I love all things Le Creuset, and this batter bowl is no different. It's the perfect size for waffle, pancake, or popover batter. It's weighty, sturdy, and absolutely beautiful. I have used it 4 times since I bought it a month ago, and plan to use many many times more. A great product.

This baking pan is perfect for Taco salad bowls using the tortilla to make the edible bowl. I have the 6" pans but they are too small. For a large salad, this pan is ideal. Love them.

These nonstick 9-inch Mexican oven pans are easy to use and clean up quickly just with a little soap and water...excellent product...if you like taco salads as I do these will be perfect for you...Enjoy!

Best Deals for Mexican Origins Nonstick 8.75-Inch Tostada Baker, Set of 2

These bakers are just what I was looking for and couldn't find locally. Even though they were out-of-stock when I placed my order, I received notification that they had come in sooner than expected. I was pleased I didn't have to wait too long. If I had, it would have been worth the wait.

What I particularly like about these bakers is the large size. This adds to their versatility. You can use average sized tortillas if you want a small taco bowl (note: they'll fill less than half way), but you have the option to go large with a burrito size tortilla for a show-stopper, main meal.

You can also use the bakers for ordinary salads, guacamole, dips, or to set out other dinner, or party snacks. With a little imagination, these are multipurpose.

It's super easy to remove the baked taco shell. It will just slide right out, or you can gently pick it out with tongs after a brief cool down. Then the baker is super easy to clean with a small amount of dish soap. They really are slick and non-stick.

And, lastly, I can see kids enjoying making their own taco bowl. This might even make them a little less resistant to eating those healthy salad fixings. It's a family, win-win, at an affordable price, too.

Honest reviews on Mexican Origins Nonstick 8.75-Inch Tostada Baker, Set of 2

I was surprised to find these are larger than I expected. In fact, my regular flour tortilla were too small for this pan. I went ahead and baked a couple small shells and in a 400 degree oven for approximately 5 minutes and they came out brown and crunchy. . Highly recommend these pans for those of you who love taco salads.

I used the pans to make the shells for taco salads and they worked great. I used the large burrito size flour tortillas and they fit and formed to the pan easily. I placed them in the oven at 375 degrees for about 9-10 minutes and they were perfect.

This flatware is elegant and practical. It has a very nice feel in the hand and looks beautiful on the table. I highly recommend it.

The service arrived within 10 days of my purchasing it through Amazon and was extremely well packed for safe arrival. All pieces were protected in plastic sleeves, so patience was needed in the unpacking process, but congratulations to the manufacturer for taking such care when shipping their product!

Where to start...

Long Delay In Shipping: -1.5 Stars

I ordered it on December 14th, and did not receive it until January 25th. The almost month and a half wait was bad enough, but to top it off, the quality of this set is well below the quality of two 8-pc settings I own.

Quality of the Set: -2.5 Stars

This was intended as a gift, but the quality is so lacking I would feel bad about giving this away. The polish/finish on multiple pieces was lacking (especially on the hostess set) and the edges feel sharper (less rounded) and therefore not as comfortable in the hand. I weighed individual pieces of my existing set in comparison to the one from Amazon and each piece was within a few grams of the set I own. I was originally thinking maybe these were a counterfeit set or seomthing, but it seems that these are just crappy pieces or castoffs that weren't good enough for retail sale (they were all packed in plastic sleeves and rubberbanded together as expected but shipped in a plain white box with a UPC sticker on one end with a little card inside that claimed they were made by Gingko).

Summary:

The price being about forty bucks less than buying the 8 place setting set and the 4 place setting set was the main attraction, and the 4-for-3 promotion just saved me even more. The long wait and the vastly inferior quality are not worth it in my book. I would give it zero stars, but if you don't mind the wait, and are not trying to match them up with an existing set, they would be acceptable just not as nice as the retail ones due to the finish issues and less rounded/contoured edges on the handles.

Honest reviews on Ginkgo Lafayette 65-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Set, Service

Great quality for the price--was hesitant buying 18.0 stainless--however, have been pleasantly surprised. This silverware is beautiful and I could not find any flaws on any piece. It is thicker and heavier and just has a good weight overall. I don't like a pointy spoon, so the rounded spoons are just perfect. The silverware has held up very, very well in the dishwasher--no "spots" that can sometimes appear on less expensive silverware. I looked and looked before I bought this set that was medium priced with a good quality. I am entirely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone. The only "sad" part for me is that I could not afford to buy American made.

Liked that it came with a serving set and I could get twelve and not two sets of 8 which was more than I needed.

I bought the casserole, and let me tell you, everything I love about the French oven is present right here. Wider than the oven, it is, of course, shallower, but it still holds a healthy amount of food. Certainly it's big enough for a good-size casserole. It's also great for browning meat before baking. I find that pork chops (holds four small or 3 porterhouse chops comfortably) browned in a little olive oil, then smothered in vegetables and slow baked (covered, always covered!) at about 325 in this casserole, turn out moist and juicy and tender, with a gorgeous brown sauce that you can turn into gravy or just spoon over the chops. The vegetables emerge aromatic and tender. Everyone is happy, and the world spins contentedly for one more night. This is a high quality piece of kitchenware; since I got the French oven I've been sold on Le Creuset, and I'm here to sing its praises. Things don't burn unless you're not paying attention, and cleanup is a marvel. Who needs non-stick when you have enameled iron? The red, as I've said elsewhere, is very jolly, and might even provoke you to flights of Gaulic fancy (Vous: Et pour dejuner, les escargots en casserole! Les enfants: EUUUUUUUU) There are more sedate colors available, but I do recommend the red if you have a frivolous bone in your body.

This wonderful pot is a cross between a dutch oven and a large heavy skillet. The bottom has about the same surface area as the 7-quart le Creuset french oven (big enough for a whole brisket or a large cut-up chicken), but the sides are half as high.

The large browning surface and shallow profile make this just the thing for dishes that involve browning meat or chicken, and then pouring on a sauce to slowly simmer and concentrate. The heavy lid makes the pot perfect for slow, wet, braising of tough cuts of meat like back ribs once the dish is done the pan goes right onto the stovetop to deglaze. Jambalaya turns out beautifully: sweat some onions, celery, and peppers over low heat, brown some sausage or smoked meat, and pour in the rice and liquid the heavy lid does wonders for the rice, and once the dish is done the whole thing can be brought to the table to serve from.

The only drawback to this pot is that you can't carve in it slicing up a brisket or corned beef would risk trashing the enamel. The weight is also impressive with the lid this pot is almost 13 pounds, which may be more than some cooks can handle.

Best Deals for Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron Buffet Casseroles

I first started seeing this pan on Giada De Laurentis' cooking show "Everyday Italian" when I began collecting Le Creuset. I didn't know it as a casserole at the time since it more resembles the "Everyday Pans" being sold by manufactuers like Calphalon and All-Clad.

Of course, you can use it as a casserole and it's the perfect size for macaroni and cheese, fruit cobbler, or chicken and dumplings. However, it is also a great saute and fry pan: steaks and chops brown beautifully; it's great for making a quick pasta sauce; it fries chicken like a champ; risotto cooks slowly and evenly; and it's even big enough for a small to medium roast. In fact, I like it so much I got the five quart model for big batches of paella and larger roasts like turkeys and hams.

Not only is this pan a joy to use and look at, it's also easy to care for. It can go in the dishwasher, but really all it needs is a little soak and the caked on food just comes off with a scrubby sponge or dish brush.

Though any cook would appreciate this piece, it is an especially good starter piece for the recent graduate or newlywed and it will last a lifetime.

Honest reviews on Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron Buffet Casseroles

My thoughtful guy stopped off at a Le Creuset outlet and called me from the store: "Hey, I'm at the Le Creuset outlet and you can have anything you want!" Oh, boy, it wasn't even my birthday. After consultation with the helpful sales assistant, we chose this casserole. It's large and flat like a skillet, has a domed cover, two side handles and it has the regular enamel lining. The sales assistant claimed it was the most used pot in her kitchen. I agree!

We leave this out on the stove as it's rather large. We do a lot of things in it, but recently we made Swiss Steak. I am not a big Swiss Steak fan, but when someone comes home with the wrong meat for the grill (hint; you BRAISE round steak, not grill it) then you deal with it. I hammered flour into the steaks with the cubed side of the meat mallet. Then sauteed the meat in the Le Creuset casserole. I added minced onion, a can of diced tomatoes and let the whole thing simmer on the stove (though I could have finished it in the oven--this goes in the oven at moderate temperatures.) The result was a tender Swiss steak and with judicious stirring from time to time with a spatula to release the meat from the enamel surface, it was an easy cleanup.

Unlike teflon, you do have to stir to avoid catching the food on the bottom. I find that a nylon spatula, shoved under the meat from time to time, releases it well. But I'd advise you never really leave this kind of pot to cook on its own even on the lowest heat unless you have a heat spreader or even heat. Our gas stove seems to create hot spots under the surface, so I keep an eye on it from time to time.

The cleanup is easy--no abrasives or rough pads, please, but a good soaking cleans it up with a mild scrubbing nylon pad. The cream enamel does stain from tomato and caramelized foods, quick cleanup mitigates this, but over time, you will see some darkening. This bothers some people but as long as the surface is intact, we are ok with a bit of staining.

If you do a lot of skillet cooking and like Le Creuset, this piece is wonderful and it can go from stove to tabletop because it is quite pretty.

Le Creuset manufactures porcelain enameled cast iron cooking vessels as well as other products. Le Creuset casts these cooking vessels from molten iron poured in sand moulds that are used only once. For this reason, one pot may look like another, but each is unique in its own way.

Cast iron is a highly efficient material which absorbs and distributes heat efficiently. It is recommended that cooking with cast iron is done on low to medium heat. There are exceptions like boiling water where cooking on high heat is appropriate and okay. Remove cast iron from the heat and it does not cool off quickly. This helps your food stay warm while serving. Beware; iron tends to be heavy so these cooking vessels tend to be heavy as well.

Cast iron is an effective material for cooking so why cover it with enamel? Iron tends to rust; iron oxide (rust) doesn't add any complimentary flavors to your food. If your cast iron cooking vessel was not enameled, you would have to season and maintain your cooking vessel. Adding the porcelain enamel not only looks good, but has multiple benefits. The enamel, being a solid coating, is one of the most hygienic surfaces to cook on, does not stain, absorb odors, retain flavors, and is easy to clean. The enamel can be damaged, so limit cooking tools to plastic or wood.

The benefits of cooking with Le Creuset cast iron are many, but lets get down to the buffet casserole specifically. 5 quarts can be a lot of space when it comes to casseroles, so consider your recipes when determining the size you need. The buffet casserole tend to do best if at least 3/4 full. Any less and you may overwhelm your food with heat evenly dispersed in the pot.

With a large flat bottom that curves up this pan resembles a curved sided saute pan the only thing missing would be a long handle. The tight fitting lid is mostly flat with curved sides. This lid seals in heat, moisture, and flavors and can be used to hold your meat while you are making a sauce from the drippings. Its shape and design makes this an extremely versatile pan.

I tend to use this pot for simple braising more than anything else. It easily holds a cut up large roasting chicken and other ingredients very well. But once you get past the basic functionality that lends itself to recipes such as paella, coq au vin, and basic casseroles, you can really open up the possibilities.

Keep in mind this is a 5 quart pan, feeding two out if it is ridiculous unless you want plenty of leftovers. With that in mind, how about roasting a chicken in it with potatoes and vegetables all in the same pan soaking up those juices? Pineapple upside down cake or bread pudding for when you need to please many guests, making spaghetti sauce which you can later braise your meatballs in, poaching fish, or sauteing pork chops. The possibilities almost seem endless.

One feature that people tend to complain about is the cost. The cost does seem steep compared to other pans made from other materials. Heck, cast iron doesn't seem like it should be expensive when comparing to that old cast iron pan past generations have used for cornbread and camping. However the manufacturing process requires making a mould for each and every pan produced. They then go through the enameling process before shipping these heavy pans. If you take what goes into making and distributing these high quality cast iron products, the cost tends to make sense. Then consider that this pan will easily last a lifetime when taken care of.

Here is one of my favorite recipes I use this pan for:

JAMBALAYA

1/4 cup cooking oil

1/2 lb. boneless cooked chicken, cubed

1/2 lb. smoked sausage, sliced

1 large chopped onion

1 large chopped bell pepper

1 bunch chopped green onions

1 cup chopped celery

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 16 oz can tomatoes, drained (reserve liquid)

1 tsp. thyme

1/2 tsp. black pepper

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

1 tsp. salt

1 1/2 cup converted rice

1 1/2 cups chicken stock or water

1 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire

2 lbs. peeled and deveined raw shrimp

1) In your Buffet Casserole, saute diced chicken if not pre cooked, remove and hold in the lid until later. Use oil as needed.

2) Saute sausage until lightly browned. Remove from pan and hold in the lid.

3) Sautee onions bell pepper, green onions, celery and garlic in meat drippings until tender. Add tomatoes, thyme, pepper and salt. Cook 5 minutes.

4) Stir in rice.

5) Mix together liquid from tomatoes, stock and Worcestershire sauce to equal 2 1/2 cups. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer.

6) Add raw shrimp, chicken and sausage and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally for about 30 minutes until rice and shrimp are done.

PROS:

Extremely versatile

Efficient absorption and distribution of heat

Hygienic enamel cooking surface

Does not stain, absorb odors, or retain flavors

Easy to clean when not abused or misused

Can be transferred from stove top to the oven to the table

Can easily last a lifetime

CONS:

Its heavy, as cast iron tends to be weighing in at about 15.5 pounds.

This is the most handy pot I have! As they say, it is just the right size. I originally purchased it to make my hard boiled eggs. I have chickens, so I have a lot of those!

It easily holds a dozen eggs. I stack them up in the basket and lower them into the pot and add enough cold water to cover them sufficiently. Then I take the basket out and put the water on to boil. When the water comes to a rolling boil, I again lower the basket into the pot and time it for 14 minutes for large/extra large eggs. I don't wait for it to reach another boil before starting the timer. I have found this method to be the best for peeling hard boiled eggs, especially the "farm fresh" ones that are more difficult.

When they are done, I take out the basket and rinse the eggs with the coldest water I can get out of the tap. Meanwhile, I allow the pot to cool somewhat and then lower the eggs back in and fill it with very cold water. I drain the cold water and add new cold water a few times and then let the eggs stay in the cold water a while. Ice can also be added to the water, which eliminates the need to change the cold water. When the eggs are sufficiently cool, they are so easy to peel! And I have never cracked an egg doing this!

I have also used it with the basket for boiling carrots and they were so easy to lift out and dump into a bowl. Without the basket in place, I have made pasta sauce that cooked perfectly.

The height of the pot worried me a bit, thought it might not cook evenly. Well, there is no problem at all. I find I need to leave the heat lower than with my other pots, which are also good quality. Even with the small base, nothing has stuck to the bottom or scorched, not even the pasta sauce.

The cool touch handles are great and make the pot easy to handle. I always keep it on my stove as it is so handy. I use it frequently and don't know how I ever did without it!

I just ordered a second pot for a gift for my neighbor, who loves to cook. I know she will love it, just as I do!

This pot is not only extremely handy, it is made of high quality stainless steel and cleans up beautifully. I just wish I could give it more than 5 stars, it is that good!

Edit 3/26/10--Since there is no image for this pot, I thought I should add a little description. Overall, I would say this looks like a gourmet pot. It is shiny stainless steel with a wide brushed finished band around the middle. It is tall and looks like a large sauce pitcher made into a pot. It has a pouring spout with a long curved handle (only curved at the top, from there on it angles down) at the opposite side. The glass top lid has two sets of draining holes, one small on one side and another larger set at the other side.

The strainer basket (which features a convenient lift up handle) has rather large openings, so I wouldn't plan on using it for noodles and so on. But that's where the strainer lid comes in very handy. With the strainer in place, this pot would be great for cooking asparagus, broccoli, carrots, corn on the cob and, of course, eggs (as previously mentioned)! And even though it can easily be referred to as an asparagus cooker, it is very versatile and has many uses.

All handles (pot, strainer, and lid) are covered with red silicone to keep them comfortably cool--I believe that is the only color it comes in. To me, it has a very contemporary, European look. It looks very elegant on my stove, which is where I keep it all the time.

Seriously, this is one of the handiest pots ever for your small burner. It quickly became my favorite for 4 reasons. #1 It's so handy, you can steam veggies (basket is large enough to steam enough for 4), cook pasta, steep tea, sanitize, and the list can go on and on. #2 The handle is covered with a coating that just doesn't get hot if correctly placed over my gas burner. #3 It's small enough that it fits perfectly when I am using my 12" skillet on the front burner!! #4 It's so darn cute! Bright shiny stainless steel with just a touch of color on the handles and clear glass lid make it eye candy just doing it's job. You will not regret this purchase and will wonder what you EVER DID WITHOUT IT!

Best Deals for Stainless Steel Creamer and or Sugar Bowl (Each Sold Separately)

As other reviewers have said, the simple design is great.

A few caveats:

1. If you overfill this bowl, especially with coarse sugar, you kind of have to dig into the sugar to fit the sugar spoon into the slot. It has to be at a certain angle for the lid to shut.

2. The stainless steel used is not the best quality; it's a bit more matte than shown in the picture. The reason I notice this is because I have it sitting on top of a stainless steel mirror polished Alessi tray and the difference is pretty noticeable.

3. Also, made in China.

Otherwise, a nice modern piece.

I have had Visions cookware for about 17 years I guess. One of them has broken, but I loved them for all the years I've had them. They are great on gas stoves. They are great on electric stoves. I caution you to use low heat levels. High liquid items are no trouble. Baking is no trouble. If I burned something in one of them, I used a metal spatula to gently and carefully remove most of the charred crud, and then some cleanser or SOS to make them look like new again. I am looking to replace my beloved and well used 5 quart that had a coffee cup tossed into it by one of the kiddies :). I really like this cookware.

A L L....V I S I O N S....Cookware is perfect! I have

often thought that if I ever achieved all my dreams,

and became a millionaire, (or even a billionaire or a

trillionaire!), I would STILL want to cook, and would

STILL want ONLY "Visions", (or Pyrex, or Corelle, or

other glass or glass/ceramic cookare), to cook with.

This type of cookware is easy to clean, keeps correct

temperature, HAS NO HOT SPOTS, (which can ruin most

otherwise wonderful stainless-steel cookware), looks

quite beautiful, and just has an instinctive "feel"to

it that says, "pefect cookware".

"Visions" cookware is at the top of this list,

because one can see through it...all through it...and

not just from a glass top. This is very convenient

if one wants to do something else, and glance up, once

every few minutes, to see if the cooking is done.

True, "Visions" does burn...and burn very easily.

However, one can easily avoid this problem by putting

the stove on to a very low heat, while one is away.

Or buying a timer with a loud ring. With all the ad-

vantages that Visions, (and other glass or glass/cer-

amic) cookware affords, this precaution is a very

small bother. I myself have burnt three wonderful

Visions pots....yet I am buying more, and vowing to

be more careful!!!! (UPDATE....AND TIP! Yes, I've

burnt yet another wonderful Visions pot....but THIS

time, I decided to WAIT until the pot was COMPLETELY

COOL, before I tried to wash the burnt part off. IT

WORKED LIKE A CHARM! So, my (additional) advice now

is....if all else fails, and you forget to time your-

self or put on a lower light, and the pot burns

anyway.....take the pot off the heat, and WAIT AT

LEAST 2 HOURS -before washing in warm, soapy water. I then used Bon-Ami Cleanser....strong, but never

scratches. I suppose any dishwashing liquid will

work though. Just be sure to WAIT those two hours!

"Visions" and "Corningware" are now being made in

very limited quantities. I hope that they can again

be made in far greater quantities....new generations

are always being born, and the cooks amongst them

will always want the best. No matter what the price,

(and there are so many more expensive brands of pots

around...such as Calophan)....Visions will always be

the best, as far as I'm concerned. The best for

health, and value, and beauty, and convenience, (that

ability to judge what's cooking from a distance.)

"Perfection" is a term to use rarely, if ever. But

"Perfection" in cookware, and serving eqipment is

what Corningware and Visions is. I hope they keep

making it -and in larger and larger quantities --

forever!

P.S.: I see that this item has been reduced in

price from $120 to $79! At this price, it surely is

a bargain! If you are looking for a large stock or

cooking pot, this, in my opinion, is the one to buy!

I have several Vision pots, including this one, and am purchasing more. Great for soups, boiling water, cooking in general. I am careful, and never use it on high heat. The primary reason I bought this, is because it is the healthiest cookware to cook on. No leeching! Stainless steel pots will leech out Nickel, and esp if scratched. I do not cook with non stick pans, because of the chemical and harmful fumes it creates. Not to mention that once it scratches, and it starts to flake, you are consuming that.

Visions is perfect for me. I haven't had any cracks or breaks, and have been careful with it. It is hard to find to purchase though. Cannot find it in stores here.

These simple cork trivets are perfect for any dinner gathering. I have a very expensive antique dining room table and I am always concerned about leaving heat marks. These trivets are great on their own or slid under the tablecloth. They are easy to wipe off and do not wear as fast as hot pads do.

Just what I expected, not too thin, The large one works perfect for my crockpot! Can be wiped off too.

This device fit great on my new Brinkmann grill. It was easy to install, needing only the addition of a couple of flat washers because the heads of the original screws were larger than these. When I installed the batteries and tried it out, nothing happened. Seems these may have been in storage for some time so the electrical connections were a bit oxidized because as I was troubleshooting it started to work on its own. My only wish is that instead of incandescent flashlight bulbs it used LEDs, but I would expect that with infrequent use the 6 C cells will last a long time. Made in USA!

Just what i needed to get my trusty revere ware repaired. Having one handle break off my dutch oven pan was a bummer, they live on now for another 15 years!

This replacement handle is definitely not made of the same material as the original handles on my pot. The handles themselves heat up and require potholders and the plastic even bubbled from the stove and oven heat. I was so disappointed!

Bought this a while ago to repair mom's kitchen ware. I tried it on a nameless pot, but fit well enough. Used the original screw. No complaints.

Same as came on the pots when brand new. The bakelite handles seen to deteriorate in time in the oven and get porous and were ready to crumble. not the Stainless steel pots look new!

Made a 5 quart pot of veggie soup in my old Revere Ward dutch oven, and was finally able to lift it off the stove burner with ease since it now has new sturdy, replacement handles on it instead of just two long screws sticking out. Have not tried it inside the oven, yet.

Cakes bake beautifully when I use these...the edges of the cake aren't dry and crusty, and there is no dome in the middle. These particular strips -with a Velcro closure instead of a pin -are hard to find, but they're definitely worth the effort. Why fuss with a pin when you can have Velcro?

These strips are PERFECT for making cakes that stack well! I have been baking cakes for a long time, ending up with lopsided creations that I had to maneuver to make a layered cake. No more...these strips, each one around a cake pan, make baking layered cakes super easy! The layers come out nice and flat without having to cut the cake into shape. Highly recommended!

I've used these with both silicone and metal cake pans and they're wonderful! Cake tops come out flat and even, and the edges are moist, not dried out and too brown. I'm ordering more to give to my cake-baking friends. Sure beats cutting off the tops of the cakes to make them nice and flat for layering! I highly recommend them.

Honest reviews on Regency Evenbake Cake Strips

Baked three identical 9" butter cakes in a non-convection oven using two different pan types. Without going into too much detail, my conclusions are thus:

If you use dark cake pans (which have a tendency to get too hot too fast), these strips really help slow down the baking process so the sides of your cake don't set and brown before the middle has a chance to rise. My cake was definitely flatter with the strips than without.

If you use light-colored pans, these strips don't help as much and may require some baking time/temp adjustments. I tend to bake layer cakes in light-colored, heavy gauge aluminum pans (Parrish Magic Line 9 x 2 Inch Round Aluminum Cake Pan to be exact), which absorb and distribute heat slower and more evenly, and the strips slowed that heat distribution down a little TOO much. At 350F, the cake baked too slowly and fell flat because the baking powder had been cooked off before the batter proteins had time to set. I also ended up having to bake that cake for about 7 minutes longer to get the middle done and ended up with a cake that was dry and dense (but flat on top!). The second time around, I bumped the baking temperature up to 375F and that seemed to fix most of the problems I had before.

However, I haven't used the strips since these three test cakes. Why? I find that I get perfectly good flat tops by just spinning a batter-filled pan around on the counter a few times right before baking so the batter piles up on the sides and starts off higher than the middle. Just be sure not to get carried away and spin the pan off the counter (definitely not speaking from personal experience...cough).

I love these when I bake cakes. Sadly it won't fit on a full sheet cake pan, but for round cakes and smaller square and rectangle pans it works perfect as long as the cake pans are straight sides up and down and not slanted. If they are slanted a bit this item doesn't like to stay on the pans when transferring into the oven. Still worth getting.
