I have purchased these 3 times so far. They are durable, flexible, and work great! The design hasn't gotten marred by cutting on it, and we use it quite often. Will definitely be buying more. I would love to be able to buy them in 3 packs (or more) at a little lower cost, so if you are the company seeing this, please take that into consideration! The designs are beautiful, and look like art prints!

Cheap Magic Slice Non-Slip Flexible Cutting Board, Party Size 7-1/2-Inch
This cutting board is not a board is paper thin so be sure you want it! I wasn't happy giving it as a gift, but my daughter actually likes it, although not as much as the thicker "real" cutting boards. Instructions say not to put it in the dishwasher but she does. I also found that trying to return an item like this costs almost as much for shipping as keeping it, which is why I didn't return it!

Cheap Ozeri Pro Digital Kitchen Food Scale, 1g to 12 lbs Capacity
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $25.00
Sale Price: $16.15

1. The EatSmart Precision Pro Digital at $25 (12/11) and the Ozeri Pro Digital at under $20 scales are IDENTICAL. I have both, having had the Eatsmart for at least three years, and the Ozari I bought as a gift and tested it. One is black with a chrome-finish platform. The other is silver with a chrome-finish platform. The black body looks as if it is black plastic throughout; the silver body finish might possibly have been painted or otherwise applied (It's description says Elegant Chrome, but just the platform and buttons have a chromed finish.) Personally, I prefer the black, available in both brands.
2. The readout is large; you don't need glasses. It is not backlit and is a problem only in a dimly lit room--solved by turning a light on.
3. The clear plastic covering the LED readouts is recessed slightly from the body of the scales. Flour, spices, and liquids could get on the clear cover and in the corners, creating an annoyance and the necessity of occasionally cleaning the recessed edges. The solution I found was to put a strip of clear packing tape over the whole lens area, flush with the scale body and not pushing the tape down onto the clear plastic. Cleaning is now a simple wipe.
3. The auto-turn-off period after registering a weight or momentarily tapping the weighing platform was within seconds of the three minutes specified, and differed between scales only slightly. This lag between registering a weight and auto turnoff is extremely important; do not buy any scale that does not have such a lag or does not specify a similar or longer lag time!
4. For light weights and for a five pound weight they each gave the same accurate results. A nickel (US) is 5 grams even, and can be used as a test of your sample's accuracy, Use one, then use ten, for 5 and 50 grams, and more if you wish. Regardless of WHERE on the platform I placed a stack of ten nickels, the weight registered the same for both scales.
5. Contrary to one popular review of the Ozeri: a) The scale in fact turns off very easily: CLICK THE TARE BUTTON ONCE TO GET THE SCALE TO READ ZERO, THEN CLICK IT AGAIN TO TURN IT OFF! I confess it took me a month or so of using the scale before that pattern occurred to me. b) Treat the scale reasonably and it will last a long time. My Eatsmart version is still going strong.
6. The 5 1/8" diameter platform is sufficient for most uses, but when using a dinner plate to expand the platform size (taring out the plate's weight) I have to lower my head somewhat to "get at" the reading, because the edge of the plate hides the readout, preventing a reading from directly overhead. A larger diameter platform scale at times would be nice, but such would present a problem for convenient cabinet storage. Using a bowl instead of a dinner plate makes the readout easier for large volumes or weights.
7. The scales measure grams in one gram units, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. It measures ounces in units of .05 ounce (1/20 oz.), i.e. .05, 1.0, .15, .20 etc. Pounds are measured in units of .002 pounds. This is as much precision as you could possibly need in a kitchen.
8. The scales work fine with rechargeable batteries. Battery life is reasonable, regardless of the type of AAA battery you use.
9. Both scales came with a book of calorie equivalents.
10. I appreciate the large buttons and the reassuring audible click when they are depressed. Small point, perhaps, but that's how I feel about them.
11. Just the platform and buttons have a chromed finish on plastic. The "chrome" is not hard metal, though the pictures might lead one to think it is.
Things I've learned that you may find useful, though not relevant to any particular scale:
Using a scale guarantees me a consistent cup of coffee. Measuring coffee by volume can be deceptive, depending on the type of grind and type of roast. If kids argue over who is getting the bigger portions of a particular dish, give 'em the scale and let THEM adjust the quantities for "fairness"!* I've found that standardizing on a cup of flour of 4.8 oz works best with most recipes. If you measure by the level cup, you'll find that a "cup" can equal from 4.3 to as much as 5.4 ounces. 2 grams of loose tea equates with most teabags and the cruder measure of one teaspoon, commonly suggested for one to two cups of tea.
*OR, let the complaining child divvy up the food in equal portions, but the non-complainers get to pick before the complainer!
____________________________
I LOVE:
* I bought this on sale ($12), so I love the price.
* I love the simple means of zeroing out the tare. You can either put your bowl on the scale before you turn it on and it will subtract the weight of the bowl to start at zero pounds, or you can turn it on, place the bowl on the scale, and press the on/off/tare button to zero it out.
* It's simple to cycle through the units of measure: gram, kilo, ounce, or pound. Very cool!
* I don't know if it does this for every unit of measure, but when weighing pounds, the readout is precise to three (or maybe four--I forget) decimal places. That's almost too much information, but it shows me when the tare is off and shows me when the bowl is unbalanced and rocking.
____________________________
I DON'T LOVE:
* The picture makes it look like the base is brushed metal. It's not. It's very flimsy plastic. I doubt it will last more than a few years.
* It's hard to turn it off. I guess you're supposed to just leave it on and let it turn itself off. This leads to my next gripe.
* If it automatically times out and shuts itself off, you have to dump out all of your ingredients and start over. This happened twice while I was trimming meat. I dropped the finished meat in the bowl as I trimmed it. But if I waited too long it would timeout and turn itself off. If I turned it back on, it would assume that the whole bowl of meat was tare and zero out. So I had to dump out all the meat and reset the tare. After this happened twice, I just bounced the bowl occasionally if I hadn't dropped anything in recently.
I know a kitchen scale isn't much to get excited about, but I really like this one. I'm just sad that I know it won't last very long.

All I needed was an inexpensive kitchen scale that wasnt complicated to use. Once you get old, it seems that the most mundane things have gotten increasingly more complicated to use. This scale fit the bill and it did not dissapoint. Its a very simple scale that does what it does best. Its very accurate and consisten for its size and tare function isnt difficult to use. If all you're looking for is a nice simple scale to use, this is the one.Best Deals for Ozeri Pro Digital Kitchen Food Scale, 1g to 12 lbs Capacity
Last July I purchased an Ozeri ZK12 from Amazon. During the first week of December the unit failed and would not function at all. Up until this point it worked perfectly. I contacted Ozeri customer service and received a response within a day or two. They said they would replace the unit with a new unit at no charge. All I had to do was provide them with my Amazon order number, which I did. A new unit arrived about 2 weeks later and is working as intended. I am very pleased with the unit and the quick, hassel-free response from the vendor.Honest reviews on Ozeri Pro Digital Kitchen Food Scale, 1g to 12 lbs Capacity
This is a great kitchen scale. I have to weigh a lot of meat for homemade sausage. I've never had a scale that would weigh more than about three pounds of kitchen ingredients, so I'm really happy with this scale. I've weighed over ten pounds of meat (plus about a pound of tare for the bowl). That's probably the most I can fit in a steel kitchen bowl without the bowl getting wobbly and tippy. The scale is actually sensitive enough that the numbers start to fluctuate as the bowl gets unbalanced.____________________________

This is definitely a great scale! Measures in grams, kg, ounces, and pounds. Very accurate and easy to use. If you use your own bowl/plate to measure food out, all you have to do is set it on there, press the on/off button once and it sets it back to zero. I use it to weigh my food with the HCG diet and it works perfect! Would definitely recommend!Tuesday, October 21, 2014

My original set of Bialetti pans purchased seven years ago at Costco were made in Italy, and I love them. This pan was ordered to replace one of the pans that is used frequently and is showing its age. Unfortunately, not only is the new pan made in CHINA, but the side wall and base plate thickness is thinner. My email inquiries to Bialetti remain unanswered to this day, so I have no choice but to believe that their quality appears to have degraded. Looks like another corporation has succumbed to farming out their product manufacturing, as well as zero customer service. Makes me wonder how they would back up their so called Lifetime Warranty if put to the test when they don't even bother to respond to a simple inquiry. Good news is that Amazon quickly refunded my money when I sent this cheap product back.

I really like the style of this pan. I also like that you can use it in the oven. I have a recipe for Cajun chicken that calls for browning and then baking in the oven and this is perfect for it. You do have to be careful when you take it out of the oven though because the metal part on the handle gets too hot to handle. The metal part of the handle does not get hot when you cook on top of the stove. It is definitely non stick and very easy to clean.I always hand clean them. The ad says you can use metal utensils but the warnings on the wrapper it comes in does state otherwise and warns against using metal utensils. So, I won't use metal utensils. It has a nice hefty weight to it but not so much since I am a senior and don't like to use very heavy pans anymore. I now have all three sizes of Bialetti Arte Collection frying pans and am using them on a daily basis. The only con I can think of is that they don't come with a lid. I happen to have all three sizes of the lids (Glass) that I purchased for some other cookware that I have. I would have given a five star rating if it were not for the lack of a lid and the difference in the ad features and the warnings on the actual wrapper.Best Deals for Bialetti Arte Collection Cookware Saute Pan
This is a great pan. My friend bought me this set awhile back and it has been perfect. My son recently bought his first house so I went searching online to find the same set years later. I found it only from one vendor on Amazon, so I snatched it quickly! This pan didn't come with the set so I purchased it separately because I knew it would come in handy. Make sure to buy the 8inch pan as well, that is the one we use the most for eggs, grilled cheese, pancakes, etc.Honest reviews on Bialetti Arte Collection Cookware Saute Pan

I bought the Good Cook loaf pan because it's nonstick, tough, and it has a lifetime warranty. So far, I'm happy with it. I used it to make sourdough loaves and my loaf fell right out. Compared to two other regular loaf pans, the loaf in this one seemed to cook a little bit faster. It did cook evenly and well. Clean up is as easy as throwing it in the dishwasher. Nice loaf pan.

I ordered 2 to start and ended up getting 4 more because they're great! They don't burn like some cheap/thin pans do, they're easy to wash and seem to be good quality! I have LOVED having them! The nice thing about 6 singles is that I can bake as many loafs as I want at a time, make different kinds of breads that cook for different times and take them out at different times! Reviews of Cajun Cookware Pots 2-quart Seasoned Cast Iron Sauce Pot - Gl10491as
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $40.63

I was a bit leery of purchasing this pot after reading some reviews noting poor quality, but since there seemed to be no other manufacturer of a 2-qt cast iron saucepan, I bought it anyway. I received it yesterday, and have not yet decided about returning it or keeping it.
The "quality" of manufacture is appalling. The lid has an unintended hole (!) in it near the handle, and the supposedly pre-seasoned finish is very uneven, and the interior has both smooth and rough areas. The handle has extraneous material on the edges leftover from the mold, and the lid is off-round. The handle has rust on it. The capper is that it's made in China, leading me to wonder if there are materials other than iron present (lead?) and what substance was used to "pre-season" it. I am switching to a lot of cast iron cookware to cook healthier food, and I'm concerned that this pot is a step in the WRONG direction!
I sure wish Lodge would make such pots, as their cookware quality is very good or excellent. The shape and size of this pot is exactly what I wanted for cooking such things as pasta sauce, but......I think I have now decided to return it.
The only reason I gave it a star is that the pot itself holds water--or at least I don't SEE any holes in it.
Just wash them with hot water and a plastic brush, put them on a low flame to get good and hot (and completely dry), and it's ready to go. If you need to scrub with dishwater, restore the finish simply by heating (as above), turn off flame, spray with "Pam" (or lightly oil) while hot, and wipe off. Ready to go for next time.
Cast iron mean even heating, better flavor, and more nutrition (minute amounts of iron migrate into the food). The only downside is they are a bit heavy, but the lip across from the handle means you can carry them with two hands.
I am slowly moving toward (almost) all cast iron cookware. Good stuff.
Sorry, but can't recommend this.

I love these sauce pans. They are pre-seasoned, so, unlike "raw" cast iron, they are already "stick-resistant." This is a good-quality product. First issue, thought this was made in Louisiana but actually made in China. Second issue, I did not want to waste it so i scrubbed very clean and seasoned. It responded to the seasoning process (same as used on quality cookware by Lodge) by turning very sticky and flaky. I really wish Lodge made more products in this size, will have to go with stainless (US) or enamel lined cast iron (French).Sorry, but can't recommend this.

Kinetic Go Green Premium Nanosilver Food Storage Container Set Reviews

I have owned both the Fresher Longer (at Sharper Image when they are still around) and OsoFresh containers (from Amazon) for several years and they have been wonderful for me. As far as I can tell it is the same products that has changed name/company over time, but this latest iteration maintain the same high quality as the previous versions and the Nano Silver . As the other reviewer has commented the lips are interchangeable with the old containers and I like how the smallest container is now taller, which make it much more useful. The containers are well-built and use high-quality, very thick plastic wall all-around, which means it will not warp or deformed. It is spill-proof, microwaveable, dishwasher safe and freezer-safe, what more can you ask for?
UPDATED 10/26/11
For those of us who worries about BPA. These containers are BPA-free. I have just purchased my 3rd sets, not because the old containers are worn out, but rather they are working so well that my parents want a set of their own too. I am still using the original Fresher Longer set (yellow color) I bought from the Sharper Image store 5 years ago. The silicone seal and the 4 side tabs works just as well as day one in making the containers spill-proof.
June 2011 Had to update my review and remove a couple of stars. After some use, I am no longer as happy with them as I once was. My original review stated I would buy them again and recommend them. I would no longer buy them again and would no longer recommend them. They're just like all the other containers I've gotten over the years: good when they're brand new but their useful qualities deteriorate.
Problem #1: mold forming inside the silicone seal of the lid. Eww! Gross! I had to pick it out with a butter knife. Makes me wonder what microscopic yucky stuff is inside there infiltrating our food. So much for the antimicrobial attributes.
Problem #2: The lids no longer consistently and interchangeably fit. I've put them in the dishwasher on the top rack on occasion but mostly hand washed them. Sometimes the lids fit fine, other times they don't seem to line up. The lids can't be forced to closed. You have to try a different lid.
Stained by leftover pasta with tomato sauce after less than 24 hours holding the food, just like any other container.
I also find them a little hard to open when they are sealed. That isn't necessarily a product flaw, just my observation.
Unfortunately, about 9 months into owning and using them regularly, they all began to develop a disgusting buildup of black mold or mildew under the silicon seal in the lid. It appears that when moisture gets underneath the seal, there's no way for it to escape, and mold develops. I can't find a way to remove the seal, and I hesitate to bleach them since I use them for food and worry about chemicals seeping into the plastic. I'm afraid they'll all have to be thrown away.
Huge disappointment.

They come in sizes I find convenient, stack nicely, and I like how the lids fit (though it does require a little figuring out at first). They can go in the microwave if you unlock the lids.

I loved these storage containers for a number of months. They seal properly, don't leak, come in a variety of sizes, and the lids for many sizes are interchangeable.Unfortunately, about 9 months into owning and using them regularly, they all began to develop a disgusting buildup of black mold or mildew under the silicon seal in the lid.
Honest reviews on Kinetic Go Green Premium Nanosilver Food Storage Container Set
I ordered this item because of the nanotechnology and I do think that food stays fresh longer when using it. Red grapes were fresh after 2 weeks in the container. I do have a problem with the locking mechanism on them. Some of the lids are impossible to lock and I end up trying several lids to find one that locks on 3 or 4 sides. They require quite a bit of force to lock. I have a set of Lock and Lock containers and do NOT have this problem with them.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Kinetic Go Green Premium Nanosilver Food Storage Container Set
These containers have helped me lose 25 lbs! I can buy better produce at the warehouse store and it stays fresh long enough to use it (rather than throw away the remainders). I routinely keep celery 3-4 weeks and asparagus stays like just-picked for over a week. Strawberries will last a week if you don't wash them before storing them. Don't wash anyfresh fruit or vegetable before storing. I have had tomatoes last over a week in these just sitting on the counter! You'll be buying them as gifts next!Monday, August 4, 2014
All Clad Stainless Steel 3-Ply Bonded Dishwasher Safe Saute Pan Review

I own practically everything this company has ever made, even some pieces that haven't been made in years. I have cookware, utensils, canisters, you name it. I generally don't buy designer items, but I try to buy quality. This line has been one of the best investments in my home I've ever made.
Just a couple of months ago, after having a conversation asking if they'd examine some of my cookware (the bottoms on those pieces were not flat enough to use on my glass top range without spinning around), I mailed off 4 of my larger pieces.
Thanks to All Clad, I have brand new, non-spinning cookware items3 qt and 6 qt saute pans, an 8 qt stockpot, and a 12" frypan.
I found them to be very kind, and when it was all said and done, they replaced every piece from the over 17-year old set that I sent them without question or hesitation. They even included brand new lids for the 3 items I sent that use them without requesting the lids from my old cookware.
By that same token, I will continue to support All Clad, and just like they did for me, it will be without question or hesitation.
I have been cooking with cast iron for many years but, due to the nature of the material, one is limited in cookware offerings.
When I saw this 3 quart sauté pan on sale for $100, I went and bought one. I LOOOOOOVE it!!!
I cook with a gas stove and have always had to rotate my cast iron pieces while cooking in order to prevent hot spots. I immediately noticed that I didn't need to do that with the All Clad. I am amazed at how evenly the heat is dispersed. But that's not all the pan is sexy and a pleasure to pick up and flip. I can't do that with cast iron without getting tunnel carpal syndrome.
The final plus is being able to pick up the pan WITHOUT a glove. I can't tell you how many times I have burned myself unthinkingly grabbing a cast iron handle.
If you love to cook, get this pan. You will love cooking even more!
Now, if I can dump my cast iron off on to some unsuspecting soul on craigslist, I plan on picking up many more pieces of All Clad.
Cheers. Rudy.

This heats great. Sooo much faster you have to learn how to cook with it, especially if you use the lid. The handle is ok. Not really comfortable bur it does not get hot. Seems like fuller grip would give better leverage and comfort to lift pan.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for All Clad Stainless Steel 3-Ply Bonded Dishwasher Safe Saute Pan

Buy True Induction Stainless Steel Multi-ply Clad Dishwasher Safe
This is the very best pot and sauté pan I have ever owned! I recently moved last year into a new home and the kitchen has a glass top stove. I was frustrated for months because my old copper bottom cookware would not cook properly on the glass top stove. The pan would rock after it heated up and it took almost a half hour just to boil water. My Corning Ware was not much better. The only pan I already had was my cast iron fry pan and it worked well for cooking eggs and frying things.
After much research and lots of comparisons, I chose the True Induction Stainless Steel Multi-ply Gourmet cookware. Yes, it is expensive but is worth every penny I spent on it and I will treasure it forever. I can boil water in no time and cook much faster and no longer hate my glass top stove. Aside from all that, the pots are shiney and beautiful.

Cheap Non Stick Paella Pan
I really like this pan. I did my research before buying it and I'm happy I went with this pan. I use it for so much more then Paella! I have a large family so the size is great for us. I also love that it doesn't have a long handle sticking out to make it awkward to make it awkward to cook other things around since this pan kind of dominates the cooktop anyway. The only thing with this pan, and I have to constantly remind my husband whenever he cooks since he likes to "speed-cook" is that this can't be at very high temperatures without taking a chance that the non-stick will be compromised and possibly damaged. This pan is still in great shape after over a year of using it and we haven't had any issues with heat effecting it but I don't really use this pan on high and always watch over my husband's shoulder if he does grab this pan. This is the best pan for chili, jambalaya, paella, chicken and fried rice, and so much more!
Would be nice if it came with a lid to simmer!

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $83.00

This pan works as advertised. The advantages over a similar diameter saute pan are 1)the ease of getting a spatula around the curved bottom when stirring reductions or sauces, and 2)it reduces quicker than a sauce pan or saute pan since the disc bottom is smaller than the top diameter, and a good rolling boil is established for maximum rate of evaporation.
It has a tubular handle that stays cool when used on my electric coil stove elements. I haven't needed to use a pot holder so far. It has no hot spots. It cleans up easily with Barkeepers Friend or in the dishwasher. If you heat it on high while it's empty it it will get some dark spots, (you can scrub them out with Barkeeper's friend) but it hasn't warped.
America's Test Kitchens downrated it in comparison to the (almost 3 times as expensive) All-Clad because the Sitram disc bottom allowed some food to burn at the disc edge where it transitions into the plain stainless steel 'bowl'. I believe their observation, but it has never happened to me when using the pan. I usually reduce the heat to medium-high once I have got the pan hot.
For that reason the sitram gets a 4 star rating. If I were willing to spend $140-150 instead of $50, I might indeed go for the All-Clad or Demeyere 'straight gauge' stainless-aluminum-stainless laminated sauciers, but so far there has been no functional reason to do so.

Farberware Specialties Aluminum Nonstick, Platinum Reviews
This was a great buy. I was not sure what kind of quality this would be, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is not the high quality of the really high-end cookware like Emeril, etc., but it is good enough for everyday cooking.
I like the fact that this is light-weight because I had to sell my Emeril cookware because it was too heavy to lift when full of food. This construction has been good enough to hold a full pan, yet lightweight enough that I can hold it with one hand. I also like the fact that the lid on this is glass so that I can see what is cooking.
Plus, the non-stick coating makes clean-up really nice. It is dishwasher-safe like it says, too. That was one of the biggest selling points for me since I do as little hand-washing as humanly possible. I know other reviews of this cookware state problems with the non-stick coating, but I have had none after several uses. Maybe mine is a newer version.
The only dislike I have had is that the handle only has a thumb holding area that is provided to protect you from a hot handle. Although it has not gotten hot yet, and is not supposed to, I would feel safer with a covered handle.
Overall, this has been a real bargain. It has held up well and has been all I could want. In fact, I like it so well that I have purchased other pieces of this make. I wish there was a picture of it provided so that you could see the lid and have an idea of the size and construction, but it looks much like the Farberware Accents Covered Deep Jumbo Fry Pan, but smaller, of course.

This skillet is great compared to the crappy skillets I replaced with it. I love the non-stick surface and how my food cooks evenly. Cleaning the skillet is a breeze even if left in the sink overnight. However, unlike the product description, the handle DOES NOT stay cool when cooking on the stove top and I found out the hard way...ouch! Always keep some oven mitts nearby when handling this skillet.Best Deals for Farberware Specialties Aluminum Nonstick, Platinum
This is the best pan I have ever had. I bought it to replace one that I've had for eons and it just gave out. I used it to make rice and thought it was the best. Not so. This new pan that I purchased is THE BEST pan and my rice comes out better than it did before. I am still new at using the pan but if it cooks my rice the way I want it then I am sure everything else is going to be great as well. Please have no reservations on purchasing this pan as I am VERY satisfied. I am sure that you will purchase other sizes as well after using this pan.Honest reviews on Farberware Specialties Aluminum Nonstick, Platinum
I purchased the 14 pc set at Kohls and thought it was great until I noticed the nonstick finish was coming off of two of the saucepans. I had only used them a couple of times. It looked as if I had used metal utensils but I had used plastic. I didn't even cook on high. The skillets were okay when I returned the whole set (plus the larger skillet I purchased seperately), but I was afraid they would start loosing the finish as well.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Farberware Specialties Aluminum Nonstick, Platinum
I'm really happy with the Faberware Classic skillet. I purchased an 8-inch and a 10-inch skillet and I'm no chef but I the skillets seem to me to be good quality. They heat evenly and the best part is they are non-stick which means they are really, really easy to clean. Not only do they cook good, but they look nice as well and compliment any modern kitchen with their sleek, comfortable design.Tuesday, June 10, 2014
Buy OXO Good Grips Large Wooden Slotted Spoon
Excellent quality spoon. Much sturdier than I thought it was going to be when I saw the pictures. Am using it constantly in the kitchen along with the other wooden spoons I bought on Amazon. Great quality for the price! No complaints.
Update 3-7-2011: Well this spoon has traveled its way through lots of spaghetti sauce, soups, noodles, casseroles and so much more, while enduring countless washings in soap and water. All I can say is that after four years, I don't think this spoon is ever going to wear out! I keep it in a stainless steal canister on my kitchen counter top along with the wooden hammer and other wooden utensils I bought like this one and for over four years, I sure have gotten value for my money. This spoon should be wearing a cape and cowl given how well it has stood up to such a grueling four year trial in my kitchen!
I can't speak to the longevity of this particular spoon, but I have some regular Oxo spoons that are probably 7+ years old, which have been in the dishwasher probably twice a week since I got them, and they are holding up fine. They have turned a little darker and the color has dulled a bit, similar to what happens to anything wooden that gets left outside for a long time, but they still perform the same as the day I bought them. So, if those spoons are any indication, I would suspect that this one will last nearly a lifetime because slotted spoons don't get used nearly as much.

Bought this for my enameled cast iron dutch oven, since you can't use metal for those. I've used the regular Oxo spoons for years, but I needed a slotted one this time because I only had a metal one. I've been a wusthof fan for a while. i knew when buying these they would not be the same as the classic series. and i got about what i expected. they look well made but the blades are rather thin all the way through. this allows for quite a bit of flex while cutting. it made it tricky to cut straight as the metal would flex and get off track. not a big deal to me for just little things. but something to be aware of.nice light knife set. can't wait to get my hands on a full classic set.
