. The removable trays are great for people like me who don't make a lot of cupcakes, but is great to carry cookies, cakes, pies, brownies, etc...Tall cakes are also possible due to the height. I would recommend this product for those who have the space and have to bring baked goods to different places.

Best Deals for Cupcake Courier 36-Cupcake Plastic Storage Container

This is a great cupcake carrier with good room for standard sized cupcakes even with lots of frosting or some decorations. I had read a previous review with concerns over losing the clips that hold it together but they seem to have changed that as my clips don't come off, they are attatched. It is very secure and I wasn't worried about dropping them or anything. Very pleased with this product!

Honest reviews on Cupcake Courier 36-Cupcake Plastic Storage Container

I bought this over a year ago at Bed Bath & Beyond. It is the greatest carrier. The cupcake cavities are deep so the cupcakes do not move around when you move about. The tiers are nicely spaced so decorated cupcakes do not touch the bottom of the tier above it. The tiers can be removed and a regular tired cake can be placed inside and covered. The only fault I can find is with the clips that keep the cover down. Once attached, they perform well, but they can be removed and lost quite easily.

The cupcake courier is so wonderful! Very functionable, sturdy, and cute! I love that you can remove the trays and are able to

use it for a full size cake carrier too! This product is of good quality and the latches are very secure so you don't have to worry

about it flying open and everything getting damaged. I highly recommend this product particularly for moms who provide cupcakes to a lot of school functions, it's a dream!!

I wrote the Swiss Diamond company and asked for an explanation of what the nano-composite material was made of.

After a week or so, I received a polite reply from Allan Wolk, an employee in the U.S. His email informed me that, "Our patented nonstick surface uses a nano-composite of real diamond crystals and PTFE; it is applied using a computer controlled plasma gun at very high temperatures."

Naturally, my attention was immediately drawn to the PTFE. The acronym sounded familiar. What was PTFE?

A quick search of Wikipedia provided the answer: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PTFE)

As Wikipedia explains:

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a fluoropolymer discovered by Roy J. Plunkett (1910-1994) of DuPont in 1938. It was introduced as a commercial product in 1946 and is generally known to the public by DuPont's brand name Teflon®.

Huh? Teflon? Wait a minute. Didn't the Swiss Diamond website just claim that the product contained no Teflon?

If you look back at the Swiss Diamond website screen capture, the careful wording of their answer now becomes clear. It states, "The Swiss Diamond coating does not contain any Teflon taking into consideration that "Teflon" is a trade mark, made and owned by DUPONT."

So the pans don't contain Teflon, they just contain the chemical called Teflon. It's like saying a nuclear warhead doesn't contain any plutonium, it only contains nuclear fissionable material.

For the manufacturer to insist the Swiss Diamond pans contain no Teflon whatsoever when it is made primarily from polytetrafluoroethylene, the chemical widely known as Teflon, is extremely deceptive. In fact, the intent of the Swiss Diamond company seems to be to deceive consumers by omission of the facts. The FAQ document on the Swiss Diamond website, for example, does not bother to say something like, "But our pans do contain PTFE, the chemical known as Teflon." It simply insists they contain no Teflon and moves on to the next question.

It seems that Swiss Diamond goes out of its way to give the impression that this product is free of Teflon chemicals and is surfaced primarily with diamonds. That's the impression I got, anyway, and I read the promotional materials several times before purchasing the pan.

Consumers have been hoodwinked yet again.

I decided to try Swiss Diamond, and started with a covered 10" skillet. It convinced me to get more-I can reheat meat cooked on the grill and it tastes as good as the first time! Considered ordering the 10-piece set, but wasn't sure I wanted all those pieces, so have started accumulating a custom set for my cooking needs. This small set was a good price and the sizes will work well for everyday cooking for 2-3 people. Ordered some larger pieces for when the family comes home.

I never imagined I would end up spending close to $200 on a skillet and a little saucepan. However, after purchasing another grocery store (read economical, i.e. cheap) non-stick pan for what felt like the umpteenth time, I figured at this point I had already spent more than $100 over the years.

Great decision; on occasion we should congratulate ourselves on our choices!

While I'm not a phenomenal cook or someone who loves to cook, I do enjoy doing so once in a while. And cooking with such quality products are a joy. They have a great heft (feel as if they could be passed down to the grand-kids) and clean up phenomenally well.

These are top rated brand of cookware on Consumer Reports and its clear why!

I'll keep this short and sweet; this is Lodge Logic's 3-qt. chicken fryer, without the lid. (Amazon says the chicken fryer is 4" deep, but Lodge's web site confirms both are 3" deep).

So... if you already have a 10" lid, don't need another one and want this style pot, this is a good value.

It has all the great traits you expect of Lodge Logic excellent, even heat transmission, natural non-stick seasoning, and complete invulnerability to anything your burners can dish out. The size is very handy for things like chili for one or two, where the additional depth is welcome but a Dutch oven would be overkill, and the 10" skillet/chicken fryer/Dutch oven lid fits this pot. I'm very pleased with this deep skillet and already had a lid.

So... if you have a Lodge lid and/or have a 5-qt Dutch oven in the same order, go for this pan! If you want to get a lid with it, get the Lodge Logic chicken fryer; it's much cheaper than buying the deep skillet and lid separately.

This is a great pan. I have several frying pans, and am saving up for a certain style Dutch oven and double-burner griddle. Cast iron, like anything, has its pros and cons. It is heavy, making it hard to lift and carry; but it also doesn't move if you bump the handle or are using both hands to hold another vessel that you're pouring from into the pan. It comes preseasoned, eliminating that step that should be repeated several times on a non-preseasoned pan prior to use. Things DON'T stick to this pan, as is always the misconception, precisely because of the preseasoning. It imparts a small amount of iron into the food, which is good, as most people are deficient in iron. Cleanup is a bit tedious (no soap or detergent, hot water with a stiff brush, no dishwasher, dry immediately); a small amount of extra time for the care and upkeep, but time well spent in the scheme of things. If it were to rust for whatever reason (you found grandma's pan in the leaky basement; she put it in storage twenty years ago when she moved and forgot about it), it is easily scoured, seasoned, and ready to go. Rarely, except under extreme circumstances, would you ever have to replace a cast-iron pan.

I started making the switch to cast iron about six months ago. My husband cooks, I don't; he didn't want cast iron, I did. The deal that we had before the cast iron continued--he cooks, I clean. He has no complaints (other than the weight, from time to time), and that he sometimes forgets to put the insulated handle on before grabbing the handle of the pan. But that's "operator error", nothing to do with the pan itself. I switched to cast iron because of the toxicity of nonstick coatings, such as Teflon. Cast iron is better for your health, it will last generations with proper care, it does not offgas toxic fumes, and it does not flake like nonstick coatings which, it is recommended, have to be discarded.

My 11-year-old has taken a great interest in cooking and watches cooking shows a lot, namely on the Food Network. He is very aware of tools used and techniques employed, and noted that many of the chefs and cooks use cast iron, and the ease and sometimes importance of being able to leave the food in the pan but transferring the pan from the stove to the oven. Only with cast iron can you do this safely.

Self-basting lids (when lids are used) help to evenly distribute "condensation", keeping the food uniformly moist. I researched pans vs. Dutch ovens, skillets vs. frying pans, handle vs. tab, and am very happy with all my purchases. If you are thinking about purchasing cast iron, of course consider your needs, but also look carefully at product descriptions as to size of pan (diameter and depth), and try different search terms as this will sometimes yield different results. The terms 'skillet', 'frying pan', 'deep fryer', and 'chicken fryer' will give you a bigger variety of similar pans from which to choose. I would also recommend paying a little more for an American-made product (I prefer Lodge; it has a long history to look at); they are heavier (better quality, more evenly distribute the heat); and American products from a reputable company will more than likely follow governmental guidelines for safety. What you're cooking in the pan will go in your body; be cognizant about what can leach from the pan into the food.

EXACTLY what I wanted and needed. You can't beat Lodge cast iron for the most even and best cooking. The 4" side is between a skillet and my Dutch oven and has already become my most used cooking tool.

I have used cast iron for years and love it. I decided to get this deep skillet because I have made a mess quite a few times while frying in my regular skillet and thought this would be a good idea for me. I do like having the extra depth, but wasn't quite prepared for the extra weight that this couple of inches of depth adds. It is a good thing that they added a "helper handle" opposite the regular handle, or I wouldn't be able to lift it while it is filled. I have also baked bread in this pan and it turned out beautifully. My Dutch oven lid fits this pan, but if I had known that the 3 qt. chicken fryer was the same size as this pan and included the lid, I would have purchase that item since there was only a few dollars difference in the price.

I bought this pan about a year ago, and I use it every single day. It's a great for pan roasted potatoes, and sauteed vegetables and greens. Stir-fried vegetables are easy to make with this pan. So are fried rice dishes. I also use it to make large omelettes. The lid that comes with the 5 quart dutch oven fits this pan.

It's easy to clean. I've used cast iron pans for over twenty five years. I do scrub it with a little soap once in a while to remove the rancid fat odor. However, I wipe it dry, oil it, and heat it on the stove on low heat for 5 minutes or so after that. With a little maintenance, these pans will last forever and are a must in every kitchen. It's so easy to eliminate nonstick pans if you use cast iron ones.

I purchased this set when moving into a new apartment. I cook perhaps twice a week for 4 people and this set has held up to typical use and abuse from 4 guys. My girlfriend is jealous because she spent double on some other set but likes these better.

Pros-

-Price

-Build

-Versatility(I was able to make 4 stuffed peppers in the big pot)

-The coating makes everything come off even after being refrigerated for a few days.

Cons-

-The grooved bottoms trap soap sometimes which proceeds to burn.

-The larger two-handled pots are hard to drain water from without using a colander.

-The utensils gather/show soap residue.

This set is exatly as advertised. The utensils are made of a surprisingly sturdy plastic. The pans have groovs on the bottom so that they dont slide, which is great. Overall Great Set!!! No negatives so far.

One thing that's not mentioned in the description is that the bottoms of them have a rounded grooved surface so they won't slide around on the burners (a zoom view of this would be nice to see with the other images). Everything else in the description is spot on.

We've used them all since we got them and are very pleased with the whole set. The utensils have been very nice, also.

They clean up very easily with the sponge-wand I use....my wife's broken me of using "scratchers", which is what did in the last set we had.

We are very pleased with the quality of the whole set and would recommend it to anyone.

I would never have expected them to be this good for the price. You can tell by the weight that they are not "expensive quality," but I have had no issues cooking with them in the month since I got them. If I experience any issues, I will try to remember and follow up.

I purchased this set because I needed pots and pans in my new place. After buying a new fridge, microwave, and nice knives...I decided to go with an affordable set of cookware since I'm still learning how to cook better.

As I went through the reviews on Amazon and other websites, this set seemed to win over as far as affordability and good usage, plus it had the added bonus of utensils. It arrived at work and I was so excited to cook something since I had been eating fast food for weeks.

The first thing I made was eggs the next morning. The pan was fantastic and the eggs were perfectly cooked and slid right off the non-stick. Best of all, it was easy to clean. But there was one casualty, the spatula. The plastic had burned just from flipping the eggs and bits of it is still coming off. We are still using it, but we may end up buying better utensils in the future.

Even if we do end up purchasing more utensils, the price of the cookware set can't be beat. On the bottom of the cookware is a metal ribbing that actually keeps the pans from sliding on the stove top. I added a padded liner to my drawers to help prevent scratching the exterior of the pots and pans.
