This container box is great, it really does hold 100 chopsticks. I bought it so that I could organize my disposable chopsticks for both easy access when needed and for easy storage. If you buy one though, I would recommend that you wash it first before using it.

I Love how this container can be stacked and the disposable chopsticks fits perfectly. No more Ziploc bags to store them.

This pretty well completes my collection of Chef's Classic cookware. It arrived nicely packaged and undamaged. I have a small range so I particularly favor this pan over the long-handled 12" skillet with helper handle. Cleanup is also easier since the pan, without the longer handle, will sit flat in the sink.

I continue to believe that, other than All-Clad (USA), Calphalon Contemporary (China), and Anolon Advanced (Thailand), there is no better brand of stainless steel cookware. The reader should note that the first 3 have an aluminum core wrapped by stainless on each side and, unsurprisingly, each is far more expensive than the Cuisinart Chef's Classic line, with its heavy aluminum bottom disk.

This pan, at $24.95, is a bargain that will not last much longer. It should make a wonderful Christmas gift to the most discerning of chefs.

Cuisinart has two different grades of cookware. I've bought a couple of sets and seven or eight seperate pieces of what used to be called Chef's Classic over the last five or six years, and I love it!. One time I mistakenly ordered a set of the cheaper lighter weight pans. I quickly returned the set. That is what this pan is. I ordered it, and I'll keep it, but it's far inferior to what I already have. This is not nearly as well made. I see they now have a MultiClad Pro line... Seems as if they changed the names.

I've had this product for a month now, from Amazon. Thank You!

This pan is great for casseroles, paella, chicken & dumplings, veal marsala, etc. It's manufactured to the same standards as the rest of the Classic line, with the exception of the handles. If one inspects the image closely, it's obvious that the width of the handles parallel to the rim are narrower than that of the helper handles on companion products; however this does allow more space for oven mitts and potholders, which I enjoy as it's generally a single move from oven to table.

Of particular note, the cost of a domed twelve inch lid of this diameter direct from Cuisinart is $60 alone. The lid on this pan will fit any Cuisinart Classic pan with a model number ending in "-30" including the twelve inch frying pan and the 5.5 quart saut? pan. So if one needs to gain head space, allow for expansion, or configure an ad hoc Dutch Oven this is a bargain price.

For this product, I consider the lid to be less than half price and the pan to be free. I'm now a satisfied owner of twenty-four pieces of the Cuisinart Classic line. This may be the last, depending upon what Amazon presents in the future.

Honest reviews on Cuisinart 725-30D Chef's Classic Stainless 12-Inch Everyday Pan

This is an incredibly useful and versatile pan, and attractive enough to both cook and serve from. I purchased it specifically for bringing to potluck dinner parties, and used it the first day I received it to make jambalaya. The heat distribution was lovely, nothing stuck while I was sauteeing the veggies, and the rice was fluffy and evenly cooked no scorched spots.

I've been using Cuisinart cookware for almost eighteen years, and while the products have gone through some disappointing phases, this one is a sound bargain and worth well more than twice the price.

I got this pan on kind of an impulse, after seeing all of the positive reviews and the reasonable price. The short version of this review is that its good; very good.

I should note, however, that given all of the positive reviews, you shouldn't assume its just a magical pan (though it actually is) when you first get it.

The truth is that the pan by itself is just mediocre, and it does require that you follow the tried and true steps to keeping your food from sticking to stainless steel cookware (just heat your pan up for a few minutes, and add cold oil, and when you add your proteins, make sure you don't let them sit on the pan for the first 10-15 seconds of cooking, and you'll be good to go). The pan itself is beautiful and shiny, but its not the most conductive pan, and the large size makes it so that you get cold spots around the edges. Also, because the pan is designed with a multi-layer bottom rather than being multi-ply, the sides won't ever really heat up. These things, however, are irrelevant, because you're not just buying a pan, you're buying a pan AND an amazing lid.

This pan's forte is cooking large, saucy dishes. I've found that its my new favorite pan for saucy pastas, and the green curry i made in the pan last night was the best i've ever made. Because it is a big pan, you can fit all of the saucy goodness and vegetables and other things you'd like to fit, but because its shallow, it'll get those sauces to a simmer very quickly (like i said, the center of the pan simmers while the outside stays cool, at least on my electric cooktop, but its still overall much faster than any pot). Because the pan doesn't conduct heat all the way to the outsides, it requires a bit of stirring, but its not difficult, like gently folding your sauce in on itself.

The real magic happens, though, when you move from the sauté and reducing your sauce to the part where you just want it to simmer. At this point, you might put the lid on, and some really great chemistry happens to make your dish come alive. Because of the lid's shape, the steam rising from the dish gets redirected to the edges of the pan, and will get your whole dish simmering and melding flavors together while keeping your protein from drying out.

The pan is really beautiful, and once you're done cooking, you'll probably just want to bring it right to the table, because it really does look that good.

As far as cleanup goes, I've found that I end up deglazing the pan to make some type of sauce, so anything that was stuck when i started cooking is long gone by the time i'm done, and the slight discolorations that I've had from occasionally burning something in the pan (oops!) were taken care of with a little barkeeper's friend, no sweat.

This is a great pan, and its added a whole new level of flavor to my curries and pasta sauces. It feels like its going to last a long time in my kitchen!

I've had pasta pots in the past, and while I've liked them, I LOVE this one. The top is secure and I don't need to search for pot-holders to drain it because the handles stay cool!! It holds a pound of spaghetti without breaking, and without having to add oil. And even better, it cleans effortlessly! I recommend it.

I was apprehensive about purchasing this product because a couple of people said that the lid didn't fit...It fits fine. There is a trick to the lid and it explains why it is made this way, so that the lid doesn't come flying off when you tip it upside down. It isn't a type of lid that you just flop on top and tip over. It has a lip on each side of the lid and you must line those up with the side of the pot and almost twist the lid into locking/secure position. Anyone that says the lid doesn't fit on these reviews didn't read the instructions or they are completely clueless. As soon as I opened the package I saw those on each side and it took me 2 minutes how to figure out how the lid goes on. Easy Peasy.

The color is SO PRETTY too! Much nicer in person. I am very very happy with my purchase. I haven't used it yet. It's almost too pretty to put on the stove and use. But it is very lightweight and I'm sure it will be perfect.

This is a quality pot. It replaces our own, very similar one, which we had for over ten years...and which we compromised by not always using the proper teflon tools. . The color is brighter than I would like...but it was the pot that I was after not the color...and its size and design and top with drain holes makes making pasta so much eaiser and safer too.

Honest reviews on Bialetti Trends 5-Quart Pasta Pot, Turquoise

The lid did not open and close properly. it got stuck and the last thing I wanted to be doing is struggling with a pot of boiling hot water. The 2nd one I got had the same problem so it must be an issue from the manufacturer. Unfortunately this seems to be the only brand of pasta pot on the market. So i jut bought a new pot and kept my old strainer top that fits it.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Bialetti Trends 5-Quart Pasta Pot, Turquoise

I've had mine for several months now, and while I find it useful for doing what it's designed for, it's not a well-made item. The lid is difficult to lock on and get off, and the handle construction is shoddy. After only a few uses, the pressure necessary to unscrew the lid after boiling cut through the internal post, and the handle can't screw on tight enough to keep from spinning. I now have to put the lid on loosely or it won't come off using the handle alone. Quite a headache with a hot pot. The non-stick surface is also wearing off where the lid comes in contact with it. Not a great design.

I have an old pressure cooker--which is why I needed a new gasket. It's hard to tell which replacement part to order, beginning with even knowing what the model number is of the one I have. Once I found it, I looked in a number of places to try to cross-reference the model with the gasket part numbers, and thought I had it right. Goodman's price was right, so I was thrilled to order.

It arrived promptly.

It didn't fit.

I failed. Why? Lack of information.

It would be very helpful if someone would simply list the inside and outside diameter of the gasket, so I could measure the one I have (or the cooker itself) and get one the same size.

I ordered this for a friend. He thought his pressure cooker was useless. Now, he's grinning from ear to ear! He, and I, rate this 9909 pressure cooker gasket seal kit EXCELLENT.

Best Deals for 9909 pressure cooker gasket seal kit.

I Have an old presto pressure cooker and the model # was visible on the bottom so ordering the required seal wasn't a problem. When it arrived I immediately tried to put it in and found it was way too big. It had at least 1 inch too much gasket for what I needed. I called and asked them to check to make sure it was the correct gasket. It was, according to their info. So, they sent me another in case the original was incorrectly marked. Again, no fit. So, I was very disappointed with this transaction. I ordered 2 other pieces to go with the pot but now, without a gasket, the pot is useless. I will scout around at Tru Value or Aubuchons to see if I can locate the correct presto gasket. I was given a credit but I would have liked the correct gasket. Generic brands are not the way to go. I will have to get a presto gasket.

Honest reviews on 9909 pressure cooker gasket seal kit.

Just thought I would mention that if you do your research, these can work for applications they arent sold for.

I found this gasket works fine on an old 1948 During Scale-O-Matic 4qt pressure cooker I have. Just after WWII there many pressure cooker manufacturers that started up in USA, think around eleven. During was one of these. They pretty quickly fell by the wayside leaving market mostly to Presto and Mirro. Far as I can tell they were only sold for couple years or so.

So though there arent lot of these old During cookers out there, thought I would mention it does fit (might have to stretch it slightly with your hands all around, before install). Just in case another During owner does a search. There really isnt any info on During cookers on the internet, not that I could find anyway.

It was either this gasket or buy a square foot of 1/8" thick neoprene and cut my own. This was cheaper.

We had a difficult time locating a gasket for this pressure cooker. The gasket fits perfectly and we were very satisfied with the service.

This would be a great pot to subsitute for a dutch oven for a single person or couple because of it's smaller size. We are a family of 4 and it is the perfect size for side dishes like baked beans also. When you don't need the bigger 5 quart dutch oven, this pan gets the job done. As always, LOVE the pre-seansoning!

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Despite being named a "serving pot", this is a functional Dutch oven.

Introductory note: I don't cook. I famously don't cook. I destroy kitchen equipment. I'm known for trying to make ramen and setting the water on fire. I was once boiling water for pasta when the bottom of the pan made a loud explodey noise and developed a new hole. Several friends won't allow me in or near their kitchens now.

I recently bought a slew of Lodge Logic stuff, after resigning myself to the fact that the price tag on my nice cookware, coupled with the knowledge that I explode or incinerate anything cooking-related that I touch, is going to forever intimidate me into leaving them unused in the cupboard. Cast iron, I thought, should be able to survive even me.

I did season my "pre-seasoned" pots, by warming them on the stovetop, wiping them down with Crisco, and stacking them in a 350-degree oven for an hour with a cookie sheet under them to catch drips. Every one of them has performed superbly since, handling everything I've thrown at them flawlessly. If you're a terrible cook -and I mean, water-catches-fire, pans-explode, dangerously terrible cook like me-give cast iron a try before you give up.

Crazy let's-see-if-this-works attempt one, modified from a much larger recipe: Set the oven preheating to 350. On a medium-low burner (about "three-and-a-half" on my electric range), cook about two inches of a roll of sausage in the pot. Peel and slice a potato while it cooks, while desultorily poking at the sausage occasionally to turn it and break it into clumps. The sausage should be nice and brown and done through before you scoop it out onto a paper towel to drain. After scooping out the sausage onto a paper towel, but leaving the sausage grease in the pan, spread the potato slices across the bottom. Stir and turn them for a few minutes, then spread them out into a single layer again and crumble the cooked sausage over them. Pour about half a small carton of egg substitute over the sausage and potatoes. Cover with grated Cheddar or sliced cheese-food-product. Put the lid on, bang the whole mess into the oven, and ignore it for a while. When your stomach rumbles, wander back to it and find a poofy, unhealthy, delicious mess of breakfast inside. This turned out so well I had three breakfasts in a row, at one sitting.

If you want to look like you know what you're doing, get some small, cute cookie cutters and cut out a few shapes from the cooked potato slices. Save these out and put them on top of the cheese during the oven phase. This makes the final dish look like you know what you're doing and spent hours at it. Total time actually working: 15 minutes.

Crazy let's-see-if-this-works attempt two, also modified from a larger recipe: Gather a 30-ish-ounce can of peaches in syrup, a cheap box of plain cake mix, some cinnamon, and some butter. Dump the can of peaches in the pot, with about half the syrup. Shake out half the box of cake mix on top at pat it out even with a spoon or spatula or something. Sprinkle cinnamon over that and put a few dollops of butter around the surface. Put the lid on, shove it in the oven, and turn the oven on to 350. (Forgetting about -I mean, choosing against! -preheating the oven lets the pot warm with the oven and prevents thermal shock.) After an hour or so (or however long it takes to watch the new episode of Doctor Who and forget about the cobbler completely), remember in a startled panic that "OH WHOOPS I HAVE FOOD IN THE OVEN!" and run to check on it. Chances are, the tantalizing smell of the cake mix baking together with the peach syrup was what reminded you of your food, and the cobbler is ready to serve. Present it to your guests as though you spent more than 5 minutes upending boxes, jars, and cans into an empty pot, and watch it disappear.

Thanks to cast iron, I might get the hang of this cooking thing after all.

More seriously, I have yet to make something in this pot that didn't come out delicious, and -I cannot emphasize this enough -*I can't cook*. I could theorize about how the even heating and lack of hot spots makes the pot act more the way inexperienced chefs expect a pot to act, or I could go on about the effects of starting on the stovetop and transferring the dish to the oven, or I could rhapsodize about the joys of a pot allergic to being washed that only needs wiping clean and a light coating of oil before storing it, but the gist is this: ANYONE can cook in cast iron. Even me. And for experimenting, or cooking for one or two people, this little skillet/saucepan/casserole-dish is an inexpensive (and thus far indestructible!) way to start.

Just... don't put it in the microwave. Stay away from the microwave, and you'll be fine.

Best Deals for Lodge L2SP3 Cast Iron Serving Pot, Black, 2-Quart

This is a great pot -so great in fact that within a half hour of its delivery, I was ordering a second from Amazon.

Think of it as: a two quart Dutch Oven; an 8 inch wide, three inch (almost) tall skillet WITH LID; a braising pan for a couple of chicken breasts; a sauce pan; a casserole dish.

This is a lot of pot, especially for the price!

I'd given up on cast iron because I could never seem to get and keep the iron seasoned. But Lodge's new preseasoning solves my problem -I'm now replacing all my cookware with Lodge Logic (the fact it's an American company makes me even happier). THANKS, Lodge!

Honest reviews on Lodge L2SP3 Cast Iron Serving Pot, Black, 2-Quart

This is probably the cutiest and the least used cast iron cookware in my collection. If you need to cook anything which requires stirring, this one is too small. There is too little room to toss and turn the food around. It maybe fine for heating soups and beans etc. but then its an overkill to buy something for just heating stuff. I often find myself using the 3 quart chicken frier a lot. Even if you make smaller quantities of food, you still need some room to maneuver.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Lodge L2SP3 Cast Iron Serving Pot, Black, 2-Quart

I love this pot so much that I just ordered 2 more. We put all our side dishes in this. The size is perfect. It has a nice weight, not too heavy to handle.

It comes pre-seasoned which is convenient. As always with Lodge, quality is great. Nothing sticks and cleanup is a breeze.

We are trying to convert all our cooking over to cast iron. Cast iron lasts forever, cleanup is easy, things don't stick and I feel it is so much safer than using something with Teflon or aluminum.

Excellent quality spoon. Much sturdier than I thought it was going to be when I saw the pictures. Am using it constantly in the kitchen along with the other wooden spoons I bought on Amazon. Great quality for the price! No complaints.

Update 3-7-2011: Well this spoon has traveled its way through lots of spaghetti sauce, soups, noodles, casseroles and so much more, while enduring countless washings in soap and water. All I can say is that after four years, I don't think this spoon is ever going to wear out! I keep it in a stainless steal canister on my kitchen counter top along with the wooden hammer and other wooden utensils I bought like this one and for over four years, I sure have gotten value for my money. This spoon should be wearing a cape and cowl given how well it has stood up to such a grueling four year trial in my kitchen!

I first thought $5 for a spoon??!! But ordered it anyway because it looked good and sturdy. The spoon proved to be worth every penny!!! Its very sturdy and convenient to stir large quantities of food. It works great especially when stirring sticky stuff, since its very strong. I haven't used any other spoon while cooking since I bought this. Highly recommend this.

Best Deals for OXO Good Grips Large Wooden Slotted Spoon

I needed to replace our old wooden spoons that were starting to look like they came over on the Mayflower. In the past, I had tried some from the dollar store, only to have them break when the gravy started to thicken. Won't have that problem with these OXO Good Grips. Not fancy, but very sturdy.

Honest reviews on OXO Good Grips Large Wooden Slotted Spoon

Bought this for my enameled cast iron dutch oven, since you can't use metal for those. I've used the regular Oxo spoons for years, but I needed a slotted one this time because I only had a metal one. It's a big spoon, it works..not a lot else to say.

I can't speak to the longevity of this particular spoon, but I have some regular Oxo spoons that are probably 7+ years old, which have been in the dishwasher probably twice a week since I got them, and they are holding up fine. They have turned a little darker and the color has dulled a bit, similar to what happens to anything wooden that gets left outside for a long time, but they still perform the same as the day I bought them. So, if those spoons are any indication, I would suspect that this one will last nearly a lifetime because slotted spoons don't get used nearly as much.

This is a nice, heavy, spoon good balance, sturdy and smooth surface. I wash it by hand to avoid excess wear by the dishwasher I bought an Oxo wooden spatula as well same good quality.

I purchased this knife by itself (not in a set) and find it to live up to it's "utility" claims. For those of you who buy knives individually instead of in large sets, this is a nice addition. I was looking for something smaller to compliment my Santoku Chef's knife, but thought the smaller paring knife wouldn't be very useful for much else. This size works well for small chopping tasks and is easy to use for paring as well.

It really doesn't make much sense to get a set that includes several of these smaller knives. This one alone has exceeded all expectations.

The Wusthof 4 1/2 Inch Utility Knife is perfect for almost any small to medium size job in the kitchen. It is exceptionally well balanced and almost infinitely adaptable. The knife is amazingly sharp when it comes out of the box, and holds a great edge even after a lot of use. I find this knife to be my personal cutting implement of choice when I need something smaller than a boning knife.

Wusthof knives have been in my kitchen for years and they are the best knives I have ever used. I used to be a chef in a gourmet beef restaurant and I would have loved to have had a set of Wusthofs then. Now I have my own set, but of all the knives in my kitchen I think this one probably gets the most use. Buy a Wusthof once, and never replace it: they are expensive but worth every penny.

Best Deals for Wusthof Classic 4-1/2-Inch Utility Knife

There are really two main competitors in the high-end mainstream kitchen knife market: Henckels and Wusthof. Those who have used both usually have a preference. My preference (and therefore bias you should know about) is for the Wusthofs.

The Wusthof Classic line is the more conservative counterpart to the Grand Prix line. The only difference, however, is the handle style. I personally prefer the Grand Prix, but this is an issue of personal preference. The balance and grip of these knives are as close to perfect as I have found. For those wondering what benefits a higher priced knife provides, one benefit is that the blade (or tang) is one piece all the way through the handle. This makes the blade much stronger, and less likely to snap.

The Wusthof 4 ½ inch utility knife is a great all-around knife. This is the knife I use for the majority of my small chopping work (when I don't use a Chef's knife).

Honest reviews on Wusthof Classic 4-1/2-Inch Utility Knife

I've had a set of walnut handled Chicago Cutlery for 25 years, but after thanksgiving my two paring knives disappeard. So after reading all the reviews I cought this knife and a 3 1/2". WOW razor sharp and nicely balanced. It's a keeper. I only wish I could afford to buy all new Wusthof knives.

Make sure you are getting the knife you want! I am pretty sure the photo above is of a Wusthof 4066. The knife I received was a Wusthof 4110. The Wusthof website lists the 4110 as a Salami knife. The bar code on the back of the boxed knife I received lists it as a Utility Knife. I am sure it is a nice knife, but it isn't what I wanted or ordered. I went back and read all the reviews, and only one of the reviews I read hinted that the knife had a serrated blade.

I have bought this from the seller "authentic korea", I have used a few non stick pans in my life (I have even used the Orgreenic pan) and ruined them all after multiple uses. I have a tendency to over heat and sear my steaks causing the pan to stick after a few uses. So far this pan performs as advertised. I am a skeptical buyer but I really am impressed with the quality. I noticed when I was washing this pan out of box that the water beads up in the sink almost like oil. I even tried prepping the pan like you do with most "non-stick" with little oil and medium heat. Only to realize that it is not unnecessary as the oil doesn't get absorbed. I have already seared steak, chicken breast, pork chops. They all just wipe off with a little bit of water and sponge. I'll try to report back after a few months but so far i'm really happy with it.

I ordered this potato masher because I was having such a hard time finding one I liked in stores. I wanted one that was metal, sturdy, and didn't have to much spacing in the mash area. I stumbled upon this and it seemed to fit what I was looking for. Boy was I surprised when I got this. It is perfect. Extremely well built and great quality metal and rubber. Doesn't wobble or bend what so ever. It even has some weight to it to add more to the mash and well built construction. The handle area is perfectly shaped for ones hand and provides a perfect grip. The mashing area just goes right through the potato with no problems at all. Nothing gets stuck and it is perfect for those who like a more smooth mashed potato.

It's just a potato masher, right? Then I can't explain why it's so fantastic, but it is! It's not shaped anything like other potato mashers, which is what drew me to it in the first place. The ergonomic handle is great, it's very sturdy, has a nifty bowl scraper and mashes like a dream. Before getting this, I used my Kitchenaid stand mixer to make mashed potatoes. My husband took one crack at some cooked potatoes with this thing and was amazed. Perfectly smooth mashed potatoes with hardly any effort. I've since also used it to mash other things, like when I was trying to extract juice from some pineapple chunks. Worked great for that too! Someone else had mentioned it was hard to fit in a drawer.... we have what I would consider to be perfectly standard sized drawers and it fits just fine.

I have bought several potato mashers over the last few months in an effort to find a good one, and this one is absolutely the best of the lot. It is made of very heavy metal so it doesn't bend, and it smashes even undercooked potatoes. The size is perfect small enough to fit into a smaller bowl for avocados, but large enough to handle a big batch of potatoes. And it is tall enough that you don't burn your hands when you first dig in and the handle has rubber for a good grip. The holes are different sizes so you get a fairly smooth consistency. This is the one I use now.

I don't mash potatoes, but if I ever choose to do so, this ill definitely be my first choice. No, I got it to mash beans. Pinto and black beans for bean dip, pinto beans for refried beans, and garbanzos for hummus. I also use it for mashing the split peas that I stew into soup in my slow cooker. A wire masher wouldn't work well for these jobs. A food processor is an unnecessary sledgehammer for the smaller jobs that I do, and I don't feel like spending the money right now anyway.

This masher is very sturdy, with stainless surfaces that make it pretty easy to clean ss well. The handle is comfortably curved and ergonomic. It's appearance is sleek and cooler, much nicer than I expected from the picture.

Using this tool to mash beans has also turned out to be surprisingly easy. I usually heat them some in a sauté pan or 12-inch skillet to get plenty of flat surface to work with. And then I mash. This has been practically effortless. There is a tendency for the mash to go through the holes and gather on top of the mashing surface, but this is easily cleaned off with a Xyliss spreading knife.

Since I bought this used from the Amazon Warehouse, I paid a bit less than the current list price. And I have to say, it is one of the best $10 purchases I've ever made.

I have an antique masher that belonged to my grandmother that I absolutely love, but it was starting to really get rusted (it's over 50 years old!) I have used many mashers in the past, and most of them cannot hold up to the use I put the poor things through, so finding a masher that I actually liked was quite a feat. This masher has a great design with a very 'grippable' handle, the holes in the masher are perfect for making creamy mashed potatoes, and it has the strength needed to plow through whatever you might need to mash! The price is great and this tool is made to stand up to years of use if you are looking for a masher look no further order this one!

I bought this at [a local store]. I love this pan. Tough, durable, nice heavy (without being too heavy) weight, able to take oven to stove to fridge without warping unlike some other cheap pans I have. Cleaning is a breeze. This really WOULD be my everyday pan except for the fact that it's a little smaller in size to be truly an everyday pan and I'm only cooking for 2 people. Fork over the money and pay a little more to get the 12 inch pan. That will be much more practical.

Got this little Calphalon pan about two months ago because of its price. Have been impressed with it ever since! Heats fast and evenly. Can cook on much lower temps than I do with my commercial stainless steel cookware. This "three-layer" nonstick coating IS FAR SUPERIOR TO CALPHALON'S TWO-LAYER NONSTICK USED ON SOME OF ITS OTHER PRODUCT LINES! Downside: a) Thought it would be made in Toledo, OH, as are other Calphalon Commercial pans, but was made in China; b) Is on the smallish side and its rounded sides make spillage and overflow a problem if you fill it much more than half-capacity with something that requires stirring--don't expect to cook servings for more than two or three in it; c) Lid and handles do get hot, so have to be careful. But overall, given its price and quality--not to mention its pleasing aesthetics--it is a "must have" pan for every kitchen! (Curiously, despite Calphalon describing this pan as its "commercial" line, the lifetime warranty notes that it does not apply if "used in commercial establishments"!)

This was my second Calphalon purchase and the first non-stick. I'm not a big fan of non-stick, but this is great. Use it almost everyday. We have a Vegetarian Communist in our house and sometimes it is necessary to cook the same thing in two different pans...this comes in really handy when I want to leave something cooking while I concentrate on real food. Never had anything stick to this or burn, looks great too, have actually brought it to the table and served from it. Makes a great frittata, but be careful if you use it in the oven, not for use under the broiler. The handles get VERY hot. I knew that when I bought it, but just last night I picked it up without a pot holder and have the blisters to prove it. I can't believe I went all these years cooking without Calphalon, it's the best. Cleans up without any effort, a swish of the sponge and it's clean, or you could let the cat lick it out, nothing sticks to it. If you want what you're cooking to brown, this is not the pan to use, grab the hard-anodized for browning to perfection. Ciao!

I use this pan virtually every day, from 2 person stir-fry to successive omelettes, to re-heating a quick piece of chicken or hamburger or steak. It is perfect for 2 toad-in-the-hole or a succession of crepes. I use it to reduce sauces. It goes in the sink, quick swipe with a detergent sponge and back to the stove. It is probably the most functional pan I have ever used.

I bought this pan based on the performance and construction of other Calphalon cookware I've purchased. However, as soon as I unpacked this one, it was apparent that the workmanship and finish was significantly below my other Calphalon pans. The pan rim was unevenly ground the lid fits flat, but looks uneven when the lid is removed. The polished lid has numerous tiny pits and marks not found on my U.S. made Calphalon. I suppose this is one of the trade-offs for the great price, although if I were Calphalon, I'd market the China-made line under a different name if they can't maintain the quality standards of the Ohio made line.

I had previously purchased the 9" Commercial Nonstick Collector's Edition Everyday Pan with Lid from Amazon, which was made in the Ohio, and was very impressed with the contruction and finish. (It also works very well, but is a bit tippy on burners when empty.)

Cooking quality is fine so far. I hope the nonstick finish will prove as durable as the U.S. made pans.

The size, overall appearance, and dual loop handles allows this pan to work well as a serving piece on the table for casual dining.
