Discount KitchenAid Blade Coffee Grinder
This is the best coffee grinder I have ever owned. It is powerful...which makes the grinding go quickly. I have always had a mess with grinders as you transfer the grounds to the lid to then put in the coffeemaker. Then, when you put the lid back on, big mess! This one, the grinding "cup" just lifts out...the lid never gets grounds in it. Fantastic! It's also large enough to grind enough beans for a full 12-cup batch of coffee...and I drink strong coffee so I use a lot of beans. Seriously, best ever.
I use this grinder to grind spices, flax and black sesame, and it does a great job with each and every one of these. The plastic grinders are unsafe, since over time the plastic is damaged (gets cloudy) by the hard coffee bean and spices, and particles of plastic is getting in your food.
I searched for a stainless steel grinding bowl for safety reasons, and found this. This is a little gem. I only wish that kitchenaid sells extra cups.
Having said that, I do grind my own beans daily. I've owned the Krups unit for several years. It was reliable and easy to use. I was happy with it. It was happy with me. We raised our cups of coffee together. But as we advanced together beyond what could be comfortably called middle age, I got an itch for a nice little grinder with more pizazz. My relationship with the reliable little Krups got stale.
I picked up this little KitchenAid unit up on a website. KitchenAid looked hot, in tune with the times, and built like she could deliver. And boy, can she deliver. One of the things I like about her is she's quiet. If you have company sleeping in, there's no racket to embarrass you and rouse the guests sleepy-eyed and groggy out of the guest bedroom wondering if someone is getting killed. Krups was a screamer.
And trust me, KitchenAid has all the moves down. If you push the right button, she'll grind your beans to a state of perfection.
No, Krups and I are finished. It is so over. She gave me the best years of her life, but all good things must end. I hope she can find a new home. I don't have a single pang of regret that KitchenAid has moved in, and my beans have never been in better shape.
Update June 16, 2012 : Still 100% happy with this purchase. Even when I fill the reservoir full with beans and grind a lot at once, it never leaves any unground beans. Not even a small chunk remains, there is just a perfectly smooth, fine grind. And it grinds a full reservoir extremely fast (in mere SECONDS). I've put the removable reservoir in the dishwasher several times so far, no problem. I don't wash it every day. I wash it about once a week. I've never had loose grounds on the countertop and it's never made a mess, so I'm unsure why some reviews seem to say it made a mess. I'm being fully honest that I cannot think of a single thing that I dislike about this appliance. P.S. I don't put the clear acrylic top in the dishwasher. It's never dirty so I've never washed the lid, just the stainless steel bean reservoir.

This is the best dry grinder that I've ever owned. It is very attractive, compact, well designed & does the job. The cup can be removed to empty the ground item, and can be put in the dishwasher. This is a big plus. Let me begin with a confession: I'm not a coffee goar-may. I don't ask much of my coffeemaker and grinder beyond a good cuppa in the morning.Having said that, I do grind my own beans daily. Honest reviews on KitchenAid Blade Coffee Grinder
This grinder had some great features like being able to remve the cup for washing, but I have a laundry list of issues with it. First, the floor model I tinkered with came apart easily and came back together smoothly. Not so with the one that came out of our box. We had to man handle the cup out and the "pegs" didn't line up quite right without some fiddling. Our biggest problem is we need a fine grind, but this grinder did a superficial grind before heaping it all to the edge where the blade would no longer do anything. Even after shaking the grounds back down twice, the grind we were left with had chunks in it. Very disappointing for a KitchenAid product.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for KitchenAid Blade Coffee Grinder
I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this coffee mill. Even the expensive brands seemed to have poor reviews and the two main complaints in those reviews (not grinding all the beans and leaving chunks, and being too messy because there was not a removable cup) are NOT an issue with this model as far as I can tell. I've owned this about three weeks and couldn't be more pleased, in fact it exceeded every expectation. When I saw the blades for the first time, I assumed it was going to also leave some chucks of unground beans in the receptacle. Never has it done that. The grind is perfectly even and fine. I was also surprised that it is relatively quiet when grinding. This unit is VERY easy to clean and not messy because the receptacle lifts out and you empty that into the coffee filter rather than turning over the whole unit. Plus, both the grinding receptacle and the lid can be washed so you could easily switch from grinding coffee beans one day to grinding some peppercorns the next. You could never do that with a coffee grinder that didn't have a lift-out receptacle that you could throw in the dishwasher because there would be residual flavor in the receptacle. I have not tried grinding spices with it, but judging on how well it works with whole coffee beans I think it would do fine. I expected to like this unit, but thought I would have some of the same issues that other folks had experienced like the receptacle being somewhat difficult to lift out, or the lid getting covered with grounds. Honestly, each time I have used it the receptacle has been a piece of cake to lift out, I've had zero trouble with that. And even when I fill the receptacle full to grind a lot of beans I have yet to get the clear lid dirty with grinds. I realize I'm praising this thing to the point where it sounds perfect, but since I love it so far I really can't think of a negative. It's attractive on the counter too.Update June 16, 2012 : Still 100% happy with this purchase. Cheap Nespresso Aeroccino Plus
I really love it! You fill cold milk into it, push the button and after about a minute you get warm and very stiff cappucino-milk foam.
The newer Aeroccino Plus is an improved version of the older Aeroccino (no plus). It works great and honestly there is no reason to buy the old Aeroccino anymore (i own both)!
The Plus is larger, the milk doesn't burn to the floor of the kettle anymore, it can now be submerged into water (but no dishwasher!) and it can also do cold milk foam which looks great and stiff (hold the switch for about 2 seconds the light turns blue instead of red).
Finally cleaning is really easy and can be done with water, sometimes a little soap and with the hands there is no burned milk anymore (as with the old version). They also improved the coating so nothing sticks anymore.
If you love cappucinos or cafe-lattes, get one!
The Aeroccino froths milk either hot or cold, and has two attachmentsa wire whip that produces a whole lot of stiff foam for cappuccino, and a plastic mini-paddle that produces whipped milk with less, but richer, foam for lattes. We prefer the latter lattes.
It heats milk quickly and silently, and the froth is just great. You store the attachment you don't use in the lid, where it is held on by a clever magnet.
Clean-up is a breeze. The no-stick interior works really well-no burnt milk, only a little foamy residue to rinse out. Cleaning is a three second job.
Our only minor quibble is that the milk heats nicely, but it could stand to be just a little hotter. It would be nice to be able to adjust the temperature. We also wish that the Citiz Nespresso machine had a temperature adjustment control-it needs one more than the Aeroccino.
This is a great product, and we are very pleased with it. It is a little pricey, but probably worth it. The bottom line is that it is a great little appliance if you enjoy delicious, easy-to-make lattes or cappuccinos.
UPDATE: 7/24/2010. Our aeroccino died after about three months. We treated it with kid gloves-it has never been immersed and had never been in the dishwasher. Nespresso said the problem might have been leaving the mug on the base unit, although the owners manual does not say anything about that (it does say that you should not store the mug on the base if you are not going to use it for an extended period of time, but we use ours every day). This indicates a certain fragility to the product, if not a design flaw.
Because of the premature death of our aeroccino, I deducted one star from my initial five-star rating. The good news is that Nespresso was very good about respecting the warranty, and sent us a new unit immediately w/o any fuss at all. We don't have to return the old unit, which is good in terms of cost and convenience. They asked us to recycle it, if possible, which happily is no problem here. It really is a nifty little machine, so we are hoping that the replacement proves to be more durable.
UPDATE II: 8/2011. Our replacement aeroccino is still going great after a year. We no longer store it on the base unit, which is mildly irritating, but otherwise we still love it.
Aeroccino Plus comes with 2 milk "stirrers" spun by a magnet under the bottom of the insert. One stirrer is whisk-like which whips air into the milk for a thick foam used in cappucinos and the other stirrer is just a paddle which incorporates minimal air while the milk is being heated. The big plus is that time is reduced dramatically. In less than one minute, the milk is frothed and heated which cuts down on prep time. The frothing is not bad but as suspected not quite micro bubbles. Using the whisk like stirrer, the milk comes out rather thick...good for cappucinos. The one criticism I have is the capacity of the machine. The holder is marked with 2 levels (one for each stir application). The first time I used it and filled to the lower level and stirred with the whisk stirrer, I found you could not put the lid on because soon after the stirring started, the milk over flowed and spilled out. This means you can add barely enough milk for a single shot. The second time I tried it, I filled it to the higher level marked for the paddle stirrer. The milk heated fast but the micro bubbles didn't quite happen...the milk came out a little thinner than ideal. But overall, for the convenience and speed, I really can't complain. I've resigned to use the convenience and quickness of the Aeroccino plus on week days when I'm rushing for work but sacrifice a little on quality. Then on weekends when time is not as much as an issue, I'll go back to the manual steam wand on Ms Silvia for my perfect latte. I know the Plus has a higher capacity than previous version but I would have liked to have just a little more capacity.
Update 09-19-10: Just frothed Almond Milk and it worked perfectly. I have had zero problems with the Aeroccino Plus and it still looks like new. It never burns the liquid and clean-up could not be easier. All the Best!

We bought the Aeroccino Plus with a Citiz 110 Nespresso machine. We love both, but the Aeroccino Plus might be the better buy. Best Deals for Nespresso Aeroccino Plus
I received my Aeroccino Plus on Friday and have been testing it the last couple of days. I'm an experienced barista and take my espresso, latte and cappucino seriously. First, you can't beat a traditional manual espresso maker with a good steam wand. Using the steam wand on my machine, I get good consistent micro foam which brings out the natural sweetness of the milk. The trouble is that it takes a good 2 to 3 minutes each time which adds to prep time in the mornings before work. Also, when you're having a party and everyone wants a cappucino, I spend more time in front of my espresso machine than with guests. I wanted to try the Aeroccino plus as an alternative knowing it couldn't replace the steam wand on my Ms Silvia.Aeroccino Plus comes with 2 milk "stirrers" spun by a magnet under the bottom of the insert. Honest reviews on Nespresso Aeroccino Plus
I just received the Nespresso Aeroccino Plus for Christmas and I agree with all of the previous reviews. This milk frother is amazing! I have used a La Pavoni espresso maker for years and the steam wand has worked just fine. However, the Aeroccino Plus has several advantages over a steam wand. I add a shot of flavored syrup for cappuccinos to skim milk before I froth it. Now the foam is flavored which tastes like whipped cream and has the same consistency. The manufacturer recommends whole or semi-skimmed milk which may work even better. The foam does not collapse as with a steam wand. Also, since I am not using steam to froth the milk, I can make three more espresso drinks before I need to refill the La Pavoni. I am able to make espresso drinks more efficiently and faster since I do not need to spend time steam frothing. The milk is frothing automatically at the same time the espresso is being made. The Nespresso Aeroccino Plus will also froth soy milk if you are so inclined, better than the most experienced barista. I froth with the lid off making the clean up easier because now there is no need to clean the top or the lid seal. The milk is very hot and does not spill out the top. I bought the Nespresso on Amazon not just because of price but also because I could not find it in any mall store or coffee shop. It is not a kitchen gadget and retailers are making a big mistake by not stocking this well designed and elegant product. It is worth the money and I recommend it highly.Update 09-19-10: Just frothed Almond Milk and it worked perfectly. I have had zero problems with the Aeroccino Plus and it still looks like new. The new Plus version is a significant improvement over the original and a real pleasure to use. It's froth is more dense and with much less unfrothed hot milk. It's much easier to clean and has additional features (cold froth for iced versions, and the whisks have a handle so it's easier to remove/insert). The surface no longer causes milk to stick and get brown as in the original, so it's much quicker and easier to clean. Major improvement: the base is now sealed and waterproof, so one doesn't need to worry about getting water on it when cleaning, though it's not dishwasher safe, but there would never be a need to use a dishwasher. I haven't had it long enough to have any problem, nor do I anticipate any on this one, though I had many problems with the original. To be safe, it would be wise to buy it from Nespresso directly, or be sure it's registered with them in some way, so their warranty allows a simple exchange if it does malfunction.Nespresso 3192US Aeroccino PlusTuesday, November 25, 2014

Perfect platter for my needs. Great size and weight, BUT the finish was dinged in several places on the second one to be delivered. I have a MicroHearth Grill that I purchased a month ago and I loved it so when I saw this set I decided to try and and I am more than statisfied. I haven't tried the baking pan yet, but I love everything else. The boiled eggs come out great and are so easy to make. The sandwiches are perfect and no messy clean-up. No splatters on the stove. I now use my microwave for more than popcorn and heating water. The price at Amazon was lower than any other place. The recipe book has lots of recipes. My next thing is going to be the pizza.
ShirleyI do like this product very much--it just isn't quite as versatile as the description indicates. I have a 1300 watt microwave, which means that I burned my first few attempts at using the pan. Not a huge problem, but a bit wasteful. The main "wish it were different" issue is the amount of steam that collects in the pan. One layer of potatoes cooked in oil should crisp, but after I turn them, they are a bit soggy if browned, and not browned if cooked for less time. I can live with that--this pan allows me to have roasted food without overheating my kitchen with a regular oven. After doing without roast veggies last summer, this pan is worth the money for that dish alone.

Discount Corning Visions Vision Ware Amber 3 Piece Double Boiler Sauce Pan
I purchased a complete set of Visions pots and lids in 1987. I got the Double Boiler in 1989.. I have the 5 sauce pots from the small 1.5 cup size and lid, all the way up to the 3 quart size with lids... I have used all of them and I use Scotch Bright (the green sheet) scrubbers to clean the troubled spots from cooking (that I didn't watch too closely. I take the Scotch Bright sheet and cut it up into quarters so I have scrubbers that are ~ 3" x 2") I use these pots like I use any pot without too much tender care... just ordinary everyday use. I love them because I can see the cooking process, store in the frig, (don't put in the freezer as I use the pans to often) and use to reheat... and the small pots I use in my micro. After all the years of use some of the bottoms are not as clear as they were when they were new, but from all the Scotch Bright scrubbing I give them I am surprised they are as still "unscratched" as they are. For all the years I have had these, I would say that for the price of a $45.00 for one pan, and for using them for the past 25 years... that is $1.80 a year. I don't have the large "soup pot" but for all the sauce pans, I would NEVER have anything else. They are very health also, as there is NO aluminum or steel leaching into the foods. Salt water use has not affected my pots... I can't praise these enough. Lower temps of the stove burners are necessary with these pots than with metal pots. But mistakes are cleaned easily. The best price and variety of these pots and pans is on Amazon. Get one and try it... they are GREAT!

My espresso cups arrived even earlier than I was expecting. Le Creuset is just such a great quality line of products that you really can't go wrong with anything you purchase from them. Had to order these in the marseille color to match my tea pot!
These are the perfect size for espresso and the saucers are designed to hold the espresso cup in place which is super important! Other espresso/saucer combo's that i've found don't have a deep enough divet for the cup to go so the espresso splashes out of the cup very easily and it's messy.

Whether for breakfast or different flavored hot wings, the 3-station server is great! The best part about it is that it does not require burner candles nor does it need to be filled with water. On a cautionary note, beware of how high you set the temperature setting; it can make cleaning difficult. All in all it is a great addition to any kitchen collection and is great for any party. Simple, practical, yet elegant.
Pros: compact, heats food evenly, no cracking concerns because of the glass lids, lids have vents, i used it in the low setting and that kept the food warm
Cons: the finish is rough around the edges, it is very small, each one of them probably holds an appetizer/ side for no more than4 people, pow cord is real short, doesn't reach the ground from a standard buffet table
Overall, i'd buy this product again, it's probably one of the best out there for this $ range
Overall I would recommend this to anyone. This is great for any house parties or family gatherings.

I've used this once and here are my observations -Pros: compact, heats food evenly, no cracking concerns because of the glass lids, lids have vents, i used it in the low setting and that kept the food warm
Cons: the finish is rough around the edges, it is very small, each one of them probably holds an appetizer/ side for no more than4 people, pow cord is real short, doesn't reach the ground from a standard buffet table
Overall, i'd buy this product again, it's probably one of the best out there for this $ range

Just used the warming trays for the first time. I was extremely impressed. This thing works great and keeps the food piping hot!Honest reviews on Nostalgia Electrics BCS-998 3-Station Buffet Server, Stainless Steel
This is a good item when entertaining. I really like it for taco night. I use one side for the meat, another for the refried beans and the last for the cheese sauce. Sometime on Mexican nights one of them holds Spanish rice, and another black beans. The uses are endless.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Nostalgia Electrics BCS-998 3-Station Buffet Server, Stainless Steel
First, I have to say that I really thought this was bigger than it was. The individual trays were much smaller than I had anticipated. However, it works just fine. This is made of a good quality material. I love the fact that there are 3 separate temperature controls as most I have found only have 1 setting to control all three. The glass lids are made of a good thick glass that doesn't seem to be too fragile at all.Overall I would recommend this to anyone. This is great for any house parties or family gatherings.

I wrote this review on another product page Calphalon Unison Nonstick 8-Inch and 10-Inch Omelette Pan Set as I purchased them both specifically to compare them:
Nearly 10 months ago I purchased this item at the same time as another product, Cuisinart FCT22-20NS French Classic Tri-Ply Stainless 8-Inch Nonstick Skillet, specifically to compare them and guide my future purchases. After extensive daily usage of both products I can share my perspective and hope it helps others. I will be comparing only the 8 inch Calphalon pan to the 8 inch Cuisinart.
The Cuisinart product is a classic pro-style pan that seemed perfect for what I was after. That said, I was drawn to the Calphalon product by the attractive pricing and decent product reviews I found here on Amazon and elsewhere on the web. I am an avid appreciator of omelettes and there is no better task to test the sticky-factor of a pan than with omelettes especially as I am a flipper, not a folder.
I found both the Cuisinart and Calphalon pans to have good feel to them. The handle design and the weight of the pans is slightly different. The Cuisinart handle arcs higher which I preferred a bit more. The slope of the sides of the pan on the Calphalon is steeper leaving a larger cooking surface area on the bottom. For an omelette flipper the Cuisinart's less dramatic slope made it easier. That said, after a couple weeks of use I could achieve the same results with either.
Both pans perform well as a non-stick surface product. Very little effort to keep things from sticking and it required little to no butter or oil to get that result from both. These surfaces on both pans seemed to perform better once "broken in" even though that's not generally a characteristic of this material.
Now for durability. I invest way too much in cooking gear to use sharp tools on them. So I stick with just plastic tipped tongs or a silicone spatulas. Period. Regardless of my efforts, both pans are showing signs of scratches on the cooking surface a very disappointing finding. The Cuisinart looks to have held off scratches much better than the Calphalon. I expect that to start affecting the non-stick capabilities in a couple years as the scratches worsen. Both items are labeled as dishwasher safe and I did take advantage of that and it worked out well. The external surface of the Calphalon is easier to care for than the stainless surface on the Cuisinart.
So, it would seem that for half the price the Calphalon performed very well against the Cuisinart. The longevity of the Cuisinart will likely be the differenciator in the long run. But since I received two pans for pretty close to the same price in the Calphalon offering it really does win my vote in the end.

First bought the 8", which really is too small--basically suitable for one-egg omelet. The 10" had a price drop since I first looked at it, so even though pricey for me, decided to treat myself. Glad I did. This makes perfect 2 or 3 egg omelets, even using egg white, every time. I do use a little olive oil spray. Cleans quickly. My first high-priced omelet pan and am happy with my purchase.Best Deals for Cuisinart French Classic Tri-Ply Stainless Non-Stick Skillets
I just love it. Doing eggs mixed with cheese is a breeze. The price can't be beat for the quality you get.I highly recomend it for anyone expert or not. It heats up and holds the heat at a lower temp. Clean up is no prob. since nothing sticks.Honest reviews on Cuisinart French Classic Tri-Ply Stainless Non-Stick Skillets

I own three of the Cuisinart French Classic Tri-Play skillets but they are all stainless. This is my first non-stick skillet purchase from the brand. The quality of build and cooking experience met my expectations. I can finally cook eggs without a mess to clean-up afterwards.Sunday, May 25, 2014

After about 8 months of use per instructions, the skillet has lost all nonstick qualities. It was very slick for the first several months but now we use it like an uncoated triply and as such, is one of the best. Quality construction, very even heat and perfectly flat, now it just sticks like crazy without lots of oil. It has never been in a dishwasher, overheated or seen a metal utensil. No visible scratches. Any ideas on restoring nonstick?
According to many of the reviews above I am not the only one to have this issue. I suggest contacting their customer service at:

I've had the Henckels for about a week, so I haven't had them for very long. Out of the box, the light blue ceramic coating is pretty. These pans heat up much faster and appear to heat more evenly than the Cuisinarts. My first test was chicken cutlets. Using very little oil, the chicken browned nicely without burning. By applying a little motion to the pan, the pieces of chicken slid easily in the pan. My ultimate test was two sunny side up fried eggs. I put a few drops of oil in the pan and spread it with a paper towel to coat the pan. Eggs went in and then, as the eggs started to cook, I added a tablespoon of water and covered the pan. In other pans, the addition of the water will cause the egg to stick. Not in the Henckels. I used a fork to gently release the edges of the cooked egg. The egg then slid out with a problem and without breaking the yolks.
I've been using them about once a day and have yet to have a problem with sticking. If there is some residue left in the pan (could be caramelized juices, cooked breading, etc.), it is easily removed without scrubbing.
I think that one trick is to coat the pan with a little oil spread with a paper towel. That should allow food to be released easily.
After reading some of the other reviews, I wonder if the non-stick surface will last the longer I use the pans. If that should happen, I'll update my review.
To me, a great pan conducts heat evenly, can go through the dishwasher and comes out looking like new forever.
I use gas and the heat conductivity is such that I have to be careful, so watch your stuff, it will burn if you use the settings you used on your old pans.
I bought the 8, 10 and 12 inch size., Made crepes in the 8 inch pan yesterday, latkes in the 12 inch pan the other day and I brown thick rib eye steaks on top of the stove and finish them in the oven at 425 for a few minutes. They work like a charm.

I have owned these pans for about 6 months. When I first got them they were very non stick. Wonderful. But as the months progressed the non stick started to degrade to the point where now it is hardly non stick anymore. I have NEVER used them dry. Only with a good oil or butter. I keep the heat on medium to low. In addition they chip very easily. Now before you blame me, I have never used anything but plastic or wood utensils and never stack them with other pots. But regardless they now have several small chips on the rim and in the middle of the pan. I am truly mystified as how it happened. But if it was my fault then they are super fragile as I am a very careful cook and have always treated them with great care. I am really bummed by this as I love the feel, weight and look of these pans. To return them to Zwilling from Hawaii is a very expensive undertaking and I am not sure if the manufacturer will replace them even if I do. I wish they lived up to the promise and I wish I could leave a 5 star review. I want to love these pans but they have failed in a very short time of using them only 2-3 times a week. Disappointed.Best Deals for Zwilling J.A. Henckels Spirit Frypan 2pack 8-inch and 10-inch
Worked great for four weeks and then food gradually began to stick to the point where the pans were unusable. Since they are guaranteed for life I contacted Henckel's customer service for replacements. I sent them back as requested and they determined the pans were "defective" and shipped replacement pans which I have received. It will be interesting to see if these perform any better......According to many of the reviews above I am not the only one to have this issue. I suggest contacting their customer service at:

Honest reviews on Zwilling J.A. Henckels Spirit Frypan 2pack 8-inch and 10-inch
I bought the Zwilling J.A. Henckels pans to replace two Cuisinart ceramic non-stick pans of the same size. The Cuisinarts never lived up to their promise of a non-stick surface unless the pans were really well heated first and then coated with oil spread by a paper towel. And, as the Cuisinarts aged, their surface lost most of its non-stick properties.I've had the Henckels for about a week, so I haven't had them for very long. This mini says clearly in the description that it is 2 3/4 inches high. You can by them from Staub, Apilco and others if you need cheaper ones. These perform better in fast and even heating, in water baths or in ovens. You can freeze them. They also might appeal to those who prefer to bring gleaming copper to the table.
These are not toys or decorations or "curiosities". They are expensive to build. They are worth the higher price if you want exacting results, particularly if you use them frequently. Otherwise you can certainly get by just fine with ceramics as mentioned above. When they say "mini", they really mean MINI. This is a very cute piece, but I can't think of anything to actually use it for, so I'm returning it. It's smaller than most sugar bowls. It's a novelty piece.

Best Beka Cookware Vita 11" Silver Nonstick Covered Sauté Pan Deals

List Price: $109.95
Sale Price: $42.33

I bought this to replace a saute pan that was a freebie from a grocery store promotion, but that I found myself using nearly every day. I was looking for very specific features: 1. dishwasher safe; 2. a capacity of at least 3 quarts; 3. "green" non-stick coating (no PTFE or PFOA used in the manufacture); 4. helper handle; 5. price tag less than $100.00. This pan was the only one I found that met all of my criteria.
I've used my new Beka pan only a handful of times so far, but I can say several things about it. 1. The glass lid has a small circular opening to allow steam to escape: steam venting is not optional. 2. I wasn't happy with the way it cleaned up in the dishwasher, and have resorted to washing it by hand. 3. The handles are not attached by rivets. There is a screw that must be periodically tightened to prevent the main handle from twisting. 4. The pan does a nice job of heating evenly. 5. The pan is very heavy. Without the lid, and empty, it weighs just over 4 pounds. It seems unusually heavy for a pan not made of cast iron. It is for this reason that I have deducted a star.I have used this pan at least 8 times. It is great! The food slides right out! It is heavy, but I absolutely love it! I would recommend this pan to everyone!! No problems here!

I got this exact pot elsewhere, but since everybody reads Amazon reviews, decided to enter mine here. It's a satisfactory quality pot, it cleans well, too. The only problem is that the lid doesn't fit tight enough it is loose and there is a gap all around, so it makes it more difficult to strain (I lost some of spaghetti), and it takes longer to bring pot to a boil. Also, lid handle gets very hot.
