Best Rachael Ray Stoneware 2-3/4-Quart Covered Bubble and Brown Deals

After spending the long weekend cleaning out kitchen cabinets, getting rid of old dishes, pots, and containers with lost covers, I purchased this as a replacement. I love it. It's a beautiful, warm tomato red color. The casserround is roomy enough for cooking large portions, or making a dinner for two. A big selling point with me was the handles. Previously I had 15yo French white Corningware. This is a huge improvement. This is my second piece of RR's stoneware collection. Next up for me is the Bubble and Brown 2piece set.

Pro's:

*reasonable price

*great color options instead of bland white or your grandma's floral pattern

*sturdy

*versatile

*easily stored

*relatively lightweight

*cleans up like a dream

Con's:

None for me.

I roasted chicken there with potato. Love this casserole. Chicken came out tender, juicy and full of flavors. Very easy to wash (I washed by hand). The handles are brilliant.

Best dish for reheating food!

Looks great, easy to clean, great to serve for taco nights when you have multiple dishes to serve and to store and reheat food.

Honest reviews on Rachael Ray Stoneware 2-3/4-Quart Covered Bubble and Brown

I was buying this as a gift for my daughter-in-law and have always been leery of brands I have never heard of, especially when buying a gift, so I went with the famous Rachael Ray. We could not be happier!

It is beautiful, the color is bright and shiny. The stoneware makes for even heating and cooking.

It not only looks great but the design is very useful. A good solid handle on top to easily lift the lid off. A nice LARGE handle on each end to make it easy to pick up and serve from.

Just a quick comment (not at all a negative) is to make sure this is the size you are looking for, it not huge. I will be back to purchase a much larger one soon, and will definitely go with Rachael Ray again.

I really like this casserole dish and used it for the first time for Easter. I am a little disappointed that it cannot be used on the stovetop, but I knew this when I bought the product. I really like the color and simplistic look of this dish, and then it also comes with a nice lid on top. It hold about the same amount as your normal 8X8 and seems to cook the same also. The only drawback to this is that it is kind of heavy, so if you have arthritis I wouldn't suggest it unless you are able to go to a Bed Bath and Beyond or JCPenney to feel how comfortable you are with it. I brought this baby to my mother in laws and everybody commented on it and asked where I got it. My mother in law likes it so much she wants me to get her one for mother's day in yellow. Anyway, I would definitely suggest to a friend!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Some quick background about me... I cook almost daily. Prior to this Cuisinart set, my daily pans were a set of commercial non-stick anodized aluminum and a few pieces of Calphalon copper cookware (chef's pan, 3 qt. saute). I see my pots and pans as tools and not really works of art so my copper pans lost their brilliance years ago.

I wanted to write a review immediately but decided to make sure I got some real cooking time with them to see if there were any surprises. This review represent about two weeks of twice daily cooking experience with the Cuisinarts. I'll try to break this review down into the various components. If you have questions, I'll do my best to keep up with this review to answer them. I'll try to keep basic kitchen knowledge to a minimum but I feel that for a proper review a few things have to be mentioned. I'll sometimes compare them to my Calphalons when I feel it's appropriate.

Pans Interior & Cooking:

* If you're used thin bottom steel pans and/or teflon coated pans, be prepared for a very different way of cooking with these. It's not difficult. In fact, I'd say it's much better for most styles of cooking. But you'll almost definitely go through an adjustment period.

* The inside steel cooking surface on the Cuisinart's is very smooth. So much so that the sides of the skillets are like a mirror. The other interior surfaces are a nice "brushed" finish.

* As I mentioned earlier, these are not "non-stick" pans but cooking an omelette was easy with a generous amount of butter. Flipping the entire omelette with a flick of the wrist was effortless. Eggs are probably the only thing that I would still consider using non-stick for but, as mentioned, it's entirely doable if you want to stick with just this set.

* Heat distribution seems to be excellent. I don't have any fancy scientific equipment to measure but melting butter on the pans doesn't show any particular spots burning the butter faster than any other spots.

* The edges of all of the pots and pans are flared so pouring is super easy with hardly anything dripping down the edge of the pan. This is very well done.

* Cleaning has been effortless. A quick shot of dish detergent and some soaking when I encounter something stubborn is all it takes to clean them up. I haven't had any major burning incidents to test charred remains but if I do, I'll update this review. (If they're anything like my other coppers, it will take a little elbow grease to scrub out really bad burns but you probably won't be burning things often because these pans do such a good job of distributing the heat. Just something to keep in mind.)

* The bottoms of the pans are perfectly flat. No distortions.

Handles:

* I was initially concerned about the handles getting hot. In my first two evenings with the pans, I noticed that the handles would get noticeably warm when I cooked. However, both of those nights consisted of recipes where the pans weren't heated for long periods of time.

Fortunately, in the last few days, I've been able to test with longer cook times. The 5qt. saute pan served up a nice curry and was under heat for an hour while things simmered. The handles performed fine. They still get warm but never to a point that was anywhere near "hot."

* Unfortunately, the handles are very uncomfortable to use. The ends of the handles are very squared off and if you are in the habit of reaching near the end of the handle the sharp corners dig into your palm. I do not like this at all and feel that the more contoured end of my Calphalons are much better designed.

* On the flipside, the squared ends allow for a nice sized holes which makes hanging them from a hook super easy.

* This isn't necessarily a big con but I also feel like the rivets used to hold the handle to the pans are a bit wimpy looking. I doubt it will affect long term performance but it's definitely something I noticed right away.

* The handles have a nice curve to them which your thumb rests in. This makes it very easy to turn the pans to pour things from them.

Lids:

* The lids are my biggest complaint, by far. They feel so thin and flimsy. This is not something that has impacted the cooking in any way. However, every time I wash them I am concerned about placing them vertically in my drying rack. It feels like one misstep or accidental push while they're wedged in the rack and the rim of a lid might bend.

* A quick comparison to show how drastic this is: I weighed the Cuisinart 5qt saute pan lid. It weighs 540grams. I weighed the Calphalon 3qt saute pan lid. It weighs 538grams. There is a considerable size difference between the two but they weigh almost exactly the same. Unfortunately, I don't have a micrometer to measure the thickness of these but holding the two lids together you can visibly see how much thinner the Cuisinarts are. For a set of pans this expensive, I do expect every part to feel more sturdy. This complaint extends to every lid in the set.

* The lid handles are nice and big. They are easy to grasp even if you're using a towel or heat pad to protect your hands. The shape is easy to work with. Zero complaints about the lid handles.

Upkeep/Finish:

* Out of the box, these pans are gorgeous. The copper is beautiful and spotless and shines like a mirror.

* If you've never cooked with copper pans be prepared for a color change after the first few heat cycles. They will start to change to different colors. Mine took on a beautiful purple tone. If you like this, great. You're done. If you want that beautiful copper color back you will need to occasionally use a mild copper cleaner. Cuisinart included a nice quick instruction on how to do this with some household materials (vinegar, salt, etc). There are also premade cleansers you can buy. They'll all work fine and get the shine back. I mention this because I've read many people who are new to copper pans think that something is wrong with the pans or they've messed them up. This isn't the case, it's just how copper works. If you find this troubling, you might consider pans with an aluminum or steel exterior.

Size/Selection:

* Overall, the selection of pan sizes is nice. It's a pretty personal decision what pan sizes you need. I am very excited to have a 5qt. saute pan. It will hold *a lot* of food and because it's so wide you can reduce things very quickly. I also love the 8" skillet. It's easy to wield and even my rather tiny wife can flip it easily. The sauce pans are a bit small in my opinion but, again, this comes down to your personal needs. There is nothing "wrong" with the sizes. The 8qt. stockpot is pretty much the gold standard size for these types of pots.

* Personally, I feel the steamer basket is a bit of a waste. You can pick up a cheap steamer almost anywhere and it will be just as effective. I wish they'd taken the steel from the steamer and used it to make thicker lids.

General Thoughts/Final Conclusion:

* A very good set of pans for the money. I am sure they will serve me well for decades to come. My two biggest complaints are the uncomfortable handles and the razor thin lids. If not for those, I'd easily give five stars.

* Should you get this set of copper pans or a competitor's set which costs almost exactly the same? There's no easy answer here. If I were making this decision, I'd take a close look at the individual pieces and decide which sized pans I need the most and use that as my main criteria. The quality of all the cookware in this range has gotten incredibly close to each other.

Anything I missed about this set? Please leave a comment and I'll do my best to get you an answer.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Took me a while to do a comprehensive review of the Cuisinart CTP-11AM Copper Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 11-piece Cookware set. Running the whole 11-piece cookware set into its cooking paces take a while to do, but the cooking results will satisfy your cooking endeavors. It is the best cookware I have every used.

My impressions:

DESIGN: the Cuisinart CTP-11AM Copper Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 11-piece cookware set is designed just like any other modern, conventional cookware as far as the shape is concerned. But this is where the comparison stops as far as shape design for there is one VERY HUGE difference -the exterior (bottom and side walls) of the cookware (except for the steamer) is coated with Copper. If you remember your periodic table of elements, Copper is a metal with a very high thermal and electrical conductivity. This means that when this cookware is subjected to conventional household cooking heat, whether it is gas or electric, it absorbs heat pretty quickly. With the Cuisinart CTP-11AM, heat is distributed evenly on the cookware's exterior, allowing the food to cook without raising the heat. The high thermal conductivity of the copper coating allows you to utilize high heat at a lower setting. The cookware's interior surface is reflective, non-stick stainless steel. There is a drawback however with the surface: you have to use plastic utensils to avoid scratching the surface.

COOKING: the Cuisinart CTP-11AM Copper Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 11-piece cookware set can be used in both gas and electric burners. With the exterior copper coating on the bottom and sides of the CTP-11AM, it is even oven-safe up to 500 degrees. My real-world cooking test exceeded my expectations in every way. The pans does not take a long time to heat and the heat is distributed evenly throughout cookware. Low heat setting is all it needs. The copper coating utilizes and absorbs heat easily and evenly, cooking time is reduced considerably.

MAINTENANCE/CLEANING: the non-stick stainless steel interior of the Cuisinart CTP-11AM is very easy to clean: hot water, dish washing soap and a soft sponge is all it takes to remove any after cooking residue. To preserve the stainless steel finish, do not use pads that are metal or has rough surfaces. If the residue is tough to remove, let the pan sit on hot water to soften the residue. Once softened, rub a soft sponge with detergent and rinse it with hot water. This should remove any kind of tough residue. Cuisinart does not recommend cleaning the Cuisinart CTP-11AM in a dish washer because of the abrasive chemicals in detergents made for dish washers.

I am very happy with how the Cuisinart CTP-11AM Copper Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 11-piece cookware set has performed and exceeded my expectations. Aside from the fact that it is sturdy and well made, it is also appealing the copper coated exterior easily catches your eye. I am sure this set will last me a long time. Highly recommended!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program We have been happily using our Cuisinart pots and pans for the past three weeks. The first thing I noticed about quality cookware is how heavy it is and how well built it is. These are beautiful pieces that look great in our kitchen. The great thing about cooper is that it is a better heat conductor than the $20-a-piece pots and pans we have owned the last 10 years that we bought from a retail store. We feel like we are using real cookware now and our food cooks faster and more evenly.

The stainless steal makes clean up a breeze as well. We have no complaints about this set and are very happy with our purchase.

Honest reviews on Cuisinart CTP-11AM Copper Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 11-Piece Cookware

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is probably the end all cookware set for someone who puts a premium on the aesthetic quality of your posts more than anything else. These are the show-stoppers, the big kahunas, the pots you want hanging from a cage over a center island in that million dollar house you are currently staging. Real estate agents should definitely have a set of these in their trunks. I've never really considered storing pots and pans outside of a cabinet but these can become the centerpiece of your kitchen.

The copper changes color after some use and I've been Bar Keepers Friend® Cleanser & Polish: 12 OZ to keep them clean. These pots heat up real quick and I can't tell if they are non-stick or not. Food does not seem to really stick them but they aren't as food-free as non-stick pots that I have so I'm not 100% sure. These take a little bit of getting used to because you don't need to cook on high heat with them. The copper conducts the heat throughout the whole pan and it does its job very well; these heat up quick. The handles aren't super comfortable but they never get too hot which is nice. The lids are thin which is a bit off putting but I don't think actually affects anything. Glass lids on copper might be strange but I do like being able to see into whatever I'm cooking.

I've never had a small 8 inch skillet before I actually like using for cooking things like a single chicken breast or two sausages, very handy. Also the angles of the handles coming out of the pan are perfect for hanging.

Overall I'm very happy with this set and would recommend them to anyone willing to put in a bit of work to keep the exterior clean.

Both my wife and I are very happy with this pan. We initially wanted a 1 quart pan but only a 1 1/2 was available (Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless 1-1/2-Quart Saucepan with Cover ). bought it and was totally delighted with it so it was a no-brainer when this smaller pan was released.

We like the contour shape and glass cover (has stainless rim and handle). Works great for all of our small cooking chores. Cleans easily and no discoloration due to cooking or heating.

Totally satisfied. Handsome functional pan that just looks neat.

Great size for small amounts. The cover fits perfectly. I was looking for a small saucepan that didn't have the pour spout on the side. The handles do not get hot even when the pot and contents are very hot.

I've only had the pot a couple of months and use it generally for things like couscous and oatmeal. It already has pitting in the bottom. I have a set of Cuisinart pots that are wonderful. I don't know why this one, which I purchased separately, seems to be of poorer quality.

This saucepan does not work on induction cooktops in spite of the product description on Amazon saying "and is safe for all stove tops (including induction)." The box confirms that it is not for induction cooktops. I had to return my order.

This pot is great for warming sauces, etc. We have a glass top stove, so it works well. I can see why it might be a bit difficult for a traditional coil top stove as the pot could tip easily. Don't buy it and the 14 ounce melting pot, though. They're the same thing! Just buy the 14 ounce melting pot unless you want the brush and receipe book.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I love Lodge cookware, and this melting pot is very versatile and robust. The brush, however, did not meet my expectations; It's very small and flimsy, and so is the "book". Be careful when using this pot in the oven, as mine tipped over twice; You have to make sure it's properly balanced on the grates.

Best Deals for Lodge LMPK Sauce Kit

If I were to buy this all over again I would get just the pot without the book and brush (both of which I have almost never used). The pot itself is great for melting anything and quickly heating up small amounts of food (especially for kids/babies). I wish the bottom were a little wider and/or the handle a bit shorter so the pot would be more stable. Also I wish that it came with a lid. If I have to replace this in the future I would probably go with the ceramcor xtreme 16 oz saucepan with cover. It looks similar to this but with a shorter handle and a lid! It's not cast iron though.

The reason that I bought this pan was because I needed a good/cheap frying pan to take camping. The light frying pans that I found in the specialty stores were expensive, and the bottom and non-stick coating did not look robust enough for frying. This little pan seem to fit the bill. It weighs 7.4oz, and the griddle with the low-rise edges give me enough room to use a spatula and fry two eggs. The back high edge allow me to spatula/spoon stuff up against it. I have used it at home for daily cooking chores and it works great. It feels balanced on top of my Snow Peak portable burner.

This square, mini, non-stick griddle is just perfect for singles, single grilled cheese sandwiches, single french toast, single eggs, and just about everything you want to grill and even fry for a single serving. Rachael Ray Tools 3-Piece Spatula Set 'Lil' Devils', Green
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

Having bought and pitched several spatulas over the years, I looked around for reasonable spatulas that don't suffer from the issues of "cheapies" .. This is a pretty nice offering. Its reasonably priced under $10 for high-temperature spatulas. This seems to be a signature of the practically-minded Rachael's tv personna.. most "famous" people place items at PREMIUM pricepoints.

The material that scrapes the pan (some silicon compound) is a really just too stiff.. I find that it won't "bend to conform" to the container unless you really apply some muscle to it. Unless the pan is pretty smooth, these won't scrape the surface clean.. I might suggest you instead take a look at the very well-rated iSi Basics Silicone Wide Spatula, Red

I have owned these for a couple of years now and they are no worse for the wear, however now the end will slip off the handle if you pull on it.. It isn't at this point a problem as it slips back on and doesn't fall out in use.. They seem to be "pressure fit" instead of glued. I own the "Rachael Orange" ones if it matters, but they're the same.

When they stick around $10-ish price I think they're reasonable. I note that the price can jump around so watch for value. I also might recommend looking at others such as Wilton 570-1121 Easy Flex 3-Piece Silicone Spatula Set, Blue

I'm not wild about these. I find that they're a bit too big and heavy for what I wanted. They do seem to be well made, but compared to other similar spatulas I've had these are very THICK and the sizing on them seems a bit off.

I've had these spatulas for a little while now. I like the fact that they don't stain and their are three different sizes. The small size is a little too chubby and doesn't fit well into smaller mouth jars. A longer, thinner spatula would be more useful. I also have a few small knicks already and I don't use the them very much.

Oster 8-pc Black Aluminum Cookware Review

Oster 8-pc Black Aluminum Cookware

This cookware was ordered for use in Baghdad, Iraq in what can best be described as primitive kitchen conditions. Since it will be left behind here, tried to locate a modestly-priced nonstick set that had all of the essential sizes with matching lids. I opted for this one because of good prior experiences with the Oster brand and the number of pieces included (dutch oven w/lid, two sauce pans w/lids, two frying pans). Free shipping from Amazon was a bonus. The set was impressive right out of the box the vessels aren't flimsy and have good weight and balance; the handles are solidly riveted with very comfortable grips that don't get hot during cooking; the glass lids are vented and fit tightly. The dutch oven is large enough to produce meals for 4-6 people and its lid also fits the large frying pan, an added plus. The set has been used rigorously for nearly a month (three-plus meals a day) and other than the usual discoloration of the pan bottoms caused by gas flames, shows no wear or flaking of the interior at all. The nonstick surface is outstanding cheese, eggs, fruit sauces and other normally difficult to dislodge foods slide out easily. Cleanup has been simple with just a sponge, soap and hot water. In this environment, that is a particularly important benefit. The total cost per piece with lid averaged $12.00, a considerable value over lower-quality products at similar prices.

I found this steamer in a store once and have never seen it since. I wrote to the company and they told me that they suppy Amazon, so I looked it up and there it was! The steamer is great I ordered two and so much better than similiar kinds with the little ring that always seems to disappear into the vegetables when you're trying to get them out. Plus, the leaves don't seem to fall out. I use my Progressive Easy Reach steamer several times a week and highly recommend it to anyone who likes to steam vegetables in a pan.

I bought this steamer because it has the extendable handle. I purchased two steamers. Before I used it, one of the legs popped off of one of the baskets. I thought it must have been something I did and dealt with shoving the leg in every time I used the basket. The baskets fit well into my pans and was really easy to get out without burning myself. I only washed the baskets by hand as the directions indicated. Last night, I used one of my baskets for maybe the tenth time and noticed the handle was bent and ready to pop out and one of the legs fell off.

If you are trying to decide which steamer to go with, don't choose this one. I thought I would save an extra two dollars by going with this one instead of the silicone one. It was a big mistake. I am now going to buy the silicone one and am out eighteen dollars instead of two.

I've never reviewed an item before, but feel compelled to tell you that all of the legs fell off of this steamer within 4 months of purchase. Granted, we use the steamer a few times a week, but it should last a year at the very least. Buyer beware.

The best I've tried. The legs on it are much longer than usual, so you can put a fair amount of liquid in and not worry about it either drowning your veggies or boiling away before you get back. The telescoping handle is also a great feature.

A basic, simple cooking utensil made smarter.

I've tried numerous steamers. This one far surpasses them all. The feet are a bit longer and so the vegetables really steam. The stem in the center extends when you need it to so you don't get burned lifting the steamed food out of the pot, then retracts so that it fits easily into the dishwasher. This steamer fits in a double boiler or larger pot. I love it! No corners were cut in it's construction.

Fox Run 14-Inch Pre-Seasoned Wok
Customer Ratings: 3 stars

I bought this wok because my non-stick wok started flaking and I didn't want to season a carbon steel wok. After reading so many reviews about apartments filling with smoke due to seasoning a wok, I wanted something that I can start cooking with easily. The wok was nicely packaged when delivered and came with instructions on how to prepare it for its first time use. First, you have to cook off the food-safe clear lacquer coating by heating oil on it and rubbing the wok with paper towels (sounds A LOT like seasoning a wok...). The lacquer was kind of hard to get off in some places and I tried heating oil and rubbing four or more times. There still seemed to be a little lacquer left on the sides of the bottom no matter how hard i scrubbed (but you can't scrub it with anything hard because you'll "rub off the seasoned coating"). So I gave up and just decided to cook with whatever of the lacquer was remaining because I was tired of heating oil and the lacquer's supposed to be food-safe. Other than that, the wok seems to be fine now. Steaming and boiling foods is not recommended in the wok because it will "ruin" the pre-seasoned coating. You also cannot wash it with soap or it will "ruin" the coating, so you should rinse it under hot water, rub it with a soft sponge or something, dry it by heating it on the stove, and coat it with a little oil before storing it away. It's a bit high maintenance compared to a non-stick wok, but at least you don't have to replace it as often (unless it starts to rust because you ruined the coating.)

So I figured that perhaps the other reviewers were doing something horribly wrong with this wok and I decided to purchase it despite the bad reviews below.

Well, I knew that food may stick, since it's a carbon steel wok without any coating and while it's seasoned, it will need to be kept "lubed up" to work properly.

So when this thing arrived (the 2nd attempt as the first was missing the main handle that fell out of the box during shipping from Amazon) I followed the instructions attached and attempted to remove the "protective coating".

I heated some oil in the wok and tried to remove it but to no avail. The coating became gunky to the point that a oil coated paper towel was sticking to it leaving paper particles stuck to the coating. Wooden spatula was not helping either and the coating basically was stuck to the majority portion of the inside of the wok.

I finally gave up and tried lightly sanding it with a 600 grit sandpaper, knowing that since it's steel, I won't be harming anything anyway. What a surprise it was when after couple of strokes of the sandpaper, the surface of the sandpaper turned black and the blue hue of the "steel" inside the wok started giving way to a more familiar silverish color of the bare steel. I got really angry as apparently the blue hue turned out to be some kind of coating that covers the entire work. Worse, the coating was coming off as a black dust when sandpaper was used.

I didn't feel like returning this wok, since I expected a carbon steel, bare wok so I just continued with the sandpaper. After over an hour of hard sanding I finally got it to a shiny bare steel on the inside of the wok. We still cook in it and it actually is quite non-sticky when oil is used for stir frying.

If you're not prepared to sand down your wok, stay away.

Similair to another review, the food-safe lacquer coating was an unbelievable chore to remove even after multiple attempts on my gas stove--and following the accompanying instructions. Much of the lacquer is still there and gummy. I'm also suspicious that it's actually "food safe" lacquer (I don't believe everything manufacturers claim). It smelled much like the chemicals I've used when refinishing furniture.

In trying to get away from peeling non-stick surfaces, I selected this wok because of it's "pre-seasoned" surface and for it's flat bottom and big handles. It's a light, easy to handle wok and the price is affordable as well. However, upon arrival, the big handle was wobbly(helper handle firmly attached). After trying it a couple of times with fried rice and pad thai, I found the cooking surface to be sadly disappointing. Food sticks terribly and requires large volumes of oil yeilding a greasy finished product. I have seasoned 3 cast-iron skillets over the past 20 years, and though they're heavy, I think I'm going back to them and tossing this wok.

We followed instructions on how to get ready before first use. FORGET IT! It did it did not work.

WE had to do three times and the WOK now looks very old and not worth the time I researched to purchas it.

The item came without its own packaging...just thrown in a large box with the other items I ordered. It was also without the long handle. Was a gift and person who received it may have a handle from an old wok to use that would work. Just disappointed in general.

This is a wonderful stainless steel pan. It is big and has a large flat surface, which enables faster cooking. You can have a variety of uses for the pan, and cleaning is simple. Just soak the pan with dish soap and hot water for easy cleaning. The aluminum core enables heat to spread evenly and decreases both cooking time and energy consumption. For optimum results, do not use high heat.

The pan performs very well for simmering and slow cooking of rice pilafs, and sauces. I only wish that the inside of the pan was also 18/10 shining stainless steel. The brushed stainless steel center tends to leave faint water marks after washing. This is a great pan, and the only one you will need.

I have a griddle pan that lasted me 32 years, its warped and most the non stick is brown in the middle. This new griddle looks real nice for 12.99!Nice Non stick surface, the bottom has a circle pattern for even heating.Plus it has a warranty for 5 years!

well done, grilled cheese may toast again!!

Upon further inspection, around the edge there are spots where there is no non stick, you can see bare metal,so I took it from a 5 star to a 4,for shabby craftsmanship.Come on makers, you really think people want to see new stuff like that!!

I've been using a square aluminum griddle to make pancakes for years. The teflon wore off my last one, this was a great replacement.

Honest reviews on Bialetti Bialetti 11-Inch Buon Appetito Griddle, Square, Black

Omg, I didn't expect to upgrade my square griddle, just replace it. I am so pleased. It's lightweight, totally teflon, and a very nice looking item. The first time I used it the eggs came out perfect. The pan is coated evenly and has a radiant insert on the bottom with the Bialetti logo. Those eggs slide onto the plates. Bon appetit!

In reading the three (3) positive reviews available I was eager to try this pan out. For my very first use of this item, I was determined to make french toast and not have to drag out the 14" x 20" griddle I normally use. I happily placed it on the surface of my GE glass flat-top range and waited for the pan to heat up on medium heat.

It was then that I noticed a strange phenomena...the lip opposite the handle was rising up. It continued to lift up until it was approximately 5/8ths of an inch above the stove top. This was NOT gonna work. When I held the pan up to eye height I saw a most prominent bulge on the underside of the pan. Picture a ball cut in half with one half glued to bottom of the pan. Very poor design. It is going back to Amazon to hopefully return to the maker. I believe the manufacturer's "decorative" machining on the bottom of the pan has a great deal to do with warping of this pan under heat.

I'll keep looking for a better griddle and go back to using the PIA 14" x 20" griddle. This may work better with gas ranges with regular burners...it will NOT work on flat-top ranges...

I had recently purchased a new flat top stove and needed a good flat bottom Teakettle. Bought this Teakettle cause it matched my dinnerware and wanted a 2 1/2 quart Teakettle. Teakettle looked Great but soon realized that it was the worst pouring Teakettle I have ever used. Advertised as 2 1/2 quart and it does hold 2 1/2 quarts but has a sticker "Max Fill" that is just over 2 cups. After using it I assume the reason for the Max Fill sticker is that this Teakettle cannot pour without dripping when the level is over 2 cups. This kettle "SUCKS" I have to wipe the counter and bottom of Teakettle everytime I pour out a cup until the level drops below 2 cups. Think Corelle needs to go back to the drawing board on this Teakettle. Only gave it 1 star cause system would not let me give it a ZERO!

This kettle works well. It quickly heats water, and when the water begins to boil, the kettle starts to whistle very very loudly. It is somewhat difficult to clean. The cap is also hard to insert and remove; I usually just pour water in through the spout.

I like this teakettle. It holds alot, pours out well and looks pretty on my stove. The only flaw is the "whistle". Not my idea of a whistle. It sounds more like water through rusted pipes. What a strange sound it makes. I'm hoping I'll get used to it but the first time I heard it was quite startling, to say the least. LOL

Honest reviews on Corelle Coordinates 2-1/5-Quart Whistling Teakettle, Country Cottage

The kettle itself is pretty and solid. Water heats up quickly.

The whistle is a bit odd. It's not the usual ear-piercing screech that most kettles have. I have forgotten that I had water on a couple of times. Since the whistle is more subdued than other pots, I didn't hear it when I went upstairs (my fault as I know that you shouldn't leave the stove unattended).

Also, the spout does not pour water into a mug without some of it spilling onto the counter. I've tried to pour it a few different ways varying speed and angle of the kettle to no avail.

Overall I'm dissapointed with the function of this kettle but decided to keep it more for the decor than the use of it.

It has always leaked at the spout. The tea kettle is beautiful, but have not been happy about how it leaks at the spout. I send the first one that I received back becasue it was broken, so I just didn't want to go through sending something back again.
